The Lyceum Theatre is an Edwardian venue with ornate plasterwork, showcasing a range of performances including drama, musicals, comedy and pantomime. Despite the challenges of Covid lockdowns, it has managed to survive thanks to its devoted audience. The theatre offers high-quality food in its restaurant and reasonably priced drinks. Visitors can expect to see a variety of shows featuring famous actors on stage. The friendly staff always ensure a warm welcome and guests leave feeling appreciative of their experience.
Great little theatre which has managed to survive through the Covid lockdowns. Good quality food is available in their restaurant and their drinks are not too expensive. A variety of different shows come to Crewe with many famous actors treading the boards. Been here many times and always an appreciative audience. Please support the Lyceum, check out their website and see if there's anything for you.

Recently moved to Crewe, love the local theatre.
The staff are really helpful, so far Fast Love is right at the top for a fun night out . He was amazing.

Been to a couple of shows at The Lyceum Theatre and the staff are always so accommodating. It was a very hot day and i had to leave the show to get a breath of fresh air. I was offered cold water to cool down and a nice chat with the bar attendant. The little things really do count!
It’s an old building and due to regulations they can’t change too much so just be aware that it might be better to call ahead of time if you have access needs.

A very lovely little traditional theatre. Staff are chatty and friendly. It's kept clean and doesn't look shabby. Would visit again.

Little gem hidden in Crewe.
We’ve been here for a few shows including Cirque The Greatest Show, Toast and the show about Dinosaurs. I would definitely suggest sitting in the circle seats as the view is great. Seats are comfortable. Staff helpful. Genuinely no complaints
Michelle Black — Google review
Nice size auditorium. Reasonable prices. Seats not great for larger people or those with mobility issues. Poor facilities, rather dated. Staff rather abrupt, although no wonder without any air con.
Leah Henshall — Google review
It's a nice little venue, but, the seats aren't great for individuals with physical disabilities or over 6ft tall, the bar staff were rushed off their feet and could've done with some support / help, the auditorium staff are obnoxious and rude.
I don't know who was to blame for the absolutely awful sound tonight (ELO Again).... Was it the sound tech or the venues sound system?
Mark Barnett — Google review
Nice old theatre, but limited leg room was made worse by having no noticeable air con in the main theatre, which was torturous in this hot weather we are experiencing. It was so hot in the upper tiers that people had to leave. The bar service was also among the slowest I've experienced in a theatre setting. This distracted from what was otherwise a great comedy night from Phil Wang!

Wonderful ballet in a lovely theatre. The Nutcracker here was as good as I have seen in the Royal Opera House, and the ballet matched that of performances I have seen in the Sydney Opera House and Metropolitan Opera House in NYC. The staff were incredibly understanding when my daughter who aspires to be a ballerina and wanted to see her first ballet (favourite movie is Ballerina, her favourite book is the Nutcracker and she attends ballet classes) had a meltdown close to the interval. We are sorry for the impact this had on everyone and have learned she needs to be a few years older to be immersed in a performance without feeling overwhelmed. In a few years time we'll look to come again.

Lovely theatre, friendly staff, reasonably priced tickets, had a great evening at Motown magic.

Never been here before. It is a lovely little venue in the heart of Crewe. You can even order drinks to be brought to your seat during the interval. Staff are fantastic.
Definitely recommend it to you, if you like real theatre!

Went to see Rocky Horror, really enjoyed the show. However the drinks were incredibly expensive (£9 for a single serve bottle of Prosecco!!) and there was not enough room in our seats. Legs were pushed up to the balcony wall in front and felt very squashed.

A beautiful, cosy theatre in the centre of Crewe. Multistorey car parking nearby, which is free after 6pm.
Only negative, is legroom, or lack of. Particularly in the front circle seats.

Atmospheric and functional space with ornately decorated walls. Wide range of live entertainment can be had. We saw Miles Jupp. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of drinks and snacks available from several outlets in house and reasonable prices. A great night out.

A charming little theatre. It has a very large and loyal following. Doesn't matter who you go to see, it's always packed. All the staff are so friendly and a lot are volunteers. A small restaurant for dining pre -show and a good interval bar. We love going there and it attracts major acts and names.

Fantastic little theatre. Seen many shows here. Blood brothers twice and the pantomime at Christmas 4 times. Always a great experience, all staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and always look forward to seeing a show here. Make sure you support the theatre here as it would be a shame to lose it like others have done recently.

Front row seats, next to the orchestra was a wonderful experience. First time I'd been to an opera, was a bit uncertain how I'd find it. I needn't have worried, it was an occasion I'll never forget. Special mention for the staff in the foyer and bar area, they were so helpful, friendly and enthusiastic, a credit to the venue. We'll be back.

Lovely staff. The best hot chocolate ever. It was not too expensive for snacks. Didn't have any alcohol so I haven't a clue about prices .

