Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore

Mentioned on
Basilica
Sights & Landmarks
This imposing church, built in the Romanesque style, is dedicated to St. Zeno and dates back to the 5th century AD. The building is richly decorated with frescoes and bronze doors with depictive scenes from the Bible. The interior is also home to an impressive altarpiece by noted Renaissance artist Mantegna. If you're visiting Verona during Vinitaly, this should definitely be on your list of sights to see.
Very beautiful church. Amazing altar and the bronze door. Worth a visit. Is just 15 minutes walk away from the city center. The tickets cost only 3 euro.
Ciprian Biclineru — Google review
Very nice basilica with great history, you get a written and app guide with entry ticket which is great. There is also information on the remains of St Zeno within the crypt which was very interesting. Seeing the restoration and renovation work was nice.
Hashim Fakhreddin — Google review
This is an absolutely stunning basilica, the architecture on the interior and exterior is gorgeous. This lovely church also has a very unique feature as it houses a crypt. It’s very well preserved and maintained, it’s got lots of beautiful works of art and holy relics. The inside of the church is very tranquil and peaceful. Its courtyard and gardens are beautiful, I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I would definitely recommend visiting this Basilica when visiting Verona.
Pong Lenis — Google review
Very nice church worth seeing. The church is a short walk away from the center of the city. This might be a disadvantage to some, but for us it was an advantage since this was the least touristic sight we saw in Verona. Admission is low (3 euros) and there is a free audio guide app. Most definitely worth visiting if you don't mind a small walk :)
Jip Hekerman — Google review
Great church. It is not the best in the city though as the other major cathedrals are likely better. Still great church which through its architecture and it’s double floor showcases the evolution of Christianity in Verona. The wooden ceiling is particularly wonderful, would recommend going with daylight.
Kristi Mitre — Google review
Stunning church - wonderful frescos and the bronze door is magnificent. A little way from the centre but we’ll worth the short walk!
Chris ennew — Google review
It's crypt was the place of the marriage of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. So we had to see it and it didn't disappoint. There is a 4eur entrance fee which we were happy to pay to help preserve this. It's rather simple painted on the inside, but very grand. Something different. We walked from the old city, along the river so we've stopped at various places on the way.
Ramona Crisan — Google review
It is one of the main churches in Verona and far from others. It is in the center but, you have to walk other direction. Interior side has the bronze doors which is the most famous and Frescoes that you are able to interesting. And, the second book of Dante has one moment that San. Zeno and Dante have met. You will see the enterence about this story.
Ömür UZGİDİM — Google review
Beautiful church. Fair price and nice to see
Markus Lochner — Google review
On the outside it looks spectacular and very good. Architecture is also amazing. However it is not free of charge. You must pay 4 Euros to get of which I did not do.

First I’ve been attracted By Andrea’s Painting, however when I was there, I found the frescoes more attractive.
Hao Yu — Google review
This church was beautiful and unique. There is an exquisite cloistered courtyard, and an impressive crypt. It's okay if the Verona Card, and it's definitely the best of Verona's churches!!
Calum Carswell — Google review
This breathtaking Basilica is a bit out of the way from the more popular tourist stops in Verona. When we were there we nearly had it to ourselves and it was such a tranquil and almost soothing place to be. There are gorgeous, ancient frescos and a stunningly beautiful crypt. The relics of Zemo, the patron Saint of Verona are here too. A very special experience. Loved it.
Kym McKenna — Google review
Wonderful old church in Verona. Goes back to at least the 4th century, was badly damaged by the barbarians toward the end of the 10th century, and then badly damaged again by a major earthquake in the 12th century. The bronze paneled doors are exceptional, and the church architecture is breathtaking. Well worth visiting!
Peter Curran — Google review
The Basilica of San Zeno was constructed between 967 and 1398 AD in the Romanesque style. Its interior is a mix of Romanesque and Gothic, and holds the San Zeno Altarpiece by Renaissance painter Andrea Mantegna.

