Kings Park and Botanic Garden

National park
Nature & Parks
Kings Park is a 400-hectare bushland park located on the western flank of Perth, near the Swan River. The park's focal point is the 17-hectare Botanic Garden, home to over 2,000 plant species indigenous to WA. In springtime, there is an impressive display of the state's wildflowers.
It's probably the best area of Perth. Lots of walking, great views, chilled atmosphere. Need a few visits to really appreciate. Morning afternoon or evening a good place to go. Take a picnic and a cold bottle of your favourite tipple!

We visited this large and lovely park. There are nice walking paths, a bridge, fountains, statues and lots of flowering plants. There is a great view of Perth city from here. The park is well maintained with beautiful lawns too. A great place to visit for some greenery and fresh air.

The most beautiful displays of Australian flora that I've ever seen. Incredible views of the city and surrounding bodies of water. Lots of easy walk ways and interesting bridges, pretty accessible even for wheelchairs for most of the park (some hills when you get deeper in). Cafe and restaurant on site with an icecream spot. Lots of picnic areas and free parking on site. Be sure to look up any events happening as they have some pretty cool light shows etc. War memorial and art gallery on site near each other.

Definitely Must visit in Perth Australia. The view of the city is beautiful and the garden is amazing and well kept. It has beautiful trails especially to those who likes to work out or go for a run. The plants are amazing and so many varieties!

Beautiful park with a superb view of the Elizabeth Quay, the Swan River and South Perth area. The botanic garden is free to visit and while I am not an enthusiast I could see lots of photographers snapping pictures of plans and flowers. The state war memorial is worth checking out too.

Kings Park & Botanic Garden was one of the most beautiful places to visit in Perth. It's a beautifully landscaped botanical garden and a large park. From the top, you get a stunning view of the entire Perth skyline. Admission is free, and there's also ample parking available at the entrance. Definitely a must-see if you're in Perth. Highly recommended!

What a great park and gardens. Really well looked after and the views of Perth and the Swan River are magnificent Watched the Anzac Day Dawn service which was very moving. Good cafes and a great place to spend some time.
Eric Scheeren — Google review
Came here on a hot summer day and while we nearly melted to death we really enjoyed the gardens / park. This is such a cool place I could see how people spend every weekend here the views are amazing, the gardens are spectacular / beautiful and the amount that there is to do is unbelievable. We only spent a few hours here due to the hot weather but we would come back for sure. The blue cat (free) drops you off right at the entry which is so convenient. There is no entry fee to the gardens either which is really great. There are a few walks you can do which are outlined on the information sign. We took the 1hr walk and it was about 1.5hrs after all our stopping & looking. Lots of Aussies were there for a jog and for food at the cafe (forgot to take pics). I would highly recommend to come back for a full morning of walking and eating at the cafe which looked to have a really nice selection of food. Note: if visiting Perth for the first time do note that they have free city bus transportation called CAT that will take you to all the sights for free! So convenient and did I say free! There are blue, yellow, red and purple line (if I remember correctly). You can download the CAT app too to check bus arrival timings but most of the buses were white frequent, we never waited more than 5-7min.

Love this garden ! Lots of beautiful big trees, you can see the city from here. In the summer you can have picnic too. It is a beautiful botanical garden. A must see when you go to Perth !
Dita Desiana — Google review
Absolutely stunning with great information on the native flora. I knew it was diverse but not how much! For example, even Kings Park only has 60 of the 580 odd species of Acacias. Many of the varied other species of trees, shrubs, flowers etc. they have growing, are being rescued from being critically endangered! Good on them 👌🤩👏🏻
Cheryl Yamazaki — Google review
Beautiful gardens overlooking the city and the sea. There were lots of colourful flowers and plants to see here, there is a lovely walk around the gardens, with fountains, themed areas and a great cafe. If you are in Perth then the park is definitely worth visiting, for the gardens as well as the fantastic views.
Mandy & Antony — Google review
The botanical event and art exhibition in 2023 was a brilliant way to spend the day or even just an afternoon. Take some time to admire the park and it's beauty and the flowers when they are in bloom. Lovely park for family or just to enjoy the outdoors.

Well kept Botanical gardens. Well set out and sign posted Caught that free bus from the city centre. Great views of the city and swan River and surrounding suburbs. Great spot for photos off the city Function centre and restaurants great place for picnic under the shade of trees. War memorial is an essential visit with the scenic views of the city.

Perfect location for a picnic on Christmas day. There were few people around, lots of birds to observe. The gardens are immaculate collections of native plants from all over the state. Magnificent.
Tori Tsukino — Google review
This is a great place! There are so many walking paths and routes to take to see all the statues and memorials. The view from the War Memorial is breathtaking and I was surprised to find out that the park is dog-friendly. This was my first time there but I will definitely go back and have a picnic or take a solo stroll through the Roe Garden. I love that there are signs detailing the uses of some of the native flora. I can't wait to go back!
Lizelle Kriek — Google review
We were a bit surprised to find not as many flowers as we expected. But it was still a blast. We stumbled upon some of our favorite plant varieties, and even some we didn't recognize. It's all part of the fun and exploration at Kings Park and Botanical Garden. Now, let's talk about the glass bridge – it's nothing short of spectacular. When you step onto that bridge, you're greeted with jaw-dropping views of the Swan River and a side of the city you've probably never seen before. It's a visual treat that makes the visit worthwhile. What's even better is that you can take a leisurely stroll along the bridge. Picture this: a sunny spring day, a gentle breeze, and the aroma of blooming flowers in the air. It's like a scene from a dream. The fresh air is invigorating, and the view is pure eye candy. So, sure, there might not have been as many flowers as we hoped, but Kings Park and Botanical Garden delivered an unforgettable experience. It's a place where you can enjoy nature, discover new plants, and soak in some of the most breathtaking urban views you'll ever encounter. Definitely worth a visit! 🌿🌉🌼

Lovely neat as a pin Gardens with gorgeous views over Swan River and Perth city and south. Chance for a coffee break or icecream with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Extensive info Centre and upmarket gallery with part proceeds to gardens. Parking is free and looks like a bus stop right at info centre. Toilets very clean. A lovely park and a credit to Perth.

