Mont Blanc, the tallest peak in the French Alps, is a popular destination in both summer and winter. With skiing and snowboarding opportunities being the most popular attraction, visitors can fully immerse themselves in one of Europe's most beautiful natural wonders. The mountain is surrounded by charming wooden chalets and mountain lodges alike, making it easy to fully enjoy its majestic views.
It was amazing, I will never forget this experience, It was a haven in Earth 🌎. I love that place so so so much ♥ ❤ 💖. Definitely I will go there another time if I get the chance.

One of the most beautiful places on mother Earth. Took a cable car from Chamonix to the top Auigile du Midi and had the most stunning and breathtaking view. Can imagine how much more surreal it is in winter time. Strongly recommended to wear a lot of sunscreen at the top and sunglasses. Worth every penny and hopefully I'll be coming back soon.

Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps, offers breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences. When planning your visit, consider using the multi pass to access various attractions and activities. Arriving early is key to avoiding long queues and ensuring a more enjoyable experience. Additionally, don't forget to protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen and appropriate clothing to prevent sunburn.

The Mont Blanc massif is popular for outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, trail running and winter sports like skiing, and snowboarding. The most popular climbing route to the summit of Mont Blanc is the Goûter Route, which typically takes two days. The three towns and their communes which surround Mont Blanc are Courmayeur in Aosta Valley, Italy; and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, France. The latter town was the site of the first Winter Olympics. A cable car ascends and crosses the mountain range from Courmayeur to Chamonix, through the Col du Géant.

So amazing. Thought €60 was abit expensive but totally worth it when your up there!!

Beautiful and breathtaking, a must for anyone who visits, and we only visited Aiguille de Midi level as the top was closed due to severe wind. Leaves more for us to visit next time! Cable car is large and quite quick up/down the mountain, great views! My advice is to check weather conditions and dress warm and wear proper footwear as it can be quite cold and slippery in certain areas up there.

Very beautiful place❣ The best i ever went. I recomanded for everyone who want few days of peace.

Despite cloud cover, sunny spots made it worth the rather pricy gondola ride, but I suppose it was Chamonix so was to be expected. Box ticking adventure.

One of the best mountain in Europe to enjoy, it has a nice view and people are going to ski in the neighboring areas. The mountain Mont Blanc can be viewed from far away from different countries surrounding the albs mountains.

One of the best place that I have ever visited in my life. Magnificently breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc & Alps mountain range … simply beautiful & worth to visit. Can be done through a day trip from Lyon or Geneva. Single cable car ticket cost €75.

Lifetime experience. Love every bit of seconds. Ascending Mont Blanc was my big challenge for me. Don’t watch YT, and think this is easy. You should be prepared for it. Physically and mentally.
Vuk Manic — Google review
It was a solo hike for me via by Gouter route with two nights at Tête Rousse basecamp. Note that it is not crevasse free route! You have to cross several of them on the way, especially just after Goutier hut. Ascent 5:45h, descent about 5:10h. I started the ascent at 2:15 AM and was at the top at 8:00 AM, no major stops. The route is well marked and recognisable even with head light. On the descent I was quite slow and was stoping for some chit chats with others and come back at circa 13:30 PM. Tents has their own matress (just bring sleeping bag). No running water. 1,5l bottled water costs 9€! Trash bins available.

Aiguille du Midi

One of the most iconic mountains in Chamonix, Aiguille du Midi is a great place to take in breathtaking 360-degree views of the French Alps. You can reach the peak by cable car from Chamonix year-round, and it's well worth braving the cold for some incredible views.
Cable car will get you straight to top, where you can see beautiful view of nearby mountains and Mont Blanc, this is a clearly must see sight in Chamonix
Aspector — Google review
Breathtaking views everywhere you look, it’s a unique experience being on this mountain. Highly recommend going beyond the beaten path of the cable car tour and exploring (climbing) if you have the time and physical fitness.
Viktor — Google review
It is worth visiting even though the cable car is expensive and you might get instant altitude sickness. It’s also a great point from which to admire Mont Blanc and it’s glaciers. The views are very impressive. Quite amazing
Sorin Careba — Google review
Before purchasing tickets for Aiguille du Midi, consider these factors: The views are incredible, but if you plan to visit the Panoramic restaurant, booking in advance is essential. Alternatively, there's a coffee shop at the first cable car stop, which doesn't require booking. Keep in mind that the cable car can shake, which might be challenging for those with labyrinthitis or a fear of heights. If you have heart or lung problems, it's advisable to seek advice before going. Dress warmly with gloves, heavy clothing, and a hat, as it can be very cold. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen to protect your skin from the cold.
Sue Real — Google review
Go in summer season. I stayed 4 days and due to strong wind the cable car didn’t run for 3 days. Only at the last day I could catch but only to see 2 hrs of nothing but white clouds. I could finally have a 15mins window of something, but could be much better in summer. When there’s less wind and snow or rain

Reading the negative reviews you gotta laugh. They are about as helpful as complaining about lack of oxygen at the top. Anyways. It’s a great experience. We thought it a little expensive at 69 euros but afterwards felt it was worth it. Def check it out.

