Siamsa Tire is a specialized circular venue that celebrates Irish culture through its theater, music, and dance programs. The space is fantastic for shows, plays, or concerts with excellent acoustics and well-maintained facilities by friendly staff. Siamsa Tire recently hosted an exceptional performance by Declan O'Rourke and his band with soul-supplementing music that can only be experienced in person.
Fantastic space for a show, play or music. Great sounds and acoustics.
Well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff from booking to leaving.
We have been to a few shows there and will return.

On Saturday I with friends in evening go to theatre.
In Ireland I first thing in theatre. This is very interesting, but I don’t like theatre because for me very boring.
Today, Sunday. This is so ugly and out of sync. No boys only girls, I have nothing against performing without the boys, but this is a Robin Hood performance.
The performance was more like a children`s matinee(matinee in the kindergarten), although we were counting on an adult performance.
I was simply shocked that when the performance began, the children sat down on the faces of the audience.

Went to see the phantom of the opera opening night. It was a good show, the microphones kept cutting out and the phantom nearly dropped Christine so a bit awkward but apart from that they put on a very good show. Amazing singers. A little humour added to the overall enjoyment of the show. A very nice evening drinks before the show made it even better.

Lovely, intimate theatre. Enough slope that we didn't have to worry about the height of the people in front of us. Nearby car park was free from 6.30pm and had plenty of space.
You can order your interval drinks before the event so that you don't waste time queuing.

The Kerry County Museum is a large structure filled with vibrant exhibits that showcase the history of County Kerry, including its people, buildings, and land. Visitors can enjoy interactive displays that highlight significant Irish historical events and trends, with a particular emphasis on the region. One unique exhibit is the Medieval Experience which offers an authentic re-creation of life in Tralee in 1450 complete with smells and sights.
museum Amazing exhibition to Roger Casement. Such informative history. A walk through the medieval town was fantastic with the sounds of bygone days all around The Crean exhibition is a must see!! Amazing staff who were most helpful Halloween themed walk through (which isn’t my thing as I ament into horrors and scary things) is very scary the later you go in the day the scarier it gets Highly recommend everyone visit some time 👍🏻💯💯👍👍💯👍👍

Great History of the area!
Worth a visit 😃
You need at least 1 good hour inside.
Also visit the park around, with the history of the Rose of Tralee 🌹 and some local history.

Fabulous experiencem great place. Visited yesterday as was in the area and its a brilliant place to pass an hour. Longer if you wanted to. Had 7 great different experiences for different informations on different topics. We really loved the medival area. It was very cool with very realistic statues and pieces. The kids also enjoyed the archaeological area with the microscope and the areas to excavate themselves. Very impressed and definitely a must do when down in tralee. Just across the road from the park in tralee. And there is parking around the building. Everything is in walking distance.

Usually four to five stars.
Festive Hall 2019 brilliant. But Currently they don't deserve any plaudits. One star is generous as the museum discriminates blatantly against sections of the Irish population who do not disclose their vaccine status. So much for inclusiveness and equality they don't take those words seriously. Shame on them.

We had a great time visiting. Our favorite part was the recreated village, but we also found the other exhibits interesting, including the role of County Kerry in the Easter Uprising and Antarctic explorer Tom Crean.
Julie Schmidt — Google review
I went there with the kids and I enjoyed it very much. There was a lot of information on history of Kerry. The kids got a little quiz to fill out which kept them interested! The best part for them was down stairs where the got to be an archaeologist. The model of old town was also very good.

Lovely museum. Great exhibition on the ground floor about medieval Tralee. Exhibition space on first floor also very informative

Beautiful museum, with something for all the family. The Roger Casement exhibition is one of the best curated exhibitions I have seen anywhere. I'm only here for a few days, but we plan to return to see the Tom Crean Room and the main gallery. We just ran out of time on this visit. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the Tralee area.

