Specialty Museums
Located in the heart of Guadalajara, this cultural center focuses on art and culture. It features over 100 different rooms and 20 patios, as well as murals by renowned Mexican artist Jose Clemente Orozco. There is also a rich collection of other pieces by Mexican artists on display. Regular art exhibitions are held here, and there are also attractions suitable for children.
We spent our day here on a casual friday. There was a short line before entering the museum, there is a price difference for locals and tourists. You can't drink or eat during the walk and you must leave all the bags at the start. For the tourist there are 2 tours a day. You can walk yourself through the museum. The museum is very big and is inside an old hospice. They gave the medicines to the people which came from the garden. Without an guide it is very hard to walk it on the correct way, so we went all over and skipped a couple of rooms. The most famous part was very beautiful! You can see the pictures yourself (: If you ask me if this is a must see in Guadalajara I would say no, but still a nice museum if you don't have plans for the day.

A striking building, but unfortunately the expos were underdeveloped with too little historical background and context. The building is huge and wonderfully beautiful as its own history piece. I was disappointed in the staff. They were uninterested in helping patrons or making them feel at home in this public cultural space. Due to poor signage, lack of staffing, and the curmudgeon and unhelpful attitude of the present staff, we were more often lost than found. Only after we returned home did we discover we missed (never found) one half of the museum. I'm embarrassed to admit... We somehow missed half of the museum? It's disheartening a public space's value was reduced by resident employees. I expected more pride in one's city, state, and country. For $4 US it was worth seeing one half of the museum.

Came here for my last day in Guadalajara and thoroughly enjoyed it,it was on my bucket list to go see one of the greats of Mexican muralist artwork and boy was I happy to stand in its glory. Absolutely beautiful murals by Jose Clemente Orozco 🎨🎭🖌️🔥 and it's a must!!
Syra Ozaeta — Google review
This museum is HUGE - a warren of connected buildings and colonnades. You can easily spend all day. The Orozco murals are wonderful, and there is so much more

We traveled with 5 people. We paid at the taquilla per adult and one kid. My purse and backpack were not allowed, too big for their standard. They do have free tags for storage with museum staff,or private lockers for some pesos. We stored our stuff safely with staff and it was an easy pickup. We visited around noon on a Thursday and it was not busy. We took a stroller and the walkways were pretty accessible. We took plenty of pictures and enjoyed our time there. I really liked the QRC code for a history in English and Spanish. So bring your headphones/ airpods. There is a cafe that sells snacks and water because our backpack lunch wasn't allowed. The bathrooms were clean and accessible. I didn't see any baby changing tables, so that was a bummer. We would return again.

I stopped by after learning this was a former orphanage. A tour guide mentioned that kids who didn’t know their parents were given the last name of the orphanage founder. The compound now consists of mostly newer art. Probably would have been more enjoyable with a tour guide, but it’s possible to stroll around on your own and leverage the QR codes. Free admission Tuesdays.

A must see place in the Perla Tapatía. A place to explore, see and soak in. Full of history that now holds different expositions sure to capture your imagination and feed your cultural appetite.

Worth a visit in Guadalajara! Architecturally stunning building with renowned murals in the interior make for an awe inspiring experience. There is written narrative on the murals in both English and Spanish, and more throughout the building by QR code. Only 4 stars because I thought, a a while, building’s space could be more thoughtfully used with additional exhibitions.

What a beautiful experience. Our Guide Ana was very knowledgeable and animated as she described the murals. If you are visiting Guadalajara, please stop by. They have guided tours in Spanish and English.

This was the best attraction in Guadalajara in my opinion. Great art and architecture. A nice place to relax and enjoy the energy lines.

Went and saw two large art exhibits and the central cathedral. Everything was very well laid out and was wheelchair accessible with very minimal challenges (it is a pretty linear path). I'd suggest spending some time in the cathedral to absorb the murals. lay on one of the benches and just look up.

