Odongdo is a picturesque island located near Yeosu Expo that can be accessed by a bridge. The island boasts of an observation deck that offers stunning views and is known for its beautiful camellia blooms and bamboo groves. Visitors can explore the well-built boardwalk around the island which takes about an hour to complete, with several viewpoints offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. One can also visit the lighthouse or enjoy sunrise views from designated spots on the island.
A small island connected by a road that's perfect for a short hike. The walk towards the island is not long but you can also take a transport there.
The island is famous for blooming with with red camellia flowers. I was lucky enough to see the first few buds blooming. At the end of the hiking trail on the island, there is a cave which is known to be a home of a dragon.
There were clean toilets along the hike and shops to buy snacks as well.

Beautiful little island near Yeosu Expo. Connected to the mainland by a walkway. Takes about an hour to fully explore the island which has well built boardwalk. There are many viewpoints along the way. The views are good. There is a lighthouse but unfortunately it was closed when we visited. There is a sunrise view point as well. The place is also famous for colonies of camellia flowers found on the island.

Recommended tourist destination- Yeosu Night Sea
This is a beautiful sea. Especially at night, it is more beautiful. Many people visit here. So I got a song called Yeosu Night Sea. You can take a cruise to see the sea. But you can't swim. I want everyone to go there once in a while. I recommended you to go when you feel stuffy or tired.

Nice walking track with great views back to Yeosu harbour. Wonderful all year round.
The Yeosu Cable Car Dolsan Station is a cableway that connects the mainland and Dolsan Island, providing stunning panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. While some may opt for the crystal cable car, which can have long queues, it is not necessarily worth it as the regular cable car offers a fast entry without any waiting time. The location of the cable car provides easy access to Odongdo island and other attractions in the area.
15000 won per adult for a round trip, definitely worth the price! Amazing views. They open at 0930 and we got a car by ourselves because the line was very short. The lines were much longer in the evenings.

Gives you a perfect view of the sea from floor if you get into the crystal cabin... best time to go before sunset so you can enjoy the beautiful view .

Beautiful view! From the way to the cable car to the platform on top everything is gorgeous. A very long cable car to see the full panorama. Cute stores and souvenirs at the top too, and you can buy the famous Yeosu strawberry motchi there don't miss out!

It's nice and has a nice view. Getting the crystal cable car is probably not worth it. A lot of people choose to get the crystal one so it has quite a queue. The normal one doesn't have a queue so it's fast to get in.
The cable car is in a nice location. you can access Odongdo island and other attractions in the area. The view is pretty, I reccomend to go in the evening so you can see the day view and the night view with all the lights

A great way to see Yeosu, South Korea at night, but don’t go there too late since it will be too dark to see the scenic ocean and surrounding. Also, think about if you want to do a round trip ride, which we eventually decided wasn’t worth.
Buying tickets at the kiosk was easy and quite affordable at this popular touristy landmark. A lot to see across the other side and a couple of places to get drinks and take selfies.
We got there around 7:00~7:30 pm, but wished we arrived there a bit earlier… couldn’t see much when it got too dark. Overall, a nice experience on a cable car over Yeosu.

Dont miss this chance, Try to book the ticket early or reach there early if you are travelling in summer. Its one among the crowded place in Yeosu. Great place to start a trip in Yeosu! For Photographer this round trip cable car ride gives great vantage point for some amazing shots.
at the other side they have nice park. Restaurant you can even spend a day there.

Really awesome experience. It is a cable car that goes over the ocean right by Yeosu city. It wasn't busy at all the day I went so was easily able to get a car to ourselves. They also have cars called the crystal car which allows you to see below your feet through glass. I did not get that but if I was to go again I would definitely want that experience.

Went in the evening and the views were awesome. The crosswinds made the ride nice and comfortable. There is a bluetooth enabled speaker in the cable car so you can play music through your phone while riding but the speaker quality was sketchy.

Yi Sun-Sin Square in Yeosu, South Korea, is a popular tourist destination that pays tribute to the legendary naval commander Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The square features a statue of Yi Sun-sin and his famous Turtle Ship, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about his heroic achievements. Situated near the coast, the square provides stunning views of the sea and serves as an ideal location to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of Yeosu.

Very cute area, in a main section of the city, surrounded by night views of the bay and hills. It had a ton of little streets and alleyways that are probably much busier during the summer and warmer times but were a little sparse in November. Go check out the mugwort ice cream and pizza baguette shop for an interesting snack while you walk along the waterfront.
Yeosu Fish Market holds historical significance as the birthplace of the famous 'Geobukseon' and offers an array of fresh seafood. Visitors can enjoy a variety of sashimi at lower prices compared to restaurants, accompanied by a refreshing sip of beer. The market allows patrons to select their seafood from the first floor and have it cooked at a restaurant on the second floor. While language barriers may exist, communication is facilitated through gestures, calculators, and translation tools.
Great selection of any kind of fish and sea food. Dried, fresh, raw, life - anything you wish. Prices are mostly also attractive.

