Event venue
The National Museum of Wildlife Art is an art museum located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It contains a collection of artwork by wildlife artists from around the world. The museum is open year-round and has regular art events and workshops.
Amazing collection of wildlife paintings, photographs, and sculptures in a beautiful location ten minutes from downtown Jackson Hole. On-site restaurant with amazing views overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Outdoor dining with live music. Special events through the year; we saw an interesting exhibit of Ai Weiwei and Andy Warhol. A must visit destination.

Beautiful permanent display of wildlife art. We were fortunate to catch a local artist exposition while we were here which was an added bonus. Plan for 1.5 - 2 hrs. The only negative was the cafe which was not conducive to grabbing a quick snack. It’s about two miles from the north end of Jackson which lets you have a nice walk along the south western border of the National Elk Refuge.

Absolutely recommend checking out this spot when you’re visiting Grand Teton National Park near Jackson. There’s a ton of cool art and animal sculptures to check out, and the best part is, it’s free. Plus, they’ve got clean restrooms. And don’t even get me started on the views outside! They’re incredible. definitely swing by if you’re in the area. It’s a great stop to stretch your legs, take in some art, and enjoy the scenery.

We absolutely loved visiting this museum. We thought we would probably spend an hour & we're so impressed & enthralled, we strolled about for 3 hours!!! Wonderful, beautiful place. Very kind employees, too. We learned so much, too!! A must see!!
Carol Brown — Google review
We did not pay to enter, so I'm only reviewing the Sculpture Trail. It was underwhelming and not because the sculptures were low quality but because the layout and directions were poor. For example, the Spirit Totems were named differently on the cue card than the placards themselves and this portion wasn't even on the app. Said app was also unclear, scanning the QR Code took you to a website and the instructions did not match the sign with the QR Code. I might go back with my wife but it did not feel conducive to young kids.
Thomas Schlosser — Google review
Small museum but has many different types of wildlife art collections. The outside has a large area of sculpture public art pieces. The restaurant is great too, serving gourmet and healthy food. One of the best museum experiences I ever had.
Steven P — Google review
The museum is a fabulous collection. Currently showing an Andy Warhol, and Asian Lego artist on loan. From sculpture to paintings it is quite a treat. Stay for lunch at palette, their in house restaurant. It is a delightful culinary experience, and well kept secret!
Halle Hallal — Google review
My wife and I stopped in after a day up in Yellowstone and we both enjoyed the museum. Having been to many art museums, and taken an art history class in college, most museums are far too broad for my taste, but this one has a central theme of wildlife, and while still having multiple styles and mediums of art, kept my attention the whole way through. Beyond the art itself there were many historical installations, a recreation of John Clymer's studio with pages of his reference and methods, Thomas Moran's sketches, and one of my favorites was a step by step piece about how bronze casting works. For kids there is a very interactive kids room, and on the day we went, an area to make paper flowers. Definitely a neat little stop

The place is amazing it was close when we went through but just the statues was beautiful enough to admire. The view from the museum it's amazing

Was a nice stop along the trip to Grand Teton National Park. There were some exhibits which featured animals from outside the region but I wish there was a broader variety of wildlife depicted across all of the galleries. I did appreciate the focus on the regional wildlife and the sculptures around the buildings were a plus! For those who don't want to pay admission, you can still stop for 15-30 minutes and walk around to see all of the animal sculptures located outside the museum for a free option to stretch your legs.
J W — Google review
We stopped by the museum without planning. We didn't have time for the exhibition this time. But the cafe is fantastic! This is not your regular museum cafe, more like gourmet cafe with a reasonable price. The wide open view outside is amazing as well for a sit-down lunch. I think they open only for lunch though.
Zhiwen Zhao — Google review
This museum was first established nearby in the town of Jackson 1987.... I haven't been inside but as far as I know they have their own library and archive…. But the outside statues are really life size...and nearby is a national elk refuge...:-)

This place is so unexpectedly cool! Located just outside of Jackson town, it blends in perfectly with the natural beauty of the hills. It is a must see! The amount of artwork outside is amazing. The fabulous sculptures, exhibits as a blend of nature with modern art, create a truly captivating experience. Even though the museum was closed when we visited, the statues alone were beautiful enough to admire. Also, the view from the museum is simply breathtaking. If you're looking for a free way to enjoy the place, you can still stop for 15-30 minutes and walk around to see all the animal sculptures outside the museum. It's a great way to stretch your legs and appreciate the artistry. There's also a telescope available for visitors to use, so you can observe anything that catches your eye. We definitely plan to come back when they are open. This place is full of excellent photo opportunities and we can't wait to explore more of what the museum has to offer. If you're in the area, be sure to visit this hidden gem and immerse yourself in its captivating art and natural surroundings.

Amazing museum filled with wildlife artwork from the top wildlife artists in our county. Palate is suppose to be top notch for lunch didn't have time. The views, the outdoor sculpture and artwork make for a wonderful must see stop while you're in Jackson.

A great stop while on Jackson! $2 coupons are found in fliers at other vendors. The art is very nice but a few galleries were closed on our visit.

Gorgeous museum carved into the mountain. So many pictures to take with the Jackson Valley behind. Beauty and Nature combined. Restaurant Palate is only open till 2:30 and well worth a visit.