Breath taking view of the Mount Blanc. Very beautiful. Unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't take the telepherique to go Aiguille de midi.
Amal Lallmahomed — Google review
Stunning and truly magical landscapes everywhere you look. Many people have pointed this out throughout all reviews here. And again, the price per ticket to the highest point is 74,- €. Expensive, but worth it for once.

Visiting Aiguille du Midi was an awe-inspiring experience that left us utterly amazed. This architectural marvel is a true testament to modern technology, offering a breathtaking feast for the senses. The towering height at which it's built is a feat that immediately captures your attention, and its proximity to Mont Blanc adds an extra layer of grandeur. The journey to the top was just as remarkable as the destination. The two cabins that take you up are a fun and exciting part of the adventure, enhancing the overall experience. Despite the cloudy weather on the day of our visit, the panoramic views from Aiguille du Midi were still utterly breathtaking. The way the clouds enveloped the mountains added a touch of mystique to the scene. One of the most delightful surprises was the restaurant at the top. Not only does it offer a variety of delicious food options, but the quality was also impressive, considering the altitude. The assortment of beverages available was also a nice touch, allowing us to unwind while taking in the stunning vistas. A small detail that stood out was the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the toilets. Even at such a high altitude and remote location, they were impeccably maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant experience. What added to the charm of our visit was the fact that it wasn't very crowded. We could truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings without feeling rushed or crowded by tourists.

Beautiful cable car experience! We bought our tickets for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday. It was incredible. Just be warned it is quite hard to breathe at the top level. Not so much outside, but inside the buildings it was difficult to catch our breath. Stunning glacier views. There is moderate hiking trails at the lower level, as well as a outside bar and cafe. Truly an unforgettable time!

White Wonder !!! Life time experience... Aiguille du Midi is a must see !! Took a thought bus from Geneva and reached the base of Aiguille... It was an amazing bus ride. From there took stage 1 cable car to station 1 and from there 2nd cable car to station to and then a lift takes us atop of the mountain !!! What an experience.... These spots are for Skiing points... It has all facilities necessary... Toilets to restaurants guides... Wonderful!!!

This ride up to the summit is an incredible, unforgettable experience. I went in April as a family of 4 with kids aged 10 & 8 and we loved it all - especially the Pipe and Step into the Void glass box which was awesome even in the cloud and snow, so doing it on a clear day would be even more amazing. It wasn’t a busy day so we enjoyed no waiting times and plenty of space to look around the different features of the experience - the tunnel and the 360 platforms were a massive highlight. The views are breathtaking and it’s so peaceful to be so high into the mountains. The experience is so well thought out with tonnes of different sections, views and exhibits. We stopped at the Plan d l’Aiguille Terrasse at 2317m the first stop point in the cable car journey on the way up to acclimatise and take in the views at that height before continuing on up and taking the second car up to the Piton Nord summit. My youngest did suffer with the altitude after being at the very top for nearly an hour so it’s worth considering not spending too long up there with kids and to pay attention to how you’re feeling as it can come on suddenly. We ordered croque toasties and a hot dog in the cafeteria which were good, but pricey, so take a picnic up with you if you want to limit the cost of the trip. Overall, given everything you see and how mind blowing it all is to experience in a few hours, the price of the ticket is more than worth it. The journey back down is just as much of a thrill as you look back up to the summit and question whether you were really all the way up there in the clouds - my favourite part on the way up and back were the three sections in the cabling where the car passed through a joining bit and did an unexpected bump and tipped a bit before speeding up an whooshing faster and everyone when woahhh in unison. The whole day was an unforgettable rush!

Just Amazing!!! The Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass includes access and the lift up which is better than paying separately. It also includes train and entrance to Mer de Glacé. Doing both in one day with lunch in between is a great way to spend one of your days in Chamonix.
HowCoolRolls — Google review
Absolutely worth the ticket price to get up high and see the Chamonix valley and the unique Alpine vistas. It will be cold at any time of year (even mid summer) so wrap up warm and enjoy. Climbers with the appropriate gear can step out onto the ridges and explore.

The view was amazing! We really loved it there, very informative as well. The ticket is quite expensive but it’s a one time experience where you can see Mont Blanc and many other peaks so clear including Matterhorn.