A Basilica! Yepp... Is a tone in Italy! Or... maybe not. Because each has his different beauty, style, story. This is one of them. Worth visiting if you are in Verona
Zoltan Marius Bursan — Google review
Exquisite basilica a little away from the busy areas that must feature as part of your Verona itinerary. Take note of the “graffiti” etched into the frescoes on the walls spanning hundreds of years - a reminder that people (just like now) enjoyed letting the world know “they were here”.
Zack Austin — Google review
Doing the Hop on Hop off on a Sunday not only was the church lovely but they also had a flea market in the square. Nice stop for pizza and refreshment
T A — Google review
Majestic and beautiful temple with frescos dated back to the 13th century. The inside of the church is amazing, from the beautiful window to the wooden ceiling, the church looks amazing. The most incredible is the cloistered abbey, with each many pillars. There is a crypt housing the body of St. Zeno, which traditionally is believed to be the place Romeo and Juliet got married. The temple of St. Zeno is definitely worth a visit while you're in Verona.

Ponte Scaligero

Mentioned on
Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The Castelvecchio Bridge is a medieval bridge which spans the Adige River in Verona. It was built by the Scaligeri family in the 14th century, and reconstructed after World War II. The bridge is well-preserved, and is one of the most important monuments to see in Verona.
The bridge retains a lot of its original feel - you can see the way it's supposed to protect the river and it keeps all of its medieval charm. As many bridges around the world, it boasts it's lover's locks, but in here they stay gates covering recesses to old windows, so in a very stable place with little chance of creating real structural damage. Being Verona, you can also find love notes on the walls and ledges, as in so many other places in the city. You can climb on the top part of the bridge for a beautiful view of the city and to make really charming pictures. What else can a tourist want?
Diana Prallon — Google review
What an amazing medieval bridge, it’s very well kept, it’s been restored and renovated. It’s in very good condition and it’s definitely very fascinating. Very educational and interesting, it has a museum located inside the castle. Which has an armoury and several statues and artifacts in and around the grounds. This is a very lovely bridge. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Pong Lenis — Google review
Looks like somewhere straight out of Game of Thrones. Museum is quite good loads of nice art and only €6 which also lets you walk the castle ramparts. Bridge is a continuation of the castle. Some nice views up and down river for Happy snaps.
Barry Smith — Google review
Beautiful castle located directly on the river in Verona. Easy to access. Immensely impressive structure with daunting walls which could repel even the most heroic medieval invaders attempting to breach the castle walls Great photo opportunity on the bridge connecting both sides of the river. Be sure to go early to get the best lighting from the rising Verona sun Final take...Go and incorporate a visit here with a full walk along the river.
Markus ?markobear1? — Google review
A magical place that teleports you to a different time. Walking on the bridge one can feel the weight of all the history that must've happened here... The surrounding areas are also maintained well to add to the experience. We kept returning to the bridge multiple times to see how it looks during different times of day and gotta say, we weren't disappointed 😜😎
Ritesh Kumar — Google review
Nice medieval bridge, rebuilt after ww2, good for a walk, the walk path goes through Castelvecchio, free for public access, lovely views of the river. Not as impressive as other historical bridges, but ok to visit.
Chris — Google review
This is one of those place that you shall not miss. Make sure you spend some good time here and especially on the bridge. Museum is not free of charge but inside you can go and check the castle. Bridge is super amazing.
Mustafa Arikan — Google review
This is a must see if you are in Verona, it was the highlight to our trip apart from the arena, you can stop off and sit and gaze out onto the river at the little alcoves along the way and when you get to the other side you can go down to the beach or take amazing photos overlooking the bridge. Most probably there's a good sunset view from here but we ran out of time
wondersoul — Google review
Possibly the most magnificent bridge I've ever seen! Part bridge, part castle, part fortress...absolutely beautiful and such great views up and down the river. We got some lovely photos from here. Would recommend.

One of, if not the most beautiful places I've witnessed. Don't sleep on it, it's an absolute must-do in Verona. Romantic, beautiful, clean, and breathtaking during the sunset.
Kwame Obroni — Google review
A marvelous bridge with views of Arco dei Gavi, Castelvecchio, Adige River and Verona. Be very careful going up to and down from the balconies as there are no guardrails and no handles to hold. It is a bridge not to be skipped.
A Karasahin — Google review
A beautiful fortified medieval bridge in Castel vecchio (old castle) in Verona. The path next to the Adige River offers amazing views of the bridge and is a perfect spot for a walk and taking photos. The bridge was constructed during the 14th century, using red brick in the upper part and white marble in the lower one. You can't miss this when visiting Verona!
Michael Stavrakakis — Google review
I visted the bridge during the day and at night and it worth visiting. Walking in the bridge give a beautiful view on the river for both sides. At the end of the bridge you could go down to the left and go under the bridge where you can chill there. And there is a park with a small man-made lake, that children could play on it, at the other side of the bridge which you could have a picnic there. Worth visiting.