I'm not the usual type of person to visit an art gallery. However, the art on display here is fantastic and worth the trip. Great experience for even a caveman like me!
Phil M — Google review
This is an absolute gem of a museum!! 💎 Located just NE of Jackson, on hwy 191, and 26/89, we were first drawn in by the fabulous, life-size, animal sculptures of moose, elk, big horn sheep, etc, which are visible from the highway. Surrounding an edifice built of stone, they provide great photo ops. But that's just the beginning! Completely ADA accessible, the museum offers free or discounted entry to Veterans and students. In addition to a gift shop and a delightful restaurant with amazing views of Antelope Valley, there are changing displays which include art projects from local schools, and a room which shows the progression of wildlife art over several centuries. Some of our favorites included several paintings by Tucker Smith, and Carl Rungius. And don't miss the room set up as a wildlife artist studio! It's full of eclectic and fascinating details and information!!

Absolutely breathtaking photography. Three floors with an incredible range of images. Every time I turned a corner there was another masterpiece that stopped me in my tracks. I felt like I should have paid admission. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Aside from the skiing, this was the highlight of our trip.

We always stop in the Mangelsen Gallery during our trips to Jackson to enjoy the beautiful photography. No one captures the emotion of wildlife like Tom Mangelsen in his pictures and books. Jacob introduced us to the newest art and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking with him during our visit making it a very memorable part of our vacation.

Beautiful studio. Very knowledgeable staff. Great selection of nature books and cards. We purchased 399 and cubs going to her den January 2021.

Always love stopping into this gallery. We came by around 7:10pm. The sign on the door said that the place closed at 7, but the door was still unlocked so we walked in. The employee manning the place, Jacob, greeted us a few minutes later. He let us stay and chatted with us about some of the photos in the gallery, and I was able to purchase a photo book. Great customer service.

Breathtakingly beautiful. The artwork is stunning. I purchased an autographed limited edition of his book The last Wild Places in the World , which contains most of the images in the gallery, and includes a limited edition print. Amazing.

A must visit, the images are breathtaking, and it will give you a view into what's possible to see in the parks. We had the honor of meeting Thomas Mangelsen and he was a true gentleman.

This artist, his work and the staff are incredible. I attended the gallery's open house during the 2019 Jackson Arts Festival for my fiftieth birthday. His work touches my inner soul and stirs each of your senses- which is what art is suppose to do! Visiting this gallery is a “must do” when visiting Jackson, WY. It shouldn’t be missed. Hope and blessings to everyone that adds this spot for your visit.
Stephanie Nall — Google review
Had no idea who Mangelsen was nor that this gallery existed. But as me and the family walked past on our way to find some dinner a print caught my eye. I went in there and found out that my wife also saw this print and of course I inquired about it. The gallery manager was very helpful and informative about Mangelsen and his work. We discussed the price of the piece and I walked away saying I couldn't spend that kind of money on a piece of art. So of course the next day I walked in and bought it! I couldn't stop thinking about the piece and think that I may start collecting more of his work. Darn this man and his images that haunt me.Lol. I will say that I walked in again today and met two more outstanding people that work here. We discussed Mr. Mangelsen and his work once again as well as life in general. Definitely coming back here on my next trip to Jackson.

Definitely unique. There is an arch at each corner of the park. Parking can be challenging in the immediate vicinity, but not an issue if you're willing to walk a block or two. You kind of have to stand in the road to take a good picture, so please be mindful of traffic.

There are several Elk Antler Archs across Wyoming, but those one in Jackson around the city park are by far the most impressive.

It's an experience that encapsulates the beauty and grandeur of Jackson Hole and leaves you with lasting memories.

There was a festival think going on till noon when we got there. Like a farmers market with live music. The square itself supposedly no dog or smoking allowed but both were common to see. Lots of benches in the park though while we were there people were using most of them for their stuff and standing around them protecting them. It was very odd. Arches at each of the 4 entrances. Also horse carriage rides.
Rose Green — Google review
Jackson Town Square has four elk antler arches, one in each corner, the first being erected in 1953, by the then Rotary Club. It was a huge surprise hit for them, so they started to plan for arches on the other three corners of the Square. All four arches were completed in 1969, with “shed” antlers being harvested from the National Elk Refuge. The arches that stand on the corners now are the second rebuild, since the bone antlers need periodic replacing. Antlers are interwoven around a steel frame and secured as needed. Each arch has approximately 2,000 complete antlers, weighing in at between 10,000 to 20,000 pounds. The Southwest Arch is the most popular for photographs, so if one wants a less crowded view, try one of the others, as I did. There was absolutely no place to park on this very crowded day, so I had to get out, while someone else kept the car moving. I took two photos, one of the crowd at the SW Arch, and one at the NW Arch, where I was alone.
Celeste Ruppelt — Google review
Don't bring your four legged friends here even in the park, especially in their doggy bucket list trip. 💔🐾 Not a dog friendly town from what we could tell. You can still stand outside the arches and take photos. They are impressive.

Iconic spot in Jackson. Hard to park if you have a small travel trailer or RV. It would be nice to have signage for parking instead of all of the no RV signs. You have to go 4 to 5 blocks to park as we did.

