Not sure what the hype was, but it was alright fish cutters. If you got the one with cheese, Cuzz gives you a pretty big slab of cheese which is cool. The bread is subpar at most and the fish (at least mine) was way overcooked, was tough like a steak. Make sure you ask for more sauce (or put more in yourself) as it was quite dry. For the price, it's a good cheap eats but not something I would drive back to eat. But if at the beach, then yes.

This was the best fish cutter we had during our week in Barbados, near Carlisle bay tucked away off the beach. And great value too! It was very popular with locals and tourists but didn't take too long to get served. The owner only sells food, not drinks, but there are two drinks stalls next to it. When we asked about vegetarian cutters he said he didn't have any. Would have loved to come back and try the ones with cheese!

Definitely the best cutters I've had in barbados! Great sauce options, no frills. We tried more than three times to see whether it's open - but many times it was closed. Go after 1pm!

Maybe i ate it too fast? I got a bit of a tummy ache. This fish was so delicious, fresh, on the softest freshest yummy bun. I put hot sauce, maybe what caused my tummy ache, just a wee bit too much. My lips are still burning as i write this haha. Sorry i didnt take a pic. I highly recommend.

This place is a must stop and came highly recommended by friends and locals. I can see why! The cutter (fish) sandwich came with a fresh bun, lettuce and the option for cheese, and it was a thick slice of cheese. This was a great find and will probably be making a few more trips before we head off the island.

The sand which lived up to the hype! Delicious! A variety of condiments are out…. Ketchup, Mayo, onion Vinaigrette and the pepper sauce (one drop). However you do it you’ll be happy! The beer in the pic is from the stand next door, not from Cuzzs. Definitely recommend!!

I literally inhaled my fish cutter after making a quick stop for lunch. The marlin was very flavorful and the bread! Ugh you can’t beat a fresh bajan salt bread. Prices are a tad steep by local standards but I understand Cuzz is located in a highly touristy area. Service was quick and efficient! Will definitely be back again in the future. 👌🏾

Just let me say, this is a place where you don't need a whole lot to leave satisfied. It's simple, we all heard from someone, you need to visit cuzz for one of the freshest nicest fish cutters. A cutter, is basically a fresh bun/salt bread with some kind of protein in it, garnished with some sort of garden herb or some kinda pepper sauce. In regards to the cutters at Cuzz, you can get freshly fried Kingfish, with or without cheese, you can get single or double fish. I went here recently and was not disappointed, came at a time that wasn't near lunch, as the line can be quite long and intimidating especially if someone in the line is ordering a lot. Cuzz does these fresh on the spot, so hence why the wait is long, he does each piece of fish freshly fried for you. The fish is seasoned well, the bread was fresh, and the general customer service is there, please don't expect Michelin star service.

I ate 3 of my meals at this spot while on vacation. It's a freat spot for lunch or an early dinner 🍽️ I got the single fish cutter without any cheese on it twice. Also tried the double, which was perfect for a meal. Added some bajan hot sauce and it was a perfect combination. If you're not staying in the area. Worth a trip wherever you're on the island. If you're thirsty...there are two stalls on either side of the booth that sells various drinks. The booth on the right that sells lemonade is worth a stop too.

We've been eating Cuzz's fish cutters for 12 years, and I am pleased to report that today we had the best one EVER. Positively on a level with the best food on the island and all the way up there with the best lunch options anywhere. Today, Ms Cuzz was there. The queue was long, she takes her time, but wow, worth every minute.

Cuzz is a Barbados institution! It's a MUST STOP foe lunch while on the island. Recommend the double cutter with cheese and 2 Banks beers 🍻. If you see a line, just wait. It moves fast and it's well worth it. The parking lot atmosphere is just the right feel for this part of the island.

