Natural mineral water is seeping through rocks and leave carbonate residue on the ground. No any facility, only stalls on the other side of the road. After visiting Pamukkale, Turkey, not so impressed
Looks like out of this world kind of thing. Cool place to make photo with, but nothing interesting otherwise. Good place to stop by, if it is on your way. But might be not worth going specifically for it.

Travertine Mineral Spring, located en route to Tbilisi, is a natural wonder known for its abundant mineral-rich waters. During our journey back to Tbilisi, we had the pleasure of making a stop at this remarkable spring. The highlight of our visit was tasting the sparkling mineral water that flowed from the spring, which was not only refreshing but also packed with essential minerals, notably iron. This natural mineral water is renowned for its potential health benefits, particularly for digestion and overall well-being. Many travelers stop here to enjoy a sip of this therapeutic water. We also made sure to fill a bottle with this revitalizing liquid to savor its unique taste and reap its potential health advantages during the rest of our journey. I had an incredible experience at the natural spring near Jvaripass peak! The sight of the dark yellow area created by the salty water stream flowing from the mountain was truly unique. The salty taste of the water indicated it wasn't for drinking, but the volcanic spring aspect added to the fascination. On the opposite side of the road, I found a small stream producing drinkable water with an iron oxide taste, reminiscent of carbonated water – quite an interesting contrast! The presence of souvenir and craft shops added to the charm of the place. A must-visit for those seeking a one-of-a-kind adventure! 🌋🌊🛍️
I been to this place last friday, i really enjoyed with my family playing with the Snow, we had made our own Snowman, it was really interesting.
Our main issue there thet all the shops and cafés were closed. You need to take your coffee, water and whatever you want with you, grap your camera and and a tripod with a remote control so you can take group pictures.
It was very cold and unfortunately with the hot son the snow became very slippery, so make sure to get a snow and ice attachement for your shoe.
A very nice place, if you have 4x4 go to the top, nice view and you can picnic beside the drinkable river 😋

Don't recommend using the toilets - there are two sets, both are absolutely rank.
Nice for some photos, we didnt drink but heard you can.
Lots of people climb up onto it, so go to the top if you plan to drink i suppose.
Interesting curiosity that can be easily visited near the military road.
It could be nice to add a sign that explains how this geological formation has been created .

A very unique river with 2 colors of stream, as the result of being the meeting point of 2 different river. This river is just a short drive before Ananuri Castle so if you're heading there, you can make a quick stop to admire the river and the surroundings, then of course snap some cool shots. There are few clothes, fruits, and honey vendors by the river side. Make sure you haggle.

Jvari - the masterpiece of architecture, it is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1994. You can see a great panoramic view of two rivers connecting with each other – Aragvi and Mtkvari. They have different colors so you can clearly see the meeting point. This panoramic view is very famous among visitors so do not miss it and take a memorable photo.
The landscape and weather is awesome. The source of the Aragvi lies to the north of Gudauri , from where it flows down. In fact , there are seven rivers that feed the Aragvi on the whole.
What a good place and country to visit and the local people are so welcoming.

I am very sad to inform we have visit Georgia in November which is starting of winter season that time this river water is very low hence we miss this place. If you willing to visit this you have to come on summer season as per our guide.
You can book one day trip from Tibilisi to Kazbegi it will cover this place as well. ( If you like I am recommending starline travels they will arrange group tour to you but make sure you bargain with them we paid only 45 Lari per person in Nov 2019 even though they said 60 Lari 😁 but they will provide good English speaking guides, not recommended Private tours even from them as per previous ratings but I can confirm you group tour will worth of 45 Lari)

Beautiful view, nice place, no tickets needed. Only maybe you will pay 3 - 5 GEL for paid parking. But there are free barking a little far on the road side. There are snacks and juices to spend time there.
I don't know about the monument, but views at that area is mind blowing. It's worth visiting for cool pictures and great memories.

There's a concrete block that's a makeshift toilet with 3 stalls at the lower carpark. 2 GEL to use and is as basic as it gets

Despite the ideology behind this memorial, the views are outstanding and incredibly worth the stop. 360 view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Local shops sell fresh fruits and snacks. Entry is free by the parking fee is cheap and "negotiable".
This place mesmerizes anyone with its panoramic view of the mountains. You will get a totally different scene in winter and summer seasons. In winter, the nearby mountains are covered with thick snow and its difficult to walk towards the monument. On the other hand, lush greenery during the summer season welcomes you. If you get the chance to visit the monument then do visit it in both summer and winter.
Visiting this monument is free, you need to pay 3 Lari for parking. Amazing views of the Caucasian mountains.

The food is great , very well prepared , fresh and tasty (one of the best Harcho soups I had so far)
The prices are fair , and the food is served quickly with a smile.

