Shkodra Lake, located in Montenegro, is a vast freshwater lake that boasts of an array of native wildlife along with a small island that houses a medieval monastery. The lake offers panoramic views and visitors can take a boat ride to explore the surroundings. Additionally, Skadar Lake National Park is just 30 minutes away from Cetinje and makes for an excellent off-the-beaten-path experience where one can witness the wetlands of Montenegro.
Amazing lake! So beautiful and there are lots of activities you can do around it. We did stand up paddling for 5 hours and I totally recommend it.

Amazing place, you can easily spend 1 week around this lake. Visiting villages, sleeping on the beach, enjoying views, watching birds and animals or rent a boat. Better to stay here and enjoy calm nice atmosphere and reasonable prices than go to the overcrowded coastline.

Shkodra lake stretches between Albania and Montenegro. Is an amazing place for birdwatching and with fabulouse flora and fauna. Take e boat ride for approximatelly Euro 10 per person, and enjoy the magestic mountains in the surrounding and particullarly the castle of Rozafa. While there, visit one of many restaurant along the lake's banks. Some have terraces that go over the water.

One of my favourite places in Montenegro. The view is absolutely stunning, you have to see by yourself! We did canoe in the lake, the best way to be so close with it. When you’re in the middle of the lake, the quietness and peacefulness can hardly be described.

The views from the castle and especially Sarisalltik mountain were amazing. Thanks to our tour guide as he was very knowledgeable about the culture and history of the area and was friendly which made our lives easier during the tour. One of the best for bird spotting. I have visited this place before and must congratulate for uplifting the restaurants and cafes around also that there are good roads from Shkoder to Shiroka to cycle and that’s what loads of people do early mornings. Well done for spirit of community doing so. The night life is something else over there, kind of loud type, but hey if I don’t like, others do, right. The Place is majestic if I can put it in words and should be more look after. And yes, what a lovely, delightful lunch by the lake.

Very spectacular place, but in order to enjoy its beauty you need to drive on car by a narrow mountain road, which is little bit dangerous (( still it is worth it!
You can also take a boat excursion by lake and swim as well, but all those photos I've added here were taken while driving by serpentinous road. You can even see сщфыедшту ща Albania across the lake, as it is situated in two countries Montenegro and Albania.

The Orthodox Cathedral of Christ's Resurrection is a modern and striking church featuring intricate stonework and an opulent interior adorned with gilded frescoes. Notably, there is a controversial fresco depicting Marx, Engels, and Tito burning in hell. The cathedral also showcases numerous depictions of Bulgarian and Serbian orthodox saints on its walls and roof. Located at the heart of the city, it is a must-visit for anyone interested in magnificent architecture and traditional religious artistry.
Outstanding church and typically having an abundance of frescoes. This one though contains the controversial Marx, Engels and Tito burning in hell fresco. It has to be seen. I'm told that some people here are all for this depiction while others are very much against it. You decide for yourself.

The amazing interior of this church is breathtaking. The main chandelier is beautiful and reminds me of many churches in Istanbul. Iconography is dominant and well preserved. I wonder if it really helps pilgrims to meet with resurrect Jesus when they come to worship, or is it an obstacle to true worship, forcing their thoughts and prayers towards patron saints instead to the living Son of God .

It is located in the western part of the city, and as far as I understand, the new city has been built here. I had read that there was a debate among the locals about its suitability as an Orthodox church, but it was a pleasant visit for tourism purposes. We happened to witness a wedding ceremony when we visited, and observing the local people and their traditions was a delightful experience. I recommend visiting it when you are in the city.

From Wikipedia: Construction of the church of around 14,000 square feet began in 1993 to a design by Predrag Ristić. Consecration occurred on October 7, 2013, on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan on freedom of religion, and it was attended by the heads of the Eastern Orthodox Churches, Serbian Patriarch Irinej, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilus III and Russian Patriarch Cyril, together with Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije and other Metropolitanate clerics.
On 1 November 2020, the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral for the thirty years (1990–2020), Amfilohije was, at his own request, buried in the crypt of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, in a resting place prepared for his lifespan.

The Morača River flows through the capital city of Podgorica, offering stunning scenery as it winds through the mountains and Moraca Canyon. The road that follows the canyon is surrounded by beautiful nature and tunnels, showcasing impressive engineering feats accomplished without modern technology. While the road could benefit from better maintenance, it still provides breathtaking views of untouched landscapes. Despite heavy traffic passing through, visitors can find rest stops to appreciate the incredible natural beauty along this ancient route.
Extra ordinary canyon with great dimensions and views, crystal clear water, highly recommend to visit early in spring or autumn. Complicated arrival by car fom Most Pjenavac, try access from

What a beautiful and scenic lake. The water here is so clear and blue, and the beautiful rocks that surround the lake are great to sit on. There was almost no shade so keep that in mind, and try not to get too close to the trees since there are a ton of mosquitoes there. Keep this in mind and you will have a great time here. The lake is not crowded at all and it's so quiet here that it makes a fantastic place to rest.

Tours can be arranged in different languages.
There is also a wine shop at the spot where you can buy certain wines that you won’t find nowhere else! They as producers ~ have wide selection here & if you love wine, you will definitely enjoy your visit! Additionally: if you love PLANTAŽE wines, you should visit their wineyards!

Very fair and reasonable prices!
One interesting fact:
PLANTAŽE owns one of the largest vineyards in Europe with over 2,310 ha (23 km2) surface, covered with more than 11 million grapevines!

The Vladimir Vysotsky Monument is a statue dedicated to the memory of the famous Russian singer, songwriter, and actor. The monument stands tall in Moscow and serves as a symbol of Vysotsky's contributions to Russian culture. It was designed by sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov and unveiled in 1996. The bronze statue depicts Vysotsky holding a guitar while standing on top of a rock, representing his rugged individualism and rebellious spirit.

