Livadaki Beach in the north-eastern region of Samos is a hidden gem with stunning natural beauty. This beach offers everything you need for a perfect day by the sea, including kayak rentals, sun loungers, and outdoor snacks. The beach is located in a sheltered bay and has a few restaurants and bars as well. Despite its popularity, Livadaki Beach never feels overcrowded due to its spaciousness.
This place is unreal. It’s so cute and well curated. The food (I’m looking at you club sandwich) and drinks are tasty. But the best part is the free kayak use, cute cabanas, and lots of chairs. It was our favorite beach on Samos.

Well, being honest this is a very nice set-up. Unfortunately, due to the shape of the gulf the water does not change frequently and you will find it a bit dirty. The shower is next to the toilets and smells horrible. Apart from that, you will find a nice bar and get your drinks and comfortable sunbeds. I recommend you try that early morning so you get the best this place has to give. No wi-fi there also.
Nick Koutsandrias — Google review
Perhaps my favourite place on the island, luxurious vibes but free beds and good prices for food. There are all kinds of sunbeds, chic daybeds and amazing spots to relax and watch the sea (swings in the water and small terraces) You can also use the paddle boards without charge. The burger and pitas are nice, the pasta salad is not very interesting. The blueberry vodka spirit drink is my favourite! Will definitely hang out here more often whenever I come back to Samos. Tip: you have to drive a long off-road path to get there so bring a jeep, quad or drive carefully :)

Amazing location and the local beach bar is very well installed. The sea could be better. Because of the wind that most of the time is blowing in the area it is not the cleanest. Other than that definitely recommended.

Nice beach where they serve drinks and snacks. You don't have to pay for sunbeds if you buy food and/or drinks at the residence. The road down to the beach from the main road measures 2,2 km. You need a car to get here. A little bit crowded.
Ida Grøteig — Google review
The beach bar is very good and the staff is very polite and friendly, so if you are more interested in the shop than the sea itself you will enjoy it. The water was not clear because it was windy, Northern wind, and it brought all the rubbish inside the bay and the sand down in the depth was not calm on many spots. You need to go in a day that's not windy at all or not Northern wind at least in order to enjoy the water and the swimming.

Cute pebbles beach, with beach bar that provides all you might need. Sunbeds you can get if you take something from the bar. Enough space to put your own if you prefer.

Amazing beach in a beautiful bay, free access. You only pay for your drinks and food, which is a little expensive. Free sunbeds, seaswing, canoes, toilets and showers. The ground is a mix of stones and sand, but doable without watershoes.
Justine van der Weijden — Google review
The road to the beach is quite nice. Beach is lovely to see. The water is warmer here in comparison with other beaches, but also more polluted. Although there is more sand here I still recommend to bring your water shoes. You can see some fish when you’re snorkelling. The sun beds are really nice here.

Great beach bar, with really nice house music, great ambience and many options for food, including some vegetarian options. The beach itself was great, really looking like a small fjord. Loved it.

A nice beach with a friendly working staff, half of the sunbeds are free of charge.
Mix of Stones and Sand the further you go in the water it will become stone free.
Good beach bar and a nice place to snorkle/dive.
Family friendly.
Only minus is that is pretty small and don't come after 13:00 or you won't have any place to lie down.

Far away beach but it have everything you need to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There is toilet available and also a shower if you need this before you go home. The sunbeds are for free and no questions ask you need to buy anything. Come early as this a very popular beach. The road to the beach is on gravel and a bit dusty so take it easy on the way to the spot

