Place itself is amazing, BUT ! Avoid weekends definitely !!!! Because is insanely overcrowded, you will have problems to find parking spot, and expect to wait in a long long line more then 1 hour to buy ticket. Once you are on the top ...you will enjoy it definitely

Good easy walk around a lake with turquoise water. The place is nice but looks like it was an artificial spot built for tourism. Overall, nice for a chill weekend walk. A few people come here for fishing. Parking is packed on the weekend.

Nice area to spend your afternoon and walk around the lake. The round tour is best walked counter clockwise so the heaviest part (climb) is done first. Total trip time is 1.5 - 2 hours. Halfway there is a small cabin where you can sit and eat food and drink beers. Local wildlife are visible and a cow or two can be in your way, but they are friendly. If you are lucky around the cabin some Murmeltier (woodchuck) can be heared and seen in the sun (if you are lucky). Parking at the top is 4 euro per day, and a bit lower free for all. Camping is not allowed, and traveling up the dam is recommended to use the elevator since altitude is really high. On the day is a restaurant with a small menu, the service is decent and quickly.

The festival center is good located. Close to railway station and there are a few car parks nearby. The center is open during the day so you can go there before the play and not only take a few shots but you can find your seat instead of looking for it before the play. I was on Madame Butterfly and it was super expirience. I recommend the festivale everyone. I can imagine that every opera played there must be increadable. Still there are a few downsides... Almoste nothing in English including subtitles during the play and informational folders. This festival was inaugurated in 1946 so maybe this is time to make it fully international. If you thing that you will buy e.g. magnet festival logo to put on you fridge - you are wrong. To wrap up... the play and it's organization were very good but there are a few things that can be do better. And I do not know where to gauge Bregenz itself. But, except activities connected with lake or with mountains there is nothing to do and Bregenz is a quite boring. And smoking in public is alowed there (I mean in Austria) and this is something that I cannot understand... Kind of darkages.

Best opera performance I have ever seen. The setting is amazing and very suggestive! Music, acting, singing.. every single thing about the evening was perfect.

Really impressive and interesting building to host a sea theater. The place is big and has an event Centre and a nice seaside sitting. The shows seemed really fun although I didn’t visit during a show. I was told a lot of nice things about the performance. It’s really a nice place to visit. I loved the holidays relaxation atmosphere around the water.

The center is great! I have never seen anything like it! We saw live the stage for Rigoletto, which is the opera presenter there this year. The stager from the previous years are also very impressive! I definitely recommend a visit there if you are near Bregenz!

Beautiful location, with a gorgeous view over the lake, the food is tasty and the portions are big, prices are more than faire, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Totally recommend it!