The Basilica di Santa Anastasia is a massive, 13th-century Italian Gothic church in Verona. The interior is packed with artworks, frescoes, and reliefs you must see.
If i could i would give it 10 stars. The most jaw dropping interior i have ever seen. So beautiful!!
Pamela — Google review
Wandered in in a freezing, wet January. Really interesting church reflecting many eras of Verona’s rich and sumptuous past. Particularly interesting was how different the bass relief work was for the different chapels, all paid for by rich men over the centuries. The frescoes are beautiful.
Lizzie Smith — Google review
There are 4 main churches in Verona. Basilica di Santa Anastasia is one of them. If you will enter just this church, you will pay 4€ or there is another option that you can buy ticket for 4 of them which cost just 8€. It is in the center of Verona. When you enter, you will see the two little "holy water stoup from 1495 and 1591. The walls are covered in a series of 24 tableaux in terracotta that you see all the story of Jesus.
Ömür UZGİDİM — Google review
Stunning ancient church that is well worth the visit. The price for admission is 3 euro but it is also included in the Verona city pass, which allows you to visit free of charge.

The basilica is absolute beauty. Every figurines has a history and with good explanation. You can enjoy by reading the description in maps provided or in front as well.
akshi manglik — Google review
Beautiful Basilica. The inside is well maintained and well organized for the guests. Easy to understand and they also give you a QR code for a free audio guide. All the stories and myths are very fascinating. Some sections of the Basilica was beautifully made. There were few detailed sculptures which looked amazing. This is probably one of the best Basilica in Verona. We were there close the closing time of the Basilica but the guards are very nice and friendly, the did not kick guests out exactly at 18h. They very much appreciate the guests taking time to visit this place.
Bharat Balakrishnan — Google review
Most amazing Church i have ever seen in my entire life. The sculptures stole my heart and the paintings... i cant even find a word to describe. So glad and lucky to be able to see it.

Amazing worth the price. I can't understand why everyone complains that something costs money, but there is no such thing as a "free lunch"

One of the nicest churches in Verona. You have to pay to enter but if you buy Verona City card for 20€ you can see this church and 14 other sites for that price.

It's probably the most beautiful church in Verona... and Verona has many amazing churches, so make sure not to miss it. The basilica of Saint Anastasia was built by the Dominican order and during the 13th century. It is the largest church in Verona, and it is definitely majestic. There is a combined ticket for 8 euro to visit this and three other main churches of Verona.
Michael Stavrakakis — Google review
The Basilica of Sant'Anastasia is the largest church in Verona, completed in the 15th century in the Gothic style. Its façade is unfinished.

As a free “attraction” it is definitely worth a visit. Even if you are not religious the artwork and splendour of the Chapels deserve to be seen. Absolutely beautiful inside which is not even hinted at by the outside.

