Giewont is a well-known mountain located in Tatra National Park that offers hiking trails and three peaks for adventurers to conquer. It is a challenging hike, but the stunning views from the summit make it worthwhile. Hikers can start their journey from Dolina Strazyska and climb up to Giewont, which takes about 2.5 hours.
I hiked to Giewont at the beginning of April. There was still a lot of snow on the ascent from Kuźnice, and I’m glad I didn’t descend on that same side, as it would have been quite difficult. The top of the mountain is easy to reach; climbing up through the chains wasn’t difficult. I descended on the west side of the mountain, and it was much better. There was barely any snow, and the stone stairs looked well maintained. I definitely recommend having microspikes with you when there is still snow above 1500m. Trekking poles can also be helpful. Beware of the avalanches. The view from the top is totally worth any difficulties!

Nice mountain, but after rain the rocks are slippery and difficult to climb. In bad weather you can not see anything from above

Giewont mountain is one of main popular in Polish Tatra mountains. Personally I like other places more as this is quite busy trail. I reccommend getting up early and starting climbing with sunrise.

Incredible summit. Worth a lot of effort but surely not your health.
So, I can only recommend planning your hike in advance, staying up-to-date by checking weather forecasts regularly, especially during Winter.
I started the hike with sun and finished in super thick fog with icy winds. Just be aware of that, measure your own limits and act accordingly.

Amazing mountain range in Zakopane.
We visited in May 2017 and enjoyed the fantastic views. As you might expect at this altitudes, the weather can change pretty quick and we had massive hail stones. Worth packing a change of clothes just in case!

I went up this mountain twice on the first day of hiking and then on the last. View from the top are absolutely amazing. Always attempt to climb only when the weather is perfect ie no chance of lightning as the top of this mountain has a giant iron cross which I’m sure would love lightning so make sure you check the weather. in the summer when I went in June the mountain on the way up and down near the top had rocks which were very slippery and it was very dry. If it was raining I would not want to go up that mountain just because you have to be much more careful. Not to say that it can’t be done but it would not be as enjoyable as much as if it was a clear and dry day the view is stunning I love this mountain and I will come back to do it again.

Many tourists try to climb down wrong side causing danger to others. Be ware. Beside that, it is easy to climb and you get nice view from the peak.
The Muzeum Oscypka is a heritage center that features traditional crafts and displays showcasing the cheesemaking techniques of the highland village. Visitors can learn about the history of oscypek and witness a demonstration of how it's made in various animal or symbol shapes after a brief theoretical introductory session, which unfortunately is only available in Polish. The guides are known for their engaging and humorous presentations, but non-Polish speakers may need translation assistance.
This is a great place where You can listen about origin and tradition of Oscypek , and other types if cheese, grazing sheep, also try to make cheese...We loved it Thank You
sylwia varga — Google review
Not recommended if you don't want to risk catching something because they pack all people in a single crowded room that has no hangers for coats(you leave them on the bench) and no ventilation(all the windows are closed). Pretty hot inside and these conditions are hard to bear in winter clothes. The overall show is quite long because every child is trying to mix cheese and pose for pictures. The story they tell about cheese is quite interesting so if it wasn't for conditions it could be a five star feedback.

Very cozy space

A nice experience on a rainy day. The guides were engaging and humorous, although I'm not a Polish speaker so my friend needed to translate. Overall I enjoyed it though. You can't pay by card here so prepare some cash. Also an option to have a tour in English would be good.
Ana Solovjova — Google review
Must Visit! Amazing place. Tours are in Polish - no english translation unfortunately. Cheap tickets. Very friendly staff. Very informative. You get to mould your own oscypek at the end.
Just an FYI: this isn’t a museum as such… you don’t walk around looking at stuff.
Definitely recommend 👍🏻
Thank you to the guy at reception for shrink wrapping our oscypek for our flight ✈️
They run out oscypek t-shirts 😭 so we might have to come back when we’re in Zakopane again.

Interesting place to visit if you're interested in Poland's history of cheese making and how the process occurs. The tour is for polish speaking visitors but a lovely staff member translated the talk in English to help us understand. It is a bit long, around 1.5 hours, but I had a good experience, especially molding our own cheese.