Breathtaking views of city and beyond. A beautiful collection of native Australian plants in bloom. This is a must do when you drop into Perth. Wide open parkland for those wanting the relaxed picnic, interspersed with walking tracks for those a bit more adventurous. Strategically located throughout the site are memorials so that we may never forget those who have served our country. Well worth the visit.

Kings Park is such a lovely place to visit in the heart of Perth. It has something for everyone....great walking tracks, fabulous views, interesting history, well equipped playgrounds. Then there are the gardens- amazing, no matter what time of year you visit. And there is always plenty of seating & shady spots to relax. It is dog friendly too. The public bus system goes through the park so it is very accessible. Definitely recommended for locals & visitors!
Trish Solly — Google review
This is a gorgeous park right in the middle of the city of Perth. It is a huge green space and it overlooks the river which boast a spectacular panoramic view of the city skyline. There are ample parking spaces and the park is best explored in foot. There are plenty of interesting flora and fauna here and the signages are very useful. We took a leisurely stroll but had to pick up our pace as the day grew warner and the temperature soared. My favourite section of the park was the scenic view of the city from across the river. I must have taken so many pictures from multiple angles there. I don't think we covered the entire park but I would like to think we at least saw all the interesting bits. Will definitely return for a more thorough visit the next time round - maybe even jog in the park when I return!
gevs — Google review
Sadly, I've only given 4 stars due to my experience at The Botanical Cafe (see my review) but Kings Park, itself was amazing, in fact; my dog would give it 10 stars - he had the time of his life. Everything was so green, & the cleanliness surprised me, especially when taking the rest of Perth into account. It was spotless. The grounds staff must go above & beyond. The views over Perth were incredible, and as it was a clear sunny day, we were able to see for miles. Definitely, take your camera when visiting, as it's so scenic. There were nice quiet, shaded spots to sit if you wanted a moment alone, or busier areas if you want to feel a tourist in your own city. If you need a place to sit & read, or even, do as I did; & take your pup somewhere different. It's the place to go. It was a day out I would definitely recommend.

What an incredible park! It’s absolutely huge and every area beautifully kept. There’s loads to admire and explore throughout and the signage for ‘attractions’ is good. Views over the city are amazing and there’s a good cafe / restaurant with plenty of parking at one end. History, nice walking bridges, more natural wild areas and picnic areas - there’s something for everyone. Everyone should explore here on a first visit to the city.
Steve Bintley — Google review
Beautiful huge well kept park/gardens. One of my favourite places to visit. Love all the native plants and flowers. Gorgeous Perth city and swan River views during the day. And at night the views of the city are beautiful, where the city lights up like a Xmas tree. Spend the day having a picnic or exploring. Has a cafe if you're feeling peckish or thirsty. Highly recommend the visit. 😊
Claire Brand — Google review
Excellent place for a family picnic. Extremely crowded during peak days like public holidays so you should plan your picnic in advance so as to not struggle for parking spots. The botanic garden may take up to 2 hours for a thorough walk-through so make sure to have healthy heels and good sneakers.

I love coming here and relaxing with a morning breakfast. Kings park has always been my go-to place and is absolutely breathtaking at night. Highly recommend for tourists or anyone wanting a relaxing activity to do.

We went after dinner in the city, busy & hard to find parking. Lots of family groups had picnic dinners, which were lovely to see. Pathways were dark, making it a little unsafe to be walking at night.

The Perth Mint is a tourist attraction located in Perth, Western Australia that showcases the history and magic of gold. It features displays of actual gold bullion bars, various exhibits related to gold and an interesting gift shop. The attraction is open Monday to Friday 09:00-16:00, Saturday and Sunday 09:00-13:00. Admission is charged, but discounts are available for children and seniors.
The Perth Mint might not sound like it should be on peoples list of places to see in Perth but you'd be wrong. Our tour guide was great in telling us the interesting history of the building, fossicking and the timeline of minting currency in Australia and worldwide. There was an impressive collection of coins, historical items and stories, followed by a gold pouring demo. This gold pouring demo alone was well worth the ticket.
Laura Zeljeznjak — Google review
It's a nice one hour tour. Easy to get there in Hay Street in the CBD. You get to see some incredible specimens and coins, and know a brief history about the place. An actual demonstration of melting/producing a gold bar like it happened back in the old days. Recommended and won't take much of your time ...
Ahmed Metwally — Google review
Nice, easy and quick experience. We come mid time of the tour but pouring gold experience it's never disappointing. We got $2 Mint Your Own Medallion as memory, which is included with every paid admission. If you have been in any gold mining tour tour, this one is very similar. No need for us to go to any other from now on.
Nina Mo — Google review
Excellent 45-min tour, hit way above expectations. See the world' largest gold coin, hear the stories of the world's largest nuggets, test your hand at holding a real gold bar, measure your worth of your body weight in gold, and watch an expert pour actual molten gold to make a gold bar. Fabulous, even the kids liked it.

I really enjoyed the tour of the Mint. Perth mint is very different from the one in Canberra. The tour guide, Oliver, has a good sense of humour and made our tour informative and entertaining from telling the history story to the making of the gold bar! Highly recommended.

