The ambience is good. The music Nice. The drinks cool. But the self made chairs are unconfortable.

Service and atmosphere was very good. Starter was bruschetta shared followed by mains; Sea food paella which was very good. Beef steak was nice but was a bit more done than I wanted. Will go for medium to rare next time. Wine was a Merlot which was nice but cost over €30. All in all a good night costing €80.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this restaurant. I honestly can't find fault with anything. The food, the staff and the ambiance couldn't have been better. A little bit more expensive than other restaurants, but well worth it. We will be back!

The garden of this restaurant is amazing, the details of furniture combined with the live music offers you a nice internal peace. But, we went at 20... 21 o clock and if in the beginning the staff was friendly and promptly, as soon as the restaurant was full the staff was totally overwhelmed. We waited a lot for food and check and that was the reason which destroyed our internal peace 😔. The food was ok but I believe is the most expensive and the quantity is less than all I have eated. But... overall I recommend the place.

The service and atmosphere was really nice with a saxophone player performing live music (Saturday evening). Had bruschetta between the two of us. Mains were sea food paella and beef steak fro my self. Steak was little tough but did have good flavour. Instead of medium would get medium to rare next time. Wine was nice but prices at €30 plus. The whole meal came to €86 which was not to bad.

Great food but with consequences- Deeply Saddened to leave such a review On Saturday we visited the restaurant Zakanthi at Kalamaki. The environment was amazing. The seating area was at the back garden of the restaurant being surrounded by trees, flowers and fantastic smells. The waiters were really helpful and polite and they ensured we were wanted for nothing. The live music played by the talented saxophonist made it seem that this would be the best dinner we have ever had in Zante-however, as it will be explained below, this didn’t seem to be the case. When it comes to the food, prima facie it was absolutely AMAZING. For starters, we ordered the Zakanthi Salad with salmon avocado leaves and dried tomatoes that was amazing and Baked Feta Parcels with honey and sesame. We were also offered mushrooms with melted cheese and chips with garlic sauce that were on the house. As mains, I ordered the Stable Steak while the three people accompanying me ordered the Chicken Fillet Zakanthi with rice and a pork steak that I don’t remember the name respectively. In the end we were offered Watermelon and Melon which was on the house. As I told you before, this would easily be the best meal I have ever had in Zante if the unexpected event hadn’t occurred. The three of us that tried the mushrooms with the melted cheese-the fourth person didn’t try them-got diarrhoea one (1) hour later. I would have never thought that I would get diarrhoea from such a well-kept and good restaurant. I am sure that this event does not in anyway depict the hygiene standards of the restaurant and even if I am writing this review now, I can reassure you that it is worth visiting Zakanthi restaurant and what we experienced was just an isolated incident. Trust me I was really hesitant to write this review because I really liked their food and atmosphere but since I respect my readers and feel the responsibility to review restaurants and hotels honestly, I had to do it. To conclude, I am really sad to write such a review and to be honest, if this event hadn’t occurred, I would give 5 stars. Sorry Zakanthi.

Lovely place and staff. Amazing atmosphere. The food, omg.. incredible! The owner Nikos is really friendly and even took some time to come to our table and give us some tips about what to do in the island. We’ll definitely be back whenever in Zákynthos again.

Service really fast. Four cats but they looked quite healthy. Food was also delicious. And the atmosphere and restaurant garden was so pretty!

Even though we didn't have reservation for dinner, they managed to find table for us with minimal waiting time. Excellent service, they were quick and always there, knew what to recommend, 5 ⭐. Beautiful atmosphere, cozy, we had a guy playing classic on 🎷 that night. We were more than pleased with our food, took some Greek traditional dishes, starting from olive spread, beef liver in balsamic sauce to Greek salad, lamb and beef specialties of the house. Chocolate surprise,like a cherry on top for the finish. Very good!!!

Fantastic food little bit slow on bring food out over 1hr for main meals but it was lovely truly lovely and live entertainment fantastic 👋🏻and a lovely local beer too wash it down

Cozy garden restaurant with lots of trees and live music creating a magical atmosphere. The food was good and prices were just above average. The service could be friendlier - some waiters made us feel welcome while some others weren't much talkative. We ordered fresh sea bream, lamb chops and grilled halloumi.

