I found this restaurant on Google Map and decided to have a try immediately. I like the atmosphere of this restaurant: the decoration is quite modern but with a nice touch of nostalgia. It boasts creative Serbian cooking and I do believe they made it. The dishes are quite creative but they are based on most traditional ingredients of Serbian cuisine. I am quite satisfied with pork neck grill, and the cheese roll is also great.

This was certainly one of the best meals we have had in the two months we have been in Serbia The waiter recommended the beet tartar and the veal cheeks which were both phenomenal! My husband had the venison which was perfectly cooked and I had the fish which was fresh as delicious I particularly enjoyed the amount of vegetables served and the portions were quite good The desserts were also amazing fresh and not overly sweet The service was exceptional and the atmosphere very lovely as well!

I think this is the best restaurant in Novi Sad. If you want to eat large portions of traditional food this restaurant is not for you. This is about fine dining in a cozy atmosphere, service quality, exquisite food quality and great wine. Has a wide selection of Serbian wines. So if you want to go on a culinary experience this is the place. It is non smoking restaurant wich is rare in Serbia.

The restaurant is located near the center of Novi Sad. It's not enough to say how much this restaurant offers in terms of quality, the staff are absolutely welcoming, attentive and very knowledgeable about what they're offering, so that you really feel that you are in a different place compared to other restaurants. The food is prepared at a high level with great emphasis on decoration.The experience will satisfy all your senses. The dishes are beautifully plated and their taste is exquisite. Only quality products are used, such as beef, lamb, duck. Food portions are not excessively large, which gives you space to try more types of appetizers and dishes. The restaurant offers a wide range of wines, both domestic and foreign. I recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to try something high-quality and delicious, pay a slightly higher price that justifies everything from what is offered, along with the ambiance itself, which leaves the taste of a prestigious restaurant.

It is one of the best places we’ve visited during 2 weeks in Serbia. Very tasty food, quick service. But the place is not big, so it is better to book a table in advance.

One of my favorite meals I’ve ever had. All the food was excellent; the ravioli with game ragu and celery root purée was to die for. Fantastic wine list, and the service was impeccable. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on everything from wine selection to the order we should ask for our dishes to come out. Plus, a super-cozy ambience. If you only eat at one place in Novi Sad, make it Project 72

We visited the place expecting a fine dining experience along 3 of my friends. The place looks very nice and the menu looks quite interesting with a variety of choices. Waiter was very kind and helpful. However we ordered 5 main dishes and 3 starters and when they arrived all together 6/8 dishes were cold. Like too cold although they were tasty. Big disappointment as it really was tasty but too cold

Second time dining at Project 72, after being away for a year, and once again very happy we went. Food continues to be creative and features local game meats. Waiter very knowledgable about the wines and how to pair with our dishes. Will continue to go and enjoy the bounty

Wow wow wow , those are 3 words that describe this restaurant , the food is outstanding and really good. It was one of the best meals in Serbia and I would recommend to eat here if visiting Novi sad or even if driving through one should stop and eat here. The fish was really good and so was the cold ajvar (like an ice cream) but it was really well made. The Mille feuille and Parsnip cream was really out of this world. They know what they are making, the food is really goods

So let me start off with ambient. Great cozy place for wine lovers. This being said, it’s probably the only thing you should really have THAT will meet your expectations. Food is actually quite bland, presentation actually quite nice however taste shortfalls to say the least. In my opinion it is not a restaurant and it should be really marketed as wine and cheese cellar. Mushroom dishes we had tasted actually nothing like mushrooms at all as you would not tell which mushroom is which they all tasted the same…possibly of being frozen.. I would normally rate a restaurant by the way they do their most simple dish - pasta with mushrooms…wouldn’t serve it to dogs tbh.. I had local fish for a dish-wasn’t mentioned by the waiter that is a SMOKED trout, as menu instructions are to consult with a staff about local fish. Pan seared with potatoes and greens, wasn’t bad but then again nothing you really can’t do in your own kitchen at home.. Finally service, pasta returned was not charged to the bill, waiter was quite decent entire time up until the end where on 4900 din bill (50$) he did receive 1000 DIN (10$) in tip however never bothered to even say thank you. Overall I don’t recommend the place to go over unless you crave for some wine and cheese.

