Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Owl of Dijon is a renowned tourist spot where visitors can explore the city and discover 22 different locations. The trail offers various attractions along the way, making it a unique experience that is highly recommended. To reach the famous owl, one must follow metal signs on the ground. According to legend, touching the stone owl while making a wish will grant it. This attraction is located near Notre-Dame Church's exterior and draws many tourists each year.
Excellent architecture, iron-work, sculptures and old buildings. This area of the picturesque Dijon is rich with local history, iconic buildings and some beautiful cobbled alleys leading through narrow walls between cathedrals, rectory and other substantial buildings. Wonderful examples of this period and worth the visit on foot.

Dijon’s Owl's Trail In the very heart of Dijon, you can follow a trail indicated by 22 owls on the cobblestones of pedestrian streets, to discover top places and points of interest of the city.
Alia Fares — Google review
The owl on the pillar is quite small and could be missed so look carefully. Nevertheless, signs with owls are located all along the old town which I thought was cute and a great marketing tool to promote tourism
FS Y — Google review
The Owl Trail is an absolutely ingenious idea for travellers to navigate and learn about the city!! Learned so much and had fun along the way. Great for children and adults alike.
Renée Comeau — Google review
In fact, the idea with the Owl, and the tourist routes where you are accompanied by owl, is simply ingenious. this idea, of course, is also implemented in other cities. But in Dijon, which is a larger than other cities of the region where we were, this is a real help in order not to get lost and see the main sights of the city. Owl itself accompanied us almost everywhere where we were not in this city.
Io Lo — Google review
The Owl trail is a fantastic way to discover Dijon. In addition to the 22 places along the route, there are tons of attractions along the way that you can get lost in. We took almost 2.5 hours to see everything because we kept stopping and wandering. Very unique and highly recommended. Worth the few euros it costs to get the official map or app.
Karan Jain — Google review
Fun place to visit and try to grant your wishes by following the ritual of stroking the owl with your left hand. Love the history and the way the story has spread to other souvenirs in Dijon
Melanie Sharpe — Google review
It is indeed an owl, an overly hyped owl, faceless and about the size of the palm of my hand that is worthy of a lot of praise as it makes way for owles pretty much everywhere in this city, and that is pretty impressive in my book. Long live the owels!
S — Google review
By the time that you get to the now "faceless" owl you will have seen some amazing architecture and sights of Dijon. It's a wonderfully easy way to start a walking tour and, it starts really near the SNCF train station in the park (see photo)

Tour Philippe le Bon

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tour Philippe Le Bon is a 316 step tower located in the home of one of Dijon's most famous museums. The tower once served as the residence of Duke Philippe le Bon and his rich symbols are still visible in the ornate carvings on the spiral stairwell. On a bright day, you can enjoy panoramic views of Dijon city and its suburbs from the top of Tour Philippe Le Bon.
I honestly thought the climb would be harder. I didn’t get winded, and the stairs were wide enough not to have to “grapevine” sideways up and down them. The tour was really inexpensive, as well as informative! And there were a few breaks in the ascent to learn about the tower’s history, and catch your breath if necessary. And the views are incomparable!
K J — Google review
It is the best place to enjoy a panoramic view of Dijon city. It is an unforgettable part of your trip to France. To climb the tower, you need to book a tour, which can be done online or at the tourist information office. After booking on the Internet, I had a problem with my schedule, but after consulting with the tourist information office, they changed the time for my booking kindly. Tours are offered in both French and English. Tour guid explains the history of tower with climbing the tower.
Akira Rikitsu — Google review
Third visit to Dijon and still haven't managed to get up the tower. It would be better if they opened more often and would be helpful if the ticket office was located by the tower door, not further round the town
Helen Hammond — Google review
A beautiful square in the center of Dijon with lots of restaurants and local shops to buy products from this area. During summer it's very busy with tourists but that makes the square a living area. The buildings are having the beautiful French architecture which makes the place a must to visit when you're in Dijon
Erwin N. — Google review
Took the guided tour because it was included in the city pass. The guide spoke English well, and conducted the tour bilingually. The facts she gave seemed meager, and few went beyond facts and numbers off a Wikipedia page. She also didn't seem very interested in taking or answering questions. A good guide with some passion could make it more interesting without a doubt. View from the top was nice.
Bas van Beijsterveldt — Google review
The view is nice, the guided tour is only valuable if you speak french. Otherwise you get a few sentences but not much. The tour guide is not flexible. So if you are more than 2 people make sure to book in advance. We were a group of 7 and 1 of us, saying again 1 of us had to take another tour group.

