Egremni Beach

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Egremni Beach, situated on the west coast of Lefkada Island, boasts stunning views and crystal-clear waters that have earned it the title of No.1 Beach in the World for four consecutive years. It is renowned for its shingle and white sand shoreline, framed by forested cliffs that offer a picturesque setting reminiscent of Caribbean beaches.
Great beach just follow the description of Google maps until you reach a gate that can't be crossed by car. There are several places to park in front. The following road is quite steep but not too long and you have to climb around 400 steps to reach the beach. But the views are great and it's really worth it. Don't forget to bring some water and a hat since there is no shade and no services.

Beach of unreal beauty! Chrystal clear turquoise water makes you feel extraordinary. Small stones on the beach could feel unconfortable for feet, beach shoes recomended. You can rent parasol for 5€, no sunbeds. To reach the beach there are stairs with 400 steps. There is a little restoran at the top of the stairs and shop where you can buy beach shoes, beach and snorkling equipment. Parking is 1km from the stairs and than you go by foot on steep winding road. Parking costs 5€ per day. Parking on the road edge is for free but it is ocupied usualy.
Zoran Jovanovic — Google review
The most stunning beach in Lefkada for me! So big, wide, clear water, nice waves. The water was still cold at the end of May, but for sure during summer it will be perfect. Better to reach by boat in my opinion.
Nina Marinova — Google review
Beautiful location with great weather to swim or just chill and enough space to enjoy your day. There are two possible ways to visit the location. First (from my site better) to visit with a ship tour that anchors on the beach and you can enjoy your stay. Second is to visit with a car. The parking is quite above the beach and the hike starts by passing an steal door. After that it is a quite long hike in the sun on an road part. After the ria there is a scenic walk on the bridge/stairs. Best location for photos but it is hard to get to.
Nejc Ravnjak — Google review
Best beach in Ionian islands, such lovely water and small while pebbles which don’t hurt feet. The beach stretches along huge which means people can spread out. I wish u could spend more time there!
Jason G — Google review
Very difficult to reach by car. Parking is almost impossible due to lack of parking space, barbed wire stretched on the sides of the road almost all the way to the beach gate. You have to park 1km away from gate, and you got another 2km to walk to the 400 stairs descent. And all that back but uphill, a very difficult climb. Much easier to reach by boat. Also, the traffic signs leading you to the road to the beach are almost non-existant.
Strahinja E. Milojevic — Google review
Very long and hard road on foot to the way back!!! 1.5 km Atention ! For family with small children! Nice beach ! No sunbeds for rental! Only umbrela for 5 euro.
Daniel Stoica — Google review
I have visited Egremni beach several times. The walk down and up is hard going and not for the faint hearted! The beach is stunning, the water is clear and blue and it’s definitely one of the best beaches in Greece but please bear in mind: You park up and then walk approximately 1km down a very steep and winding road. You then have to walk down 360 steps to the beach. The walk back is tougher - the incline of the road is 15%. Take water and take your time. 1km doesn’t seem far but in the heat it is. You can also hire umbrellas on the beach for €8 which are a must as there is no shade at all. They also sell drinks but not cheap - €4 for a small can of beer.
Lampros Konstantellos — Google review
Egremni Beach in Lefkada is one of the most famous beaches and one of the most beautiful but Porto Katsiki and Mylos beach on the West coast are nicer in my opinion. KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED 10 EUROs FOR PARKING HERE! Also the neighbooring beach Gialos is similarly nice but with very easy acces by car right on the beach. If going there especially in warm weather be prepared for quite difficult physical excercise because you have to walk a lot on sun without shaddow. After the earthquake the cliff is not as magnificent as before but still impressive. The stairs from the hill makes the way down more comfortable.
Michael Skurka — Google review
Very nice view of the sea! Pros and cons: Pros: The water has a smarald color. You can find a spot on the beach at any time! Can take some great photos! There is a kiosk on the beach and one tavern at half way from the parking to the beach. Cons: The shore is rocky with no sand. There are waves most of the time. Swimming here is a big challenge. I don't recommend for kids to swim since the entrance is very abrupt and waves will take you away from the shore. I haven't seen any lifeguard... Parking is 10 euro with no receipt and a 1.5 km walk down to the beach. Consider walking back to the parking lot after 👀. Overall for me are more cons than pros...
Pappy Ratoon — Google review
