St John's Cathedral is a grand church located in the Netherlands that was established during the 13th century. It boasts an impressive 73-meter high spire and is considered as one of the finest churches in the country. Constructed from 1336 to 1550, this cathedral features stunning late-Gothic stained-glass windows, a revered Madonna statue, and an organ case from the seventeenth century.
This Cathedral is amazing from the beginning you can see its Gothic style from the outside and inside --however, back on the days was more Romanesque but it was demolished =( --. You can walk for most of the places inside. as It is Gothic the combination between dark places and lights, makes it perfect contrast. the main tower has 74 meters and this make it the highest church in The Netherlands.

Last weekend we visited this beautiful cathedral. It was one of the last weekends that we were allowed to clime the cathedral from the outside, what made this visit extra special.

I am an American visiting friends in The Netherlands, and I recently visited the Sint-Janskathedraal, which is is a stunning cathedral in s'-Hertogenbosch.
The cathedral is almost 800 years old and includes many popular relics visited by the Catholic faithful.
I visited the day before Easter Sunday, and the cathedral looked perfect. It was inspirational to see all of the holy items, the artwork, and the architecture.
Be sure not to miss the amazing statues on the roof of the cathedral and be sure to look for the woman on her cell phone (calling a hotline to God)!

The Catholic Cathedral Church of St. John (Sint-Janskathedraal) of 's-Hertogenbosch, North Brabant is one of the most beautiful churches in the Netherlands. It is a Gothic church with richly decorated interior. It serves as the cathedral for the bishopric of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). inside you can see the miraculous Statue of Our Lady of ’s-Hertogenbosch. There is also a small chapel dedicated to orthodox icons. It is definitely worth visiting.

Going up to the top roof is great! You can really appreciate the art, the work and the risk that those workers took to create and build such a magnificent piece of architectural work

Simply majestic! Fist time in a cathedral and happy it was this one. Amazed by everything in the Church. Grote Kerk truly justifies its name (grote=big) , a gigantic monument of beauty and elegance . And don't forget to eat in any of the cafe places around , a Bossche Bol ..harder to write the name than eat the thing

When you get a century's experience due to renovation in the church, one should not miss it. One of the oldest churches of Den Bosch is a must visit to go through an exhibition and see the intricacies carved so beautifully on every wall.

We used the chance for the Avontuurlijke Klim at Sint-Jan: climbing all the way to the top and seeing the cathedral from so close, with the view from it was breathtaking! Not really for the ones who are afraid of heights but recommended highly as this is a one in a lifetime opportunity!

Beautiful cathedral both inside and out. I was impressed by the huge organ which we were lucky to hear playing. There are also some interesting works of art. We tried going up but it's necessary to buy tickets in advance because the spots are filled up quickly.

The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center, located in the St Jacob's Church, displays reproductions of all 29 known works by Bosch. The museum also includes a re-creation of the artist's studio in the basement and features additional artistic elements such as dangling 3D sculptures and an astronomical clock. Visitors are provided with a free explanatory booklet detailing each painting.
Incredible Museum with the work of Jheronimus Bosch all of the paintings are reproductions, but they give you a guide and you can see were in the world is the original painting. Even if you are not familiar with this painter is really a wonderfull experience and you can learn a lot about the meaning of the paintings and the artist that were inspired by this painter like Escher and Dalí. The entrance it's only 10 euros. When you see the painting "The Garden of the Earthly Delights", ask to the people in charge to show you the back of the painting. At the end of the visit yo can go up and see the view of the city.

a wonderful place for Bosch fans
Friendly and helpful staff
A guidebook in English is included in the ticket. You can give it back or take it away if you want.
The printing of postcards in souvenir shop can be better. The details on the cards are to blurred to be seen.
Souvenirs can be better designed. If there are books in more languages, it would be better
You can reach the top of the building with the lift and enjoy a bird-view.

A very interesting collection of Bosch's paintings, and although replicas, that seemed to be in our favor as we were able to touch them and open-close the triptychs. Really enjoyable visit and they even give you a booklet with descriptions of each painting. Huge plus the elevator to the top from where you can see the cathedral at all its majesty!!

Such an amazing experience, especially to see how his Art has been displayed in modern ways as well. It was so great to show a couple friends to this museum. The staff were lovely and very friendly, especially when talking to the children.
They had a great scavenger hunt with great clues, very suitable for our 8 and 10 year old. Highly recommend this museum as the Art is very unique. Such lovely views from the tower too.

Really nice art gallery dedicated to Jheronimus Bosch. Hosted in a former church, it includes high quality copies of his work as well as 3D representations from his paintings. The staff is really friendly and helpful and the guide book is very useful. You can also take the elevator to the 5th floor for a nice view of the city. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there are no originals, but it surely provides a great immersion in Bosch's work. Recommended!

Really nice little art gallery hosted in a former church. The location is at a walking distance from the city center. There is an elevator to the tower. From the top you can see Den Bosch. You can take the stairs on your way down and look at some temporary exhibitions. The Art Center is filled with reproductions of the original paintings and statues based on his work. If you are lucky, you can see the famous church clock playing. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. When purchasing the ticket you will get a small book with a short explanation about every painting.
Emilia Stammler — Google review
An absolutely unbelievable experience. An old church renovated into a tribute to Hieronymus Bosch, as weird of an experience as there may be. All the works are replicas, of course, unfortunately, but very very well made and give a great scope of his works and a nice perception of his art journey.
Jenny Savelyeva — Google review
Not a part of the Museumkaart, but absolutely worth the ticket. Only replicas as all the originals are all in different museums. The modern takes of contemporary artists inspired by Bosch makes a great complement.

