The Sliema Ferry is a service that runs between Sliema and Valletta. The ferry provides panoramic views of the harbor as it has an open top. However, the ferry only accepts coins as payment for single fares - adults pay 1.50 while children pay 0.50. It's important to arrive early to avoid delays in queuing and paying for your fare at the Valletta side terminal which is located down a sloping road past restaurants.
Fast, reliable, cheap and easy to use. 1,50euro for a single trip and the boat runs every half an hour. It gets super busy during peak times, so be prepared to wait for a bit and possibly wait for the next boat.
Open top, which is lovely in summer, if a bit windy but always worth it for the view. Honestly there is no better way to get to and from Sliema

Quick and cheap ferry ride from Valletta back across to Sliema. Unfortunately on the Valletta side, it is cash only. Though the staff were fine with me only having card and I had to make the payment at the other side. Apart from not knowing about the cash only part, the ferry was roughly 5-7 mins and cheaper than most other options.
Mike Rouse-Deane — Google review
They don't accept credit card and they have limited change. It's pretty cheap for a single fare, adults are €1.50 and children are €0.50 - best to bring coins if you're planning a single trip.
The ferry from the Valletta side leaves every 30 minutes on the hour, however get there 10 minutes earlier to queue and pay your fare.
The place itself is a little hard to find, go down the sloping road and past the restaurants.
Ferry journey itself is pretty quick!

Another great ferry service by these operators. An easy and pleasant way to travel between Valletta and Sliema. Perfect views with plenty of photo opportunities. Cheap fare (€0.90 return for over 60s includes the shuttle bus to the Three Cities ferry. I’d say it would be extremely busy in summer.

The ride its self was good. However, the waiting area is a temporary thing and wholly inadequate, most passengers having to wait in the sun. The entry signs are badly placed and misleading. Entry is from the south of the position marked by Google. Fare €2. March 2024.

Love the ferry - what better commute could you ask for!
Friendly staff, punctual service too!!
TIP: there is a complimentary bus, in Valletta, that will take you to the Valletta/3-cities ferry.

Get ready for an interesting walk around the shoreline of old Valletta. Starting from the ferry ⛴ terminal on the opposite side of the harbour from Sliema ferry terminal, turn left on Boat Street and follow the road and paths for an eye catching experience. Do this only if you are an accomplished coastal walker. It can be very dangerous to those who are inexperienced. Enjoy it and take your time. One or two hours is all you need.

Nice way to travel from Sliema to Valletta. Not easily reachable from Valletta city centre, quite a walk down or up.
The crew need some very serious training in customer care. We arrived while the boat was still there, moorings and all, however a rude crew member turned us back and we had to wait over 30 minutes for the next boat. Totally unnecesaary!
More commonly known as "Cats Park," this is one of my favorite spots, has easy access to the beach, is usually really clean, and has public bathrooms, which is a big plus.
It also has a playground on one side for the little one and a bar for the not so little in the complete opposite direction 😌
There's a lot of activities and group gatherings for Yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, painting, and practically whatever outdoorsie activity you want.

Small and nice park by the sea, where you can catch your breath and enjoy the view. There are several benches you can sit on (and very colorful ones ☺️), also you can get to see and pet some wild cats. There is also a nice cat statue greeting you in the park 😺

Charming long and narrow public garden just below Auberge du Castille. Landscaping design could benefit from further refinement. On the other hand the premises are clean and tidy. An ideal spot to watch the large cruise ships come and go or simply take in the activities in Grand Harbour. Worth a visit and a great place to enjoy a packed lunch.

Nice and chilling park to spend the free time.
Cats, hens and other birds live next to each other in this park.
You can bring some food or donate some accessories. The coast is good for sunbathing, swimming a bit.
No animal, nobody disturbs anyone there.
The Point Shopping Mall, the largest in Malta, is a modern and relaxed shopping destination. It features globally recognized brands, a supermarket, and casual dining options with Wi-Fi connectivity. Visitors can also enjoy strolling along the long seaside promenade offering stunning views of Valetta harbor. The mall may seem small compared to malls in Asia but has a sufficient selection of international brand stores and food outlets. Parking is available under the mall, which is decorated beautifully during Christmas season.
Great choice of designer stores and places to eat and drink. Take your time to choose your desired items.