Museums
The Museum of Fine Arts Dijon, located in the former palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, contains major collections of western art from the 14th-19th century. After a nine-year renovation, the museum has become a work of art itself and is one of France's most outstanding museums. The Salle des Gardes is a notable exhibit featuring ornately carved sepulchres from late medieval times.
Another of the great Musee des Beaux Arts of France, originally established just before the French Revolution. Many magnificent art pieces from antiquity to the modern day. Also houses the tombs of Dukes of Burgundy. The building itself is part of the palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.
Alan Pembshaw — Google review
Nice Museum, very well renovated mixing modern display and traditional aesthetic. Sculptures, paintings, ancient and more modern art will be available for free, it is a very unique initiative from the city of Dijon. Well served with 2 elevators too

The Dukes of Bourgondy took the belfrey clock of Kortrijk and placed it on the Notre Dame at Dijon in order for the 'Jaquemart' to strike each hour of the day. But it wouldnt be the only artifact that the Dukes would take from Flanders. As the power of the Dukes rose, so as well did the cultural richness as they ordered several most reknown artist of the time to excell on their artwork. Although the French revolution destroyed the church where the richness of the Dukes was ment to survive the ages, the tombs survived so we can still witness how Klaus Sluter sculpted the 'plearants' in order to grieve for the Duke and his whife. But there is much more to see than only the medieval art. Certaibly wirthwhile the visit.
Bart Eekhaut — Google review
What a great museum this is and it is free (in the summer). Absolute must see in Dijon.
Pascal Cools — Google review
Superb museum in a historical setting (palace of Burgundian dukes). What can be better? Well, it’s also free (permanent exhibition). The museum is not too big, so your mind can digest it and the collection is really stunning- starting from Middle Ages right to the XX centuries modernism. Amazing to see all those emotions portrayed by the artists- fear, hate, love, compassion. All this go through centuries of art. Sometimes you can feel yourself in the middle of the battle or a tragic mythological scene. I truly enjoyed this museum.
darius savolskis — Google review
Nice museum although the directions to follow for going around the museum were somewhat patchy. Plenty of oil paintings on canvas, a good section on sculpture, covering especially on François Pompon. The other very interesting parts were on the history of Burgundy and its four dukes. Unless I missed it, I was surprised of not seeing anything about Gustave Effeil whom has we know built the Effeil Tower and was born and grew up in Dijon
Frederic Demay — Google review
Free entry but you need to go to the counter to get a little ticket before you cross into the galleries. I think it's just to find out where you come from for research purposes. The owl walk comes through here (see my other post) There's a small but nice green patch out the front if you need a rest.
Sam Millichap — Google review
Beautiful place with loads of art, a wide variety of it, and a bit of history! The Duke and Duchesses tombs are particularly impressive.

This museum is a must-see in Dijon with artwork from as early as the 14th century. It demonstrates the evolution of art from two to three-dimensional art employing more artistic technique & introducing light and depth.
Rick Howard — Google review
Great museum with a lot of different exhibitions and displays, ranging from the history of the building itself to medieval up to 20C art as well as some contemporary exhibits at the very top floor of the museum. Free of charge to view the permanent collection but you have to pay to see the temporary exhibition.
Kristina A — Google review
Cool museum with a huge exhibition of art pieces. Interesting architecture of the space and friendly staff of the museum. If you are visiting Dijon and have some time for museums, I would recommend to visit Musee des Beaux-Arts.
Nick Acorne — Google review
I enjoyed my visit. The artwork is thoughtfully displayed, and there was a surprising number of sculptures. Admission is free to view the permanent collection.