Wonderful gatehouse entrance and main building. Great to walk around and see jewellery, gifts and of course gold bullion for sale! Highly recommend booking the tour for the Gold pour and seeing the 1000kg gold coin! Something most will only see once in a life time, so we'll worth it. Heaps if history to go along the tour.
Marko Prsa — Google review
Probably the best short tour of its type I’ve experienced. Guide Fred and Gold pour demonstrator Oliver we’re both excellent. Humorous without overly so. The tour included some simple but effective interactive elements that aided understanding of gold and the work of the mint. There was more to see and learn apart from gold. I was surprisingly taken by the Argyle Pink Diamonds. The picture is of a very small one for sale at over $250,000. (Maybe next pay😀)
Terry Miller — Google review
Such a great tour! Sarah was really knowledgeable and friendly and gave a great history of the place, then Oliver showed us how he pours a bar of gold. So entertaining, he deserves a bar of gold for his bonus! Highly recommended place to visit.

Perth Mint is a great experience for everyone young and old. My 9 year old son and I loved it. The tour is 50mins and worth the price, you learn so much and it's fun plus you get take home souvenirs and it's interactive. Job well done guys ! Great knowledge, you get to see and do a bit. Definitely recommend

Our visit to the Perth Mint was an unexpected delight. The history is fascinating and the exhibitions very well curated. It was great to watch a genuine gold pour. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jon. He was very engaging and enthusiastic, a born performer. He was a good storyteller and communicated clearly. His strong voice was greatly appreciated with such a big tour group.

It is a small gold processing facilty/museum in the middle of Perth. The day tour consists of an hour worth of activity inside the museum showing Australia's gold mining history. Inside you can see the largest gold coin in the world, actual melting and processing of gold bar, and actually try to lift a 14kg gold bar. Its an experience everyone should try.
Roberto Martin Reyes — Google review
Managed to get on the 9:30am tour by turning up 10 minutes before the tour started. Very informative guide with lots to see & history to soak up. The gold pour was awesome!
Andyy Leigh — Google review
The Perth Mint was overall, quite an enjoyable experience. The tour provided a wealth of information about the history of gold in Western Australia, and I found it fascinating to learn about the significant role this region has played in the gold industry. One particularly intriguing highlight was discovering that The Perth Mint houses the largest piece of gold in the world. The tour also included a captivating segment where the guide demonstrated the process of melting and crafting gold, which added an entertaining element to the visit. It was truly impressive to witness the skills and dangers involved in working with this precious metal. However, I must mention that the tour fee for our group, consisting of three seniors, one adult, and one child, amounted to $94. While the experience was informative and engaging, the price may be a factor to consider, especially if you have other plans or attractions you wish to explore in Perth. Additionally, The Perth Mint features a jewellery shop where you can access without purchasing a ticket. However, as someone who isn't particularly fond of jewelry, I decided to skip this part of the visit. Nonetheless, for those interested in acquiring gold jewelry, this could be a noteworthy stop. All in all, The Perth Mint offers a short yet informative tour that sheds light on the history of gold and its significance in Western Australia. If you have an interest in gold or are looking for an educational experience, it's worth considering a visit. However, if you have budget constraints or aren't particularly drawn to the subject matter, you may want to explore other options in Perth. Take note that the tour timings are 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm.

This place was really interesting. We loved to know about the history of the gold and the miners in Perth. We respect the elders and those who were there before us and work to serve the country and build what we can see now. The tour guide was amazing, very kind and friendly. We also spent a lot of money on the shops there, so many pretty things, difficult to choose just 1.

The Perth Mint, the house of Gold, built during the Gold rush in the 1800's. A beautiful place and a heap of history, and presented by amazing tour guides. All of the staff are really helpful and have a buzz of energy about them. Overall a great experience with some mind blowing facts. On another note that really suprised me, was the jewellery store inside. I didn't expect to see high end Argyle Diamonds or other notable brands in there. I mean it goes hand in hand with Gold, but it wasn't expected. Seriously go have a look. Also Jeff was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable and a good cheeky Aussie sense of humour, making the Gold Pour Tour well worth the visit.
Nathaniel Coburn (Tedd) — Google review
We did the tour, which was great, the tour guide was knowledgeable and the stories and history behind the mint were very interesting! I think the tour took around an hour and you also watch how they melt and pour gold. Definitely worth going!

I took the tour, it was attractive and informative. We watched live how a goldbar was made, saw some extraordinary collections. The tour guide was good.

The tour was a positive experience. Thank you Paul and Oliver. I wish the tour would also provide more information about the role of gold today in our economy: gold investing, reserves and derivatives etc.

Wonderful Victorian era building. So much history involved in WA's Gold Industry
Paul Bertolini — Google review
Excellent visit to the mint while visiting Perth recently. The guided tour was excellent and very informative about the history of gold mining and minting coins around Perth. The biggest coin was quite something as was being weighed to see how much you are worth if you were made of gold! The gold pouring display was really good and you come away with a printed ‘coin’ from the mint as a souvenir. There was a nice shop on site and you can even trade in any gold you have spare! The mint is situated in the centre of Perth, so really easy to access. If you’re in Perth the mint is well worth a visit.

The most attractive part of this cathedral to me as a non christian is its beautiful sculpture of St. George slaying the dragon called Ascalon . I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates art and sculpture in particular. The sculpture is located on the St. Georges terrace side of the cathedral and is quote a monolith in White and chrome . I suggest a walking all the way around it as the light hits it in so many different ways changing the whole shape of the sculpture. Well worth a look ...even for us non Christians :O)

The menu features some international fusion and local sourcing, making it a popular choice for special occasions or anniversary dinners. Signature dishes include handmade gnocchi and Napolitana sauce with creamy spinach and gorgonzola flavors.
Plenty of parking underneath the building. The place was great. Food was great. Very different type of experience. We had the 5 course meal for 2 people and spent $280. It is pricey but quality experience. Staff were friendly and nice. One positive advise would be perhaps they can clean the windows from the outside for a better view.

What an amazing experience, my partner and I were having a birthday dinner and the food exceeded my expectations. The service was very attentive and staffs are friendly. Despite the steep price, you absolutely get what you pay for and we are looking forward to coming back again. We ordered 5 courses each and I have to say that each one exceeded my expectations. But the premise is that you must be very hungry, otherwise you may not finish.