A very interesting experience. Parking with cost before the curves which at going down are ok, but after climbing the stairs which are not for those with sick of heights when you see the ground between the stairs and then the asfalt road under the sun with some spots under the tress it is a really adventure to see this beach. Another alternative to this beach is Porto Katsiki
Maria Alexandra — Google review
Beautiful large beach in Lefkada, azure sea without waves. Without crowds. Slightly worse acces - about 1,5 km on an asphalt road with a large slope and over 400 steps.
Stanislav Flori?n — Google review
The incomparable beauty of Egremni beach in Lefkada made it one of the most beautiful and much-publicized landscapes in the world. The water surrounding the beach is clean, turquoise and offers one of the best conditions for swimming in Europe. Egremni beach is also one of the largest beaches of Lefkada, with a length of over 2.5 km. Egremni beach attracts many travelers annually and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Its name comes from the impressive rocks that surround the beach. The beach from 2021 now has access both on foot and from the sea! The access on foot is not very easy and you will probably get tired of the uphill route on the way back. The beach is very long so it doesn't seem to be crowded. Do not forget to take water and sun protection with you because there are no trees for shading.
manos psathas — Google review
One of the best beaches in Lefkada. From parking lot you have 1 km walk and then ~ 400 stairs to go to the beach. You can rent umbrellas from the beach and buy some food and drinks from the restaurant situated after you climb back the ~ 400 stairs.
Bogdan Constantin Radulescu — Google review
Incredibly beautiful. The parking was 5 euro for ATV. You have to walk 1km to get to the stairs. It’s a little bit difficult if you go at 2 pm and it’s 40 degrees but it’s worth it. 😂 Also I recommend staying for the sunset 🌅
Polina Vassileva — Google review
10 euros parking. 1.5 km walk. 400 steps stairs leading to one of the most impressive beach of Greece. What a stunning place. Enjoy and rest a few hours as the way back up is also to be remembered!
Jeremie Bernard — Google review
Giving 4/5 only because I saw it is quite hard to reach out by car. We went to this amazing beach with our daily cruise and it is so beautiful!! Totally worth the effort, water is stunning, the beach is white from all the rocks. Great place to visit and enjoy!
Cristina Gutue — Google review
A very interesting and long beach. If you are not in the condition to go down and then go up, I would recommend coming by boat. The road is winding, you can walk for parking for free. The beach is fantastic, you should experience it. Finally, I would like to mention that it is not suitable for small children and the elderly immobile people.
Nikola Panzalovic — Google review
It’s kind of a long walk to the beach and I definitely suggest you come earlier in the morning so it’ll be easy to walk and you’ll find a parking spot near the entrance. The beach is wonderful and you have lots of space to put your tent or umbrella. You also find a bar before the stairs that has food and drinks and you can also order from downstairs if you don’t want to climb them once more. It’s not the best IMO but it definitely is in the top 3 beaches on lefkada island.
raduS — Google review
If you get there early you can park for free before parking because they charge 10€. After parking you have to walk about 1km and then go for 400 steps. It's easy to go down but when you have to return it is a long way. Not recommended for people that are not in condition to walk. Bring a lot of water and sun ubrellas and water shoes. One of the biggest beaches in Lefkada. A lot of people comes but even then you can have your own space and privacy. Sometimes there are pretty big waves. Yes it is pretty and the colours are real.
Никола Томић — Google review
Superb. It takes you 1km and 400 steps to get there from parking but it is worth the trouble.Long sandy beach with crystal blue water,no natural shade.Water, sand it is just perfection. ( don't forget you have to walk back).
Marko Ličina — Google review
10 euros parking for the whole day. It is ideal to go to the beach in the morning because it is a 1.3 km walk on the road and then down 400 steps. All the way is more difficult at departure ☺️. The shade is natural until around 11 o'clock and then there are umbrellas for rent. Although the road is difficult, the beach is worth the effort, the water has an incredible color.
zaharia maria — Google review
The Egremni Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkada. To get there you should walk 1km downhill and then you have to get down on a sturdy staircase (~400 steps). Keep in mind that you will have to take the same route back to the parking place. Parking is available and it costs 5 euros per day, on top of the hill. There is a taverna open on the top of the stairs. There are umbrellas available for renting 5-7 euros per day. The water is very beautiful and the beach is wide and long, covered mostly with pebbles. The landscape is surreal.

