Restaurant
At Finca Altozano, Javier Plascencia creates a relaxing and scenic campestre restaurant where local ingredients are used. The open kitchen concept allows guests to see the chefs preparations, and the views of the valley below are breathtaking.
Very adorable property! We enjoyed the biscuits and risotto. There are other restaurants/shops in the same area to explore as well as some livestock. I would recommend that you show up early or explore after you eat.

Great atmosphere! Most of the dishes we tried were fantastic, oysters could be better, loved churros. Staff was nice, our server checked the table constantly but could be better about explaining dishes and coursing. (We arrived early and tried coffee from the place near the restaurant, ice latte with lavender was so good.) They have huge parking. Make sure you go there hungry, it will be great experience!

Beautiful place with lots of picture ops. But the best part is the food. We ordered a lot of their food and everything was amazing. The sourdough bread was delightful.

Beautiful open air restaurant overlooking the Valle de Guadalupe. Disturbing was all the dogs roaming the property who have free rein and sit themselves at the dinner tables begging for food. It gives the impression that sanitation is not a concern and as it turned out I got very ill in the evening and all through the night following my dinner at this restaurant.
itsallgooddm1 Maldonado — Google review
Someone else mentioned this, but I also needed to point it out. There are a ton of dogs roaming in the restaurant while you are eating, the waiters and servers are also petting them in between serving food! This is not an appropriate setting and I don’t know how the owners of the establishment permit this. (I am from Mexico and even restaurants in the hood do not allow dogs to annoy patrons) But aside from that, the food to price value was not there for this region. You are paying top dollar for mediocre taste. However, the drinks are definitely some of the best I’ve had in a while! I’d definitely recommend the specialty cocktails they serve. Also enjoy the view from the oversized wine barrel that has stairs leading to the top of it.

Fantastic experience and food! We shared the calamari and a bottle of wine. The entrees were delicious. Beautiful property to enjoy and walk around to take photos. Service was friendly and did a good job. Will be going back!

Go for the food and you won’t be disappointed, but once you take a look at the place you will fall in love. This restaurant is a complete package, food, service and the location make the great experience…. You will go back for more. This place is pet friendly and it’s so close to nature that you will see little wild creatures around the restauran. Restauran has plenty of shade to protect you from the sun. If you go you will have the last word. Hope you get tempted by the pics.

I've been here many times! I keep bringing family and friends to the deliciousness here. Check out the photos! I definitely recommend these dishes. Dishes were Rib, Borrego, and a must try is the Octopus! It's marinated in odk what, hahah! But it's amazing, I promise you. If you go, send me a message and let me know what you thought. You definitely need reservations here. Do so with plenty of time. This place is always full, which is a good sign.

Nice place, great for walking around after a delicious dinner or brunch. They have coffee and Ice cream place too! They have parking and restrooms.

Javier Plascencia is the Tijuana born star chef who opened this restaurant in 2012 and is credited with putting Baja, California cuisine on the map. I love a restaurant which has best-in-class food but one in which the ambiance is more casual. One of the best things I have ever eaten in life was the grilled octopus from the pacific with soy sauce, citrus, ginger, cilantro and roasted peanuts. If Asia and Mexico had a baby, this would be it. I shall forever more dream of this dish. I also had the blue fin tuna tostada; was going to order the tuna tartare but the waiter said that this was more flavorful. My boyfriend got the zarandeado catch of the day, which he also loved. The service was spot on; friendly and attentive.

WOW! Great place to have a feast! I've always heard great things about this place and it didn't disappoint me and my group of 13 people. We ordered a lot of options from the menu and everything I tasted was fresh and delicious. Big shout out to the tuna tostada, octopus appetizer, vegetarian pasta, ribs, and fresh bread made in-house at their little bakery and the churros!!! After lunch, take some time to explore the premises and enjoy the beautiful rustic space and pet the goats and pigs! I can't wait to be back soon.