As someone who is a massive foodie and as someone who spends quite a lot of time in Serbia I can hands down say this is the best restaurant I have been to in the balkans. The food was exceptional, you must try the ajvar ice cream and lamb main course. Presentation and taste were 10/10 as was the local organic wine. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable so if you have time in Novi Sad put this place at the top of your list ! I will be back as soon as I can !

The well-crafted food menu impressed us with its fusion of flavors, offering options to suit various preferences. The waiter's timely assistance and menu guidance made our ordering process not just efficient but also an enjoyable part of the experience. Our orders, including starters from different menus and flavorful mains like chicken, pork neck, and ravioli, were delivered promptly. Each dish displayed meticulous plating and well-thought-out flavors, inviting us to savor each bite. Desserts emerged as a true highlight, featuring a diverse range of flavors. The Parsnip Cream table delivery added a special touch, seamlessly integrating into the overall experience. Excellent food! Supreme taste! You can order anything from the menu and you will not be disappointed. Located only a few minutes walking distance away from the main pedestrian area, this place offers modern version of classical Serbian cuisine. The atmosphere is cosy and it is ideal for a business lunch/dinner or fine-dining experience. Staff was helpful in ordering correct choice. This place deserves more than 5 star. Definetly will go again to taste other foods!

First of all, I want to say that I had a wonderful afternoon there with mostly good food. It was just one course that made me feel really dizzy and uncomfortable. The smoke beetroot had an effect on me that I cannot really describe or understand. Maybe it was just too smoky for my taste. It did not really help that it felt like the waiters were weirdly competitive if it comes to waiting tables? It started really great and I thought it would be a lovely evening but in the end I was feeling a bit rushed.

This place is not too pet-friendly: the dogs are not allowed inside or on the inner yard terrace, but can be kept under the table on the sidewalk. The service is nice and swift. The food is quite OK, nothing extraordinary, but very decent: not salty at all, which is a rare find in Serbia, served hot and beautifully presented. The linguini had a small number of clams in them but were prepared al dente and were overall very satisfactory. The fish in fish & chips was overbreaded, the Santorini salad was mostly greens. We had a pleasant lunch and I would definitely consider coming back if ever in Novi Sad again.

Excellent restaurant (and very very good value for money). One of the best restaurant I have been to lately. The food is delicious, with fresh ingredients, well cooked and beautifully presented. They also make their own bread which is delicious. The service is excellent and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect: tables beautifully dressed, walls well decorated with many authentic objects and what looks like memories from the team, it kind of gives a soul to the place and makes you travel. Absolutely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant checks all the boxes, except variety of beers (but the ones they have are great - 3Bir). The interior is wonderfully well thought of. The details are greatly selected and add up to a relaxing and nice atmosphere. The food is great - everything tastes fresh and prepared with the right ingredients and herbs. I would definitely recommend the calamari and the tiganja. It is a rare and precious spot in Novi Sad - indulge yourself there! Ps - not suitable for wheelchairs.

Shared one soup and two main dishes with a friend. Fish was perfectly tender and risotto rice wasn't too hard. Pretty decent portion as well.

It was a nice experience but for me it just didn't live to the hype. The fish was gorgeous but the calamari with pesto was way too salty. The wine was nice.

The food there is very tasty. We took crispy cheese rolls and seafood pasta. I definitely recommend this place for a dining experience. The atmosphere is also nice there. The waiters speak English and they even have an English menu, which is very unusual for Serbia. The prices are rather above average.

Very good restaurant with an interesting menu mostly sourced from local suppliers. For lunch with a party of four we had 4 Mediterranean Fish soups, and plates of Hummus, Sea fish pate, Veal Lahmacun, Squid rings, Grilled cheese, and Cucumber salad to share. The food was very good. Service was excellent and very attentive. The restaurant had English language menus. The restaurant had a non-smoking side that was clear of any smoke. Very pleasant experience.