Nice museum with a lot of pictures and sculptures. Especially the pictures of Árpád Szenes and his wife. Free entry.
Attila Szakács — Google review
The entrance is on the side of the large building that was once the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. The collection spans a long period and is not so special. Sometimes you see an item that stands out but most of it you just pass. What is impressive are the tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy which are best seen from a balcony above. The museum is a maze of galleries with stairs and elevators everywhere. Navigation is a bit difficult Entrance is free.
Seimen Burum — Google review
This is an excellent museum, which welcomes visitors and is set in an excellent location full of history in its own right. It is free to enter and being a non French speaker, unlike my wife, I found the English translation at the foot of most labels really helpful. The descriptions and explanations are written in a friendly and informative manner that make you eager to learn more. My favourite discovery was about the 'mourners', a fascinating set of sculptures that accompany the tombs of Philip the bold and John the fearless. I was therefore excited to find miniatures of the mourners in the excellent gift shop, one of which now adorns my shelf at home. I can thoroughly recommend this as a must see venue.
David Tapper — Google review
Amazing museum in an amazing city. The museum is objectively small, only three floors, but what a chic and amazing exposition. I'm not talking about the fact that the entrance is free. This is absolutely and very important for all visitors, especially for those who go with the whole family and who want to join the works of art. And of course many thanks for this to the city. Where I was, I have not seen this anywhere else, it is unique, many thanks to the city for this ones more. Exposition from ancient times to the present day, very good logistics of rooms, very good arrangement of paintings, spacious halls - all this in general is conducive to a calm viewing of the collection. 100% recommendation!
Io Lo — Google review
Its free, has amazing architecture to look at and some outstanding art as well. Just for the ceilings in some rooms it is worth a visit though. Go to the top floor and onto the balcony of the dukes to look at the coffins.

Museums
The Museum of Burgundian Life is situated in a 17th-century Cistercian convent and offers a glimpse into the past life of villages and towns in Burgundy through an exhibition of costumes, artifacts, traditional crafts and customs. The museum is well-structured with evocative tableaux that provide insight into the region's domestic life and history. However, the lack of English captions or alternative guides makes it difficult for non-French speaking visitors to fully appreciate the exhibits.
Musée à pas rater ! If you're visiting Dijon, make sure you visit this museum of ethnography to understand this historical city's past.

A fantastic museum of the history of the city of Dijon, a wonderful collection of memorabilia, period costumes, home life displays, posters, furniture, tools, kitchen equipment, trains, photography and the history of local biscuit and sweets making.. this is a terrific gallery, rich with the small things that shaped the culture, personality, people and vibe of this great city.. A great exhibition, a memorable experience. Please make time for this visit. 1 hour. Entree is free.

Very Nice place to see how the old times were in France. But a little bit difficult to find the Way around in the museum. Free entrance.
Oliver Nash — Google review
It seems like an interesting museum but there weren't any English captions or alternative guides so it's only accessible if you speak French. I gave five stars anyway because it seemed well laid out with a wide variety of interesting things, I just couldn't get the full experience, but I can't really complain about a museum about French history in France being in French, and it was free entry.
Ivy Antunes — Google review
Excellent museum in Dijon. You need around 1h to quickly see all the exhibits. The exhibits are really beautiful and the highlight is the re-enactment of old stores of the city with authentic design and materials We were disappointed by the lack of English descriptions for the exhibits. We visited over a weekday and it was not so crowded. Short walk from the city center.