Amazing place to eat. Dishes were amazing, they have really nice presentations. You must to try the sopes with shrimp, cocktails are good they could be better, the atmosphere was really cool and the views from the restaurant are pretty cool, lovely gardens I love the decorations. Please make sure to have a reservation, they are full all time.

Consistently the best restaurant in the Valle. For the person who complained about dogs walking around in the outdoor seating area, you are missing the point. The dogs are part of the charm. The food speaks for itself. Super welcoming, chill and delicious food.
high_rum — Google review
This was a kind of exotic outdoorsy spot. They have some interesting dishes like quail, lamb (cooked two ways), beef ribs. My husband got a beef rib and it was loaded with meat that fell of the bone. Super savory! I got the lamb cooked Japanese style. It was super tender and had a great taste, but I tasted a friend’s lamb that was cooked on the grill. That was awesome! The scenery and the rustic setting made it exceptional! The service was excellent! We will definitely be returning!

If you can time your visit for sunset, do it. The golden hour transforms the vineyards into a canvas of warm hues. And as we just sat on the open patios the views were spectacular, then after the sun went down they light the fire pits. As I sat on the patio, overlooking the vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe, I felt a sense of tranquility. The rustic wooden tables and the gentle breeze set the stage for a memorable meal. Now the oysters were a revelation. Plump, briny, and served on a bed of crushed ice, they tasted like the sea itself. A squeeze of lime and the accompanying oils elevated their flavor. Now the rustic bread, was the best I've had, warm from the oven, it had a crust that crackled as I tore into it. The soft interior was perfect. The cheese plate we ordered featured a delightful medley of local cheeses. Creamy goat cheese, aged manchego, and I honestly forgot the names of the other cheeses, but just to say that we ate cheese would be a very drastically underwhelming, as the flavors danced on my palate. Accompanied by a chutney that paired oh so good with the cheeses. In a Nutshell: Finca Altozano’s oysters, rustic bread, and cheese plate are a celebration of local ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. It’s a slice of Baja California heaven on a plate. ¡Salud! 🥂🍽️

By far our favorite restaurant in Ensenada. The vibe and the quality of food served in this restaurant is outstanding. My recommendations are the mushroom risotto, the chicken, the cod, and the oysters. The ambience is really cozy and great for families.

Went here on a double date after a day of wine tasting. The food and cocktails are delicious. the property is lovely. Definitely stop by the wine and ice cream shop on the way out.

Good quality and variety of food! The staff are friendly and helpful. Reservations are essential and credit cards are accepted. It is unfortunate that you have to use their own booking form submission instead of one of the more common platforms.

Such an awesome spot, worth the visit, but make shure to make reservations early, the place is huge! we saw some animal and kids running and having fun all over the place, this country cuisine bases its menu on products from the region; Its patio is made up of an orchard, the vineyard and the corrals, prices are not bad, service is excellent, the rustic décor is simple and natural, it will make you feel so relax and chill

Fine dining restaurant
The Caesars Restaurant-Bar, which is said to have originated the Caesar salad, has been serving up Italian cuisine in Tijuana since the 1920s. The restaurant's elegant wood bar and Art Deco calligraphy look unchanged from that era, while the checkerboard floor and amber wall lights reflect in myriad mirrors. Salads are still prepared table-side and dressed in smart suits by skilled staff just as they were back then.
5 star dining. Outstanding preparation of classics and a nice variety of innovative me dishes. Obviously the Cesar Salad is exceptional, (have it prepared at your table,) but there is so much more to appreciate here. Give it a try. Worth the hassle of finding parking. The grilled octopus is the best I've had anywhere. And the seafood risotto was excellent. Service was top notch. Beautiful classic wood paneled architecture. Great cocktails too!

During my recent trip to Tijuana, I had the pleasure of dining at the iconic Caesar's Tijuana, a dining establishment with a history as rich and flavorful as the cuisine it serves. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was transported to a bygone era of sophistication and indulgence. The restaurant's history is interwoven with the creation of the renowned Caesar Salad, and dining at Caesar's Tijuana is like stepping into a time machine that takes you back to where it all began. The dimly lit interiors, elegant decor, and classic jazz music playing in the background create an atmosphere of timeless charm. Every detail, from the linen-covered tables to the polished silverware, adds to the sense of occasion.