This restaurant is one of our absolute favorites in Novi Sad. Wonderful staff and creative chef result in delicious meals. The appetizers are so creative. We had the calamari, smoked tuna, a spicy cheese dip and fish pate that were exceptional. I can highly recommend the octopus and the seafood stew. Our friends had local river fish and said it was also excellent.

One of my favorite restaurants across Serbia!🐟 I came here for lunch without any reservation and I only taste the calamari. It was great! 🦑 The treats they gave at the beginning were also quite tasty. I wish one day I will eat different food on the menu and experience the same satisfaction.🤞🏼 The decoration of the place is very good, heartwarming and gives strange energy as well as calmness. For me, prices are high for Serbia, affordable for Western tourist.

What a super cute little place. When I first walked up I thought it was closed, but it wasn’t. Great, efficient service with great fish and vegetarian choices. The food was a 5 for presentation, but the fish was a bit dry. Guessing it may have just been a one off.

The most unprofessional restaurant ever. After having a couple of bad experiences with them this one was the worst: I ordered delivery through Glovo application from them. And after confirming my order, than waiting for 2 and a half hours, they confirmed the delivery although the pizza never came. Even though I called the restaurant two times where they assured me that the order is on the way. Finally after having a chat with glovo support, I found out that the restaurant cancelled the order without ever notifying me.

At not such a promising location a little hidden pizza gem. Reminded me of Italian family restaurants I saw during my travels. Such a warm and welcoming service. Pizza is from a wooden oven, delicious. Ingredients on spot. Crust is great for desert ;) with an amazing Marina Cvetić premium olive oil from Italy. On each table you can find a proper bottle of wine as a suggestion - winery Deurić, great winery Matalj,... A restaurant I will revisit for sure.

I ordered a family Capricciosa, and it definitely didn‘t meet expectations. For a pizza that we paid almost 2,000 rsd, the ham was of a suspicious quality and there was no cheese as you can see attached. I called and complained but no actions from the staff came back, other than convincing me that the pizza is ok. (If that‘s true, I will never order again here).

Went to check out the pizza but ended up getting a pasta, which is something I almost never eat in restaurants. Beef in truffle sauce along with hand made pasta...and it’s great. The meal itself was just wonderful. Also had a sneak preview of a new item - veal ribs with potatoes and kajmak from another plate, that was seriously good meal as well. From the first bite anyone can tell it’s made with care, devotion and attention to details, saucy and juicy, served properly. Saw the pizza and it looks fine, might try it some other time. Serious restaurant right there on boulevard.

The best: Italian songs in the background. The service is really slow, we waited for half an hour for one starter and a carbonara. That means they were made in the moment but anyway isn't was too much. The starter I asked was a bruscheta con salmon, it was a big plate with maybe 6 breads with extremely salty taste maybe because of the combination of cheese and salmon.

Amazing service and great food... We got the ham and mushroom gnocchi and the seafood pizza. My friend said it was the best seafood pizza he'd had. The gnocchi was very well made. Really enjoyed the welcome wines when we sat down 😁 also the waiter helped us pay for the parking outside as we didn't have credit on our phone. Super.

This is one of the best Italian places in Novi Sad. The pizza is very delicious and never burnt. I would also recommend many of their pasta and lasagna dishes. Try the Smoked Salmon appetizer! Probably the best Pizza in Novi Sad!

Rarely do I say this, but this has to be one of the best food places I've visited in the world. Had Zucchinis with chicken and was blown away. The waiter was also amazing. Really cute place as well. I don't go to the same place twice but will visit again!

We had a very nice experience. Kind staff, delicious traditional food- they even had Hungarian Debreceni sausage - I'm a proud Hungarian so I was really surprised and later on when I tried it, I was very happy about it. They also have Gulyas (Hungarian style) that I didn't try, next time 😉 Reasonable prices, good decor,nice atmosphere. Unfortunately like everywhere in Serbia people can smoke inside, what can make the experience a bit less enjoyable, at least for me as a non smoker. But... we'll be back for sure for another mouthwatering experience 😊

The authentic Serbian cuisine, the portions are huge and filling. The Hortobadi style pork roast, which had so many portions of pork. The Slovak and debrecen sausage was delicious,so was the perkelt (beef stew). The prekmurska gibancia (desert) was nice. The team is polite and,Emil was kind and friendly. The shot at the end was cherry on top. Thank you for having us.