Amazing experience. We speak a slavic language, so we understood a good bit and it was all very informative. I recommend anyone who can understand polish at 2/10 level or more to visit. Also, the cheese is very good.

I didn't make the tour at all. 5 stars for the kindness of receptionist. She told us that the tour is only in polish but we don't speak polish. So she apologized so much and advised us sincerely to not waste money and time, after that she advised us to go to other places where we can enjoy more.

Veeery interesting! You find out more about the history and how to make polish oscypek. Highly recommended!
Malgorzata Jaszczak — Google review
Nice place where you can learn about the history of oscypek and what makes the real oscypek. It is in Polish language only. After theoretical part, there is a quick practice of making the cheese in a shape of animal or symbol. It was good but I was with foreign visitors who were a bit bored as they didn't understand a thing. A good idea would be to make these shows in English once a day:)
The Kolej Kasprowy Wierch Kuźnice is a popular cable car that takes visitors from the base to the top of Kasprowy Wierch in the Tatra Mountains. The cable railway was built quickly in 1936 and now takes just 12 minutes for visitors to reach the summit. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for lengthy queues, particularly during busy periods.
Hello. Our second visit. Still hugely popular but much more expensive. Lengthy queues but got in after 1 hour. We took the cable car up and down as we had children with us. Incredible views and vistas. Take stout shoes. They've added a circular cable chair ride which is great. Try the restaurant here - very busy but good food, although choice limited especially for vegetarians. It does get busy so you will have to queue. Well worth a visit!

Amazing experience! Must do it!
The cafeteria on the top was really amazing. It's a bistro type and with great options. The staff was so helpful!!! This was our best dinner ever!!!
We bought the tickets online beforehand. It was Thursday afternoon. The way back at 7pm was pretty crowded though.
We were traveling with a 2 year old baby. The scooter we took with us was quite a burden, but there was a corner to leave it to take a nice mountain walk. It was quite cool that day, so we spent an hour outside and some time in the bistro.
ANAMALEYA — Google review
Very quick entrance and well maintained system to get up the cable cart. Cheap for the experience you get an would make sure you are on the side of the cart so you can get the view the whole way up. Ensure you give enough time to get back down as they do stop running fairly early.
Will Grimsey — Google review
Simply a must when you visit Zakopane! The view up at the top is breathtaking, and being able to take the cable car to the top is super convenient.
We read reviews and got tickets online ahead of our ride which saved us time cause it was crowded when we got there. FYI they fill the cable car to the brim with people so if you’re very covid-conscious, this might not be comfortable for you.
Erin L — Google review
10 minutes of extremely scenic ride. You need to go there! Unfortunately I felt like the price is very steep since it's 109 zł one way and 129 zł both with only 1.5h in between going up and down (in summer at least). For 10 minutes and over 30 people squeezed in a small cart i think it should be half of that price.
Either way it is the only effortless way of getting to the top of Kasprowy Wierch so i Think it's worth it.

A lot of people but amazing views. We went up by funicular and down by legs. Down it took 5.5 hours instead promised 3 h)))
So we were home a very late. We had a real adventure.
Please buy in a very advance ticket! And online
Tickets are expensive.

The one of the most high points of Tatra-mountains.1987 m.
Amazing view ! It's the border between Slovakia and Poland. You can see the nature of the both of countries from the top.
But you can't never guess what will be the weather like. You can climb on with the shining sky, but after 5 minutes it could be snow with strong wind and bad view from over the mountain.
Галина Иванькова — Google review
It's worth visiting any time of the year. Better choose a day when the weather is calm and the sky is clear. You will have full visibility. The tickets are cheaper depending on the season and time of the day. You can purchase it online easily. There is a very nice little restaurant at the very top of Kasprowy. There are hiking paths of different difficulties.