The food was delicious. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The beef Wellington was cooked perfectly. The sangria Barcelona was probably one of the best sangria I’ve ever had. The espresso martini was very, very smooth, and the best thing that they have here is honestly the Caesar salad the dressing was probably one of the best Caesar salad dressing I’ve ever tasted. and you cannot forget DESERT, the crème brûlée was heavenly .

The staff is friendly and attentive. Reservations are highly recommended although they take walk-ins the wait is less if there’s a reservation. Masks are required to enter the facility. The famed Cesar salad is prepared in front of you and has an amazing flavor, of course different from what is served in the states. The bill shows the amount owed both in US dollars or Mexican pesos making it convenient to know how much is being paid for those coming from the states.

RECOMMENDED! Make sure to get reservations, highly suggested since they are always packed! There is no dress code, I've seen a variety of dressiness here, so no worries. Service was outstanding and quick, food also came out pretty quick. Food was delicious, however.. the portions are smaller than your typical dish. I ordered a T-bone, but it was a couple of small pieces of T-bone's, but it was delicious nevertheless... Just keep that in mind and order more dishes, you wont regret it. Obviously, you have to order the Caesar's salad, but make sure to order enough for the table.. I mistakenly order just one order for the whole table, don't make that mistake. Memorable items: Calamari, Caesar's fries and Seafood Risotto. Recommended for good food and good times with friends.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Mexico that served an incredible steak and Caesar salad that was made table side. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. The steak was perfectly cooked to my liking, with a mouthwatering char on the outside and a juicy, tender interior. It was seasoned to perfection and melted in my mouth with every bite. The accompanying Caesar salad was equally outstanding, with fresh, crisp lettuce, tangy dressing, and shaved Parmesan cheese. What really set this dining experience apart, however, was the table side preparation of the Caesar salad. The waiter brought all the ingredients to our table and expertly mixed them together in front of us, creating a delicious and personalized salad that was truly unforgettable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience in Mexico. The steak and Caesar salad were both outstanding, and the table side preparation added an extra level of excitement and entertainment to the meal.

The Original Cesar Salad! WoW. Simple balanced and most importantly DELICIOUS! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The experience was great. Thanks Ivan. The attention from staff was great. The Building is beautiful and lets face it its the Birth Place of the Cesar Salad. Perhaps the most popular Salad in the world. The pasta dishes were well served in portion however there's opportunity for better quality pasta. The Spaghetti Bolognese was on point 👌 and as I expected very good but not amazing (better than Olive Garden X100). The egg on the Carbonara was a it overcooked but I expected it because it we were a party of 20+ there's no way in hell I expected them to pull that off overall, the taste was there. The Risotto de Mare was my favorite! OMG! Perfectly cooked one of the best I've had. I would recommend this to everyone! The Desert was delicious as well . I usually take plenty of pictures but the was busy eating as much as I could.

I visited Caesar’s before a 2 pm dentist appointment with a friend who needed to catch a 4pm flight. We arrived as they opened at 12 and after rushing through my entree, I barely arrived to my appointment on time (5 blocks away) The service was excruciatingly slow. I understand the cultural difference of time, and not wanting to rush, but the long wait times between everything was anxiety inducing for both of us. The meal at their pace would have easily been 3 hours plus. 10 minutes before getting a drink. Another 10-15 minutes before we were asked about ordering. There was nothing wrong with the pace, just don’t come here if you have any other time restrictions or come to Caesar’s afterwards. The food though was amazing. I have a feeling the olive butter and bread will go down as one of the single best things I’ll ever put in my mouth. I can easily recommend the spicy pulpa (octopus). Simply amazing. My friend ordered the fried calamari and while it was good, I didn’t find it as amazing as the octopus. For my entree, I ordered the chef special t bone steak. It was not what I expected, as it was 3 very small steaks, but delicious at the same time. It was enough food for a meal, but a little expensive for the quantity of food I was anticipating. My advice is to order more courses and appetizers and go with a more basic entree…and settle in for a very long and drawn out meal.

