The beach of Sitges is a popular tourist destination with many restaurants and cafes located along its beautiful seafront. Sitges is easily accessible by train from Barcelona, making it a great spot for travellers in the area. The sand at the beach is white and clean and there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols for visitors to use.
Fantastic promenade by the sea always full of tourists. Many restaurants and cafes. The beach itself is beautiful. Easy accessible by train from Barcelona. True Mediteranean spirit.

Drove here from the UK last year. While I didn’t stay in Sitges, I did visit the beach. It’s exactly what I expected; busy and overcrowded.
The best thing about the beach was, it was stunning to look at, and the weather was extremely warm.
I definitely will come back and visit again, but only for a couple of hours. There are plenty of other beaches nearby which are less crowded and more relaxing.

Lovely promenade and nice sandy beach. Nice cafes on the seafront as well, worth a visit if your in the area and a good stop off point if heading into Barcelona.

We came to Sitges by train leaving Barcelona from Sants.
The journey was quick and easy; about 40 mins and then there was a short walk from the station to the beach passing lots of interesting shops, bars and restaurants.
It was a Sunday and a sunny day in early April.
It was not only our idea to go to Sitges but also most of Barcelona's as Sitges was packed with people out for a Sunday jolly.
Every bar and restaurant was packed out even though there were loads of them.
Sitges is a pretty town with two beaches with one nicer than the other, spoiled by the constant loud shouts from hawkers selling Mojitos, Beer, Coke and so on.
Every time you shut your eyes to snooze on the beach, one of the many walks right past your head yelling at the top of their lungs the same thing over and over again. No peace on the beach.
The shops are interesting so if you like wandering around, there are plenty of places to go to and look at.
Plenty of choices when it comes to food
Tapas, burgers, sea food...something for everyone.
Train back was absolutely packed, with people sitting on stairs and any spare foot of real estate available.
I liked Sitges but chose a bad day to visit. If it had been quieter, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Sitges Beach is mix of stony and sand Beach. Beach is fairly satisfactory and also give good Sunset View.
It has also restaurants and stalls along Beach. There is problem of parking.
It is good to spend few hours.

Sitges is must visit town if you are near Barcelona !
Due to its beautiful views and clean beach areas , lot of tourists , and non tourists are filled almost every month of the year except peak winter !!
They have great roadside cuisines to eat which is just in a view sight of beach 🏝️
It’s a beautiful long walk Area to spend with family , friends , kids or yourself !’

Compared to Barceloneta Beach, there are not many people and it is quiet. There is no solicitation, so you can relax comfortably. The sand is fine and feels good against your feet. The communal shower is currently broken and unavailable. On the way from the station to the beach, there are many grocery and travel stores where you can get the drinks and beach gear you need.

Gorgeous beach, vibrant town, azure waters, Mediterranean charm, sun-soaked days, water sports, lively atmosphere, picturesque beauty.
Ovidiu Popescu — Google review
This is a 99% gay beach with sunbeds costing $25 for 2x sunbeds & 1x parasol that are always jammed tightly together and mainly full by Midday. It has a small restaurant and bar at the back which is good quality but pricey (this is Sitges so no surprise!) and beach vendors selling "aqua, cerveca, Coca-Cola", a call that is repeated every few seconds until you actually want one when they typically disappear! It's a beach for people looking for a good vibe; don't go if noise upsets you as there are, occasionally, a few older men who glower and tut at people but they should go to the quieter beach next door!
There is a clothing-optional beach called Playa de los Balmins in a sheltered bay just a short walk from the towering church. It's one of the most popular beaches in the town, with naturists baring it all in addition to people of all ages. The beach has showers and a beach bar serving cocktails, making it very peaceful and private.
Best clothing optional beach that we been too, in fact we went to it twice after changing our plans on purpose. LGBT friendly, some shaded spaces, crystal clear water and food literally right above your beach. Would totally recommend this over any beach . Absolutely gorgeous, Mediterranean beach

