Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve

Mentioned on
Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve is a vast 3,500-acre park in Southwestern Florida that offers a diverse range of wildlife and wetland attractions. Visitors can explore the park's expansive wetlands through boardwalk trails and observe an array of fascinating creatures including turtles, otters, alligators, and birds. Additionally, the preserve features a butterfly garden and an interpretive center where visitors can learn more about the flora and fauna that inhabit the area.
Beautiful piece of heaven on earth. If you need a place to unwind from all the busyness of life this is the place to be. Enjoy a walk through this natural habitat with a perfect boardwalk hike. Definitely for all ages from the youngest learning about plants/animals to seniors appreciating the peacefulness of the area. Go, spend some time and relax before returning to life outside the gates. You need it…believe me.

This place is so beautiful. Every time you come you find something new. It’s so quiet and peaceful there are reading spots and overlooks with a view. I have seen baby gators, owls, snakes and so many other cool things. There aren’t any bugs and the canopy of the trees keeps you shaded and comfortable. The best place for a scenic walk with friends/family!
Nikki Musella — Google review
Free entry. $1 an hour to park. Very much worth the stop! Its a walk along a boardwalk through the Cypress slough. The preserve staff was very informative. We seen lots of wildlife, including an alligator and many birds.

Great place to visit, we were leaving the hotel to go to the airport and had a couple hours to burn. A little research brought me to 6 mile Cypress Slough. Once you arrive you park and pay $1 per hour, we did 2 hours. Its a beautiful walk along about 1.3 miles of boardwalk wandering through a marshy cypress forest. I can't explain how beautiful it was, you really need to see it for yourself if you are nature enthusiastic. We went in April and was quite wet as the host David stated. If you are lucky you will spot alot of wildlife. Once you get through the trail, head to the interpretation center which is a little museum and gift shop. Tip: there's also bathroom in the museum And also one by the trail entrance. Great way to end a very beautiful weekend at fort Myers Beach!

A scenic hike for all ages! The elevated walkway makes this hiking trail available for everyone. Strollers wheelchairs and fast walkers alike. Six Mike Cypress Slough offers many shaded viewing areas with benches for wildlife viewing as well as resting. Keep your binoculars handy for seeking out the hidden wildlife. Gators, birds, turtles and a few quick glimpses of otters were the attractions on this visit. The peaceful quiet of the area aids in the comfort of the wildlife that almost pose for their pictures. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for a hike the entire family can enjoy.

This is an AMAZING place to visit. While surrounded by city life, it is hidden away enough to where you really feel detached from society. When you enter, it feels like you're walking through a different world entirely. If you go late afternoon or early morning, you will see an abundance of wildlife. Herons, alligators, owls, and so much more have been seen here. I hope you visit and get the chance to see the life that existed before humans settled the area!

Boardwalk is great. So well maintained. Loved it. Great for everyone. Birdwatchers, families, those just wanting to take a nature walk. Bring your camera or just make sure your phone is charged. Take some great photos. It's a slice of Florida at its best.
Americo Menendez — Google review
Beautiful little hiking trail that lasts about 30 minutes for good paced walking. Lots of mini gators! gorgeous herons, and many other birds in their natural habitat. Quiet and peaceful to say the least. Only $1 for parking for a great activity that not only that exerts energy, but gets you (and the kids!) to have a great hands on learning experience in biology!
Allison Degnan — Google review
Went with my family, which included 3 kids ages 4-9. The 1.2 mile walk took about 2 hours because of stops at different areas to see wildlife and points of interest. We all had a great time. I recommend it for 2 to 3 hours outside in a swamp environment where you can stretch your legs, give the kids some exercise and teach them something about nature, and if you're lucky see a snake and baby alligator (and maybe mama) in a safe manner on an elevated boardwalk.
MICHAEL MAZZARINO — Google review
Such a beautiful park that is well maintained and has such diverse wildlife. The boardwalk is exquisite. NO DOGS! Parking is $1/hour or $5/day, but I don't know if it's monitored. Lots of tables and benches. Lots of available parking when I went (mid day on a Wednesday), but could see how parking may be limited during peak times. They do have restroom facilities, but they appeared to be under construction when I was there (April 2022). They did have porta-potties that seemed to be well maintained. There are also guided tours, which we didn't attend, and an interpreter center, which we didn't check out. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Catelin Robinson Millhouse — Google review
Just pay for parking. It’s a unique environment for a hike. I didn’t notice any bug’s biting and I spent about 90 minutes walking the boardwalks after a quick rain shower. It wasn’t overly crowded and I was able to take my time and read the informational boards about the local wildlife and plants.

My cousins (Edna and Jo) took me to this hidden gem which provides a picturesque setting for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. As you enter Six Mile Cypress, you are immediately greeted by a lush canopy of towering cypress trees, creating a soothing and inviting ambiance. The well-maintained trails wind through the preserve, guiding you on a peaceful journey through the natural beauty of Southwest Florida. The diverse ecosystem within Six Mile Cypress is a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Throughout our visit, we encountered a variety of bird species, including herons, egrets, and ospreys, gracefully soaring overhead or perched along the water's edge. The preserve is also home to turtles, alligators, 🐊 snake 🐍 and other native wildlife, offering ample opportunities for observing and appreciating nature up close
Leosheen Kallarakkal — Google review
It was a fun time for minimal cost. In fact, the only cost is the parking, which is $1 per hour. They have an elaborate boardwalk that leads around the grounds and offers varying nature and wildlife viewing. Fun for all ages.
Andy Galles — Google review
Wow, what a beautiful preserve! The whole park is very clean and well kept up after, and they have a beautiful trail that takes you by many different ponds with lots of opportunities to see all the amazing wildlife. They have alligator, turtles, otters and so many cool birds just to name a few of the critters you might see. If you haven’t checked this place out, or you are thinking about it, you should. It’s well worth it.
Nikki Correa — Google review
Great place for an easy walk all on a boardwalk and to see some beautiful natural sites. Just over 1 mile if you walk the whole trail. Parking is a dollar an hour. The lots fills up by 10 am during high season, and the boardwalk gets busy. Try to get there early. Saw lots of birds and an otter. Staff is very friendly.
Mike s — Google review
Such a great place for a walk with family to enjoy nature. There is a shorter trail and a longer one so if you want to take a short cut you can. The entire path is on a boardwalk with railings. There are plenty of benches and lookout points. Parking is by meter and there are picnic tables and a public restroom at the entrance.
Paula Bonna travels — Google review
Went for a walk, while I didn't see too many birds, those with keener eyes saw ten species (!). Lots of pretty fauna to take pictures of. Also, there was a presentation on gators and crocodiles that was very interesting! We learned a lot and it was a lot of fun.
Jacob Cassagnol — Google review
We had a great time hiking and pícnicing at the preserve. Highlight was seeing an alligator come up on the dock to get some sun! Saw lots of birds, turtles and tropical plants. What a great fun FREE activity to do with kids! Only cost was parking.
Diane Kuhn — Google review
Slough has very nice walking paths..elevated & wooden. A lot of shade, so it's still doable on a hot day. We only saw birds..no gators, otters or other unique wildlife, but still a nice walk. Would recommend taking bug spray.
Kim — Google review
Nestled within the embrace of Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, the journey along its wooden paths is a serene odyssey into the heart of untouched nature. Pronounced as "slew," this haven unveils the secrets of a thriving ecosystem, a symphony of life woven through lush greenery and gentle whispers of wildlife. As one ambles through this sanctuary for about two miles, time takes on a tranquil rhythm, offering a therapeutic respite from the bustling world. Immersing oneself in this serene ambiance requires a mindful embrace of the surrounding. To be in harmony with this sanctuary is to walk gently, to listen intently, and to savor every moment as nature reveals its unspoken wonders.
Sahadev Poudel — Google review
I love coming here to get my mind off the mundane routine of it all. There's always parking and you never have to worry about overcrowding. Theres a variety of wildlife that you can get excited about. It's mostly birds, insects, and reptiles. So, if that excited you, even better! Overall, it's a great please to walk an easy path for a couple of dollars ( parking) and to see some interesting scenery.
Chas Mongiovi — Google review
This spot is a photography enthusiast's dream – one of my absolute favorites! Nestled on the prestigious Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, it offers regular sightings of alligators, a diverse array of wading birds and songbirds, not to mention a captivating mix of snakes and flora. Every visit promises a thrilling adventure as you explore the enchanting wonders of this nature boardwalk!