Had Cuzz's on my eating itinerary while in Barbados. Was excited to try the fish cutter and so were others. We arrived during noon hour and there was quite the line. It moved pretty steady and there was drink options near by to keep you quenched while waiting in line. I went with the single fish cutter with no cheese. I didn't want to taint the flavour but seeing others ordering the cheese I would add it on a future order. The sandwich was good, nice bun, good toppings and excellent bajan hot sauce. The marlin is a bit of a beefier fish and has more of a steak like texture. Its different than flying fish. I would recommend Cuzz's and will return on a future visit to Barbados.

We tried to book this place on our holiday but it was full every night so we chanced it early one evening after a long day on the beach. They managed to sit us for an early dinner sitting by the beach and the setting was spot on. We had the lobster bisque and some spring rolls (which was a bit random) to start, both of which were full of flavour. We then had the medium Lobster for main and it was really good, although slightly over cooked. But not so much that it wasn't enjoyable. Service was a tad slow I'd say, but overall this is a great place to come for some fresh fish

It's a very nice restaurant on the beach and the lobster was amazing! The service was very good and the waitresses were very nice with our baby.

Just used the sun beds and sea. Fifteen dollars US for two beds and parasol. Three extremely large rum cocktails. Superb waiter Jacobite. Give him a salary increase. Brilliant place and people. Well worth a visit!!!!

Amazing restaurant, we just decided to pop in for dinner. And was absolutely taken away by the atmosphere. Live Jazz band playing music, and sing happy birthday to guest. We were sat by the beach with lovely decor all around us. We had lobster tail for dinner I opted for the creamy version, whereas my partner got the garlic butter one. I would recommend the garlic lobster the creamy version is nice but takes away from the lobster taste. For drinks we had blended fruits smoothie extremely delicious had to get 2. The icing on the cake was the carrot cake honestly just the best. Would recommend, also book if you want to get seated outside on the beach.

Went here on our last night in Barbados. It was an absolute treat. The food was delicious the atmosphere with the live band magical. The sunset view absolutely incredible. The perfect way to end our last night.

Great food - the lobster was the best I've ever eaten. Very meaty! Great service from Nadia and all the team. Atmosphere was weird. Full of old white Americans. Didn't feel authentically Barbadian at all. Not the kind of experience we were really looking for.

A delightful place right on the beach front. You can hire their sun loungers and have a beautiful lunch after. Sods law they had no live lobster in as they sold out yesterday, but the lobster tail was incredible, fresh and very moreish! Our waiter Joseph was lovely, very friendly and always on hand before we even asked for anything.

We went there for our Wedding Anniversary and it really was a special evening. (Thanks for the thoughtful cake) We sat on the deck and felt the atmosphere, enjoying the live band overlooking the tables and chairs on the beach. We had a medium lobster each with a great bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Super.

It was a little subdued to my liking. I wanted to be at The Boatyard next door. They were full up. Anyway, the beach area was just the same as Boatyard. I was told you could rent a chair & umbrella, I don't know the cost. Place was busy, bartender, was running like crazy. Could see the kitchen staff working hard. Great place for older folks in my opinion. Steel drum player was great to watch, you could see he was enjoying himself. The dishwasher gal wanted NOTHING to do with anyone. Knocked on the door where she was working to ask her if there was "a changing area?" She looked at me nastily and then just ignored me. I wasn't there to eat, I was there to party, interact with folks, and use the beach...the beach was good.

Lovely little beach bar and restaurant, reasonable price for sun beds/ umbrella with drinks included. I didn't have any food but the rum punch was lovely and the people working were all very friendly! Access to facilities like showers and toilets and the most amazing view of the sea and surrounding beach. Also a reasonable walk from the cruise terminal around 40 minutes?

We had a lovely experience at lobster alive this evening. Everyone in the staff was amazing! The setting was lovely (right on the beach) and the Lobster Thermidor was delicious! It was so good. We are bringing friends tomorrow for lunch! 🤣

We try and go every time we are in Barbados and it’s growing each time we come back. We reserved so was a bit disappointed when they said they had run out of lobster at 1:30pm but apparently it was a mix up And we got 3 lobster Thermidor tails, after a starter of lobster spring rolls (mega) lovely spot on the beach and they have just added a big deck with nice tables and the music is always live and good. Medium price range and definitely worth a visit if you’re near….

