Szeged Zoo is a vast outdoor animal park that showcases various exotic creatures in their natural habitats. It provides ample free parking space and features a playground for children, as well as food options within the premises. The animals are healthy and active, and visitors can interact with some of them by feeding them special food. Szeged Zoo is an excellent destination for a day or half-day city break, easily accessible with well-maintained facilities that guarantee safety for all ages.
You have a lot of parking space there for free. We had a family ticket, 2 adults 1 child about 20€. It is worth every cent! The Zoo is big and has lots of animals. You can feed a few of them with special food. All the animals look healthy and are active. The Kids have a playground. You can also eat and drink in the park. We will definitely visit again.

Loved it! We went early in the morning & it was quiet, it felt almost like a private experience. Not once did we ever feel rushed by people.
Lovely open space, lots to explore & you can buy treats to feed certain animals.

A great destination for a day, or half-day city break if you are living close to Szeged. Very easy to find ,free parking and of course many wild animals .The place is clean , safe and well maintained and kids friendly. If you still have time, after the zoo, you need to go to visit the city center.

It is not the best zoo I visited but for sure is top 5 and I have seen many across Europe. They are very organized and the animals are treated decently. They also have a big variety of animals to impress you.

There are a lot of different animals here in large open air enclosures. I can recommend to visit when the weather is good. Alone or with family, both a good way to spend a sunny afternoon.

First visit to a Zoo with my three year old and it was a blast. All the animals looked very healthy (unlike some zoos I’ve visited in the past), place is clean, lots of shade from the trees since the whole park is in a forest. You don’t need to worry about the parking, there’s plenty of space and it’s free.

Excellent family day out. They have a variety of animals, including all the big cats, Rhinoceros, Elephant’s and Bears.

Great zoo. Beautifull place to visit, where you can see wild animals in their natural environment. You will need a lot of time to go around the whole park.

Fantastic as always. It was great to see the rapid development of the zoo, already in half a year. Even though I love seeing the animals in the wild, luckily, I was able to see so many around the world, I find the zoos a great source of education development. What more I could imagine in the future in the absolutely amazing Szeged Zoo, besides the huge variety palette of animals, to focus on sharing more educational information for the younger generations, evolve the knowledge through hidden "Easter eggs", surprises, extra features around the Zoo.

All-time favourite. The ticket is reasonably priced. Beautiful are with lots of trees. The animals have big areas to walk around. You can also adopt them. There is free parking outside. Great place to spend your day.

Excellent ZOO with nice and different organizations on very large space. Animals is in good conditions and they have enough space in friendly looking "home". Zoo is excellent for baby wheelchair. To visit and have enough time to see everything in the ZOO you need to come early at 10 o'clock and you need 7 hours for all ZOO (open from 9 to 17). You can pay a tickets in EU and inside you can use a bank card to pay for food and beverage...
The Szeged Synagogue, built in 1902 by Marcell Komor and Deszo Jakab, is a remarkable example of the Hungarian Secession style. This art nouveau building features intricate decorations such as tulips and peacock feathers, stained-glass windows from Miksa Roth's studio, and Zsolnay ceramic roof tiles. It was restored to its former glory in 2018. The synagogue is renowned for being the second largest in Hungary and fourth largest in the world.
The second largest synagogue in Hungary and the fourth largest synagogue in the world. An Amazing place that projects the ambitions of the Hungarian Jewish population for equality in the 1930’s.
Balint Karosi — Google review
The Szeged Synagogue is the second largest in Hungary after the Dohány Street Synagogue in Budapest, and the 4th largest in the world. The building's interior, with its 48.5 meters (159 feet) tall domed ceiling, draws on multiple historical styles to produce its overall Art Nouveau/Moorish Revival style. The rib-like wall above the organ has Gothic origins, while the columns supporting the galleries are Roman.
The interior of the great dome, and all of the building's stained glass, are the work of the artist Miksa Róth..The design of the Torah Ark alludes to the Holy of Holies in the Temple of Solomon by using sittimwood from the banks of Nile, the wood called for in the building of the Temple of Solomon in 1 Kings. The hinges are in the shape of the Hyssop plant, a plant used in the ancient Temple service. It is a 1902 building designed by the Jewish Hungarian architect Lipót Baumhorn (1860–1932), whose work is considered to contain the finest examples of the unique fin de siècle Hungarian blending of Art Nouveau and Historicist styles sometimes known as Magyar style.
Djordje Brkic — Google review
The building itself is beautiful. both exterior and interior. Entrance is not free, and if this bothers you, maybe you should skip the synagogue. One thing that is totally missing in my opinion is historical context or any sort of historical background. As far as I read on wikipedia from the thriving jewish community of 8000 pre world war II, only 300 remained. As far as I saw this was not mentioned nor any other historical facts about the community. Anyway this is not a museum just an interesting building.

One of the biggest and more beautiful synagogues in the world, this is one of the most important sights to see when visiting Szeged. It's about 10 minutes from the main city center. Unfortunately it was closed when we visited, but just seeing the outside is worth it.
Paul Heller — Google review
What a grandiose architectural achievement! It alone is well worth the visit to the small city of Szeged.
The dome is amazing as well as stained glass windows. Pictures simply don’t do it justice. Look around for ornaments and pictures of flora and fauna from Biblical times. Climb on the gallery and admire the organ, and view from above.
Amazing is an understatement!