Restaurant
It is a prestigious and centuries-old wine bar that offers tapas, Italian meals, and a range of regional and national wines. It is popular for its Old World atmosphere and boisterous clientele. The most popular dish at this restaurant is risotto Amarone because it was made here first.
Excellent service/wine pairing. I liked the atmosphere although I'm not sure Rock music matched the venue...husband liked that though :). A tad on the expensive side, but worth it. Authentic cuisine with some new flavours. Best book in advance and be aware that you have the table for max 2 hours. Menu on website doesn' match the one at the restaurant itself exactly. Would definitely recommend dinner here!
Amanda Geismann — Google review
Very good food, great wine selection - the service doesn’t match the price though. We booked an reservation for the evening after ordering some great wine a day before. The restaurant was empty and the two of us were offered a place behind a refrigerator in a separate, empty room. Again, the place was empty and didn’t fill up. It was still half empty when we left at 9pm. Upon asking wether we could switch tables, we were told that we can move next to the toilet in the main room. We carried our glasses and bottles to this table ourselves with no interest from the waiter or offer to help lest alone asking whether we wanted some wine, we asked for the wine card after sitting at the table for quite some time without any service. No one refilled the wine while we were there, asked whether the food tasted etc. Different waiter took our order for wine - recommendation was on point. Bottle is pretty highly priced in in sale. Food was very good as well. Overall wouldn’t recommend this place as the lack of attentiveness and basic consideration for placement is not appropriate for the price range.
Tanja S — Google review
The wine selection was amazing coupled with great food. They could have done a better job at helping guests get seated at the table but once we got seated, the service was excellent. Recommend booking ahead if you want to visit this place.
Christopher Teoh (Chris) — Google review
WOW what a place!! If you are looking for local restaurant and wine bar that THE place. The restaurant is elegant and has cozy vibe. It tends to be pretty crowded so make a reservation in advance. There are tables for bigger and smaller groups. We highly recommend trying the pasta as well as schnitzel. The place offers huge variety of wines so it’s a perfect place for degustation. The prices were a bit higher than usual but for the quality and atmosphere you get, it is 100% worth it
Ania Olszewska — Google review
If I could give this place more than five stars I seriously would. We come to Verona just to eat at this restaurant basically. They're always changing the menu and the food is always incredible. They're not kidding when they say they're a winery because they're drinks book is basically longer than the Bible. The wine was amazing of course. The only thing is that my mom ordered the ravioli and she said they were too few, so be warned. I ordered the yellow risotto and it did not disappoint! This is the perfect spot for a pre-opera dinner in the summer or a delicious lunch on any day.
Maria Jose Rodriguez — Google review
We love and hate this place. We loved the food and wine and atmosphere. Individually we liked our waiters; they are kind and talented. We loved the wine Bible too and if you want some amazing and original wine from Northern Italy this is your spot. We HATED the restaurant procedures which make getting a reservation difficult (book on google at own risk - it will show free time but they can reject it and Verona is a town where you need reservations for nice places so you will be left without Other options) and if they want your table after 90 minutes they’ll ask you to leave even if you have half a bottle of barbaresco wine on your table (not just us everyone in restaurant has to leave for 9pm seating). I would probably go again because this restaurant has a perfect expression of Italian design, wonderful food and incredible wine — it is living history. But this restaurant could easily be a 4,8 stars or more stars and they’re held back by being a**holes.
Michael McAllister — Google review
Probably one of the coolest experiences I've had around the world. On a Vinitaly evening, the energy in and outside this iconic venue is unmatched. Didn't sit or eat inside but had a few bottles of amazing wine in the alley outside on top of a recycling bin... yes! It was amazing. The wine list is unbelievable.
Samuel Lacroix — Google review
Amazing historic restaurant in the heart of Madrid. This is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Europe. Hemingway famously ate here. Goya was a waiter here before becoming an enigmatic artist. The restaurant features beautiful paintings and antique decorations. The service is traditional, and it is fun to interact with the waiters wearing the older style of clothing. Beyond the history, they serve the best roast lamb I’ve ever had. I love lamb and would have roast lamb nearly every week growing up, so that is saying something. They roast it in a rustic wood fire. It is simply seasoned, highlighting the quality of the meat. It is served how it originally was centuries ago - with two potatoes. It pairs well with red wine. I also recommend the artichokes.

An amazing restaurant and wine bar with an extensive wine cellar of over 18,000 bottles of wine. The 5 of us had an amazing dinner which included appetizers and main courses of osso buco, veal cutlet and braised beef cheeks. Highly recommend you book this restaurant if you are visiting Verona.

My concierge in Venice told me I MUST come here for dinner! Bless his heart. lol It wouldn’t have been my first choice as a solo traveler since it has a very social ambiance, even with conjoined tables but I made the best of it. Aside from the noise and servers constantly passing, it’s a beautiful and characteristic restaurant. The servers are professional but also a bit playful. (See photos haha). Shoutout to the medieval menu that thumped on my table. Gave me a good laugh. I noticed a teeny tiny bar at the front near the register. Could be a good place to meet people. Food was good. (Not memorable). I’d return with some company and ask for a table away from the walking aisle. ;)

Great Italian bottega with the largest wine book you ever saw in a restaurant. We had a 2012 Brunello which was amazing!