Porto Katsiki

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Porto Katsiki Beach, located on the southern tip of the west coast of Lefkada Island in Greece, has been awarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. This narrow beach boasts picturesque views and turquoise waters that are closely bordered by steep cliffs. The sandy strip perfectly matches with azure waters at the foot of towering chalk cliffs, creating a unique scenic view full of intense natural colors.
If you're coming to Lefkada Island make sure you don't miss this amazing place. It's true that it is overcrowded however the dip in the warm and clear Azur water is so worth it. The beach is in the shade until around noon but after that is on direct sun so if you're planning to stay for a whole day make sure to bring a lot of sunblock or some kind of cover to protect yourself from the direct sun. The parking is okay however the daily fee is ridiculously expensive for just a dirt space next to the cliff.
Katie — Google review
Beautiful view, but crowded. You cand order food or drinks on the beach. The parking is 10 euro
Narcis Gavriliu — Google review
Amazing view, the sea is calm and very blue. There are stairs to descend to the beach, but they are manageable. Food can be ordered directly on the beach from the restaurant above. Parking is available but requires payment.
Laudoni Delia — Google review
Stunning beach, €5 parking for the day, no shade or loungers on the beach so advised to bring your own. There are a few shops for food drinks & beach items etc before you climb down the steps to the beach.
Cardiffgirl _ — Google review
The beauty of this beach cannot be easily described. Even if planet Earth is an extremely beautiful planet, this place seems as if it doesn't belong to Earth. It feels as if it belongs to an even prettier planet! I would recommend you visit it either in early May or late September so that you enjoy being there on your own.
Nick Renessis — Google review
Parking is expensive and the road to the beach is not easy. The beach, however, is breathtaking. It is once in a life time experience so I recommend everyone to go there and swim in this turquoise crystal clear sea.
Nur Yigitoglu — Google review
Spectacular beach! There are several places before going down the stairs where you can buy food, drinks and snacks. The parking is 10€ per day.
Dana Funie — Google review
By far the most beautiful beach in Lefkada! It could get very crowded in the summer. There are no sunbeds, make sure you bring your own umbrella. There is a taverna nearby that delivers food to the beach. Parking is available, 10 euros per day with plenty of space, but they don't give you any receipt. If you come early, as you should at this beach, you may find some places to leave your car on the parking lot exit road. The blue calm water is one of the nicest in Greece.
Ionut Dumitrescu — Google review
Very beautiful beach. Parking is a struggle and people take advantage of visitors by charging €10 for it. Beach is long and although it gets busy you can still enjoy it. Magical waters
Dimitrios Sofianopoulos — Google review
Amazing beach and that incredible high rock wall! Amazing blue water and some waves. You should arrive early in the morning to stay in natural shade till noon. You can search hidden beaches on the left side of the beach and climb rocks and have fun snorkeling. Not to many steps and no sunbeds. In peak season gets very very busy so you should leave soon after noon, after there is no more shade and you can see the intense blue. Gets very hot from all the white rocks and sand.
Ina Maxim — Google review
Nice beach with white pebels, i must say one of the best.Parking is nicely orginazied and it cost 10 €. There are steep stairs to the beach but they should not pose sny problem. The best part is the water...unbelivable experience, the color is amazing. One advice...bring lots of water!
Dejan Lukic — Google review
In my opinion, Porto Katsiki is one of the most beautiful and magnificent beaches not only in Greece but in Europe as well. The sunsets there are beautiful and it is definitely one of must see places in Lefkada. Just be prepared for a lot of people there. This is the only (but quite expectable) disadvantage of this place. The parking there is not for free but the fee was not too high.
Michael Skurka — Google review
Long drive from Lefkada but definitely worth it. Took about an hour 15, driving through the mountains. Lovely drive though with great roads. Beach is busy so get there early and parking is 10 euro. But the walk from the parking to the beach is easy, but downhill down some steps but only takes a couple of minutes. Stunning location, only downside is that cruise ships come by ever now and then blasting music and advertising on a loudspeaker for you to go on their cruise which can get annoying but is easy to ignore
Jovan Tomasevic (JVN FILMS) — Google review
Very very beautiful beach and clean water. You can park for 8€ just 5 min away. There is also some bars between the parking lot and beach.
Matija Sever nepremičninar — Google review
Beautiful and best beach on Lefkada.Parking is available for 8e(all day),food and drinks also available but not at beach.Water is magical blue with waves. High recommendation for visiting, its worth it

A white pebble beach. The water has an unreal color. The landscape is gorgeous. Parking costs 10 euros, access is via a rather steep but accessible staircase. The beach does not have sunbeds, you must have shoes, the shade is only until 11 AM, after that the sun appears and you must have an umbrella with you There is a bar before the stairs where you can buy food and drinks.
il Câpitano _VAP — Google review
Simply breathtaking! Iconic and remarkable, one of the best beaches in Lefkada. The way down is relatively easy (compared to other beaches especially). I recommend you visit this beach early (like around 10) so as to find free and easy parking instead of paying the 10€ fee. Once down, you will have an unforgettable swim!
Daniel Shine Landaas — Google review
I don't think there are enough stars to rate it. Also, if you walk till the end of the beach, to the huge cliff on the left, at the other site of the cliff, before the caves, there's a small beach :) If you place your towel somewhere near that big cliff on the left - you won't need an umbrella until at least 1pm.
Petia Koleva — Google review
I've been to many beaches around the world. Porto Katsiki beach is one of the best. The way to get there is narrow and goes around, so it takes a lot of patience to see it. Porto Katsiki is a public beach. Even it's so beautiful there are not as crowded as at many beaches in Greece because of the long way to get there. You'll need bring your own beach umbrella, cause there is no where to stay out of the sun.
Bars Bars — Google review
It absolutely justifies the fact that it is one of the best beaches in Greece. The access is nice, there are about a hundred steps to the bottom. If you are lucky, you can also find free parking. In the morning there is natural shade, in the afternoon you need protection. Enjoy the blue.
Nikola Panzalovic — Google review
Wild beach, no sunbeds, no coffee shop or fast food on the beach. You can pay 10euros for parking or you can let your car on the way up and walk to the beach. The acces is really easy, a few stairs. The water is wanderful, there are little pebbles on the beach, so you might need water shoes. Also you must carry an umbrella, some water and anything that you think you might need. It is a beautiful place, I recommend it
Laurentiu Butoi — Google review
Heaven on Earth. I was spechless and couldnt describe my feelings. Road to it is very hard but worth it . This is a must see place , parking cost 10 euros for whole day , there are also 2 small shops where you csn get drinks and food . I will surely come back , regreting not buying a drone