Really took me by surprise! First museum I visited in GDL. Entry fee was 85 MXN (55 if you have national ID) the oil paintings were all very unique and unlike anything I've ever seen before. A must visit if you are in town, only a 10 minute walk from the city center
Richard Ortwein — Google review
Good Architecture, History and very immersive murals. Recommend visiting the place and it had a guides. Would recommend having guides to know the insides of those murals and paintings. The art museums inside are really good.

Stunning building and beautiful architecture. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were not many people. They have a lot of different exhibitions going on there. I really like one with the self portrait. It was stunning and unbelievable. The museum is well maintained and managed. Water bottle and eateries are not allowed.
Preeti Gupta — Google review
Really nice museum with amazing murals. I would only suggest adding some context to certain art pieces since I felt that some art was amazing, but there were no clear and visible info on it. Aside from that, its a great place.

Templo Expiatorio del Santísimo Sacramento

Mentioned on
Catholic church
Sights & Landmarks
The Templo Expiatorio del Santísimo Sacramento is a beautiful, historic church located in the heart of Guadalajara. It is well worth a visit for its dramatic Gothic-style architecture and impressive stained glass windows. The temple is open daily from 07:00 to 21:00 and visitors are charged for admission.
Gothic architecture, activities around it, dancing people, artists. Let the music pierce your heart. Of course, we should not forget to travel by electric carriage. This is one of the regions that reflect the real culture of Mexico. Everything was very positive. I strongly recommend you to see the inside of the building.
Cenk Tunc — Google review
Such a beautiful church. Do yourself a favor and assure you come here. If you can talk your way into the catacombs downstairs too, it will make an experience you won't soon forget. If you can't, I've added lots of photos. There is a small show outside when the hours turn. Make time to peruse the surrounding areas. It is good manners to assure you leave a donation before you depart.
Mark Steele — Google review
It is a baroque temple and was founded in 1857 and it is a gothic architecture that characterizes it with a doll symbolizing the 12 apostles

I think it's more beautiful than the main cathedral in Centro. Tranquil, grand, beautiful. A sublime place of worship.

This church is very beautiful and architecture is stunning, from outside its incredible and going inside it just mesmerizing. Each hour there are figurines coming out from one of the towers and doing its own thing, so fun to watch and notice it. Every detail is just incredibly stunning
Mariami Betsu — Google review
Absolutely beautiful outside and on the inside as well. Lots of history and displays for all sorts of people to just come explore.
Brian Ibarra — Google review
Beautiful temple with amazing architecture. Make sure to silence your phone and respect the people praying inside.
Ismael Munoz — Google review
You can’t really beat this Neo-Gothic marvel anywhere in the Americas that I’ve seen. Impeccably built about 100 years ago to match the great gothic cathedrals of Europe. For a second, you could be in medieval England or France. Free time enter, take off your hat and respect worshippers.
Tobias Madigan — Google review
I love The Expiatorio it's rich with history about it's struggle to be built, several times it changed architectures for reasons of destiny. The clock is German made; curiously on the hour the clock chimes 25 songs and at the same time little door's open and figurines of the Apostles comes out and makes a half circle and then go back in the other door. Built in the Gothic style the columns inside are so beautiful and there are many of them. The stained glass windows and towers are awesome, and the craftsmanship is fantastic. I highly recommend that you explore this church. There's under ground parking.
DoniLaGringaLoca Goesch — Google review
Beautiful church…looks like it was built in the middle-ages, but in fact, started in the early part of last century. The clock tower with the parade of the apostles stiles on the hour.

Very nice theatre, the home of the Jalisco Symphonic Orchestra, it reminded me a bit of the theatre a la Scala in Milan. Entry is free if there are no events between the opening times for visitors (13:00 to 15:00), the orchestra and other performances happen frequently so it is worth checking the programme.