Beautiful natural piece of Cypress slew that contains a plethora of episiotic plants, lichens, Wild birds, turtles, gators, lizards, butterflies, fish, and much more to see if you are quiet and wait patiently. The boardwalks are well maintained and the Lookouts are volume is so that your party and others have the space to look out across the ponds and enjoy the scenery. Great facility that offers indoor and outdoor bathrooms and a visitor center with information.

This preserve is wonderful! A 1.2 mile loop that is teeming with life, right near the action! Did not see any alligators but saw turtles, herons, wood ducks, anhinga. Only pay for parking & donations are asked for (and well deserved!).
Patrick Shaw — Google review
Wonderful time! Last experience before we headed to the airport to head back north (to the cold) and it did not disappoint. Lovely boardwalk path through the slough (pronounced slew per the very kind and informative greeter/guide) the kids loved the scavenger hunt and small prize they won. No alligator sightings but plenty of other wildlife with birds, fish, snakes, turtles, lizards, plant life etc.
Leila Winther — Google review
Fun, easy walk around the boardwalk. On a day where it isn't hot it's nice. We didn't see a ton of wildlife, but the walk through the woods is still nice. The only expense is $1 per hour parking.
Lane Stevenson — Google review
I was looking for something to do while I waited to catch a flight back home. I googled parks near the airport and discovered this nature gem within 20 minutes of the airport. Parking is $1 per hour or $5 for a day pass. Unless you like to sit, listen, and watch, 2 hours is more than enough here. The boardwalk trail was easy to adventure. The paths are clearly marked with guide markers for you to know your where abouts. Photographers were capturing sneak pics of an owl. Alligators can be seen if you've got an eye for wildlife. Birds chirping and fish splashing are the sounds that fill this swampy trail. The trail is a short distanced trail, so no worries, it's not an overhaul hike that will leave you exhausted. Take a stroll if you have no fear, and you'll be surprised at what you spy with your little eyes 👀.

Nature & Parks
Lakes Park is an impressive park that offers a variety of activities suitable for all individuals. The park boasts of a freshwater lake that provides fishing opportunities, as well as bike and boat rentals for those interested. There are scenic trails perfect for nature walks, and numerous picnic spots available to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, Lakes Park has a botanical garden, playgrounds, train rides, kayaking facilities and more! The whole park is stunningly beautiful with ample parking available at a fee.
This park is AMAZING! It literally has everything for everyone and is HUGE! Great for nature walks on the trails around the entire park. Playgrounds are super nice and don’t forget to take your little one for a ride on the small train. We had a great time and couldn’t possibly get to it all so we’re planning on going back soon!
Elizabeth Claunch — Google review
I love the variety of things this park offers. It has a small train museum with gift shop, a mile long mini train ride, walking with mother nature (and a bike trail I still have yet to walk), 2 small water parks/play area (1 currently under construction), 2 playgrounds (1 under construction), wide open spaces (for sports, parties, or whatever you can imagine), small lake for fishing or paddle board or those boats you pedal (self propelled), AND a Children's Garden with a Community Growing Garden. It's a $5 parking fee for all day, which helps develop and maintain the park but it is worth it. Train rides are $5/person, children under 3 are free, or buy a pass like me for $45 for 13 rides. It's a beautiful place for kids and adults. You can rent the boats and family bikes. I believe prices are reasonable starting at single riders (2 people) for $20, I saw the sign didn't really rent one yet. And during the holidays there's events with multitudes of other things to do. We can definitely spend all day there and never be bored.

Went here to do some walking with mom. Beautiful morning to get out, and it's a pretty park. There are some areas in the shade towards the back, but it's mostly in the sun now, thanks to past hurricanes. We walked about 2 miles, but also a great area to ride your bike around safely. Great area for the kids, there's a community garden and a children's garden, water play area for kids and pavilions for parties. It's $1 an hour to park or $5 for the day. Beautiful grounds to enjoy a walk.

Beautiful area! There are beautiful trails here. People are enjoying themselves all around. They have trails, a botanical garden, kayaking, fishing, playground, lake, train rides, bike rentals, and more! The whole park is beautiful. There is plenty of parking - need to pay to park. Enjoy! 🌴

Had a great time at this park. This was our first time here and I can't wait to go back! There's something for everyone to do here. The ice cream was delicious and we loved walking the trails. They had bicycles and boats you can rent. The splash pads weren't working due to the hurricane, but we are looking forward to when they get it fixed. The bathrooms were accessible and well kept. There are gardens there you can walk through. Unfortunately, we did not do that but will definitely do that next time we go!

Great find. Went here in late February. Our two year old loved the playground, the train ride, and his front seat on our surrey rental. Decent snack shop with hot food and ice cream. Beautiful lake to pedal or hike around. The train museum was a neat detour from the outdoor fun. Would recommend.

Lakes Park is a great place for families. We rented a Surrey and rode around the paved trails. It was a fun time and a good workout!
Christopher McDaniel — Google review
This park has something for everyone! I took my toddler grandson and we rode the little train which takes you through the park passing by miniature towns, over little bridges and water. The whistle blows and conductor was great and enthusiastic. Then to the snack bar for a treat and drink. There’s a real train on display, the engine. Lots of great playgrounds, one train themed, splash pads, walking/running paved paths, swings, restrooms and more. Also a great kids area and garden to explore. A perfect morning of fun and exercise in the great SWFL area! We’ll be back!
Dee Keywood — Google review
This park is great. The county could do better at concessions. Sadly the swan boats cost more per hour than a real boat. The maintenance people need improvement on social skills. My favorite part of this park is the train ticket staff and museum staff. In particular the member named Vickie was very kind to my wondering twins. Definitely a must visit. Maybe in the near future they will make a pet friendly area. Parking fee is not enforced..!?
J R — Google review
I’m sorry to leave a negative review. We always enjoyed this place. Today I called to the park at 10.30’am to be sure the train rides and the museum were working. It rained but when we arrived before 1 pm the sun was shining again. We traveled 45 minutes and everything is closed. The lady assured me it was open until 2 pm. This is unfair and not justified.

