Arundel Castle

Castle
Nature & Parks
Arundel Castle is one of the most stunning and large castles in England and it's home to the Duke of Norfolk. This place is incredible, and visitors can explore its many rooms and balconies. There are also some interesting gardens nearby, as well as jousting events that can be enjoyed.
Amazing Castle situated in the beautiful South downs, West Sussex. The castle itself has had a lot of work to keep it looking so good. The Gothic style is said to be one of the best ever designed. The grounds are just as impressive with beautiful gardens maintained to a high standard. We went on the medieval weekend where there were crafts and stalls to look around. There were activities available for the public like axe throwing and archery. They also had the amazing tulip display that really set the scene for the day. Brilliant!

Beautiful place to visit... a must see... there is a lot see and would recommend to get there early so you can see the whole castle and gardens and appreciate its history, architecture and all its glory.... unfortunately I entered the place at around 1:30pm and just managed to only see the inside of the castle and missed the main gardens.. (it closes at 5pm) the website said you may take 2 hrs but that's not enough time.. more like 4 hrs easily. Prices are a bit expensive but worth it. Staff are kind and helpful. Ready to help and explain the history of the castle and all other related history. Parking seem to be free on the road just outside the castle but i parked in the car park opposite for approx. £3.40 for 4 hrs. I would have given a 5 star rating but prices are high and the website mislead me to think that i could see the whole castle and surroundings in 2 hrs. Children pay £10 and a adult £25!!! Ouch!
Christian C. — Google review
Beautiful Castle which has been very well maintained with loads of history within it's Walls. 10 min walk from the railway station and entry costs 27 pounds for Castle and Gardens. Takes about 2-3 hours to see the whole place. Great views of surrounding areas from the keep and luxurious rooms. The Gardens are are delight too. Perfect for a day trip.

Beautiful castle and charming gardens. Residence of the Duke of Norfolk, it's not the classic ruined castle. Still in use, has been restored and remodeled many times. Beautiful interiors with some of the most beautiful gardens I've visited. Well worth a visit (it takes 2-3 hours to see everything)
Aurelia Ghenuche — Google review
Fantastic day out for all the family, plenty going on with history tours, face painting, medieval games and archery/ axe throwing. You can also dress up in period clothing and also complete the outfit with shield and sword Fantastic day well worth it. Plus if you want to ask anything about the place there are people in every room who are all to happy to help 😊

The most stunning castle and grounds! My favorite while on our trip to the UK. Everything is so beautiful and well maintained. Staff are kind and have a wealth of knowledge. I was upset we had to rush a little due to scheduling conflicts. I could have spent forever exploring this place. Don't miss out on this absolute gem and plan more time than you think you'll need so you can soak up this beauty!

We went a little on the late side for the tulips, all more than opened and the daffodils long gone.. but still stunning.. very busy in some areas, like round by the fountain.. but otherwise nicely spread out.. had some interesting things going on, including some pretty birds of prey 😍

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this castle. Definitely one of the best castles I've been in England so far. I spent the whole day there. I took over one hundred pictures. Great for both adults and children. Simply fantastic. There are a lot of stairs though so stay in the gardens if you can't climb much!
Christine Kwakwa — Google review
This castle is truly spectacular! My husband and I were truly in awe of the incredible gardens and the stunning castle itself. Worth the ticket prices. The people who work here are so educated and lovely and passionate about history. This is worth your time— highly recommend!
Chelsea Murray — Google review
We were in awe of this castle and grounds! It seems expensive, but the price is well worth it! We did the castle, rooms and gardens, which took 4 hours at a leisurely pace and including 2 coffee breaks. We could’ve easily spent longer but we had an afternoon tea booked elsewhere. The staff were very knowledgeable, telling you little snippets of history and answered any questions we had. A few tricky/narrow stairways, but worth it for the views. The shop and cafe was good, cafe a little pricey, but to be expected in a tourist attraction. The gardens were stunning! And we almost skipped it! Just a heads up, the entrance is at the bottom of the hill, lol, we made this mistake and walked to the top 🙈
emma benson — Google review
Great castle, great views. I was very surprised, it looks like it was built last year, it's in such good condition. Lots to see on the inside, the staff are lovely. Gardens are very symmetrical so it seems all the same, but very nice nonetheless. Beautiful cathedral, nice facilities. I was a bit taken aback by the price, it cost us £50 just for my partner and I to go into the castle. It was the most expensive castle we have ever visited! But I would pay that any day to see the look on my partner's face, he loved all the architecture and woodwork. £2.50 for up to 4 hours in the car park on Mill Rd, pretty good rate. The staff knew the answers to most of the questions we had, and were quite lovely and friendly. The town itself has some nice antique stores as well.