I love the service and food. Cesar salad is made at table side. The pics, the bar and food are all phenomenal. A must visit at least once. I always bring friends and family. Good job always!

Was there on Monday 3/14/22 around 4:30pm. No wait. Was seated inside. There is also outdoor seating. My server Luis was amazing! Because this is the iconic place where the Caesar salad was created, I had to try it. The salad and it’s fresh dressing is prepared table side, all from scratch! I enjoyed a delicious salmon dish with a nice glass of red wine. You have to try Caesar’s and their salad!
Coly Moreno — Google review
Incredible food and amazing staff! I started with their fresh made Caesar salad, tableside, as an appetizer, a mojito, and bottled water. The drink was good but a little too "herby" over minty so I ordered a margarita instead; so good! My beef Wellington came shortly after and it was cooked perfectly. Meat was tender and the crust was flaky. I thought I was done until the waiter brought me a dessert menu. I about died. I ordered the creme brulee. I wasn't a fan of the brulee mainly cause of the char on top made it slightly bitter, I think that's normal and expected with this dessert. Either way I would 100% return and recommend this place.

What a wonderful experience. The home of the original Caesar salad. An must try for anyone who loves an upscale experience. It's not expensive to enjoy thus place. We weren't very hungry, so we just ordered the salad and a meat and cheese plate. We are definitely going back again. Update, went back to eat here. The onion soup was sub-par, and my food was cold. The menu is a throwback to the 70’s. Loved the atmosphere and the staff, but the menu needs updating. Still enjoyed the experience.

I'd been wanting to eat here for years and it didn't disappoint. A real Tijuana institution. Don't just come for the Caesar salad, enjoy it with a full meal. The bone marrow sopes were next level. The steak was perfectly cooked and the flan might have been the best we've had.

Great service and food, the prices are not bad. This is a favorite spot relaxed atmosphere. Original creator of the Cesar salad. A must try experience when you are in Tijuana

Very nice experience to be in this historical place where my favorite Caesar salad was invented 99 years ago! Clean and organize place, great service, they make the salad in your table! Our beef Wellington was overcooked but everything else was delicious!

Finally visited this legendary restaurant after walking by many times previously. Caesar salad is naturally a must and it is still served tableside. Great value and the food was fine, though the beef wellington could have admittedly been a bit less well done. Minus one star because I felt like a schnorrer when my credit card didn't work and I paid cash instead. The same card worked immediately before and immediately afterwards at merchants just a few blocks away in Tijuana, so this was a merchant issue that I had to follow-up on after returning home. Nonetheless this meal was a great experience and I'm glad I finally did it.

This restaurant is obviously iconic. So many famous people have graced this Tijuana gem. The cuisine is exquisite, so affordable and the decor makes you feel like you're walking thru a museum for Tijuana. Service is great. Especially Misael who was funny, courteous, and very service oriented. I always try my best to visit this fine establishment whenever I'm near.

This place is totally awesome. Love Caesar salad. And this is the OG place to go! They make it right in front of you. It's so creamy and delicious. All fresh ingredients. I was only sad because I had already eaten my way through Tijuana and could try anything else! It's totally worth the stop. The atmosphere is great! White tablecloth service, but there is no need to dress up.