Enjoyed a good day at Lakes Park biking with friends. The trails are nicely maintained and the scenery around the lake is quite pleasant. It’s a peaceful place for a casual outing and the biking paths are decent for a relaxed ride. It’s a decent spot for group activities or just to enjoy a bit of nature. Would recommend for a low-key day out. Wednesdays they have a farmers market that’s excellent to come back for!
Reina Dolgovykh — Google review
It is a beautiful place to spend the day with family, friends or even by yourself. You can go walking biking or rent pedal boats in the lake. Great for parties playing soccer or any outdoor activities. Do not miss the trait ride! It is a must for me. So cute and fun!!!!!
Llilian Vazquez — Google review
Great walking park, with different trail options! Beautiful water areas, and the bridge walking path is lovely. Lots to see. And two playgrounds, one on either side of the bridge area. Must be good for bird watching, because a lot of people were out with binoculars. Also must be decent fishing because there were a number of fishers out. Could see tilapia, bass, and minnows in the water. Lots of people on a weekday, so I can't imagine what the weekends are like when it's nice out! The playgrounds are perfect for kids! And it's right next to the railroad museum, so you can stop there after with kids and pay $5 for a 15 minute ride! The farmers market here on Wednesday was also impressive! But very busy! Good luck finding a parking spot when it's busy 😅
Tara — Google review
My kids had a really good entire day in here. The place has a big playground area, very well maintained. We also went to the train museum and got into the train ride 2 times, is really a good experience, at the time each ticket cost $5, kids less than 5 years ride free. This ride is awarded in Christmas when they have a light show and so in hallowing. The park is huge, another part the kids enjoyed was getting in the inflatables area, 5 different inflatables, this cost $12 per children and last the entire day, bit overpriced for me, but kids loved. We had rapid foot in the cafeteria just across the museum, we had chicken tenders, fries and ice cream, the area for eat is outside next to the lake, awesome views but, be AWARE of the birds around, they pup in my kids fries 🥴. The park also have place to rent bikes and enjoy the ride with the entire family, you could walk if you prefer, you will see a lot of birds, turtles and fishes in the lake, never saw an alligator but you never know 😉. We stay from 11am to 3:30pm, and I’m really glad came here with the kids. I will recommend to others parents around.

Really nice park with so many different activities. Anything from a fitness trail with stations for pull ups, sit ups, etc. A shorter hiking trail with opportunities to see many birds, turtles, etc. Lakes for fishing. A narrow gauge train ride, and play grounds for the kids.
Thomas G — Google review
Gorgeous park with 2 playgrounds. Train rides for kids, if you want to do it as a 3-6 person family more then once by the 13 ticket pack. Park is $5 for full day or $1 per hour. There is a small food stand that makes burgers hot dogs and chicken fingers with fries. 2 spots to grab ice cream or rent bikes. Splash pad won't be open until probably the summer 2024. Great park!

Lakes Park is a breathtaking oasis, inviting you to immerse yourself in its natural wonders. As you stroll along its enchanting walking path, vibrant wading birds grace the scene, painting the air with a kaleidoscope of colors. Keep an eye out for the occasional alligator, adding a touch of wild excitement to your journey. Feel the thrill of adventure as you explore Lakes Park by renting a rickshaw, pedaling through its scenic trails on a bike, or cruising its serene waters in a boat. The options are as diverse as the park itself, promising an exhilarating escape bathed in Florida's glorious sunshine.

Siesta Key Rum

In Siesta Village, Florida, the distillery Siesta Key Rum produces its own rum from start to finish. This is a great place to learn about how rum is made and enjoy samples along the way. The tours are free and there are often special offers available.
Top notch. Spiced rum is my favorite. Coffee, coconut, silver, spiced...all are great. Make an easy "Skinny-Colada" with toasted coconut and pineapple juice. Throw a shot of spiced in there for my version (in addition to the coconut). Take the tour!!! Taste the samples! The history is fascinating! Make vanilla extract from the silver or spiced rum. - Nothing negative here except hard to find in Alabama. *Update - Recently updated to new bottles and are moving into different sizes. Both old and new bottles seen in my pictures.

Great way to start a roadtrip to Sarasota! The workers were friendly, knowledgeable, and good hosts; the tour was fun and to the point, and the rums tasted so good... I recommend the coffee and coconut flakes flavors. We'll come back to get the different rum cake versions!
Alejandro Barreda — Google review
I decided to do this while on vacation as it was recommended by family. I had fun as it was cool to experience different kinds of rum and learning how Rum was made. I was expecting more of a tour more it's more of a sit down, drink, and learn sort of tour, but overall, it was a lot of fun! I loved the decorations all around the area and the souvenirs. I ended up getting a cup and coffee Rum cake (wish I could get some mailed to me). 😄 I also enjoyed that there were no children, which made the experience 10 times better. The employees (forgot their names, I apologize) were very friendly and very informative. I definitely recommend this place if you're up for some fun and a neat experience, and the best part is it's free to have fun here. Go for it! You won't be disappointed. 😄

Stopped in for another tour/tasting with which may be our favorite Rum distiller. Very informative history and amazing spirits. We reviewed their coconut rum and spiced rums on our Spirit'ed Wrenchers YT channel if you haven't had the chance to try them yet. It's must visit/taste/buy.

Siesta Key Rum offers a very informarive tour - a unique rum factory! We enjoyed this very much and are very glad we looked at the website and booked a tour! If you have a liking for rum, or not, you would like this. Their four rums they sell are excellent!!! Best to have a driver that does not care for rum or liquor (hmmm??) that way you could enjoy maybe an extra tasting or two!!

Another free adventure! The ample parking is free, the tour is free, and the rum sampling is free. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The tour was a hoot. They have a small gift shop where you can purchase gifts as well as their rum. You will need to sample the Siesta Key Toasted Coconut Rum, it is the BEST!
Dr. Carole Gadomski — Google review
As a rum drinker, I have a discerning taste and have been to many distilleries. This was by far the best to which I've been or tasted! They use all natural ingredients instead of "flavorings" so the result is a smooth, delicious, flavorful product. The tour was about 30-40 minutes and really went into how the products were started, made, and bottled or barreled. The team was funny, friendly and extremely knowledgeable so made it fun and so interesting. If you are local and never been or visiting, this is definitely a visit and tour you need to take. BTW, at the bar, you got to try their infused drinks... the Butterbeer was by far the most delicious drink I've ever had!!!

I love this place, the staff, the spirits, the tour. Everyone needs to do the tour and frequent the tasting room. The entire line of rum is amazing but the toasted coconut is my favorite. They offer RIPE all natural mixers from CT. Very hard to find but the best mixers available. Support local and never buy a non Florida made rum again!!!!

This is a fantastic way to spend an hour or so. Our tour guide was awesome at explaining the history of Siesta Key rum and rum making process. Today was day 1 of their on location tasting room bar and it was awesome. Everyone here is super friendly, like family.
Kevun Kohl — Google review
First of all the rum is delicious. We bought two bottles, the distillers reserve and the coconut. I’ve been to several craft distilleries that just really didn’t make very good stuff, this was the exception, the rum is fantastic. They use all natural ingredients for their flavoring, actual coffee, real spices, and actual coconut. Great tour. Somewhat entertaining even with the dad jokes, but informative. You can buy cocktails on site, free tasting, of course, you can buy swag, rum, glasses, rum, cake. The directions on GPS navigation brought us essentially to the opposite side of the building where the entry is. Industrial Drive makes a big loop so the address was a little confusing. I edited the pin on Google maps today so hopefully that will make it easier.

Great experience! I have been to alot of distillery tours. This is one of the most educational and loved all the samples! There is also the oldest bar in FL inside which is an amazing hangout spot. The staff are all amazing and very friendly. They definitely know their rum! We will be back and this is by far my favorite rum!

This is the first place in awhile that I’ve gone and not been charged for a tasting. They have a bar in the back where you can order mixed drinks. All staff members were very friendly and open to answering our questions. There is a tour however we missed that. They do close at 5pm. This is run by a group of retired friends so the hours are limited and the rum is very good!