Top-end theater venue, great acoustics. Went to the 2023 Mariachi gala and was not disappointed. Teatro Degollado is a superb concert hall, with a seating capacity of around 1,600. Pro-Tip: Bar prices are predictably on the high side and the bar itself is not really large enough to cater for a full house, during the short intermissions. Pocket/purse searches happen at the door, so if you're trying to bring something in, you need to be creative.
Sasch Mayer — Google review
A beautiful building of the XIX century. Very well taken care of. Many artistic activities happening here.

Beautiful theater built in the 19th century. Dedicated to classical concerts and theater presentations. The seats in the upper levels are uncomfortable; otherwise, very good experience.

What a wonderful evening. Top tiered venue, excellent musicians, and the operatic singers accompanying them on some of the music was superb. I was not expecting such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this to anyone!

A beautiful piece of architecture and art in GDL, a true jewel. This is a neoclassical theater located in the plaza center, stunning! This is most definitely a must visit while visiting or living in GDL! A 19th century architectural masterpiece, opened in 1866. 👍👍

Looks like roman historical place, use to perform drama and Mariachi music and concerts. You can find Mariachi music performances at the entrance area. There's a common area in front of this, which includes Guadalajara sign, statues, fountain and great view of cathedral. Looks more beautiful in the night.

The new and small aquarium "Acuario Michin" in Guadalajara is worth visiting if you're interested in animals from Mexico. The main focus is on salt water and fresh water creatures, with an interesting exhibit of axolotls. It was mostly empty when we visited, but it's definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the area.
It's a smaller aquarium, however, fit in everything and more.. They had so many cool fish, you'll have your camera out the whole time. I was really surprised they even had a jump zone and laser tag lol. Also, swimming with sharks was available, well done. Unfortunately all my footage was in videos.

Great place to go with little ones and the whole family. We went through the whole museum and there was never a dull moment. The ticket or pass to enter includes a drink and time to visit the goats, the kids ticket also includes the drink and free use of bubble station, sand pit and scooters. Our tickets also included the entertainment area which had indoor trampolines and laser tag. My favorite part was seeing the many axolotes.

Complete disappointment. go there if you really have nothing else to do. might entertain your children for a couple hours. you call this an aquarium? go to Lisbon and see what an aquarium looks like. Murky waters. Tanks need lots of cleaning. Guides are useless. No English spoken. All explanations about species in Spanish. what a shame
Mikhaiil Wehbe — Google review
Definitely pay for the lemur experience that comes with the petting zoo. Also there is free ax throwing. The aquarium has great white sharks, a multitude of fish, an anaconda, and much more. This was such a fun day and we easily spent several hours here. Come early to avoid the crowds.
Existentialist Television — Google review
I remember that I went to visit the Michin Aquarium I had an incredible experience, from the moment you enter, you begin to see all the variety of aquatic and terrestrial animals, the aviary and even a farm. The place has large outdoor spaces and rest areas with the option to buy food. It´s an incredible place, you can feed the birds, mini pig, rabbits, guinea pigs and turtles, there is even interaction with sharks and feed the stingray. The Michin Aquarium is just as popular as spending a weekend at the beach.
Fer Rodríguez — Google review
Hardly anyone there. Great exhibits and you can feed the birds out of your hand.

Don’t believe the reviews that say it doesn’t take long to go through this incredible place. We spent 3 hours there and loved every minute of it. The animals - fish, birds, reptiles, mammals - are great to see up close, and for a little more you can even have up close experiences with lemurs, rabbits, and (our favorite) capybaras. There’s a great play area for kids, and good food and drink options with a large covered patio to sit on. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Caleb Lack — Google review
Great place. We have the annual membership that i jusr renewed for the 2nd time. Interaction with the animals is our favourite part. Laser tag and trampoline are also great & included in admission. Just wish there were more working lasers (max 6) . I have also noticed some dangerous deficiencies in the trampoline area on multiple occasions, each time I always tell the staff & insist it is a danger to guests & insist they fix it. They eventually address it but I believe they should have a staff member surveying the trampoline area more carefully & initiating fixes to any dangerous areas more proactively.
Christine Nguyen — Google review
Amazing place for kids. Great aquarium, outdoor patio for lunch, petting zoo, jump zone with 20+ trampolines, kids rock climbing, and more.
Doug — Google review
Very nice Aquarium. I like the stingray/manta ray exhibit. They had a person that demonstrates how to interact with them! The dining area is a great resting point. They also have a play area (including laser tag) for your little ones. Great family packages, decently priced.