Food was impeccable but if you don't like truffle this is not for you as almost every dish had truffle infused into it including the sorbet for dessert. The cod was a delicious surprise and even the mushrooms which accompagnied the tender steak was so tasty. The tasting plate was definitely a good choice and they gave my husband a little birthday treat. The views are lovely at night and our waiter Justin was great! Definitely would love to go again.

Yeah it's good this one. Had a lunch with my wife and work colleague. Didn't even know about the spin so that came in as a bonus on top of tasty meals, drinks and great service. My favourite was a chestnut dessert. You have to give it a try!

Went for dinner, booked for 7 pm, were there 15 minutes early and were seated right away, very good service all through our dinning experience there. We booked a window seat with our booking. This restaurant is on the 33rd floor. The first picture is of my 5-course meal menu & the photos follow the menu in order, and the last 5 photos are of my wife's food, vegetarian, sorry no menu photo. The last couple of photos are views at night, hard to take good photos as the glass reflects, also a photo is a little gift from them for our wedding anniversary. Thank you, very tasty 5 course meals.

Highly recommended! We had the $120pp degustation menu, which was well priced for the food and view you get. The food wasn't exceptional, but still a very high standard. Service was excellent. They will charge you an extra $30 if you want to sit by the window. It's okay if you don't want to fork out the extra money as the view is going to be amazing wherever you sit.

My partner and I came last Thursday for our 2 year anniversary. We enjoyed a 5 course meal and the wine paired to it. The experience was amazing. Staff were kind, polite, and well trained. The food was just delicious and really tasty. From everything we experienced with you, your wine selection was the key. All the wines we tested were perfectly paired with our meal and brought to our table at the right time. Thank everyone for such a beautiful and delightful night, I already recommended C restaurant to all my friends.

Recently took my wife here for her birthday we were a bit hesitant to go after reading the mixed reviews but after our visit we must say WOW what an amazing night from the very warm welcome we received as we stepped out of the elevator to the food everything was amazing only have two small complaints one was the service it was very quick to begin with but as the night went on it go slower and slower second minor complaint and this is just my personal opinion the main I had which was the lamb didn’t need the pesto sauce it was overpowering but the rest of the dish was so nice we will definitely be back if the food is this good every time. For our starter we ordered the bread with truffle butter four scallops and two natural oysters. For the entree I had the gnocchi and my wife had the king salmon. For mains I had the lamb and my wife had the market fish witch on this night was pink snapper with and Asian style salad/sauce. We also ordered a side of the hand cut chips which we so nice and fluffy but unfortunately couldn’t finish them all as we were both so full and wanted to have desert. For desert we just shared the dark chocolate and pistachio parfait and an espresso martini. To sum up the whole experience we had an amazing experience the food was very good and the portions were just nice not to much and not to little we will be coming back to try some of the other menus when they are available thank you C restaurant and stuff for making this a wonderfull night for my wife and I.

We enjoyed our experienced when we dined there for a milestone birthday dinner party for just under 20 people in June. We were seated across 2 tables at the upper level overlooking the lower level. The only rotating restaurant in Perth overlooking the city in a panoramic view at 33th storey high, the view is always guaranteed to be breathtaking. The set menu $119 (food only) was spaced well in terms of timing for dining, and the service was good, polite and attentive enough but could always lift up to a higher level for the fine dining experience and price you pay. Overall a good venue for a special occasion.

I would say this is a must-try restaurant in Perth. We went here for lunch on a weekday. Had a groupon voucher as well. Apart from the atmosphere - the food is definitely the winner here. Very high quality presentation and really really tasty - It’s not just the looks. The restaurant does a full round in around 90 minutes - was faster than we thought it would be, as we could see it moving. I was expecting it to be too slow to be noticeable - but that’s not the case. Amazing! Pricey - but worth it for a one-time experience.

We had a fabulous High Tea at C Restaurant! There were 4 adults and we requested easy access as we had an elderly member with us. Staff were very accommodating. We had great views even though we weren’t near the windows. The venue is fabulous and the food was fresh & very tasty! We all enjoyed our time here and we got to take the leftovers home. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Also there is easy parking under the building. I highly recommend C Restaurant for a special occasion. It’s not cheap, but it is worth it! It makes a nice change to dress up, go somewhere special and have great food & service! Honestly the views alone make it worth it!!

The view is amazing!!! Drinks from their new drink menu were delicious. The food was okay, looked absolutely amazing but didn’t taste as good as it looked. The smoked salmon for example was dense and fishy. The cucumber gazpacho was delightful but the portion was very small. The menu options are also limited. Additional options of appetizers is suggested.

A wonderful celebratory lunch today with 2 friends. Booked a guaranteed window seat to ensure the best views. Caught the train in so we didn’t need to worry about sampling the excellent wine menu with our delicious food. Decided to have a main each with extra roasted vegetables, then 3 different desserts to share using fresh plates. Awesome! Could not fault anything. Some might find the main meal servings slightly on the small size but they were perfect for us. Thoroughly recommend this venue and well worth the expense for a special occasion.

My husband surprised me and took me here for my birthday. The food has definitely improved from many years ago which I was pleasantly surprised with. Staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The only annoyance I had was when my husband asked if we could sit by the window, which they declined. They stated that we had to specifically book several weeks ahead and request the Window. This would of been understandable if the window seating was fully booked, however that was not the case in the almost 3hrs we were there. 85% of the window seating was available. Overall though great experience and I would definitely recommend!