A gorgeous beach with amazing rocks and cliffs! Must bring your own umbrella or look for a place in shade next to the cliffs but beware if falling rocks. Otherwise it truly is the number 1 beach in Lefkada!

Kathisma Beach

Outdoor Activities
Kathisma Beach, situated on the west coast of Lefkada, is a well-organized beach that draws crowds due to its white sandy stretch and turquoise waters. The area offers various amenities such as restaurants, cafes and bars, sun-beds and umbrellas. Additionally, visitors can indulge in thrilling activities like paragliding from the mountainside of Kathisma Beach. This family-friendly location is also popular among couples for its beautiful sunsets surrounded by stunning cliffs.
Absolutely stunning place! The turquoise water is simply beautiful! At has pebbles but they’re kind of on the smaller side so it’s still possible to walk without water shoes. When we visited the waves were big and it wasn’t possible to get in the water to swim. Kids enjoyed it on the shore and still had plenty of fun and absolutely loved it. Parking was free but sunbeds were 10 euros for 2 sunbeds and umbrella.
Audioholic -007 — Google review
Magic colours. One of the Best beaches in Greece without a dought. 4 star due to the huge waves though. You can't enjoy its waters. Pitty!
vasilis smyrnios — Google review
The beach with the most ammenities in Lefkada. Showers, toilets, bars, pools, clubs, restaurants, parking, easiest access. It can get very crowded and noisy (depending on the neighbours). Child friendly when the sea is calm, but when the waves start it becomes difficult even for the adults. We stayed at Soul, €20 pair of chairs and umbrella (very comfortable and new), parking in the shade included for customers. You can bring your own drinks, or order from them. If you want to bring your umbrellas you have more room and privacy in the left corner of the beach, where is also the best food on the beach, at Akrogiali restaurant. The water shoes are recommended, but it's also bearable if you forget them.
Victor Popescu — Google review
Stunning beach! A lot of parking place (5 euro per day). But make sure you come in the early morning like 7 AM. The water will be warm and the beach will be empty. Around 10-11 AM the beach get busier and busier and becomes VERY CROWDED. August 2021
Dmytro Beshkovetskyy — Google review
This was in my opinion the best beach we have been in Lefkada in our trip. It has quite easy access and big free parking. The beach is big, wide and even if a lot of people, they spread in the area. The water is crystal clear. It had big wave when we have been and is getting quite deep fast. On top you have plenty of Restaurants.
Lukasz De — Google review
this is the beach that is the hardest to get to, it is rich in contents on the beach from paragliding to bars and restaurants. the possibility of renting sunbeds. the price of two sunbeds with an umbrella, water and a towel are included somewhere. somewhere not, they ranged from 10-25E. it depends on the location and the choice itself. it is easy to enter the sea. there are countless parking lots, some covered and in the shade, some not. prices were from 5-10E for the whole day. if you have children, then this is the beach for you. because it's really easy to get to. the others are just as beautiful in their own way, but not as accessible as this one. because of this accessibility, this beach is the most crowded.
Tihomir ?ar?evi? — Google review
Amazing beach with spectacular turquoise coloured water. Small pebbles mostly. Expect intense waves, which can be lots of fun if you like it. Sunbeds and restaurants with service at the beach, some also with a pool. Sunbeds 15-25 Euros [2 beds and a beach umbrella]. Paragliding opportunity.
Csaba Szandi — Google review
Top top beach. We spend most of our vacation on Kathisma beach. You have it all, restaurants, showers, toilets, sunbeds, a lot of room for your towels. Beach is clean and water is superb.
Aleksandar Cvetkovic — Google review
The vigorous biting of the waves slowly grinds the rocks into coarse sand, maybe in another million years the process will grind it into fine sand. The sunset here is incredible, the lights and shades are almost surreal from a movie on a distant planet. Huges waves rock the swimmers in the late afternoon as the sun prepares to sleep. The water deepens fast but it's so much fun to float on those whales. Elegant restaurants await for the luxury seekers as well as the family man who wants a chow. Winding road leads to the parking right on the beach. Those unlucky to find it for free on the side of the road can pay 10 euros for shaded parking. On occasion ducking is recommended as paragliders land elegantly and with ease on free zones.
Andras Delczeg — Google review
Very nice sandy-stone beach! It is easily accessible by car but parking might be a bit difficult, although not too hard. It is very easily accessible for anyone as the road is right next to the beach. The beach itself is very pretty, but usually very crowded. On my visit I did not experience any waves, so it was very peaceful, however if you find yourself here when it's windy I advise to stay out of the water. There are plenty of bars where one can go to get drinks or food (or use a bathroom). A very nice place to swim is near some rocks on the right side of the beach, where it is also usually quieter.
Daniel Shine Landaas — Google review
The beach is spectacular. The water has many incredibly beautiful colors but the waves are too big to swim in. Sunbeds are 15 euros and 25 euros per 2 pieces with an umbrella.
Benny Mogosan — Google review
Amazing beach, with all the commodities. Parking 8 Eur. Sunbeds vary from 10 EUR for 2 sunbeds and umbrellas to 25 (this option includes comfortable beautiful sunbeds, water and towels).
Polina Vaysberg — Google review
A very nice beach, especially if you come with little kids or you just want to have all the facilities (parking, different sitting options, multiple restaurants, toilets etc). There are other beaches in Lefkada which are way nicer but for confort I recommend Katshima.
Robert D. — Google review
The largest and most well-equipped in Lefkada, the waves are a bit big but worth it. Parking is free, sunbeds cost between 10-15 euros There is a restaurant where you can have a meal. You have somewhere to shower and change
il Câpitano _VAP — Google review
One of the great advantages of this beach is that in the price of parking you have included the lounger with umbrella. The sea is extremely beautiful, but, at times a bit unresting. Surely worth the trip!!

