Cascate di Fanes is a stunning tourist attraction featuring a large waterfall cascading over rocks, with a secure via ferrata route passing behind the water. The track spans around 7 kilometers and takes approximately 4 hours to complete including relaxing breaks. Visitors can explore multiple waterfalls by following signs along the way.
Very enjoyable walk, not difficult at all. Totally recommended. There are very nice places for a picnic.

In winter time it’s very difficult to acces the place. There were signals of the path but lots of routes and you don’t know which signal belongs to your route because there are no names written. Not good internet in the zone but the area around the place is beautiful, we found a river and you can take nice pictures there

Beautiful hike with many waterfalls. I recommend bringing a via ferrata set if you have one, it will open some paths. But the access to the waterfall can be done without a harness from the picnic area if you have sure footing and no fear of heights.

Gorgeous, breathtaking, nice hiking on the the via Ferrata, good for beginners. Wear the harness and waterproof clothing.

Around 7 kilometer track in total, it took us like 4 hours includes many relaxing breaks.
There are couple of waterfalls over there, try using the signs and reach as many as you can.
We did it without equipment and we really enjoyed and could get a good viewpoints. I guess with the equipment it is more fun and more extreme, and enable are more views, but it was good anyway.
The views are amazing and the colors of the water and of the automn was amazing as well.

We only visit the first waterfall and the canion (via ferata kit is recomended). Is a great place that you can visit also with kids. Aldo the trail contains signpostedd info about plants and trees, very educative.

No bathrooms FYI. This review is for trail 10 to Belvedere specifically - totally covered in smelly horse poop the entire way which made it not enjoyable at all. Trail is not as scenic or easy as they made it sound. My parents could not make it to the waterfall viewpoint. The waterfall itself was not very impressive or worth the 2 hour drive and 2 hour round trip hike we took to reach it.

Superb waterfall. We discovered without knowing about its location. We were biking up the forest road and when we get to the waterfall it was an amazing experience. Unfortunately we did not have time for going down at the base. But beautiful place, highly recommended

There is a very nice trekking loop to visit it. It has approx 550m of elevation in it. Liked it very much. You can chose if you want simple walk or want to combine with a little bit of ferrata (not too complicated but you need to focus on your steps). The waterfall has several levels and all of them is a beauty.

What a great hiking area. Awesome views, refreshing water, overall awesome location... A magical place to be, so much to explore and discover...
Faloria cable car is a means of transportation that takes visitors up to the top of a mountain summit, providing stunning views of the surrounding peaks. It operates regularly and is well-maintained for safe use. From the middle station, visitors can reach via ferrata "Sci Club 18" and there is a nice and easy track all the way down to Cortina from the top station. A double-way ticket costs around 23.
The lift works regularly and lift u around 1000 meter to the faloria peak, there is a spectacular panoramic view of the dolomitis, it costs 23.5 euro for double way ticket... there are a lot to hike up there 😉

Old and slow , up to 40 people. But worth for money because that ski area is just amazing (for advance skiers, black and red pistes only) all pistes are well groomed and holding almost all day. Personally I hope they will change gondola for new/faster before Olympics

The scenery is so good that it is good for trekking. Even if you go up by cable car, you can see the wonderful scenery. Access is also good if you stay in downtown Cortina d'Ampezzo.

It's an impressive climb! Although I have a feeling this is more of a ski location than anything. Besides the café, views from above, and a quick hike to the 'cliffhanger' site, there's isn't much to do.

An activity you can do with your family, and even if you have babies, as baby strollers fit perfectly in the cable car cabins. The staff is super friendly, and the views are incredible. The journey lasts about 10 minutes, and at the top, there's a bar where you can have a coffee and enjoy the views.

Two-part cable car that takes you to a quiet ski area. Views are nice but there’s not much to do at the top besides skiing in wintertime.

Had a great ride up to the top. However, wish their operating hours were a bit longer - would have liked to have gone up earlier than their first ride at 8:30. Also, was expecting more signage or guidance to hike once at the top.

Old school cable car (in the USA we would call it a Gondola lift). Late in the day you will likely have a lift to yourself going up but a crowded ride home. There is an odd transistion 1/3 of th eway up, every crosses a platform from one cable car to another to continue the trip for no good reason, it is Italy.,

This was such a kool little adventure. I paid for the cable car to the last level but I ended up not going because that ride looked insane. Beautiful views of course but also, a lovely restaurant to enjoy at, relax, have some wine or even take a nap.
La Cooperativa di Cortina is a local shopping center that offers a wide range of products, from food and wine to tools, household items, clothes, books, office supplies, and sporting goods. It is described as a modern and clean place with friendly staff. Visitors can enjoy browsing through the souvenir shop with fair prices and a wine boutique before exploring the Spar supermarket which offers high-quality products at good prices. The cooperative also provides home delivery services which have been particularly useful during the pandemic.

Great, lovely shopping centre. Worth stopping if you're near the area. The place looks modern, clean and beautiful. As you enter, you pass a souvenir shop with great assortment and fair prices. Then you pass the wine boutique and get to Spar, where there are a great number of good offers and tasty, high quality products. It's as good as all Eurospars are. The saying that the prices are too high is not true at all. The prices are medium, absolutely standard, but the generous offers combined with the top quality of the assortment makes it an enjoyable place to buy at. At the other floors of the centre you can find everything you need. Thank you!