First day I visit the restaurant I fall in love with the place and the waiters who work there Toko, he is friendly and speaking English very well. We have came twice for the good food and the atmosphere. First time we ordered Georgian bean in Clay & BBQ in second day we tried the fish and kebab. We definitely will visit it again if we come to Georgia.
All was perfect! From food to service! I highly recommend Mr. Vito for his service, he was welcoming and guided us which food is recommended. In addition, when you are in Georgia, it is very seldom that you will find a clean and free toilet, but their restaurant and comfort room was superb when it comes to cleanliness. Shkmeruli is my favorite! If you are in Kazbegi, you gotta visit this restaurant! The staff was indeed helpful and friendly. Service was prompt even though we went there with a group of men on a long table. We went a bit earlier for dinner glad we got a table! It's fully packed!
They also have karaoke and cool interiors with different currencies pinned on the wooden wall. You can also dine outside and enjoy the view and weather. Price is very affordable!

1st of all - very nice service, we were served very quickly, food we ordered came very fast.
It was good, but not the best, we have eaten more tasty Georgian cuisine, but we have nothing to complain about, it was just okay, no wow at all.
Prices are reasonable, for two meals, Georgian bread, one beer and Coke Zero we paid 109 GEL.
The best food we have had in Georgia so far! We got the pastry with the egg, which was delicious, a salad (so fresh) and potato and mushroom in a pot….. soooo good! The staff was very polite and the shop inside is very nice and warm. Recommended :)))
The thing with Kazbegi is that every place has a different view. This restaurant makes you connect with the earth. The food there is very juicy and like what you really are searching for. YUM....

I had a pleasant experience at Cozy Corner restaurant in Kazbegi Stepantsminda. The outdoor garden by the creek added a charming touch to the ambiance. However, the interior and atmosphere inside were rather ordinary. The food was decent but not exceptional, with generous portions. Pricing was reasonable. Was your name Monday afternoon in the month of November. The place was not crowded. The dining inside was permitted but the outdoor area was not open for dining in. I tried pop barbeque which was tasty. The service was not up to the mark. The waiter was a little rude.
Nice venue, beautiful scenery outdoor but not serving outside. I found the maim server a bit (if not very) taugh and rude with aggressive attitude.
Food items were so delayed (although it was just potato) to the extent that we finished our food and asked to have it as a take away and the 1st answer was simply "NO, it's almost done" then accepted to package it for to-go with some attitude mentioning it's not his fault to be delayed.
Didn't find a special item in the menu to go specially for the place, but the outdoor area is super nice.

Good location of the restaurant with ample seating. We placed the order and it took more than 45 to receive our first dish. The Pork Ojakhuri arrived and then the next 2 dishes came after 20 mins. The chicken kebabs were good and the chicken BBQ was bland.
The place is nice, service is slow and the wait times are painful.
The server was very polite and efficient. Good Georgian staples, prices are a tiny bit higher than other restaurants, but not out of the ordinary for a tourist destination area.

The chicken bbq was the highlight of our order and the khachupuri. The only comment I have is that the soup should have less sauce.

Located at the main road of the village, with a big terrace overlooking the trinity church and the mountain behind.
As you might know that this road is a main trade road between russia and europe, expect dozens of big trucks to pass every minute! (It is not a quite location)
2- hospitality/food:
We were met and greeted by the staff, friendly and helpful, the WIFI was not working but they rebooted the router... still not working
Green salad was okay, not very tasty, we ordered the trout and the pork bbq, not the best food in town tho
Price is okay, within the range of the restaurants in the area

The best food I had in Kazbegi. We ordered the fried chicken with garlic sauce and chicken ojakhuri with a side of rice. The food was very tasty with decent portions. The waitress was very friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant was cosy and inviting with authentic and thoughtfully designed interior. The indoor area is very instgrammable 😄 A must experience in Kazbegi.

I actually thought they wanted us to taste it before giving us our real glass. Georgian hospitality is well known and has been wonderful everywhere we have gone. But definitely not here. It’s a must skip for me.
Beautiful cafe with nice outdoor seating are and great views. However they were somehow completely out of milk (at 3pm), and the bathroom was out of toilet paper. The server was also very brusk. The brownie and americano I got were very good though.

This restorant has the best food I’ve eat in Georgia. Nowhere in Batumi or Tbilisi have this kind of quality in cheese and dough. Everything we have here has very unique and superb taste, even the place is not looking fancy or chick. If you visit Mtskheta, you should definitely eat here. Plus it has a very reasonable price.

Service was great! We went there for breakfast since most places around the area are closed in the morning. Would have been nice for them to have separate breakfast options, but food still was great.
On the day that we have been to the Café (end of april), the terrace was only open, the waitress was nice, but did not speak any rudimental English and almost everything that we wanted to order from the menue was not available to order. I think usually it is a really nice Café, but on this day it did not showed itself from the best side. I really liked the interior decoration, the sunny terrace, the crockery and cups and the clean toilet with the birdsounds!

Great meat place. We tried barbecue pork and lamb, both incredibly juicy and tasty. Pork dish with potato is nice as usual. Lamb soup and chicken soup also very nice. Bought a bottle of draft house red wine(semi-sweet) for 35Gel.

The food was very bland and we had to add salt and a spicy dip across all dishes. The bigger letdown was the attitude of the waiter who looked angry for some reason. The overall ambience was decent but service needs some serious introspection.