Due to the very rainy weather conditions, we decided to visit the Kerry County Museum.
It took us an hour to go through the various rooms of the museum. There were many information panels and some exhibits. Unfortunately, all electronic devices were not working (all displays and audio explanations were out of order). That was very unfortunate.
Unfortunately, the basement area of the museum smelled strongly of urine and toilets. That made the visit very unpleasant.
We were rather disappointed.
Lisa W. — Google review
Most small town museums are not the best. Often, you hear people say, "it's only a fiver." The same is not true for this museum. For only a fiver, you got 7 floors of fantastic material relevant to the local area. You will encounter its religious, viking, medieval, and modern history. For example, underground is a town they built that you walk to resembling medieval times in Ireland. Upstairs is the modern explorer Tom Crean, who travelled to the South Pole. At the reception was a lovely lady who advised both my son and I on what we could do in the area. Kerry Museum has exceeded my expectations, and no other small town in Ireland competes with this museum.

Been here many many times....Great museum and only €5 fee...Great walk through replica of Tralee in 1450...other excellent exhibits regarding local and national history...a must see if in Tralee or killarney...

Nice local exhibition of historical founds and handcrafts, on the ground floor there is also a funny reconstruction of medieval village, great experience for children.
The section I really appreciated was about Roger Casement an mostly unknown Irish patriot, his motto "a man may fight a country and its policy and yet not hate an individual of that country" is really actual even today
Pretty exhibition of the Rose of Tralee's dresses, there is also an Italian one!

Fabulous little museum, there are lots activities for kids and the staff are lovely. We go almost every time we visit Tralee and never get sick of it!
Blennerville Windmill is a restored 1800s windmill that has been transformed into a popular tourist attraction. It houses a visitor centre, restaurant and historical exhibits that offer an insight into the mill's past. The tour guide is highly engaging, making the tour both humorous and informative for visitors of all ages. Kids are particularly fond of the tour and enjoy every step in an entertaining way. Additionally, there is a model railway on display which visitors love.
Awesome!
My family and I (Adults of varied ages, children and adolescents) arrived in a decent-sized group, without having purchased tickets in advance; everyone at the Blennerville Windmill welcomed us and took good care of us right away!
We are so glad we visited; we learned a great deal about the windmill, it’s history, The Jeannie Johnston and much more, in a fun and interactive way!
There was something for everyone to enjoy. Though, I think everyone enjoyed the whole experience.
The is ample parking at the entrance of the welcome center. Upon entering, we found the grounds to be beautifully scenic and well cared for. The team members are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and charismatic. The movie was educational and enjoyable.
We enjoyed viewing and learning about the model trains and there were information pamphlets for additional tourism highlights.
Before leaving, we made sure to shop for plenty of great items/ souvenirs in the gift shop (there was an ample variety to choose, something for every budget).
Thank you to everyone at The Blennerville Windmill for a great and memorable experience. Also, for doing a fabulous job of maintaining the integrity of this historic site.
I you have an opportunity to visit, I would highly recommend it!

Such a reasonable price for the tour and I came away with a wonderful book of delicious baking recipes that I'm excited to try:)
Will definitely go again! Thanks all at the Windmill:)

A really interesting visit, Ireland is always blessed by strong winds therefore I was really surprised that this is the only working windmill in the green island!
The owner family welcomed us friendly and explained us everything about the construction and restoration of the mill.
We could walk up to the very top and hear the wooden gears sing loudly for us.
They also show a nice collection of miniature trains, they built with the greatest care.
Finally they gave us a wonderful tip to a trail to Tralee starting from the other side of the bridge - wonderful walk along the canal just to the city centre. So we left our car parked in front of the windmill and started our tour to Tralee the Rose of Ireland
Highly recommend

Very interesting, with Covid restrictions pre book well in advance, but you get a 1:1 experience with your friendly informative guide who takes you up the various levels of the windmill. Alas due to damage to a sail the windmill no longer rotates. Consider your cost of admission as a vital donation to the upkeep and preservation of this important historical landmark.

Interesting visit of a working windmill. Count around 30-40min.
Steep steps inside require going down backwards (like on the ladder).
Ticket - 4€.