The reviewers on Trip Advisor who have been there say that it is a great place to sit and people watch, and that it is convenient to all the shops. The creatures in the park are also popular.
What a great place. Luckily it's off season for tourists. Ended up buying a mini hair tie in the fur shop. That's about all most people could afford.

Cool quaint town to eat, shop or just hang out. Very walkable, free public parking with multiple entrances and moderately expensive but beautiful and well stocked shops. Easy 2-3 hours well spent. We did find a parking spot but no info about fees or clarity if it was free. We did park for 2 hours and no tickets. Some construction at the end of June 2022 making a bit congested in a particular area.

The town square of downtown Jackson Hole is very unique and charming. The antler archers on the 4 corners of the town square are a staple for your visit. We enjoyed a beautiful brisk afternoon walking around and popping into the different shops. My main reason for giving 4 stars is that I wish downtown Jackson Hole had more local good/unique shops rather than SO many touristy tee shirt shops.

Jackson Town square is a must see! Amier arches, have been gales to the Jackson Town Square 1 since 1960. The antlers are from elk that winter on the National Elk Refuge. About 7,500 elk spend each winter on the refuge. The bulls shed their antlers each spring. Antlers are picked up by local Boy Scouts and sold by public auction in this square each May. All four arches were built by the Jackson Hole Rotary Club. The arches are here for all to enjoy it is unlawful to remove antlers from these arches, and subject to $750 in fines.

Cozy center of town surrounded by some decent eateries and overpriced tourist trap bars & shops. The town used to have meaning. Historic value. Check out Clint Eastwood I. 'every which way but loose' and 'every which way you can.' Much of the second film was made in Jackson and one gets a feel for it's charm. We started having annual family camping trips in the 80's near Teton Village. Now the campground is a private gated community with 7 or 8 twenty million dollar homes. Yeah, they're nice but get real. When the average citizen cannot gain access, camp with their kids or share an afternoon doing what families have been doing there for centuries, it makes me sick knowing it belongs to the spoiled few who could in all reality care less about the rest of us, the past struggles of ordinary immigrants and trappers, their sacrifices and harsh realities. Not to mention the natives who once inhabited the land with reverence. The idea of 'owning' the land was preposterous to them. You cannot own the land. You take from it and give back. Let's give it all back to them so it can become as it once was: proud, glorious and free

This is a very unique picturesque public space. It is not very big but very beautiful. It is surrounded by unique wooden boardwalks, local shops, art galleries and restaurants. One of the most notable features of the town square are the iconic elk antler arches, which were constructed from shed antlers collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge. There is a giant arch at each corner of the square. The town square serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists, offering a variety of activities and events throughout the year. During the summer, the square hosts farmers markets where visitors can find fresh produce, local crafts and homemade goods. Art festivals, concerts and other cultural events are also held on the square, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. In the winter, the town square is transformed into a winter wonderland. Festive lights adorn the trees and an ice skating rink is set up for visitors to enjoy. The annual holiday tradition of lighting the town square Christmas tree attracts locals and tourists alike, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere. In addition to its attractions and events, the town square is a starting point for exploring nearby Grand Teton National Park and world-renowned Yellowstone National Park. Visitors will find information centers and tour operators around the square, offering guidance and assistance for outdoor adventures.

Wildlife refuge
Nature & Parks
The National Elk Refuge is a protected area in Jackson Hole, Wyoming that is home to elk herds in winter. The refuge offers car rides and sleigh rides to see the animals up close. It is one of the premier wildlife destinations in the country.
We came to the elk refuge for the sleigh ride without a reservation and the ladies in the ticket booth got us in when another party hadn't shown up and within 5 minutes we were on the shuttle to get to the sleigh ride. The whole process to get on the ride was quick and easy. The only downfall is the area you load into the ride was very muddy (probably due to the recent snow melting). We also didn't have a "sleigh" ride it was more of a pulled wagon due to the snow melting and it was super bumpy, but overall our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed seeing all of the Elk. My 6 year old daughter loved it. We would definitely do this tour again!

Amazing experience! I went out before the sun was up and watched the sun hit the Tetons. I then watched a pack of coyotes kill a elk calf and then fight eagles over the calf for hours. I also saw bighorn sheep and moose.

This is a wonder-filled adventure for everyone! Cole our wagon-master was a real horseman and a very educated young man regarding horses, elk behavior and biology and eco-system awareness of the refuge. Coyotes and a Adult Bald Eagle rounded out our tour perfectly. Highly recommend.

There were no elk at the time we drove through... better time to visit is when it's colder and the elk have actually come down to the refuge from the mountains. (Dec-Apr) Overall, it was scenic and you can get great views of the Tetons!

If you are visiting Jackson, the National Elk Refuge under the management of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a must visit; however, the elks migrate and stay there only during the winter, so plan appropriately. Admission is free (unless you opt to take the sleigh ride), and access is by the National Elk Refuge Road via East Broadway Ave of Jackson. There is also an observation deck at the back of the visitor center in the center of town. When we visited between Christmas and New Year's Day, numerous elks were huddled in the fields around south of the refuge near the Miller House historical landmark. Make sure to bring your binoculars and super telephoto lens if you want to see the elks and bighorn sheep close-up.
Steve Fung — Google review
Incredible! I had no idea this would be so easily accessible and free! You can just drive right through, stop on the pullouts and enjoy the thousands of elk. We saw a bunch of ram as well that were fighting and very active. So glad we stumbled on this place and went. The road actually goes on for a very long way that not many people I noticed venture out to. We did and saw a lot more wildlife.