This is obviously the main draw when visiting and coming to Zakopane. The newish gondola whisks you up from the edge of the city center to one of the highest peaks in Poland, literally on the border with Slovakia. We bought tickets in advance at a kiosk in the city center a day beforehand, which was a great idea, saved us hours of waiting in a queue at the gondola. Even then, we still had to wait about 15 minutes to board. Unfortunately there is some construction going on on the main road, so taxis, cars and busses cannot get to the gondola, so be prepared to walk about 1km uphill slightly. The lift is great and moves fast. At the top, you can buy some souvenirs and there is a restaurant with good food and drinks. You can walk around a bit at the top too, to even higher peak. Unfortunately you only get 2 hours total, minus the time of the ride up, so use it wisely. A big minus is no dogs allowed, even small ones. Even though whiny kids in strollers are allowed. This should be changed. However it's worth the price and a great experience. Recommend visiting.
Paul Heller — Google review
Better to buy tickets day or two earlyer on official webpage, because most of the quees were on buing tickets on site. Parking is far so you better come earlyer to get it on time. They may pass you a bit earlyer than your time if its not very crowdy. Organisation for going down the hill with lift was bit chaotic, but situation was under control. Recommend.

Worth the trip. However, I did encounter some difficulties with the system in place. Specifically, I had trouble getting answers in English about what would happen if I didn’t return within 1 hour and 40 minutes. The system seemed pretty disorganized and chaotic, with people not staying in line. To make matters worse, if you stay in line and your ticket expires, you have to go back and pay extra before getting back in line. This was frustrating and inconvenient. Despite these issues, I still enjoyed my visit overall.

One of the best Cable car in Poland. In Summer they are usually crowded. They open from 8:00 to 15:30. If you dont have ticket already in Hand dont bother to arrive around 15:30. Usually tickets get booked very fast. One car can take upto 60 people. On top there is a restaurant which is too crowded because everyone try to drink or eat something. Off season ticket cost 99 pln for both way. On top they give u two hours, that include the trip which is around 15 mins each way. Unless you go for a hike 2 hours is mote than enough.
Hameem Russel — Google review
Wasn't alot of parking when we went alot of construction going on. Car park near hotel was 50zl cash only. Was then about 10 min walk to area . Toilets were available but charged 2zl to enter make sure you have some cash on you.
Wasn't alot to go up you can either hike up and catch a ride down or get a return trip.
Height of mountain to top is 2600+ meters. Was -4 at the top. Wear suitable clothing. Also snowy.
Restaurant is available at the top you can have food and drink. Small little shop sells few t-shits and hoodys and jumpers hat gloves.
The views are spectacular, especially if you catch a clear day. Absolutely breath taking I could of stayed up there for hours. Definitely worth seeing. We drove just short of 2 hours from krakow to see it. I'd say was worth it. Located in zakopane.

Great overall experience from buying the tickets at the counter to enjoying the panoramic view from the cable car and enjoying the snow up on top! A must visit place if you’re here in Zakopane! Surely will come again ❄️🔥
If I’m not mistaken it will be cheaper if you buy the ticket in advance. For me, I purchased the tickets on the day and since I am a student I did receive a reduced ticket price.

Must see! Stunning views! If you have a car I recommend driving to the top parking lot and then it's about 20 minutes walking up to the cable car station. We had 2y.o and a stroller and it was quite manageable. Also it's best to go there earlier (before 10 am) as later there are long queues to enter the cable car. Tickets available at the spot, no need to buy in advance.

Must visit place while in Zakopane. The cable car takes to the highest point in the Tatra mountains in 10-15 mins. The view from the top is amazing , as well as the view from the cable car during the journey.
Gets crowded though, with long queues for tickets, although if you have booked in advance then no need to wait in the queue. This was definitely my favourite experience in the whole Zakopane trip.

I highly recommend a visit on this place. There is a bus service from Watra up to the mountain. You need to walk like 300m to buy the tickets. If you are going on high season, probably you should get tickets online and arrive early as the queue will get big.
There are restaurants at the top but I havent tried them.
The view js amazing, a lot of snowboarding and skiing. If you go with children be careful to dont let them fall.
If you dont plan to go up and walk back make sure to purchase return tickets.
Renato Gentil — Google review
Nice place but ticket office is the worst! I can’t even buy the online tickets as it’s sold out for the day and the queue to buy the physical tickets was one hour, a waste of my time. Too many tourists and domestic visitors visiting in December. Advice is to buy your tickets online in advance. Wish there was parking right at the cable car station itself and not make visitors walk about 1km.