Came here with a large group. We ordered starters along with mains. They brought our starters out 15 minutes apart, meaning that some of our members had finished before others had got there starter. The waiters were obnoxious and very rushed. One good comment is that the food does taste nice.

We ended up eating here because we saw the place a bit crowded and the people must go to a place where you can eat well. The service was awesome, the waiters were very polite, helpful and joyful. What I can say is that the gyros tasted good but it was a bit chewy. The prawns with tomato sauce came half peeled on the backside, and you had to do a lot of messy work to get the meat outs mind you while fully covered in tomato sauce . The bathroom was clean.

It's a very beautiful place, the food is on point and the pizza was very very good. The only thing negative is the waiting, it was very long.

We had a Seafood Pizza, some pasta and two times the salmon and prawns dish. The prawns on the pizza were not peeled. It looked like a pizza margarita with some seafood dropped on top and it had no flavour. The same applies for the salmon and prawns dish, the prawns were not peeled and also difficult to peel. The potato wedges and rice was also very dry. The salmon itself was ok though and the pasta was also nice. In general it was kind of disappointing.

Perfect place to have a delicious and traditional food. I had a very pleasant stay at this restaurant. The owners were very friendly, the menu war very rich and everything was very tasty. During my stay in Zakynthos, this is the best restaurant i i have been to. Would definetly recommend.

Very tasty food. I ate 3 times here: greek, mexican and intalian food + humus from Israel and every time the food was delicious. The service and the host were very kind every time.

I don't really leave reviews but this time I had to. This is my second time this week at this restaurant and I need to say that the food of high quality and very fresh. The staff and manager are very professional and have an eye to details. Hope to come back soon 😊

Lovely place, we ended up visiting twice as it’s right on the strip. Food is great however on our first visit we had nearly finished our food before our drinks had arrived.

The food was literally the best I've ever had, and the servers were sooo professional and nice!

They separated our bill into a Greek and English bill. On the Greek bill they added three extra starters than we got and on the English bill was our correct order. Had I not compared the bill I would not have noticed. I wonder how many other tourists they’ve done this too…

Amazing good food, traditional Greek with a tiny twist. The view is gorgeous and the staff really polite and service very good. I am coming to the island for years and just learned about this beautiful place! So much attention to detail! A must on your stay on Zakynthos! Try the Tzatziki, Saganaki and Aubergine With Feta! Great. Located off the beaten track, yet delivering one of the most beautiful view of Turtle Island from the main land — and serving great food: the Greek salad featured some nice textured feta cheese, tasty Kalamata olives and fresh vegetables. The chicken souvlaki was tender and tasty, with some French fries delivered with it. Service was great, and the view from the terrace made it into a lovely lunch in the afternoon.

Very good quality food! Fair prices and beautiful view, also friendly and fast service. What else can you ask for? Would totally recommend to anyone visiting the island!

We came here most evenings during our holiday and the food was utterly beautiful. The backdrop to the restaurant is stunning and thankfully the food and service matched it. Some restaurants rely on the scenery to bring in customers, Votsalo Taverna does not, it brings the wow factor with authentic Greek cooking and a service to match. The carafes of wine was the cherry on top. Fantastic.

I've been traveling in Greece for over 30 days. without a doubt top three of the restaurants I ate at. I highly recommend everything I ate, very tasty, impeccable service, fair price. this is the flavor I was looking for. my husband and I are returning for the 3rd time this week, we spend an average of 50 to 55 euros with a starter, wine, two dishes and two desserts.

Best resaurant on the Island. Had dinner once and we came back 2 times, for other items on the menu😀 Also local beers on the menu!!

Lovely place, good food. The highlight of the meal was the octopus cooked in tomato sauce; I've never had such tender octopus! It literally melted in our mouths. The tzatziki was too heavy for my liking, and the portion too large for two people - but that is subjective. The grilled sardines were a little on the dry side, but it was nice to have some steamed vegetables in egg-lemon sauce served on the side. Very friendly staff!

Ordered a ribeye medium-rare and it came rare but it didn’t bother me that much really. As i was eating i noticed a good amount of fat and it was disgusting, i returned the plate and they brought me another one, as i was waiting the whole staff was looking me with anger. As the second plate came. It came again rare and with a smaller amount of fat to be honest i wouldn’t recommend it, ordering a 32€ plate and getting a plate like this is terrible. Good view tho 😂

Sunset dinner with a view. The staff were all friendly. The wait was a bit long for the food to be served but they were all tasty. Servings were big as well, and the zuccini balls with tatziki was amazing, ate them long before i was able to take a pic.