Nice little setup inside. Very clean and very polite/helpful employees. It has a nice little gift shop and has the stamps for the journey and passport collection books. Very beautiful outside view. Telescope to see the Elk way out in the fields. 10-15 min walk thru.

What’s not to like about the Elk refuge? We didn’t take the tour but drove around the back side. The elk were all right in the middle of the refuge so we didn’t get a good look at them. But, there was a bunch of mountain goats climbing the cliffs and just relaxing in the grass.

The sleigh rides at the National Elk Refuge was such a wonderful experience! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Bring layers if you're going in the winter. The elk are so majestic and even got to see some of the males play fighting each other with their horns. We also had a surprise guest appearance from a beautiful bald eagle. Sorry to everyone who had to deal with our over-tired toddler 😬 Stunning views.

Bin22 is a wine bar and marketplace that serves up Italian and Spanish small plates as well as a small market with gourmet items. The restaurant has an intimate patio for dining in or out, and offers wine by the glass or bottle without corkage fee.
This is a really special place. If you are luckily enough to get a seat here you will not be disappointed. Their wine selection, is world class, just ask the server for a recommendation. I tried the octopus, which was tender and delicious. But the highlight was the Brie , it was culinary genius. Simple yet elegant. First come first serve, have a drink while you wait, it will be worth it.

Enjoyed our dinner at Bin22 in the downtown area of Jackson! We sat down at a 2 top outside. Indoor, patio, and outdoor seating available. We took the server up on going inside and picking out a bottle of wine for dinner. The gentleman in the store was very helpful. We took the bottle back to the table, and it was added to our check. Great concept that truly saves you money! We had the warm mozereralla and mushrooms, octopus, and lamb. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and staff were wonderful, and we enjoyed our dining experience.

This place is amazing and I can not stop thinking about it. For being somewhat unassuming and not where you would think would have amazing food….. it’s insanely good. This place sells wine but also has a restaurant inside that does tapas. The flavors, ingredients, and taste combination is just phenomenal. This is a must visit in Jackson especially if you like wine and the quirky vibe here.

Really good food, we had salmon, paella, shrimp, bravado, and octopus. It was all good. Only problem I think was that their portion was pretty small for the price. For tapas, the price was a bit high. We went during happy hour so 50% off drinks made up for it.

This place was great. Would be a good spot for a date night or a group of people. we weren't that hungry passing through town so this place had exactly what we needed a few different smalll plates. We got the paella and the mozzarella melt. Both were delicious they have a wide variety of foods wine and beer.

I went in the middle of the day. I wanted a small plate to keep me over until dinner, and the mussels was my choice. The sauce was so good, and went with the bread very well. Highly recommend if you want tapas/small plates, as opposed to the typical large size dishes served in American restaurants.

Visiting from Florida and checked this place out. Charcuterie was 5 stars for freshness and portion. The Wild mushroom mozzarella was fantastic. Service and proficient and spot on. Full service bar and great local beers on tap! This was so good we decided to come back the next day before our flight back to Florida. The staff got us right in and once again everything was five stars! Highly recommend.

You gotta go here!!! Best meal we had in Jackson and we even at at some swanky places where we spent too much. We started by selecting a great Napa wine then ordered the capocollo, the meatball, the shrimp and the baked brie. All were phenomenal! Highly recommend this place as the friendly helpful staff and cool vibe round out the experience

Hate to be a Debbie downer but I honestly wasn’t impressed. We got the Mozzarella & pesto app. Mozzarella was rather dry & stiff for fresh mozzarella, but the pesto was super yummy. Patatas Bravas was fine - fried potatoes with a salsa sauce at the bottom & a aoli drizzled on top. Not sure what I expected here but the flavors didn’t wow me. The Pork belly sliders was also fine. Buns were nice but the pork belly was very fatty which is normal, but typically pork belly is cooked so the fat is crispy similar to the fat part of bacon. This was just a hunk of fat that had to be pulled off & you’ve got half a sandwich. The octopus was super tender but the artichoke & Lima beans really missed the mark for me. I was expecting mango chutney or something to compliment the octopus . The whole dish just fell flat. Not sure if this was an off night or what, but the flavors didn’t compliment one another & just seemed rather mediocre. My servers were friendly & I’m not sure if they share tables or not as I had multiple people attend to us. Overall I really wanted to love this small tapas space, but when you can spend $100 anywhere a space has to stand out among the crowd & this just didn’t.

Bin 22 is like no other restaurant I’ve visited. The food is fantastic, with a huge variety of small plates best shared with a group of fiends. You put your order in, and each plate comes out as it is ready. Their choices are wide-ranging, creative, and delicious. Seating is all banquet-style, with every seat filled. Half the fun is conversation with the other people seated with you. If you have social anxiety, this is probably not the place for you. Lois, Danny and Casandra did a fantastic job with our group, with cheerful, friendly service. A unique restaurant in a unique town.