My favourite place on the island! The staff are superb, the atmosphere and music is brilliant, the menu is varied and excellent, and the whole place has such a great vibe - what’s not to like! They offer a package which includes use of the beach etc, but I can only comment on the restaurant area. The waiting staff are brilliant, being always on hand on proactively getting drinks when needed. They keep checking up throughout your visit without being intrusive, but equally always there when needed. The menu is huge, with a great range of snacks, sides and meals. The portion sizes aren’t small so getting a filling meal is easy and everything I tasted was fantastic - cooked and presented well with great flavours. While it’s not hard to work out, it’s nice for the menu to display both US and Barbados Dollars next to each item and in general the prices are normal and reasonable for the island. It’s a colourful environment, with a great atmosphere, and I could easily spend a whole day here and can do nothing more than recommend - great place!

Fun! I’ve been snorkeling with sea turtles on other vacations but I wanted to make sure our kids did as well. We took the bus to the Boatyard on our recent Barbados vacation mainly to ensure we could snorkel with the turtles and see the shipwreck, and this option was more value money wise than some of the excursions. We were able to easily get chairs and umbrellas and sign up for the first boat ride of the morning. The one worker for the boat trip was kinda rude and snarky but the rest of the staff were all awesome. We were provided with a snorkel vest and gear so if you don’t already have that it’s no problem. They also have a spot to leave valuables while you are on the boat. We only saw one turtle but he was right there with us and I felt like we had plenty of time. After, the kids had a lot of fun on the rope swing, trampoline and slide. There were some waves the day we were there though. The food was pretty good and we had plenty of credit in the card they give you for all of us to get what we wanted. For my underwater pictures I used an AKASO Go7000.

Great place to spend in the beach. They give a drink and a transportation back to the ship (if you are in a cruise). There are a lot of amenities. Chairs and Umbrella, jump from the pier and there are slide in the beach. Very good service. I enjoy a lot.

Great day out... $60 with $45 food / drink credit for adults or $40 for children with $30 credit. Free sun loungers / WiFi / boat trip to see the turtles etc. Just be warned they get very busy so you need to time when you get drinks and food as it can be a 60mim wait, but hey Ho your on island time. Would visit again

Very much worth the price. Had an amazing day. I especially enjoyed the shipwreck snorkeling and swimming with the turtles tour which I was pleasantly surprised was included in the price. Also the two happy hours were well appreciated and utilized 😊. Lovely facilities will definitely return soon

Came as a cruise passenger. For $35 you get a beach chair with umbrella and are able to go on the boat to snorkel. I saw a sea turtle and a small shipwreck that was very cool. For the price it's a very nice deal. Service could be better and the people could be much friendlier but if you ignore those two things and focus on the ocean you'll be good. The taxi to get there is $5 a person and the shuttle back is free.

Read a few not so good reviews on tripadvisor. I didn't think it was bad at all, I really enjoyed the day at the boatyard, we were returning from a cruise and had a few hours to kill. Wish we could have stayed longer to be honest. Loved the beach and seeing the turtles

Great atmosphere, for $35us you get 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach and a snorkle tour to see turtles and a wreck. They also have a floating slide and trampoline. Small parking area. Staff is friendly and great. Can't beat the views.

Fun place to hang out for a while, if you have some time to kill and want to be on the beach and have food and cocktails. Lots of options here, and seems to be filled with mostly people from cruise ships.

Came here 23yrs ago with the military and loved and now have returned on a cruise with the wife and we both loved it. Be prepared to spend money as it will cost approx £35 each for a sun bed and brolly and a free drink but the beach the inflatables and the bar and food are everything you'd want. Love this place.

Loved this place, great vibe to the place. Well worth the money, lounger and umbrella, complimentary drink, free ride back to ship and the highlight was the boat trip out to swim /snorkel with turtles and over the shipwreck. Really friendly and helpful crew there. Thoroughly recommend.