Special birthday dinner for two, was actually very happy with the service offered. The food was great, service was great, and the views were awesome. We were seated very close to a group gathering so sometimes we couldn’t have a conversation without almost yelling 😂. But all in all was a good night dinner with 360 degrees of Perth city views. Will definitely come back again Location - awesome Parking - easy underground - entry via St. George’s terrace. Look out for the sign on the left - c restaurant otherwise you can miss it. Service - as expected Food - definitely lived up to its standard 👌🏽 Ambience - other than being seated next to a birthday party - it was awesome

Went here for my friends birthday. It was amazing. The food was divine, the service was terrific and the views were astonishing. It was my first time going here and I was not disappointed. I tried so many new foods like the gnocchi, duck breast and a pistachio and dark chocolate parfait. All were delicious and very filling dispute the small portion sizes. Because it was my friend’s birthday, she received a free chocolate cake plate. We had waiters and the manager come check on us to see if the food was up to standard, which it most definitely was. Thank you to all the staff who work there. I had a lovely experience.

My first visit to this restaurant was also my last. The food was really bad. I basically took one bite and decided left. The food value was not up to expectations, the extra money for crayfish tail was like chewing wax, and I spent $160 on a plate of potatoes and this horrible crayfish tail. Two frozen scallops and dried lamb, the cook is really bad. Almost $280 of food will not taste at all. Since there is such a value, please choose fresh and mindful cooking in food. Of course the service and view are very good.

We had dinner to celebrate our 1st anniversary here last night. The intimate atmosphere starts as soon as you enter the restaurant, the service is flawless. All the staff congratulations us from the moment we entered the venue to the end when the chef sent us a little special dessert with Happy Anniversary message (we didn’t expect that). The food was amazing from entree, to main to dessert. Great selections of wine and a view to die for. Can’t thank you enough, C restaurant. U made our night very memorable ❤️

We were looking for a High Tea experience, and looked at a few places around Perth City, and finally decided to give the C-Restaurant a go. Well we are glad we did. The high tea was excellent, it consisted of tiered array of delicious petit fours, freshly baked scones, bite-sized savouries, and delicate finger sandwiches, served with bottomless cups of tea or percolated coffee. There was a selection of other highly tea’s which included wine or champagne, but as we don’t drink we chose the classic. The atmosphere was excellent, the restaurant revolves 360 degrees as you enjoy the high tea showing beautiful views of Perth city and surrounding areas. The wait staff were excellent, they checked in with each table frequently and asked how they could make our experience even better. If you’re looking for an excellent High Tea experience I can’t recommend the C Restaurant enough, we will be back. Enjoy! Doug D

Spectacular views and excellent food and service. I was here for a birthday celebration lunch and the experience was faultless. The standout dishes for me were the raspberry and dark chocolate and the hazelnut desserts. Our waiter Lucien was perfect. And we were greeted so warmly on entry and when we left. Thank you to the whole team at C Restaurant. Will definitely come back 😊

The high tea was absolutely amazing and totally worth the expense. The service was impeccable and attention to detail was brilliant. Our waiter Maicol was so kind and patient with us whilst we decided and helpful in choosing the right wines. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and experience. The only negatives from our visit were that the air conditioning was a bit light on for such a warm day - our middle aged female guests were uncomfortable! Also the carpet is dreadfully stained and needs an update! Brought the presentation down a smidge. Incredible views, wonderful attentive staff - I would 100% recommend and would love to return for an evening meal!

The vegan menu was delicious! For entree we had croquetas, main course “meat balls” and tofu tempura and I must say it was nicely cook and lovely combination os tastes. The service was fantastic, all the waitress were super nice and helpful. The restaurant view is beautiful. The kitchen was very close to our table and the ventilation must be pretty good because the smell on the floor was pretty much neutral. Again, well done with the plant based menu, it was a very pleasant experience.

Food is well portioned and tasted amazing. I had some motion sickness on and off during the time there. The table service is not great. Didn’t ask if we wanted another beverage. Couldn’t find the waitress to refill water or for us to pay our bill. Lots of different servers each time. The ones bringing the food were polite. Sunset is spectacular, Perth is a beautiful city.

What a treat! Special anniversary and C Restaurant certainly made us feel special! I am dairy-free and I have stayed away from high teas but their Dairy free selection was so very delicious, I could believe it!!!!!!! Diary free scones and jam and (dairy free) cream were the best!!!!!! Gorgeous experience. Thank you ❤️

We received a gift card to C as a Christmas present. Delicious food and great views. 6.30pm was a great booking time as we saw before sunset and after sunset. Wait Staff were perhaps too attentive, but did not detract from the atmosphere. It takes 90mins to do a full circle of the city. Would definitely go again for a special romantic occasion.

Absolutely superb! Thank you very much to Andy who was our server on the night, a professional in hospitality! The fillet of beef was perfectly cooked, in fact everything food and service wise was flawless. Only suggestion would be to change the music up? Felt it we either couldn't hear it or it was house music - classical maybe more fitting. Very minor suggestion in what was an otherwise excellent experience.

Brewery
Little Creatures Brewery, located in Fremantle, Perth Region, Western Australia, offers a unique and enjoyable experience. Visitors can embark on a morning cruise down the Swan River to reach the charming port of Fremantle. This historic area is filled with captivating stories of convicts, maritime heroes, and pioneers. One must-visit attraction is the Fremantle Prison, which serves as the state's first jail and largest structure built by convicts.
We managed to get the last booth inside because outside was already so busy. The staff were attentive and friendly. The natural oysters were deliciously fresh. We also ordered the brewer's board, a wedge salad, 2 beetroot salads, a serve of chips, and a kids fish and chips. This fed 5 adults and a kid. We ate until we were bursting at the seams!! The cider, wine, and beer were all fantastic. Definitely worth it.

Stopped off for a few drinks by the water. The venue is large so getting a table somewhere shouldn’t be a problem. The staff were really helpful and attentive and our drinks arrived pretty quickly. A good vibe and a fun place to enjoy drinks with friends.

