Signal Iduna Park is the renowned home stadium of Borussia Dortmund FC, boasting a seating capacity exceeding 80,000 for league matches and over 65,000 during European tournaments. This remarkable stadium offers an enjoyable tour experience to visitors while featuring a friendly staff that provides exceptional hospitality. The breathtaking edifice stands out as one of the most impressive stadiums globally with its stunning evening view and spectacular Yellow Wall features.
Had a wonderful stadium tour and the staff is very friendly.. you get to be and feel like a real BVB player for once..

Amazing stadium and one of the main sights in Dortmund! It is located at the outskirts of the city and reaching it is not that easy. There are a lot of fan shops and food stalls surrounding it. It is very calm if it isn't match day. Overall, a great attraction.

Best atmosphere in Europe.
I’ve been to a lot of stadium but this one is so special, no matter what the game is!
Europa, Champions, Cup, Bundesliga, always a pleasure.
The SudTribune is incredible !

Biggest stadium of Germany, capacity is little over 81000 people. Should be a must on your list to visit the stadium, or even better, a BVB match.

Great stadium, really acoustic, good connection to the railway station (U-45 goes directly), very organized for supporters, both home and visitors. Plenty of turnstiles to get it, but it's still advisable to come earlier to the game, since 81.000 is a lot of fans

Incredible atmosphere! For my first time at a German football match, I couldn’t have imagined how good the atmosphere is. Stadium is super tall, which adds to the feel of the place, plus deafening chants from the ultras. Could not recommend visiting more, and I would defiantly pay to go again. Beer is also not a rare sight, which adds even more to the enjoyment of the match.

The greatest atmosphere I’ve seen so far on oa football staidum. It has 81365 seats and it’s always full. Not only that, but the whole stadium is singing for the entire duration of the game. It’s a must see if you are a football passionate.

Went to a match against RB Leipzig back in April 2022. It was my first experience of a football match in Germany. The atmosphere was absolutely incredible. The stadium is enormous. Fans were throwing their beer cups around when their team conceded, so it was a little scary.

Best Stadium I have ever seen, the stadium just looked amazing in the evening. I was excited to see the Yellow wall

This is the best football ground for atmosphere in Western Europe. Although there are better grounds in terms of facilities or more modern ones for comfort, none of them can beat Signal Iduna Park. Fans are fantastic throughout the whole match, beer is amazing, getting to the ground is easy by trams, can get packed going out but still you will be out in a matter of minutes. The official store at the ground is massive. All being said, you must visit! There are plenty of fans coming from the nearby countries also.

Very beautiful 😍, yesterday the peoples are friendly at the place. And friendly playful game and big stadium to see there everything. Buy tickets and enjoy the view and atmosphere and feel the playing show and game. Prices are fine and was clean as well.

I love this stadium, since my dad took me here on his shoulders 25 yrs ago.
It's great. Must see in Dortmund.
Just the parking situation is horrible and expensive, the crowded situation in front of the stadium especially after games is unorganized and too crowded and some of the food in the stadium is just a disappointment.
Hope somebody reads this and keeps working ⚒ 💛🖤

I went for a stadium tour. It was okay. But The tour was very limited. A lot of restricted areas. Couldn't take a picture from above, since we couldn't go up.
Other than that, the stadium is amazing, (goosebumps guaranteed)
I loved that the employees were very welcoming and helpful.

Best stadium in the world. Nothing as good as standing in the Südtrubüne/Yellow Wall.
The only bad thing is the stewards let people stand on the stairs. This makes getting up and down almost impossible, especially with beers in hand. Sadly I was tripped and all my beers spilled because of this.