Nice little place. Had a quick visit here while in tralee yesterday. Staff nice and friendly. Lovely scenery around the mill. Very cool to access the mill and see how things work. Stairs narrow and steep so just be careful on those. Wouldn't be suitable with a buggy or wheelchair. Got some lovely photos. Nice little gift shop also there. Definitely worth a visit if in tralee. Not somewhere where you would spend entire day but would definitely pass an hour. Lovely area also inside with models of trains and a huge anchor. Biggest I've even seen. Lovely little displays inside also.

A fantastic example of an old windmill, one of the few in the world now remaining that was thankfully restored back in the late 80's preserving our history. There is an example of a Viking mill stone on display. There are also some excellent model railways that you can play with. The tour guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. Definitely worth a visit

A big information centre with the most wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Their depth of knowledge is super helpful too. They run different events, have plenty to occupy and excite the kids, and hopefully get them asking questions and becoming passionate about the biodiversity on show in the wetlands. A place to visit wether young or old, local or tourist. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Friendly staff, very clean play areas and seating section. Great to see these times at present that we live in. Not too crowded which makes for a more comfortable experience for everyone. Ballyseedy Woods, located near Tralee, Kerry, is a serene retreat spanning nearly 80 acres and dating back to at least the 16th century. The woodland boasts around 22 varieties of native trees and features ruins and follies from centuries past. With easily accessible paths suitable for all skill levels, it's a family-friendly destination offering leisurely strolls through its various routes.
A beautiful but confusing place to walk the dogs. I've only been twice and each time I've walked in circles trying to get back to the carpark. Still, it's a lovely walk 🙂

Lovely woods to walk in in a wonderful setting however Kerry County Council should hang their head in shame with the lack of love or interest shown to this wonderful woods! Be warned there are 2 car parks and a 90% lack of directional signs so unless you're a local you will get lost !

Very spiritual place, blessed as the Baptismal site of St Brendan, patron Saint of Kerry. A place where hundreds of years of prayer have left their mark, through an air of serenity, peace, and tranquility. One of Kerry's "thin places" where the barrier between the spiritual and material realm is particularly "thin".

I got a takeaway for my family on sunday the 6th of August, our favourite dish in all Chinese from north to south of ireland is a spice bag, we were outraged by the plactic container with burned salty chips that literally bounced off the floor, with like 4 pieces of chicken strips. Don't recommend the spice bag. My opinion is if salt is the only flavour you can taste then the food either days old or a combination if laziness and lack of customer service.
Had avery smooth and easy registration process to get our family library cards, staff were friendly as they took me on a little tour to the library sections.

Very impressive collection and very cooperative staff. Well arranged shelves. It has a major share in developing the habit of book reading in my kids.
We really miss it since we moved to England as here at midlands we are yet to find some library like this!

Not allowing students to study in a library is honestly disgusting. It was a school day and there was no one in the library, I went in with my bag and laptop looking for a space but there were no seats to sit down. I went up to the lady and she said we are not doing study spaces until next week but you'll need a library card. Why couldn't they just pull out a seat and let me study. Its absolutely ridiculous that you have to wait a week and have a card to take a seat and desk. I went into Costa and they were more accommodating then an actual library. I really hope there's no kids that are maybe having problems at home who can't study and then go into a library and are basically kicked out of there.

Excellent facility with helpful staff & the ability to order your books online & receive an email when it’s available is fantastic.
Had lunch in Ballyseedy garden centre and was amazed at how close we were to an ancient piece of Irish history..3 min drive away. Stones are in perfect condition. Go visit, take photos, feel happy.
The Rathass Church is a fascinating historical site where the young ones eagerly await their First Communion, accompanied by the esteemed Fr Sean. In addition to its religious significance, this landmark boasts Carmel, a composed Sacristan who adds tranquility to the atmosphere. While finding it may not be simple, those with an affinity for cemeteries will find joy in exploring this place where generations of family members rest eternally.
Had a wonderful experience . .the children anticipating their First Communion . They are blessed with Fr Sean... Carmel a very calm Sacristan ..❤