They might have been having a special day because somehow we got in for free. There was also a mechanical bull for the kids to play with and cake for the people at work there.
kevin kevin — Google review
Just amazing! It's a great place to go as a family, specially if you have kids, the basic entrance of 249 pesos gives you all the acuarium exhibits, plus goat feeding and the outside peting zoo (interaction with other animals have an extra cost), as well as the kids playground.

Very nice but wish it had air conditioning. Fans at least. The fact you can interact with some animals was very exciting to our daughter.

The impressive cathedral in the heart of Guadalajara is a centuries-old building made up of a mix of architectural styles. The towers are iconic and locals are proud of its architecture, which dates back to 1854.
So beautiful to just sit on the benches and watch the sun go down behind the cathedral. Guadalajara is beautiful! The streets are so busy, and there are merchants everywhere. The architecture is stunning. Not many cafes in the center through. I probably wouldn’t stay all day in the center around the cathedral, a few hours max. Thanks for hosting someone from the USA 🇺🇸❤️

Church is beautiful inside out. So much history and streets are clean and well kept. The architecture alone is impeccable, but what's truly stood out was the glass windows and paintings throughout.

Beautiful old Building. It is wonderful to see the history of the area. It still is amazing how people built those things without modern equipment. It was nice to have a local explain all of the buildings history to me. I have been there probably 10 times already. I'm sure I will be back. It is also close to San Juan De Dios for some great shopping!

The mexican restaurant Birriería las 9 Esquinas offers a hearty and delicious goat stew dish that is well-loved by locals and tourists alike. The colorful interiors of the restaurant create an enjoyable atmosphere for diners to enjoy, and the fresh tortillas that come with your dish make it easy to enjoy tacos with your favorite fillings.
Birrieria is one of the food you should try when in Guadalajara and I think this is an excellent place for that. The place itself looks really cute and very homemade vibe. Food was delicious and service good. We chose one birriera for sharing and also a dessert.
hiieliin — Google review
The restaurant is located in a small plaza with a beautiful fountain located in 9 corners. Birria is good. Cheeseburgers are good too. The service is great and they provide several salsas/toppings with chips. Food takes a while and the kitchen is visible so you are able to see the cooks making the food. It's difficult to find parking.
Marla M. — Google review
To start the refried beans were delicious!!! Typical birria (goat) was good, but the chicken soup with vegetables, and rice was delicious too. The vegetable soup was good, very similar to vegetable minestrone. Horchata drink was great, not too sweet and not too much cinnamon. Prices were low, but just so you know the portions are small, except the birria that you ask for the size you want.
Jacqueline Hernandez — Google review
Birria de chivo tatemada caldosa was 😋! The enchiladas Verde were as expected. The aguas (horchata and jamaica) were flavorful. The tortillas and chips and salsas were all very good and fresh. Service was fast. Bonus - they accept credit cards! NOTE: if you are not a fan of mariachi music, don't sit near the front entrance. The bands walk around playing and they were right next to our table.

Found this place while staying in Guadalajara for a week. The area of this restaurant has a little park with a fountain and a cool little neighborhood. There are some other Birria restaurants in the neighborhood but this one is the BEST ! they have a patio area that you can sit out on which is great. The staff are very nice and right on top of everything. The Quesabirria tacos with consomé where NICE ! The caldo Telalpeño had crazy flavor. The cochinita pibil was good as well ..... Close to what you get in the Yucatan. If you're in the area DEFINITELY make sure you stop in !

This place is a must-go in Guadalajara to have an excellently-prepared local staple: birria. Everything here is made very fresh. The decor and atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, though a little kitschy. Special mention to the quesadillas made with huitlacoche: it's an ingredient difficult to find in other countries, so I'm very glad to have gotten to try it here!