The German Football Museum is an impressive institution showcasing the rich history of soccer in Germany through exhibits and multimedia installations. It caters to both football enthusiasts and families with spaces for kids to play. The museum presents interesting facts about the sport's history, including that of German football. While some may find the admission fee high, it covers all access, making it worth a visit. The friendly staff also adds to the overall experience.
The museum is amazing. If you’re a football fan (or a kid 😁), there is sooo much to see! There are also spaces where kids can play. So many interesting facts about the history of football and of German football. The fee is a bit high. I know that it includes everything, but maybe the fee could be lower just for visiting and people who want extra access to stuff could pay more.
Anyway, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Mind Boggling. a 7- star experience. Spend 3 hours and it still wasn't enough. There so much historical significance of this Sport And this was only the German part of it. Had to rush for the last 15 mins. But what an experience. This museum actually showcases why Football is a way of life. Being one of those who live football, this was so exciting, that I had to restrain myself from shouting ( in a good way) and jumping like a child. So detailed, so many artifacts, photos, and the historical videos were just so thrilling. and the 3-D show was just Wow.
I could go on and on, but will let you guys enjoy the real spine chilling experience. Personally, I Couldn't get enough, but will definitely visit again. And recommend to not just a football fan, but anyone who understands the significance of what a museum should be that honours legacy and it's legends.

Excellent museum next to the central train station in Dortmund. 19 euros ticket for an adult. Children, students etc. cheaper. Focussing on the international and domestic achievements of German football teams, this modern museum combines film and multimedia with traditional info boards (in German and English), and real momentos and original pieces behind glass. Fun items too such as Helmut Schön's cap and a tribute to Paul the Octopus (who was born at Sealife in my hometown of Weymouth, England). I am 61 years old, and I remember many of the German players and football triumphs, so for me it was worth visiting. I would recommend to any football fan who also enjoys history and museums. I was in the museum for 3 hours, but I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to catch a train. There is plenty to see and do. There is also a film and tour.

As someone with no real interest in football, I found myself spending hours here. It was interesting all the way through and you get a real sense of the passion involved.
There is a floor dedicated to the history of the German team, accomplishments and highlights over the years and another for the Bundesliga and some interactive pieces at the end.
If I recall, all content was in German and English.

Great museum, specially for those interested in the German National team. Nice memorabilia and texts also available in English. The 3D ride is just a joke, but not to the point of hurtimg the muse as a whole. Interesting stuff on the museum store.

Probably, the biggest football museum in Germany, nice to visit if you were in Dortmund or transit( very close of the train station ). You can discover history of the sport in the country through it’s history: world wars, division of country, the era after reunification.
Interactive and comprehensive, it can takes few hours to carefully visit it. For me it deservs if you are a football fan.

Super cool exhibits explaining the history of German football. I myself am not specifically a fan of the German national team but I really enjoyed the time I spent here. Cool artifacts and great descriptions, could spend about 3 hours here and it’s right across from the main train station so a great place to kill time before catching a train. Student discount is amazing, almost 50% off of the ticket price.

Excellent place for anyone interested in football. There is a good mix of interactive media, reading about exhibits, items to see and stories to learn.
Very captivating thematic parts of the museum from important matches in German football all the way to recent times (including also women squads), great job 👍
I personally really enjoyed the West vs East Germany section and part that football played during war times, but they definitely have also easier to digest areas and kid routes.
You can spend between half a day to full day here depending on how thorough you want to be.
Recommend buying tickets online as they are a bit cheaper than buying on-site.

Westfalenpark is a vast and spacious park that boasts of a rosarium, mini train, observation deck with a café, and outdoor event spaces. The park is surrounded by trees which provide shade and create a relaxing ambiance for visitors. It's home to ducks and birds who roam freely around the area. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, mass gatherings were prohibited but now visitors can spend quality time with their friends and family at the park.
A park with wide space and trees. You can not imagine how pleasant you will feel if you visit the place. I have visited twice this place and I loved the place. You can walk around, have relaxation in the sitting chair. There are ducks and birds freely roaming around. Due to COVID-19 mass gatherings were not permitted, but now it's no longer applicable. So you guys can spend some quality time with your family and friends there. You just have to pay a very little amount of entry fee for tickets. But you cannot go in and out several times with the same ticket. Only one entry and exit is possible. There are wide space for parking too.