One of my favourite Castles to visit. Here you can take photos, which is rare for any castle. We loved being able to touch some of the pieces, and explore the grounds. It’s an amazing Castle, and an amazing experience. We’ll never forget our visit, and further thank the Duke for allowing the Public to tour the home.

Wonderful day out for our group visiting the Castle and grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful with information. The gardens are beautiful. Plenty of places to sit in the gardens and just enjoy the ambience.

Well worth visiting the garden with the most beautiful tulips show you can ever imagine are well worthy the ticket price. Magical indeed. The rooms inside are amazing everything is well kept. We had lunch in the garden and cream tea in the cafe. Highly recommended.

Stunning castle, may be one of the best castles to see when visiting England. The grounds are also incredible. Every inch of this place is awe inspiring. Definitely should be on your bucket list. Also, don't skip the cafe/restaurant! Lovely staff and delicious treats! Finally got to try an English scone and it was everything I'd hoped. Highly recommend the town as well! Fantastic shops. Found everything we could dream of and it was the perfect end to our trip. 🥰

Wow what a wonderful place, We did not expect it to be so good. Massive turreted towers and a large circular keep to wander around. (steep and narrow steps in places). The castle rooms were incredible, with the great hall and the library being ours and most peoples favourites. The Italian style gardens with the fountains and oak rose arbours and other wood carvings were amazing. Staff were extremely informative and helpful. Restaurant, coffee shop and gift shop were within the castle. There is public parking opposite the main entrance.

Absolutely beautiful place. Very well maintained. Staff were so friendly, very knowledge about the history and so helpful. A great day out. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful castle.

I was reluctant to visit because of the cost but was really glad we did. One of the best such places we've visited. Obviously really well built originally, then restored, and now maintained. Loved the gardens and castle and even the bedrooms were worth the extra £2. Cafe was good for lunch too.
David Heaton — Google review
This castle is in great condition and a wonderful example of English Castels. The staff and volunteers are very informative and the entry prices are worth it. We spent 4 hours which gave us just enough time to see the Castel, Bedrooms and gardens.

A truly beautiful place that reflects the hard work and dedication of the team behind it. A must visit for anyone interested in local history or the wide period of history surrounding this castle. There is some disabled access but understandably access to top areas with narrow staircases are not accessible for wheelchair users.

My granddaughter loves history, so we thought a day at Arundel castle would be perfect for her ...and it absolutely was. Plenty to explore outside, the castle itself, the beautiful gardens, the chapel etc with plenty of places to stop for a sit down, picnic and relax. Inside there are lots of information boards, really knowledgeable guides and plenty to see. A great day out, and the town itself is worth exploring too.
Matt Bunker — Google review
Probably one of the most splendid castles in the UK, located in a delightful picturesque town. Despite not being as famous as Windsor Castle, which is a shame, I consider it to be one of the most well-preserved and truly stunning medieval treasures, surrounded be a breath- taking Tudor rose garden.
Maria Samson — Google review
What a lovely day out ,we visited a few years ago but went because of the tulip festival, and we were not disappointed . We went to the keep first before too many people arrived and the views from the top were well worth the climb. We also paid extra to see the bedrooms, which we felt were worth it.After looking around the castle, it was then a look around the grounds. The coffee shop inside the cafe had very little sitting room ,and maybe they should open the main cafe earlier. It was a great day out, but make sure you have plenty of time to fully take things in and then just sit and relax
N Pope — Google review
This is an amazing place to visit. During our trip it was a Bank Holiday and the grounds were full of tents containing people in medieval dress. We threw axes, fired long bows and crossbows. The castle tour was fantastic and the views from the keep were spectacular.
Paul Birchall — Google review
Probably the best castle I saw so far in UK. If you go there my suggestion is to arrive early because the car park in front to the castle is always busy (there are a lot of visitors) The tickets are a but expensive (you can have 3 type of visit (castle, castle and gardens or castle, bedroom and garden) I suggest the last option. You can spend the at least 5 hours there. Customer service is great. Garden is full of flowers, with a pond Castle is amazing a lot of history and beautiful pictures to see. It is great also for the kids. We had lunch there but you can easily take your food from home