Excellent little traditional theatre. Staff friendly and helpful. Food and drinks available. Bit musty initially in auditorium but this eased as audience came in. Parking limited on site, but other car parks within short walk. Very professional show.

Nice location, seats slightly on the small side but a good view from all. Staff were good when welcoming in and scanning tickets. Free parking after 18:00 on the nearby multistorey car park.
Crewe Heritage Centre is a unique and fascinating museum that showcases old locomotives, signal boxes, model railways, and even offers train rides on weekends. The center is run by friendly volunteers who possess in-depth knowledge about the exhibits. Visitors can enjoy exploring the miniature train and sitting in the driver's seat of some of the displayed trains. However, there are limited exhibits inside due to clearing for an upcoming event.
A good day out with lots of hands on activities. Learn to control trains with signals. The APT display is fantastic and very informative. Friendly staff and a ride on miniature railway.

Visited on a early Sunday morning
Was here around 1.5 hours with a toddler
Shame cafe closed as that’s quite a highlight for a toddler. The train ride was good fun. Stopping along the way for photo opportunity sitting on the train cab. Most of the museum had been cleared out . Maybe for the car event that was due to take place so only a few things to see inside : needs more here to make a longer stay and please get the cafe or at least a pit stop refreshment pop up stand!!!! Thanks

Always worth a visit even if the locos within Heritage Centre don't change too often. The view of the mainline from the old North Junction signal box is excellent.

Brilliant place, would really recommend it. I'm not massively into trains or model railway's, but I loved both and speaking to everyone here. Everyone is down to earth and friendly, and there is a good variety of things to see and learn about.

Visited today for the MIOG Model Railway Exhibition and to take a look around the heritage centre.
Really interesting site, lots of locomotives and rolling stock to look at. Imagine my surprise to travel all the way from Devon to then find the Exeter Signal box here!
I spent a good hour in the signal box, thank you to the two chaps running it and for letting me have a go.

An interesting and quirky museum run by really friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. My son loves it for the miniature train and being able to sit in the drivers seat of a few of the trains in display there.

Really good place if you like your trains. Kids can play in the drivers can and some have working lights and sounds. Model railways, a cafe and superb viewings of the mainline trains and station.

I would like to give 6 stars. The kindness and enthusiasm of the staff is over the top, there is no question they cant answer. If you just a little but interested about the trains, you must to visit this place. It is not a big museum, but still best one I've ever been, period.

Great place to visit especially for the family and you love trains, plenty to see, café, toilets, smoking area, gift shop and parking, staff are friendly and helpful, there's even a children's area and there's a miniature ride on railway plus model train's display, viewing platform for watching train's coming and going from Crewe station.

What an awesome experience. Plenty of hands on engines to explore. Lovely café for toasties and drinks. Viewing location right next to the main line.
Go when the signaling box is open. Such passionate and knowledgeable volunteers.
The centre is a good walk from Crewe station, mainly due to the railway. Be aware you can't walk from the station to the centre.

Interesting place, but there were not many trains on show as when I visited it was a none event day. Great place to look at signal boxes with three different boxes to look at and explore. There were also demonstrations on how the Exeter box worked.
David Tutton — Google review
A great visitor centre, very interesting and great value. The APT is fascinating as is the signal box demonstration. We were there for a military vehicle display which was great.
Nick Smith — Google review
This is a brilliant place to go for train enthusiasts as they have many great and rare trains there, such as the APT, the nice thing about the Crewe Heritage Centre is that you can go into the cabs of most of the trains, unlike the national railway museum in York. They also have a fantastic shop which sells replica and genuine railway things, like lamps and depot signals. The viewing platform is a brilliant place to record and watch trains coming in and out of Crewe. They also have a small miniature railway that runs around the APT. This is all for the amazing price of just £5 for children and £7 for adults. There are also lovely volunteers and staff who are very helpful when visiting. This a place which I would definitely recommend this for any train enthusiasts. 5/5
Queens Park is a well-maintained public park with ample green space, designed gardens, a lake and golf course. The paths are spacious and ideal for outdoor exercise while the children's play area has been upgraded with more inclusive swings. Dogs enjoy running around on the open field, even if they get sidetracked by playful squirrels. Every season offers breathtaking views of trees that surround various routes in the park.
Not been here in years and I mean years. This is a place I came as a child. Some has changed and a lot hasn’t. The park is beautiful and well
Kept. There are plenty of easy paths around the lake and over it. A fantastic cafe too. A brilliant place to walk or run, easy for pushchairs and wheelchairs to. All paths are tarmac. There is an out door gym too.