This park is one of the most beautiful parks which i have visited so far in Germany. Specially it is beautiful during the spring because of flowers and green nature 😍. It has fee for entrance and you have to pay 3.5 to visit it but it really worth because the park is so huge and fantastic. Wben you go there be ready to take a lot of photos from yourself because that could be really cool for your instagram profile photo 😉. It has many entrances and exits but i recommend to enter the main entrance because it is near Ubahn. For reaching the park you can simply take one Ubahn from Dortmund Hbf and reach the park after around 5 stations. There is a tower in the park which is so high and you can pay more 2 Euros and go to the top of it by elevator. Also there are some restaurants and cafe in the park which you can eat or have coffe or snack as well as food there. I don't recommend to go there alone because you need someone to take photo from you 😉

Beautiful park. Worth seeing in every weather condition. I guess in summer must be the best. But even now in winter we had a beautiful walk with my doggie❤️🦮. Cost 2€ the entry. What I do not understand is that you need to be vaccinated to enter even though all restaurants are closed during the winter🤷♀️🤦♀️.

Pretty nice but overrated park on the outskirts of Dortmund. It costs €3.50 to enter and you can't even get on top of Florian Turm. There aren't a lot of sights inside of the park apart from a lake and the Japanese garden which is cool. I haven't seen such garden. However, everything else is just normal and you will find it in every public park. Also, all restaurants and shops are closed. However, there are many different kinds of trees and flowers, it is really calm and there are a lot of attractions for kids.

I recently visited Westfalen Park in February and was impressed by its vast green space and numerous children's play areas. Although the railway and boats were closed during the winter season, it remained a fantastic park for children to explore and enjoy. Additionally, the park offers great opportunities for jogging and staying active.

Ticket price for an adult:
3.5 euros (just walk in the park)
5.5 euros (+ climb the tower).
There is a real train on the territory. The duration of the route is about 15 minutes. Ticket price for an adult is 5 euros, for children under 4 years - free. There are toilets, cafes, playgrounds. There is no alcohol in the cafe.

Although I'd rebel against a tax for entering a PARK, i must say it's worth it. WC with hot water, a lot of light installations, two subway/u-bahn stations in close proximity, a lot of wildlife, different gardens and overall a calm and beautiful place, not ruined by night gangs of teens.

The LWL Industrial Museum Zollern is a preserved 19-20th century coal mine, now functioning as a museum for visitors to explore. The site boasts an art nouveau building portal, original machinery displays and the opportunity to climb one of the green towers used to pull up carts with coal. While most exhibits are only available in German, it is still worthwhile for non-native speakers to visit. The museum is particularly engaging for children and offers an adult ticket price of five units.
A great facility with very well prepared information for young and old. All age groups get their money's worth here. There is so much to experience and touch! Well done!! …

It was almost good, the industry enthusiast in me loved every bit of machinery I could see. The only problem was that there wasn't any guide or writing in English, and for us being an international tourists, with barely good German, we couldn't understand what was mostly written about the machines, or the medical bay that was shown.

The museum is well prepared. You can see real materials, walk through the installations and read explanations of how daily life was. It is possible to walk up in one of the towers being able to contemplate a nice view.
They have a few guided tours per day explaining different things. We could watch a mechanical model of the coal mines, really cool.

"The Castle of labor" As they call themself, is a 19-20th century coal mine preserved for these days, whole facility is a one big museum. Adult ticket is 5€, you can climb to one of green towers that were used to pull up the carts with coal. Really big attention to kids, but sadly as most of the things are only in German, but still is worth to check out. The Zeche Zollern II/IV (translated: Zollern II/IV Colliery) is located in the northwestern suburb of Bövinghausen of Dortmund, Germany. The Gelsenkirchener Bergwerks-AG projected Zollern in 1898 as a model colliery. The “mansion of labour” is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and impressive testimonies to Germany's industrial history. Ground up construction began in 1898 on a new site. Most of the buildings of the colliery were built in solid brickwork by the architect Paul Knobbe and were completed in 1904 with the central engine house, in which the most up-to-date generators and machinery used in the colliery were housed. The architecture and state-of-the-art technology support the transition of Gothic-revival to Art Nouveau and the industrialization of the early 1900s. Due to deadline pressure, the central engine house was built in iron framework construction with infilling of red brickwork, planned and executed by the Gutehoffnungshütte. The Art Nouveau styled main entrance was designed by the Berlin architect Bruno Möhring, it shows a lead glazing of blue, green and-glass. Counterpart of the main entrance is the big control board of polished marble in brass mounting, with a brass clock hanging from above. Other buildings on the site include administration bureaus, blacksmith's shop and carpenter's shop, first-aid and fire station with stable, pithead baths, tools store and the central gateway. The museum is an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

This is a place to feel history. The guides really take you back a century to a time when worker rights were non existent. If a miner was badly injured his buddy's would take him back down the shaft, because if he didn't die on the premises the insurance didn't have to pay. Hear the noise of the machines feel the toil. In pursuit of money and a technology that has now brought the planet on the brink of disaster.