If you don't like crowds, you can also hike up to Gubalowka early in the morning. I was the only soul up there right after sunrise (6am-ish). If you're in good shape, you can make it up to the top in 25 minutes by taking the black trail next to the cable car tracks. It took me 15 minutes to get back down. Everything will be closed up there at that time but you will have it to yourself. Beautiful views!

Initially I thought to skip this attraction from my schedule but decided to visit this as I had some time before going to kasprowy wierch. After the visit, realised that I could have been missed such an amazing spot. It is not much pricey and worth for the money paid. Though the skiing is not available during summer, it is opened for the view. As the ride is in open car, it's more enjoyable but there is no restrictions as well. You could take your kids irrespective of their age, even it's an open ride. I could see some one had even carried their pets over there to the top. Gubalowka is clearly visible from here which is very nice to view. Only draw back I noticed is that the queue in the ticket counter was moving slowly. It might be because they accept only cash. I repeat, they will accept ONLY cash. I would advise you to always have enough cash in your pocket when you are in zakopane.

Useful info ℹ️- you must pay an entrance fee for this area, and inside you can buy a tickets to the slide. It’s good to know in advance if they open for a public, the morning we came it’s been closed for a training for sky jumping, and no one there could really explain to you if the attraction will be open later. We just came back to see if it’s works, but it was worth it.

It is a great place however limited to only mobile people; no access for disable ( we're not all the same) and poor accesibility to families with prams (100 stairs to get up to the sector). There could have been tickets offered to families with children up to 1 or 2 years to stand at the bottom (which was empty for qualifications round up) - I'm sure you'd sell more tickets then.
Last but not least, it's an international event but polish language was spoken 99% of the time - which is fine however , there are other ways of making this and other events inclusive.
Lets change this and show that Poland can be the country to welcome everyone.

While exploring Zakopane, it's worthwhile to taste local specialties, such as grilled cheeses and the sweet treat "krówka" made from milk caramel.
The old street of Zakopane, adorned with the renowned Krupówki, has gracefully preserved its heritage and cultural legacy over time. Centuries-old buildings, cottages adorned with wood carvings, and enduring stone walls infuse the street with a magical atmosphere. Walking on the quiet cobblestone paths, one can sense the spirit of the past, while the offerings of traditional shops and cafes eerily evoke the ambiance of bygone eras. A cemetary you pay to go into. A new concept for me but paid as i was told this was something really special. the carvings are really nice on the tombstones are nice but of course, out of respect, you arent really taking pictures. I definetely saw much prettier cemetaries during my stay in Poland

The Kolej linowo-terenowa "Gubałówka" - stacja dolna offers a funicular ride up to the top of Gubałówka mountain, where visitors can enjoy stunning views, purchase souvenirs and clothes from Poland, and indulge in delicious food and drinks at various restaurants. The mountain cable car also features a giant slide for those seeking an extra thrill.
Amazing place. I would recommend to take the hiking route. Not the cable bus. Then you can enjoy the view as you climb up. There are nice restaurants up. We also ate typical polish food. Had a great experience.
Tips:
1. Better to go on a clear day to have a better view of the whole city.
2. Use Crampons. EXTREMELY Important. We saw many people were sliding because of slippery ice.

The view from the top was simply breathtaking. For a moment, I felt like I was in a completely different place. There were many restaurants on top with some fairytale decorations. Perfect place to click some memorable photos.
It cost us 35 zl per person to go on hill top and back, which I think is reasonable. The trams run every 5-10 minutes. Without a doubt, it's a recommended place to visit in Zakopane.👍

It’s an amazing place . There are many outdoor activities that adults and children can do . Also , there are many restaurants and coffees . Many shops are there too.
You should prepare yourself to spend not less than 5 hours. Don’t forget to bring a heavy clothes because it’s very cold .

It was a nice journey ❤ Good restaurants and ice skiing site over there, Up-down ticket proce was 39 PLN per person. One could buy a one way ticket to have a nice experience of the train and come down by foot (but check if the route is suitable to walk at that time/weather, as sometimes its very slippery for black ice). A small suggestion: if you want to enjoy the nice view from the train, secure your position at the back side.