Even though it's a large mall, the place was hard to find and most doors were tanted,
The mall is nice and clean and it has a good variety of shops, clothes, utensils, food, and there is even a bookstore that sells bus cards,
I was unable to see all of it since it was Larger than I thought, but it's a nice place that I'm looking forward to visiting again.

This mall was actually worth visiting. If you are used to US malls or malls in Asia you will be disappointed in the size. It’s pretty small but enough stores of international brands. Food choices are limited but sufficient. Parking was under the mall but as the rest of Malta small. But overall can’t complain.

This location is entirely satisfactory. There is a wide selection of brands available for your consideration. I visited the place in order to seek relief from the high temperatures, as the weather was excessively warm for my comfort. However, I believe the temperature of the location is insufficiently warm. Additionally, designated dining areas are available for patrons to enjoy their meals. The establishment offers a comprehensive range of services, although there is room for improvement in its air conditioning system.

Edit to provide improvements:
This mall has a lot of designer labels but very limited selection for practical purchases. A pharmacy open on Sundays would be a great addition. I went in search of creatine (a sports supplement) and affordable swimwear. I left without either of them. In my case, a health store such as Holland & Barrett would have been good.
Edward Rayner — Google review
On our recent visit to this shopping mall, The mall itself was satisfactory, offering a variety of stores and amenities that one would expect. However, the journey from the parking lot to the mall was less than intuitive.
Signage, or rather the lack thereof, posed a challenge. Attempting to locate the elevators and stairs felt like a quest in itself, with directional signs being conspicuously absent. This made the transition from parking to shopping unnecessarily complicated.
The quest continued with the elusive ticket payment machines. Tucked away in a hidden place of the mall, the one we found were a treasure waiting to be discovered by those fortunate enough to stumble upon them.
Despite these navigational hurdles, the mall was clean, and the shops were as expected.

(Translated by Google) A very beautiful temple. The servant at the temple briefly told his story. He complained about the faulty organ and told many different details from the daily life of the church and parish. In general he was very friendly. It was very interesting to perceive his story (in English) by ear - a kind of language training. 😊 For a short excursion - a very good attraction.

The Parish Church of Jesus of Nazareth, located in the heart of Sliema, was originally built in 1895 and later became a parish church in 1973 under the care of the Dominican Friars. This beautiful church stands out for celebrating mass in English, making it accessible to a wider audience. Despite its location on a busy street, visitors are often surprised by its well-maintained interior, tasteful decorations, and serene atmosphere.
Beautiful, well maintained small church near the sight seeing center of Malta. Although it's a very busy street this little gem does not enjoy fair publicity. Once you get in you'd be impressed by the artwork, cleanliness, tasteful decoration. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful church in the center of Sliema, compared to most Maltese churches, this one also celebrates mass in English.
The church was built in 1895, became a parish church in 1973 after being given to the Dominican friars in 1908 and is now one of four parishes in Sliema.

Not due to opulence and trying to impress.
On the contrary, due to its simple color pallette and tasteful interior that creates a great atmosphere. And a feeling of purity and cleanliness.

Lower Barrakka Gardens is a public park located on the outskirts of Valletta, Malta. The gardens offer stunning views of the harbor and sea, as well as monuments and sculptures. The gardens are also close to Lower Barrakka Street, a quiet area with picturesque views that is unique in Valletta.
Very beautiful and tranquil gardens. Such a joy to visit, and took me by surprise how stunning they are.
Lots of lovely areas around the gardens - handing trees, balconies and arch ways for photos, and great views looking back up Valletta and across at the Three Cities.

Nice little gardens, not very large or particularly beautiful in and of themselves, but has some brilliant views across the grand harbour and to the three cities. There are a couple of small kiosks and a cafe just outside for refreshments, but nothing more substantial than that. Lots of seating available looking out to the harbour, some in the sun and some shaded. Don't go too close to the edge if you're scared of heights - it's a long way down!

Only negative was the lack of suitable toilet facilities as there was only a single toilet available with no lock on the door or tissue available. Luckily I always carry a bottle of water (if you know you know) and a packet of Tissues handy so made do with what was on offer. Apologies for the oversharing but maybe useful for someone to hear 😂😂

Definitely a beautiful view the Mediterranean from this outlook post. Even though it’s a little bit lower in altitude than the upper gardens, it has a unique perspective of the city.
Particularly, the bell across with the sleeping solder statue (commemorating the departure of British Colonialists) and the open sea are much visible form here.
The garden itself, in my opinion, is much more well kept than the upper one. Also, there were a lot less people here as well compared to up there.
Worth a visit. Snap a few pics and learn a little history!