Look out for jewelry/accessories) and staff who are always happy to greet you ^^
So if you like second-hand goods with fair prices and browsing, this is the right place for you! Furthermore, the concept of the shop is based on renting compartments and clothes hangers, so that you can also resell your old treasures (which explains the wide range of products)!

Dortmund Zoo is a lush animal park that houses a diverse range of approximately 250 species, predominantly from South America. It charges $19 for two adults and four children to enter. Although some areas are currently under construction, the zoo remains a splendid destination for families with enjoyable activities for both parents and children alike.
This zoo is very nice! For €7,50 per adult and free parking in October the price is really low.
The majority of people says this zoo is small but I disagree and think this zoo is actually pretty large. A lot of well made habitats, however I do have to agree that some look like they could use a little attention. But this zoo is based on naturalism, so I think it’s fine.
A lot of opportunities to see animals from up close and take good photos. Also some (very )special species, like the black jaguar, clouded leopard and red panda.
If you want to you can spend the whole day here, there’s enough to watch. Most of the animals are very active, unlike in many other zoo’s where the majority of the animals are sleeping.
The only negatives were the constructions, which made it impossible to see some animals. Also, the animal information in mainly only German and mostly cash only payments at food stands.
But overall, especially for the price this park is very good! There were also very little people, al though we did visit on a Monday.

The zoo is located just near the Hacheny station and is accessible easily with U Bahn. No instructing brochure or map. A selection variety of animals. In my opinion, most not kept in optimal condition. It can be a good and instructive day for the kids though. Restaurants, Cafe and WC available. The highlight of the zoo are Rhinos and the Urangutans. I personally am not a fan of or pro zoos. We keep other creatures in captivity with cruelty. It should be really heartbreaking for the animals behind the fences to see that the other birds fly in and out the fences freely.

Did not know what to expect before we went, and was pleasantly surprised by what we got to see for the price ee paid.
Sadly some animals were not in their habitat because of construction projects.
Disclaimer: don't expect a premium zoo.

A complete failure. no information about the fact that you can't pay by card, after waiting 20 minutes in the queue, where, of course, there are two open ones out of 4, the lady happily states that they only accept some German EC card. I wish there was an ATM at the entrance, but no, it's a 2km walk from the entrance to the zoo. Parking, of course, also pays only in cash, it's the 21st century!

Wow, we are very impressed with how well the enclosures have been taken care of. The animals looked healthy, and relaxed. The zoo itself was also very clean. There is a nice bird collection and the mom orang-utan with the newborn stole the show for us. A rare sight. The entrance price is also very nice.
The zookeepers are also very nice and love to tell you about the animals that they work with.
Would definitely recommend to visit this zoo!

Nice large zoo with friendly staff. 3€ parking fee that has to be paid with cash. Some free parking space further away. Map is included in price. Feeding times are naturally the best time to visit. There are few small places to eat. We visited Indian style place. Portions were large and pretty good. Worth visiitin. Child friendly.

I loved this zoo, not too big, but very nice, in the middle of a beautiful park. There are some very interesting animals like tapir, ant-eater and rhinos. All of these just at arm's length. Outside of the zoo there is a n astonishing beautiful botanical garden. Really enjoyed it and recommend

Very clean and modern facility. Friendly staff. No wifi. One suggestion. At various breweries in the states, there are board games/outdoor games/playing cards and puzzles that definitely facilitate people engaging with each other a little more diversly and expand on the "community vibe".
Just a suggestion if that isn't something you all have by now. Either way, Danke! Go BVB!
The Florianturm is a 720-ft. tall telecommunications tower that provides stunning panoramic views of Dortmund from two observation decks. Unfortunately, only one elevator is currently operational and the café on the upper floors has been closed for several years. Additionally, the binoculars placed there are broken and do not offer any view despite coins being thrown into them.
It's a pretty big amusement park with lots of activities, you should also use the "small" train because you can see how big the park is and get off at different stations. You should definitely drive Florian Tower,

Loved the view, loved the place.
I am not sure if I was lucky or not. The weather was so bad, wind, rain, and fog, that I couldn't take a proper pictures and the view wasn't clear.
But totally worth it.