It was a beautiful experience up through the snow clad slopes using the funicular to reach Gubalowka. It's 35 zloty/person to and fro, which is reasonable.
The views were great of the Tatras and it is easily a 3 hour excursion, great with family.
The only reason I am not giving it a 5 is lack of more activities to engage people.

A lovely little trip (5 minutes) up the hillside where you get stunning views on a good day. See the 'sleeping giant' in the distance. Visit the restaurants/cafes at the top or buy an ice-cream (the stalls at the back are the cheapest and friendlier). There are places to just sit and relax and some fun fair type activities if you fancy.

Nice way how to get to the Gubalowka hill. True is that was crowded with tourists, queues was everywhere. And everywhere are stands with everything, maybe someone likes it, but...
So the view to the Tatry Mountains from the Gubalowka hill is fantastic.

The views from the top of the mountain are lovely. The funicular ride was extremely crowded, as was the area at the top, which is nothing more than a tourist trap with trinket kiosks and bars. Unless you are planning to take a nice long hike in the area, I would not recommend this experience.

This wee railway, near to Zakopane is great to allow people to easily get to the top of the mountain to enjoy the view and restaurants and cafes etc
It is very busy but as we had a guide we could avoid the ticket queue and get the train, this queue was also busy but it moved very quickly as the trains are very frequent
The snow had fallen heavily prior to our visit which made it all very beautiful,I would definitely recommend

Amazing views once you get up. Although- getting a ticket is a miracle. As you’re not recommended to buy ticket from public member, you have a two options. One you buy online - in my case my transaction was duplicated and I’m still waiting for my funds return (?). Or queue which is very long and ticket machine is so slow and again it end up not working for long time.
In both of cases - needs improvement- website stopped working multiple times.
I never met such a dissapointment vs. serving huge groups of tourists. With nowadays technology everything could go smoothly.
It’s a shame for polish tourism.
The Happy Museum Zakopane is a fun and quirky museum with exhibits full of candy-coloured objects and colourful backgrounds. It's great for taking selfies, as there's a place to put your coat and leave your things so you can enjoy the experience more. The museum is located in the mall, so it's easy to find.

3 stars only for the great idea. Definitely not worth its price, dirty and small, bad light for taking photos. Moreover the "swimming pool" with marshmallows is actually dangerous - the bottom of it should be soft, now kid can get trauma there easily.

Siklawica Waterfall is a stunning natural wonder that cascades down a steep cliff into a rocky pool, with a height of over 23 meters in two main stages. It is best visited during early summer or after heavy rainfall. The surrounding trails are also beautiful and worth exploring. However, during peak tourist season, the road leading to the waterfall can be narrow and slippery, so visitors should wear appropriate footwear and exercise caution.
In a beautiful natural setting, you can touch the waterfall. However, in summer, when there are many tourists, the road leading to the waterfall is very narrow and the stones are slippery. You have to wear good shoes and be careful. ;)
But the waterfall is beautiful. :)

A beautiful place for hiking and walking open air. An impression is spoiled by incredibly expensive parking (almost 10 EUR) organized by local residents not only near the park but along about 1 km from it, but without security, open air on a ground and dirt. Also the entrance to the area is for money (for comparison all the similar and even better places in Austria, Switzerland and Germany are absolutely free). There are quite a lot people inside and impossible to go deep in nature because of total crowd

One of the easier destinations to enjoy an easy route up the mountains. Suitable if you travel with kids.
In winter I'd advise getting spikes, as (especially around 0 degrees) with snow pathway can get really icy and slippery.
Toilets available just after the ticket office. A little cafeteria available at the junction of pathways and some 500m away from the waterfall.

Kaplica pw. Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa w Jaszczurówce
The Chapel of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Jaszczurowka is a stunning example of the Zakopianski style, designed by renowned Polish artist Stanislaw Witkiewicz. Its intricate and delicate decoration belies its simple architecture, making it a must-see attraction in Zakopane. Located just outside the city center, visitors should take care when crossing the road as it is situated on a curve.
Tiny, beautiful, wooden traditional church. There's a parking spot just opposite it and it's worth the short drive out of town to see this little treasure. There's nothing else there apart from this slice of eclasiastical beauty.