Ammoussa Beach

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Ammouso Beach, situated on the southeast of Lefkada Island, is a hidden gem among lesser-known beaches. The beach boasts crystal-clear turquoise waters and pebbled shores that offer visitors umbrella and lounger rentals from nearby tavernas. Accessible by car via a long stretch of narrow road off the main route to Vassiliki, this small yet lovely beach features stunning green landscapes that surround it.
Hard to get to beach by road. Tight, dirt road with a lot of stones and bumps. Not recommending to go with your personal car. You can rent a bike or atv or go by boat. You can park before the beach for 7 Euros. Two sunbeds and umbrella for 10 Euros. The person collecting the fees came after every sunbed was taken so if you leave earlier you can get a free one. The free area is very small. The beach has crystal clear water, a lot of fishes in the early hours, rocks to do high jumps and was one of the most enjoyable beaches I visited. I recommend getting there early in the morning as it gets quite busy once boats start dropping by tourists every hour. In the early hours you can enjoy a swim with the fishes.

Lovely little beach with clear water. In the summer there are sun beds and its right next to a restaurant that serves one of the tastiest food in the area. I recommend it highly!

The small peeble beach, you have to arrive early to find sunbeds (or a place to stay), I arrived at 10 am and there were 2-3 free. Very hot even in the morning. I recommend the western beaches. If you are not staying nearby, it is better to go to the western beaches.
Madalin Dragancea — Google review
Excellent beach, crystal clear water, free parking, 7 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Great for swimming and snorkeling also a couple of kayaks and sea bikes for rent. Definitely recommend renting a small sea bike and exploring the nearby islands, you can even find some secluded beaches only accessible by small boats or kayak if you rent one. Kayak and small sea bike cost 10 euro and the big sea bike which holds 4 people costs 15. Important make sure you come before 11 o'clock as the beach can get crowded after 11. Also bring sea shoes as there is no sand at this beach

Still water, no waves, but a lot of seaweed on the beach witch werent so nice to see. Some big rocks in the water, so you needed to be more carefull not to hurt yourself. Very nice tavern with good food, icecream and great smoothies. 9 euros for 2 sunbeds. Swim shoes needed.

7euro for umbrella and chairs. Free parking, with covered spaces if you're early. Road is pretty ok compared to other beaches on the island. Clear water with small rocks (water shoes are a nice to have) , great views, access to modern and clean restroom. Restaurant has good food, pricier than a simple taverna, because it is not simple food, it tries to give an above average culinary experience.

Amente Restaurant & Cocktail bar is a stunning place with breathtaking views of the island and the surrounding mountains. The food is delicious and the cocktails are brilliant, and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is modern, live music at sunset and perfect for a relaxing evening out.
The restaurant is located at the top of a hill, with stunning views of the island - both the sunset and the neighbouring mountains. The menu is delicious and the cocktails are brilliant. The service is also amazing and the best of all are the owners. I am lost for words by their hospitality and personal touch. As for the atmosphere - live, contemporary music at the backdrop of the sunsets.