The Gardens (upper/lower) are worth the visit. Take the ferry from Sliema to Valletta. Then up the streets to Hastings gardens. Take a short walk and you can see the Upper gardens. Then, it is possible to take the elevator to save time and walk to the left up a bit. You can see the Lower gardens easily. Right next to the gardens you have the Bell monument. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops around. Nice lunch and good coffee available.

On our last night, we visited the Lower Barracks gardens which proved to be the perfect way to end a stunning two week holiday in Malta. The serenity of the garden and the absolutely breathtaking views seemed fitting for the gratitude we felt at having experienced this beautiful country. A small, extremely well-kept garden with multiple views of the harbour in Valletta. You can see the canons below. Various statues fill this garden which signify the historical background of the city.

Magnificent little park with an old temple on top of a hill overlooking the city. Highly recommended for a stroll or just to sit down and relax.
The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, an underground burial site discovered in 1902, features intricate wall paintings and carvings dating back to 4000 BCE. It covers approximately 500 sq metres and is believed to have housed up to 7000 bodies. This subterranean necropolis was excavated from the rock between around 3600-3000 BC.
Truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although the exact story of this place is still to be found out the visit is unforgettable. You will enjoy it even if you're not the greatest history buff. Visits and # of visitors are strictly limited so you'd have to get your ticket well in advance. If you want "last minute" ticket(s) the premium hotels charge is 100-150% of the already expensive ticket prices. I'd still say it'd worth it. Cell phones, cameras strictly prohibited so you'd have to be really creative if you want to take pictures. (Not exactly recommended.) The ticket price includes audio guide which is OK, more than nothing. Info system needs improvement to say the least. No live guide(s). Staff is less than knowledgeable and they are pretty ignorant. Security guards are responsible to turn on/off the lights as a visitor group passes. And actually that's all they could and able to do. Verdict: don't miss it.

I strongly advise against ... Disappointment. We are in August 2022, we bought tickets the day before for two people 100 €, the expected tour was supposed to last one hour, it ended in 35-40 minutes (because even the phones were not allowed to be taken in your pockets. You are not allowed to take pictures. frightening too nervous. Too many places for visitors, you cannot turn around because people are standing tightly next to each other. Too little light. Not a big object. The famous sculpture of a sleeping woman is not only here elsewhere ... The road to this monument is 58 (if there are no traffic jams) minutes by an overcrowded city bus with views of industial sites and ugly buildings ... There is nothing else to visit on site, the cathedral, which is not far away, is closed. In the photos, the streets leading to the Hypogeum and the Cathedral and the street with bus stops ...

An interesting site for those that like to experience ancient ruins. It’s a bit pricey though. It cost $35 if you buy your ticket online and $50 in person (if they have available tickets - They only allow a small group in at a time). When we came they had a cancellation and we were able to get two tickets, but had to pay the more expensive price. They said they were sold out for a month in advance, so buy early if you want to be sure to get in. I think it’s so expensive because they have hand held listening devices available in multiple languages that tell you about the structure and the discovery as you walk through. Also because of the expense to keep it pristine and climate controlled. No photos are allowed (the ones I’m showing are from postcards in the lobby of the entrance). They make you leave your phones and cameras in lockers. A guide is with your small group at all times. There is a bathroom at the entrance. Pee before you go on the 45 minute tour. It would be hard to go out in the middle. There are stairs so it is not handicap friendly.

Been waiting to do this tour for a very long time and I'm glad I did. It is incredible and well worth a visit. You have to book well in advance. My only disappointment was that it was an audio guide rather than a tour given by a human. You can not take pictures inside.