I remember the very first time that I visited Balmins Beach many years ago. I was surprised to find a mostly nudist beach in the middle of town. But such is Sitges, a place that is more tolerant than most. Usually nudist beaches are situated in far away places, but not this one. It's a very short distance from the center of town on foot. You don't need to be in the buff to visit the beach, but expect many to be. The crowd is mixed but tends to divide the beach between "gay" and "straight" sections, with a lot of intermingling.
Georges Younes — Google review
Nudist beach. Not too crowded.
Denis Starynin — Google review
about 90% of people swimming here are nude, about 10% are mixture of kids, people preferring to wear their lovely undies or shorts.
no judgement..
just chill and relax with your own comfort..
theres a salesman walking around selling sodas and beers in case you forgot to bring your own booze..

Very very busy and not the largest beach. Great if you want to hang out in a crowd. Not so much if you want a relaxing day on the beach or personal space. Clothing optional so be aware before you visit and prepare your attire and eyes accordingly. No pressure on those of us who choose to keep the beachwear in place of course. Quite a few jellyfish so watch out in the water.

Beautiful beach/nature. Clean but flies are everywhere, wonder why. If you see stones are placed, on the sand than avoid it. It means human waste treasure buried there.the stones are tombstones/gravestones to mark the burial. Besides that
The rest was, beautiful.

Excellent place to hang out. Nudist beach - good for an all over tan. This beach is popular with all, particularly gay men and women - one of the few beaches I have felt so comfortable on!
Returned a few years later to see many updates. Much more comfortable for seating in the beach bar. The menu has been extended and improved - we had a few lunch times here. The beach, as before, can be crowded but has a great vibe and again good for an all over tan!! The beach is sandy and it makes it easier when going swimming in the sea - with or without bathers. When the water isn’t rough, look down into it - fish swim around your legs and body!

Used to be nice. Last time we went in September 23, people were having public segs in the water and some people were obviously walking around and enjoying the view too. Not only a nude beach anymore, unfortunately some people can't handle it.

Very beautiful protected area worth to visit and to spend time. One of the sides is a nudist spot. But very easy going...no one is forced to be naked. Families and groups are welcome. There is a small bar with drinks and snacks.
At Queenz Cabaret Restaurant, you'll experience a gourmet meal in the company of a ferocious drag queen! This is not your average dinner theater, so be prepared for an interesting and different dining experience.
What an incredible show. The welcome drink kicked off a wonderful evening, followed by delicious bites and main. Service was on top of every wish that we had and the show was one of the best I’ve seen. So many costume changes and numbers packed within the show’s duration. These performers WERQ!!!!!

The performers did a an excellent job.
Lots of great dancing in a small area. Most of the singing was lip singing except for the opening number.
We ordered our steaks medium, but they came out rare. Other than that the meal was fantastic!
If you’re in Sitges, I highly recommend you check out the diner and show, you won’t be sorry.

The show was not really my thing, but I’m glad I went to see. The atmosphere was really good and everyone else had a really great time.
Having never been to a show like this before, I did not realise it would all be lip synced. Except the first singer who came out to begin with, she sang live and was really good!

Staff is friendly and very kind and helpfull! If you have some diet issues tell them with your reservation and they take care of it!!
Due to some no-shows (guest who make a reservation and don't show up) I would suggest that guests pay at least 49,50 euros (which it costs (sept. 2022) in advance! And if you don't show up it's your problem in stead of The Queens Restaurant!
What are you waiting for to reserve?? 🤔🤔😂😂😂

The wait staff was tremendous and the first 2 courses were very good. The Thai chicken was a little bland. And to be honest it was a HUGE meal. No one in our party even came close to finishing our main course.

Very fast paced and entertaining.
The Palau de Maricel is a museum that showcases art from the 10th century to the first half of the 20th century. The museum has a variety of works from different periods, including sculptures and altarpieces from the Romanesque and Gothic periods, Neoclassic works, as well as Romantic paintings. This museum is located in a Moorish-style seaside palace and is worth checking out if you're interested in regional art.
Small local palace on the sea front built by an American called Deering in the 1910/20s. Not really a lot to see apart from the buildings as he tool most of the artifacts to the States before the outbreak of the civil war.