The place is magnificent! The cable car ride by itself is already an attraction! It is quite unbelievable the engineering efforts to construct it, and the ride to the top of Aiguille du Midi is thrilling! The view is amazing and it is a must! The price per person is not the cheapest one, but when you remember the unique experience, the cable car and the infrastructure, it becomes worth it.

Excellent program, buy tickets online (if possible) or go there early. It is a privilege to visit this incredible facility, check weather forecast before you decide to go. You will have time to do sightseeing in Chamonix between buying your tickets and getting into your cabine.

This place is, quite literally, breathtaking. If the views don't take your breath away, the altitude certainly will! Jaw dropping views of the highest peaks in Western Europe in the Massif range. One of the most memorable experiences of my life.

What a wonderful place ! Worth the tour even if the lift price is … too expensive ! I really recommend to take a Mont Blanc Unlimited pass to have other tours and activities as the price is almost the same than Aiguille du midi ! You may feel a bit « sick » when you arrive but don’t panic, you will just need time to feel better To have access to the platform View point, you will have to wait 30min to take beautiful pictures Wear warm and hot clothes ! The temperatures are super cold You even have a small cinéma to watch the story of High peaks ! Enjoy !

We took a cable car from Chamonix to Aiguille du Midi and, as our guide said, it was spectacular. Absolutely wonderful views (we were lucky as it was very sunny weather). I was able to see Mont Blanc and take some great pictures from the 'window'. We were advised that oxygen would be 40% lower, so we took it easy on the stairs and tried to take deep breaths. I would recommend taking some sunscreen as it is very bright. I was disappointed with the staff and their attitude - especially the guy who was responsible for letting people in by cable train (very rude, not helpful at all when we needed some support). Similar story with the lady who was taking pictures in the window. There is no need to be rude to people as they only want nice holiday pictures. They should take some customer service course or pretend to be happy. Apart from that, I would recommend going to the top as it is worth experiencing.
Karol Zyga — Google review
Oh, the views . . . But be careful if you are planning to buy tickets in advance as you might not be able to go up. When we arrived, they were not letting people up due to poor weather conditions, but after a couple of hours' wait, they opened up. Although it was a bit cloudy when up there, I was happy with the views. Be mindful of difficulty to breathe as well as walk when up there, literally breathtaking ✨️ 😊

Book online for ease of getting ticket. The gondolas can be quite busy so be prepared for crowds. Once you’re up there it’s amazing. Really enjoyed it

Nice views and short descriptions about skiing, climping etc. If you gonna ski down or go to the restaurant it’s worth to visit. But I would not pay 75e for just visit and go down.

White Lake Lac Blanc is a beautiful and popular destination for hikers, especially in the summertime. It's located in the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve, and offers stunning views of the Mont Blanc Massif. Despite its popularity, the trail is well-marked and easy to follow.
Probably the most popular hike in Chamonix, because it's very easy and very beautiful. If you start the hike from the Index arrival point elevation gain is less than 100m. As a result there is always a lot of people. Try to start as early as possible to avoid the worst crowds and better light for pictures. Swimming in the lake is strictly forbidden!
Gleb — Google review
The view was just "OK" Overcrowded by tourists Cheserys lake is much better, has much less people and is 30 minutes away by hiking. On top of that, you can't camp around lac blanc, nor fly a drone, while you can do that at Cheserys
TnK — Google review
Don't be afraid from November when planning to climb Lac Blanc. It's not green and the lake is frozen but climbing with snow around you is much better! 1 advice: take tea or coffee with you because the restaurant at the top is closed in November. 2 advice: snow poles are a must! Rent one at one of the stores
Elad Bachar — Google review
Natural splendor worth of visiting. We took the cable car to La Flégère then the 2 hours ascending trail to Lac Blanc. We opted for a loop by Lac Chéserys then back to LA Flégère. This trail back is more strenuous than the popular path to/from Lac Blanc.
Horia Banciu — Google review
Insane views over Mont Blanc (definitely my fav along the TMB) but also insane crowds. Try to camp here for the sunrise (pitching a tent for the night is tolerated between 7pm-9am if you hike 20 mins further down to Lac de Cheserys) or get ready for way too many people. There is a nice shelter with kind folks but very expensive beer.
Aron Toth — Google review
awesome hike from the Flegere lift to Lac blanc. beautiful views over mont blanc.. make sure to hike on a sunny day and remember it takes about 2 hours to walk back down to the lift.
Pauline Ydn — Google review
Beautiful lake, best enjoyed in sunny conditions with minimal wind for a glassy surface reflecting the mountain ranges. We did this on our last day of the TMB trek instead of going straight to Flegere and it was worth it, despite hiking up in a thunderstorm!
Zoe Wang — Google review
A fantastic 3.5 hour hike (going to Lake from the top of the ski lift, and back to the gondola), be careful that on the return it will get steep downgrade and the path is basically broken stones. It can be stressful. On the way you will see spectacular views of the mountains and atleast five Glaciers. The lake itself is deep aqua blue, be sure to go to the one on the vack and climb up for the best views.
Mini Rag — Google review
Breathtaking views of lake blanc and Alpes specially on a nice and sunny day. The hike till there is a bit steep for non regulars but doesnt take more than 2hrs from Flegere cable midstation after taking myltiple breaks and enjoying the views.
Hem Shah — Google review
Great hike after taking the cable car La Flegere up to the Lac Blanc, about 2h with 550m elevation. Spectacular views of glaciers, Mont Blanc and Aiguilles Rouges. If you have time, take advantage of going back via Lac de Cheserys (quite steep but going down) to enjoy another route on your way back. Appreciated the efforts on waste and recycling, everyone does its part, great to see!
Matt Nobelen — Google review
Beautiful hike up from the bus stop Montroc, but easy enough for the whole family (or you can take a lift). Keep an eye out for the ibex, who will sit right in the middle of the trail! Some people like to jump into the lake for a swim, even with ice chunks floating in it, but I chose to hike further up into the rocks instead.