To start.. the restaurant looked nice....stylish, until they presented us with photocopies of the menu staples together. This was norm as the waitress told me they don't have a book menu. They are being cheap.
We (2) purchased Lamb Chakapuli, Pork Ojakhuri ( with potatoes), and Georgian salad with walnuts.
The lamb was ok.
The pork meal had 5 small pieces of meat as the meal was made of 90% potatoes! Ok, I'm convinced they ran out of seasoning and the salt 🧂 and pepper 🌶 on the table did not help. I gave up after eating 3/5 pieces.. my dinner mate finished the rest.
The two meals were received 10 mins apart 😒
Unfortunately rice was not included and had to be purchased!!!

We went there by recommendation of guest house owner. The food was quite bland to our taste so if you like something with light flavors and less spices, you might like it here. Overall atmosphere is more like you come, sit, order, eat and leave. Nothing more.

House white wine - quite cold but didn’t wow me
Georgian beans - on the thick side. If you like thick beans, this is for you. We had tried a couple of them in different restaurants so it depends if you like thick, thin or mixed textures. We were kinda like it here.
Grilled trout - fresh trout & nice with a few squeezes of lemon juice. Good portion for 1 or 2 to share.
Pork ojakhuri - we loved it. Crispy pork with crispy potato skins.
Bread - served at room temperature
We had dinner in Khevi on Sunday, while most of other restaurants were closed. Seems like they are using this fact to allow themselves to maintain sub par service. Tge attitude of the waiter was as if he is doing us a favor.
Most of the menu was unavailable, so we'd settled for pork ojakhuri. Potatoes were nice, and the seasoning was good, but pork meat was overcooked and dry.
In the end of our dinner we'd asked the waiter to pack tge leftovers, and he just threw a box abd a bag at our table.

I will never forget that when we were looking around whilst hunger, an old gentleman opened the door and said 'my heart is always open'. In addition to the quality of food, the owner himself is also a main reason for us to revisit this restaurant. He is nice and talkative, sitting behind his table and chatting with his customers. The homemade chacha is most impressive. This is definitely the best chacha that I have tasted in my three visits to Georgia. It tastes quite different from chacha you may taste in Tbilisi, with a special favour of oak and walnut. During our short stay in Kazbegi, we visited this restaurant twice. We will definitely come back in the future.
Very tasty food and suuuper nice owner that is always joking and creating pleasant atmosphere. We were celebrating here after hiking Mount Kazbek till late hours and the owner was very patient with us and even light up his light in car when there was an electricity break.
Terrible food and service. It’s a small family run joint so we expected service to be slow, but the owner was generally very rude to both us and other customers. The food itself was tasteless - no flavour on the kebab, barely any meat inside the khinkali, not fresh vegetables. The tables and kitchen did not look clean or hygienic.
This restaurant does indeed offer good food, so don't be put off by its name! We ordered Georgian salad, chicken barbecue, and adjarian khachapuri. The owner was extremely kind, and all the food was delicious. A great Georgian lunch in Stepantsminda after hiking!
We had our best dining experience of our 5 days of Tblisi & Kazbegi trip arit Kazbegi Good Food. The owner is very welcoming and talked at our native language (Turkish) with us as well as English where necessary. The khachapuri (closed with cheese in it), kufta and lamb kebab were very delicious. Loved everything a lot.
The friendliest owner. Food was amazing and they had loads of vegan options. They even veganised some non vegan Georgian dishes.

It would be amazing to share a photo of the food but it was so tasty that it didn't make it... try the Ostri, sauce is thick, delicious, spicy and the meat is so carefully selected that you enjoy every single bite of it. On top, service is incredibly fast, no longer than 10 min and you have in your table main dish, wine and bread, if you are dying after a long hiking come here and you'll revive instantly
The place is kinda hidden But it amplifies the home alike feeling and hospitality. You can basically see to the kitchen. Place is small but cosy. Good options are big and u have menu with pictures to help you out. The hair was super friendly and welcoming. He speaks lot of languages mostly Slavic so that was fun. Food was fairly good, the fries were amazing. Don’t leave without having wine. We even got some samples of different one for free.

Greatest hachapuri I've ever eaten. Service man (owner?) speaks all the languages, at least a little bit. It's cheap as well. And the house wine they serve here is premium. Been here for 2 days and had 3 meals here.

Good homely Georgian food. Worth trying ! Tried Kachpuri with cheese and egg, Chicken rice . This is family run joint, expect the serve accordingly. The owner/server would present each dish with a musical intro-note - "ta dda" 😋
The vegan options are not many but they are really tastfull! The staff is very helpful and polite. It was difficult to find and we thought that was closed. However, I tried to open the door and I was surprised that it was open. The space is small but creates a nice and friendly atmosphere. Definitely I would go again.

This place is a hidden gem. It may not look that sophisticated from the outside, but man, the atmosphere is amazing. The owner is super friendly with amazing English and surprisingly Polish! The food is delicious. We had an amazing shashlik, the bread was still warm! And the wine… oh so wonderful. Highly recommended