Since moving to Cortina several years ago we have consistently shopped at the Cooperativa for the majority of our needs, finding an excellent selection of products from food and wine to tools and household products. Clothes, books, office supplies and sporting goods are all found under one roof. The overwhelming majority of the staff are extremely cheerful and helpful. The home delivery was indispensable during covid and now allows us to walk into town to do our shopping and have it delivered to our doorstep.
The store does get very crowded during the holiday periods so it is wise to shop early. Two suggestions for the busy periods, 1) try to encourage people to keep moving after entering the store rather than socializing and blocking the main corridor, 2) restrict dogs during the busiest periods.
The Cooperativa is indispensable to residents and visitors alike!

Went there twice for grocery shopping. The supermarket inside is reasonably big with enough items to fill the need of a tourist. The staff provides decent service, and the check-out process is reasonably fast. The price however, is quite expensive, and I realized that after traveling in different towns in Dolomites.

Cristallo is a serene mountain summit featuring a historic cable car, suspension bridge, and popular ski destination. Despite the cost of 20 euros to reach this location by motorbike or car, the journey and vast panoramic views make it well worth the expense. Every moment presents breathtaking scenery perfect for photography or simply enjoying the natural beauty.
Perfect place to be. It costs about 20 euro with motorbike or car to clog there but the way itself and the views is very Cent worth it!!!! Breathtaking pictures in every second. Go and dream ☺️

Simply wonderful.
You can see it from many points of view, from the backside if you are coming from Dobbiaco (a stop to lago di Landro is recommended), from the side (coming from Misurina) of from Cortina (front view).
My favourite is the back where Puz Popena Monte Cristallo and Cristallo di Mezzo are well recognizable.
Lago Federa is a charming mountain lake that boasts of a well-known hiking trail and stunning views of the Dolomites. The area surrounding the lake is picturesque and can only be accessed by foot via the Cardo Da Lago circuit trail. Visitors are encouraged to stop at the Refugio, an excellent spot for refreshments or lunch. For those who love adventure, taking a dip in the lake can be exhilarating!
(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Dolomites. Spectacular is the rocky frame of the Croda da Lago with its walls, towers and wild spiers. Located at 2038 meters above sea level, it is easy to reach from different routes, I chose the path that starts from Lake Pianozes a few steps from Cortina. Following the path marked 432 in about two you arrive at the Federa hut, for the most passionate and trained I recommend doing the Gores di Federa, much more spectacular, with this path it extends for about 30 minutes, but it is worth it. Arriving at the Federa hut, it takes half an hour to get to the lake for the more trained, the path is a bit sloping. Arriving at the lake, the show is unique! Too bad I found it frozen but the scenery is gorgeous all the same. Highly recommended 😍

(Translated by Google) Clearly it is not the "Dobbiaco - Lienz" that is easy to travel, on the contrary...
The best choice, from whatever point you start, is certainly that of a route with return by bus, unless you are well trained or equipped with an e-bike (blasphemy for purists).
In any case, enjoy the view, the cycle path offers unmissable views, don't get caught up in false competitive spirit and use your time to admire unrepeatable and ever-changing natural landscapes.
The route is well maintained and undoubtedly crowded during the weekends, in fact you have to be very careful of the wild and, if you will, a little idiotic bikers who, believing they are in Paris - Roubaix, push frantically on the pedals without any attention to the normal cyclists and calm walkers .
Cyclists (and family members) forewarned are forearmed.
(Original)

It is shady in many places, and it is often possible to walk along it among the trees. Often flanked by streams with very fresh or freezing water, it is excellent for a relaxing walk with the dog, who will also have the opportunity to cool off in the various lakes along the route.

In molti tratti ombrosa, è spesso possibile costeggiarla in mezzo agli alberi.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful but not for everyone.
The information we had read had made us imagine it as easy as the San Candido-Lienz.
It was not so.
We tackled it from Cortina with our city bikes, however already with the intention of only doing half of it to have the return journey all downhill.
Even this objective proved to be too demanding for our possibilities.
Since it is a former railway, the slope is never very steep, but it is nevertheless continuous without the possibility of resting.
Having reached the daring bridge (after approximately 6 km), also due to the scorching temperatures of summer 2022, the less trained people had reached their limit that separates effort from pleasure, so we turned back.
Apart from the first km which is asphalted, the road is unpaved and alternates between well-smooth stretches, with others of slightly sharp stones (risk of puncture for asphalt tyres) and others of gravel brought back to level the potholes where there is a slight risk of check.
So the advice is:
1 Good training
2 No city bikes, only mountain or gravel bikes
3 Or e-bikes
As always, the mountain is beautiful but each route is different from another and requires suitable training and equipment.
(Original)
1 Buon allenamento
2 No city bike, solo mountain o gravel bike
3 Oppure e-bike

When in Italy, if you say I want a ride in a gondola, the Italians will think you are headed to Venice. When you say you want to ride the tram, they will eventually tell you that you are talking about the funivia. The Tofana funivia rises up from the valley to the one of the highest spots in Cortina. We were skiing at the Tofana ski area which is mainly on the other side of the valley and had skied across the road to get to the tram. We had already seen the dramatic climb the tram makes up the mountain. Unfortunately for us, the weather moved in and the top of the mountain and our breathtaking views were shrouded in clouds. We were occasionally teased with views and sun, but denied the big ticket view we had hoped for. Skiing down was pretty easy as they groom a few runs extremely well. It's another rare spot where you can ski well over a mile of vertical in one run. The Dolomites are a special place and with each passing year, the glaciers are melting away. This area is worth a visit any time of year to take in the drama of the mountains but winter begs for skis here and stepping off from the summit of the tram is a life long memory.