Closer to 4.5 in each category than 4... Nice spot sort of hidden away from the buzzy cathedral area but a real find. Nice looking inside and out, with a good vibe and you sit on the edge of an open prep kitchen. Lively. The place seemed to serve loyal locals and I can see why: prompt service, a welcoming attitude, and a nice menu. Fair prices. I had chicken mole enchiladas and they were excellent -- you get 3 per order with beans and rice. Lots of chicken. The table salsas are excellent, 3 different kinds with chips, plus onions marinated. Employees -- wait staff and kitchen staff -- seem to enjoy their work and are fun to watch. The mariachis came by at one point -- a solid group with a soulful singer. One of the better iterations of the popular and ubiquitous genre. Well worth a visit and only 8-10 minute walk from cathedral.

No trip to Jalisco is complete without savoring the irresistible delight of birria, a culinary treasure originating from the northern province with a fascinating backstory. Interestingly, "birria" originally meant "worthless," a playful jest from Spanish conquistadors enchanted by this flavorful creation. 😂 Enter Birriería las 9 Esquinas, where the magic of birria unfolds amidst sun-kissed gardens and a symphony of flavors. Imagine indulging in tender goat birria and queso con carne, complemented by the comforting warmth of cafe de olla. It's akin to receiving a warm embrace from the heart of Guadalajara itself! So, if you find yourself in town, heed the call to tradition and treat your taste buds to an unforgettable experience – they'll undoubtedly thank you for it!

We tried lots of spots in Guadalajara and this one was easily the best quesabirria in the city. We also tried the sopes and the molletes and for dessert Jericaya which is like a Mexican crème brûlée- top quality food, this should be a must visit if you visit the city!

Offering a unique and authentic Mexican cuisine, Restaurante Allium features local produce in dishes that are both delicious and visually appealing. Chef partners Adolfo Galnares and Maria Ortega use fresh seafood as the star of the menu, with other hearty dishes such as grilled pork chop and braised lamb also available. The restaurant is light and airy, with a semi-enclosed patio that makes optimum use of Guadalajara's temperate climate.
We are not ones to wax on poetically about a dinner experience, but last night at Allium is worth chatting about. A wonderful, chef centric restaurant with a tight menu, well balanced, ethically sourced, bravo. Atmosphere, music, service, etc…totally on point. Not often do we get goosebumps, but there were several over dinner. We had the tuna crudo and beet carpaccio for appetizers, absolutely lovely. The mains were fish with sikil oak and duo of beef, so tasty, so well presented, thank you Maria (chef)! Almost forgot about the bread service, shame on me, it was memorable. Dessert was their chocolate one (sorry don’t remember the name) recommended by our excellent chef Alexis, divine. We will be going again on this trip for sure. Again Bravo 👏

Allium was the gastronomical highlight of my trip to Guadalajara. A really cute open air boutique restaurant with great menu and good selection. On our visit they had 241 promotion for wine. The food uses freshest local seasonal ingredients and were beautifully presented. We were hesitant to try the ant larvae (Mexican caviar) but curiosity got the better of us and we’re glad it did! It was cooked in garlic butter on top of freshly baked brioche. It was savoury and sweet; amazing taste sensation. Unfortunately our meal got cut short due to heavy storms and they lost electricity. We were gutted and went back the next day as we really wanted to try their duck breast and Ox tongue. Unfortunately their electricity was still out 😫 Adolfo was so apologetic and gave us a bottle of tequila. We were so touched by his king gesture. Which restaurant does that?! We’ll definitely have to do another trip to Allium to complete our meal.

The food is very good, tasty and well portioned. The wine selection is nice but the good options are just available by bottle.

From start to finish this restaurant experience was amazing. The food was definitely the star. Each dish was amazingly balanced and was a combination of wonderful flavors. Service was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is set up so you can see the chef crew preparing dishes, and it makes for a very fun experience watching the team put together your meal.