The Florianturn is situated in a large park with costs €4 to enter per person. If you want to go up to the top of the TV tower it costs €3 per person but we'll worth it for the views all around Dortmund. Once you are in the park there are lovely long walks, great place to take the kids for a day out as there are a few play area,s dotted around, or even for picnic, the beautifully kept gardens are lovely to see. There is also a small train that will take you all around the garden, also the have a cable car if you would prefer take you across it, not sure what they charge for them as we didn't use them. There is also a lovely restaurant to stop of for a lovely lunch, the prices are reasonable. Easy access to all toilet areas for those who have a disability.
The DASA Working World Exhibition is a contemporary museum that offers interactive displays showcasing the history, present and future of work. One of the highlights of the exhibition is an amazing construction playground that kids will surely enjoy. The other parts of the exhibit are also entertaining with a variety of unique and playful displays that allow children to try them out. Among these displays, there is a Kuka Robot which demonstrates the exceptional speed and precision that factory robots possess.
I never cease to amaze how cool the Germans present galleries, museums, etc. Here you can find answers to all professions and how everything works. A lot of interactive things. Cool for adults and children. You will stay there for at least 3 hours🔥

The DASA exhibition was great fun for our son, just because of the awesome construction playground in the middle of the exhibition. Besides being there for most of our stay, we also had fun with the other parts of the exhibition. There where things we hadn’t seen in a while and our son had never seen. A lot of things were playfully made, so kids could try them out. What most impressed us, was the Kuka Robot, that showed the speed and precision of factory robots. If you have kids it’s a full recommendation. ✌🏼✌🏿

One of the best sights in Dortmund! Dasa is a truly unique museum dedicated to the various different kinds of jobs. It is a big museum with a free entry! There are exhibits about pilots, machinery, production, relax, etc. Moreover, kids seem to love it. The main attraction in my opinion is the production robot which executes commands and sort of dances! I haven't seen anything like it, it is truly unique. I will definitely remember it. Dasa's only disadvantage is it's terrible location. It is far away from the city but it's still manageable. Overall, a must-see museum in Dortmund!

The most underrated attraction in Dortmund. This place is full of amazing interactive exhibition items including a flight simulator and a letterpress. Almost everything in the museum you can touch or play with! I spent about 2 hours here and it was definitely not enough time to explore it all. It's all in German but luckily I had a German friend with me to translate. I think without him I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much because there's lots of interesting info you miss out on.

A little hidden gem! My friend and I stumbled across this place on our roadtrip, and we were surprised by how well the castle remains are preserved. The market is very nice and the jousting games are very nice. The weather was very wet so mud formed very quickly. You should wear rubber boots!!!!
The dealers were great. Great activities for children. Unfortunately, food and drink are totally overpriced. They sell a soda, which is just lemon juice concentrate with water and sweetener, for €3 200ml 🤯🤬
Luckily, there were other dealers worth mentioning.
Vermünst and zusäget were super friendly and the work was great. I bought his pendant and a ring there. I love her. They make jewelry from old coins and the best thing to watch is.
Or Lady Sophie's witch's cauldron, she was very knowledgeable about smoked products and gave me great advice as a newcomer. So I was able to own various smoked products and a cast iron kettle after visiting the stand.
The security was very friendly and helpful.

Mittelaltermarkt auf der Hohensyburg bei Dortmund.
Der Markt ist sehr schön und die Ritterspiele sehr nett gemacht. Das Wetter war sehr Nass so das sich sehr schnell Matsch bildete. Man sollte Gummistiefel anziehen!!!!