The staff are known for their exceptional politeness and happiness, adding to the overall positive experience.

Intermediate ski slopes in Chamonix. South facing so better to ski in the morning and up high in the afternoon. I personally preferred this area to connecting area of Brevant.

hiking and cable car itself are great! but it's very confusing on the website so that we duplicated the purchase - you have the normal cable car ticket and a day pass called "cham summer", of which the website describes like a pass for hiking with dynamic pricing but it's for all cable cars on the north of the valley. it's actually a good deal if you manage to get it less than 20 eur. be there early, or you have to park further.

All south facing slopes. Something for everyone. La Combe slope is exiting for technical skiing but there are also some greens. Very modern cabin lift from the valey to the ski area.

The Bossons Glacier, a magnificent natural wonder, can be reached by hiking or taking a chairlift to a chalet restaurant. The glacier is of immense size and presents an impressive sight, however it is disheartening to witness the rapid pace at which it is melting. A two hour trek from the base will take you to this spectacular glacier which is definitely worth visiting for its awe-inspiring beauty.
Took the ski lift at bossons and ended up at the cute refuge, and the start of the TMB la jonction path! Don’t attempt this path on a foggy day or if you’re not prepared!!! When I got up to the start, it was too foggy to undergo the hike, but there was a quick 10min path to the left behind the refuge where you get to learn a little bit about history, see a photo time lapse board showing the glacier retreat and gets you to a view point for the glacier itself. Definitely worth it to come by and check it out!

The Le Clos Des Sens hotel in Annecy is an exquisite place to stay for a romantic getaway. The restaurant, run by Michelin-starred chef Laurent Petit, offers exquisite cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. A freshwater andvegetarian menu with for example: a trout confit, autumn soup of duckling from the Lake Annecy or saddle of wild boar cooked with autumn vegetables.
Super! Birthday lunch with the family - kids and all! They were very accommodating for the four of us, two kids, and an infant. Surprised by some new flavors and interpretations, and enjoyed the delicious tasting menu. Mushroom dish was the favorite all around. Great service and friendly staff.

We had a memorable family dinner at the restaurant. Cuisine is focusing on vegetables and local fishes and shellfish. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and the food. It is modern, creative and tasty. Their wine selection is awesome and very decently priced for once ! I would like to come again.