Great vibe with nice food! The price quality is mwah but it was a great experience. The turbot wasn’t that good but the rabbit and pasta were absolutely amazing! We got a great wine recommended to us by the waiter, who was super friendly the whole night. Furthermore, the antipasta was great but not worth the price. The super small tomato salad was tasty but not worth 14/16 euros, but the squid at 20 euros was worth it! Really nice vibe and great to keep drinking their delicious wines outside or inside!!
Isabel van den Berg — Google review
Everything about this place screams AMAZING! The meal was great, but the apertivo was standout, the best we had in Verona! The crowd is beautiful , the wines are phenomenal, and the appetizers are on point ! Make a reservation for dinner and show up early to get a good table because it sells out. The Apertivo is hopping from 5:30-7, but you get moving at 6:59 cause they need the space for dinner. Note the keep a hard and fast rule to the seating times. Plan accordingly. Service is outstanding!!

The beautiful old wooden interior of this restaurant makes for a terrific atmosphere. There is a plaque out front designating it as typical Veronese cuisine. They have an absolute encyclopaedic volume of wine from all over Europe, with a couple of hundred pages. It was a really memorable way to enjoy our last dinner in Italy and totally worthwhile. The meals were all reasonably priced and they have a great blackboard full of decent wines priced by the glass. Highly recommended.

Outdoor seating is available and wheelchair access is also provided.
We loved the food, everything was amazing, also the service. We had a very nice waiter, who knew his way with wines and tasting.Nice manners also.Compliments to the chef and the staff, who really know their job. The table was not very comfortable, as it had a middle block foot and i could not stretch my legs especially as a woman wearing high heels, so i had to sit sideways all the time. Also, it was a little chill inside, but i noticed that's how it is everywhere, in every restaurant. If you wear sweater and winter boots, you're safe. But if you wear a dress with high heels be ready to shiver. The prices are actually cheap. We payed for 2 people around 500 euro 2 menus, a bottle of white wine, 2 grappas and a bottle of still water. In Romania, the same type of food but without the Michelin star, exceeds 500 euro for 2 people.Overall, if you like this type of food, you will love this restaurant. 100% recommend it!

Stunning experience. From the minute you enter the location, you are embraced by very friendly and attentive service. Food is above all expectations, I highly recommend to get a wine pairing - I promise you won’t regret it. We had tickets to Arena on the same evening, and the crew did everything to ensure we have a great evening and leave on time for the show. Can’t wait to be back and come here again without any hurry - because the place is absolutely worth to be the show on its own!

It’s in the center of Verona with restricted traffic, I use to park in the parking house in piazza isolo and walk over the bridge in case I don’t find any free parking. Food is really excellent, we had a 7+course menu and every dish was a real treat in appearance, fragrance, textures and flavors, just Wonderful! Service is good, very professional in a comfortable and not to stiff way. They are very interactive if required and t’s a pleasure to listen and ask about the food and wine served and they’ll take their time to explain it to you. The ambient is also very nice, warm and cozy and 5 hours just slipped away like nothing. Sincerely I could recommend every single dish I had, Al excellent but if I had to choose 2 I would warmly recommend the foie gras Bon Bon that just melts in your mouth revealing an explosion of delicate flavors, such a firework of taste, I never have enough of them! And the sour prune sorbet with shiso and coconut foam/Cream that so much reminded me of the traditional Japanese sour prune bon bons, in a reviewed, enriched and brought to art, way. A dinner at desco is absolutely an experience to repeat once in a while 👏🏻

Truly magnificent experience. From dish to dish, wine selection, aperitivos, and - most of all - chef and the entire team and their exceptional hospitality- this was a wonderful and delicious evening out. Cannot wait to return! Also, there were so many vegetarian options! They called in advance to ensure that proper care was taken for all dietary restrictions, which showed they go the extra mile with their guests. What an absolutely remarkable experience! Our wedding reception in the private room was nothing short of perfection. Antonio's service was truly exceptional; he not only expertly handled allergies and food preferences but also showcased an unmatched knowledge of wines. The nine-course tasting menu was a culinary masterpiece, with every dish being sheer perfection. Even when we dined at Osteria Francescana later in the week, it paled in comparison to the culinary delight we experienced at Ristorante Il Desco. Without a doubt, we're eagerly anticipating our return, and we should make that reservation right away to ensure we don't miss out on this exceptional dining experience again.