The food is great, beach Is great and our kids love the activities. The reason for the low star rating is the customer service experience with the captain of the snorkeling activities. He was rude to everyone on the boat and one girl almost cried because he yelled at her because she came on the boat without knowing how to swim. There's a way to speak to paying customers regardless of safety and rules. Do better to treat people like humans and not animals.

Went here after seeing the positive reviews. Had an excellent experience. The service was great and the food and drink quality excellent. The beach is the highlight of course! Located at Carlisle Bay, they offer snorkelling by the ship wreck. Included in the price. There are some water activities like trampoline and slide. The price includes some credit for food and drinks.

In short, 100% worth it for the free boat tour. We were lucky enough to see a turtle while snorkeling near the shipwreck. Sometimes the hour you take the tour affects whether you'll be able to see any turtles, apparently your chances are better if you go between 10 am and noon. I would definitely do this activity again if I had enough time. The other amenities are great too. The use of a beach chair and umbrella is convenient. There's free wifi available, clean bathrooms, and a changing area. There were other activities we weren't able to get to but they looked fun: ocean trampoline, diving from the pier, swinging from a rope at the pier into the water, basketball. The coconut shrimp was gigantic and tasty enough. The staff is very helpful and friendly. This is a place designed for tourists and it delivers good customer service.

Two words: Must Visit! If you’re visiting Barbados on a cruise and want to spend the day on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean then I highly recommend The Boat Yard. It’s suitable for all ages and has lots of amenities, food and sun loungers. The entrance fee is $35 and this includes a complimentary Rum Punch drink, a Boat Trip to see the turtles, a sun lounger and umbrella and the rope swing/inflatables. They do lots of happy hour offers where most drinks will be 2 for $10 and buckets of 5 beers for around $15-20. The beach itself is situated on Carlisle Bay which is famous for its white washed beaches and is just a sunny slice of beach heaven! Highly recommend (from an ex-cruise worker) for a fun but relaxing day out!

Great day out for us we went twice on our stay kept two teenagers occupied alday really good value for money was 280 bajan dollars for all four of us that included a boat snorkelling with turtles trip beach sun beds umbrellas and so much back on a card you can use off drinks and food we had a great day the beach is beautiful white soft sand and the sea has many activities jumps ropes and inflatables staff are friendly and helpful when needed couldn't fault it. Free Parking available.

What an amazing unique place. Very quirky. Staff always have a smile on their face .plenty drinks to choose from but not for the light hearted, you can ask for a not so strong one lol.

We had to for 4 x entry fees,even though I of us was carrying our Ramadam they wouldn't waver them . They did, however, let us spend his credit in the bar. Which was a good as the total credit for 4 people was used paying for 3 drinks and 3 meals . A memorable day was enjoyed

Ignore the bad reviews.This place is class. For 70 bajan dollars each which includes a 45 bajan dollar voucher to spend at the bar for alcohol or food.a sunbed each and an umbrella . It also includes a 30 min snorkelling tour seeing turtles (which was worth the money just for that) I would say it was one of our best days and we'll worth the visit

For many, many years I have visited the boatyard Barbados 🇧🇧 I love it and will come back soon. It’s clean the staff are the best, friendly, helpful, good food and over all great value for money. Currently $35 cover charge includes beds umbrellas, snorkel tour and taxi back to ship! Shower room clean bathrooms, no hassle beach. Use of inflatable in the sea, swing jumps from amazing pier. I just love it and know you will too. Come and try it out!💕💕

This place was amazing. The food and atmosphere was incredible.Clayton, our server was super knowledgeable, pleasant and his service was impeccable. It doesn’t hurt that the view is unmatched and that they serve the best rum punch in the island. Ceviche and amber fish amazing. Highly recommend this place.

A great location, literally the waves lapped to 2 feet away from my table. Staff was 100% friendly and welcoming. Food can be hit or miss (fries were great, lamb was just ok) but ambience and setting were unbeatable.

This is my favorite place to relax, done, and sip cocktails on the island. We come here every time we are on Barbados. So happy to celebrate my 60th birthday here in 2024 with my husband's family from Barbados and UK. Highly recommend.