What a magnificent experience! This place is almost 7,000 years old! This is a one in life experience! But you need to know some facts to prevent dissatisfaction:
1. This place is very difficult to be preserved. It is, has mural painting and humidity is extreme and normally there is no light inside.
2. When people comes in, all conditions change: light, people’s breathing containing CO2 and bacteria, temperature and humidity.
3. This place was hidden for thousands of years. Is not like coming into a normal museum or more exposed heritage. This is underground.
Said this, my suggestions are:
1. Plan your visit: you should by tickets in advance. With months prior to your visit. Or take the risk to find last moment tickets at a higher price. Do not complain: yo do the same to visit one of those “immersive” things or to go to a music festival. So, do not complain.
2. No photos allowed: as you can imagine, there will be always someone that will “forget” to put the flash off. Light inside is controlled with the aim to avoid unwanted funguses or algae proliferation.
3. The place is wet: be sure to use ALWAYS the handrail. No matter how young you are. It is dangerous.
4. The tour has audio guide: first, is for protection of the site, since as less you talk, less oxygen you take, less CO2 you produce. Second: it will be impossible to give the tour in so many languages. Live tours are not practical: not all the people has to obligate to speak English. We are a world with so different languages. Respect diversity.
My last recommendation: there is people expecting a “Disney experience”. This is not a show, but nevertheless, is something you will appreciate and enjoy for the rest of your life. Is a privileged experience.
By the way: Bölt is a local ride service and it is a great alternative. You can download the app easily.

Book in advance. They are currently selling tickets for 9 weeks time. Really interesting place to visit with a good audio guide. The history behind this place is hard to take in. My wife is a stroke survivor and walks with a stick, she had no issues with accessibility. No photos of the inside as photography not allowed.

This really is a historical treasure that is a must see if you are remotely interested in the prehistoric period. There is room for improvement in the presentation (eg lighting) but the overall experience is quite something. There is limited access to this site to ensure long term preservation; numbers are limited so book well in advance.

The Hal Salflieni Hypogeum is a fascinating place to visit. Only ten people per hour are allowed to visit. Unless you book months in advance you have to go to St Elmos fortress at 9.00am to get tickets for the next day at €50 per ticket for 12pm visit or 2pm visit.
You get an audio visual presentation before going into three levels of this underground temple which was a burial ground for 7,000 bodies. A guide takes you and you have a audio device with you. There are many steps with restricted spaces.
The guides in the Hypogeum aren't that friendly or knowledgeable and that could be much friendlier and better informed.
But this is an excellent experience. The Hypogeum is found in a back street. Allow yourself enough time to get there. Buses take longer to arrive than you think and can be crowded.
Christopher Watkins — Google review
You have to book your tickets at least 1 month in advance, as the number is visitors per day is capped to preserve the site. Tickets are quite expensive because of the low supply and high demand. It's fascinating that this place is 5000 years old.
I was disappointed not to be allowed to take pictures, even without flash, "for copyright reasons". I don't think any UNESCO heritage site should restrict taking pictures, as they belong to mankind. In reality, this place is a well designed cash cow...
Also the guide looked bored and was just here to point things with her lamp and check that we weren't taking pictures. A real guide, instead of an audio-guide, would have made the experience more interesting.
Overall, if you are fond of archeology, it's probably a must-see. Otherwise, your money would be better invested elsewhere.
Laurent Michaud — Google review
Really is a special experience. The audio guide is well made and the place really captures your imagination. They strictly limit numbers to preserve the site. This means the
Tour is perhaps a little more expensive than usual but it also means you get to experience it in a small group without noise and crowds which really enhances the experience in my opinion. You can book roughly 2 months in advance or you may be able to get tickets for the next day but at higher price.
Some of the bad reviews below are mainly people that
A) didn't bother to Google the place and rolled up expecting to waltz right in
B) they didn't like the audioguide. But the audio guide makes the place accessible for people of all languages and also means you can enjoy the silence when not listening to it.
C) didn't like that they couldn't take photos. But also that you know that if there is a group of 10 people and you say "no flash" , there is always at least one who has no idea and uses the flash anyway.
Each to their own, but for me it is a well run visit that is really unique and was one of my highlights of the week.

Unique place. A must visit place when you are in Malta. It's hard to imagine that such a place was built more than 5000 years ago. But you need buy tickets well in advance (months) because only limited amount of people are allowed to enter for conservation reasons.

There’s no guarantee that tickets will be available same day so book in advance. I went today in off season and still booked a week ahead of time. Ironically they still had tickets for tomorrow but only at specified times. You cannot take pictures inside which is a bummer but it means you really pay attention to it while there.

A must see for fans of the Neolithic and any archaeologist. I'd say this is the most interesting of all the temple sites and also the hardest to get into. As an archaeologist I'm torn between encouraging visits to see this wonder of the ancient world, yet discouraging visits because of the damage it will do to the site (and I'm not a fan of the internal works that have been carried out to encourage visits). Nevertheless it is an amazing site especially for students of archaeology, and will cost you an absolute fortune to get in. You need to book the tickets weeks in advance as well.