Magnificent building and interior. Unlike the Catholic Votive Church it's not free to visit, but it's certainly worth the small entry fee.
Designed by the Jewish Hungarian architect "Lipot Baumhorn" it combines a blend of styles Art Nouveau/Gothic/Moorish Revival.
The beautiful dome ceiling with it's stained glass panelling is the work of the artist Miksa Roth.
The synagogue is the 2nd largest in Hungary after the one in Budapest and 4th largest in the World.

Magnificent work of art from outside and in inside as well .Highly recommend
Vuk Kirchner — Google review
Impossible not to be impressed by this building, especially as it is surrounded by residential properties in a quiet area. It's just magnificent and extraordinarily well kept. It is gated, so you can't really get close to it, but it is so big that you wouldn't really need it anyway. The are some panels about the synagogue's history, written in Hungarian and English. The Gothic details give it a fairytale look. I didn't quite understand how to enter: even if it was supposed to be open, I found it closed.

Looks amazing from the outside! Sadly we tried to visit on a Monday when it was shut! Advice: check opening times! Shut on Saturdays and Mondays.

Beautiful synagogue. There's 5€ entrance and it was worth it. The interior is just wow - the ceiling is breathtaking.. there's a small exhibit of paintings from holocaust in the back and it's very hard to look at...
Aaand it didn't stop some girls of taking selfies in there...
Sunshine Aquapolis Szeged is an energetic waterpark that boasts both indoor and outdoor waterslides, as well as swimming pools and a sauna. It's the perfect place to spend your weekend with family and friends. To save money, it's recommended to purchase full-day tickets which grant access from 8am to 8pm. The thermal bath area is particularly beneficial for overall body health and stress relief.
It's nice swimming pool to spent your weekend time here. I recommend to buy full day ticket because is cheaper. It's from 8 morning until 8 evening. I love the termal bath it's good to relax our body health and stress here. I am student and I paid 2700 huf/person for 3 hours only because I don't have a lot of time here.
Highly recommend to visit

The best of the best. Water park (for children) and thermal baths (for adults). Lots of water slides, thermal baths( kids can go to the baths too). On some slides height over 140 cm is allowed, but you can sign a paper and your child can go there too. We have been here twice already and satisfied beyond measure. I recommend it for families with children, but also for couples.

Excellent fun for a weekend! Great slides for kids (and adults), nice spa. We didn't try outside as it was cold, but the inside provided plenty of fun. Also, very safe - lifeguards doesn't allow any shenanigans and unsafe behavior, so you can let your kids roam free.

The aqua park is not bad but I was expecting more. There are a lot of activities for children, but not for adults. Of course everything is expensive, but you can bring what you need and reduce the cost. Check the bracelets you get at the entrance because it happened to me that it doesn't work and no one did anything to help me.

The place is very fun for kids because it has a lot of slides. Two of which are very big and exciting. The bars on the outside part are very good and have tasty drinks. They also offer big pools one of which has tunels. It wasn't too expensive for how much fun I had. In my opinion it is totally worth it. VERY COOL! 🌊🌊🌊🐳🐳

Very nice place to enjoy bathing, swimming and spending time with kids. Big territory, a lot of pools with various features. We enjoyed the most the outside swimming pool with hot water where you can lie on the water and look at the stars. while the temperature outside is +5 you feel very warm in the hot water.
We forgot some of the kids cloth and easily got it back the next day.
Maybe the only thing to improve is the quality of the food in the cafeteria.

A perfect get away from daily life, whole day with family, with a lot of fun activities. Lazy river, variety of water slides and gadgets, grotlo, green water pools with mineral water for elderly people or those that like 38 degrees water, outdoor pools, and many other things... On the last floor there is a good restaurant to have lunch
Sinisa Nikolic — Google review
This cashier is horribly impolite and dishonest and her English level is underground. This place is expensive, and as this cashier made me pay full price against my choice, I made a claim at the end and I can say the all staff I met is on the same level, the “director “ tried to intimidate me telling me I have been staying more than 3 hours ( He made me wait 30 mins his majestic appearance), the “security “ man came to show muscles or should I say belly as I was talking peacefully. Don’t go there for spa it’s outdated and expensive, They are making fun of strangers in Hungarian no respect of customers. Even if the summer strand is huge, there’s choice in Szeged. Avoid this person on the photo.

Good place for a relaxing day. Family-friendly with slides and many pools both indoor and outdoor with heated and thermal water, plenty of seats and a reasonable price for tickets. The whole place a pretty clean as well. In the colder season there aren't many options for food and it could use some care here and there. Overall, a good and worth it experience.