It’s a wonderful place to go running, walking, cycling, or just general adventuring. There are many trails both paved and unpaved to explore for many kilometers of fun. The atmosphere is relaxed and people are generally friendly. Most the trails have tree coverage, shade, benches, and even work out equipment for pull-ups, Pilates, climbing, and more. The cafe is open early and closes late so you can always enjoy a nice coffee our some snacks while here with the family. The busiest times are in the evening or early afternoons around 3-5pm. Mornings before 9am are calm and great for running.

Lungs of Podgorica as it is called locally. Nice and quiet place to take walk, run, bike ride or dogwalk. There is also place where you can take your coffee or meal. Easy to middle ascent circle paved paths are on the top of this hill. It is 130m above sea level so it is above urban pollution, top of it can be windy, but not terrible. There is 5-6 km of paths. There is also monument to the Partisan fighters, memorial tomb of fallen heros from WW2, the legacy of the Communism.

The Dajbabe Monastery, a Serbian Orthodox Christian monastery established in 1897, is situated within a cave on the Dajbabe hill. Despite its significance as an important landmark, there are no signs leading to it from Podgorica and one must navigate through narrow suburban roads. The exterior of the modern-looking house belies the impressive catacombs within which hold a great deal of history.

The Dajbabe Monastery was dedicated to the Assumption of Mother Mary. The monastery was founded in 1897. In the beginning, only the space of the cave was used as a sanctuary, with the plan to be expanded later with chapels. The visible part of the church is situated outside the cave, depicting a spacious entrance porch with two belfries. The Dajbabe Monastery also possesses a reliquary with the relics of St. Simeon of Dajbabe.

From Podgorica there are no signs to this monastry whatsoever. You get there with narrow suburban road and there is nothing along the road that indicates an important landmark is nearby. Once there a house among hundreds of olive trees emerges, looking quite modern and uninteresting. Inside however there are impressive catacombs that hide a lot of history. A guy working in a shop was polite enough to give us 15-minute history lesson of the place.

Monastery Dajbabe is located near Podgorica and is dedicated to Holy Mother of God. The monastery is situated on hill in the village of the same name and has a very interesting history.
The monastery interior is buried in the ground, and its interior space is made up of caves.
In the monastery are the remains of the saint Simeon Dajbabski.
There is a legend about how the monastery was made.
In 1890 a Saint came to a boy and told him to move with the sheeps, because he stands on a holy place, and that in one cave there were his relics and remains.
He also told him to build a church in that place.
The boy told him that he was orphaned without a father and mother and that he was not able to build a church.
The saint told him to talk about this miracle, which he did. He goes to the monastery Ostrog, and there he met the monk Simeon who believed him.
Simeon came to Dajbabe in 1896., and in a half a year makes Monastery.
The bones of mysterious Saint where never found. But he spoke to Simeon and told him not to search for them, because when the time is right he will show the place of his rest.
It is believed that these are the remains of the monk Ilarion, first bishop in this region.

There is a cave inside that splits into different arms each serving as a chapel.

Low tide let’s you get close to this beautiful little bridge. The water is super clear and it’s suitable for smaller children too. The walk is a little intense and if the weather turns you’ll be able to shelter in a nearby outcrop. It’s the point two rivers meet so after heavy rain the water level can be much higher. The Bridge in Podgorica is the oldest bridge in the city, located at the confluence of Moraca and Ribnica rivers. It was built during the Roman era and underwent restoration funded by the Ottomans in the 18th century. Situated at a central point in the city, you can take a peaceful walk, sit down, and unwind amidst the sounds of chirping birds. A must-visit spot in the city. One end of the bridge leads to the old neighborhood, where I recommend strolling through the streets and also checking out the clock tower.

The Millenium Bridge, a renowned cable-stayed bridge stretching across the Morača River, was constructed in 2005 and is 173 meters long. Located in the heart of Podgorica, this modern and splendid infrastructure serves both vehicles and pedestrians. For an optimal view of the bridge, one can visit the adjacent pedestrian bridge or take a stroll through the surrounding parks. The nocturnal ambiance is especially captivating as colorful lights illuminate the structure while spotlessly clean waters flow underneath it.
One of the attractions of the Podgorica city, a place where Millennium run participants start and finish their races. The Bridge has its functions during the other days. Construction is interesting in terms of how it is made and how it looks. Nice to see it if travel in Podgorica.

Tom Wilson — Google review
The bridge was designed by Marjan Pipenbaher from the Slovenian company Ponting Bridges and Mladen Ulićević, a professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica. It was built by the Slovenian company Primorje, and opened on 13 July 2005, Montenegro's National Day. It quickly became one of the city's most prominent landmarks.
The bridge is 173 metres long, and the pylon soars 57 m above the roadbed. Twelve cables support the roadway deck, while twenty-four more are attached to the counterweights, creating an imposing image.
The construction of the bridge began in 2005, and the building cost was approximately 7 million euros. The roadway carries two lanes of traffic and a pedestrian walkway in each direction. The bridge connects the Boulevard of Ivan Crnojević in the city centre and July 13 street in the new part of city, thus relieving the other congested bridges connecting the city center with the densely populated districts over the Morača river.
A nice site, with a lot of ruined walls. While there is not anything that is a must see, there are a couple of pieces of rumble with latin inscribing as well a head of a goddess.

The only bad thing to mention is the cleanliness of the cages :( Definitely more attention should be applied to that.

Great place to spend time with kids. There are lots of domestic animals. You can buy food for these animals. Ride a pony - 1 euro per circle.
Trampoline is 1 euro per 15 min.