My visit to Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle (Perth) was truly incredible. The moment I stepped in, I was awestruck by the fantastic atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a few beers. The brewery’s unique industrial charm combined with a laid-back vibe made for an unforgettable experience. The beer selection was outstanding, catering to various tastes. Whether you prefer a classic pale ale or a more adventurous craft brew, they’ve got you covered. The staff’s knowledge and passion for their offerings were evident and added to the overall enjoyment. The brewery’s commitment to providing an exceptional environment was evident. The mix of indoor and outdoor seating options, along with picturesque views of Fremantle, created a welcoming setting. I can’t wait to revisit when I’m in Perth again. Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle is a must-visit for beer lovers and those looking for a remarkable place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Great place to gather around with a group of mates . This place is great to grab a few beers and enjoy some good quality local food at good prices. The hummus dip is a great starter and the tortilla beef omg delicious really love the plates here you won’t find many other places that do it like this. There are also seats outside on the water to set a nice scene and the environment is chill enough to bring the kids.

A very nice setting near the water in Fremantle. The outdoor areas are great for an ale. The establishment is very child friendly. The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick but we found the food to be very average, some dishes (the pizza) was very salty. Nice spot for a cold beer 🍻 but be selective if the food you order.

I walked not knowing what the go was and Karri the duty manager quickly took me under her wing. I tasted 3 of their beers before deciding on the LC which was delicious 😋 light and fruity. They have an excellent menu so i decided to make the most of it. What a fun, vibrant place. very busy with lots of families and a great vibe, my servers were pleasant and knowledgeable. I had the mushroom pizza, its warm gooey and wood fired, very delicious. From what i could see other diners were enjoying their meals and the nachos look good too.

I highly recommend the tour. The guide Aisha was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a good story teller ;). The brewery is complex but she explained it’s functions well and answered tough questions from beer geeks in the crowd. The tasting that followed was extensive (!) w 10+ beers and she knew the long list of hops that go into each style. Impressive!

Good beer and drinks, although food can have more options. No reservation allowed, but you can walk in and pick your own table. Order from scanning the menu on your phone. Tasting paddle not avail on the table menu, you have to order it at the bar itself. Lady at the beer counter was not friendly at all. Not interested to strike up any conversation, it’s like she’s really unhappy working there. Would still give it 4 stars for both food and drinks but not for the service at the beer counter. The other service staff were ok (especially the new girl).

Once again, the harbour view makes this a real treat. A medium pizza (which was quite good ) and two beverages totalled $50. A little on the steeper side, but overall a good dining experience. Service was great. Very friendly, and orders served quite quickly.

I am pleased to say I was so happy with the food and wonderful service at Little Creatures today. I will definitely be back. Stand out charred octopus with white bean puree. Chilli mussels I got medium and it was hot so please be careful those who don't like spice! Pizza was only alright I'd try something else next time.

Even though it was very busy, we (4 persons) managed to get a table upstairs facing the harbour. Although it was a bit rainy/overcast day, the view was great. The staff was very friendly, efficient and attentive. I couldn't believe how quickly we got the food (and of course beer) we ordered. Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. The beer was great as well.

I ate at Little Creatures for the first time recently and I will return again. The food was yummy and arrived at our table rather quickly. The staff was nice and ordering through the QR code was simple and convenient. It was a tad pricey but I would still recommend visiting here as the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was worth being part of! 👍🏻

The atmosphere is nice, vibrant and welcoming. However, my only disappointment was the other patrons nearby who brought their young children who is obviously exhausted and crying out loud. We arrived around 5.30pm. The beer and other drinks were great too. The food we ordered were OK too. I didn't enjoyed them because it was so spicy. The menu didn't specify chili on every items. It would be good if all items on menu could mention or include if it included or sprinkled with chili. I didn't order the chili mussels although in the menu it asked of hotness could be mild, medium or very hot. All the other items I ordered did not mention any chili so I thought they will be OK. If it had mentioned the chili, I would not have ordered them or at least ask to not include it. Overall, it is not a bad place to meet up with friends especially if you love spicy food. Also just be aware about the venue, that sometimes other patrons could bring young children who may be crying out loud. So if it is a date or birthday celebration as a couple, it may not be a good place to go. But if you don't mind children crying and yelling out loud while loud music being played and happy conversations nearby, then you will enjoy this place.

Participated in the brewery tour. There were only 3 of us on this particular tour, so was able to chat with our guide "Esher", who was a remarkable tour/beer guide expertly assisting us to navigate the world of hops, yeasts and brewing. Lovely place for craft beers on tap, delicious food and fun vibes. We got the beer tasting board, mussels and a pizza. We went around Halloween time so were met by staff in the cleverest costumes and the whole place was decorated to the nines. It's a massive pub with tonnes of seating. Outdoor in the summer is best because of the great view.

Great place to check out if visiting Fremantle. The beers are fresh and delicious and the wood fire pizza is great. The only thing is the beer paddle comes with pre selected beers and no changes are allowed which is strange for a brewery especially if one is driving and wishes to taste different options.

If you’re driving, parking around here is free on weekends. A worthy visit for any beer lovers, we stayed for about an hour to enjoy a drink and view while purchasing some local merchandise. You simply can’t go wrong with the $20 tasting tray; 10 x 85ml samples of their offerings, some of which only available here at the brewery. The 2 that stood out for me was the flavourful, tangy yet low in alcohol Little Hazy Lager and the only available at brewery Elsie WA Ale.

Came in for a coffee to kill some time, such a pleasant experience!!!! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted. The young girl who made the coffee was wonderful, a little bit of a jokester which I loved!!! The coffee cup was so cute! As we were leaving we seen off pleasantly. This is my favourite restaurant in Perth. It is always great service here as is the food. We did the truffle degustation which did not disappoint. The only gripe I could have is there was not enough sauce with the main but I didn't ask for more. Matching wines are always lovely here too.