An interesting museum about the life in Burgundy. The ground floor features different traditional clothing styles, working tools, and cooking utensils. The upstairs exhibit shows several old-style shops (pharmacy, hat maker, clock maker, barber, etc), which give a interesting impression of that Era. Most descriptions are only in French. Worth a visit! Entry is free!

Another free miseum that dijon offers to the public. It's lovely made, with lots of details and effort. Bit i felt it's more for the locals. Everything is on french, still interessting to look but not to really unterstand. In the second floor is a childern area.

A very interesting museum in Dijon showing life in the region through time. Unfortunately all information on the items shown were only in French. However this shouldn't be a show stopper. And by the way: the entrance is free
Emmanuel (Haribomann) — Google review
A quirky and eclectic collection of art, artefacts, and re-creations of life in Burgundy throughout the centuries. Some of the displays are hard to follow if you don't read French, but the staff seemed more than happy to explain. My personal highlights were the replica shops and businesses, which have clearly had a lot of love put into them. The mannequin room was genuinely terrifying though
Max Cartwright — Google review
The ground floor has a bunch of very odd dolls and mannequins. If you can get past that part and make it up the stairs, then the museum changes drastically with fake store fronts and small exhibits that are genuinely interesting. The text is all in French and is written in cursive. I found that I could reliably translate many of the panels into English with the Google translate app.
Curtis Simmons — Google review
Great museum of everyday life in Dijon. The displays cover everything from the procedures of making butter to wartime stories and some works by local artists. A lot of the information is in French and the downstairs captions are beautifully written by hand, though this may prove challenging to read. I would have loved to have seen some of the information accessible in different formats, such as video or audio. It’s a good stop if you have a bit more than an hour - it is also for free.
Kristina A — Google review
Fun afternoon to see period costumes and the everyday life of a resident It would have been more enjoyable with air conditioning. This is great for kids to learn how life was back then. Some of, most of, the mannequins are a little scary but it works.

This old stone building offers complimentary WiFi and a rustic restaurant. It is a great place to enjoy gastronomic experiences from several decades. You will find emblematic dishes like the famous yellow poultry with mushrooms here. This double etoilee restaurant receives top marks from all levels of gourmets. In the heart of Arbois, the capital of Jura wines, you'll find an excellent double etoilee that deserves attention from all foodies.
Only ate at the hotel. Great food, fresh ingredients from the region, the artistry in the ceramics really added to it. Our waiter (forget his name, originally from Afghanistan) and the sommelier were amazing.
niall Waters — Google review
Food was fantastic, wines delicious and the atmosphere elegant and quiet. However the service was really far from the Michelin standards (dishes not presented, wines too casually explained, a lot of waiting… they really need to work on the processes in the main room because a lot of staff walk around the guests with no purpose and the end result is a poor quality of service).
Nathaelle Davoust — Google review
Sub Standard french fine dinning food, anodyne aperitives, boring cucumber salad, a skate destroyed just to modernize the dish, sad meat main dish ( at least here it was cooked properly) Worst sommelier ever at this level ( long waits to order (dishes arriving before the wines) had to serve myself the whole lunch, when he did the first time didn’t even poured the wine correctly), cheese dish as with the skate destroying a nice product just for the sake of it. boring sweet dessert too. Probably would just recommend it for it’s wine list
marc g — Google review
Single dishes from the menu were good and original, even if many ingredients and preparations are used in more than one course. Service was ok but expect incredibly long times between courses. 4 hours and half for the 4 plates + cheese and dessert menu is definitely too much. Wine list is correct, apart from the fact that seems to exist also a 'vip' wine list from which we were not allowed to pick.
Paolo Calvi — Google review
Nice restaurant located in the middle of Jura wine region in Arbois. Just been there for the two michelin star restaurant : very nice experience. Classical style with a lot of combinations in the plate. The chef aims to make the link with the past and the two former Jeunet chefs and offers some dishes with deep regional roots as well with some good seafood. The menu 8 pêchés is really big and you are not hungry anymore at the end. Nice asparagus starter, the foie gras with fenouil was really good. I enjoyed the lamb and before one made with some snails and radish. Dessert on rhubarb and sage was great as well. With that was served a very nice white wine from the region. Service is very kind. A nice place.
Philippe Louchet — Google review
This review is for the restaurant. This was supposed to be our top dining experience for our yearly wine-trip, this time in the Jura region. Sadly this two-star restaurant left us feeling quite disappointed. With two stars there are certain things one expects, waiting almost ten minutes for aperitifs are not one of those things, particularly when the restaurant isn't even half-full! The food was not worth a detour being only "good" and not excellent. It was rather boring and uninspiring to be honest and with a couple of overcooked dishes (my John Dory and the veal sweetbread). Nothing else was bad, but nothing was excellent and I really do expect excellence for that price. A saving grace, and the only thing turning this visit from a terrible visit to merely an okay experience, was our sommelier. He was given free choice of wine for each course (we were enough people to share a bottle for each course) and really saved the night! The combinations of some of the wines with some of the courses were excellent and it would have been divine if only the food could live up to the wine! Jura is an interesting area with its many great wines and well worth the visit, but unless you like throwing away money on sub-par experiences spend your money at one of several other good restaurants in the area!
Håkon Eriksen — Google review
This restaurant has sharp practice around springing pricy wines in its suggestions that completely ruins the experience of the meal, leaving an impression of having been cheated. The food is very good; we were suggested adequate wines by the glass to pair, at a time we could see the prices, but at the end of the evening we were asked about a choice of dessert wines, one of which turned out to be €90 a glass. An unpleasant surprise on the bill, since it's more than half the cost of the food. The price overall was ok, but I would have preferred better wines throughout and not an extortionate dessert wine at the end, that was certainly far inferior to an e.g. d'Yquem that would have been cheaper.