Splendid, splendid, splendid!!! best 3 Michelin Star I have been too. Welcome and friendliness of the staff. Definitively a place to go...and to comeback!!
Bertrand Revel212 — Google review
It was genuinely astonishing to witness the culinary creations that emerged from the neighboring garden and region. While our personal taste leans towards food featuring more meat, fish, and seafood, the dining experience remained captivating and unquestionably deserves 3 Michelin stars. I'm deducting two stars due to inconsistencies in the service; for instance, a young lady served our salad without saying a single word. We don't require a detailed dish description—just a simple "bon appétit" would suffice :-). On the whole, the service often fell short of the standards expected in a three-Michelin-star restaurant.
Lukasz Pater — Google review
Fine dining doesn't get much better than this. Outstanding food & well selected accompanying wines if you choose. Choice of 5, 8 or 10 course menu (small portions). Menu is fish & vegetarian concentrating on local produce. Holder of 2 Michelin stars & I suspect we'll on the way to the third so now is a good time to get in before it receives them. Outstanding quality of service makes it an epic experience. Highly recommended. UPDATE: 3 Michelin Stars just awarded, well-deserved.
Paul Beadle — Google review
Worthy of its 3 Michelin stars, dining here is an absolute treat for the senses. Located in the hills above Annecy town, the views from the garden are beautiful. We were warmly welcomed and shown through the garden and premises. Service is professional yet warm & friendly so no stuffiness as everyone was made to feel like a special guest. There was a minimum of 8 servers for approximately 20 guests. We scored the chefs table - right in front of the kitchen and could observe the going ons by the chefs and crew. There are menu options which was fully explained by the manager and decided to go for the full menu - although very filling, we are glad we did as we experienced the full depth of the kitchen’s capabilities. The menu is seafood & vegetables (no meat options) and we came away with a new appreciation of how fish & vegetables can be prepared. All the dishes were exquisite & there were many surprises in terms of taste & flavor combinations. Needless to say, most dishes were works of art & almost seemed a shame to eat! The pace of food flow & how the dishes were curated was flawless. An unforgettable experience, we had a great evening here (be prepared to pay top $$ but worth every cent). Stand out dish was the mushrooms ( truly a work of art) accompanied by a mushroom cappuccino, probably the tastiest mushroom soup I have ever had. Reservations book out fast & we were so fortunate to get a spot due to a cancellation. So put your name on the waiting list even though it is full & keep calling the restaurant - you never know your luck! We were given a little gift to take back (a light bread/cake?) & perhaps because we had it the next day - it was dry & rather lacklustre compared to our meal. Some chocolates would have been better appreciated! 😁

Lara A — Google review
This handsome abode in the upper reaches of Annecy is the haunt of chef Franck Derouet and his associate Thomas Lorival. Together they craft a culinary universe whose veggie and lake-focused slant is clearly motivated by a locavore philosophy and all the ingredients come from their own garden or within a 100km radius. Each dish is sprinkled with seasonal fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs, adding a poetic, even an artistic flourish, illustrated by their creamy polenta with pike roe, fera (fish) with garden green curry or a wafer-thin chicory tart. In tune with this seasonal ethos, the chef works with meat, but very sparingly, (for example, during the coarse fish close season), depicted by a game jus drizzled over cardoons (heirloom vegetable). Similarly, the wines all come from local wineries. The duo of chefs is committed to exploring new culinary universes, for example, they offer a “food and jus” pairing of vegetable stocks, broths and herbal teas with the different courses, in addition to wine-food pairings. Their complementary characters and complicity are as apparent in the kitchen as in the dining room, creating a banquet for the senses. 3 stars and gren star michelin "Our cuisine uses plants and produce from the lake and brings out the flavours of our 1 500m2 of vegetable, aromatic and fruit gardens, which are all managed in line with permaculture philosophy. The wealth of produce from local and committed farmers with whom we work also contributes its flavours. Whether by implementing intelligent waste recycling or collecting and reusing rainwater, we strive to bring common sense to the entire life of the restaurant." — Laurent Petit +++

The food is excellent as you would expect from 3 stars but the whole experience was a bit underwhelming. Some of the waiters were not unfriendly but lacked passion for the job, they were polite but you felt they didn't want to talk much when we asked questions. The other point is that it's all local lake fish and vegetables so it gets a bit repetitive because there aren't that many species. Everything was really good but I never had that "wow" moment you normally have at a 3 stars restaurant.
Carl Bengtsson — Google review
Outstanding restaurant! They are worth every single star they have. Such a delicate way of handling and loving herbs... You can clearly see the passion, drive and knowledge - the dishes speak for themselves. We had a wonderful vegetarian menu, and loved every single aspect of our visit. We wish all the 3 star michelin had the same quality and execution like Le Clos Des Sens (many of them do not). Such a pity that Michelin gives 3 stars to some unworthy institutions that don't even understand flavors, thus jeopardising the reputation of others who truly deserve it.

Is there anything left to say about the delicious meal, the charming service, the quietly luxurious duplex room with two full baths? The beautiful canopy tree on the deck? The multi-course breakfast was an unexpected treat and just kept on coming and coming. We wished we could have lingered longer to enjoy the vibe, but we maybe next time.

17th in my 3 stars challenge (all the Parisians are already published, the rest is coming shortly, follow me for the updates) In transition. What’s extraordinary here? It’s a 3 stars, you should expect something extraordinary. Each plate is. Each is really out of the ordinary. Even after having tried every three stars in France (minus one). Of course you should (and you may) know that they’re focusing on vegetables and fishes from the lake nearby. To be more precise, they focus on what’s available around them. This responsible, local and environmental friendly attitude earned them the green star, on top of the 3 stars. Impressive. But just like others, you could eat there and not realize that you had no meat. They make it seamless. Which is a feat in itself. I hope to go there before the previous chef left, but it was already too late. You could feel that they were in transition. The new chef is not that new since he was already working there for a long time. So each plate is extraordinary. In some you may have one voice or another. I guess that soon you’ll just have one voice. But still, there’s a specific tonality that unites them and can be heard in every plate. The crowd was family and couples, but we were there on a Saturday. It does suit both. Ask for the table near the kitchen or the windows depending of the scenery you want. The service was great, but you may want to precise your tempo if you have a constraint. It does deserve its 3 stars. Why does the review stay pending ?