Beautiful beach, with free sunbeds with thick matresses. It wasn't too busy when we visited at the beginning of july. Beautiful blue/turqoise water, wich felt quite warm.
There are still a lot of rocks, so if you have watershoes i recommend taking them with you.
Also we were told that the road to the beach was very rough, but we thought it wasn't bad at all. Just drive as slowly as you need and you will get there in no problem! Really recommend! :)
Lauren van der Wal — Google review
Such a magical place! On the road towards the beach, you will be kept on track by road signs that motivate you to keep going despite the gravel surface. But it so worth the journey!
I can’t tell much about the beach club since all we had was an Aperol Spritz, but it seemed to have enough accommodations for a lot of people & a large variation of seating furniture.
I recommend going in the early afternoon so you can experience a low-hanging sunset.
Located on a clifftop overlooking the sea and Pythagoreio, Panagia Spiliani Monastery is a historic site with a cave chapel that dates back centuries. This monastery, established in 1586, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Turkish coast and the town below. A peaceful ambiance permeates the large cool cave, which can be reached by descending 95 steps from the entrance. The interior of the tiny church within the cave is adorned with religious icons.
A great place to visit if you are in Pythagorio. You can get there by car, it has plenty of parking spaces, but I recommend a good 20-30 min. hike from the port.
It offers a cave that cools you off from the blazing summer sun, a souvenir shop, toilets and a nice belvedere spot to sit down and enjoy the seaview.
Lucian Marin — Google review
When you are in the neighborhood of Pythagoreio you should definitely give this monastery a visit. The atmosphere is really calm and quite. The views over the bay, sea and airport are very nice. The chapel is located in a cave and is really peaceful. I would say a visit is worthwhile when you are in the neighborhood or combined with other sites in the surrounding area. There are two public toilets but one was out of order and the other had no toilet paper. That was quite annoying.

There is a cave for prayers, nice views of Pythagoreio city. You can go there dirty road with some incline.

The reasons to visit here are the view and the cave. The monastery and chapel are nice too. The view is breathtaking. You can view a large portion of the south side of the island from here. The cave is very impressive. The water from the holy spring runs across the ceiling of the cave, giving it a special atmosphere.

We walked a 3 mile circuit from our Zorbas Hotel this cool clear morning. The quiet road has a gentle incline, passing a Hellenistic Villa and aqueduct ruins on the way to the 6th C BC Tunnel of Eupalinos. After viewing its opening, we backtracked up to this monastery founded in 1586 which was free to enter. Passing the courtyard tower, we saw the chapel then descended into the beautiful lighted cave-grotto to its pretty blue chapel. Researchers claim it was a place of worship since ancient times. Back outside near the WC at the old supported pine, we found wonderful views to the town castle, the Roman baths and airport. Returning, we stopped to see the Roman theater and its 4th C BC arched cavern behind the stage. Perfect exercise with great scenery and part of the 1992 UNESCO Pythagorein and Heraion of Samos.

Beautiful monastery with fantastic views of Pythagoreio. Make sure you check out the church within the cave, which might be the hiding and teaching place of Pythagoras, the famous mathematician from Samos.
You can drive to the top or walk from the main town in 30 mins.

Very beautiful place. Nice view over the ocean and the city of Pythagoreio. I would strongly recommend that you go see this little pearl. Such a lovely view and a little cave where you can light a candle, make a wish and make a prayer if you're into that.
It is high above the ocean, be prepared that you'll have to drive at small roads with heavy incline.
foodbymilbo — Google review
Nice place, nice temperatures in the cave.
Once you have climbed the hill to the monastery, you then descend 95 steps to the cave dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Παναγία, Panagia, All holy). We are informed that the cave is man made, excavated in ancient times as a quarry for the stone used as building material for the city and its walls.
Despite being an artificial grotto, a spring and the remains of an ancient temple discovered here indicate that this was a sacred place in antiquity. It has been suggested that it may have been inhabited by the Samian Sibyl (σίβυλλα, prophetess) Phyto (also referred to as Phemonoe or Foito), and that it was the Cave of Pythagoras (although another cave on Samos also claims this). The water of a pool in the cave, known as the Agiasma (Αγίασμα, Holy Water), is considered to be holy by Christians.
A church was built here in Byzantine times, and later a monastery. The cave contains a famous icon of the Virgin believed to have miraculous properties.
The cave was used by local people as a place of refuge during times of danger, of which Samos has seen many.
Monks no longer live here,.