We stayed on the way to The Alps for one night and had dinner. Everything was fantastic, especially the service which was friendly and fun and they really made you feel special. The food was sublime, some different options and all absolutely amazing, again served without stuffiness and an air of flair, panache without taking itself too seriously. A great wine list that is good value for really good regional wines. We'll go back, you should go.

When stayed in a hotel, you became a part of its history. Settle in a century old hotel that passed down through 3 generations. Jacques Lameloise legendary chef who is the previous owner also was born in this hotel. Friendly and helpful services. The front desk used to work in Thailand so we talked quite a bit. The hotel has only 16 rooms. The room is attractive comfortable. It is great for relaxing accomadation and a simple stay. Unlike many French countryside hotel, this hotel has an elevator which impressed me quite a bit.

Some of the best flavors we've ever experienced, with a well-choreographed service deserving of the Michelin-accolades. With that in mind, we were surprised that after email correspondence, and a conversation before the service, a nut allergy caused significant delay throughout our service. An honest mistake is completely understood, but our experience was riddled with poor communication in the kitchen. 3 courses had to be redone so my partner could consume them. My only regret is not asking them to re-prepare my first course, which sat and cooled for 15 minutes as we waited for my partner's dish to be re-made. Our first trip to Burgundy, and a true treat. We both chalk it up to a bad day for our table, but wouldn't return and fork up the premium for an experience that caused my partner to hesitate before each