Seafood restaurant
La Guerrerense Carreta is a seafood restaurant in Ensenada that has been serving ceviche, seafood salad, tacos, and more since the 60s. Even chefs like Anthony Bourdain have taken a lunchtime pew at this simple stall, where Sabina Bandera and her family have been preparing amazing food on the spot for decades. The street stall only opens a few days a week, so be sure to check it out if you're in the area!
I recommend going earlier rather than later in the day as they run out of food fairly quickly. I’ve never seen them completely run out of food but the choices become very limited later in the day. Their tostadas are famous and they do live up to the hype. The service is really quick so I wouldn’t be discouraged by a long line. It is all seafood but they have a good variety, so you can find something for everyone’s taste.
Jose Mario Hank — Google review
My wife knows how much I love Mexican food and I’m blessed to have someone thoughtful enough to take me to what are considered the best tostadas in the world (a Bourdain fact). Anyway they’re all right cause I instantly tasted the mix of flavors in a neatly packed tostada and realized what I had been missing my whole life. It’s not all they have try everything on the half shell if that’s your thing. Everyone must try once in their life kinda place. Thank you.

One of my favorite places to visit in Ensenada. I get the almejas(clam cup) cocktail, here they don't mix it with other clams just pismos. Always consistant and very tasty. Service is good and very quick. I first seen this place Anthony Bourdain stopped here so I have been coming here ever since. Only thing missing from the menu is abalone. Enjoy.

High quality "tostada de ceviche". The are not something from another world buy certainly it is worth to go and try some of the most common ones. For 30 pesos (1.5 dlls) each, you can try a variety of tostadas. I don't recommend the expensive ones, just not worth it to pay 4 times more for the same amount of food just made with expensier ingredients.

We had their fish, octopus, crab salad and mango ceviche.all of their ceviches we tried were excellent.they were sold out of a few. I would return anytime to try the rest of their menu. Good service Good food

Holy Jesus, this is the best seafood taco place in the world. You must try at least once in your life. It will change the definition of taco, especially to people think it's weird to have fish in taco instead of meat. Yum 😋 Super recommended. You need to eat it on the street though
Rae Lee (Raemen) — Google review
The famous La Guerrense serve us cold fish and shrimp tacos. Stay the hell away from the restaurant. Stick to the stands that serve much better quality at a much better price. We weren’t served a drink until halfway through our meals. The stand may be quality but the brick and mortar had poor service and poor quality
Tristan Benedict — Google review
I really wanted to try this because I know how big Anthony Bordain liked this spot in Ensenada. I didn't have much cash so we chose the restaurant instead of the cart. Not too many people yet but it was only 11 am but there were still a decent amount of people in the restaurant.  I ordered a Fish Taco and California Common beer.  The beer had HELLA HELLA salt, a little too much.  The Fish Taco was very good but very simple.  I wish I tried the seafood tostada but I was still full from the other place so didn’t eat too much.
Josh Baltazar — Google review
The food was fantastic. Super fresh seafood. The staff was wonderful. They made great recommendations and were super patient explaining what everything was. The only problem is that it's street food, so there is no seating. Although if I was able to sit, I might how ate more. And I was very full already.
Wendy Wu — Google review
This is about a food cart. So keep in mind that you will be standing up eating or sitting down on some dirty stairs or curb. Having said that, I'd prefer their fresh tuna or octopus ceviche tostadas and seafood cocktails over any sit down restaurant in the world. It's that good. Really.

This is one of the best street sea food stands that I've been in Ensenada. The flavor and combination of different items are right on the spot. Great and friendly service.

Renowned foodie Anthony Bourdain did a whole show on this now-famous street food place. Bourdain said this was some of the best food he's ever had. Hard to argue! I had the mixed ceviche tostada. 35 pesos. And some of the milder toppings. Met mama, Sabina Bandera and 2 of her sons, Luis and Edgar Oviedo. Lots of other family also working this spot and restaurant across the street. Grandma came to Ensenada 48 years ago from Guerrero and has become a legend. I met folks from all over SoCal who said this is a must experience. Some came just to eat here. Que padre. I'll be back!!