Requested for vegetarian tasting menu. Really appreciated the effort to make it vegetarian specifically for us, however we did pay $135 each and was expecting a fine dining experience. The dishes were mediocre, all foods were just "cooked", no special cooking techniques, most savory dishes were just seasoned with salt and oil, no special ingredients (2 dishes had a bit of truffles in them), and most ingredients were ordinary and you can find in your local supermarkets. Foods were coarsely cut, and the presentation did not give me the "wow factor". Everything on the plates were seperate and i did not feel like they went well together. I feel like the tasting menu wasn't planned and prepared by experienced chefs. Both my friend and I felt like we would be able to season everything better. Also it would have been nice if the staff explained to us what was on the plate, as most of the time they just put the plates in front of us and left. It was a very underwhelming experience. I've tried many fine dining places in Perth and definitley had better. However, good ambience and staff were friendly.

THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. When we arrived we were welcomed with a warm beautiful greeting, we were amazed by how nice the staff are, so caring and friendly. The food was absolutely incredible we were 3 of us and each one ordered different steak and they were all delicious. The starters are unique and well-presented. All tastes delicious. The service was beyond any words can describe, definitely one of THE best experiences of Perth. Let’s not forget about the other aspects such as cleanliness which was 10/10 and art and architecture 10/10 in particular the big painting on the wall. Stunning.

The European Restaurant offers an extensive menu of traditional European dishes, including sandwiches, cakes and pastries in a warm and welcoming setting. They frequently have live music in the evenings, adding to the enjoyment of your evening.
EDITED. This is an old review. I need to revisit now that it is been rebranded into European Restaurant. Old review: Oh Miss Mauds Smorgasboard. What a joyful place. The collection of gallant and graceful hospitality staff truly go far to make your visit an enjoyable one. They consistently ask you how you’re doing, is the food alright, and they scoop your employ plates away faster than you can turn around sometimes. Each and every time I come, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner I leave feeling like it was a good use of time and money. It’s by far one of the most pricey buffet I’ve been to. With breakfast at $27 seven days a weeks, lunch at $45 on weekends and dinner at $55 it’s not for the frugal amongst us. The best of the lunch is the giant pavlova and the muscles in cream sauce. The endless string coffee is a fav of mine, as I like to stick around the whole meal and eat slowly, so my many a cup of joe helps is flow.

Very nice, clean, quiet hotel would definitely recommend it. But was a bit disappointed with dinner does look lovely on the pictures, in reality the selection was much less than in the pictures. Breakfast on the other hand was great, bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, juices cereal and much more.

We dined here as part of the Miss Maud Hotel room package deal. Buffet dinner was superb. Staff were friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. The selections of food from seafood, salads, hot dishes and desserts were delicious. In particular the beef brisket which was melt in your mouth and deserved 5 stars of its own - and I'm not a huge fan of beef! All the desserts were so yum, many are sold in Miss Maud cafes. Our only "gripe": the chocolate mousse is overly sweet. It was like the chef sneezed while adding the sugar and accidentally put in 200% sugar. The birthday balloons were a lovely surprise as was the musician who came to our table with a slice of chocolate "birthday" cake aka Queen Silvia. Breakfast was a laid back relaxing affair with equally efficient and friendly staff. The crepes are very addictive and so mouth watering. Everything else was standard breakfast buffet fare all well cooked and nicely presented. Of note: the two male staff members who manned the restaurant reception at dinner and breakfast (sorry don't know their names) were so lovely and welcoming. They are a great choice to be the "face" of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend dining here.

Firstly: any individual over the age of 10 yrs that uses the word "yummy" in a written review, deserves to be drowned in a warm bucket of milk! I can recommend the breakfast buffet here - for $27, it covers all the bases. Fresh, excellent drip coffee,(which in itself is a rarity these days with espresso/latte etc) juices and all the breakfast items you can expect. The pancakes and fresh whipped cream were also a nice addition. The decor is a bit dated, but that didn't interfere with enjoying the food. To correct another reviewer, breakfast starts at 6:45am. I don't know where he got the 8:30am from? The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Worth a visit.

WOW...!! I'm sorry but I've had to change my review regarding the ICONIC MISS MAUD RESTAURANT & HOTEL... It is now called the NEMONIC... I haven't actually been here since it changed ownership, I remember when it was called The European Hotel, so I'm sorry that I had to edit my past review.... Unfortunately, The Miss Maud Restaurant & Hotel is now gone forever... Among many other companies, especially small business owners in Perth... I will leave the photos here, just so we don't forget the awesome restaurant, especially the pastry shop which had some delicious cakes... Miss Maud Cafès are still around Perth. City Arcade, Hay Street West & The Carillon Arcade.. I'll have to go visit NEMONIC so I can write a decent review... The exterior is still the same...

Bread in Common is a converted warehouse that offers seasonal menus and artisanal breads, cooked in wood-fired ovens made of volcanic rock. Located in Fremantle, the restaurant also functions as a bakery and bar. The venue is known for its delicious hot-from-the-oven bread served with freshly churned salted butter and housemade preserves. The breakfast menu features hearty options like scrambled eggs, smoked brisket with poached eggs, and indulgent waffles.
A beautiful venue for a casual Saturday or for an occasion to celebrate. This place is a treasure of Fremantle hidden in a one way side street. Note: please be prepared to spend a little longer finding parking if driving! We started with some beautiful fresh bread with olives and salted butter. Our entire group had the main prawn dish which was to die for. There was just the right amount of prawns for a fulfilling main dish, however, was light and enjoyable for a summer evening. We each had a different dessert. Each was as enjoyable as our main. Will absolutely be returning. Staff were incredibly busy, as expected for a Saturday night in Fremantle, but each staff member was attentive so overall we had excellent service.

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere even though the lamb ribs I ordered were way too acid. I have not expected to pay so much for small portions that don’t come with sides. It could have been a bit of lack of attention from my end at looking at the menu but just be prepared to pay for sides at a high cost. Overall good drinks and the bread is to die for.