Great art-center! I liked their exhibition and performance with an old clock. An old man who works here is very friendly and ready to explain everything, talk with him. There is also nice booklet with all the info. You can go up to the top and see the city view. Museumcard doesn’t work here, entry is 10 euro.
Polina List — Google review
It cannot be a 5 stars just because there are no original works from Bosch.
The concept here is to have a look to the entire work of Jheronimus Bosch in one place to enter in the mind of the artist.
The atmosphere was amazing but you will miss the sensations transmitted by the real paints.
Do not miss to visit the top of the tower to enjoy the view of the city.

The originals are not stored here.
However a very nice place to see Jheronimus work, very impressive and disturbing in the same time. Truly a genius for that time.

Always a joy to visit this peaceful location in a busy city centre. A large collection of historical works, a tour through Brabant's growth over the centuries and consistently inspiring contemporary art shows, from both young creatives just starting out, through to established artists with career spanning shows.
I even joined up with the Museumkaart so I can return as many times as I wish over the year and other places. It worked out that after about 4-5 shows everything else is for free, and you can return to amazing places like this again and again. And support them too!

Brabantian Master Monument 'Jheronimus Bosch'.
In Spain the painter is known as 'El Bosco'.
However, it was a Dutch painter from Den Bosch. One of the greatest painters in Dutch history. The Jheronimus Bosch art center provides an insight into the painter's life.
He is often mentioned in the same breath with his contemporary 'Leonardo da Vinci', while he has a completely different painting style

Jheronimus Bosch (´s Hertogenbosch

To the West of 's-Hertogenbosch, lies a railway bridge which is now restored to a walking track. A well marked 5km walking route goes over the approximately 0.5km long Moerputten Bridge. A good place to take children but be prepared for the sun especially if going in the late mornings or afternoon, taking a cap and water to drink are recommended. Plenty of options for the walking enthusiast to explore. There are other walking tracks to take - see the map at the entrance for alternatives.

Very nice museum about the Carnaval tradition world wide and specialized in the Oeteldonk (s'hertogenbosch) traditions. The guide told us a lot and for the ticket (7 euro for adults) you get a ton of personal attention.

A local museum, all about the carnival in Den Bosch and beyond. The museum is quite small, but full of objects and panels. The guide would answer all your questions, which would add personal touch to your visit.

Hele leuke ervaring. We gingen enthousiast naar huis. Iedereen krijgt een begeleide tour door het museum. Dat is zeker wel het leukste van het museum.

Very nice experience. We went home excited. Everyone receives a guided tour of the museum. That is certainly the best thing about the museum.
A very nice welcome to the beautiful city of s‘Hertogenbosch! A dragon is such an unconventional and unique choice, and there‘s even multiple of them. Definitely stop by here on your way from or to the station! One of my highlights in the city!!!

The last thing I expected after stepping off the train was a golden dragon statue surrounded by a dragon fountain. Cool! And hot. 😆

Besutiful dragon fountain. The dragon in the top is gold plated and was built in 1903 to conmemorate the two twin daughters and wife of the former governor Bosch van Drakestein who funded the statue by a vequest wne he died in 1894. The dragon might have been chosen due to the surname of the governor (drask = dragon in dutch). Statue is illuminated at night.

First attraction when getting of the train at 's-Hertogenbosch. Amazing golden dragon and cool fountain. Be aware this is a busy intersection, safest is to just take your pictures from across the street.

Proclaimed "The statue of all Den Bosch' mothers in law". ;-)
Den Bosch which was a formidable fortress in the surrounding swamps back in the 17th century. That is how it got its nickname "Swamp Dragon" which inspired the creation of the statue.

Den Bosch, also known as 's-Hertogenbosch, is a municipality and city in the Netherlands that has a population of around 156,488 inhabitants. Besides its remarkable architecture and stunning cathedral, Den Bosch boasts numerous independent shops and excellent food that make it an alive and exciting destination to visit. With affordable hotels, this city can be an ideal stopover before heading down to Limburg.
Very good expo hall. Visited the hall for the house and energie exhibition which was planned by many energy and sustainability related companies of Netherlands. I believe they must be having other exhibitions as well. Good idea to have these expo halls in a small beautiful city.

We arrived at the parking lot around 13h. It was pretty crowded and the employees (in yellow jackets) at the parking lot waved and showed us the direction - the ramp was open, without any explanation about the payment, so we taught it's free. Payment was not mentioned anywhere, or the price per hour - nothing. On the way out around 16h - group of teenagers ask us for a parking ticket, standing by the lowered ramp?!?!?! They charged us €12 for parking! Totally disorganised. Unfortunately, the first impression is completely spoiled.

Good place for concerts. Sound is good but rumbles (it is a very big venue). Lockers are available (medium or large) for like 5 or 10 euros. There is a not of variety of drinks. Beer is mostly Bavaria. You can eat fries, but I think I saw on the menu a croquette on a bread and also something vegan (I only had fries).

During ComicCon we paid 12euro to park for 2 hours, while there was not a single sign saying that it was paid parking or mentioning the rate. We didn't even get a parking ticket to enter! The doors open automatically. At the exit, there were some extremely rude and loud employees yelling us that we had to pay on the spot. Scammers.