My family and I had a lovely dinner at Veliki Cafe Restaurant. We are from Toronto Canada and it was our final night in Serbia and this was the best dinner we had in Novi Sad. So happy we picked this place to Dine at for our final dinner. The service was exceptional and the servers spoke great English and very polite and welcoming. We ordered two salads to start which were excellent and nice presentation and all housemate dressings. They brought us a basket of homemade bread which was really nice and had mix of white and brown bread which was really nice. The entrees came and nicely presented on the plates and shoes hot. I ordered the stuffed vegetarian Zuchinni with couscous inside topped with cheese. It was great one of my favorite meals so far in Serbia. It's hard to find vegetarian options and the menu here had lots. My Mom and brother got grilled chicken dinner and they really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back next time I visit Novi Sad.

Food is good but too expensive for what it offers. Tastes maybe not for everybody but still recommend to try it. Had an issue with what was ordered and what was delivered. Mistake can happen but I really did not like that the waiter knew that the kitchen screwed up the order and still brought it to the table like he thought we would accept it.

I have been there many a times on every single visit to this beautiful Serbian city - Novi Sad. Veliki Cafe has a nice ambience, plenty of outdoor seatings to have a meal and enjoy the weather. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

Very nice place, excellent service and very tasty food :) We ordered chicken soup which was like homemade, homemade pasta with cheese and bacon and butkica na dinstanom kupusu ^^ All excellent and big portions ! Only minus is for the allowed smoking in the restaurant.

The waiter was amazingly friendly and professional at the same time. Even gave us a good couple of laughs. The food - delicious. We had Hungarian stew and pork ribs. The pumpkin tart was tasty, and not too sweet.

In general quite a nice place, I enjoy the atmosphere. You can find some specific local dishes here but the quality of food disappoints sometimes. Last time I ordered a cheese plate and got this cheese rind... very unpleasant for this class of restaurant

Very good service and atmosphere. Food is probably good too but we didn't like it. Gulash was ok but meat inside was dry. Slovenian sausage was dry too and also it's super spicy. Debrecen sausage is ok but a little bit dry again. Just wine and beer was perfect!

Nice terasse and atmosphere and view. We arre trying their seosanal menu. Sarmice were awesome and tasty and I could it much more than I got 😀 But Teleća bečka šnicla was dry, crispy and absolutely non-eatable , and here are thanks to the wheiter that he proposed not to pay for that dish 👍

Wonderful food and stuff, nice ambient crowded almost all tables were full. That's was a first sign that place must be good. I had "gurmanska pljeskavica", and I was blown away,it was amazing,after that I had some chocolate cake which was also very good! Boss restaurant is not cheap,but it's great! Highly recommended!

We recently dined at this lovely restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The decor was tasteful and elegant, with just the right amount of lighting to create a cozy atmosphere. There is a non-smoking room. The menu offered a great selection of dishes. The flavors were expertly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. We tried Cesar salad, Greek Salad, Mushrooms Soup and Tuna tartar. Everything was great! Really recommend!

We went there for breakfast on two days. There is a very wide selection of breakfast, and breakfast is served until 11 o'clock. The portions are large, the food is tasty and the prices are cheap. They have a very large and pleasant outdoor area where you can dine. The staff speak English. The service is fast and good.

By far the best restaurant in town. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is also great. You can choose from a lot of different cuisines, so the menu is exciting even for regular guests. Make sure to try their desserts after the main course as they are extremely flavorful. Lastly, keep an eye on their seasonal offers as they tend to be just as tasty as the regular items on the menu - their marinated salmon salad was amazing.

Best restaurant in town! We stayed a week in Subotica and ate lunches and diners at this amazing place. I tried a lot of dishes on the menu and everything was really nice. Desserts are stunning. I can only recommend it!