The best experience, open kitchen. Unique flavors, the chef visits the tables! So so so good!

This restaurant is in a class above the rest. From the owners / chefs, who operate an open concept kitchen, to the staff that will take the best care of your every need. The mushrooms were fresh and amazing. Totoaba was incredible. Wine selection was good. This has a fresh and welcoming atmosphere with a modern twist. Thank you!!!.

The duck I had was partially good, but the sweet potatoes were undercooked, and some of the other flavors didn't really blend well within the dishes. But I loved the atmosphere, and the open-kitchen concept.

Unique fusion food with an open chef’s table and elite service. I love when fine dining spots are open during lunch! We want lunch too! I ordered the Mexi-Thai fish curry with eggplant and mushroom. It's one of those dishes I respect for it's blend but I don't want to eat again. I like the menu and know each dish is thought out with flavor. Complimentary bites and bread given.

I thoroughly enjoyed my leisurely coursed lunch at Allium. I sat on the outside patio and enjoyed people watching between dishes. The service was friendly and attentive, the dishes beautifully plated, good wine & the food was fresh and flavorful. I would happily return here on my next visit to Guadalajara.

We had a great meal, in a beautiful atmosphere, and the best service we experienced in Guadalajara. The mamey crème brûlée in particular was out of this world.

We had a great time at this restaurant! The staff was friendly and the service was good! I visited there with a friend from Belgium. It is a good memory in our list of places in Guadalajara. We got a nice dinner with some traditional Mexican dishes, a bottle of sparkling wine and yummy dessert.

Latina is a cutting-edge, trendy restaurant with a bar that features eclectic cuisine from diverse regions in Mexico, Asia and Mediterranean cuisine. The décor is retro-inspired and the cocktails are imaginative. The menu has an international flair and the service is excellent.
Delicious food!! We went on a Wednesday night for dinner. We had the reservation and got our table in the terrace area as soon as we reach there. The food we ordered was delicious and fulfilling. We ordered shrimps spring rolls, pork belly tacos and a dessert (Don’t remember the name). The service was fast and the servers were really nice and helpful. The whole ambience of the place is really nice and calming. Definitely going again and highly recommended.

We had an absolutely fantastic night out and dinner at I Latina again. The place is eclectic and fun, the drinks are super well done, the bartenders know their stuff....Great selection of wines, too. The food was amazing: they had a special appetizers crab cake that was sooooo good, the tuna tacos were a highlight and so were the chicken (sous bide on grilled pineapple and salsas) and the Thai shrimp (the spices were ridiculously good). Our waitress was the nicest and sweetest person ever and so attentive and fast. Amazing service. All in all a fabulous experience, I can't wait to go back.

Quirky place with great food and good service. We had the tuna tacos, the duck with mole and the chocolate truffle. Everything was delicious!

Incredible food, excellent service, vibe is perfect! One of the best restaurants in GDL!

Happy with our experience here. Apparently, used to be a former auto repair shop. Even though we were absolutely the only American tourists in the packed dining room. There was no problem with communication. Try the shrimp tacos that use jícama as the shell. We had all three steaks on menu, the langoustines, and fresh ceviche. The lemon drink was a great way to start. Wine list is quite friendly to all tastes also. It's easy to see why this place was packed. DJ was setting up upon our departure...so you may plan your night accordingly.

Tacos tropical are a must, pretty much everything in the menu is tasty, last time the service was very slow (and the place wasn’t full) and the roof was leaking due to the rain, so they had to change our table they need to work on that.

Good vibe, great music and excellent bartenders. The food is amazing in the way it's present and the taste and texture. Nice fusion. This awesome place is a hidden treasure tucked away in an alley until you enter the place. Definitely come check it out

Easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life.. everything so unique and tasty and the service & atmosphere was excellent. Thank you

We were treated by a friendly hostess who offered us options on where we preferred to sit. They have different areas with unique beautiful decorations. Our waiter Charlie asked us what we enjoyed or didn't like to give us suggestions on our starters. We quickly learned we can trust his recommendations and the food is delicious. We tried the tropical taco, spicy shrimp, baby back ribs with a good old fashion.