Obviously amazing place. Service was great and they were helpful. Sunbeds were €15 for the pair, which we were pleased with. My girlfriends bolognese was a little dry. The meat in it and the pasta was good, but it was lacking sauce. Thought my sovlaki would come with tzatsiki and pita as the rest of the island’s sovlaki does, but sadly didn’t, so i added some tzatsiki ans bread to my order. It still keeps a 4 star rating because the sovlaki meat was super good, and the bay was an amazing spot to swim and spend the day in. We came around 11:00, when there were still sunbeds available. Stayed for 5 hours. Could use a ladder in the water for kids and such, but worked for us.

The beach is amazing and this place is in a perfect location. The food is pretty good too. We've not had the big problems with the service that others mention, but I can totally see what they mean. The service is slow, unfriendly and expensive. The guy who's handling the parking lot acts like he's guarding the queen's jewels against barbarians, for absolutely no reason, even if you're parking to spend money there. These people would be fired from any place that respects its customers within days. But this isn't a place that respects its customers, it's a money making machine. Keep this in mind and still go if you want - if you ignore the bad service, it's a great experience. Just go early as it gets full quite fast. Sunbeds are €20 per pair + umbrella (or tree).

Wonderful restaurant overlooking the sea. We had the seafood plate good for 2 people and it was delicious and affordable for its quality. We thought it would be an overrated touristy restaurant since it was near a popular beach spot but it wasn’t at all! Service was very efficient and welcoming. Thank you!

The views are spectacular. Food was good. One suggestion I would pay 5 euros for a quick rinse off for a shower.

The restaurant has a shaded terrace with a beautiful view of the beach and the open sea. The employees are friendly, but due to the large crowd, you are constantly condemned to wait, whether you ordered a drink at the sunbeds or a place at a table in the restaurant. When you get in to the restaurant, there is a wait for service and food. Even when we wanted to pay we had to wait a long time. When the food finally arrives, we were served a grilled chicken drumstick, even though the menu says it's a chicken fillet. Prices are god, but food not so much.

It’s worth the trip for the view alone. Possibly the best waters I have ever swam in, in Europe. Beautiful Blue crystal clear waters and it’s a joy to swim with the little fish! Now into the tavern…. What a clever little money maker! How they managed to be the only food place at the port area is very good luck indeed! The place gets BUSY - I was quite surprised and we didn’t even go on an exceptionally hot day! There was rain! Their sun bed system needs more work though, we found a lovely bed with no belongings and the staff said it was free, only to be kicked off after 10 minutes! The original purchasers forgot to place their belongings on the chairs to show it’s taken so make sure you do this! We were then directed to ONE sun bed, between the 2 of us. Good thing I’m tiny and petite and could fit on this with my fiancé! Service - the woman with sun beds, she’s great. The remaining staff - they were friendly. It’s a chaotic restaurant, staff numbers appear to be restricted. It took a while to get a seat and it’s frustrating when you see about 6 tables free just standing there…. Service is slow, but food was great! I ordered the souvlaki. I’m glad I came but I would advise you set off early to get the bed you want!

After spending the day swimming and tanning at the cove, there is no better place to be than this little tavern on top of a cliff. At sunset time, you have a beautiful light for photos 📸 and at the same time you are covered from the rays. The food was quite basic (small choice) but good.

Amazing beach with crystal clear sea. They are providing great sunbeds with a very nice view and service. The staff is outstanding friendly and polite. Food is also great and cones with fair pricing. Also offering free WiFi. Definitely a highlight of Zakynthos and we enjoyed the relaxing day

The location is a great place, the restaurant gives you a great view onto the ocean and to the sun set. Also there is a possibility to get down to the water, at one of the best spots we saw on Zakynthos. Sadly the food was not the best. Maybe the cook had a bad day or it was a new one. And the same goes for the service. Our wish to have some time between starter and main dish was ignored (even though we had a native speaking person). The main dish came, without taking away the empty plates from the starters before. In summary nice place, but with some improvements necessary.