Wow wow 😳 what a fantastic fantastic castle. This must be one of the nicest and best kept castle's we have been too , the guides within the castle are fantastic and great to get history from , the kids loved there activities on when we visited, the outside gardens and chapel were great . The cafe served lovely cakes , toilets were very good 👍 . What a credit to the owners for the upkeep and beautiful presentation. Easy parking across the road £5 all day . You may need to save some pennies if you plan a family day and cafe etc but a place to remember for all the family steeped in history!! . A+ from us
ANT LAWTON — Google review
Incredible castle. Didn't realize the rooms didn't open until 12pm but the time was easily eaten up by looking elsewhere in the castle and getting some lunch in the cafe. Lots of friendly staff around to answer questions.

What a lovely castle to visit. I've driven past it so many times over the years and never been in before today. There is so much to see inside and the views from the battlements are amazing. I would definitely recommend visiting the castle if you're in the area.

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
WWT Arundel is a family-friendly nature reserve that offers walks and boat tours, as well as the rare opportunity to spot birds in their natural habitat. The reserve is always beautiful no matter what the weather, with excellent paths and plenty of hides to shelter in if it rains. redevelopment work is ongoing at the moment but this only makes the place more interesting to explore.
It is always such a lovely place to visit rain or shine. There are excellent paths, and plenty of hides to shelter in if it rains. There is a lot of redevelopment work going on at the moment, and my favourite bridge has been dismantled. There is always plenty to see, and the birds and ducks change depending on the season.
Andy Matthews — Google review
Really enjoyable afternoon. Lovely surroundings and really enjoyed the birds. Particularly enjoyed the little bird swimming pool with glass sides. We were treated to an underwater swimming display by one very active duck. Beautiful. Nice cafe and friendly staff. Easy to access for my husband's powered wheelchair.