Sarasota National Cemetery is a well-maintained military cemetery with beautiful displays of headstones decorated during Christmas time. The community shows their love and respect for those who have served by honoring them in various ways. Visitors can witness the amazing exhibits and appreciate the effort put into decorating each headstone to honor those who have passed on. It is a must-visit place for anyone in the area looking to pay their respects to fallen heroes.
This National Cemetery has the most amazing volunteers. I have had problems with local florists not confirming delivery to my brothers grave site. Florists will not provide photo of arrangement and have delivered to the wrong plot on occasion. The cemetery is filled with kind volunteers who have sent me photo confirmation of delivery. My brother is buried in Florida and I’m in RI so there is no other way to know whether flowers made it to his site. I’m so grateful for the cemetery volunteers, their compassion, and willingness to help families of the deceased. Such a blessing 🙏

The cemetery is beautiful and it was an honor to bury my parents there. The communications are lacking however. I was originally told it would take about seven days for plaque for the niche on columbarium. Then told up to sixty days. I was told I would be notified by email when it was done. Never received one. Had to drive there to see it. I called and asked about it. The woman had no idea and told me someone would call me back. That was a week ago. No call.

The price for your freedom....those willing to serve. Placing a coin on headstones of a service member is a show of respect as well as letting the deceased service member's family know someone was there. The denomination of the coins each have a distinct and significant meaning. 295 acres along State Road 72, Sarasota County.

I had the honor to be apart of placing flags on the graves for Veterans Day. It was a wonderful experience. The grounds were kept Immaculate. There were people set up with tables and books around the grounds so that you could find your family or loved one easily I looked up several people that I knew and was very easy for me to find them once I knew where to go.

This is a beautiful well kept Cemetery. My grandmothers headstone was not up yet and she still had a reef for Christmas with her marker. It melted my heart all the wonderful people that brought and took their time to decorate the headstones for Christmas. I went to take her marker some flowers, it was a lovely surprise. I know they hold this event but I didn't expect it because her headstone was not up yet. I would suggest anyone in the area to go around and look at all the displays and the many beautiful ways the National Cemetery honors those who have served. Especially around Christmas time it is amazing to see how much love is put in by the local community gives to our loved ones that have passed on.

Botanical garden
If you're looking for a botanical oasis in the heart of Sarasota, look no further than Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. This downtown campus features 15 acres of lush tropical plants, making it the only such garden on the planet devoted to epiphytic plants. Highlights include an orchid garden and a rainforest for children.
This place is a gem. Low key, like the rest of Sarasota, but there is a lot of heart in their staging. The variety of plants is wonderful, but the arrangement of scenes and sitting benches is inspired. Many great places to sit and reflect or read. Restaurant has lots of yummy choices, and today there was a food truck, too. Docents are very helpful and engaging. Mapplethorpe show was well done, and helped rehabilitate him for me.

Beautiful & peaceful. Easily accessible. Has a great kids area! We were there at the end of April when had a Tiffany collection display; lamps & vases were so neat to see. There were large artist creations, like Tiffany, through out the garden. We spent 5 hrs enjoying this great place! The water view was incredible. Volunteers were friendly & helpful!

Very nice botanical garden, definitely worth a visit. They have some epiphytes I have not seen in other botanical gardens. You can spend about 3 hours there and see everything in depth. They have free parking and it is 26 bucks a person. There are good ocean views and good walking trails. The mansion houses a mask exhibit and when I went they were auctioning the masks. The workers are very ready to answer questions and look like they are enjoying themselves.

Selby Gardens is a fantastic botanical jewel. En extremely interesting venue that has options for every nature lover. Winding paths with banyon and other trees overhead, colorful flowering plants, exhibits, a tropical greenhouse, fantastic vistas and so much more. There's a children's play area (more like a huge tree house city) that is elevated and has interactive exhibits that frankly, adults can enjoy as well. Selby Gardens also has several restaurants to dine in. The Orchid is very good, but know that it's expensive and may not be your best option for your dollar. If you're Sarasota and looking for a location to spend a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon at, check this place out.

Beautiful gardens of all different types with beautiful trails right on the Sarasota Bay. Had multiple bathrooms with easy access and all different places to explore. Cute little gift shop full of nice souvenirs Only trouble was parking as they are doing construction and the parking lot was fenced off and rock. My first time going and it was great! Beautiful!

What a delightful place to visit, brought my mom with me and when I asked if teachers got a discount, the person working the counter was eager and happy to tell us that teachers are free. They had free valet parking due to construction in their typical parking area, I had a little snack and a drink at the café. Although it was 93° out the breeze from off the water and the shaded areas provide much comfort from the heat. I was a little disappointed to find the greenhouse was closed, even though I had looked on the website I did not know this in advance. But I enjoyed it so much I’ll definitely make the two hour trip to visit again.

Fun day at the gardens with the family. Lots of really fun things to see if you like plants! Kids might have a bit of a tough time here but they still had a good time and enjoyed the koi fish pond. The butterfly gardens were also neat to see. Definitely recommend an afternoon here.

Absolutely beautiful. There are so many plants to explore. Tiffany exhibit was educational and beautiful. Property is huge so wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. On the water, so the breeze is appreciated. Different places to sit and take a moment to soak it all it. You can purchase food and drinks on the property in the adorable house cafe. Seating inside if you need to cool off and plenty outside. A very peaceful relaxing time ❣️

The garden is nice but quite a bit of mosquitoes and bugs. My arms and legs got bitten even with spread on. Most of the volunteers were very nice and friendly. The Garden's cafe Michael's was a surprise with excellent sandwiches and choices.

Attending Matt and Maggie Dorn's wedding at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota was an unforgettable experience. The venue, a picturesque garden overlooking tranquil waters, was breathtaking, especially as the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The atmosphere was magical, almost surreal, and Annemarie and I were spellbound by the beauty of it all. The ceremony itself was intimate and heartfelt, with every detail meticulously planned. Matt and Maggie, surrounded by the love of their family and friends, exchanged vows against the backdrop of the setting sun, making the moment even more special. The air was filled with emotions, joy, and laughter, creating an ambiance of pure happiness. As the evening progressed, the celebration moved into a beautifully decorated area, where tables were adorned with elegant centerpieces and soft, ambient lighting. The dinner was a culinary delight, each dish more exquisite than the last, complementing the upscale yet intimate theme of the wedding. The music was a perfect blend of classic and contemporary, setting the tone for a night of dancing and merriment. Annemarie and I shared dances under the starlit sky, the melodies creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. We chatted with old friends and made new ones, reveling in the joyous occasion. The entire night was unlike anything we had ever experienced. The combination of the stunning setting, the delicious food, the wonderful music, and the great company made it a truly epic celebration. It was a night to remember, not just for Matt and Maggie, but for every guest who had the privilege of being a part of their special day.

I was thrilled to return to Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens long absence of 10 years. This place held a special significance for me and my husband as it was where he proposed to me. We were filled with excitement as we embarked on this journey down memory lane. To our delight, we discovered that the garden had undergone significant transformations and welcomed several remarkable additions to its property. The abundance of beautiful plants and trees was a sight to behold. The meticulous care and attention to detail were evident in every corner of the garden. One particular highlight was the introduction of stunning boardwalks that enhanced the overall experience. These pathways offered a sense of tranquility and serenity, providing visitors with the perfect opportunity to immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings. It was a truly rejuvenating experience to wander along these paths, basking in the natural beauty that surrounded us. The exceptional staff at Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens further enhanced our experience. Their friendliness and warmth made us feel truly welcome, and their dedication to maintaining the garden was evident. We appreciated their efforts in ensuring that every visitor had a memorable and enjoyable time. I highly recommend a visit to Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens. Whether you are seeking a romantic afternoon or simply desire a moment of quiet contemplation amidst nature, this garden will exceed your expectations. Its remarkable transformations and stunning additions make it a sanctuary worth exploring.