We visited Hypogeum. We had made reservations a few months ago. You can not go in unless you have a reservation. The tickets are 35 Euros per adult. There is a discount for seniors, young children, students, etc. It is a unique site that dates back to 5000 B.C. It was discovered in the early 1900s when construction workers accidently broke through a chamber. It had been undisturbed for millenia until then. Its primary purpose seems to have been a burial site because they discovered remains of several hundred people. The construction is all underground. It is remarkable because the size of some of the stones must be a few hundred tons. How were these people able to build it with primitive stone age tools? The walls and ceilings of some of the chambers have what seems to be floral painting in red color. The color is made from the plants. The people who built it had a thorough understanding of the construction material, which is primarily limestone. The site has survived several earthquakes without much damage at all.

The visit is guided, but you use a multi-lingual handset that is synchronised for all 10 visitors - very informative.
The history of the place is fascinating and the place is very well presented.
I would say "a must" if visiting Malta.
The Plaza Shopping Centre, a compact and urban mall established in 1993, offers a diverse range of brand-name retailers, events and food options. This shopping centre is neither too big nor too small but provides all necessary amenities to cater for your needs. The likes of Ralph Laurent or Scotch and Soda will keep you dressed for any occasion while Intercomp ensures that the latest technology is readily available. Recently reorganized, the mall remains well-structured with a decent number of shops.
It is located in the heart of sliema, one of the busiest street ..Though ,you have to walk carefully towards this area as the ground is soo stiff and slippery....but other than that ,its a beautiful and cute mall.

It is normal , nothing special, but i would point out to the professionalism, kindness and good manners of a particular female commercial from lebanon who works in Sully make-up store

Cute mall, full of nice clothes brands, it has a food court and a gaming space, when I went it was empty for some reason but it's a nice place to have a meal or shop for some clothes.

It is a small shopping centre, however, it is not bad. You can find some nice shops, a barber and few restaurants.

Still being worked on and there are more duties being added all the time. The toilet facilities, however, are completely inadequate.

Very small shopping mall. At the time I was there a store to buy food and drinks wasn't working which was a problem for me at the time. The selection of stores is small since the entire mall is small. I went to buy a kid's toy which i almost didn't find. Nice looking place but with limited options.

Nice shopping mall. -1 is the food court, that has plenty of options. Nice stores too

I visited while on a trip for work. The church building was beautiful. The people were warm and the liturgy was nice. Overall, a positive experience. I would recommend that the church make themselves known online with information about service times. I was unsure what time the service started and arrived quite late. I think that by posting online, setting up a website with basic info will be one way to draw more people into the church.

A beautiful anglican Church in the heart of Sliema. I reconnected with church at this church a couple fof months ago and was made to feel welcome from the very first visit. The priest is a truly wonderful person, who takes the time to talk to each person individually and is super helpful (and with a wonderful sense of humour). If you are looking for an English speaking Mass to atrnd then you can do a lot worse than Holy Trinity.
Steven Sloan — Google review
Very friendly and welcoming church. Sunday service is at 10am; if you sing in your church choir at home and would like to sing with the choir at Holy Trinity, there is a rehearsal before the service at about 9:30 am.

Torri ta' San Ġiljan is an ancient hilltop tower that was built in the 17th century. It provides panoramic views of the sea and has been undergoing conversion into a restaurant. Although visitors can't reach the top, it offers breathtaking views from all angles. The structure itself exudes antiquity and is a sight to behold. There's also a gym adjacent to it, making it an interesting place to visit.
It was our favourite place to catch an afternoon Happy Cocktail or two. Great views out to sea and easy to find location. The staff were really friendly and welcoming to us. Hopefully I will return again one day for more drinks and a bit to eat.

Worst female waitress ever. Rude, no customer service skills. They need to train staff, especially those from eastern european countries, where there is no concept of customer service. Ok

Awesome food, wonderful view.... Prices are very good, and I have not received such great service in a very long time. I brought my own water as I have just been to the convenience store, and they came with a glass filled with ice and lime and served my own water without a table charge. They offered to take my photographs of me at the table as I was dining alone and they kept seeking to assist me, offering me parmesan cheese for my wonderful spaghetti sea urchin which tasted fabulous.... Butterfingers that I am I spilt water all over the table and a changed the tablecloth with a smile on their face. I cannot recommend this place enough and as I said, the view is absolutely spectacular especially in the evening. May God bless them all there.