The Potami Waterfalls on Samos Island's northeast coast are a popular tourist attraction. Children and adults alike enjoy visiting these beautiful falls, which can be reached by following the road west from Karlovassi towards the harbour. After passing the pristine Potami Beach, visitors will come across a forest and lake, followed by a series of waterfalls. The scenic walk along the river offers an adventurous experience through the forest until reaching the waterfall itself.
Grate experience. First Walk is easy. Than to see the waterfall you need to swim or climb up to the restaurant and enjoy a good drink

Nature lovers this is your place. Dedicate some time as there are seven different levels and not one waterfall. Get ready, there will be climbing on rocks, ropes and maybe wooden sticks. Totally recommended!
Nick Koutsandrias — Google review
A bit of a let down. The real things are The insane stairs down. You have to swim to get to a really small waterfall through a canyon. The mountain water is freezing cold. IT IS a beautiful place absolutely. If you are not fit, or overweight, you should not go. The handrails are wobbly and some steps are not stable. Be very careful!
Marko R?is?nen — Google review
You need to be prepared. In order to see the waterfalls you have to swim. Otherwise it is a nice hiking trail with a very narrow and old wooden staircase at some point before the tavern at the top.

Cool place to visit. Lots of walks. You can swim to the first waterfall. It's fairly easy, no more than a 10 m swim in stages.
David Stevens — Google review
Lovely place where the bold get rewarded with sights not many others will see. If you want to see more than the first waterfall, be sure to wear swimming shorts with a closed pocket and closed sneakers/shoes that you don't mind swimming in, further down the path you will encounter ropes you need to climb and many areas with sharp stones and edges, but many more beautiful sights to see! Bring some cash too for the lovely restaurant at the top of the stairs, the view there is breathtaking.

Cute little walk to get up to a cute little waterfall. There are 3 Waterfalls, the 1st is doable to get to (small easy walk through the forest and then a small swim so keep that in mind if you have belongings with you. You could drop them off at the cliff restaurant but if you have fear of heights, you won't make it up the stairs haha) but the waterfall is nothing spectacular. To get to the other 2 you need to invest. From 1 to 2 you have to climb a 2m rock with no rope so if you're not super fit, you can't get over it. Shame. Apparently the 3rd is the nicest.

You can reach this place after 10 minutes walk through the valley. Take your swim suit with you if you intend to swim, we didn't know. There is a cafe at the top of the hill but getting there is very difficult. There are probably 200 steps which are very steep and narrow. I don't recommend it if you have problem with your knees. We could not reach the waterfall due to absence of our swimsuit. It has beautiful seenery. I hope you can enjoy.

Amazing walk along the creek which crawls with life. You can see small fish and crabs if you look close enough. Lots of beautiful shaped trees. We didn't quite make it to the waterfalls because you have to swim to see those. Still worth a visit.
Michiel Essen — Google review
Potami Waterfalls is a great hike, with amazing views through the lush forest. The road itself can be quite dangerous though, due to very steep stairs leading up and down the mountain. Also, the waterfalls are only accessible via swimming. Not for small children and the elderly.
Kamila Wojciechowicz-Krauze — Google review
It depends on the whether, but been there in the end of June and even the first 30m to first waterfall requires you to be fully submerged, so look out (it's more then 1,8m deep!).
Then you need to climb the first waterfall, which might not be easy! Water is cold, but refreshing in my opinion. Met some lovely and brave people there. Great trip!

