The experience was a little bit underwhelming. We went there to fish using the traditional Italian Trabucco. In a nutshell, all we did was bring down the net, wait thirty minutes, bring down the net again, and repeat. We learned a lot of information about the history of trabbucos, and the guide was helpful in translating to english. But it felt a little underwhelming.

Mercato di Vieste is a bustling marketplace offering a wide array of local products and souvenirs at reasonable prices. Visitors can explore stalls selling fresh fruit, cheese, olives, pasta, oils, spices, and more. The market provides a vibrant shopping experience with friendly vendors eager to showcase their goods. While prices may be slightly higher than those in the Old Town stalls, the convenience and variety make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking authentic local items.

We booked a table for three and asked for a gluten free pizza in advance. Everything was in order when we arrived and table was reserved under the main marquee. All pizzas were good, including the gluten free one, actually the gluten free dough was very good. We also had a draught beer and a gluten free one, a nice detail. A pleasant dinner and good service even if they were all very busy. Price looked reasonable. I'm not giving 5 stars because I ate better pizzas cooked in wooden fire ovens, and they taste better. However for celiac people this location is highly recommended and make sure to book the gluten free pizza half day or one day in advance.

Bad Service: for a restaurant that charges the highest cuperto (mandatory tip) amongst restaurants, the service is the worst ever. I recommend you fire the grumpy lady at the register who doesnt even look at you while cashing, let alone a "thank you", a smile or some sort of a gesture of appreciation. The food was al right...still never again. There is enough worthy competition in this pitoresque little town.

Very rude staff, we sat outside at around 11.45 am. I ordered a coffee first and before I could mention the rest of the order, the waiter shouted this is a restaurant, you need to order food. There was a small bit of language barrier but I believe the term d*ckhead is fairly easy to understand. Should be noted that there was only one other table in use at the time. Even if I just wanted a coffee there shouldn’t of been an issue.

The only flaw is that the house was missing some essential products in my opinion, such as dishwashing liquid, a rag, garbage bags, things of that kind.

The outdoor patio is also comfortable, equipped with a table and chairs for a few moments of relaxation in the open air. I also appreciated the silence of the place and the immediate proximity to the beach, but above all I was struck by the sublime cuisine of the restaurant inside the village: breakfast is served and not as a buffet, but you still have the possibility to choose what you prefer . The restaurant inside the village offers exquisite meals, with top quality products and at a reasonable price. What I really didn't like, and which I pointed out to the management, was the poor daily cleaning of the rooms... unfortunately I understand that there are many rooms and that the staff was overloaded with work, but it would be enough to increase the staff even by just one unit, and perhaps the situation would change positively. The queue outside the restaurant lasts until closing time and the reason makes more than sense: the croissants are really delicious, also available in a two-flavour variant, with a crunchy puff pastry on the outside and soft on the inside, with creams that to define as abundant would be an understatement.
Typical desserts are also available, such as wafers and folders.

Good restaurant right on the beach. Sea food antipasti are good. Wide and interesting range of pizzas. Cocktail bar and beach club all in one place.

Closed-minded staff - teasing their customers for whatever request/order, keeping on laughing out loud, while looking at them in their eyes. So sad such people work in front of a public to serve them, while they should only stay home. So, my boyfriend and I have decided to leave there our money, which apparently is the only thing they care about, without even consuming their food.
We strongly do not recommend such a place if you’re searching for a nice, relaxing place to enjoy your vacation.

We saw the €€ symbol and assumed that it is an average-priced restaurant. We were a little bit surprised by the prices while already sitting at the table. Well, the photos posted online looked great, "let's have a fine-dining evening" we then decided.
But in my opinion the food and service didn't live up to their price tag, although the restaurant atmosphere was really nice. Only the starter with Iberian piglet in fluffy pastry was really good, whilst our second course dishes were so-so: the tuna steak was decent while the umbrina fish was almost cold and disappointingly tasteless (for 18€).
We ordered grilled vegetables and french fries as side dishes. The vegetables were bland and not seasoned at all. Maybe we got spoiled in another - way cheaper - restaurant, where we had fantastic grilled vegetables the day before. The french fries tasted good.
The waitress struggled with English communication but was friendly, one of the waiters just pulled away the starter plates while my cutlery fell down on the table, instead of asking me to put aside the cutlery, which I found quite rude in a restaurant with those price tags.
Bottom line:
* nice, but overpriced restaurant
* food taste can vary strongly between dishes

Disappointed!
Wonderful restaurant with a manager that understands little english and two waitresses that seem understand any foreign language at all. Unbelievable!
And you might expect some professional interest in how you enjoy the meal, but none of that!
Not once a question whether all is okay, tastes well, is enough, would you like a desert or coffee? There was a lack of it all!
We ate our meal that was really presented well on the table. Compliments to the kitchen, but not to the service.
To the chef I would I say: with a good kitchen and a classy equiped restaurant... you deserve a better staff.

Even though we had reservations and they had pizza on their Restaurant menu, they wouldn't serve it in the main room. We had to wait for a table to eat in the open air bar. The waiters too busy to check on us and see if we needed additional drinks. Will not go there again.

Almost midway along the beach, offers free parking of you use their beach facilities. They have a full bar with ice creams and restaurant. Umbrellas and chairs are numerous and comfortable. They have bathrooms and showers too. Thoroughly enjoyed it here.
Ristorante Piazzetta Petrone is a charming seafood restaurant with an unpretentious dining room and a seafront terrace that offers spectacular views. The menu features sophisticated seafood dishes that are expertly prepared, making it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts in Vieste. Although the prices may be slightly higher than average, the peaceful ambiance and unmatched view more than make up for it.
We tried this restaurant twice. The first time, we had lamb and the second time monkfish. Both were delicious, as were the deserts. An extra plus for the high-quality red wine we offered by glass together with the lamb. The restaurant has a wonderful view over the Adriatic Sea.

Food quite good but nothing amazing. The service is bad, they do not manage and do not have the basic habits of serving in a better restaurant.

Thank you!

The food aswell as the atmosphere and design of the restaurant were outstanding! But we were 5 male friends around the age 22-26 and we felt like we weren‘t taken seriously. A family that sat down 5 minutes later than us was served first, which we found to be disrespectful. Please improve on that!