The view is fantastic. The staff started clearing the tables (taking off table cloths) while we were still in the restaurant at about 21h30! The steaks were tough. The snails starter did not have enough flavor. The staff were not paying much attention to us - they were busy chatting to each other around the bar…

Good was terrible. Meat like wheel’s tyre. Salmon just from shop being packed and conserved. Bread old. Toilets are terrible. This is the works restaurant that I visited in city. But surprisingly waiters was polite and gentle.

Based on our experience at the restaurant and the spa, I would recommend seeking other establishments. The view is fantastic (directly over the lake), and the building itself is elegant in its ancient beauty, but the food was overall disappointing, and our reservation for 2 massages at the spa got lost, the staff apologized, but 50 minutes went by between the moment when we arrived at the spa and the moment we finally walked out, still waiting for the towels that were supposed to have been brought to us so that we could at least enjoy the facility (massages were rebooked for a later date). The staff was clearly stressed about a wedding they were hosting that day, and the stress was palpable for the guests. I think we will cancel the rebooked massages : the facility seemed small, and overall disappointing for a 4-star establishment.

It is really all about the location. Without the waterfront access it would be a fairly standard hotel. Nonetheless the pontoon directly on the lake is amazing. Our room looked like it was recently renovated but the friends we travelled with had a much smaller, dated room. The spa is small. Staff at the reception was OK. The breakfast was overpriced and the hotel restaurant was closed several evenings. The young guy serving at the outdoor bar was outstanding.

About the hotel : Authentic , well preserved and charming. You Aube the impression of traveling back in time. The rooms are tiny . About the restaurant : The terrasse of restaurant is absolutely magnificent whether you are having breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is of great value and has an excellent choice of wines (bonus: reasonable wine prices). The sommelier (master of Porto) is amazing . Friendly The only « negative » is the setting inside the restaurant, it lacks space and some intimacy. There are only a few tables that are in front of the window which I can recommend - the rest of them are just not well positioned (Stayed there for a few nights in July 2022)

A picturesque and historic 'Abbaye' on the lake of Annecy, gets 100% on location, location, location, but also they looked after us all extremely well. The food, service and accommodation are all top notch and our three nights there were wonderful in every respect. Thank you all so much! PS It was our son's wedding and it couldn't have been a more perfect occasion in the most magical and enchanting hotel.

Sep 23 A real place of contrasts. On the one hand an idyllic location and on the spot lake swimming. Wonderful. On the other hand a place with only one rather poor coffee machine for a (quite costly) breakfast is not really trying hard enough. The real problem is it's rather poor on the access for persons with mobility issues. A similar standing of hotel in the UK with similar listed status would do a lot better. Taken together, enjoyed our stay here but we won't be coming back.

The most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Came here for a few days on our honeymoon and we fell in love. The staff were awesome, the views couldn’t be beat, and the hotel had so much history. We will be back very soon! The town is also very charming and located near many things, I would recommend making reservations for dinner. We came in the off season and it was really hard to get dinner due to things being fully booked

Merci Merci Merci! One of our first overseas trips with our 6 month old and Abbaye de Talloires did not disappoint. The staff were extremely accommodating and understanding - they provided a cot and high chair. We loved spending the day on the lake enjoying the sunshine, water and views. In the evening we ate incredible food and delicious wine at the hotel - it was from a fairytale. Specially Sebastian was very helpful as we had to amend our dates. Thank you for the hospitality! Until next time.

Spent a very relaxing weekend at the Abbaye de Talloires, a short drive from Annecy. Very attentive service and friendly staff. A perfect place to rest and unplug, enjoy the Abbaye’s great facilities, gardens and take a dip in the lake, all within a very cosy and exclusive atmosphere. The restaurant facilities on location are very good, but the Abbaye is also close to a number of fine dinning establishments in the area. Well worth the stay.