I have always loved coming here it is beautiful and quiet and tranquil. We went with four children of different ages and they all loved it. We went on the boat trip with a very friendly and knowledgeable man who even slowed the boat down and went back to show the children what they had missed. We were even lucky enough to see a grass snake. The talks were also lovely as well including the pelican talk. I would highly recommend coming to see the birds here.
Robin Turner — Google review
It was nice. Lovely walk, however the restaurant had very little choices of food , most of the food were "out of stock" and it is very highly priced, it would probably nicer to visit in a warmer weather , we could not see many of the birds and animals , the bird exhibition was closed . The gift shop just by the entrance is also very highly priced.
Alexandra Fekete — Google review
Lots of opportunities to see birds here - although it will be 90% ducks and gulls. Great to wander around for 2 hours and very pushchair accessible. Cafe has a lovely view over a wetlands area too. Ideally would've had more variety in birds.
Sam Eagers — Google review
Lovely place to visit, we spent a good couple of hours here. There is plenty to see and do it's a place for everyone. For two adults it was £14.95 each that included gift aid, we also book the boat for £3.00 each and it was well worth it. To see some of these birds and ducks enjoying life was definitely the highlight.
Louise — Google review
We had a great time at WWT Arundel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The wet weather didn’t stop us enjoying the boat trip. Lots to see and enjoy and will be visiting again in the summer.
Christine Healey — Google review
Nice place when the weather is good. Restaurant does not have enough choices of food and they ran out pretty quickly of hot food. I would take packed lunch and drinks as the food is bit pricy and next to non existence. Also you can not use sitting area inside when the weather is bad. Please click on like if this was helpful.
Kaushik — Google review
Fabulous place to visit especially if you like photography. Great opportunities to get up close to many varieties of birds and loved the Pelicans!! Nice restaurant overlooking the lake offering tasty menu. Easy to spend a good few hours at any visit.
David Bolton — Google review
It's good but compared with a normal nature reserve it's a bit zooish. However, the bird hides are very good, and eventually as the sun was rapidly disappearing I managed to get some pics of a Kingfisher. Had to use a load of exposure compensation, hence the very light background. Also saw lovely grey wagtail and the elusive water rail. Plus a pair of peregrine falcons on the adjacent hill. The visitor centre was good, staff friendly and helpful, and I loved the vegan pasties (even though I'm an omnivore).
michael hepworth — Google review
Lovely time there, and we had beautiful weather. Saw lots of different birds. Easy to get round with a wheelchair. It's disabled friendly. We ate there in the cafe, but there are places to picnic. It has places and things for children to enjoy.
Sandra Lawrence — Google review
I went with a friend and my almost 3 year old toddler. It was a wet and chilly day, but we spent a good 4 hours on site. We booked a 25-minute boat trip upon arrival, and it was lovely. My toddler was given a life jacket to wear. The cafe had a selection of hot and cold foods. The cakes looked amazing! The centre staff were welcoming, and my toddler was even given a sticker as it was his first visit, a lovely gesture. There were free crafts for children to do under cover. There is a small play area. We didn't take a pushchair as mine loves walking, but the paths are suitable to take one with you. There are bid hides, willow woven structures, and more. We saw the pelican feeding session. Free parking on site. Well worth a visit.
Fiona Watkins — Google review
Stunning place to visit, so peaceful out there, took the boat ride round the sanctuary, boat captain very knowledgeable (Joel?) explained a lot about the birds, also has amazing eyesight to spot a buzzard half way up the hills in a tree! Walking round way lovely, the hides and a good way to watch the birds without disturbing them. All in all a great day out, our 8 year old son enjoyed it too
Jon Jones-Allen — Google review
Excellent site to see a huge variety of birds in natural surroundings, main entrance is looking a little tired but don't let that put you off, the admission staff are very helpful and welcoming, inside the main building is a gift shop and cafe, once outside you immediately see a large area of water with lots of different birds, walkways then lead you around the site with a number of hides en route many sited opposite areas of water, there is a picnic area with tables and benches close to the main entrance. Parking is free and on site.
A340 fan — Google review
Have been a member for a long time now. Always something to see and enjoy. Even in winter you can catch a glimpse of something interesting and then warm up in the cafe with a coffee. I would recommend bringing your own food in the summer months as food is a little pricey. My favourite is always seeing the sand martins and the eiders. Looking forward to returning soon.
Vikki Strachan — Google review
Today was my family’s first visit to WWT Arundel. What a wonderful place. The site is well maintained and set out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The boat rides are a highlight. The wildfowl are well treated. The cafe serves simple but well prepared food and the gift shop is well curated (particularly the range of books and bird-themed picture books). We will definitely visit again.
Andrew I — Google review
Absolutely beautiful flora and fauna. We loved the meandering walkways that gently guide you through the park. There's something to discover around every bend. I particularly loved the sand martin nesting bank, which was brimming with life. The wooden reed walkway, the willow objects, fences and sphere, and the Wetlands Secrets hut were other highlights. Not to mention the birds and the hides. It all feels very natural, and with the woods as the backdrop even a bit like a European jungle, yet is easily accessible. You can see glimpses of the castle between the trees, which gives everything a magical feeling. Personally I liked the wilder parts of the park more than the fenced in areas with the more exotic birds. We went on a slightly drizzly Friday and it wasn't crowded - we actually thought it was the perfect weather for the scenery and there were many options for shelter. If you want to go on a boat tour, don't hesitate booking, as they fill up very quickly.

Bolney Wine Estate offers guided tours of their vineyard and winery, including tastings of their produce and a full-day cafe. The wine tour provides an educational experience on grape varieties and the production of different wine styles. The estate also features a lovely restaurant with friendly staff who offer excellent service and delicious food, presented beautifully. With a lift available for accessibility to the first-floor restaurant, it's an ideal place to enjoy coffee or lunch, making Bolney Wine Estate worth visiting again.
Lovely place to eat. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a lift too, if needed as the restaurant is on 1st floor. The food was delicious and well presented. Really enjoyed my time here and will return.