I have been traveling to Guadalajara every few months to visit my girlfriend (now fiancé) for about four years now. Given the distance, we try to get in as many "date nights" as we can in the time I'm here. I Latina is easily as good as or better than any dining experience we've had in Guadalajara. In a city that offers so many excellent dining experiences, I Latina manages to stand out. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. The wait staff, also excellent, managed to ride that very fine line between friendly and professional. I cannot say enough. Thank you for an excellent evening out.

Hamburger restaurant
Pig’s Pearls is a restaurant that offers Mexican craft beers on its menu, as well as a variety of hamburgers. The burgers can be made with different toppings and combinations, making it a popular choice for anyone looking for something different.
This hamburger sings! Every part melds together. The homemade hamburger bun with a light aoli does not overwhelm the perfectly charred meat and melted cheese. Oh, the homemade pickle adds the perfect little bite. This is the best hamburger that we've had in Mexico. Prompt service and cozy atmosphere. Don't miss this in the Colonia Americana area of Guadalajara. We will definitely be back .

one for the best gourmet burgers in Guadalajara, a very chilled place to hang out with friends and family. you can switch french fries for a salad.
Valeria Correa — Google review
Delicious burgers with thick patties, great choice of artisanal beer. We got maple and chimichurri (which by the way could have used a bit mor chimichurri sauce), the were both juicy. The burgers come with salad or fries for your choice. The service was great
Alisa Karasik — Google review
The cheeseburger was stunning, and the serving of house made pickles was very generous. The beer list is extensive but would benefit from some descriptions. Pricing was reasonable and service was prompt. It is worth a return visit.

Went there with couple of friends on Saturday evening. The ambience was good and I really enjoyed the music at this place. I ordered Chicken burger which was ok ok type. The fries I got with my burger was soggy. We also tried their all the deserts in the menu. Guava pie was really nice, cheesecake was good too and I didn’t like the brownie. The service was fast. The staff was friendly.

Easy review...just go! The burgers are "Simple & Good" and this place, for me, is the Gold standard Guadalajara.

This really surprised us! The food here is top notch. I had the pastor burger which had so much flavor and was so juicy. My husband had the lamb burger. These were some of the best burger we've ever had! When we move here next year we'll definitely be coming here regularly.

Who I presume to be the owner or manager was the one to greet us. He was super accommodating in regard to picking a table for us that was comfortable for two adults two kids and a baby on a baby chair, without us asking. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food was AMAZING, best hamburger I’ve ever had. (Cordero) I loved that the tables had a really decent space between them so it doesn’t feel overcrowded and loud.

Second visit was even better the first. The beer selection is hard to beat in Mexico. Excellent on-tap choices. Chicken burger was great- crunchy with a house-made brioche bun. Fries were also great. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. Even on a busy Saturday night the wait was zero and the food came out quickly.

Discovered wonderful beer that was like chocolate: Loba negra. Sangria was light, not too sweet and very refreshing. Pirtabelka hamburger was just right with the queso that provided the richness to complement the portabella mushroom texture.

To list down best burgers in this city, it is not so match my imagination. Maple burger is too greasy for me, I prefer something light vegetables add inside to balance . The French fried is a little bit dry. Total service is good and friendly.

Amazing burgers! Probably the best you'll taste in Guadalajara. The buns are soft and delicious, the meat is ultra-tasty, the toppings are really well paired altogether in a fantastic combination of flavours. Overall they have superb burgers; the place is clean and comfy with a nice setting. Service is great and staff is really amicable. Keep up the good work!