Many fresh seafood there, but I don't like Korean way to cook seafood, and upstair restaurant do not provide any food out of grilled fish, so not eat there
Ricky Chung — Google review
Ate here yesterday: fish and sides were delicious. Ice cold soju, Charm Fresh.
The fish tanks are as seen in the photos posted by others; yes, they do NOT hawk at you (which makes no difference to us).
The choices of fish and sea creatures is the same as in Busan or in Pohang or other markets in seaside towns. The preparations and dining are upstairs in separate smallish dining rooms (the fish vendor links you to the dining room they partner with by number (1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or so on).
The presentations are like other fish markets I mentioned; the tastes are about the same. The spicy fish stew here was good: the fish seller left a little more meat on the bones so that the stew actually had some fish in it (usually it almost all just bones).
The side dishes and prep charged 5,000KRW per person on 25 FEB 2024. Spicy fish stew was 10,000; Soju was 5,000 per bottle; Rice is 1,000 per person. These things are increasing in cost at all the fish markets since COVID diminished.
The upstairs dining rooms are quiet, almost boring, compared to the tables on the market floor level at Pohang and Tongyeong fish markets, but they are nicer for family dinners and conversation without shouting.
I think at these fish markets people need to understand that the old prices are not coming back: my companions kept saying it was expensive. If you go for fresh sashimi or Korean beef in good restaurants then you should just understand that its expensive and disregard worrying your brain over the price: its the experience that we go for. Otherwise, just go get jiegae and bap and some local shop and take pleasure in having kept your money in your pocket.

Great place for those who love fresh seafood.
Pick seafood at L1 and bring to the restaurant at L2 for cooking.
Stall & restaurant owners speak limited English. We communicated through hand gesture, using calculator and Google translator.
1 palm size fresh abalone, 0.5 kg fresh scallops and 1 whole fish cost KRW28,000 for 2 pax . We had it by sashimi, boiled and spicy soup.
Cooking fee was KRW5,000 per pax and spicy soup KRW10,000
Will definitely come back again when I next visit Yeosu.

Dolsan Park is a vast park located in Yeosu that boasts a teahouse and cable cars, and is particularly famous for its stunning panoramic nighttime views. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, this park remains popular among visitors who can enjoy the scenery at various seating areas. It takes around two hours to fully explore the island without rushing. For an even more breathtaking experience, one can opt for the cable car ride which offers unparalleled views of Yeosu's bay area.

If you walk up a little bit, you can see the beautiful night sea view of Yeosu. There are many famous restaurants nearby, so I think it would be good to take a walk there for exercise after you have dinner. However, on weekend evenings, the traffic around here is very heavy due to tourists, so please refer it.

Aqua Planet Yeosu is an aquarium featuring big fish and shark tanks, beluga whale shows, feeding demonstrations, and touch pools. The entrance fee is 59,000 won but there are occasional promotions for couples. The aquarium has various well-designed sections and shows that make the price worth it if visitors take their time to enjoy everything. Although some of the aquariums may be too small for bigger animals, overall it is a nice place to visit as a one-time experience.
I had an amazing experience at Yeosu Aqua Planet! The sheer variety of sea species on display is mind-blowing. From colorful fish to mesmerizing marine creatures, this place is a marine enthusiast's dream. The exhibits are well-maintained, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. But for that price it was very well worth it. The different sections of aquarium and the different shows as well as the decoration/lay out was very well designed.

Yeosu Ocean Rail Bike is a 3.5-km rail bike track that provides riders with panoramic views of the beautiful coastline. The ride itself is not challenging, although the return trip involves a slight uphill climb, making it slightly more difficult than the first half. Despite potentially crowded conditions, everyone travels at a similar pace so there are no major concerns regarding safety.
When you stay in Yeosu you have to come to take a ride at the rail bike! It is very funny to ride along the old tracks and you have a very good view over the sea right next to it.
I have been there very early, so there were not many other people which was perfect. It was not exhausting by any means.
The only downside in my opinion is the relatively high price. I thought the tracks would be longer and we paid 13k for one person.

While in Yeosu, South Korea, our tour guide suggested this beach and he said the sand will be quite warm if not hot.
Once we arrived, we took off our shoes and started to walk on the beach barefooted and he was right - the course sand and pebbles were hot, but therapeutic on a nice clear, breezy day.
Other than that, the tour guide suggested a few cafe/coffee shops to cool down. All in all, we were in that area for about 45 minutes.

Not gravel... not dirt... something in between? About haha
It's not like the sea is pretty or the scenery is beautiful.
Isn’t black sand just special? Like this? Haha
I don't think it's a place worth visiting, it's just that there are places like this.