Very nice thing to do on a hot day.
We went in the morning and when we left we realized there were coming more and more people.
We parked our car on the street en followed the road sign to the potami waterfalls. The first bit was a nice walk through the trees and soon there was water. We went in the water and found the first waterfall and left our clothes and bag by the stairs. You have to do quite a tough clime through the waterfall and later at the second one as well. If you’re not that adventurous or lack the arm-strength like me you can also walk up the very steep stairs at the start of the water and walk up to the tavern at the top and then take the stairs down to the top of the second waterfall. After that you still have to clime through the water and rocks but those are definitely less hard to clime up. We saw people on bare foot so it is possible apparently but I would definitely recommend water-shoes of some kind and of course swimwear because you’ll have to swim at some points of the trail. If you want to take your phone and other important stuff with you, a watertight bag is useful.
We had a great time and would for sure recommend it to others!

Pleasant walk in the forest following the waterless "river". Then you have to swim in ice-cold water to the first waterfall and once more to the next larger one. Unless you want to climb a steep wooden staircase to the tavern at the top and take a different route to the waterfalls.

The Tunnel of Eupalinos, an ancient underground aqueduct built in the 6th century BCE, is a remarkable feat of engineering. Constructed under the direction of the innovative engineer Evpalinos, this extraordinary landmark spans an impressive 1034 meters. Commissioned by Polycrates to secure sources of drinking water for the bustling metropolis of Pythagorio (then known as Samos), this monumental project involved dangerous excavation work that sadly claimed the lives of numerous laborers.
Amazing! This is a must to do if you are in Samos. 2500 year old tunnel made by hand to transfer water

If you are taller than 6 foot (180cm) or just don't like narrow, cramped spaces do not go, it will be a torture! The people who lived 2 millennia ago and have build these marvelous tunnels were much much smaller. On Today's standards you could say it was built by dwarfs.

Last time I visited the sight was on 2017 with my 6 years old son and it was fantastic. We went the whole route and we returned to the start from the mountain. Yesterday ( 08-07-2023) I revisited the sight with my 11 years old now son. They said that it is not allowed for kids to enter the sight if they are less than 14 years old. Also you can't go through the whole route. They said that it is because of covid registrations. Really? It's like going to Athens and not being able to visit Parthenon. I change my grade to one star and will remain like that until they change it back to normal.
CHANTZARAS Nikolaos — Google review
While being on Samos it is a must see attraction. The tunnel makes an amazing impression if you know its history. You can enter only at certain times (different lengths of routes and prices). Unfortunately now (May 2022) it is not possible to go to the end of the tunnel because of the coronavirus. You should also mind that first meters are very narrow and you have to practically squeeze through, which may be a problem for people with claustrophobia or overweight. The only disadvantage is that the guide only leads the way in the tunnel and do not tell any informations about it, so you have to read everything by yourself.

A helmet and instructions were given to us before we went inside. We took the small route of 250 metres which lasted about 30 minutes (going in and then out). You need to wear non slippery shoes. Do not go in if you are claustrophobic. There is a small entrance very narrow and the tunnel all the way is very dark. If you read the story though, you will be amazed of what you are visiting and was built before 2500 years. A must do when in Samos! Don't miss it.

Do NOT go if you are afraid of heights or narrow places. Other than that a masterpiece of ancient engineering that you definitely have to visit! Would really like though that last point to change and that is why I cut one star.

Impressive feat of engineering if you think of how it was dug in the 6th century BC from two sides. The tunnel is 1,036 metres long, and at the rendezvous the closing error in altitude for the two tunnels was only a few millimetres.
Take the long tour from the southern entrance which takes you to the rendezvous point and back.

The entrance to the tunnel is quite narrow and low, so be prepared to stoop over. The guide is a safety guide, not a tour guide, so make sure to do your reading about the history before you go. Mice stone beach. Being shoes. Glorious breeze whilst sunbathing. Beds are ok comfort wise. Costs 2 drinks with no cost. Steep slope down to the beach from the road. Well worth a days visit.