Wonderful, lush garden that’s surrounded with exotic plants, the ocean, and kind people. The Shelby Gardens is a great place to visit if you’re from out of town, want to spend a day with the kids and family, or just enjoy plants itself. The facility is clean and well managed. When you come into the gardens, you’ll have your car valeted and returned at the end. We just happened to come the day after their newest exhibit opened which included these colorful Costa Rican masks. Plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the landscape. Definitely check it out!

Very nice. We were there during Tiffany Exhibit which was great. Not sure if special large stained glass decor throughout park was there because of Tiffany or they are standard displays, but loved them. Great that it sits along the bay. Orchid section was wonderful. I highly recommend it mostly for adults, not small children though there is a small kids section.

Beautiful gardens. There is an awesome area for kids to play. They have concerts for members and an amazing greenhouse. I love how they always have a revolving collection of artwork that they incorporate into the gardens.

Wonderful garden. The Orchids were fabulous. We took our time and strolled through everything and it took about 2.5 hours. Worth every penny.
Alex Buchanan — Google review
This place is a must see! If you like orchids you especially need to come see their orchid exhibit. They have an outdoor botanical garden that is beautifully maintained and raised wooden paths that give you a sense of adventure. The view of the ocean is particularly stunning and I’m sure must be wonderful at sunset (although we were there at midday). They have left the natural mangroves along most of the sea’s edge so it’s a great place to see that type of habitat as well. I was particularly fascinated be some of the really old mangrove trees with their roots so big that I didn’t think that still existed except maybe in the Everglades or abandoned islands. There is a cafeteria, and a visitor center which is all being replaced with a huge building across the street which is also part of the compound (probably the new visitor complex). I can’t wait to come back as my wife bought us a membership.

First time going to night in Bloom at the gardens. We did buy advanced tickets and included the parking which was super helpful. Really enjoyed the experience in the atmosphere. The lights, the music, and the garden itself was all beautiful. Lots of different areas to walk through and enjoy, they had games to play for the young ones. It was nice that they had the ability to buy cocktails in food while you walk through the garden. Highly recommend as a family Christmas activity.

Absolutely spectacular! Right in the heart of downtown Sarasota, the Selby gardens is a lovely asset to the city. Beautiful gardens and unmatched views of the bay. I can visit again and again and it’s different every time. We went for the holiday light event this year and i was blown away! It will absolutely be a yearly visit to see the lights from now on! I do recommend buying tickets ahead of time as they sell out, especially right around Christmas. Great for families, people of all ages and interests!

A beautiful afternoon at the botanical gardens. Be prepared to walk thru all the gardens and special exhibits overlooking the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas of beautiful plants and trees and landscapes. It was an awesome afternoon of casually strolling the magnificent grounds and witnessing mother nature in her finest. Kudos to the expansion project, which seems to be complete. Such a beautiful peaceful date with mother nature.

Spent a lovely afternoon roaming around the gardens. Extensive tropical garden indoors with water trickling over the stone walls. Waterfront along the estuary with views of Sarasota have extensive mangroves. They close at 430. Allow a couple of hours. There's a restaurant in one of the buildings. The mansion has a small tour inside. It's 26 dollars for adults, admission. It's definitely a great way to spend a day

What an oasis! To think all of this beauty, diversity, art and natural tranquility is minutes from downtown Sarasota is staggering. The parking is incredibly convenient. The volunteers were beyond helpful. And our visit was free because we’re members of another Florida garden — Bok Tower in Lake Wales. Such a gem.
Jeff Houck — Google review
Parking was a little confusing. It wasn't evident to me that the ramp was for the garden. It is. They don't allow outside food which was a shame because we packed a picnic lunch that we had to enjoy on a bench right outside the park instead of in the magnificent gardens. Even if you buy tickets online you still have to stop at the main entrance to get your sticker.

Really enjoyed this garden. It was beautiful! Wonderful display of orchids and all sorts of beautiful flora. Very well put together, the kids section is super interactive and my niece and nephew loved it! We got to explore nearly every part except for the education center/museum which I'll have to check out next time. They also had a great little bonsai display and I enjoyed the cactus garden too. They had a beautiful Christmas display up and whole array of lights that must look amazing at night. Really enjoyed it!

BHA! BHA! Persian Bistro is a white-tablecloth restaurant with a menu featuring Persian specialties like kebabs and duck fesenjān. It is a local favorite so make sure to call ahead and make reservations. The food is delicious and the decor is beautiful, making it perfect for a fun and romantic date night.
A fabulous lamb centric feast in Naples! The vegetarian options, seafood dishes and desserts were also exquisite. A solid five-star destination! Make a reservation well in advance.

Amazingly delicious! Make sure you make reservations for this restaurant or you probably won't be able to get in. I'd also recommend a day or two in advance. We parked in the lot nearby and walked over to the restaurant and were seated inside. The decorations were very cool, cozy and bright. Our waiter was friendly and made sure to check on us throughout the evening. The menu is fantastic. So many options and great spice and cooked to perfection. I will say that some of the options were very expensive, $55 or so for lamb chops which I found a bit much, but other items much more reasonable. I ordered the spicy apricot chicken and it was fantastic. I will say it wasn't pepper spicy (to me at least but I like hot peppers) and I think they mean more full of spices. Just something to keep in mind! I definitely recommend a visit in!

A Phenomenal Meal! Seated in the rear dining area, our party of 6 was greeted by friendly helpful wait staff. Our lovely Bulgarian server was very informative of the specials and explanations of menu items. Most items on the menu are gluten free or can be adjusted with substitutions. Our salads, appetizers, and meals were delightful to our tastebuds and served quite promptly. Yet, we were not rushed in any way. The presentation of our dishes was most visually appealing and accompanied by our server placing shareable portions on smaller plates. Deserts accompanied by Turkish Coffee and Cognac were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Reservations are a must for this fine dining experience. Bha!Bha! Persian Bistro is a dining experience you will not want to miss.

This was my 3rd time going to Bha! Bha! And it’s always amazing. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is also very lovely. We stuck with appetizers and drinks this time and they were all so yummy. We are a bunch but didn’t feel too full. I also recommend the squash jewel cake. It’s too die for! I tell all of my clients about this restaurant and they all love it too.
Jessica Young — Google review
We had high expectations of this place but we were a bit disappointed. Ambiance is mediocre, the service was a bit hurried and condescending. Wait staff asked for our feedback but actually didn’t care what we had to say. Fried eggplant appetizer was a regrettable choice. Both of our kebab dishes lacked a good presentation and a good taste. Beef was not cooked to medium rare specifications and the buttery rice was too buttery.

Such delicious food, beautifully plated, we can’t wait to go back. We had the lamb meatball appetizer, the lamb Napolean and rice with apricots. Everything served hot and it was all so flavorful. We finished with cherry baklava. Also great drinks. Did I say we can’t wait to go back?

Overall this is a really nice restaurant. However, if you are vegan I do not suggest coming here. The vegan entree is just rice with some heavily charred vegetables. The server was nice but forgot to bring the vegan entree and accidentally gave the vegan member of our party a chicken entree. I think that a restaurant of this price point would be capable of adding lentils or sauce. Also, we found a piece of tin foil stuck to the tahdig. We were a large party and almost everyone enjoyed their meals but it is hard to fully enjoy when there are a of couple people at the table who aren't happy.