The Muzeum Stylu Zakopiańskiego im. S. Witkiewicza is a must-visit for those interested in local culture and tradition. It showcases the history of Zakopane-style homes through displays of artisanal crafts within a traditional wooden Highlander villa from the late 1800s. The building is beautifully renovated and well-preserved in its original style, which is rare to find in modern-day Zakopane due to destruction caused by hotel and apartment construction.
It's free to attend on Sundays. They provide an English and Polish audio guide. Highly recommend it, as it provides great insights into the house and the items in it. It's around a 30-minute tour. As far as museums go, this is one of the better ones.

Galeria Władysława Hasiora. Filia Muzeum Tatrzańskiego
The Galeria Władysława Hasiora, a branch of the Tatra Museum located in Zakopane, is an incredible art gallery that showcases the works of Wladyslaw Hasior, a renowned Polish artist. The building itself is fantastic and was constructed in 1936. His thought-provoking assemblages made from everyday objects are truly mind-blowing and full of hidden meanings that require careful interpretation.

Kasprowy Wierch is a 1,987-meter mountain peak that can be accessed via cable car and is a popular destination for both skiing and hiking. It's one of the most famous local attractions in the area during both the summer and winter months. During winter, there are two chairlifts and two ski slopes for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Beautiful views to Slovak High Tatras. Especially Kriváň. Must be seen in winter. You can descend by yourself. No cable car needed. That's the best of it. You can have 360 panoramatické views. The only blockage is observatory building. You can hike everywhere from top and its safe. It's just 1900m above sea level so no danger if you have hiking experience. The only letdown is the cable car lure ppl with zero mountain experience with zero clue how to behave in mountains (heels, city clothes, sneakers, ppl with dogs or small children). Buy cable car to the top, enjoy your stay and then descend on foot. Best experience. Can be easily fine as one day hike.

Review for Kasprowy Wierch:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kasprowy Wierch, set amidst the captivating backdrop of Zakopane, is more than just a mountain peak—it's an experience. Each footstep on the trail elevates you, not just in altitude but in spirit, with nature's grandeur unfolding before your eyes. The journey to the summit offers a meditative rhythm, allowing introspection and connection with the vast beauty around.
Reaching the apex, you're greeted by panoramic vistas that seem to stretch endlessly, making every effort worth it. It's moments like these, standing atop Kasprowy Wierch, where we're reminded of our own potential—to rise, overcome, and enjoy the rewards of our journey.
In my work as a remote personal trainer and life coach, I often emphasize the parallels between physical challenges and life's journey. Kasprowy Wierch is a testament to this—showing us that with dedication and the right mindset, we can reach great heights, both literally and metaphorically. Embrace the climb and cherish the view. 🌍🌄💪🏼.

Gorgeous views, a little scary, pretty high up, and absolutely worth the money to go up. It’s a ride that takes quite a bit of time, but you enjoy it. Once at the top you can either go for a stroll, a hike, or enjoy a restaurant with overpriced everything. Watch out for lightening strikes and falls. You can tumble for quite a while, but there’s a solid orthopedics hospital a short helicopter ride away.

For me that's simply impossible to express my feelings during this trip. The weather for 3rd of May was crazy, and of course it's always such a miracle to observe snow in the end of spring. The trails which we are choose for our hiking were not overcrowded,I think that's because the weather was harsh and people mainly visiting summit with elevator.Thats definitely worth to visit this place at least once

We visited the place on Saturday by cable car. If you plan to reach it by cable car from Kuznice during the weekend (and maybe not only the weekend), I highly recommend to buy the tickets in advance online. If you won't do that, you will wait in very long line of people at the checkout. On the top is located restaurant with toilets (paid!) and you will meet a lot of people there. But when you get out, you will get beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. We went back down to the Kuzine by our own and we enjoyed the beautiful nature around the trail.

HIGHLY recommend event it’s not very cheap, but you will never forget that breathtaking view and feeling being such a small thing on this planet. Better to buy tickets day or two earlyer on official webpage, because most of the quees were on buing tickets on site. You can get traditional potato pancake on site for 5zl, that was lovely. Organisation for going down the hill with lift was bit chaotic, but situation was under control. Recommend.