It'a must do for swimming. We loved this beach😊

It's a lovely beach club with a beautiful location and sea. It has a spacious parking lot, making it easy to find a spot. The loungers are well-spaced and comfortable. There's a wide range of beverage options, and the staff is attentive. The food, however, may not be exceptionally delicious, but it depends on your expectations. The sea is stunning, and you can spend the whole day there. Lounger prices vary based on different models.

Nudist beach on eastern side is official and unchallenging. Stony, as most beaches, but pretty. Even better is the cafe at the top which has super views and is surprisingly uncrowded even when the beach is crowded.
The Statue of Pythagoras in Samos is an impressive and imposing monument that serves as a constant reminder of the famous mathematician's theorem. This renowned tourist attraction holds great significance due to its association with Pythagoras, who was born on this Greek island along with other notable figures like Aesop, Epicurus, and Melissus. The statue itself stands proudly and can be seen from afar, radiating its allure.
Besides the statue, there is also the best view of the harbor here, especially at night!
J D — Google review
The statue is nice. The town it's in is a little quiet. The statue alone isn't worth the trip, but if you are heading to Pythagoreio anyway it's an easy stop to go and check out.

Nice statue. Especially for math or history people. Free to visit in the harbour

This statue really brings honours to Pythagoras. Nice to see. The town Pythagoreio is so lovely. Loved spending my time here.

If you like history you should definitely visit this place. Nice view over the port

Stunning! Very clean and the views from this monument are incredible, you could swim across to Turkey from here, in crystal clear waters.

Nice statue in the port. Just a short walk from the other sights in Pythagorio.

Nice promenade to the statue. I was curious about the writing on the statue, but there is no explanation/translation anywhere. It will be perfect if there is a board with translation.

To be honest, nothing special with the statue. You don't have to force yourself to go there. Statue is modern day made and doesn't represent anything from ancient days. It's just a repetition.
Moni Vronta, an ancient monastery in Samos that underwent extensive renovation after being partially destroyed by a fire in 2000, is situated 2 km past the village of Vourliotes. The journey to the monastery offers a breathtaking view of endless vineyards. Its age and historical significance left a profound impact on visitors when first encountering it from the exterior.
Παραλία Μικρό Σεϊτάνι, located on the northwest coast near Karlovassi port, is a breathtaking beach accessible only by boat or foot. The journey to this secluded pebble cove takes approximately 30 minutes on foot through olive groves and pine woods. Once you arrive, you'll be greeted by a stunning bay adorned with magnificent rock formations and pristine, transparent waters.
Extremely beautiful beach which is untouched due to its location. Stone beach. Be sure to have swimming shoes on, works without as well but you will enjoy the experience more without thinking about the rocks.
Takes around 35 min from the end point of potami Beach.
If you are in samos, have access to a car and don't have trouble with walking 35min in the woods then this is an opportunity to visit this place. If there is only one place to visit, it should be this beach.
Tishko Shafiq — Google review
Longish and beautiful walk gets you to a scenic and small pebbly beach with some smooth but uneven rock shelving away from half of it. Difficult swimming if sea is rough (I couldn't detect any string currents). Last 4 metres of path a little challenging (a plank with a 2 m drop to the beach next to it) Bigger beach is about 40 minutes further on.

Most beautifull Beach of Samos. 45 min Walking required.
andres müller — Google review
The trail starts at the end of Potami village. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to the Mikro Seitani beach one way. It is a very picturesque trail running through an olive grove and partly along the rocky coast. The beach itself is small and rocky, the water has a beautiful color, swimming is allowed. You can also walk to Megalo Seitani beach which is further away. I would recommend wearing sneakers.
Klaudia Malinowska — Google review
Mikro Seitani is like 30 minutes from the car, but its totaly worth it. Makro Seitani is another 40 minutes away. Also Very nice, but if you dont have enough time, visit just Mikro, it is little bit nicer.

Calm and peaceful beach that you can reach after 40 minutes walking. Lovely place where to enjoy one day in the middle of the nature.