Restaurant
Brasserie Irma - Bocuse is a restaurant with a prime location offering a beautiful lake view and a spacious terrace. While the food may not be as exceptional as other top recommendations, it still promises an elegant and relaxed dining experience. The restaurant pays homage to Paul Bocuse's family history in Annecy, where his mother, Irma, grew up. Visitors can expect delicious fresh fish from the lake during the summer months.
Wow! On the shores of the lake, great food! Quality, good wine, so what needs more than that? All types of brasserie style dishes

Did you know that the mother of the famous chef Paul Bocuse in Lyon is actually from Annecy ? Well, good food runs in the family so be sure to reserve your table at this brasserie which serves up delicious fresh fish from the lake in the Summer.

No English menu, one of the staff members wasn’t friendly! They speak only French and if u don’t it’s ur problem to understand the menu! Food is average, pasta is really really BAD!

Was very excited to visit this place - but the service was so terrible. Food was good but not worth spending all the money for rude and unenthusiastic staff. Despite their menu saying their chef will cater for allergens - this was very much not the case. They were incredibly UNhelpful.. we had a vegan and a lactose/wheat free in the group and the staff were very unaccommodating. Would not recommend. 🙅🏻‍♀️
Charlotte Wise — Google review
Not bad but I was expecting better! The service was not very good, some waiters are not very friendly nor efficient and they allow smoking in the terrasse which is a shame to have the tobacco smell when you try to enjoy food from an "étoilé"

the servers are rude, aggressive and competent. Average food and not up to par with a Bocuse brasserie. He must turn over in his grave the poor man. frankly pathetic. the toilets are dirty!

Decent food, excellent service. Only 3 stars because of the disconnect between food sophistication (Ok-ish) and price (too high for that kind of food). Bocuse is a famous name in France, but they're not really living up to it and instead try to monetize the name.
Emmanuel Mogenet — Google review
Food was ok but the service was terrible. Our waitress did not speak any English and was very rude towards everyone at our table. Would recommend trying the gelato trio for dessert.
Arsalan E — Google review
Amazing restaurant. Very very tasty food. The fish was... I can't even think about correct word to express it's tasty, totally wonderful. And bread, and wine, adn dessert. Everything is amazing! But be ready to order the table in advance, because maybe you won't find the place, when you come. A little bit unusual atmosphere for me, I'm not used to such restaurants, but it was worth it. And I've tried ousters outside the restaurant. Really appreciate the guy, who presented it to me.
Svitlana Olenets — Google review
It is simply overpriced, food is nothing special, the place is just pretentious. The wine that we ordered was clearly watered down. However, after complaining it was replaced free of charge. We also had to wait 1,5 hours until the food was served. Not recommended, there are many much better restaurants in Annecy.

What I loved about this place is how cozy it is, it’s a nice place. The food was okay and average. And good service.

My father in law trained and worked for Paul Bocuse. My brother in law was one of his last apprentices. The value of his name on a place like this cannot be underestimated. A modern Bistro on the shores of lake Annecy. A beautiful setting. The set menu is great value. Good quality food. Beautifully cooked steak, but it had been cooked in advance to cope with the volume of customers. So good food. Good enough service, good value, but not exceptional. For the price, I have no complaints whatsoever.

Nice brasserie. Over hyped because of the Bocouse name. Cheerful and the chefs all have the enormous hats. I felt the food was okay. My friends loved it so we had different experiences. I ordered risotto which was very creamy, and not what I'm used to. Could be I ordered wrong.

Amazing hotel with the best views of Lake Annecy. Recently remodeled with spacious rooms/bathrooms and an excellent restaurant. Staff is very friendly and great customer service. Highly recommend.

I paid about 650 euro per night for this room. The room we got was the Villa and it was amazing. The living room doors open to a great view right on lake Annecy. It was 3 bedrooms with 3 beds and a very large bathtub. It has a full kitchen. There is a laundry washer here but no dryer. The dryer racks in the bathroom did not work so we had to move onto our next location with wet clothes. There is a fireplace in the room with no kindling or matches. We had a lighter but we were unable to start a fire. There was no phone to call for room service. The stairway in the villa spiraled and had no light. I almost fell down it a few times. They charge for the minibar items which is ridiculous. The breakfast is 30 dollars per person. We wanted to take food back to room so we could enjoy our patio with lake view. They gave us two small boxs to tame food to go. We got some runny soupy scrambled eggs and two croissants for 60 dollars. The valet driver was super cool and the hotel grounds were amazing as well as the main hotel. Our villa was detached from main hotel. I would recommend this place to others