Attended the Sussex wine and cheese tour earlier today and it was excellent. William, our host, was enthusiastic and friendly. We visited for the Ultimate Wine Tasting tour. The setting is lovely, especially in the summer. The structure of the tour and tasting was well thought out. We began with a brief intro over a glass of Estate Rose, then the tour through the vineyard and winery, then back to the private tasting room. The tasting had 5 Bolney wines paired with local cheese, fish and salami and we learned about the wines and what foods they would accompany best. This was followed by a sharing board and wine on order if you wanted it. My only small critique would be timing the delivery of the boards and wine to be closer together - which in the grand scheme of things is not a big issue. Personally, I would have been happier with the board arriving a few minutes later so our wine wasn't too far behind. After the tour, there is a lovely deck that catches the sun and is perfect for a relaxed drink after the tasting. Booking in advance for the weekend is essential over the summer as we booked relatively last minute and slots were limited! We would definitely return.

Great experience at Bolney. We had a delayed flight at Gatwick - and Bolney accommodated us last minute without fuss for a tour of the winery and a cheeky couple bottles of delicious bubbles. Want to come back in summer - great place to visit to see wine making.

We got given this nice voucher on our birthday for a wine tour, and today was the day. Maybe a Tuesday morning is not the most logical time for a wine tasting tour, but it was the only slot we could find this week. So we ended up as the only ones in the tour, which was well done and presented by our knowledgeable and kind tour guide. The tour included wine tasting, which was again, well presented and accompanied with some nice cheeses. The wine tasting did have a bit of a ‘please buy out wine’ ring to it, tasted a bit like a promotion, although without any pressure. Afterwards we ordered some coffee with pastries, which were very nice. On a nice day, this is definitely worth a visit.

Great to see the new cafe and shop open as we are local so a great destination for coffee and cake with dogs. Today was a special occasion with vineyard tour and wine tasting. Thanks to John and Alex for a great experience. Cheese pairings delicious too and the lunch and dessert a bonus. We will be back soon. 👍

Had a tremendous afternoon and evening on a wine tasting and tour . The guide ( Kelly ) was excellent, she explained everything clearly and concisely and did so with enthusiasm and obvious great knowledge. We then had a tasting session in which further information was given as well as tasting some of the wines produced on the estate along with local cheeses, meats and fish. The estate was beautiful and the whole experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely reccomend a visit.

Billy's on the Beach is a charming cafe-bar with a lovely terrace offering stunning sea views. On Thursday through Saturday evenings, it transforms into an intimate bistro. The restaurant is dog-friendly and offers a delectable full English breakfast featuring locally sourced ingredients like sausages from the butcher and creamy, smooth coffee to start your day right. Visitors can also enjoy takeaway options and appreciate the first-class food served here.
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Limited choices on plant-based/ vegan options but the ones they'd have tasted great. Best mushroom burger I've had and the kids were happy too with the childres menu. Highly recommended and staff very attentive. And not bad views either.

Best fish and chips I have ever had. Fish was fresh batter was crispy, chips had a slight crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For dessert the homemade cheesecake was delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, the staff were friendly and helpful. An all round great experience.

Accidental discovery of this place as we only came to look at the beach. Ended-up having eggs benedict and breakfasts all round. Great staff & great food. We didn't need lunch after that! Bill's Chichester Restaurant is a cosy, eclectic cafe and restaurant with a homely feel. It offers a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner menus which include items such as fried eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and toast. There are three vegetarian options available as well.
My first ever visit to Bills. I will definitely return. The staff were welcoming and seated us straight away. We were handed the menu. Everything sounded delicious. My partner had THE BIG CHEESE' ULTIMATE BRUNCH STACK, and I had the BRUNCH SHAWARMA. A latte and a cappuccino. Coffee was perfect, and I'm quite fussy! This was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Fresh, tasty, and filling. It was completely different from anything I have had as a breakfast dish. I really, really enjoyed it. My partner said his was very filling and delicious. Service was great, attentive but not over bearing. The bill was very less than we thought also.

I visited Bill's in Chichester on Tuesday 12 April 2022 for lunch, a weekday during the Easter school holidays. I was with one other person. This was my second visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. The restaurant comprises of one fairly large sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed Bill's Classic Burger with cheese and bacon for my main course and an Eton Colada for my dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was reasonable value for money, I paid around £28 for two courses and a drink. Overall I really enjoyed my visit.

Wow this has no doubt been one of the best places we’ve enjoyed dinner at. The service was amazing as staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and great quality too. Will definitely go back next time we go to Chichester

Went for dinner before going to the Chichester Festival Theatre to see Drop The Dead Donkey. Food was good, although I thought the chicken was a bit hard, but it was crumb coated. Service was very good, all the staff were polite and attentative and seemed to be enjoying themselves. As the evening went on it got busier. It was good value at just over £60 for 3 courses and drinks.