The road to this place is totally off road. There is no sign and information on how to get there by car. Downhill crazy steep road and also uphill. Make sure your car can make it so you can leave the place. We found some destroyed olive mill, left the car and continued on foot around 2.5 mi kilometers. Views are nice. The beach itself looks interesting, it is very small with big waves. You can also opt for some hiking from Potami village, it is probably a more common way to get there.

Best beach on Samos! Definetly worth the 30 minutes of walking. There are almost no people and the water is crystal blue. You can park close to the path and then you can take the path that takes 20-30 minutes to the beach.Definetly reccomend to take some food with you because there is no shop or restaurant

Exceptionally clean water, nice view. However, we did not see a single sign showing us the right direction. Also, the downhill is pretty steep so be extra confident your car can handle the uphill when you want to leave the place. Otherwise you have to leave your car and continue for the rest of the route on foot. We left our car near the old olive mill and walked for about 30-40 minutes on steep downhill. There is another way to get to the beach, might be easier.

Intimate beach with breathtaking views, but a lot of wind… amazing snorkeling but with big waves!

Beautiful beach, but a very long walk. Big rock when you entering in the wather, big waves, we didn't manage to swim at all. It's not worth such long hiking.
The Archaeological Museum of Pythagorion, housed in a contemporary structure, showcases artifacts from nearby archaeological sites and particularly the Heraion. It exhibits rare tombstones and exquisite sculptures from different eras, including the Roman period. Noteworthy pieces are a temple-shaped sarcophagus and a statue depicting Emperor Trajan. The museum's design follows a chronological sequence, guiding visitors through time starting from the 4th millennium BC.
Fortunately they were open for Ohi Day of Greek Independence and bravery. Much about ancient history going back some seven thousand years. A gifted island of great artisans and creative people.

Definitely interesting and well maintained museum with a lot of things to see. Free for up to 25 years old and other categories., 6 euros for the rest. Only problem is that the main exhibit is pottery, which was a little bit all over the place during the ancient times and don’t stand out in comparison with similar sites. Don’t get me wrong still a lot to see. Recommended if you are interested in archeological museums!
Str?ngylis Dionysios — Google review
Interesting museum about the history of Samos based on archaeological founds.
A lot of explanatory texts that tell you about the stuff that you can see.
We've spent around 1.5 hours there including reading most of the texts.
Pieter Jansen — Google review
The museum and site are on the main road from Samos Town and actually in Pythagorion above the port. The museum has interesting exhibits showing the trading connections of Samos with the mainland, other islands and even Egypt, mostly dating from the main period of the town under Polycrates (533-522BC). The descriptions in English are informative. Outside the Agora and remains of the central town are a compact area with baths workshops housing and the evidence of the later Roman influence with water pipes and other infrastructure.
Well worth a visit especially when combined as we did to the tunnel site which is only 2 km from the museum.

Very nice museum. Lots of information about the rich history of Samos. Costs only €6.-. A tip, give the visitor space. Staff follows you continuously as if they are attached to you with a rope. Very annoying and even uncomfortable. But all in all very interesting and educational.

Worth visiting as it has some nice pieces on display. Cheap entry fee. Queue is shorter than for the Akropolis.
Buy tickets in advance online to get fast track entry...... but don't expect it to be organised, you'll have to push your way to the front and speak to the security staff to enter on the time allocated to your ticket.

Such beautiful relics and items, statues and clay work.
I liked the old "city" outside to walk around. Would love to have more history explained, as it can be a little bit hard to get all the info.
Very beautiful and very clean.

Potami Beach, situated 2 km west of Karlovassi near the Agios Ioannis monastery, boasts a picturesque crescent shape and is renowned for its stunning sunsets and crystal-clear waters. The beach is flanked by vibrant beach bars, making it a popular spot for both swimming and sunset viewing. Sunshades and deck chairs are available for rent, while the bar offers refreshing drinks to be enjoyed on the beach itself.
A beautiful pebble beach with a few different organized areas to choose from. Sun beds were free the day we visited in August of 2023, we just ordered some fresh juices, some coffee and snacks and spent most of the day relaxing!