We had a truly amazing dinner at Bha Bha Persian Bistro. Everything was excellent, including the lamb and eggplant appetizer, our main courses of salmon and quail, wine, and dessert. Bha! Bha! Persian Bistro was an excellent dining experience during our stay in Naples. Other than leisurely service, not unexpected on a Saturday night, the restaurant is top-notch. A manager was very helpful with our wine choice, which we loved. The four of us shared two appetizers. We were blown away by the eggplant and artichoke gratin! The Lavash Bruchetta was also excellent. I loved my Tumeric dusted fresh Red Snapper! It was a perfect piece of fish, very moist, with fabulous seasonings. The lamb kabobs were also excellent. We tried the rose water infused chocolate dessert, which was unusual, not for everyone, but I really enjoyed. BHA!BHA! is a super choice if you're interested in trying something truly different and truly wonderful!

Seafood restaurant
This upscale seafood restaurant offers a unique atmosphere and award-winning cuisine. The restaurant is popular for its Asian and fusion cuisine, and specializes in sea bass served with tempura carrots. In addition to their signature meal, the restaurant also offers items such as scallops, seaweed salad, hogfish, and crab cake.
Great atmosphere and food. The branzino fish was excellent and fresh, calamari was spot on, even the fries that cane with the sandwich were great. The service was excellent. The only (minor) criticism was that although the music over the sound system complimented the vibe well, the music from the kitchen was loud and could be heard from the tables - this hurt the atmosphere a bit. I would ask to sit up front in case this is a common occurance.

Had dinner here for my birthday celebration. The food was absolutely amazing!! Everything we ate was delicious. The octopus was delicious, flavorful and so tender! The miso sea bass was just WOW. Also had bread pudding for dessert with some key lime cheesecake to go. Can’t go wrong here. The service was also phenomenal. Highly recommend! We will come back anytime we are in Naples.

Any of the fish on the menu have been delicious. Service is always exquisite. Nice alcohol options and fresh juices are my favorite. I like to sit at the small bar and have a quick lunch but watch the clock because they do close in between lunch and dinner. The parking lot is a nightmare during season. lol make sure you have a reservation well in advance from November to the end of may. Thank you for all the great memories, delicious food and fantastic service. 💎

What a great experience! Small location with very limited seating- but worth the wait. Drinks were prompt and quickly checked on. Hostess was very accommodating, bringing drinks while we waited for a seat. 5 stars on service. Waiter was knowledgeable on meals and pairings. While we knew what we wanted, it was great to hear what else made the restaurant unique. All 6 orders were taken without notes, and the only miss was the Brussels sprouts. 4 stars from that. We all ordered the Miso Seabass. Wow! This is unlike any Seabass I’ve had. Buttery soft where the weight of the fork itself cut through the meat (see video). We were told the restaurant has fresh Seabass flown in every day from Chile and it is never frozen. Hence the great, non-fishy taste and the unique tenderness. This is a must for both sea lover and non-sea food aficionado. You will be pleased. 5 star on food. Dessert - the best was the coconut crepe pie. This is not like coconut pies I’ve had in the past. If you like the taste of coconut without the shredded coconut flesh, this is your pie! Key lime cheesecake was ok. Bread pudding is an acquired taste, not my thing. 5 stars for the Coconut Crème Pie, 3 stars on the other two. Will certainly look to visit this place again!

Lobster soup and Miso Sea Bass….OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! Also pictured are kids fish sticks :) Edited: We came back the next day but for dinner because this place was so outstanding! We ordered the corn and fish soup (7/10) and I got the Sweet and Sour chicken and OMG (100/10)! It was PHENOMENAL. I swear I entered into a trance for a moment during it. The only thing we were not crazy about was the coconut pie. It was like a cheesecake texture and had absolutely zero flavor. I would not recommend that. But everything else was WOW!!!

Have been to Nemo’s dozens of times and never have they gotten it wrong. The service is fantastic and the food is just so delicious. They are able to mix several different ingredients and toppings and make magic. The atmosphere is a little tight but once you’re settled you get used to it. We go about 1-2 times per months and appreciate non season months as it’s slower, but let me tell you that even during season they will not lack quality on food or service.

This restaurant should be a Michelin 3 Star restaurant, because of it's exceptional cuisine, worth the 1.5 hour drive from Miami. I am so glad that I finally found a truly good restaurant in the Naples/Marco Island area. I'll be back every time I visit. I had the Salmon Tandoori, my wife had the Cooping. Both were amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable, so much so, that he sounded like the founder of the place. Highly recommended.

This place was over rated, the food was okay and we had to sit outside on sidewalks tables even though we had reservations. Inside is small and packed, the food over priced for what we ate and wasn’t as good as I expected after reading reviews. I will go elsewhere

Any time we come Naples we visit this place I love the food and ambiance but this time was disappointed how we were rushed to leave . Our reservation was for 5:15 p.m place wasn't as crowded, by the time we finished our meal about little before 6pm got crowded . I was still enjoying my pear martini when hostess (not even our server ) comes out of no where and grabs my drink and puts away , it happen so sudden that I didn't get a chance to understand what just happened. I looked to my husband and in shock ( did she just took my drink which I was still enjoying ? ) It was very upsetting, we spend almost $200 for party of two and I still didn't get chance to finish my Martini . I understand they got busy but this doesn't give her right to rush us out . We are quick eaters us not that we were there over the hour ? Unbelievable Never experienced such a thing

With its southern-style charm, The Rooster is perfect for indulging in some hometown flavor.
The absolute best service I have ever had at any restaurant in my entire life, I dropped my fork and literally before I even had a chance to pick it up a different server who wasn’t even serving us had a new one in hand right in front of me. Amazing portioned food more than your moneys worth, greatest mimosas in history as well!!!!! Please check them out if your in the area 10/10….. let me do you a huge favor and put your order in for you…. The chicken and waffles, Amy and Esther are incredible !!!! Lovely brunch. Our waitress highlighted the biscuits, so of course we obliged. The Jalapeno Sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious. Melt in your mouth. The shrimp and grits were also flavorful. The grits were a bit coarse but still great. The potato biscuit side wasn't worth writing home about. We were seated quickly, our waitress was serviceable and the food was excellent. Would recommend.

The restaurant is located at a corner in a small shopping center. The place has plenty of parking around. The restaurant has a small sitting area outside with ref umbrellas. They can be seen well from the street. The inside is small and cute. I had a good food experience here. They make everything from scratch. The fresh homemade biscuits are a must-try. They are good. I tried the Jalapeno Sausage and Gravy Biscuits and I loved it. It was not spicy but tasty. The Pork Belly Grits was another good dish. I liked it. The staff was very friendly. The service was good and we all enjoyed the food.

Went for a work related lunch to Roosters and the food was delicious. I got the shrimp and grits, the other person got the pulled pork and grits. There was a waiting time, but they moved quite quickly and ensured everyone got their table in time. I absolutely must mention this and I'll keep it as a 5 star review, but my shrimp and grits was extremely, extremely salty. I actually don't mind some extra salt, but it took me a while to get accustomed to eating what was on the plate, so please please check the foods daily, I'm sure it was just a misshap. My partner's food was fine.

Thank you for cooking great delicious breakfast and Brunch. Amazing food here as you can see from the pictures. The dishes are very detailed and just surprising me. My waitress is talkative and friendly, the restaurant is very busy in season.

The Rooster in Naples is an absolute GEM, worth every mile of the two-hour drive for us. Naples being a good midway point between Fort Lauderdale and Sarasota to meet with family while we’re in town, The Rooster was decided upon after a quick search, and we’ve been singing praises since. We tried both the Chef’s specials on the menu yesterday, and each dish was a masterpiece in its own right. Fresh and flavorful, it’s beyond evident that the dishes are crafted with much expertise and thought. The makeup of the place also is charming and cozy, perfectly complementing the culinary experience. But it's not just the food and ambiance that make The Rooster stand out — it's the exceptional service. The staff welcomes you with all smiles and we felt attended to throughout our meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to an already incredible experience. So, if you’re anywhere close to Naples, look no further than The Rooster. This precious eatery has secured a place in our hearts, and we’re sure to return next time we’re in town.