Stopped by for HH drinks per local recommendations. Was not disappointed!Staff: Terrific! They hustled behind the bar but offered friendly & prompt service. Atmosphere: elegant & classy. Perfect for date night or meet-ups with friends. Everyone's food around us looked amazing (we weren't hungry during this visit). It took all my restraint not to ask others nearby if I could take photos of their tapas. Would definitely return & and I'm glad our downtown wanderings brought us to this establishment. Would highly recommended!

Bottom line - A must-visit and I will definitely be coming back again! Food - absolutely loved the 3 dishes I had! (1) Spanish salad - perfect blend of arugula with light sweet & citrusy vinaigrette, flavorful cheesy manchego (on the slightly more flavorful side) topped with crunchy roasted peanuts (2) Octopus - great combination of elements again! The potatoes are seasoned so well and go so well with either the octopus or the chorizo. (3) Huevos Rotos - over-easy eggs which spill so effortlessly when broken into and lightly seasoned to compliment the creamier paprika aioli and house chips that hit the spot. PS: since the portions sizes are medium, 2 dishes would have normally been more than enough for me, but I had 3 in this case since I skipped lunch. Also skipped dessert because of no dairy-free options Service - My server patiently went through all my options taking into account my dairy-free preference. I especially appreciated it at the end when after 2 dishes I knew I still needed a little something to fully satiate me and he helped me land on the Huevos Rotos after looking into 2 other options at which point I know most servers would lose a bit of patience. Ambience - overall great, the restaurant is tucked away behind this little but packed wine shop. Had bar seating which I actually didn’t mind this time because the bar is quite spacious (pictured) with hooks below to hook your jacket / belongings. Interesting choice of music from the 2010s - but no qualms there - and not very loud.

Warm atmosphere and excellent food. Walked through a liquor shop into the restaurant. The steak was very flavorful, accompanied by different spices on the top and bottom. The octopus leg was very tender without any odor and again accompanied by excellent side dishes. The paella was also good. It must be noted that they serve as small portion, but they were all exceptionally well presented.

We had a lovely lunch here with our friends. We had only the water, but this would be a great spot for a nice glass of wine. We shared a Spanish salad and a charcuterie board. Delicious!! We sat on the patio which was nice. Service was good as well. Highly recommend Bin 22.

Huge foodie over here, I love the idea of tapas because it allows me to try various things and not over stuff myself. The house pulled mozzarella really did it for me!!! The pork belly sliders were also surprisingly amazing. The fried potatoes in their salsa brava OMG SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!
Ale Garcia — Google review
Really cute spot with an inviting staff and atmosphere! You can buy a bottle from the attached wine store to have while you eat or try a variety of by the glass pairings from the restaurant itself. The tapas were perfectly portioned for a couple and the charcuterie was really delicious and fresh. Had a lovely dinner here! The cheesecake was to die for.
Alivia Hysell — Google review
It was really cool to be able to pick out your own wine or drinks from the store in the bar, but the alcohol connoisseur was a bit social stunted, and I don’t say that to be mean, it was just confusing if he was being for real sometimes which was a bit off putting. The waiter was fine but certainly didn’t add to the experience. The food was only decent, which when you’re spending so much on a small plate, should be amazing. I felt embarrassed I brought my friends here and that it was a subpar experience. There’s better places in town for sure. I hope this place takes notes and does better.

4 stars for the warm service and general creativity of dishes, but would dock half a point for too many plates being extremely heavy on the salt, especially the tartare pizza (which was otherwise amazing) and the sauce for the lamb fettuccine (likewise). The chili honey schnitzel was probably the best of the group, and can’t forget the onion rings. Leave room for dessert!

We had a great time. Starting with the rustic atmosphere and the cozy table, we felt welcome right away. Our sever Craig was excellent. We started with roasted autumn squash soup and baby lettuces. The soup was lovely and the salad was fresh and light. Our waiter suggested two delicious entrees off the menu, the walleye and the schnitzel. Both were superb. The pace of our service was perfect. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy this exceptional restaurant.

Superb steak. Good cocktails and desert — we loved the “SRG Bars” and expresso martinis. My group of four got seated in a great corner booth at 9pm and had a good experience all around. Felt grown-up and classy.

This downtown Jackson spot delivers solid, if predictable, upscale American in digs that are exactly what you expect for a mountain restaurant. The food here is pretty good across the board with only a couple of misses, but the steaks seem to be the star. Really nice wine list priced at around 2x, which is pretty fair given the area. Service is impeccable. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The space has wood paneling and fireplaces, creating a warm atmosphere. It’s a solid option for a night out, but nothing really blew me away.

Top notch restaurant with outstanding food and beautiful interior. The attention to detail is remarkable. Service was excellent. High quality food. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The green chile onion rings were a delicious unique treat. Unless I missed it, there is no elevator access for the handicapped. Steep outside stairs. (I tripped and fell climbing stairs in wet weather.)

At the recommendation of the lady I sat next to on UA2237 flight, my family and I tried Snake River Grill. We called ahead and made reservations for 6 at 7:30pm. We arrived and there was a short wait while they finished seeing the table. My sister didn't like the location of the table, so we opted to wait a little longer and got a booth. I had a custom drink which looked like sunshine and tasted delicious. I had the Scallops my 1st course, Rice & Peas as my Small Plate, and the Rabbit Saddle Roulade as my main course. I really loved that the Peas tasted fresh in both the Scallops and the Rice & Peas. Although I liked my meal, my dad's meal of Roasted Carrots and Rack of Lamb looked perfect. It looks like the restaurant is listed at $50 - $100 per person. I think $100 - $150 is a better estimate. We leave tomorrow to return to Texas and I forgot my Credit Card at this restaurant (they called and left a voicemail to let me know). I like their customer service and I hope I can get my CC back before I go.