What a lovely place. We had tried to visit here on previous stays in Sitges but were unlucky. This time we booked in our first week to be sure. The staff in the museum and our guide on the day, were helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. Even though the tour was in Spanish, she took time in quieter moments to answer questions and speak to us in English. The building itself was spectacular particularly the upper terrace and cloisters. The views out to sea were breathtaking. The ceramics work (tiling) was beautiful and showed the skill of craftsmen in the past. Long May it continue to be used for local events here in Sitges. Thank you for a lovely visit.

It may not be an authentic medieval building since it was built at the beginning of the 20th century, but this whitewashed structure wows visitors and residents with charm, location and views. Scores of visitors stop to admire the building of this museum and to gaze at the Mediterranean Sea from the seaside esplanade that is in front. A few venture inside to see the art collection, but most just want to soak in the surroundings.

A stunning building and nice staff with an interesting collection. It's an entirely personal response but I don't find religious iconography very interesting so much of the collection left me a little cold, though many of the paintings - particularly the portraits - really are very beautiful. I also loved some of the stranger artefacts, such as this glass-eyed gentleman (?) and the creepy collection of dolls. Worth a visit but for me it was a relatively quick pass around the building.

Playa del Muerto is a picturesque and historic beach, known as the first gay nudist beach in the world. Accessible by a scenic hour-long walk or a shorter bus or taxi ride, it offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Visitors should be cautious of rocky paths and changing tides when navigating to this serene destination. The beach attracts a diverse crowd, offering opportunities to make new friends while enjoying the stunning views along the way.
Amazing place. I have visited alone and I managed to make new friends. There is a mix of men and women dressed and nude but even so it was sa joy. Also the guys who own the bar are really nice.
If you like long walks and hiking my recommendation is to walk through the park and then along the railway line and you won't regret it. The view it is amazing 🤩
Marian Sebastian Rotaru — Google review
It is worth visiting it once just to experience the picturesque bay landscape and the history since this beach existed since 1930 as the sign says.
Many people walk there along the beach about 1 hour. But I didn't like this route so much as it can be muddy, sometimes it's just a few rocks in front of the sea.
Alternatively one can take a bus or a taxi (which can save about 40 minutes of walk) to a place above the golf club. From there follow through the bushes. Just use Google Maps. It will be needed to go through the rails.
At the beach there is a bar. But it's better to take some food and drinks with you.
If you have "aqua boots", take them with you, as there are small stones between the sea and the beach.
The sea goes deep very fast. So don't swim far from the coast. There is no bay watch there.
The beach is a nude one, but wearing a swimwear is okay.

It was my first time to visit the famous nude beach, located about a 45-minute walk south of Sitges, Spain. It was fairly crowded since it's not a huge beach. But I could find a spot among the hundreds of unclothed male bodies to have a resting place for most of the afternoon.
David Kelly — Google review
Very chill spot, far from the crowd. The beachs are nice and the views wonderful. To get here you have to walk downhill through nature, so it’s kind of hidden. Used to be a gay beach but it’s open to everybody of course. The only bad thing is there is no sand, just tiny rocks, making it hard to lie down or even walk without pain.
Jules C. — Google review
Omg!! I am in love with that beach!! So quiet, relaxing and clean! A bit of walk though but very much worth it!!! You gotta walk up the mountain and be careful with all the rocks you will be stepping on as they might be tricky and hurt you! Follow the rocky path as shown in the photos and you will end up there! Put in mind that tide changes some times, so when you are coming back after getting down from the mountain some of the land will be covered in water. Depends on the tide. It has not happened to me but to some of my friends. So keep that in mind.
Michael M — Google review
Nice quiet beach with small beach cafe but it’s about 30 minutes bike ride which includes unmade path through woods. You need to cross over railway tracks to get to beach - I had swim but I prefer the beach in Sitges main town as it’s easy to walk to - this beach is a bit far out to go there very often
Glenn Tilley — Google review
It takes a lot of patience, courage and resolve to come all the way to this secluded spot on the rocky coast south of Sitges. If you like a short adventure on your way to a beach, this place is for you. If you don't like to hike on rocks for an hour, it isn't. For those who take the plunge, you will be rewarded with a smaller crowd than the beaches in the center of town and a vastly more picturesque setting. The crowd is varied, gay and straight, nudist and clothed. It's not exclusively one thing or another, even if the signs say so.