One of the best restaurants during my vacation in Italy. Talked with the owner. It seems the restaurant has quite long history back before 1940 and it is operated by the family.

Excellent food and service. The selection of Amarone wine was the right choice. It is a small restaurant but has a steady flow of customers. The staff appears to have a relationship with those entering the restaurant. We are glad to have had the opportunity to eat lunch here.

We had noticed that this restaurant has history. Arches founded 1877…. 5 generations. The interior has very old oak ceilings and 100 year old terrazzo floors. Beautiful and obviously sustainable. Food, service and quality is perfect. Porcini mushroom and scallops, brilliant. Scampi, wonderful! Staff have great appreciation of wine and are gracious and attentive. It’s rare to find this history and attention to tradition so easily presented. If you are looking for quality bought through tradition and family go there, relax and enjoy. Thank you , we loved our evening with you.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing - service was awesome, wine recommendation fantastic and food absolutely beautiful. I had the risotto amarone which seems so basic but was the best risotto I've ever eaten... Seriously don't understand how they made a red wine risotto with so much flavour! The horse stew with polenta is a local speciality, and was so so good - have never eaten horse before but definitely recommend! We had the baked custard for dessert and again was just so delicious. Loved this restaurant so much and highly recommend!

Delicious food and awesome staff. We had the smoked duck for a starter which was really tasty and had some lettuce which we really appreciated given that greens can be scarce in Italian restaurants. The potato dumplings with shrimps was really awesome and the risotto with swordfish as well.

Although we had a very high expectations, we were very disappointed with the fact that the items in the menu were missing and the staff only notified me about it after 30 minutes of waiting. And even when I changed the order, they again came and said me it’s missing again. My wife ordered pasta which was dry, not tasty and small. We were also waiting ages for our daughters food- just a plain spaghetti dish. Also the bill was incorrect. Very bad experience..

Good and pricy restaurant. BUT you have to understand that you order a “primi”, “secondi” and a main dish. We didn’t really get that and also didn’t feel well informed by the staff. It was quite chaotic and most of us went home hungry (since they didn’t order three course).

Sensational. Ideal place for a lunch stop while visiting the city. Kind staff , peaceful environment and delicious food. We ordered the croaker torteloni, first time ordering a fish stuffed pasta, and was so good. We order one dish to share and they already brought 2 dishes with the whole portion, picture is half a portion only. Filling was plenty and not dry at all , despite being croaker. Soft fishy touch. Great. We also shared the local specialty risotto amarone (red wine) , very good too. And closed up with homemade tiramisu (as usual). 10/10

We ate twice at this restaurant while visiting Verona, once for dinner and another time for lunch. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very traditional, one can definitely see that it has a long history.

Trattoria Pane e Vino is a Veronese classic grill-meat and pasta restaurant that offers regional dishes made with local ingredients. The restaurant is known for its risotto all'amarone specialty.
Arguably the best restaurant in Verona. The food is exquisite, and the service is absolutely top-notch. A vast selection of local wines, too.

Restaurant is nice, looks like you can get friendly service as well, but not us. Our server - young curly guy with glasses, made it worse. Never around, no attention to us, always we needed to wave and look for it, no knowledge about the food or wine, no normal answers from him or suggestions. Even he forgot to bring appetizers to us. When we mention this, no apologies, no sorry. I understand, that he probably has no experience, but come on, little bit common sence or training should be given before his start. Lasagne seemed to be too dry, gnocchi was really delicious, bigoli was very simple.

Cozy and posh place. Food a bit pricey but it's good high quality food. They change menu based on the season. Very nice and attentive staffs. They also were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. And again good quality food.

Such a great restaurant! The quality of the dishes was absolutely outstanding, as well as the magnificent service. So lucky to have experienced risotto all’amarone at this trattoria.

Excellent meal, home cooked traditional local food, home made pasta (not awful bought in pasta you sometimes get for tourists) , beautifully presented. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Fantastic wine list (from a knowledgeable wine person) cannot fault food or staff, cosy, rustic setting, slightly off the beaten path but highly recommended if you are in Verona centre Must visit! And reasonable prices too. One of our company said it was best meal she’s had in ages and she’s vegetarian. Thank you all!