Great aquapark, has a lot of indoor pools, very children friendly with a lot of slides (suitable for both children and adults). The food availability is however a bit low, we barely found something ok to eat as lunch, it's ok for a quick bite though

Forras SPA - silent wellness is great! The only thing that bothered me was the wet floor. No one to dry it...I almost fell down, although it was not too crowded. I can only imagine in peak season!
Jelena Milinkovic — Google review
Great Aquapark/Spa for whole family. Plenty to enjoy for all ages.
Guests of Forras hotel can charge food and drinks on their room.
Most info boards on 4 lanhuages: Serbian, Hungarian, English and one more, possible Romanian.
Many slides, including europest longest. You need to take elevator to go up to tower top and take blue or yellow gygantic slide, always queue both in front of elevator and on top at slide entrance.
Lots of missleading info around - outdated prices of food on postersl, work schedule of slides that apparently is not true, etc.
Enough content for everyone to enjoy, from smallest kids, teenagers to senior citizens.

Nice place, plenty of sliders, hotel spa is also nice. Food options are a little limited but nothing too extreme. The downside is the fact that the showers newrby pools and the pools edges are dirty.

It's a beautiful place with magucal cave and a hot outside pool. The experience outside when its dark is priceless! Only it was pretty cold otlutside the pools in the indoors. The food is satisfying. Noone explains you how the things function there with lockers. It was too cold to stay until the end of working hours.

One of my favourite places to chill during summer in Szeged. The place is not the best but still, it’s not bad either. Somethings that can be improved are like the cleanliness, staff (should be more friendly or helpful), and add other activities for adults like make a small sandy volleyball area. But overall, the place is big enough to relax and enjoy the water. The pools are okay and big, the slides are good, a few choices and there’s also sauna that you can use, it’s just that it’s only one and I think not that enough. The food is a little bit pricey but that’s common, there is also gym that you can use. You should spend more than 3 hours here to make your money worth. A big advantage if you’re a student, mention this to the cashier and you’ll get discount.
The Botanical Garden of Szeged is a vast and tranquil arboretum that boasts a wealth of plant species. This gorgeous garden features an array of botanical attractions, including a butterfly house, carnivorous plants exhibition, and orchid greenhouse. The well-maintained paths within the garden lead visitors past streams and shady trees, offering plenty of opportunities to relax among nature's beauty. To fully appreciate the gardens' bloom, it's best to visit in spring or summer.
A very nice place to visit if you’re in Szeged. Plenty of different trees and plants species can be found here. There are also butterfly and orchids garden to visit. The place is not that big but very nice to walk around. It would take approximately 2 hours to cover everything or even more. A short bus ride from the centrum. It is a must visit place in Szeged.

This place is ok for children, couples, families and - for you! You can bring snacks from outside but you can buy drinks and local food here. There is parking in front of the garden. They have a large open-air area of Indian lotus. If you are lucky, you will be able to enjoy their bloom! Nature is so wonderful! For 5* this place needs to be better maintained. They have a small entrance fee (950ft per adult person, August 2020).
Szechenyi Square is a historic plaza situated at the heart of the city, boasting sculptures and seasonal events like Christmas fairs and summer wine festivals. The square is ideal for strolls, picnics on grassy areas (though watch out for dog excrement), and serves as a transportation hub for multiple public transit lines. The Regional Arts Center is a captivating museum built in 1907, showcasing rotating exhibits of artwork. The building itself is a whimsical masterpiece designed in the art nouveau style, complete with stunning stairwells and sparkling ornaments. The current exhibition, Horizons, offers an extensive survey of contemporary Hungarian art. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, this intelligent and diverse exhibit remains open to visitors. Additionally, the museum features a lovely café with tasty desserts and coffee.
My favourite building in Szeged that forms one of the many art Nouveau buildings on the self walking tour of all the sumptuous buildings in this lovely little city. There is also an art gallery within that is worth a look as it’s an airy and serene exhibition space. Nice museum, but quite small exibitions... it is the sum of hungarian national painting and nature exibition with additional rare Chinese Han Dynasty with terracota warriors and jade object from that period... approximately 2,000 years ago. A very rarely exhibited piece of full-body jade armor used in the burial of emperors outside China is on display at the second flor. You don't need much time... maximum of an hour, or hour and a half to finish the visit... as I said before, the exhibition is really small. Also... the wardrobe is free of charge and it's a self service. All in all, I sincerely recommend you to visit this museum, especially the current exhibition.

I strongly belive that, judged by the reviews of others, the church is fenomenal in its own right. Therefore the one star rating is more for the Serbian Orthodox church, over all, then for this particular one, however this one is no exception.
I have been to many, many churches, and i can not remember paying to get in to Serbian Orthodox church. Well here, there is a entery fee. The fee, regardless of how high or how low it is, should not be for entering the church.
Furthermore, even if we put a fee issue aside, it is hard to get hold of anyone.
Also, i belive that the contact email address, should be the one of Serbian Orthodox church, not the Father Dalibor's, private mail.
The above stated is addressed to Governing body of Serbian Orthodox church, to take this criticism positively and step up the game and ensure that people can more easy and with more admiration, approach our church and religion ,which, we Serbs are proud off.

Српска православна црква Светог Николе у Сегедину је једна од најстаријих грађевина подигнуте у барокном стилу. Храм који је изграђен од 1773 до 1781 године је један најлепши споменик историје Срба у овом граду.