Gay + nudist beach, about 2k from Sitges walking distance. Has a chiringuito but unsure of opening/closing times. Better go early when is less crowded
Daniela Pelaez — Google review
This is the real gay nudist beach of Sitges. It was very quite with no bar/buffet in June during pride season. It is really pleasant with great calm and relaxing attitude. No noisy music, just the waves. Crowded, but quiet and pleasant during weekend, half about the weekdaysQuite complex to visit from Sitges. Use a public bus from Sitges town (SL2), ask the driver to stop az Miralpeix (Hotel Dolce) and than walk up the Hill by the road then till the end (or use a taxi or a bike (a locker you need! ) ) , than there is a dusty road starting (okay with a mountain bike ) , down to the gay nudist beach, follow the path (or the boy). The tables, signes are not there anymore (probably removed by some homophobes). Turn downwards just exactly before you get to this sign on the LAST photo artached (concreet line crossed through the dusty road). There are various dusty roads to get there, but this we found the most convenient. Cruising area above the beach in the forest area or behind the rocks on the right side of the beach (climb the rock or swim-it is not far). There is hardly any phone signal /mobile internet connection at the beach, unfortunatelly. Getting back is on you. We usually walked during sunset. A full walk to Sitges center is about 1 hour length. Would be nice and really appreciated of City Sitges local gay cimmunity, naturist assiciation, to make easier and more convenient access, services to this beach.

Most probably, at the present time is the best place in Sitges to have a coffee or glass of wine while talking face to face with someone. Of course, art is the main thing there. Don't miss it!
Probablemente sea el mejor lugar de Sitges para tomar un café o una copa de vino y tener una charla agradable con alguien. Es un centro de exposición de arte. ¡No te lo pierdas!

L'art i café is a hybrid gallery/café. There are a lot of interesting pieces to view, and esthetically it's arguably one of the nicest places of its kind in Sitges. Come to have a coffee and hang out for the Wi-Fi and ambiance, but be aware that a coffee costs twice that of every other café in Sitges.

Some really good art on display. Nicely done place. Relaxing area at back for drinks which were very reasonable. Nice polite friendly service. Definitely worth visiting.
The amusement center Platja De La Barra is situated on the coast of Sitges, close to the town centre. It offers a wide range of activities for both adults and children, including swimming, sunbathing, playing beach volleyball and many more. There are also several bars and restaurants available on site. The beach is well-sorted with good services such as showers and parasols for hire.
Very quiet beach in Sitges

Good beach with some amenities. Lifeguard on duty but to be honest they seem to be more to police inflatables etc in the swimming area. they would have a long swim to get someone in difficulty at the edges of the swimming area. They don't have a board or kayak etc.

We had an amazing Saturday at the place. The stuff was friendly and polite specially our instructor Laura she was amazing. The activities very very fun. Later on we had lunch okay food and all you can drink during it for the group pack. Finally the showers and dressing rooms were clean. it's a place to share and have fun with others not a 5 stars restaurant/hotel nor a spa/resort, so assume you will have 3 or 4 scratches after the day, theres other separated groups also playing and some things can be improved. Definitely a great place to share with friends and family.

Came here on a stag holiday and wasn’t impressed. Seems like they hate English tourists or something seeing as the staff were blunt and rude and would blatantly ignore you at the bar. The activities were ok at best, but as was said in other reviews it’s all unsanitary and unkept. Wouldn’t recommend (unless you’re Spanish and careless enough to overlook a murky pool).