Wow! Really delicious food! I had the pork belly with grits, yum. It is small place but the farm feel was really pretty.

The beef tenderloin Benedict exceeded my expectations in terms of taste and flavor. Despite its small size, the cafe offers a delightful, intimate ambiance that captures the essence of the local community. It's an ideal spot for those seeking a laid-back atmosphere and a genuine local experience.

Few things are better than a hole in the wall place, that serves up fresh made from scratch meals, and that’s exactly what you get here! Don’t let the small area fool you, this place has huge flavor! Get the shrimp and grits, get as many biscuits as you can, hell get all of the grit plates you can! Definitely worth a visit! If I was local I’d be here every weekend!

Great breakfast spot! We started off with the biscuits with butter and fresh preserves, which were really good. I got the rooster egg sandwich with the French style scrambled eggs that was delicious! My husband got the blueberry & lemon pancakes, and they were so good! Definitely recommend checking this place out! Can't wait to go back and try other items.

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch. It was our first time and we were not disappointed. The staff, service and food were great! We started off with the fried green tomatoes which came with an amazing sauce. We then ordered the lemon/blueberry pancakes with bacon and sausage which came with a delicious 100% Vermont Maple Syrup(delicious!), we also ordered the Rooster Benedict(so good), I ordered the Bloody Mary that came with a candied bacon, jalapeño olive and pickled okra(YUM!!!) You can tell that everything was farm to table from scratch fresh. We will definitely be back to try other options. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

We ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy and the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. The biscuits and gravy had a little heat that hit your taste buds right at the end. The shrimp and grits was on par with the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had from the Backyard Outdoor Kitchen on Hilton Head.

Amazing find on a rainy day. Wonderful hand made everything! The candied bacon in the Bloody Mary was soooo good. Shrimp and grits also great. Biscuits a must. The server was so nice and was so excited we were new to the restaurant. A very small, but mighty place, get here and you won’t regret it.
Shelly Dall — Google review
I tried the shrimp and grits, which were terrific but had a little too much oil. The flavor was so smoky, and the grits were coarse, a first but excellent texture. The biscuits and gravy were good, but I recommend adding a protein to the dish. Top-rated grits, for sure. It's a tiny place, so be prepared to wait a little on the weekend. Service was average.

TRUE GRIT (s) plus Dog Treats Everything here is made from scratch for you! The creative grits and shrimp are the best I have ever had. The serving was ample enough to feed two people and maybe take some home. As an afterthought, I ordered a biscuit. It was straight out of the oven. Flaky and came with real butter and homemade strawberry jam. It was a biscuit to die for . I’m sure glad my pacemaker batteries were fully charged. Go there and bring your dog. You will both leave happy and one of you will be wagging your tail.

Mediterranean restaurant
The Mediterrano restaurant in Naples is a bright, turquoise-hued place with umbrella-shaded patio tables that offers upscale Mediterranean cuisine. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan friends will find delicious items on the menu here.
Came to Naples to meet up with friends for dinner. We always try to hit a new spot so this time it was Mediterrano. In a word it was GREAT. Service was both attentive and friendly. The menu offered a wonderful sampling of Mediterranean fare. All our meals were scrumptious. The pics only tell part of the story. Great restaurant to experience!

I was worried for a second while driving by to look for parking. It is fairly small and more unassuming than fancy places on 5th, but do not let that fool you. Everything we had was a beautiful culinary experience, amazing taste that lingers paired with good wine and company. By very far, my new favorite place in Naples.

A very appealing and lovely ambiance with beautifully set tables. The service is incredible. Thank you Nikola. I had the Carne Paella. My husband had the Lamb Shoulder because unfortunately the Lamb Shank was sold out when we arrived at 6:15 on a Tuesday. Overall a wonderful experience. Excellent staff and the owner and/or manager stopped by the table. How special is that!

We had family visiting for 3 night and wanted to try a few restaurants we had not been at before, we are only living here since May. Hands down Mediterrano is our new favorite. Fabulous food, wonderful ambience but our waiter Ivan was incredible. SO attentive and pleasant. My family asked for a glass of ice, he refilled it 3X when he saw it was low. A fabulous waiter can make or break a dining experience. The owner checked in too to see how we were doing. With Ivan as our waiter, we left on cloud 9.

We LOVED this place! A neighbor recommended we try it and it was outstanding. The atmosphere is beautiful - bright but subdued at once. Everything about the restaurant was welcoming from the gentleman who greeted us on the patio to the perfect table and comfortable chairs. Our waiter was professional, helpful, and friendly. He provided excellent service. Of course, best of all, was the food! My husband had a salmon dish that he said was the best he has ever had. I had a pasta that was prepared so uniquely; it wasn’t an Italian dish as one might expect. It had delicious flavors I’ve never had on a pasta dish. We had appetizers as well which we enjoyed very much, but the entrees were the stars!

Excellent! Great service, great food, great ambiance in a great location. Reservations recommended esp during season. No complaints. Good Greek dishes available.

Food was absolute perfect. The warm olives, veggie spread and the dolmeh are the perfect appetizers to start the meal. I also recommend the risotto & shrimp as the main course. Save room for a couple of desserts because the baklava and the flourless chocolate are incredible. Service was also impeccable, when we arrived at the restaurant, the host help us changing our table to inside, because of the weather outside. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We had a great evening at Mediterrano, highly recommended if you are traveling to Naples.

Great ambiance, food and staff. Nice place for date night 🌹, get togethers, gatherings. Wonderful wine list 🍷 to compliment any entree. Mediteranno goes above and beyond to get it right, makes you feel welcomed and waiters very attentive to your needs. Highly recommended for a taste of the Mediterranean. Enjoy the outside views and unique hanging plants.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. Lamb keftedes were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the beef tenderloin kebabs and the seafood paella. The flavors were incredible in the dishes. Our sangrias were absolutely amazing! Highly recommend skipping the more pretentious places in the area and come and experience excellent food and service !! Will definitely come back if we are ever back in Naples!!!

My friend never had Mediterranean food before - more like fancy stake and french fries 🍟 friend. The whole experience started with comforting warm delicious bread. My friend loved his beef cabob and actually ate and loved the flavorful veggies. Mediterrano can make a person who hates vegetables lick the plate! My vegan dish was most scrumptious as well. I can rarely find any delicious wine, even at the top of the price list. Mediterrano has Caymus wines -the best - yum!! And if that was not enough enjoyment, baklava was heavenly - warm and mouthwatering. The seating is tight, but it still felt like a great experience with friendly staff and excellent service and food! What a great experience!

Started with the lamb keftedes. They were very tasty. We both ordered the risotto with shrimp. It was delicious. The risotto and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I’ve found it difficult to get good risotto in Naples. Even at the so-called Italian restaurants, but this risotto was right on point. We will definitely return 👍

Excellent ambience. Service is both attentive and friendly and has no stiff upper lip! Very nice flow of indoor and outdoor seating, all having the feel of a Greek Harbour restaurant. The Greek salad came with very few feta cheese -not like the big slice you get in Greece - but the service came back with a huge amount extra (no charge) - simply shows you good service attitude, and the quality of the Feta gives you an idea how much money the restaurant spends for raw ingredients. Seafood pasta had lots of seafood! Would come again any time.