After my challenges of trying every Michelin Stars in Paris and 3 Stars in France, I’m now tackling the « best », meaning the most famous or well known, 2 Stars in France on top of other things (Follow me for the reviews and updates) What’s extraordinary here? A gastronomic character that left an emotional heritage. What’s the best hommage? One unmissable stop on my 2 stars tour was Bernard Loiseau at La Côte d’Or. I’ve discussed in another review (auberge des templiers) on how mythical is the National 6 aka N6. Songs have been written on it. It was dubbed the « happiness highway » since it was the highway going down to the south. Le relai Bernard Loiseau was one of those important stop on that road. But it’s more than that. It’s a name. It’s a legend. The other day I was discussing with a young waiter that might have just been born when Bernard Loiseau left us in 2003, 20 years ago. This waiter was quoting him from a video he saw. In this video, a full of life Bernard Loiseau is showing an old menu to demonstrate how they knew how to live well back in the day (and having Beaujolais in lieu of water, on top of insane wines). Even in the mind of people way to young to have really known him, Bernard Loiseau is a legend because he celebrated a certain « savoir vivre », more focus on « they knew how to live  » rather than « they knew how to behave ». More about celebrating life. 20 years later, it does still resonate in the minds. 20 years later, his message is reaching us strongly, like a warning : Are we lost ? Are we still celebrating life or just pretending to be with some beautiful dishes with fancy names. 20 years later, he’s still there, reminding us. So, I obviously took the « Bernard Loiseau «  hommage menu. But then a strange feeling got the hold of me. I realize that I may not have been true to his logic. He was not nostalgic, he was about life, he was about how ephemeral the cuisine is. I should have taken the menu from the new chef and a great wine in his honor. It’s really hard to dissociate this restaurant to the character. For this particular case, don’t try. Go and watch the videos about him (plenty of them online). Nourish yourself of them. It’s important to keep this light burning. And enjoy your meal here, like you think he would have want you to. The crowd was very French non Parisian when I was there. It’s obviously a solid two stars even if I honestly have an hard assessing due to the BL effect. Next time I’ll take the “délice” menu which is may be a better hommage to do to him.

Room was excellent as was the Spa. All staff were very personable. The hotel has a wonderful garden, a shame that the weather meant that we couldn't fully.enjoy the outdoor facilities, but we will be back

Incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay at a beautiful hotel! Many thanks to the staff for accommodating us and our doggo in such a caring and professional manner. We only wishes we planned a longer stay.

A wonderful experience! The management knows that little things matter. Every aspect of the service was outstanding, but the whole team went above and beyond for our family with children. Gifts for the children, a treasure hunt and games room, 2* Michelin ice cream at the pool and even ensuring we knew there were times the children could enjoy the spa. Berangere Loiseau even made the effort to meet us upon departure. Bravo! We loved Le Cote d'Or, the history, the grounds, the building, the spa, the pool and Saulieu. Don't hesitate. We'll be back. Formidable.

Incredible experience, the spa is one the best - if not the best - we've ever been, the restaurant La Côte d'Or was above exceptional, the room was perfectly clean and most importantly, every single employee was extremely friendly and professional. We highly recommend and will be back as soon as possible!

Up to its reputation. This place is full of history and service aims at nothing but excellence

The people are fantastic in the Hotel. Wonderful. The bistro is the opposite. The service and the food are sub standard. Avoid this place on days the restaurant is closed unless you have another option.

I forgot my gold necklace in the room. I called them to ask if they found it and they said they did, they took my address to post it and now its been three months they claim they don't have the necklace anymore and it's been sent. They never sent the necklace and didn't even have a tracking number as a proof. Completely unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. They don't even pick up the phone anymore. If I knew I would go back to pick it up myself. The hotel is quick to respond to google reviews but my email was ignored following the response of Louis below.

Located on the outskirts of Meursault, Restaurant Le Soufflot de Meursault offers a fine dining experience in a relaxed setting. The semi-open kitchen allows diners to observe the bustling culinary activity. The food is described as exceptional, with creative dishes that are beautifully presented and well-seasoned. However, one drawback is the limited availability of wines by the glass. Nearby French restaurants such as L'Episode and Le Chevreuil come highly recommended for those visiting Meursault.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been. Great and very affordable selection of wines. Food and service is excellent. Highly recommended. Check out there bistros in Beaune and Chablis as well.