We stayed in Jackson when we went skiing at Jackson hole. The place is very popular and we couldn’t make a reservation for dinner on the same day and then we tried walk-in. We was told it would be 45-60min waiting, so we made a reservation for the next day. The atmosphere is great, and the receptions are very helpful. We tried Snake River area raised flank steak and dry-aged NY steak from Montana. Both of them are delicious. One thing would make it better if the restaurant can provide free bread before meal.

We came to try out Snake River Grill after many people had recommended it to us and we were pleasantly surprised! We started out with the bacon wrapped dates (haderlie farms pork chorizo & applewood smoked bacon) and a bottle of wine (Rioja Alegre Valgañon Tempranillo, Tinto 2020). We then tried out the pan seared maine scallops (with yuzu-buttermilk vinaigrette, miso crisps, & citrus) and the grilled elk chop (with winter squash, plum chamoy, & brussels sprouts). All in all a great experience here, would love to come back to explore the menu a bit more!

Visited the Snake River grill last Thursday with my wife and another couple. You you should make reservations for this popular restaurant. Prior to going to the restaurant, we went to the Jackson Winery, where we bought a couple of cases of wine. We bought two extra bottles to bring with us for dinner that night as well. The restaurant has a corkage fee of $30 per bottle, which wasn't terrible. My wife had salmon, which was absolutely delicious. It was done just right, and it tasted delicate and flavorful. I had a wagyu sirloin steak which the restaurant had labeled with proprietary name. It was absolutely delicious! It was tender, full of flavor and texture. It was a large portion as well. Our waitress was very accommodating to boot - she was very attentive, regularly checking on our wine and whether we needed anything else. We made sure we tipped her well! We went to a number of different restaurants in Jackson Hole last week, and the Snake River Grill was perhaps the best we visited. I highly recommend it!

All day long you can enjoy delicious items with a cocktail or bottle of wine. This American restaurant is pet friendly, so feel free to bring along your furry friend!
Love a good local place! Great staff and great food. It honestly felt like I was eating at a small-town restaurant where everyone knew each other. Delicious yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and homemade granola. (Some, if not the best granola I’ve ever had) Can’t wait to go back!

Friend and I went for brunch on a Sunday morning in September. We had to wait around 5 minutes before we could be seated. The place is nice, spacious, and has a clean restroom. The service is quick and friendly. We started with the pig candy and I would recommend against it. Feels like a bad way to combine two perfectly good things. I had the bison patty melt and a little bit of the Mac and cheese, and that was quite a big meal. Loved the bison patty!

Great little spot in town! We headed here for lunch after our sleigh ride at the Elk Refuge. We were seated right away. The hostess was friendly and warned us the kid sizes were small, which was great because my 10 year old son is a bottomless pit. The food was good, love that pig candy! I also highly recommend their mac & cheese. Definitely want come back and try breakfast!

Great local joint. Brunch/lunch is the name of the game here. We liked it so much we came back the next day. We had both the Cajun eggs Benedict and the Fried green tomatoes eggs Benedict. They were both awesome. We also had the pig candy salad which is great as long as you like the taste of caramelized bacon (and who doesn’t). Finally don’t forget to get a side of the home fried chips. Fabulous. Their Bloody Mary was pretty darn good too. The Old Bay seasoning and salt mix on the rim was a nice touch.

First morning in Jackson we found this place! What a gem!!! In walking distance from our hotel. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere and delicious food!! After driving 20+ hours, then a good night's sleep; it was great to wake up and eat here. It set the whole mood and experience for the day. So many good choices to choose from, I decided on a favorite - Eggs Benedict. A childhood favorite, I have a hard time finding it and finding it done well. They hit the nail on the head! My husband and two boys loved their food as well - for my oldest (17) it was Instagram and Snap Chat worthy, if that tells you anything! Lol I highly suggest giving this place a try. Add it to your list, it won't disappoint.

We found this place as we were driving through on our road trip. The Place was so fun and quaint. The lady who served us was great and felt like we had good service, they even packaged our desert to go. The food was so good. Probably the best macncheese I have ever had. My kids liked it, so it checked all the boxes, family friends, good food, and good staff.

Very satisfied with the food and fast service. The coffee was lacking and very highly priced for what it was. $8 latte or $5 drip coffee. Go next door for coffee at Persephone, all told, a great (albeit pricey) spot for breakfast/brunch.