I’ll start by declaring that I had the most incredible Tostada experience of my life at this vibrant eatery. Visiting with a group of friends and family, every single person in our party was thoroughly impressed with the dishes they ate. The unique setup of the eatery invites patrons to gather around the cart and enjoy their meals while standing, creating an energetic and convivial atmosphere. As you savor your Tostada, you can't help but notice the chorus of satisfied diners around you both locals and tourists, all relishing in the freshness and quality of their meals. My personal favorite was the Singapore Tostada, which truly stood out in terms of flavor and presentation. However, the eatery also offers the option to customize your Tostada with an astounding array of seafood choices, ranging from octopus and scallops to oysters, shrimp and more. It's evident that they take great pride in their selection, and their commitment to freshness and quality shines through in every bite. Some people may understandably be wary about consuming seafood from a street-side stand; however, let me put those concerns to rest. This remarkable eatery has a nearby restaurant where they store their fresh seafood supplies. This ensures that they can replenish their cart with top-quality ingredients whenever necessary, maintaining the high standards they've set for themselves. Furthermore, I know that some travelers tend to experience digestive issues when eating in Mexico, but I'm happy to report that after my Ensenada trip, I returned home feeling perfectly fine. This speaks volumes about the cleanliness, quality, and care that this establishment puts into its preparations and offerings. To enhance the experience, patrons can select from a variety of salsas, including the house-made peanut salsa, which I wholeheartedly recommend. It's no surprise that we were drawn back to this remarkable eatery twice during our three-day Ensenada trip - it is simply too good to resist. So, if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and treat your taste buds to an unforgettable Tostada adventure at this lively cart.

We had read a lot of this place and were unsure to stop but we did. Would come back anytime just to eat here! The produce is as fresh as you can find and the flavors highlight the freshness. The jaiba, callo, and octupus was our favorite… until we tried the ceviche one (not pictured). Amazing tuna ceviche! Eddie, son of Sabina is as charming and welcoming as the food. Thank you Eddie!

Breakfast restaurant
Dona Esthela's Mexican restaurant is a popular spot for locals and visitors to Valle de Guadalupe. The food is generous in size and flavour, served with traditional Mexican plates including her Machaca con Huevo (tender, slow-roasted beef with eggs). The restaurant was awarded the title of Best Breakfast in the World by FoodieHub in 2015.
Wow this place is great. Excellent service, plenty of parking available, beautiful atmosphere. We ordered the corn hot cakes (yes I recommend that you try this, it sounds weird but tastes amazing!) and the house specialty birria (tasty but way too large of a portion for breakfast- better for dinner). We were given complimentary chips and salsa while we waited for our food. Other reviewers mentioned a wait time but we arrived a bit before 10 am and there were plenty of seats available (of course this was on a Thursday in February)
Joceline Lopez — Google review
Delicious food and definitely worth a visit while in Valle de Guadalupe. There was no line and minimal wait, which made the experience better. I've tried to come for breakfast before but there was a long wait and we ended up leaving. January seems to be a good time to visit as the throngs of tourists are not as bad. Must try their machaca and corn pancakes. Everything was delicious, but my companions did say the coffee was a little weak. I enjoyed the fresh orange juice. Taste like homemade Mexican breakfast.

I recommend coming here right when they open to avoid 2 hour wait since this place is super popular. It is popular for a reason, though. Once we got inside, I was impressed by the decor, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered un café de olla (which was great alone without any creamer!) and a order of combinación Esthela. Portions are big but not overly priced. I definitely recommend it, as this is a staple of the Valle.

Great food, small portions. We got our food sooner than expected, keeping in mind it was a Saturday and they were full. the chips portion was unbelievably small for 2 people. Ask for pan dulce, they might have some great selections.

Best Borrego I've had in my life. Not that I even like lamb like that but it was complex and flavourful. You must try the corn pancakes, somehow they're delicious and fluffy. I even saw Doña Esthela still working the floor, respect! However, be ready to wait awhile and don't forget to come with an appetite for the larger than life portions.

