The National Botanical Conservatory of Brest is a stunning location where visitors can enjoy pleasant walks surrounded by nature, just two minutes from the city. The botanical gardens are dedicated to conserving endangered plant species and feature tropical greenhouses, exhibitions and a shop. Although the tropical greenhouses are only open during summer holidays, this location remains an exquisite place to visit with its relaxing atmosphere and beautiful scenery.
Amazing place for some relaxation and cool time. I love a walk here.

The National Maritime Museum in Brest, located on an imposing medieval fortress overlooking the bay, features a rich naval history and traditions from around the world. The museum has a large collection of model replica ships from French fleets and paintings with maritime themes. Audio guides are available to help navigate through the exhibits.
Oldest Maritime museum in Europe if not the world. Housed within a castle. Only 7euros for adults - excellent value. Good history of the castle and the dock areas in addition to the navy and the different types of ships. Get the audio guide which is free and comes in different languages.

Nice walkthrough, very simple. The audio guide is a nice touch (not necessary though)

I love to visit this types of museum. But found this one quite boring. Short to no signs in English (and only a few in German), you got a audioguide in English, but the guide itself was slow and not always that interesting in my opinion. Many many stairs into spaces and rooms that was sparsely equipped with forced facts. Would not recommend because I feel like you can visit better museums in this region and get more experiences for your time. The personnel was nice. I found no toilets while visiting.

I am fascinated by the current trend to reutilise old industrial facilities. Here in Brest they have gone one better, not only revitalising the massive machine hall but also preserving some of the old machines which worked there. Its a great opportunity to marvel at the technology that fabricated our past. Along side the old there is the new, modern start ups, micro brewery, food hall and coffee bar. The you step out on to the belvedere, a great view and then take a ride in a "ski lift". A place not to be missed.

I will go on, because until you go there you wont believe me ! There are also co-working and start-up's upstairs AND exhibitions ___phew ... Oh, and one last but not least thing ... outside and at mezzanine, there's a huge open area "skatepark" spot surrounded by very stylish ( see photograph ) and modern new appartment blocks... if I had the money I would buy one today ! (Translated by Google) Great building with many opportunities for cultural and other exhibitions and events. On the first floor was an exhibition about the destruction of Brest in World War II by the Allies and the reconstruction of the city in comparison to Dresden. On the ground floor is the gondola that Napoleon used during his visit at the beginning of the 19th century. The cable car also arrives here. And there is a lot of open space with smooth floors where children rode bikes and young people rode skateboards. Since everything is covered, it's easy to stay here even in bad weather. There are several restaurants in the basement. This has been implemented excellently for a new use of the old halls. You should take a look and you can easily reach it with the cable car from the other bank.

The tower is now a museum open to the public, and features items such as artefacts and maps that recount this city's story. Sandaya Escale Saint-Gilles is a 5-star oceanfront campground located in the popular seaside resort of Benodet. Situated on a 9-hectare site just 50 meters from the beach, it offers pitches and mobile homes surrounded by lovely trees and bushes for privacy. The campsite features a remarkable water park with indoor and outdoor pools, a running river, paddling pools, water playgrounds, and slides.
Great location and facilities, everything very easy walking distance. The little train was great if you didn't fancy a walk. The laundrette was very clean and easy to use, the shop very well stocked. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Town a short 20min walk along a designated walking/cycle path. The area was very clean with little to no litter! A great few beaches right by the site. A beautiful area of France 🇫🇷