We had lunch. 8 people. The chef has served us the prociutto, and 5 different typed of crudo. People were licking yheir fingers. We also had a plate of cheese and the rried polenta with pike. Yum. We had the spaghetti with gamberi. Delicious. Al dente. The suave white was perfect and not pricey. The only setback was the bread. This level of food should deserve its own made bread.

Loved it there. Visited 3 times and each time it was an occasion. The best gnocchi I've ever tasted. Really.

Wine, sausage, pasta with duck sauce, and excellent dessert... You cannot go wrong. Awesome staff with a team that brought great recommendations and let us stay late. I'd say, you'll not be disappointed one bit - it's private while having a perfect price.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we couldn’t be happier. The food was outstanding and the servers were friendly and helpful. We asked for wine suggestions for each course and they were a perfect fit. Meat and cheese plates were sliced freshly in the dining room.

What a fantastic restaurant. The best meal we had in Verona on our week visit. The restaurant is lovely: extremely peaceful, tranquil but also at the same time a lovely ambience and atmosphere. The waiters were fine - a bit of a non event - the main star was the owner. He described the food on the plate when serving and was just great. Food was delicious. We had steaks and Tiramasu. Both just fantastic. The steak tenderloin was cooked in a lovely wine sauce - the dish was perfect apart from the meat stick (not my favourite). My dish was the oven baked and sliced steak. Now that was exceptional - melted in my mouth. Roasted vegetables as a side was fantastic and the homemade Tiramasu is the best we have ever had. When we get the chance to come back to Verona again, this is the first place, let alone restaurant, we will be going too.

Amazing food and a great location only few steps away from touristic path. We enjoyed the arrancini as a starter, followed by two types of pasta (gnocchi with cheese and truffle & bigoli with pesto) and a dessert plate. Highly recommended!

Overall, fantastic experience in the heart of Verona. This hidden gem addresses all the different aspects needed to have a great dining experience in Italy. 👨🏽‍🍳The restaurant has an intimate and cozy atmosphere with great music softly in the background. 🎖The staff are very attentive and helpful. We were lucky to get Martina as our waitress. She was friendly from the moment we walked in and managed to elevate the experience with her excellent service. 🍝The food was delicious. Highly recommend the duck or sardine pasta. Overall very complete menu and great house wine. And good value overall. Overall a must stop when visiting Verona!

Review: excellent a la carte with good food presentation and a motivated team. Compliments to the chef. Food: The guinea fowl was tender and the Amarone sauce matched perfectly. The Bigoli with the 3 meat type sauce was very harmonious. Attention to detail has been paid to the bread choice with several bread choices. Service: great service offered and detailed explanation and recommendations were given for food.

Good food. Not as good value as other equally good places in Verona. But deducted one star as was surprised that a second different wine was poured on top of the first glass - which I had not finished. Surely this is basic wine service world wide ??! Expected better, given the overall ‘pitch’ of the place.

Cozy romantic restaurant with incredible staff and great wine. Food was fantastic but one of the courses we asked for a medium steak and it came out very rare but the staff were nice about sorting it out. The guinea fowl dish was delicious.

This place is magical! We drove uphill for a while in the dark and didn't expect to see a restaurant in this caliber. The space is grant and so very beautiful both indoor and outdoor. The foods are very well made with creativity and taste in mind. Wine menu is as thick as a bible. Service staff is very friendly. Will visit again!

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. I take my hat off to the cooks who presented us with culinary taste explosions! The wine cellar is a dream for wine enthusiasts. We celebrated New Year‘s Eve 2023 here with the family and enjoyed every moment.

I really think that the food is very good here BUT I didn't get the chance to try it. We went there to ask if they have a table for two and they just stared at us saying nothing. Asking again they say no and looked away. I understand to say no if there are reservations of the place is full (they said nothing about the EMPTY tables around being reserved). My guess is that we were not seen as "good" customers becaude we weren't dressed fancy. I think that the service should matter at a restaurant so that is why I leave this review..for awful client service

If you want to enjoy some more elaborate food, come here. The dishes and their presentation are amazing. Biggest surprise was their dessert though - the tree of life was an explosion of flavors.

Didn’t have a good experience. Didn’t like the food - most of it wasn’t fresh and seasonal as advertised. Actually seamed like a lot of it was pre-made and didn’t taste like much although had a fancy presentation. They also served me bacon on a vegetarian menu. Some of the glasses had a foul smell.