I ordered the seafood pasta and my partner, the spicy cheeseburger. After we picking out several empty mussel snd clams shells, I tucked into my dish… only to find the pasta extremely undercooked and crab sticks in my dish. I thought I was just being picky and asked my partner to give it a try - nope… the pasta was undercooked and there was barely any “fresh” seafood. As for his burger, I understand everyone had different taste when it comes to cooking beef, but we would have preferred to be asked on we wanted his burger rare.

Amazing views of the sea while you enjoy delicious food and drinks. I ate here with a family of four and everything was fantastic. I highly recommend the fresh tuna steak. It was first rate as was the service. The only downside to dining here is that the bathrooms are public toilets which can get a bit rank.

Fantastic experience at ChristineX. The gallery itself is beautifully curated, with a great mix of established and emerging artists. Christine was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, answering all my questions and offering insights into the pieces. She also delivered the purchased art to our friend in Spain, without any hassle. I have great memories from performing here. The ambiance is cosy and you have a clear view of the stage from all seats. The sound is amazing same with the lighting. From a performers point of view the stage is great to work on, very spacious, and the backstage has a lot of rooms and dressing rooms to work with. Additionally, it is found in an area with many restaurants, perfect for dinner and a show!

Comedy Knights will make no sense if you are not from Malta. It is 90% inside jokes about Maltese politics and neighborhoods. Many of the punch lines are either the name of a local politician or a Maltese phrase. On a positive note, the Maltese crowd loved the show and the Knights were having fun, too!

Theatre is OK but nothing special. Needs to change the seats and put some more space between rows! Also needs to add heating as it was freezing!

The Parish Church of St. Gregory the Great is one of the many churches in Sliema, Malta. It hosts religious feasts during the summer to honor its patron saint, featuring lively street parties, marching bands, and fireworks. The church boasts Romanesque architectural style, a rarity in Malta, making it a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. Sliema Promenade is a picturesque waterfront walkway that offers stunning views of the glittering lights and bustling seaport in the evening. The iconic skyline can be best appreciated from this promenade, with Tigne Point being a recommended spot for capturing memorable photos. The area gets busy during summer, attracting swimmers and visitors seeking to enjoy the warm weather.
Very nice and long promenade along the bay. The view on Manoel island and Valletta is spectacular. Then the boats of all sizes waving on the blue water makes it even more special. There are also numerous benches located, facing the sea so a tired tourist can stop there and get rest while admiring the view and enjoying the warm rays of sun. Ideal for nice and long walk.

A fantastic place to run, walk, access the ocean, or people watch! The locals are very fortunate to have such a wonderful promenade! As a tourist this is a great place for a morning stroll. Lots of places to sit and relax or grab a coffee. At this point the access to view the harbour entrance is under construction but would love to return to see this view point!

Great place. Simply "busy" wouldn't do justice. Way overcrowded most of the times, very noisy, highly disorganized, very difficult to find your tour operator, and very easy to get lost. So we love it. :) :) :) The view is great, many overpriced yet pretty good restaurants nearby, full of tourist traps. Easy to enjoy .... soooooo .... enjoy.

Fort Tigné, one of the oldest polygonal forts globally, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Although it was abandoned and vandalized after being used by the military until 1979, it is now part of the ongoing redevelopment of Tigne Point peninsula. The British barracks have been replaced with high-rise apartments offering stunning views of the island.
Big fort from before second world war. Sign says 1937. Surprisingly well preserved, no trash anywhere. Closed to the public with security due to holes and being used for govt storage. Please at least talk to guard if there is one on shift.

Clearly on the list of monuments that need to be developed. I'd realised it was closed, but as passing wanted to take a look. Relatively small Fort, but has excellent views across to Valletta and the opposite Fort. Craggy beach, but plenty of people enjoying the waters and bathing.
Gareth Wright — Google review
Fort Tigné is one of the oldest polygonal forts in the world. The fort was extensively altered by the British in the 19th century, and it remained in use by the military until 1979. When British troops left Malta, the fort was abandoned and parts of it were also vandalized.
Since the early 2000s, the Tigné Point peninsula is being redeveloped, the British barracks were demolished, and high-rise apartments were built instead.
From here you have an amazing view of the island.

Fort Tigne is another fortress in Malta. It's interesting, but nothing spectacular, specially when you compare it with some of the others you can find on the island.
But the views of the sea are pretty nice there!