Great meal at Mediterrano. Lots of fresh seafood and options. It's probably the best octopus in town. Fresh salads and pita to top it all off. Beer and wine only

I had an incredible night at Mediterrano! Our food was outstanding…from the delicious filet kabab to the super flavorful and tender octopus on to the really flavorful and refreshing beet salad! Uh without a doubt I'II definitely be trying the watermelon and strawberry one next time oh & the desert was just to die for! I literally closed my eyes and the music that was playing in the background had me thinking I was falling in love! Haha Should of Shazamed it haha Looking forward to my next visit! Oh and don’t forget to sit outside it’s so beautiful! I absolutely loved taking pictures at this place!

Cool place with awesome food. I made a mistake by saying I wanted a mango sangria. The server knew the menu so well that he asked me to double-check what I meant. I was actually supposed to say mango mimosa. That was a good catch. If you want to eat here you almost always need a reservation.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mediterrano in Naples, Florida, and it was truly a five-star experience. The exquisite blend of excellent food, impeccable service, and a charming ambience made it a memorable evening. From the moment we walked in, the staff at Mediterrano were attentive and welcoming. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of excellence. Now, let's talk about the food – an absolute culinary delight! Each dish was a masterpiece, skillfully crafted with fresh ingredients that showcased the chef's expertise. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was simply stunning. The ambience at Mediterrano added another layer to the overall experience. The atmosphere was elegant yet inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special night out. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or just enjoying a sophisticated dinner, Medrano hits all the right notes. In conclusion, if you're in Naples and looking for a dining experience that exceeds expectations, Mediterrano is the place to be. Five stars all around – I can't wait to return for another exceptional meal!

Mediterrano is at the top of our favorite list. In addition to a spectacular lentil soup and hummus with veggies appetizer there are three very tasty vegan entrees. My husband usually gets the salmon or another fish selection…always simply scrumptious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients; the most important one of all…you can taste the love that goes into each and every menu item. The watermelon salad is like having dessert before dinner. The servers are so personable and wonderful. We have never once been disappointed; it’s so delightful to dine at Mediterrano.

Looking to be transported to a lovely Mediterranean villa once you step off the curb? The "Mediterrano" is a must stop destination for you. The small hanging garden above the outdoor seating paired with sea blue-green curtain rimmed adds to the beauty of the restaurant. Not to mention the food! The orange glazed salmon with green beans and couscous was so delicious. The plating was beautiful and once the grilled lemon added its splash of acid to the dish, there was no need for a left overs box. The key lime pie stole the show for a sweet finish. Must stop if in that Part of Naples.

Italian restaurant
Campiello is a chic, refined Italian restaurant with a vast wine list that draws locals to its relaxed atmosphere and delicious eats. The menu features contemporary Italian dishes like Spaghettini with Clams & House-made Pancetta, Porchetta Spit-Roasted Pork, or Eggplant Parmesan. They also offer early dining menus from 5-6 pm for $29.95 per person for a 2-course meal.
Loved the vibe and decor of the restaurant. The nighttime lights are so beautiful and romantic. Our dinner was very enjoyable; great food and amazing service. Our waitress was so friendly and very attentive. She definitely made our whole dinner experience 10x better. Their spicy calamari is a must as an appetizer if you enjoy seafood- great crisp and flavour. I got the braised short ribs with spaghetti and it was delectable. The ribs were fall off the bone and the pasta was so simple yet flavourful. If you’re looking for a nice dinner out, I recommend you check this out :)

Excellent dinner experience here. Very attentive and professional service. A variety of seating options from indoor, outdoor, courtyard, and from casual to white-linen settings. We had to book and early reservation to get in, but were rewarded with an "Early Dining" menu that offered a nice selection of some of the popular options from the full menu at more modest fixed price per meal. Cocktails were perfectly blended. Every course from the calamari app to the salads, and then entrees were fresh, delicious, and abundant. Not an inexpensive venue, even with the early dining menu, but certainly one of the best Italian restaurants we've enjoyed.

Excellent service at this restaurant! Many people were taking care of our table, and they all put forth a strong effort. The cocktails were prepared well, the pizzas are wonderful and the manager was sure to take care of any issues that arose. Thank you for the fine experience.

Service was great. Food was good. Personally think it was over priced. $17.00 for a martini and $16.00 for a side salad. Pictured is the bruschetta appetizer and balsamic-glazed beef.

Good food, nice vibe outside, parking a little tricky if you’re first time here. Luckily able to park right out front. We went Saturday at Lunch and service was brutally efficient 🤣. Orders were submitted quickly and food came fast. I was hoping to linger but I think it was more of a we need to turn this table! Having said that - the pizza, pastas and drinks were all very good and well prepared.

Mixed reviews here. Server was excellent. Reception/greeters not friendly. It was a cool night. We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. Choice was to sit outside or have an extended wait. Outside heaters were not working. No propane...home depot visit needed. Food was okay but my dinner mates pork was cold. For the $$, a disappointment.

This came highly recommended, but we were disappointed. First, they sat us in some lame back room. If you go here, don't let them sit you there. They did hit the ball out of the park on a few things. The cocktails were fantastic, as well as the salads and apps. 2 of the 4 entrees were not good. The tortellini plate was embarrassing and the short ribs were super fatty. I had a chicken special and the last meal, a pasta dish, was good, not great. Overall I expected much more at those price points. I dont mind paying up, but I like to see the value. Here I didnt

Amazing lunch at one of Naples finest. Had a great lunch today at Campiello, one of Naples best restaurants. I’m glad they’ve re-opened following the recent hurricane. We had the spaghetti and meatballs along with a small margarita pizza and they didn’t disappoint. While it’s season now, it wasn’t crowded. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a friendly chat with Amy while enjoying a great meal. I always look forward to a visit to Campiello.

Celebrating my birthday at Campiello in Naples, Florida, was an evening I'll cherish forever. From the moment we stepped into the club room, the ambiance struck a chord with us, perfectly complementing the live music that filled the air with an enchanting melody. It set the tone for what was to become a memorable celebration. The evening began on a high note with the cocktails, and I must specifically mention "A Star is Born." This cocktail was not just a drink but a carefully crafted blend of flavors that tantalized my taste buds, making every sip a moment to savor. The attention to detail and the mixologist's skill were evident, marking the beginning of a culinary journey that promised excitement and delight. Next came the bruschetta, a simple yet profoundly flavorful dish that showcased the importance of using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The burst of flavors from the bruschetta set our expectations high for the main courses that were to follow. While the salmon and the pappardelle were good, they didn't align with my tastes. Despite the slight mismatch in the mains, the overall dining experience at Campiello was nothing short of exceptional. What truly elevated the evening was the vibrant atmosphere and the joy of being surrounded by great company. The lively environment and the warmth of the people around us ensured that we had the best time celebrating my birthday.

Ouch! This is so tough leaving a 2 star when everyone raved about this restaurant. The menu was fair at best. And the atmosphere (indoors) was truly depressing. No candles. Burnt light bulbs created a dark, saddened vibe. For such a “high end” restaurant in Naples, it fell flat. The patio had a better vibe, but unfortunately, reservations are not available for patio. We were able to relocate from indoors to the terrace, which was outdoors, at the rear of the restaurant which proved to be promising, but the meal was unfortunately sub-par. The carpaccio, a seasonal offering was great, but the duck was what I would have expected from a basic restaurant. The “puréed” potatoes tasted like potato flakes that were reconstituted with milk and the duck was served with zero vegetables. Having dined globally, this is a pretty honest reality that this restaurant fell deeply short. I had high hopes based on recommendations, but unfortunately will not recommend.