It was a very wonderful experience. Me and my friend were greeted by a lady who was at the host reception and we’re given a big table next to the door. The lady who served us was great ( I forgot her name) and had a little chat about the company as I used to work for bills 2016-2018. So much has changed but I saw some of the dishes and drinks I served to the guests were still on the menu. The tortilla chips are my favourite. I ordered steak and eggs for my mains and it was delicious and my friend ordered chicken broccoli with mash potato I forgot the dishes name. Her chicken was pink at the bottom and wasn’t cooked properly so the lady who served us consulted something with the manager and gave us drinks on the house. When I had a sip of pink lemonade it reminded me of those days I worked in bills and immediately felt nostalgic. I remember the busy days running around in the restaurant. We wanted to have puddings but decided we were late for our show so we asked for the bill. It seems like the service charge situation still continues the service charge needs to go to the server not the company! . I asked the lady who served us to remove the service charge so she would get it and tipped her as we had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately I had no cash on me so I tipped her on card and gave her a chocolate hopefully she isn’t allergic otherwise I would be scandalised. We will be coming for breakfast soon hopefully next month

I really like Bills, the food is great & service outstanding. Only small criticism is that I feel the food becomes cold quickly. Perhaps plates need to be warmer. Also, no butter on my sourdough toast 😲 ! Got some pretty quickly tho' 🤩

Nice food and very helpful friendly staff, adapting some menu items for us. Good vegan options. Has become a staple for brunch for us. Photo of friends chicken burger attached.

Fab breakfasts, full of taste with a very tasy cocktail to boot. Easily accessible with a lift for wheelchair users or those less mobile and excellent service in spite of how busy it got as the morning went on.

Eclectic mix of styles makes this restaurant a quirky place with loads of character. Service was efficient and friendly. We were there at 5:30 on a Saturday and it was about 1/3 full. Chicken burger was very very tasty and the chicken was very juicy. Partner had egg and steak. Looked really good. Would definitely go back.

Popped in after the Christmas Carol service in the cathedral, hadn’t book but managed to get a table. The burger was amazing with a twist of bourbon (in a small pep pit on the bun). Tried the Sassy Cider, a lovely drink. Great place to eat very friendly staff will definitely go back.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is good quality - my eggs were slightly over done but overall it was tasty! The service for bottomless cocktails was a little slow at times but overall had a good experience.

Enjoyed a lovely gluten free brunch, staff friendly and helpful, other guests in our party enjoyed fluffy pancakes and fish pie all of which were lovely.

Lovely and quiet on the bank holiday Monday. Very good service, kind. Food was very good. Only minor thing is there was a service charge on the bill 12.5%. I was more than happy to tip as it was a really pleasant experience. But I didn’t get that option to do it myself. It was already on the bill which I didn’t like. As there were 4 of us and we had a good meal, it put the bill up a lot. I’d like to have the choice. High charge in my opinion.

Can't fault this place. From welcome to theend the staff were great. Before we even sat down we had 2 free glasses if prosecco as our anniversary. Staff were so attentive. Great menu and great atmosphere. All three courses were lovely. If had to pick the a stand out it was the strawberry flowerpot with soil! So amazing and after a nudge from waitress we were told we could actually eat the pot as made if chocolate. Very reasonable all round and as mentioned a great atmosphere and mix of clientele. Will definitely be back.

NuPosto is an Italian eatery and bar featuring a decor adorned with graffiti, offering genuine Neapolitan pizza cooked in a traditional oven. They pride themselves on serving fresh pasta made daily, which is both dairy and egg free. Additionally, they provide a selection of vegan pizzas to cater to different dietary preferences. The restaurant sources ingredients from Napoli and prepares their pizzas in the authentic Neapolitan style, characterized by a thin and crispy base that has garnered rave reviews.
Very delicious food! We had one pizza and ravioli, we both enjoyed a lot, also strawberry cooler was excellent! We will come back next time we are in Brighton 🤍

Visiting Brighton I decide to try NuPosto with my kids, the pizzas were amazing right amount of toppings Neapolitan base and wood fired oven. Friendly service. The only let down was the dessert. We ordered a Tiramisù we received a dessert made of whipped cream and some sponge completely drenched in coffee

Delicious food that was beautifully presented. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. Lovely decor and ambience and the staff were very pleasant. Only gave it a 4 because they were still doing finishing touches when we visited so there were some building materials tucked down by the toilets, menus for the previous restaurant up in the toilet cubicles and they didn’t have the stock to do cocktails, however the cocktail menu looked delicious so I am fully expecting to increase by score to a 5 when we return, which we definitely will be.