A lovely campsite. We had a lovely stay there. Great atmosphere. Very clean. Staff all super helpful and kind. One complaint would be the lifeguard monitoring of the water slides. There was never a lifeguard stationed there, with no traffic light system either. At busy times there were children and young people coming down the slides dangerously close to each other, sometimes on top of each other. This really should be better monitored by campsite staff.
Debbie Nic Gabhann — Google review
It's a lovely site with lots of lovely trees and bushes giving the sites privacy and appeal. We were very happy with our caravan, it was confortable inside and out, well stocked and clean. The staff were absolutely great, so friendly and happy to help. Some small gripes - no lamps/ambient lighting (not very relaxing in the evening and no reading light in kids room, adults was harsh cold white - could use it!). The wine glasses were also tiny, not suitable for all the lovely red wine available! However I'd definitely consider other Sandaya sites and book directly next time.
Catherine Cook — Google review
We really enjoyed the site, the accommodation and the swimming pool complex. The one site bar, whist small and of limited choice was lively when we went. The on site entertainment was really good and the staff involved were brilliant. We did have a problem with the noise coming from the sports complex area, which felt like it was constant between 9am and 11pm. The beach was ok, if rather small but this is clearly outside of your control!

Overall a great experience. Modern clean mobile home, the kids had great fun in pool and with entertainment. Very nice location and overall the campsite is very nice. Denis, a great character, became our new best friend, very helpful. Sandaya need to do a few minor things to make it even better, the pool area needs some upgrading, paid wifi was poor and adding card payment options for machines (or make access to cash easier).

Staff were brilliant, pool was amazing. Location is great too with a lovely walk down along the seafront. Very little to fault with our stay. Only negative is the playground, having to cross a road to access prevents young children from accessing safely on their own, making it harder for them to make friends

We had a lovely holiday and loved the position of the site and our plot. We were frustrated to have no hot water on 2 occasions and having to wait until 9 am to report it. The maintenance staff were very quick to respond and very pleasant. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We would have liked a coffee shop/creperie but did find lovely places in the town which is a pleasant seaside stroll away.

We had a great two weeks at Sandaya, the facilities, the location, the animations, everything was really good. The mobile homes were brand new and spotless (even if a little small). The app gave us a lot of information on surroundings and things to do, could also book the kids club etc. if needed and was super easy to use. Our kids spent the whole time in the pool, which was fantastic (animations on sunny days), even when it rained (part of it was covered). The only minus point for smaller kids is the playground; there are only 2 apparatuses and 2 swings for smaller kids to play on. Its in a field with the tennis court, table tennis and beach volleyball (which were really good) and then a big empty space with a lot of sharp stones on the ground, I hope Sandaya have plans for that in the future as it has a lot of potential.

Great campsite. Loads of things to do..pool area excellent. Has covered are with good slides. Entertainment provided throughout the week and in evenings. Restaurants on site are limited but good quality. Poolside cafe slow but good. Mobile home are well equipped and modern. Shop on site has great pastry baked fresh every day. Campsite beside beach, great location

Creperie
The Crêperie des Arcades in Quimper offers a surprising method of accepting payment in cash. The dining experience is enjoyable and the prices are reasonable, providing good value for money. Located near the cathedral, it is worth taking a 5-6 minute walk to this creperie instead of opting for establishments in the touristy town center. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious, especially their homemade salted caramel.
Typically French Crepes lovely Crew 😘 See you in two weeks

Really nice visit. Great hospitality, good recommendations and good prices. If you are in Quimper it's tempting to eat in an establishment near the cathedral, I thoroughly recommend the 5-6 minute walk to Creperie design Arcades. It is far superior.

Really nice creperie, staff are really friendly, food delicious and well worth a visit, 10 mins walk from the usual touristy town centre creperies. We went twice. The home made salted caramel is lovely. Yum.

Tea house
French restaurant
On a random encounter, we were captivated by this truly charming place called The A L Ouest. It is undoubtedly the finest destination for taking a coffee break, having lunch, or indulging in a delightful brunch in Crozon. This little gem offers an array of wonderful findings and is managed by an absolutely lovely proprietor.
Great place, awesome food, coffee/tea and very NICE bilingual owners (English/French). Will definitely be back! PS: I hope they will put the name of the place on the black British cab that is parked outside;-)

The place is tiny, stuffed with things on sale - not only food. So there are only a handful of tables. They basically serve english breakfast. The quality is decent, the prices sky high: 16 euros for a couple of eggs on a small loaf of bread, two strips of bacon, some salad and a small glass of juice.