The state of the place is horrible. The water is disgusting, kids would probably get sick from it. Pretty sure if there was some sort of safety/quality check conducted, this place would have to get shut down.

Hermitage away from the center where the Virgen del Vinyet is venerated. Unfortunately, due to the lack of lighting in the church (you can hardly see the exhibited works) and the rubbish (said with all due respect) of the sanctuary that they have made to the Virgin (a mosaic on a wall) it does not justify the displacement .

The Platja de la Fragata is a small, family-friendly beach that is perfect for taking a sunbath or playing in the waves. There are plenty of spaces to set up camp, as well as courts for volleyball and pedalos for hire. This resort hotel offers great views of the city and is located right next to Sant Bartomeu Santa Tecla, one of Sitges most well-known tourist spots.
Great beach in central Sitges. Gently sloping sandy beach ideal for families. Many seafront eating places immediately behind the beach and train line from central Barcelona 10 mins walk to the beach from the station.

City beach, right there in the center of Sitges. You can just walk to it. The send is perfect, the very fine powder, but no dust at all. The Costa Dorada is famous for it. The sea is warm, a bit shallow for my liking, but great for beginners and families with kids.
The infrastructure is complete, with showers, places to rent a parasol or bed, toilettes...
All in all, good beach!

La Fragata is one of the central beaches of Sitges. It's a short walk from the commercial center of the town and not far from the train station. The beach is at one end of the town's seaside promenade. Many restaurants and watering holes are just across the street. In summer, it gets a large crowd, especially on weekends. If you don't like to be in the middle of things, just walk to the other end of the seaside promenade. This pleasant - but long - walk will lead you to less crowded beaches.

More locals than tourists. Reasonably priced activities (€15 for a pedal boat for an hour).
The town of Sitges is also a little gem! No one bothered my partner or I selling water/cervez which was also a pleasant break
Restaurants are a tad on the expensive side which is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

The Platja de la Ribera beach is a beautiful sandy beach located in the city of Sitges. It offers lifeguard services, umbrellas and sunbeds for rental, as well as sailboat lessons. During the summer season it gets really busy, but if you want to get away from the crowds it's a great option.

We loved that beach. It is sandy, sand is also in the sea so you can walk far and enjoy the waves which were great (yello flag when we were there). We were there at the end of May 2022 and weather was just perfect (air 28°C) and sea warm enough to go in (aprox. 21,5°C). Water was clear (except the sand in waves). Enough space for people on the beach (not too crowded). Some guys were walking around selling stuff, but they did not bother you if you showed you are not interested. Showers at the entrance so that you can wash the salt from body or sand from feets when leaving the beach. Portable toilets next to showers. Promenade, hotels, bars, ice cream and restaurants right accross the streat, which was perfect. The sand was hot when walking in it, so count with that. We had a great time on this beach.

Platja de la Ribera is one of the main beaches in the center of Sitges. It's frequented by a very mixed crowd, ranging from families here for the weekend to singles, gay or straight. Because of its location, it's frequently crowded in summer. If you're looking for something quieter, head to the edges of town.
Georges Younes — Google review
We have been visiting the Sitges beach at La Ribera for many years, and have always enjoyed the athmosphere, the local chiringuito- and beach bed owners (Sergi), and the cleanness of the beach. However, this year has been dreadful. Because of new regulations from the Sitges authorities, all the beach concessions were redistributed. Until July, there were no beach beds or chringuitos at all. Then, one huge chiringuito appeared and took over the 4 concessions at playa de la Ribera and Rodona Bassa. The people who work there don't know what they do. The young boys who take care of the beach beds do their best, but there is no supervision at all. Beach beds are dirty, covered with ugly and wet sheets which are never cleaned. Many beds are broken, and the beach is not kept clean so that cigarette buds go between your toes. Prices have gone up spectacularly, from 6,50 to 12 euros per bed, while the service has disappeared. The chiringuito (Sitges Republic) plays loud music most of the day. The Sitges town councel should feel responsible for the quality of their beach services, and make sure that next year things will be considerably better!!!