Lovely long stone beach top north west of the island, recommend visiting if you are in that area. Plenty of sun beds available but also loads of space just to setup by yourself

Beautiful beach with pebbles, a nice bar with sunbeds etc...if you are in the area and think that visiting the nearby waterfalls is a great idea, you are wrong ! It is a terrible idea. Lots of tourists, difficult to take a decent photo, if you don't want to get wet or have a waterproof camera you won't see any waterfall. The staircase to the tavern is insanely sketchy and mostly dangerous.

Kaladakia Beach is a coastal area located approximately 1.3 km from Ormos Koumeikon. The beach provides an excellent destination for tourists and visitors alike due to its scenic beauty and serene atmosphere. The sandy shorelines are particularly fascinating, while the crystal-clear waters offer a refreshing swimming experience. There are also various amenities available to cater for the needs of visitors such as sunbeds and umbrellas, restaurants serving delicious dishes, water sports activities among others.
Beautiful quiet beach with parking close by - did not regret driving here.
There’s a beach bar located on the beach as well, who charge 7 EUR for umbrella w. 2 chairs (very fair price).

Beautiful beach in a hidden bay, clean water and rocky terain. Refreshing cold and super clean and transparent water. Great choice for whole day adventure for a family. Very nice place at the beach, the road to it is kinda hard with a scooter(if you're with 2 persons.)
With a car or quad is no problem.
Or you can just walk.
The beach is clean and nice. So short said.

Very good spot with a beach bar. There is a small space in each side where you can lie down without using the beach bar's sun beds. Make sure to check the wind direction before visiting. On the left as you go down, there is also a small cave where you can swim. Little to no sand, I prefer it that way. Almost no way to get there with a wheelchair though. There is a ramp of somekind but it's really steep.

Great little beach. €7 for use of the seats and umbrella (for two people) worth the swim out to the cave, a little slippery in the rocks, which really is to be expected. I’m not a great swimmer, so wasn’t confident enough to swim back round but it is great to swim out the cave. Into the sea
Hotel Lemonakia Beach, situated in Samos, offers the perfect getaway with its close proximity to beautiful beaches such as Lemonakia and Tsamadou. Additionally, Tsambou is just a short distance away. The area boasts charming coffee shops, gift shops, and tavernas that provide an opportunity for exploration. For nature enthusiasts, there are various well-maintained walking paths including one that leads up Mt Ampelos.
Very nice beach, sunbeds, not as many waves as the other beaches on the north side on the island. Swimming shoes are recommended.

The sea is quite calm and clean. The location is too noisy. As it’s located in bay region, calm water enables you to swim easily and contentedly. Reasonably priced restaurant is self-service. It serves variety of foods& drinks with a good taste.

This review goes to the restaurant on the beach Lemonakia. The food is exceptionally good and fresh with honest prices. The service is very friendly and fast, we had the best time in this beach and restaurant. The quality is by far better than any other restaurant we tried in Pythagorion. Authentic genuine fresh food both meat and fish. The place is sparkling clean in every corner included the toilet. Water is crystal clean.

We have been there for almost 10 days. To us one of three top beaches on the island. With no doubt the best souvlaki. The owner Edda, his older son Elio and all the staff have been incredibly kind and welcoming. We felt like being in paradise. We’ll be back next year for sure. Thank you all. Has been a gift meeting you. We love you so much🙏❤️

A standart, lovely, well organised, "self service" beach that's ~30 mins of walk from Kokkari center (you don't necessarily drive here). The sea is the Aegean so you know how beautiful it can be 😍
Various options to lay/sit/stay (on the shore, on upper levels on geass, tables with chairs, etc.). We only had beers & chips and the chips was home made and delicious.
I just can't understand why they don't give you treats with beer unlike all the cafes/bars. Any ideas?