Pizza just like Naples! There are some pizza spots in Brighton, but none like NuPosto. Lucas, our phenomenal waiter, kindly greeted us and led us to a charming table. My friend and I started with the garlic bread and wow it was tasty! The dough was perfect. Fully of flavour but as soft as a pillow. I could practically feel the Neapolitan wind on my cheek as I savoured every bite. After the garlic bread, we indulged into pizza. Whoever cooked that thing knew how to make a man feel good! Seasoned to perfection. It was soft, but rich in flavour. Incredible! Thank you NuPosto :))

Nu Posto is easily my favourite restaurant in Brighton! The atmosphere and service is wonderful and the food is insanely delicious. The mushroom tagliatelle pasta is a must - it is freshly made and so delicious. Would 1000% recommend to anyone - you won’t be disappointed!

Great atmosphere, really friendly service, lovely ambiance - very chilled out - child / family friendly and also good for groups. The food is really nice - the pizzas look like the crust is a bit too thick (too much dough) but they taste great. The pasta is made fresh (it’s also vegan) and tastes great.

Great trendy local Italian restaurant. Authentic fresh Italian ingredients and very reasonable prices. Good selection of drinks including cocktails and craft beer. The pasta is made at the premises and both the pasta dishes we had were excellent, fresh and well balanced in terms of flavour. We will certainly come again to try the pizza which looked amazing. The service by what seems to be a mainly Italian team was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Seafood restaurant
This unpretentious seafood restaurant serves up fresh, regional produce and local artworks in a relaxed setting. Former Fat Duck chef Duncan Ray cooks fish here himself, ensuring that it is always the freshest possible. The only way to get truly delicious seafood is to catch it yourself and cook it yourself at The Little Fish Market, but with its limited space, this isn't an option for everyone.
Had a superb meal here. To my mind a restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. Excellent dishes and wine pairings. The Crab dish was a particular high light. Lovely touch of the chef presenting the dishes. We will be back. 😊

Not our first visit to The Little Fish Market, and it certainly won't be our last. The food has remained consistently good over the years, with faultless fish cookery, delicately balanced flavours, imaginative ingredient combinations and surprisingly delightful amuse bouches! This evening, the highlights for us were the pan fried cod, cured monkfish, and the diminutive but flavour-packed treacle bread. The only slight disappointment was the peanut butter, chocolate and banana dessert, which was a bit too sweet for my liking and not to my partner's taste, but that is more of a personal preference rather than a failing on the chef's part. The service, also, could have been better, with a bit of indifference and brusqueness at first, but things got better as the evening went on. Don't expect a speedy meal here, and the tasting menu will take a good three hours from start to finish, so as long as you're prepared for that, and want to enjoy delicious seafood and fish, without too many bells and whistles in the form of ambience, this is the place for you.
Anu Narayan — Google review
The very best place for fish and service. This is saying something as Brighton has so many wonderful restaurants and I'm also comparing TLFM to Michelin star restaurants I've been too. The chef here is also so humble although superbly talented.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Little Fish Market! The staff and chef were really friendly and explained each dish in detail. Each of the courses from the tasting menu were fabulous and the flavours were mouth-watering! We can’t wait to come back soon!

An absolutely beautiful experience with the most wonderful food and drink. It was a massive treat and we were left so inspired! The snacks were delicious, but the three fish courses were naturally the stand out. The slip sole was so tender that it fell away from the bone so cleanly, and it was so incredibly buttery and rich and just divine! We had the cheese course as well which was gorgeous. The wine flight is well worth doing too - who could resist a glass of champagne at the beginning of a special meal!? The ambience of the restaurant was calm and we felt very comfortable and able to talk as it wasn't too noisy. The service was efficient and we felt very looked after. We would absolutely love to come again and will be telling everyone we know!