We stopped here since it was featured on DDD, while we didn’t try anything Guy did, it was phenomal food and service. We had the cheesy bacon grits and eggs and the classic eggs benedict. At the recommendation of the lady I sat next to on UA2237 flight, my family & I tried Cafe Genevieve for Breakfast/ Brunch. We considered sitting outside, but didn't want to deal with the flower flurries so we ate inside. The staff was very friendly and the waiter very attentive. The Watermelon Margarita was delicious. They brought an extra cup of coffee, I accepted it and they turned it into a complimentary beverage. I debated with myself between the special Florentine Eggs Benedict and the original Eggs Benedict. I ended up going with the original and it was excellent. I wish I'd asked them to combine the two types of Eggs Benedict which would have added Spinach & Tomato (both of which I like). My nephew tried his first Root Beer float and loved it. My dad had the Watermelon juice and enjoyed it. Everyone liked the meals they chose. If I ever visit this area again, I'd definitely come back and try the special.
Linda Bright — Google review
Service was prompt and friendly. The prices were a little on the high side, but the portions were pretty large. We had two main complaints that kept this from being 5 stars. The first is that the huevos chili verde really needed more of something to eat with all the sauce. It was swimming in sauce and there’s only one tortilla. Give me some potatoes or chips or another tortilla or something. The second is that the potatoes with the Benedict were insanely salty. I love salt, and it was still too much. I had to smother it in ketchup to cut it with some acidity. The Benedict was amazing though, and the eggs were perfectly poached.

I had the Fried Green Tomato Benedict. It was delicious. My complaint is the potatoes were premade, what I can get at the free hotel breakfast buffet. For a homestyle restaurant I expected a better potato.

Wonderful breakfast in a great location. Surrounded by lovely open green space, the outside dining is energizing. The coffee and baked goods are incredible. The wait staff is plenty and they stay on top of clearing and keeping the tables clean. The food is farm to table and is served much faster than expected, considering how busy they are. This morning I had a lavender honey latte with breakfast. Yum!

I gave a 3 star for service due to the unfriendly woman that took our order. I get that you are busy, but is the holiday season, cheers. This bakery is a lovely sight. Decorated so finely for the holidays. We took our order to go, which was a bummer once we got down the road and started nibbling on our chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, egg & ham croissant sandwich(my husband said there was a yummy spread on the sandwich), and a small white chocolate peppermint latte. Darn, I’d wished I had gotten a large size of that latte! So delicious was everything, for sure a delight! On the other hand, I’m glad we took it to go, for the wait would have been long. In the dining area there are only 6 little cafe tables, seating 2, maybe 3 per table. So if you’re in a hurry get take out. If you’re dressed very warm in the winter, shake the snow off the patio table and chairs and take a seat. Most definitely their lattes will warm your soul! Enjoy!

Very nice aesthitic in a cute small building. The coffee and latte was very underwhelming. Just one roast and a pour yourself type deal. I also asked for the latte iced and it came hot. Definitely more of a baked goods and breakfast spot then a home town coffee place. If you're looking for better coffee the cowboy coffee is the place to go. I will say the food looked delicious and so did all the gourmet chocolates on the wall. Also VERY busy in the am especially on a weekend so keep that in mind.

What a delightful little place within a bustling town. The servers were very friendly and were helpful with all of my questions. The cheddar biscuit was the best biscuit I’ve ever had. We loved this bakery! The shakshuka is delicious—a creamy tomato sauce with lentils and lentil peas and lovely poached eggs and buttery baguettes! I had it with their hot cider (with a cinnamon stick), and both were divine. My husband had their ham and egg croissant sandwich—the buttery croissant was definitely made from scratch and very good. He also had their hot chocolate. We went back once for dessert and drinks. We’re hoping to go back today (third time since arriving earlier this week). The service is quick and friendly, and the food is amazing. They sell pretty Xmas ornaments and mugs. We bought chocolate fudge brownies in little bags that are written to suggest that they’re bags of coal :) They also sell items to bake at home for Xmas, so we may go back to pick up bakery items to bake Xmas morning. Definitely check this place out—you won’t be disappointed.

Breakfast is best but lunch is good too. Great coffee and I hear the tea is superb. The have shelf items to grab as well. Look for their rice crispy treats. A shocking wonder to behold. My wife got the waffles and she didn’t even need the syrup. I ideally get the ham and cheese croissant but opted for a h and egg sandwich. Highly recommend this place. One of my favorites for sure.

Four and a half stars. Couldn’t rate it as 4 because the customer service was spot on. It would be hard to go wrong with this place. My only small complaint is that the coffee was underwhelming considering the quality of everything else. Great merch. Beautiful, clean space and good outdoor seating. The crew took care of a line out the door in no time. And the prices are very reasonable and middle of the road for a highbrow coffee shop. Highly satisfied.

Persephone Bakery is a absolute local delight, bringing the best of European breakfast and pastries to Jackson. Persephone’s dishes, design, and atmosphere come across as a love letter to traditional bakeries in France. I first visited Persephone during breakfast rush hour on a rainy day. Upon entering, the first thing you spot is the lit up wall of freshly baked breads and pastries behind the counter. Even from a distance, you can easily tell the culinary authenticity of these pastries. When reaching the counter, you can pick from an elegant display of pastries, breads, and desserts to compliment your meal or order separately. For breakfast, they have a small variety of European dishes that you can order to dine in the bakery or to-go. Of the dishes and pastries ordered, the egg sandwich (with ham and bacon) and cinnamon brioche were the standouts. The egg sandwich was served on a croissant and tasted absolutely delightful. The ham, bacon, and egg blended perfectly together, and nothing was too overbearing. You could tell the cinnamon brioche along with the rest of the pastries were made with heart and care. The taste and quality of the bread were truly outstanding for an American bakery. With the patio seating closed due to rain, it was very difficult to get a table inside so we elected to get our food and pastries to-go. Inside the bakery only seats around 15 people, so I recommend heading there earlier in the day if you would like to grab a table inside. If the food line does get backed up, the bakery can become crowded very quickly. While waiting for the food, this did give me the chance to take a look at some of the presentation on the dishes for the customers who were dining in. At every single table after dishes were delivered, customers were quick to pull out their phones and take a photo of their meal before digging in. If I was dining in, I would’ve done the exact same thing. I’m excited to return to Persephone Bakery in the future, and I hope to find more bakeries of this quality in the United States. Score: 5/5 stars