Best view restaurant in Lefkada. Food is served in a beautiful way, but in average taste. Meanwhile, there was a wide variety of cocktails to choose for enjoying the spectacular sky view. Staff were very friendly. The hostess made sure we were welcomed, even though we weren’t dressed properly for the place ( just returned from Porto Katsiki beach). Waiters did their best in a high work flow. We were lucky to enjoy the special guest of the night, who played the saxophone and giving lively romantic atmosphere. Even though the higher than average prices, i would definitely return for everything else.

The food was exceptional and the recipes were refined and well performed. However I was expecting more "greekness" instead of Italian revisited dishes like tagliolini, risotto and burrata (which I can eat at home). The sunset view is stunning and the whole structure is marvellous, but still I'm not sure that this can justify such high prices. The cocktails were very good.

The ambiance and atmosphere here is fantastic. Unfortunately, staff are very aggressive in preventing people from taking pictures. Maybe a couple less tables so people can get a decent photo of the view - which is why most people come to a location like this. Food was okay, but you are paying for the view. Piano/ singer was great!

Amazing experience and one not to miss if on the island. Once in a life time experience. Reserve a table is a must. We got a table by the pool and the had live music on to. Perfect time to book is sunset as you can dine while watching the sun go down. Lots of photo opportunities. Food was expensive but amazing and even tasted better with the view and music. The better seats do require a set amount you have to spend. Our was €60 per person. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even a valet parking outside if you want to drop your car off. Also has a bar if you can't get a table. 100% go and book

Food, view, wine and staff worth the money! Best place to visit in Leukada by far, don’t leave the island without visiting that place. A quite difficult mountainous route with a lot of sort turns, but safe and careful on driving. There signs and lights everywhere.

Amente offers one of the best views in Lefkada. With a prepared and kind staff you really felt welcomed. The food was delicious, with a note for improvement for the pasta with shrimps which was not on the same level as the other dishes we took. However we tried eight different dishes and that was the only one which was not executed very well because of the sticky pasta. The other dishes were exceptional and well portioned. Amente has a variety of cocktails from which i can point out a delicious one , just enough amount of sour and sweet, Sunset Passion. The view and the live music made our experience memorable and was the cherry on top. A small note, although it’s understandable at some level, we were limited by the staff to take pictures standing during the sunset to not disturb other tables views. Having payed a premium position of the table, would be nice to have a little more flexible approach on this.

A great place with amazing views! We had a dinner there and the views were just amazing. But also the food was great, good quality, very tasty and also the portions were very decent. Staff was also nice and helpful. There was also live music, with a saxophonist and it was just great, it made the overall experience even better. Definitely recommended, it is true that for some tables there is a price limit per person, however there are also tables without set price limit and you still have a great view.
Andrea Miskovic — Google review
The food was perfect. The music and the view made the athmosphere really romantic. There is 60euro minimal consumation per person plus paid parking.

Amazing atmosphere with stunning views overlooking the ocean and west Lefkada. I had dinner on a Wednesday in July, the restaurant was busy but service was friendly and efficient. We sat on a minimum €60 person area by the poll. Overall food could’ve been better - specially the mains, which were average. Good wine list and drinks selection. A bit overpriced, as you’re paying for an experience not only a dinner.
Victor Fotopoulos — Google review
Beautiful sunset. We sat at the bar while waiting for our reservation. Excellent food options. Would visit again. Only with reservation. The parking valet is 10 euros. Option for free roadside parking if you are lucky to find an empty spot. The road to the restaurant has many turns.
Stavrie OnTour — Google review
Incredible view lovely restaurant great drinks great vibes. Staff were amazing as well. Get there early because parking is on the side of a mountain unless you go valet, so it can fill up. Also try to get a booking if possible. We (2 of us) arrived without a booking and we're out on a list with a lot of other people. Wait was only like 20-30 minutes though so not too bad. Great spot for sunset views, bring a jumper after sunset though because it gets cold. They do have blankets in case you do forget. We sat at the bar not the restaurant, which was a super cute nook in a rock with a full 180° view of the horizon. There is a sushi menu for bar patrons which is very nice.

The best sunset bar in Lefkada ! We get the premium package and it was the best. Free parking area. Amazing fresh food, the best cocktails and desserts. Beautiful view and kind staff.

Really good food & drinks. The view is amazing, and they have romantic live music played by the pool. The atmosphere was great. Parking was limited, and we had to park on the side of the (narrow) street. Will definitely come back.

Yes, there's a minimum spending threshold per person for the tables at the nicest locations (near the pool, at the pool, within the pool and the nearby balcony), but you can get seated a little further from the pool where there's no minimum spending threshold. The food was truly awesome! We had high expectations and Amente delivered, and actually managed to surpass our greatest expectations! Everything we tasted was... very tasty, well thought and well cooked. The quantity per plate was very good for a gourmet (fine dining) restaurant. Those were probably the biggest portions I ever had in that style and kind of restaurants here in Greece. The setting and the view is amazing, especially during sunset. The personnel was professional and very kind. All in all a fantastic experience I would revisit without a doubt!