The Brewery-Museum Dortmund is a small, yet fascinating exhibit showcasing the history of beer brewing in Dortmund. Located in an industrial-style space, guests can admire brewery machinery, posters, and bottles dating back over 100 years. While it may be most appealing to German beer enthusiasts or those familiar with the brewing process, all visitors can enjoy learning about this unique aspect of Dortmund's history. The museum is free to enter and is not typically overcrowded.
Absolutely a Must experience for a beer lover! A lot of history and A free to visit museum if your road is near to Dortmund. Easy to come .

Although I'm not the craziest beer lover, I enjoyed the museum. Everything was in German, which I don't understand. So, I used Google Translator to understand labels and other written texts.
There are guides in other days and beer tasting is available. So, definitely check their website and make a reservation in advance. Without a reservation the entrance is free and there is no tasting, although you can buy souvenirs and/or beer from their shop at the reception.
The museum contains the history of beer industry in Westphalian region in the 19th and 20th century, including individual producers, production processes, consumer habits, technological advancements and much more.
Spent 1.5 hours inside and enjoyed the museum.

I feel as if this is an overlooked gem in Dortmund. I went with two friends and we were the only three in the museum the entire time. The museum is free and the history and memorabilia in it is really fascinating. When I was there, there was a man who worked for the brewery when it was still producing beer and he told us all about the museum and answered any questions we had. If you have a free gap of time and are looking for something to do, take a quick u-Bahn to this museum and check it out.

The people here are so nice and warm. The museum tour is free. Though everything is mentioned in German, the lady at the counter would give you a three page English booklet which guides you through the museum. You can ofcourse Google translate a lot of the descriptions. There is a short movie available with English subtitles which draws a good precise of the history of Breweries in Dortmund. After an hour long tour, don't miss the beer for ein Euro at the exit. This place should be in the top 10 list of Dortmund.

The Kokerei Hansa is a museum located in a former coking plant dating back to 1928. It offers guided tours showcasing the history of the site and its significance in industrial technology. The coal tower is one of the highlights, providing panoramic views of the surrounding area. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, visitors can explore the site for free without guided tours. This abandoned industrial site has been repurposed into a fascinating museum, attracting enthusiasts of urban exploration and photography alike.
I love abandoned industrial sites even when they are turned into museums. Due to Covid, there are no guided tours, but you can wander there on your own for free. The remnants of the plant look super cool: they are huge, old, rusty - perfect for fallout lovers. =)

Very impressive and beautiful place! Due to renovations, you can only see half of the entire site at the moment, but it's still definitely worth a visit if you're nearby! You can park for free and also see everything for free. There are also free toilets. There are two vending machines for drinks and snacks. It was my first time at the Hansa coke factory and was pleasantly surprised. First of all, admission is free. However, you can book a guided tour for €5. A lot of things are still being repaired or maintained right now so there are construction sites in the field right now. It doesn't reduce everything though. There is still much to discover and see. I think it's definitely worth a visit. He will come again when everything is ready.

Visiting such a plant is surely an acquired taste.
Would’ve been ideal if the plant had information [signs] dotted around the plant - there’s one at the entrance and then nowhere else.
Also half the plant is currently being renovated or repaired - so it was a rather short visit.

Free of charge with a very helpful gent at the kiosk. Despite only being able to access a smallish part of the plant there is so much to look at, we could have been there all day. The place is huge with some massive industrial machinery and processing equipment structures. Despite being managed, it has maintained it's look and feel of an abandoned monster, complete with rust, peeling paint, overgrown nature reclaiming areas etc. If you usually like a bit of urban exploring or abandoned engineering, you'll get a lot out of a visit here.
Samantha Gordon - Formerly Mellor — Google review
When my girlfriend put together our itinerary for a weekend trip to Dortmund, I was skeptical at the prospect of a visit to an old industrial coke plant. Hell, I didn't even know what (this kind of) coke was! Needless to say, my expectations were exceeded.
We had a fascinating tour of the place led by a man who used to work the plant and had an intimate knowledge of its history and operation. It was a unique glimpse into a bygone era when Germany was almost unrecognizable to those only familiar with its present state. The tour was extensive (>2 hours!) but left me wanting to learn more about the process and history of coal processing (my interest level had previously been near 0).
My favorite thing was seeing where nature was reclaiming the factory grounds, with layers of soil covering rail tracks and platforms, already sprouting trees that have grown for a few years. It was a unique and memorable experience.
Two caveats if you're considering a visit. First, I don't think the tour is available in English. I speak fluent Dutch, which is close enough to German that I understood about 80% of what was said, but I don't think our guide spoke enough English to give a tour in it or translate the more technical words. Secondly, this tour is mostly outside, so I wouldn't recommend it on a rainy day or in super cold weather. It involves moderately vigorous activity (lots of walking, stairs, and a really long and steep ramp) and goes into lots of places built long before people were concerned with accessibility. A couple of people on our tour were in their 60's and in good shape, and they handled it fine, but I could imagine it being challenging for some.