Really cool spot to go to for a dinner date. All the tables and chairs are right on the sand steps away from the beach. They were playing good music and the cocktails were delicious. We tried the spicy chicken and fish tacos for appetizers and both I highly recommend. I tried the catch of the day and my girlfriend tried the pork dinner. We tried four different sides and they were all really tasty, especially the mushrooms.

Wow….oozes beach class. It’s simple and basic in a way that screams quality. It’s not cheap - good dinner (starters, mains and booze) at £200. But the location is superb - get there for sunset - it’s a game changer. But you may need a local to show you where it is. It’s not somewhere you’ll find otherwise. Great menu - local fish and good steaks. Excellent wine list. All with typically friendly Barbados staff. Loved it.

Lovely evening meal on the beach. Hadn’t booked but the girls on the front desk were fab and got us a seat right by the band who were about to start. We had the fish tacos and a couple of the desserts with some drinks which were all great. Very photogenic site with a swing seat overlooking the sunset for people who want it. Big advantage is that they have a website so you can check out the menu before you go. All round great night.

This place is amazing👏. Hands down an exceptional experience, and the service is top of the line. We got the whole chicken done on the grill, and omg, it was amazing. The appetizers with the chicken and sweet plantains were to die for. The house sauce should be bottled and sold it. This entire experience was amazing, and I will be back with a group of people.

Some restos have a few seats on the beach, this one is all on the beach. Dinner is an event with scrumptious food, great music, amazing ocean access, old movies on big screen, bonfire, torches and subdued lighting. The only minor - is Bajan time service. However the servers are extremely friendly and fun. This was definitely not the most expensive but best restaurant we went to on the island.

Absolutely beautiful spot on the beach. The perfect place to have dinner and watch the sunset. The menu is not huge but from what I saw there's something for everybody. This restaurant also has a full bar and on the night we were there a DJ.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Cabane restaurant in Barbados. The setting was absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic views of the crystal blue waters of Barbados stretching out before us. Speaking of the meal, the organic grilled veg salad with its Mediterranean-style sauce was an absolute delight. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it was clear that the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality. It was the perfect choice for a brunch by the beach. But it wasn't just the food and ambiance that stood out; the staff played a significant role in making our visit exceptional. They were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They patiently answered our questions and were willing to clarify our inquiries with the chef. If you're looking for a place that combines stunning views, delicious food, and a chic island vibe, this is the spot to visit.

What a excellent place to eat. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the the staff were lovely. And the food was great too. We change our booking from 8.00pm to 5.30, to see the sun go down, and it was perfect. Thanks for a very nice evening La Cabane.

La Cabane is a must-visit! They have a small menu with a variety of choices. The iced coffee is 👌🏻and the smoothie bowl is delicious. And you can’t beat the view under the trees right on the seaside. Make a reservation because it is popular, and definitely do Saturday morning yoga with Tiffany.

Fabulous setting, sand, trees and the waves lapping the beach. The cocktails were amazing. The food was fabulous, in fact the portions are really generous, the first time we went we ordered too much. So on the second visit I made sure I had room for dessert! The staff are lovely, it's truly a great experience.

Dreamy setting, delicious food, Caribbean service. I heard it was French owned and thought it would be well run so we came here for our final lunch in Barbados. First of all it was tough to book as they required credit card info which is quite unusual for Barbados I can only imagine. We managed to get a walk-in table in the end but clearly not one of the nicer ones. The menu was fairly short but offered many different things. We tried the fish tacos, the dips and then the brisket and the vegetarian Joker bowl. Everything tasted delicious. Service was slow despite the place full of waiters walking around and joking. There was a 30min gap between when our two starters were served so we complained. We saw a lot of people waiting for their stuff but thankfully the scene is idyllic and you should just be grateful to be next to the sea enjoying yourself. Fish tacos and brisket were standouts for me. The place also has a hammock and a swing to make for Instagrammable pics. We paid $112 for two. Would come again and recommend.