Had high expectations but for “fine dining’ at 95 pounds pp, this experience fell short of other similarly priced restaurants. Better up front explanation of the dish ingredients and cooking philosophy would have helped. The egg like dish (note it was not egg) was odd given the dish description provided and it’s consistency was too watery. The mackerel dish was underwhelming. Deserts were excellent and restaurant ambience was very nice.

Took my partner here for her birthday, and we had a really lovely evening. Great food, atmosphere, and it was great chatting to the head chef/owner after too. Definitely recommended
sean williams — Google review
Excellent food spread nicely throughtout the evening, if a tad pricey at £140pp with wine pairing, but this is "fine dining". Nice that the chef (owner?) came and said hello before and after our meal and the two service staff were warm and attentive. The main issue is the basic cafe feel to the decor and furniture, absolutely souless and jarringly echoey and cold. Overall good. Could do better.

When I lived just around the corner from this venue, I never once saw: a menu in the window, dining customers eating a meal, any customers at all, actually open for business. Things did change so someone was doing something on occasion. Apparently, there's no menus because you're not offered a choice. Of anything it seems. Customers all receive the same multi course tasting menu. There is only one dining time slot, 6.30pm. All customers must arrive on time, as all tables are served each freshly prepared course at the same time. I understand the concept, because you're being offered (subjected to) an experience likely to take a couple of hours whether you like it or not. I appreciate the amount of work, knowledge, passion, experience and skill that goes on in higher end kitchens, but any competent kitchen can serve twenty identical plates of food at the same time, it's less of an a la carte menu skillset needed and more a workflow efficient banqueting style of pre-prep, finish, plate, dress, and serve. Enough floor staff for swift service roll outs across the room like a wave - and if the first punter served finishes before the last plate is placed, you've misunderstood the concept of bulk prep, speedy plating and competent hands front and back. Dining as a customer, banqueting is my least favourite style of sevice. I resent being a prisoner to a kitchen's staggered timetable. That course of three bites of smoked salmon three ways with a foam, an emulsion and a spritz fizz was nice and fine but I'm not waiting 25 minutes between esch plate in a six course meal. Not for a hundred pounds a head I'm not.

Really lovely food but very brightly lit and echoey like a canteen. Would be a hundred times better if they dimmed the lights and got some table lamps. What was supposed to be a romantic meal felt more like a parent teacher evening

I came here to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic evening. There’s an added excitement to the fact that everyone is experiencing the same dishes at the same time. Playful, unexpected plates are paced throughout the evening - we stayed for about 3.5 hours but it felt more like 1.5! It was great that the chef came out to speak to us too and present some of the dishes. Would definitely recommend it

My third visit and already looking forward to the next one! Duncan is a truly talented chef and his food is always imaginative, beautiful and tastes incredible. Ideally located just off the seafront it will always be my first choice for a cheeky weekend in Brighton. Bravo again LFM, you never disappoint x

As a culinary experience this was a sad disappointment. We ordered the wine inclusive meal, but sadly no food arrived with the allocated wine. After all the effort they made to ensure we arrived on time, it was extremely disappointing that they could not get any of their timings right. Delicious food, but ultimately not good value for money.

I had one of the best meals of my life here. The chef has a genius for combining flavours into something really special. Let me give an example. The appetizers included a seaweed wafer flavoured with miso. On the wafer was ocean trout with a little oyster puree and some coriander. The rest of the meal continued in the same vein. Highly recommended! Came back again in 2023 and had another great meal. I really enjoyed the way the servings highlighted and supported the flavour of the fish. More than ever highly recommended for fish lovers.
Jeremy Horey — Google review
The food was exquisite, the service lacklustre given there were only 2 tables, ambience was non existent and I felt like I was at school with a 6.45pm start. It had the feel and lighting of a cafe where I might spend £15 not what turned out to be £150 a head. The parade of people (presumably kitchen staff) walking past our table shortly after we sat down further detracted from the experience. When I’m spending that much money I expect more of my surroundings and more attentive service. If you remove the wine from the table you shouldn’t wait to be asked to fill up glasses.

The Little Fish market is outstanding. It's without doubt one of the best places to eat in Brighton and if you're a fish lover then it's a must go. Everything we ate was delicious and all the fish was perfectly cooked. The wine flight was so good. The service was first class. I can't wait to go back.