We had a relaxing day at Lemonakia Beach. Two sun-beds with an umbrella costs 10€ in total. One sun-bed costs 6€. Food prices were a bit high in my view, e.g. one caffe latte with ice costs 3,5€. The beach itself is really calm. Toilets were clean and showers had great water pressure. They also have a car park in their premisses, but you can also park on the side of the main road and walk down to the beach. The beach is not protected against northerly winds, so it may be quite wavy on windy days.
Paralia Megalo Seitani is an exquisite, isolated sandy bay nestled amidst cliffs, offering a unique swimming experience where clothing-optional is allowed. Accessible either by foot or boat, this stunning beach ranks among the finest in Samos. Located approximately 13 km away from Vathy, the capital city, it boasts a captivating tropical ambiance with tranquil turquoise waters that are shallow and ideal for children.
Beautiful secluded beach, worth additional 30 min. hike from Mikro Seitani. Footpath is clear and marked.

A beach by it's own class. No streets going there, you have to get there by foot or boat. So if you're lucky, you'll be there on your own.
There are a few houses (probably illegal), but apart from that you'll find rather untouched nature in all it's beauty.

Beautiful long beach. It's not very crowded so you can relax and enjoy the sun! You reach the beach through a long path through the mountain, but it worth it! Also there are local people that can take you there with their boats! Your phone will not have any signal there, so leave it home and relax! If you take the path, bring a big bottle of water with you and some food.
Anthony Dimopoulos — Google review
Stop throwing your trash at the beach.
you are also not allowed to light fires in protected areas. How hard is it to take your frappe and water bottle trash back with you?
Honestly if you don't plan to pick up your trash do not go there.

Amazing big natural beach that is barely visited. The water is amazing and there is a lot of tranquillity to be found there.
T.J. Thies — Google review
Stay at mikro seitani, it's an hour hike from there. 1/5 difficulty sign is misleading. You have to climb a long way up and then descend a winding path on the cliff without any shade. Best go there early in the morning and come back late in the evening. Expect waves if there is wind not from the South.
Efthymios Pachos — Google review
Getting there is not that hard if you are a moderately active person!
You drive past Potami beach (google maps directions takes you on another, longer route). Once the asphalt ends, a concrete road goes up the mountain for a few more minutes. Continue onto the gravel road and once you reach a fork go left (there is a sign on the right saying no tresspassing, private property). After a few more meters you will reach a sign which is where the path starts and you can park the car there. Follow the trail for a 20min descent over a very nice scenery (about 100m altitude descent so not very steep).
You then reach the Mikro Seitani beach. A very nice pebble beach with crystal clear water. From here, the trail continues towards Megalo Seitani. This is another 40min walk where you climb and then descent to the beach (around 110m climb+descent, again not very steep). Around 60% of the trail is in the shade, through pine trees.
Sturdy footwear is recommended and make sure to carry some water. There is a hose with water on the beach but we were not sure it's drinkable.
When we visited the beach in mid July, there were only 6 people there when we arrived. They left after a few hours and we had the entire beach to ourselves.
The beach is very nice and quite long and wide. The mountainous backdrop was particularly spectacular.
There is some shade in an alcove on the far right as you look at the sea, but only room for 2-4 people. Some shade can also be found near the trees in the back.
We spent the entire day there. The way back was also decent, although the climb fro Mikro Seitani to the car seemed longer than the descent 😊
A few extra pointers:
You can also catch the sunset from Mikro Seitani beach, although we missed it due to a cloudy evening.
Both Mikro and Megalo Seitani are clothing optional beaches so expect to see nudity there (or perhaps even try it if brave enough)
Be advised that there is absolutely no cell coverage in the area.
Would rate the beach and trail 10/10