One of the most stunning places I’ve ever been to. The trip up was worth every single penny in the cart (but make sure you try and get next to a window). Once you’re up there, you’ll be amazed with the views but make sure to keep exploring as there’s so many different views to witness from the top. The photos and memories you

Great place! But do your recon in advance as you can get stuck at the top waiting for the queue to go down before you will be able to buy a ticket. They have some weird rules that those who bought two-way ticket must go down first before they even would sell a one way ticket.

You can buy tickets online and it is easiest and Guaranteed way to secure a visit here.

Lovely place. I never visited the polish side of Tatras but it sure is a great memory. To start with the access, its arround 1km from the parking (I recommend you to park your car in the alleys next to roundabout) and really not hard to walk under the cabins at all. The cabins are a bit crowded but if u catch your spot, you can still enjoy the views and spot some wildlife along your way to the top. Both rides to the peak sums up to 15min. Same goes for ride down. The walk from the cabin to the Kasprowy Wierch is arround 1h with easy to medium inclines and “stairs” in the rocks. The views are definitely something. You see both Slovak Tatras and Polish Tatras. Price-wise, cheaper than most of the cablecars in Slovakia, less crowded than in Slovakia but the only catch is that the workers usually speak and announce stuff in Polish only. Sadly, dogs are not allowed.

Our favourite view in Zakopane! Highly worth catching the cable car up and spending as much time at the peak as you can. Weather can change VERY quickly, so being waterproofs and layers as there’s little shelter. We experienced about three seasons in 45 minutes but it added to the experience!
A little disappointed that, even after paying a bit more than average (for tickets in Zakopane) to travel to the peak, you still had to pay to use the toilets, so be mindful of that.

I have to say it was truly hard climb to the top due to the weather conditions. We chose a bad time to get on the top - rainy, foggy and windy day but all the more adventurous. Snow overshoes with anti-slip spikes was a good choice, without this stuff the road on the top was almost inaccesible. But I believe it would be much easier and much better trail in good weather.

Lovely place on the border between Poland and Slovakia. From here you can see meany peaks of the high tatras. As I hiked there the weather was not that good but it was worth it. You can take the cable car (25€ each way) up and down but you can also hike both ways. In winter you obviously need crampons and adequate clothing.

Probably the best ski resort in Poland in regards with beautiful views. But if the price for the ski pass is too high for the number of slopes available. You get so much for 70 euro a day in Austrian Alps! And there are always long queues! Your favourite Polish word should be “kolejka” (a queue). Weekdays and weekends, always! On weekdays the interval for gongolas (the train that takes you up to the mountain) is longer, so you wait anyways. But the views are fantastic.
If you are a beginner in skiing/snowboarding choose another ski resort, there are no simple slopes here

It was a life time experience. Literally! This what we achieved will never perish from our memories. It is funny to say it was May, like early May yet there was enormous amount of snow just pass the tram station. I was so pround of my then GF because se was so exchausted but she managed. Polish mountains are exceptionally beautiful but you have to keep in mind and be aware of the dangers. This isn't a playground, you can get seriously harmed or even die if you won't pay attention. My message to is this, book your holiday, pack all you need and don't hesitate as second!
Nosal Ski Center is a popular skiing destination located in the heart of Bystre. It offers a range of beginner-friendly slopes and group instruction for skiers and snowboarders. For those who want to explore beyond, Mount Kasprowy Wierch Ski Resort and Harenda Ski and Recreational Center are both nearby. The ski instructors are highly professional, fluent in English, and reservations must be made at least one day prior to your visit.
Great value, friendly ski school for children. We've been two years because the set up is so safe and you can watch the lessons from the comfortable restaurant at the bottom of the slopes. The instructors speak many languages and make learning fun for the kids. This year, when snow is thin on the ground and some schools are struggling Nosal has kept the conditions for thoroughly enjoyable skiing.

From a fresh selection of pastries to a variety of cereals and fruits, they offer a satisfying range of options. The friendly staff keeps everything well-stocked and the coffee is always hot and ready. It's the perfect way to fuel up for a trek.