We haven't visited this place in a long while so after 3 odd years we decided to give it a go. We drove all the way from Mandurah and it was generally worth it. We were welcomed by a friendly waitress and the setting was great. Looking down the menu, the options were good however pricey. The combination We tried was quite yummy and the chef's attention to detail and product quality on plate was fantastic. You have to try their bread for obvious reasons, coupled with the lamb gravy....Yummo!!! 😀😀😀. We ordered the lamb ribs and let me tell you the sauce that was in the plate, I could drink a couple of glasses of that...nice lemony 🍋. With this We had the roasted cauliflower dish...OMG...beautiful combination with the lamb ribs...I couldn't ask for a better meal. One criticism though was that they gave me literally a drop of bubbles for 13 bloody dollars!!! See pic. At least fill the glass up you know? Other than that it was a nice spoil to visit this place and if you want to impress your date? Take him/her here...you will NOT regret it. Our average spent was $40...Not bad at all. Thanks Bread in common 👍👊🤟🙏😀😀❤

The bread was easily the best part as it was so good. But the lamb was stinky for me so if you have trouble with lambs normally then best skip it. The pork was nice but it was sweet. Nice atmosphere for evening drinks though I think.

Food was average. Ordered the lamb ribs and market fish. Lamb ribs were too acidic for consumption, even for an individual. Although the waiter kept saying the plates were for sharing, it was just too acidic even for the first bite. The acidity should be have been toned down even though they use sherry vinegar. It was unpleasant and felt like I was soaking my tongue in vinegar. BAD. The fish, however, was decent. It wasn’t fantastic. No wow factor, but a decent muted dish, with some layers in flavour, probably due to the leek, celery oil/puree. When we paid, some other customer complained of white hair in their food. They got that dish waived, which left us disappointed. (Edit) I’ve noticed that other reviews also mentioned the lamb ribs were too acidic. It’s probably because the waiter didn’t feedback to the chef, and normalised the situation. Dear waiter (without apron) you play an important role!

We are visitors from out of town. We came to this place after having read the reviews. Unfortunately, the service felt quite pretentious while the food is just average in taste and portion size. Prices though are above average i.e. expensive. We ordered just one portion of bread but as we were finishing our meal, the staff came over and gave us another portion of bread (with no butter) saying "this is for you" - we thought that they were just being nice and giving it to us for free. Later on when we paid the bill (the same staff who "gave" us the bread prepared the bill), we saw that he had charged us for 3 portions of bread and butter. We had no mood to argue the bill and so we just paid and left.

It was my first time dining at Bread In Common with 4 other people. I really enjoyed the food from entrees to main courses. The bread and the spread was amazingly nice. The main courses we ordered were very tasty and pretty close to fine dining quality. We all had shared plates. The interior setting of the restaurant was pretty welcoming. The settings in the upper floor was cosy. The staff were friendly and the food service were not slow at all being a packed house. Although parking on the streets are limited, it is recommended to park at the multi-storey car park which is a short walking distance to the restaurant.

We had a fantastic lunch at Bread in Common. The food was fantastic, packed with flavour and the wine list was extensive. The dining experience revolves around shared plates. There were lots of Vegetarian options available. Staff were extremely helpful and suggested several dishes. Will definitely go back.

Beautifully designed and furnished place. Friendly and helpful service. Had the steak sandwich and an eggplant dish. Also had the bread, (you need to order it separately) it was fresh and tasty. Had mocca before our lunch, it was average. They brew and destil liquors, may be worth exploring these as they have a bit of a fermentation lab going on (although distilling is not done on this site) We came here to have a nice moment with friends we hadn't seen for a while, and the place delivered on this: table for four by the window, timely service intervention, not too noisy environment and a great chic vibe.

We booked for 7 people. Atmosphere and decor was beautiful and impressive. If you ordered bread per person, they will give additional bread on request to savour up the sauce from the mains. Bread came warm with a variety of flavour. We added a side dip, lamb gravy with chilli jam - spicy with a punch of flavour. We shared 2 lamb ribs, 2 sirloin Angus steak, pork belly, duck fat roasted potatoes and parsami with nectarines. My favourite... Pork belly, tender with well balanced flavours. Not so favourite...Lamb ribs were on the fatty side and lacking in flavour. Steak was overpriced for $40, we probably got 150gm on a bed of silverbeet leaf. $46 per person, including 2 beer and 2 soft drinks. Definitely not worth the price.

Beautiful cafe/restaurant. Loved their food. I don’t normally have a sweet tooth but tried their almond croissant(yummy filling and very flaky), cinnamon scroll and fruit toast with home made butter. Very fresh and yummy a bit too sweet for me (but that could be just me). Coffee was good too. We were there for the breakfast. A bit on the expensive side and don’t think they have anything vegan. A couple of vegetarian savoury dishes for breakfast with eggs but did not try them.

Lady who sat us down wasn't welcoming...put us in a bad mood off the get-go. Coffee cup dirty all over the handle (photo attached). Slightly over priced for portion sizes. Nice decor. Has potential but improvements needed.

It has been on my food bucket list for so long, we finally made it there and we are so glad we did. Impeccably presented set up, fantastic, prompt and enthusiastic staff. When you know the menu is going to be all delicious it really helps for a staff member to break it down for us... and they did. We nibbled our way through drinks, little shares and dessert. 100% going back to nibble through more.

Good service and great sit down breakfast with coffee. However, we bought a loaf of ciabatta to take home and 3 days later I noticed some white residue on the outside - I thought it was just flour. I took the remainder of the loaf apart and there was a lot of mold in it... This should not have happened after 3 days.

Great atmosphere in this modern style restaurant! Very good food quality and presentation. We had the squid served with beans (more beans than squid actually) very tasty but you would expect not the beans to be the main ingredient reading the menu,. The kangaroo with mulberry, hazelnut and pickled onion was outstanding in its flavour and very well cooked. Pumpkin dip is a nice way to start, vegan cheesecake great ending... very good wine selection. Pricey menu but worthy.