A beautiful place for some amazing food! Somewhere a bit different on the island to relax and enjoy the stunning beach views. The fish tacos we had were the best we had in Barbados and the salads were as equally impressive. This place was one of the highlights of our trip and the hospitality was fantastic.

I visited La Cabane in Barbados recently and had a great time. It's right on the beach and has a really relaxed atmosphere. The ocean view is amazing. The staff were friendly, making me feel welcome right away. I tried some seafood dishes and they were fresh and tasty. Prices seemed fair for the quality and location. The place has a chill vibe, perfect for unwinding. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. PS: Saw turtles !

I think this is the most authentic beach bar / Restaurant on the island, real rustic feel with a great menu, Fresh fish and meat served daily often grilled on a bbq on the beach, really good service and good value compared to most beach restaurants around n Barbados. We have been for lunch and dinner, both good but dinner is by candle light and very dark so difficult to see what you’re eating. The half chicken is superb, you need to book but a definite if your in Barbados 🇧🇧

Amazing place, you wouldn't know it was there. Off the main road it looked like a normal building. You enter the reception area, still simple and follow through to the end, whereby you are met by a white sandy beach with umbrellas and sun loungers. Staff were extremely polite and friendly, food was freshly made, delicious and filling, couldn't have asked for more. Cocacabana Beach Club was clean and well maintained Definitely recommend, well worth a visit 👌

This is really a review of the beach which is soft, powdery white sand. The surf is not too rough and the water is almost crystal clear. The excursion we were with entitled us to one free rum punch which was really good.

Great, chill beach club. I went on a Sunday afternoon and got the premium package. Not too crowded, all of the first row of chairs occupied. Drinks arrived pretty quickly. Locker room was very clean and fully stocked with towels and lotions. Would def come back!

Excellent way to pass the time between leaving a cruise ship and a late flight back to the UK. Doesn’t look much from the road but it’s great inside, secure lock up for the suitcases, comfy lounger and umbrellas on a clean, white sand beach, great food & drinks selection and amazing changing room facilities to shower and dress for the journey. The $50 day rate includes a $20 voucher towards lunch. Fantastic value.

Anywhere on this beach is great. We choose here because this is where the taxi dropped us off at. It cost $5 to use their facilities (bathroom and shower.) They charge for the chairs and umbrella. We only got one chair to put our stuff on while we played in the water. Lazy Lizard Water Adventures will drive their boat right up to the beach for you to do a little snorkling with a shipwreck and another area to swim with turtles. It was totally worth it.

The only thing that let it down was people who hadn't payed setting up towels in front of us on the beach front .Great team who looked after you, great food , clean bathrooms.

Five stars all the way. Best vacation of 2023. Staff was well trained and very helpful. A special thanks to Pierre and Jenel for all the help and assistance in making this a memorable time at the Sandals Resort

Amzong spot! I had one of the best grilled tuna in town! Obviously on the beautiful beach of Barbados. The hot sauce remember to ask for the hot sauce!!!

We had intended to go to Boatyard, like everyone else, but everyone else was there. So it was sold out. Our driver suggested Copacabana and we are glad he did. After some initial confusion, we got the cabana issue worked out. My complaint about that though, is that they came by and stated it was $20 for the cabana, very reasonable. But then found out that one of my kids was 13 and it was suddenly $30. Sorry, I dont consider a 13 year old an adult... I think you would do better to sell the cabana as a whole for a set price. $20 for one person or $20 for a family with kids... The bar was a bit understaffed and it took a good while to get a drink, but it did not ruin the day. The beach was nice and packed with umbrellas and chairs. The water was chilly and had a strong under current but everyone seemed to enjoy being out there. The cabana was a nice respite from the sun. I had not noticed the restaurant and other buildings until we left... I wish someone (maybe who took our $$ for the cabana) had told us about what amenities were available. Bathrooms were very clean.

Did the departure day deal, so we could chill on the beach our last day and shower and change to go direct to the flight. Lovely staff, Lisa at the front desk and Stacey? who looked after us on the beach. Thanks again!