We are a little bit disappointed as we have booked a dinner and a room separately over a month in advance. We cancelled our booking for the room but not at the restaurant. We expected of course that we still maintain the reservation at the restaurant and we also never received any cancellations for the dinner itself but only for the room. When we arrived there yesterday evening they told us they do not have a reservation and that they are fully booked. They were not flexible enough to offer us another table. However it was nice of them that they found a table for us in an alternative restaurant on a Saturday evening.
Marek Koszuszeck — Google review
We stayed in the spring so perhaps things we off a bit. The hotel is nice enough but it is a bit isolated. The pool is great but a little oddly removed from the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant was quite good, breakfast was a mess of things with inconsistent service. Calling room service or the front desk sometimes never got an answer which was weird. Food options in the hotel were just t the one main restaurant and very light options at the bar, the other advertised things didn't exist as far as we could tell. Next time we will stay in a place with more of a village or town, not busy like the old town of Annecy but still with more in walking distance.
Chris Moore — Google review
World class 5 star experience. This place really exceeds expectations and I would highly recommend if you are visiting Annecy that you stay here. Much nicer experience of the lake than the hotels that are in the city center. The grounds are immaculately kept and the rooms are extremely high quality. Very comfy bed, deep cleaned by room-service, and it is obvious all the finishings are done by professionals with high-quality materials. Service staff was all very friendly and spoke English graciously when we failed with our French. The properly has a private beach and is located in a really nice part of town with a boat rental service right next door.
Matthew White — Google review
I didn’t stay. My flight was cancelled and while I had booked non-refundable, they couldn’t have been more unpleasant when I spoke to them about options, ie trying to rebook for a later date. If their attitude on the phone and on email is in any way representative of their service, you’re guaranteed a condescending tone, arrogance, a total lack of compassion (let alone Christmas spirit), and disinterest in building long-term repeat customers. But hey, maybe you like that sort of thing.
Fiona Anderson Wheeler — Google review
We fell in love with Menthon area, and this hotel is so magical from outside. They have done a great renovation (there are still some minor things that could be changed) and the staff is absolutely top. One minor but important thing that a lot of hotels miss is the overall smell of the hotel - menthon palace smells great! Negatives: -the housekeeping is slow and not at the level of such a hotel. -the restaurant is a bit "old-school" and could be better if they offered more healthy and vegetarian options (especially when it's the only functioning restaurant). -room service is very pricy... like in any other hotel (but here you also get small portions).

Highly recommend! We brought our little puppy with us and they were very accommodating! Also, the room was gorgeous with a beautiful view! My wife and I will definitely come back! Also, the pool and the message was very enjoyable. The staff was also very accommodating and hospitable.
shefts nollinger — Google review
The location is absolutely outstanding and it really feels like a small piece of paradise! However despite the nice building and renovated feel , the service lacks of 5* standards. There is no refinement no extra mile feel so it makes the whole experience alright .. The spa is simply one big pool which is very dissapointing for a “5*” hotel. The rooms were okay but when you book a lac view you only get a small window that overlooks the lac.
Marianne Skaf — Google review
The views are epic. The staff is friendly. The issue i had was the hotel's lack of food options. Also the food options they did have which is the one resturant I felt was overpriced. Lastly they should get a larger set of weights in the gym.

What an incredible hotel! When we arrived it felt a little like pulling onto the set of a Wes Anderson movie, it looks so classically luxurious. Our room was tastefully renovated and felt very spacious. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Annecy area.

We chose the Palace de Menton to celebrate our wedding anniversary as it's such a special place to spend time, even if just for a short break. It feels truly luxurious; the house scent, furnishings, amenities, service and savoir faire. The most wonderful feeling of being cocooned and cared for is somewhat priceless. Can't wait for the next time already!

Terrible food service at the hotel. They couldn't provide a table in the restaurant, the bar menu is very limited, and although the room service menu is wider but you are only allowed to have it in your room. However, they couldn't offer an alternative for dinner in the restaurant.

Really amazing experience during our stay in June. We only stayed for 1 night as a stop on a road trip. Room was excellent and presented well. The hotel has a private area to access the lake and to go for a swim. We didn’t get to experience all of the facilities as we only stayed for 1 night however the steam room was good. The bar was also nice in the evening. The breakfast was decent and had the essentials, however you would expect a more diverse selection for a 5 star hotel.

We passed a week in Mai 2023 in this hotel. The choice was quite easy to make as we were looking for a quite and nice place to relax. Although the price was quite high we thought it to be worth…. Upon arrival we were impressed by the building and by the beautiful area around the lake…the biggest was our disappointment when we entered our room. For the price it’s not worth! Be ready to pay only for the view and calm area and not for the comfort. The room was shabby, the service mediocre. Breakfast was not reach in options… You can feel that the owners do not want to invest. Very sad

The welcoming bottle of champagne and the good chocolates being a wonderful message to us we loved!🥂Bravo 🙏 There are not many hotels in this world with this ambiance, view and good energy. 😍 We found the breakfast could be better and with more choices as it for this level should be, but the french breakfast is eventually different😜we will definitely often come back 🥂💐💃Thank you Mention Palace 👏