Basilico Restaurant in Nidri, Lefkada is a popular dining spot located in the heart of the bustling tourist resort. The area underwent rapid tourism development during the 1980s and is now filled with shops, hotels, and restaurants. Basilico offers a variety of Greek fish and meat dishes in a charming tavern setting. Visitors can enjoy delicious meals while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Nidri.
Absolutely perfect!!! As an appetizer we had bread with homemade olive tapenade - very gooood. As a second appetizer we had feta cheese with crust, honey and sesame seeds - outstanding! Then we’ve ordered sea food plate for two - there was 6 kind of seafood, dill mayo, grilled potatoes and fries, cheery tomatoes. Main course has blown us out - absolutely amazing :) White wine also very delicious and desert on the house - homemade orange-honey cake was superb :) Service was very kind and warm - we felt like at home :) Definitely 5 stars and we will recommend Basilico tavern to everybody!:)

Great restaurant with hospitality staffs! Ordered the stuffed calamari as I’ve never tried that before, and it’s really good. The grilled sea bream was lovely, I can eat one by myself easily. At the end the in house little dessert was also very good. Def recommended!

This was a great experience really! The staff was so friendly and professional. The food was delicious, there were five of us and each of us had different meals and all of them were really tasty. Also the prices were totally fine and if we ever have a chance to come back to Nydri we will definitely visit this place. This is one of the places where you really enjoy the whole experience. This dinner made our evening. I had a Greek traditional Moussaka and can’t complain. Thank you!

We ordered the grilled shrimps and salmon linguini and they were exceptional. After a few unpleasant experiences with food in Lefkada, from highly rated places, we have finally found our place to eat for the rest of our trip. I definitely recommend this place! An unique touch, the bill was explained to us by the waiter, since everything is written in greek. This was very helpful and haven’t seen it before on the island.

Delicious food and good serving! We took a seafood plate for 2 and it tasted delicious, you could feel that seafood was fresh (not frozen). Everything we ordered was delicious and at the end we received a orange cake on the house.

Friendly staff, amazing food, big portions. I ate at different taverns every night since I came to Lefkada, but this was the first tavern where I really felt I was in Greece. Friendly staff, they made small talk and jokes with us. We also received a free dessert. I highly recommend this place.

I confirm the best fried squid on the island of Lefkada 🇬🇷🍤 I tasted the famous fried squid with a unique taste, very delicate and divinely prepared. You can feel the sea when you eat it. I have been to many restaurants during my stay on the island, but I find this restaurant better than all. I congratulate you on the structure and for the kindness of the owner. I am largely satisfied. Vote 10/10

Waiters were very attentive and welcoming. Always asked how each course was. Music and atmosphere was very enjoyable. Both of our steaks were amazing and perfectly cooked. Again, waiters were amazing when it came to boxing up leftovers as our eyes were larger than our stomachs. Couldn’t be helped as when ordering the aromas coming out of the kitchen were mouth watering. Would highly recommend to anyone in Nidri looking for good food.

A good place to eat in Nidri if you want to experience local food. The experience overall was good but i have some negative aspects to point out: - the thing is that they seem to prioritize regular locals instead of respecting the queue - so, we went there by 8.30 pm, two adults and a toddler and the place was already crowded. Another couple was in front of us so we decided to wait for our turn. A table cleared and the couple in front got in. Suddenly another couple arrived, a regular client, and the waiter put us on hold to find a table for them. This was not ok from a restaurant perspective considering the queue and that there were no reservations made. Furthermore, at the table, waiting for the food is a bit of a lottery, depending on the order you will wait and sometimes they will bring you another order instead of what you wanted, compensating with something free on the house.

Amazing food and staff! Been here 3 times in 3 days and each time everything was perfect. The owner even brought us cakes to celebrate the double birthday in our group. They really pay very much attention to details.

Overall, it is a really good restaurant with attentive service. Though the food was not as expected by the reviews. Some dishes like shrimp tempura, crete salads, zucchini balls, and fried anchovies were good. But musaka was o.k we had better in other places. The biggest disappointment was the variety of seafood plates for 2. It was a lot of fried calmaries and fried anchovies and a little bit of mussles with a few tempura shrimps and 2 octopus slices.

On Thursday we were here with my boyfriend. It was our first night in Nydri and we spotted this lovely restaurant near the sea, decided to try it and it didn’t disappoint us. The food was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff was very kind and pleasant as well. All of the waiters were really great , especially Hercules, who offered us a compliment from the restaurant at the end of the evening, so thank you for that. If you decide to go to this restaurant, the squids are a must! Overall great experience and we will try it again for sure!! 🥂✨

Went there with my partner and had a great experience. We had the baked feta and aubergine salad to start and they were both lovely. We followed them up with the seafood platter for two, which was amazing and very generously portioned. We will be returning given a chance. Highly recommend.