Very nice mall, many varieties, good quality & good brands.. the only concern is the parking!! If we spend around 3 hours in the mall we have to pay around 5 euros for the parking!! It's good if we can validate our parking tickets in any outlet in the mall if we buy for 50€ for example, so you can increase the footfall in your mall and customers can spend more time if they want to eat and do some shopping! (Just an idea).
Good luck!

This place is definitely a must if you're visiting Dortmund. Once a famous brewery, this building from the 1920s has not only survived the massive bombing campaign of WWII, but also the sands of time. After the brewery closed, this landmark was reinvented and revamped to become an art galley, music club, bar and restaurant - there's always something going on here. Even if you just take the journey up to the rooftop terrace to take in the stunning views of the city and beyond, you will not be disappointed 😁

The Museum of Art and Cultural History showcases human creativity throughout history, displaying items from antiquity to modern times. Admission to the regular exhibit is free, providing a tour of Dortmund's evolution from the stone age to present day. The museum boasts an interesting collection of art, which can be appreciated by wandering through its exhibitions. Visitors are recommended to allocate ample time for exploring all that the museum has to offer. The staff are friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant experience overall.
Absolutely great museum! Entry to the regular exhibition is free (at least on Sunday) at it takes you on a tour through the ages and tells a story about how Dortmund and the area around it evolved throughout the ages, starting from the stone age, all the way up to modern day Dortmund. It is great to wander through the museum and admire some of the art on display.

Spitzenklasse, mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen
Steinwache, a former police station located across from the Hauptbahnhof, was taken over by the Gestapo in 1933 and became known as "the Hell of West Germany." Initially used to imprison communists and social democrats, it later held thousands of forced laborers from Eastern Europe on false charges. The museum's exhibits are only in German, but visitors can use a free booklet for information.
The presentation is only in German, however, the museum has a (free) booklet that you can walk around with that highlights the information in each room. We also used Google Translate on some information that was not in the booklet that we wanted to understand. The museum is free, definitely worth a visit and hopefully, soon, it will become more known about. While we were there, we saw, maybe, another 8 people. We viewed just about everything, so we were there over 2 1/2 hours. The staff of two men, on the day we were there, were helpful and friendly. One of them stated he had lived in Dortmund for 30 years and didn't know this place existed until he went to work there. We've been in Dortmund at least 10 times and didn't know this existed either. The entrance is behind Steinstrasse, through the courtyard on the left, right behind the white gate wall.
Please understand that it is difficult to rate a place that has a horrific history, as excellent. This is based on the presentation & encounters with staff.

The entry was free of charge. Not a lot of artefacts but a lot of pictures and all the explanations were in German but there were brochures in different languages offered at the reception that explained each room in detail.

Worth coming here for the story. It gives the full context of the rise of power of the Nazi s and how they surpressed their opposition. The rooms are not written in English but you can ask for a booklet at the entrance, still doesn't give you all the details that you need but it sets you in the right direction. The entrance is not very obvious and feels more like a government building. Someone made a really good recommendation to use Google translate to translate things that are written down so that was really helpful. Overall it is an interesting place for history buffs and for those that have the patience to read. I saw there was a tour conducted in the building in German, so for a better experience, finding a tour might be an interesting experience and someone to give more context.

An interesting former Gestapo museum. Small but interesting. Exhibitions only in German language. Very hard to find, behind hbf, but front entrance still hard to locate (in a courtyard behind white gates

Very interesting to visit. Sadly, the information is only in German. It’s free to visit. I recommend dropping by. There is no visit fee. The entrance is in the back of the building.