This bakery coffee shop is a gem! The shop is always clean and tidy, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service is both nice and efficient, making every visit a pleasure. Now, let's talk about their croissants – they're simply delicious, a must-try! And their lattes? Amazing! While they offer a variety of other baked goods that all look delicious, the croissants and lattes are my personal favorites. One of my favorite morning stops whenever in Jackson Hole.

Absolutely fantastic local bakery. Their breakfast menu is the real highlight, everything is executed perfectly with a good mix of very light to heavy and sweet fare. The coffee is equally good with even the drip coffee having wonderful depth of flavor and character. The real reason to visit is their fresh baked breads and pastries! Our favorite breakfast/coffee spot in town.

Very nice spot. Cozy, very good service and friendly waiter. Answered all my questions and gave a great suggestion. Food was delicious we enjoyed it all. The guitar player was also really good and played beautiful melodies. We had a Great experience.

Went here for the first time. Definitely has the best french onion soup we ha e ever had! The steaks are really good. The service was mediocre. Our waiter seemed to avoid the table most of the time. The bartender was making fantastic drinks! There was a little live music and that just made everything more enjoyable. We will definitely come back when we are near by!

Amazing food. Great service. 10/10. Definitely make reservations during busy seasons. The rack of lamb was amazing. Super tender. Buffalo and duck did not disappoint either. Stuffed mushrooms was a great appetizer.

The Blue Lion has been my sister’s favorite for years, and for good reason. Each and every bite was exquisite. The stuffed mushrooms and gnudi in brown butter and sage were a great start. The salad was light and fresh, with candied pecans. The lamb was the best I’ve EVER HAD. Bravo to the chefs and to the servers for their execution of this meal, which makes all the difference. Everything came out hot and perfectly cooked. Finished the meal with the mud pie and Ukrainian cream. Will remember this meal for a long time.

Visiting Jackson in the off season. Many restaurants were closed and we were looking for a good steak. We weren’t sure what to think because the building is definitely understated from the outside. Our food was absolutely amazing! My steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. Staff were on point, friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this hidden gem. Wonderful experience.

We went here for a fancier date night. The atmosphere is great - super cozy with live guitar playing. The staff were also all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food however, was pretty lackluster for the price. My husband had the elk and liked it. I had the trout and it was just ok. The portions are also pretty small for the price. We did have the butternut squash soup and that was delicious. Overall, the price was a little high for the quality.

The service was very good, staff were very attentive and kind and knowledgeable!!! I want to preface there was nothing wrong with the actual service. But it was probably the most disappointing meal we’ve had in Jackson so far unfortunately despite how costly it was. We got the trout dip as an app and it was mostly cream cheese, looked like something you could buy from Walmart. I ordered the lamb chops which were the best of the night but they weren’t really seasoned. The outer crisp was very nice but the meat itself didn’t even taste like it had been salted. We also ordered the elk and it was burnt and rare even tho we asked for medium. The beef tenderloin was also cooked very rare when we asked for medium rare and the trout was very meh. All in all it was a very mid meal and I wouldn’t come back tbh, not for the price point. Reminded me of something from Ruby Tuesday, not a $$$ restaurant.

Very impressed by this place. The service was top notch, the drinks were incredible, the food was delicious, and the dessert was amazing! There was even live music, an acoustic guitarist playing cover songs. I highly recommend the huckleberry goat cheese appetizer, gnudi, and the huckleberry scallops. The elk tenderloin was cooked perfectly and so tender and flavourful. The mud pie dessert cake was the perfect finisher of the meal.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Yummy non alcoholic cocktail option as well. The only slight negative was them trying to push dessert on us while we were still finishing our entrees.

While on our trip, we ate a lot of lamb. One of the best lamb racks is the one at The Blue Lion (it was suggested by a local here in Jackson). Portion to price is very palatable. The crust on the perfectly cooked lamb rack adds a sweet note to it. It makes it sing. For a starter, we ordered duck cakes. Delish. The French onion soup was tasty and even though I'm not a salad person, even the salad was yummy. The service was great. Our server was a very down-to-earth fella. We enjoyed chatting with him.

Our server was great and food was delicious. The appetizer/salad/food timing was awkward and pricing didn't match portions. The hostess wasn't particularly welcoming or hospitable. The other servers were buzzing around seemingly upset and while the small space was pretty full, it wasn't incredibly busy at our 545 reservation.

My husband and I loved the Blue Lion. It’s in a renovated home and we got to sit by the guitarist that was very talented and provided a great vibe to the dinner. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We got the crab mushrooms, shrimp scampi, huckleberry scallops, and raspberry lemon cake. SO GOOD! I’d recommend this place for a fancy night out.