It's good for the kids or for the beginners. Not much to do if you are intermediate. Around 6 trails but all the same apart one where you have lessons and few obstacles. Google maps wasn't very accurate on a road either. Cheap otherwise. All equipment and clothing for rent too.

This was my and my husband's first experience with alpine sports and with lessons. Can't recommend this school enough. Was so much fun! We booked 3-day packages for ski and snowboard. There were small groups of max. 5 people + instructor. Within 3 days I learned some SNB basics thanks to instructor Pawel and will definitely continue learning. See you next season!

Low slopes, perfect for beginners. Small area for young children, where they can learn to ski. My 4-year old son was completely amazed. We also went to a sleigh slope for kids. It was very good, but a bit crowded. Kids were offered free raspberry tea at the sleigh slope. Real winter fun! We loved it

Best ski resort for beginners. This was the first time we did skiing, and it was great fun. 😃
For a single person it cost, 50 zl for 2 hours for skiing pass, 40 zl for rental equipments (skiing boards, shoes, helmet, etc) for 2 hours, and 275 zl for 4 persons, 1 hour lesson from instructor in English.
The instructor was quite friendly, and we are glad that we learned some basics of skiing. Overall, it is a recommended place. 👍

It is a very nice place to visit for ski lessons when you are beginner and for kids to learn fast.
The ski instructors are very professional and they speak good English.
You meet to make a reservation at least a day before.
It has a beginner's ski lift that makes the lessons much easier.
There is ski equipment rental at the spot and a very nice "alpine style" restaurant.
Try the bean soup with bacon, it will warm up your day!

My son took a snowboarding course here for a week, and it was great, even though he only speaks English. Most (but not all) of the instructors could speak good English, and all of them were great with the kids. My son learned a lot, made friends, and was super stoked to get a trophy at the end.
This is a fantastic place to learn. All of the runs were quite easy (green and blue), and the beginner snowboard class went to the top of the steepest hill on the second day.

It was my son's 3rd season at Nosal Ski Center this year. He did a 5 day snowboarding course "Strama" and he absolutely loved it each time. His instructor, Szymon, was polite, professional and great with kids. We will definitely be back next season!

Really good infrastructure and ski rental shop. Professional service and friendly staff. Amazingly effective training provided to my kids. They were able start skiing on their own after just two lessons.
I would highly recommend Nosal Ski Center for those who like to learn and enjoy skiing.

The Tatra Museum in Zakopane is a charming cultural institution that showcases the region's heritage through its ethnological, artistic, and natural history exhibits. It serves as a central hub for several other museums scattered throughout the city's Zakopane-style villas. The museum offers an excellent opportunity to familiarize oneself with local customs and folk art. It is particularly great for children, who can learn about the area's nature and culture in a fun and engaging way.
Beautiful museum about Tatra nature and history. Fully recommended. Suitable also for family with children

An excellent and accessible local museum. I was not overwhelmed with too much information and I was able to appreciate the history of Zakopané, as well as the natural history of the area - all in one visit.

You have to but ticket to get inside main musuem. The musem has 2 floors where you can see the history of this region and its one of the oldest museum in Poland. Intersting place very detailed history about people from mountains, the famous people from this region, animals of the region, lifestyle of people, old maps and many other info. Nice place to visit to know this region well. But almost all the explaination in Polish.

Nice museum but knowing the history of the region I feel like huge part of it is still missing. Great memorabilia in the little museum shop.

It was a very cozy local museum that showcases local customs and wildlife. There was a nice narrative of the local culture there, I really enjoyed what the curators have put together. For a small museum, it has a pretty impressive collection of minerals, plant specimens and various wildlife. I spent some time admiring the bronze topographical map and had fun trying to identify where I’ve been to on the map. The downside was that there was no english description, so we could only rely on a double-sided A4 info sheet given at the reception for information. While it is surprisingly informative, it took away some enjoyment of the exhibit.

Worth a visit, but note that the explanations are all in Polish only. Still, it gives a visual insight into the geology, history, traditions, flora and fauna of the region. Some translation for international visitors should definitely be considered by the museum.