This little (not really) little place is amazing! We parked in the lot next door thinking Wow there are so many people coming here. Then we saw vans dropping off loads of people. We walked in, put our name down. 5 minutes later, we were seated. The menu was pretty basic with the staple selection for breakfast. Waitress, young, but hustled, brought out our food quickly. I had menudo. So for some, this is hit or miss because of the flavor and spices. This place was spot on. Sooo flavorful, and not full of hominy. Actually, there wasn't any. We left with full bellies, you could roll us out. And our bill? It was $21 for 2 of us. That included drinks! It's a little drive up a bumpy dirt road but worth it for good home cooked meals.

I went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. The wait for a table for 2 was 1 hour. The food it wasn't what I expected to be. The only dish that I loved is the corn hot cakes. Delicious.

Traveling through wine country in Ensenada we came upon this restaurant. The architecture makes you feel like you’re authentically in a Mexican restaurant. The staff are super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about their dishes. The food was incredibly delicious! We had the enchiladas with the corn hotcakes, and I’d also recommend you try! Coffee tasted just like the kind my grandma makes, and the overall quality of the food was A-1

If anyone is planning to go, driving early to queue up is key cause the wait times can last 1-2 hours. Service may be delayed at times due to how crowded this place can get . It's very well worth it though! Food is excellent. They're known for the borrego but don't forget the corn pancakes!!! Will definitely come back.

Amazing location in thee middle of la Valle de Guadalupe. They don't take bookings , so you just have to drive there and wait at least 1½ hour but it's worth the waiting. Very rural, rustic but very tasty dishes.

Amazing place, delicious food, quality ingredients. Esthela’s food never disappoints! You can taste the love and quality ingredients in every bite. Doña Esthela is very warm and pleasant and always checks-in with all her patrons throughout the day. This is a MUST stop for any visit to Valle de Guadalupe!

Very good food here. The goat and beef plate was fantastic. Can’t go wrong with anything you order here, and the bathrooms are super clean. Service is excellent and the people are super nice. If you are down this way please don’t miss out, you won’t be disappointed.

Doña Esthela herself came out to greet and welcome everyone at their table. Very welcoming atmosphere, yet a joyful vibe. All dishes here are delicious and have that homemade taste. Birria or Borrego en su jugo are very recommended, served with homemade tortillas. Gordita de picadillo is delicious. Hotcakes de elote con requezon are different yet addicting! Cafè de olla , hot chocolate or cappuccino is great too. Also recommended is 'combinacion Jose' and 'Doña Esthela'. This place does get crowded at times, but staff gets you seated in a timely manner. Pets are welcome. There is a playground for children as well.

The place was better than we expected. The wait for breakfast was a little long at about 20 minutes. The food quality was great with the queso and chips being a pleasant surprise. Cafe de Olla was nicely done. They had a dairy next to the restaurant.

Wonderful food and definitely friendly service from our service attendant. The only con to this popular place is the longer wait during busy times, but ultimately makes it worth it if you have the time to visit. I would recommend coming earlier in order to not have to wait as long. During the wait, you can order some coffee or shakes from the coffee bar stand that is available towards the front. If you have little ones, there are currently no changing tables but there is a playground for the wait.

A little off the beaten path but this place is as advertised. The food is all handmade with delicious flavors. I had the chilaquiles rojos, enchilada de pollo, gorditas de chicharrón, picadillo and rajas con queso. I also ordered the hotcake de elote and topped it off with a great cafe de olla!! Everything was great

Delicioso como siempre! This place is amazing. Hand made tortillas and lots of traditional food. Quesatacos are my favorite here and cafe de olla is fabulous! This place is a must when we come to Valle de Guadalupe.

My first time here was in August 2021 after I graduated for Pepperdine. my friend and I came to Mexico for Baja beach fest and drove to Doña from our Air BNB. There is only one kitchen and one parking lot. I’ve been back four times since then and every time this place has something new. Te amo La Cocina de Doña Esthela! This is where I was first introduced to machaca and hotcakes de elote. If you’ve never been, I recommend making the trip because it is well worth it. You have to try the Machaca and Borrego. Top it off with agua fresca de pepino y piña. Thank me later 🫡.