Porto Limnionas restaurant in Greece boasts a breathtaking location with stunning views. The crystal-clear waters offer excellent snorkeling opportunities, although access involves navigating rocky terrain and steep climbs. Unfortunately, the staff appear preoccupied and lack warmth, while strict rules prohibit bringing personal food or drinks. While the setting is appealing, the overall experience is marred by the challenging access and indifferent service, making a return visit unlikely.

Nice tavern with good food. The highlight is the access to the water of the beautiful bay. You can park here for free if you rent sunbeds for 15€ per day. Good and friendly service.

The view is amazing, as expected, especially if you ask for a good table. The food is average at best, really dropped the quality from what I remember (last time I was here in 2014). Service was quick to bring the food to our table, however they didn’t bother picking up the empty plates once we were done and wanted to stay and enjoy the sunset for a while longer. Had to ask for the bill thrice. Come for the views, if that’s what you’re into; but don’t expect much else.

Tavern is located in amazing place with stunning view. Very popular and busy place. Recommendation to book a table in advance. Fish was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Unfortunately prawns were overcooked and with not removed veins. Worth to visit because of the location.

Location and staff 5 star. Food only average, so a 4 star rating is fair. The location is amazing, located top of the hill with breathtaking view and sunset. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The appetizers were very nice but the main dish was rather disappointing.

Really nice place overall as the atmosphere and views are unbeatable. The food is quite good as well and the service is a bit slow unfortunately but the views make up for it. It’s also is a bit on the pricier side and the food is good but not phenomenal. Regardless we still had a really enjoyable time here and I’d definitely recommend people to try it out once for themselves as we’d probably return again ourselves one day because the Sunset views here on their own are worth the experience and the food is quite good as well.

The view is just unbeatable! You absolutely feel like in a movie there, the island is fantastic and they placed this restaurant in the perfect place to appreciate the island's beauty. Food was ok, I got salmon, it's expensive but worth it for the view. They also have adorable cats. I would visit again.

We had an amazing evening! The restaurant does not only offer an amazing view, really kind and attentive service and outstanding food but also a great concept of enjoying your drinks or desserts in the different cozy seating areas of the place. The location is just beautiful, just be sure to book in advance, way before the sunset, then you can enjoy the restaurant even more! The staff was amazing, very welcoming, food we ordered was okay, loved the starters, but the main, veal - not the best, but oh, desserts! Just lovely. Would love to come back to try more options from the menu.

Fantastic place for a drink and drink only. Food leaves much to be desired. Our salads were missing several key ingredients mentioned on the menu like beet roots and avocado. It's a little sad considering the potential of this venue. I'll always come back for a glass of wine. The view & feel of the place is stunning.

We have been here some days ago. It is a beautiful place you should visit for sunset! My tip: book a table 1,5 hours before sunset! Otherwise you are quite late. AND: book as early as possible (some days in advance) to make sure you get a nice table with a beautiful view!

On of the better resturants. Not because of the food, though it tasted good, but the People working there, the atmosphere, the location, the unique architecture makes it special. An experience going there, not only a restaurant. Beautiful view. Linguine and lamb chops, weak was delicious. The panacotta was perfect and refreshing. The chocolate fondant was made perfectly, a bit heavy dessert for me personally, but perfect for a chocolate and salt caramel lover.

A beautiful and unique restaurant situated away from the city on top of a cave (which you can visit). It oversees the forest and a small road. Highly recommend sitting next to the edge as you can see the scenery. A bit on the pricier side but the location and interior design make it worth it. We ordered the prosecco, a beer, sea bass fillet, and pork tenderloin with beer sauce + one of the salads. The food was all-around great and just the right amount. At the end we were given 2 complimentary drinks and 2 sweets. Great place if you want to get away from the city and have a (very) quiet and peaceful meal.

Probably the best place we have been on the island! Everything is just so perfect, from the food to the view! We actually came twice during our vacation. I highly recommend Cave Damianos, wish I could go there once again to admire the sunset!

Probably the best located restaurant in the area, with a superb view and very good food. The service is impeccable, the employees very kind and the wine exceptional. The quality of service is exceptional, but I recommend that you reserve a seat before going there, as it is always crowded. The sunset hours are the ones that offer the most beautiful view.

Stunning view and even more amazing food. Grilled Salmon is 10/10. One of the best restaurants on the Island. There is also cave 2/3 minutes away by walk.