Lefkatas Tavern, situated in a picturesque village on the island, near stunning beaches like Porto Katsiki, Egremni, and Gialos, provides an exquisite dining experience. With a mesmerizing view of the Ionian Sea, patrons can savor their morning coffee while indulging in homemade preserves, pastries, ouzo appetizers, and local delicacies that tantalize both palate and senses.
Came back after a year and found the restaurant to be much better from all aspects. All the food was delicious, cooked to perfection, freshly prepared, full of taste - simply amazing; the staff was friendly and from the top terrace (you must make a reservation and ask for it) we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

The food was nothing less than excellent and delicious! We had to visit a second night just to enjoy their Orange Pie again! The menu is rather short, but based on both visits, everything is worth it! You can enjoy the sunset both on their ground level and on the second floor, but be advised that there is a lot more shade on the ground level, making the summer evenings more bearable.
Kristiyan Todorov — Google review
We stopped here on the way back from Egremni, and it was one of the best lunches we have had on the island. We started with fried calamari, courgette balls, and marinated anchovies. I can’t tell you which was better - they all had their own star quality. But it was definitely a good mix if you are unsure on what to get. We had also added bread (I’m with an Italian, so this is a staple for a meal) and it was the best bread we have had. I think the bread here on the Ionian islands always tends to be very hard but this one was airy and springy - similar to a classic farmhouse loaf in the UK. We chose the local rose wine, it is quite sweet so I enjoyed it very much. But I wouldn’t be able have more than the 1/2 litre they give you. For a main course, we shared the fish of the day which was sea bream. It was perfect. I have no other words. Feeling very full, we asked about a digestive. They recommended a local wine mixed with honey. Incredible! Very sweet so we loved it. If you are on your way to/back from Egremni, I highly highly recommend this restaurant - the service is top! Very friendly, funny and welcoming. Beautiful views and nice atmospheric music.

An exceptional location with a great view to eat. Unfortunately this didn't go very well for us. Starting with the salad we saw a piece of plastic in it. The second problem was with the shrimp pasta. As you can see in the photo the shrimp was not property cleaned. This is unacceptable for a plate that costs 15 euros. But everyone can have a bad day right?. The most disappointing thing was tho that noone apologized to us, not even the brunette waitress. The second waitress that came afterwards was more polite but still no apologize from anyone. I give 2 stars and not 1 only because the tastes were nice.

The best place we have eaten at Lefkada island. Don’t miss it you cross this road! Nice service, beautiful surroundings with a panorama, and very delicious food. We tried the pomegranate salad, the gyros plate, the soufflé and the orange pie, all of them were very tasty. The homemade lemonade and the ice cappuccino is also worth the try.

We loved that place! The staff was very friendly. Their black pasta was delicious, also the zuchini balls and shrimp pasta. Homemade and fresh. Their house rose wine is amazing. We also bought a bottle of it. The orange pie was perfect for the end. They also gave us a shot of homemade liquer. While we were eating we watched one of the best sunsets in Lefkada. I really recommend to visit.

A wonderful family tavern in Athani. We went to have lunch and didn’t regret it at all. We took from the specials of the day menu: sea bream, pork gyros and moussaka. All of them were very good, very well cooked fish and even home made potatoes for gyros. Highly recommended!

From all the restaurants, we choose to come to Nissi and this was the best decision:) We were there at 17:00 and ordered raviolli with lobster, sardines and a traditional dish of feta in dough with thyme- it was amazing!!! The combination of tastes and their harmony brought us a taste pleasure. The atmosphere of the team is very friendly, which means that the owner of the restaurant is a person who cares about those with whom she works. We parked along the main street near boats and walked 2 minutes to the square where the restaurant is located. Would like to come again.

I got the grilled octopus for 25€. The potatoes were cold and not tasty at all, something like an oriental salad. The octopus was amazing, one of the best I've eaten. The Greek salad was also very good, good seasoning. The atmosphere isn't at all chill, it is very loud since it is in the center. I don't know how this got Trip's Advisor best restaurant.

Vliho Yacht Club has a solid 5 star rating and in our opinion it would be worthy of 10 plus! As a boat owner our yacht - Poseidon has been maintained and chartered by Vliho over the past 7 years so we know the outfit pretty well. Poseidon has been impeccably maintained by Ruairi and his team over this period always keeping her in tip top condition. The administration and management of the boat has been brilliant and highly professional with our cruising time on the boat always being well organised with nothing being too much trouble for Vicky and her admin team. Add to that a great restaurant and bar run by competent and friendly staff is it any wonder that place is such a great success! Congratulations to the the Vliho Team for running such a First Class operation!