Incredible food and amazing service. We had a group of 40 on a weekend (when it’s noticeably busier) and we were seated quickly and taken care of very well. The food is all amazing, but the best in my opinion is the machaca (dried shredded beef with vegetables) and the corn pancakes. They also have a huge selection of drinks, including an amazing horchata.

The mexican restaurant Corazon de Tierra is a well-known hotspot in Valle de Guadalupe for its creative and delicious cuisine. A range of wines is available, including the passion project of the owners, Vena Cava. The intimate setting is perfect for romantic dinner dates or for catching up with friends.
Chef Diego and his staff were AMAZING! We were there for Sunday brunch and each course awoke a new taste:bud. Eating straight from the earth that we walked upon and smelled as you can see from the pictures was an experience all on its own. The setting is stunning, the service impeccable and the food amazing! 5 stars for both as I don't believe in rating a restaurant with combined scores but separate. Make a reservation and go ... Oh they have heat and AC ;- enjoy!!!

The food is good, I liked that they changed some dishes for me since I didn't eat meat. The price is maybe a little too much for what you get. The place is comfortable and nice but it is pretty far away from everything. The road is dusty and dark. Overall I was maybe expecting more for a restaurant ranked at the Pellegrino's list.

This restaurant is a pure joke. I put 1 star as there is no negative star rating on this! They only have a fixed menu which they charge $80 per person for. While only some of the dishes present interesting flavors, the portion are ridiculously tiny, not consistent between the three of us. The first course of a 6 course menu: 1 FREEKING RADISH WITH NO TASTE WHATSOEVER! You can judge the other course with the pictures, Very big plates with decor like that you are not sure what is food and what's not making it much bigger than the real portion and... YES THE 3 RIDICULOUS SWORDFISH TOAST ARE FOR 3 PERSONS!!!! AND... ...The lamb was dry like hell, the radish had no interest whatsoever, the smoke swordfish was extremely fishy... It is clear that the chef and the owner do not understand food quality and consistency and overcharge tourist for a set menu that does not deserve anything but a D- This restaurant would open anywhere in the USA, in two weeks it would be closed! Thank you the hype of Guadalupe Valley and locals that advise to go to this restaurant but never eat themselves there, paid commissions work!

Romantic restaurant run by the Villa de la Valle group (and adjacent to the Inn) perfect for a quiet dinner. Adventurous menu great for foodies. It’s a fixed menu and was nicely curated with a variety of flavors. Especially loved the crispy pork lechon , fresh tomato salad, grilled sea bass. All the sauces were fantastic! Wines were pricy and we would have liked liked more wine. But loved the Beautiful view and experience on this our second visit.

Good 6 course meal, Don't recommend the wine tasting or ordering drinks from the bar.

Best culinary experience in Valle de Guadalupe This is our second visit to this amazing place and the experience is an overall 5-senses celebration. The place is amazingly beautiful, 8 course tasting menu is really worth it. Each plate growths in your paladar and takes you to value not only flavor but also textures and smell. Really recommend this place if gourmet dining is your thing. Btw, love the hotel! prime service and detail oriented.

**AVOID THIS PLACE... NOT WORTH YOUR TROUBLE My experience left me wanting... The place was really nicely decorated. The food was good, but not close to what they charge for it. Furthermore, I would suggest that they make a bit more effort in client orientation. We had two people from my party that found stones in their risotto. This is extremely unfortunate for such a high end restaurant. But even more, when no one from the kitchen or the staff did anything about it. That is the type of response you would expect only in a fonda. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and I think the place is not worth what they charge for it.

Very disappointed! Was really excited until I was through the 3rd course. The wine was served from pre opened bottles with small pours. Each portion of food served was ridiculously small. I kept waiting for a course to be served that would actually take more than two bites. One serving was a corn tortilla with some greens. The desert was actually one spoon full of ice cream and some kind of green syrup. Sorry, but I don’t get this hyped up place. $250.00 for two to eat sub par food. We actually had to go eat dinner after this experience . Will not be back.
