Ancient Ruins
Kong Family Mansion is a historic site that serves as the home of the descendants of Confucius. It features a museum, garden, and spacious courtyards that showcase its rich history. Despite its popularity, it is not overrun with tourists even during peak seasons. Visitors can witness a nearby parade at the city gate which adds to their overall experience. The mansion itself boasts multiple courtyards and is not overly commercialized allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in Chinese culture.
Great place and not too crowded even during summer. There’s a parade at the city gate nearby that’s worth seeing. The family mansion was large and had many courtyards. It’s not too commercialized and you can enjoy seeing the historic building. When I went there in July 2019, they had a renovation so not all buildings were open.

(Translated by Google) The Confucius Mansion, also known as the "Yanshenggong Mansion", is adjacent to the Confucius Temple in the west. It is the residence of the direct descendants of Confucius in the past dynasties. It has the title of "the first family in the world" and is also a world cultural heritage. The Confucius Mansion was founded in 1038 AD. The building is based on the highest-level nine-entry courtyard. It covers a vast area and has 463 halls and buildings. It is a representative building that combines the government office and the inner residence into one. It is also the longest-lasting building in history. Feudal noble manor. When I walked into the Confucius Mansion, I deeply felt the magnificence of a wealthy family and the style of a scholarly family that I saw on TV. At the exit of Confucius Mansion, after passing the tourist service center and a street of various handicraft souvenirs, get on the eco-friendly car unique to the scenic spot and leave, heading to the bus parking lot. If you go to Konglin, you must also take an eco-friendly car.