The food was to die for, especially the smoked duck! Not sure why this place doesn’t have a Michelin star. The food is easily better than many other Michelin stars I’ve been too.

It is located on the road that passes by the peripheral of Meursault. Fine dining restaurant in a bit more casual setting. It is semi-open kitchen so you can see the busy work. Food was amazing. They were creative and the plating and garnish were all beautifully executed while flavor was also on point, “seasoned” well and cooked to perfect texture for all ingredients. The minus involves their lack of availability for glass wines. Out of 30+ restaurants I visited in Bourgogne, this was the first and the last place to offer only one type for each, red, white and sparkling. And, the unnecessary sass. Asked if I want red or white, and the server just pours away and leaves without telling me what it is. Asked for a digestif and I was given an alternative without an explanation. Nothing was really out of place but it’s just that small detail that makes a customer return or not.

Superb lunch. We were tight on time because we had a degustation planned, but the waiters were very kind and took in charge the acceleration of the menu. Very gentle and seasonal menu. The only flaw, as you may have read in the other reviews, is the poor selection of wine by the glass (one red and one white option). Given that there are 10 wine coolers in the dining area (approximately with a total of 1000 bottles?) they could improve this aspect giving at least two options for red and two for white.

Burgundy's best kept secret. Good food good wine list, and hand written bill. Gold ol' fashion restaurant. Super busy, reservation likely needed like all places here.

Lovely restaurant to stop for lunch while visiting the wineries. Great service, friendly and professional staff. Affordable food , beautiful dishes and fresh ingredients. The wine menu is extensive so a great place for wine lovers.

Great food and wine! Unfortunately we weren't impressed by the service. If it were up to par with the food and wine, would be quite perfect.

I had a great experience with the food I had in this place but the overall experience was a bit average and I explain why. First of all, the restaurant is located in a beautiful place the entrance to it isn't just clearly signalled and we had to ask some random guests where it was, once we got in, we got greeted and escorted to our table. Once we sat, the atmosphere felt like we were in a bistro with expensive glassware and a large wine list. (there is a note on the food/wine menu that encourage you not to break the glassware or you'll be charged 30 euros for each glass you break, who goes to a restaurant thinking about breaking glassware?). Even though they have an extensive wine list, they just offered me one option for white or red by the glass, which was a bit disappointing. The service was like they were serving drinks to their mates, where a single tray wasn't seen to pick up any empty glassware, and everything was handled using their bare hands. One of the waiters was constantly crouching down to take the orders which I found a bit unprofessional. If you don't care about attention to detail and only care about the food and the great selection of wines by the bottle, then this is the place for you.

Many of the restuarant in France is close on Monday and Tuesday. We decided to choose a restuarant from one of the hotel's recommendation. The restuarant situated in the town meursault. A pretty town in cote d'Beaune, a town that is famous for its white wine. The food presentation is meticulously pretty. The taste of the food is joyously playful. The chef provides many unexpected twist and turn of the taste profile of his dishes. The use of lobster bisque in the fried langoustine ravioli provide beautiful combo tastes of land and sea. The freshness of green asperaus and goat cheese. The use of local Charolais beef and pinoi noir reduction sauce is simple yet elagant. It is a shame that we could not pair the food with the buttery Meursalt wine. We opt for a more power pinot noir from nearby village. P.s. the wine list is ridiculously excellent and inexpensive. Taste 9/10 Presentation 9/10 Technique 8.5/10 Value for money 9.5/10 Overall rating 9.2/10

This restaurant was excellent. It was nice to take a break from the heavy Burgundian food and enjoy a lunch with veggies. The food was beautiful and it tasted as great as it looked. All courses were well balanced, the perfect amount of each item. Wine list of course was great too. Restaurant was very reasonable priced for the quality. Will definitely revisit.

Was a bit doubtful when we arrived however when the first aperitif arrived all doubt was gone. Absolutely, one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure to eat at in Burgundy. Modern, surprising, just perfect.