Sunday 4pm, short wait. Went alone, they sat me on a table for four. I enjoyed the music while I worked. Ordered the jaiba "crab" croquettes and they were delicious. Had the berry spritz, good but forgettable, the apple cider was a good alternative to beer but nothing to rave about. I ordered lamb burger and it was delicious. Both the burger and the french fries portion were on the small side. Burger was delicious, bread was soft and fresh, meat was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The fries were piping hot and the sauces really good. To me as female and having had an entire appetizer to myself, portion size of burger and fries was ok but for a 200lb guy, needs at least two burgers. Quality is on point tho. Update: Dic 2022. Tried the fried chicken burger. Just do it.

Brunch restaurant
Café PalReal is a laid-back restaurant located in the heart of Arcos Vallarta. This spot is known for its delicious and affordable menus that are perfect for budget-minded travellers, as well as its rich coffee experience. The spot has garnered a following among locals and celebrity chefs alike – making it one of Guadalajara's most popular spots for brunch.
An excellent place for brunch. The ambiance is casual trendy, and they have a variety of seating areas, in the front and the back and mostly open air. The food here is tasty, with some unique menu items; a creative chef. I had the old fashioned coffee, which was very good and something you’d find at a top cocktail bar. There usually is a wait for brunch but they are efficient. Friendly staff, good service.

Came to this place every morning I was in Guadalajara. First off, the coffee was perfect. I tried multiple coffees as espresso and the natural process beans from Veracruz absolutely blew my mind! The soft biscuits with passion fruit jam were exceptional, and my egg dish was great too. Ingrid was so friendly and helpful. Love PalReal!!
Seth Kallen — Google review
My visit to Cafe Palreal in Guadalajara left much to be desired. The food, unfortunately, fell below my expectations, with offerings that were decidedly below average in taste and presentation. It seemed like a missed opportunity for a culinary delight. The service, while not notably poor, failed to leave any lasting positive impressions. It was a functional experience, but nothing about it stood out as particularly special or attentive. The lack of exceptional service added to the overall mediocrity of the visit. In conclusion, Cafe Palreal might be an option if you're in need of a quick bite, but for those seeking a memorable culinary or service experience, there are likely better choices in the area. The cafe has room for improvement to truly stand out in the competitive food scene of Guadalajara.

Great place. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Food really good. We went around 1:30 and had a great leisurely breakfast on the back terrace. Defiantly recommend the back terrace. And the coffee. So good.

A wonderful place, will definitely be back to check more items. Coffee, drinks, and food were all excellent. Pancita sandwich is a must try , it’s not a classic for nothing ! Service was excellent too, and it features a great people watching of sophisticated, yet not snobby Tapatios mixed with visitors.

Great service. Good food. Very cool atmosphere. You will wait 20-60m on the weekend, so be prepared for that. The food was all delicious although some dishes stops out much more than others so I would recommend sharing with friends. Overall would come back.

The best coffee shop i’ve tried in Guadalajara. Great food and good coffee bean variety. The filtered drinks were really nice on the mouth. The milk based drinks were a little taim on the flavor, not enough punch on the taste but good and enjoyable. I’ll go back for sure.

Really, really loved this spot! Sat here with a friend for a few hours visiting over a delicious meal, drinks ☕, and a dessert. They nailed the ambiance with the decorations, open feel, all the plants... Bravo! And the food was truly delicious, too.

the food here is excellent. we tried a few dishes and all of them were good, not one dish was mediocre. The coffee is good and also have a selection of tea and fresh juice. The only reason I do not give them 5 starts is the service. The restaurant was not packed or super busy, it was normal i would say and we waited about 20 min to get our order in, another 15 to wait for the few dishes they forgot to bring out and had to ask for the bill twice . The staff was friendly not rude at all just forgetful.

The atmosphere and decor and presentation are superb. I also found the staff VERY friendly and professional and my server even spoke excellent English. The food was expensive and in my opinion the taste did not match the price and the portion was very small. I think what’s happening, unfortunately in the Instagram age, is that restaurants are putting looks over taste, because you can’t post great taste in an Instagram photo or YouTube video. This is a shame. I’d take great taste any day over great presentation if I had to choose. I would like to return to this beautiful place and try another dish.