A beautiful example of a Victorian municipal park. Wonderfully looked after but at the same time willing to let kids play on the grass and to hold multiple events every year. There are open areas, walks around the park and trees plus a boating lake. The cafe is excellent with both indoor and outdoor seating a great range of food and also guitars a well maintained toilet block.
Mark Ellwood — Google review
Free parking available, close to the playground, Queen’s park is a really good example of a large well design, well landscaped and attractive victorian park. Partly refurbished a couple of years ago, it’s lovely to walk around and a stop off in the centrally located coffee shop and cafe which overlooks the lake.
In the summer it’s great for picnics and to take paddle boats out on the lake. In winter there’s the magnificent firework display that shouldn’t be missed!

Very nice park. Plenty of space and different areas to utilise, children's park, lake with watercraft hire. Nice walkways, clean area.

A large lovely park. Really good quality well maintained paths. Great play areas for a variety of age groups. During summer the flower beds seem well thought out and maintained. A great cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus dog friendly and have toilet facilities. I would say it's slightly over priced if anything.
Car park is a poorly maintained with a lot of potholes and very muddy during wet weather. Free parking.
Several statues, clock tower, band stand plus the Burma star Island to keep it interesting.

What a lovely and almost infinite walk to a park that needs to be discovered, loved and lived. Plenty of attractions for the kids including some pedal or rowing boats plus it'll take you some hours to go around it and explore it fully. Nice finding

I love this park.
It is well kept and the paths are great and wide. They have added more outdoor exercise equipment as well as more items in the children’s play park including more accessible items like swings.
I like to take my dogs around where they can have a good run around on the top field and get occasionally distracted by a squirrel and they follow that but they are sad they are so fast and tricksy.
The park is beautiful in all seasons and has its own car park.
The cafe is great you can get all of the normal things and the staff are lovely.
The pond is a lovely walk and no matter how many times I go there is always another route around the park and the trees are beautiful.

Toms Tap and Brewhouse, located in Crewe, Cheshire, is a popular bar known for its diverse selection of beers, including unique flavors like creme caramel, coffee, and passionfruit. The cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating near the bar creates a welcoming environment for patrons to enjoy their drinks. Additionally, visitors have the option to take home draft beers or ciders in cans.

Very friendly staff, who welcomed us warmly.

Went in before the lights switch in and it's one of those bars that you regret not going to for the first time a lot sooner. Had a sample of a beer or two but decided to have the mango ice cream (weird name for a beer I know) but it was absolutely delicious. The gentleman was informing us of the events that they have in throughout the month which is also in display inside. Comfy seats near the bar that you just sink into and you can read from a selection of books on offer. One if the cleanest pub toilets I've ever been to as well. Definitely going to become one of the go to pubs from now on.

Friendly atmosphere, but no cask. All keg, but if you're OK with that, then it's the place to go for it. Excellent selection of dark beers always available. And if real cider is your thing, you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. That selection has won awards, and rightly so.

Been here soooo many times, might be reviewing here a lot 😅
Recently we had a great drinking day here and after we went to the Crewe match, we went back and got a few beers to take home. I was able to take home a draft mango cider in a can! The fact that I'm able to take any draft beer or cider home is just the best thing ever!!! Even if we ate drinking in there and don't get to finish out drink we will be able to take it home in a can to finish at home. Cracking idea!!
I'm much more of a cider girl and to be honest I've already tried everything in there and I love it all.
Please pop in here either before a football match or if you fancy a good chat with the staff. They have games and blankets for a few hours of good drinks and entertainment.

Lakemore Farm Park is a family-run farm that offers an amazing experience for visitors. The farm features a variety of activities, including the opportunity to pet and feed animals, indoor and outdoor play areas, crazy golf, a cafe, and an ice cream shop. Visitors can enjoy interacting with donkeys, goats, rabbits, alpacas, and more. There's also a play barn with plenty of seating and activities for children.
Visited this morning for the first time with our 1 year old daughter. Really good value for money and can stay the hole day. My daughter absolutely loved the indoor play area in the barn and the sandpit. There is plenty to do, staff are polite and will take the time to talk to you. We will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely visit to Lakemore Farm Park this week - its a great place for small kids and very reasonable too. We paid £4 per adult for entry and then there is also a little cafe for food & drinks, but you are also allowed to take in your own picnic. A good selection of animals that you can feed (alpacas, goats etc) and a playbarn with plenty of seating. When we visited some of the playbarn was closed for a private party which is a shame bit otherwise a great day out.

Sensational morning at Lakemore. Having never been before I went with my wife and 2 year old daughter. They have an excellent play area upon arrival surrounded by donkeys, goats and rabbits. It began to rain but no worries, they had an indoor play barn with lots to do including a large sand pit. There were plenty of animals to see and feed should you want to purchase some. The cafe is reasonably priced and the ladies working there were very polite and great with our daughter. They even ran some activities for the older children that were there too. The walk is the right distance for young children, the animals are in relatively close proximity so you are not just staring at fields waiting for the next animals to appear. Whilst you go round there are little slides or swings to keep the little ones on side and even a mini golf 9 hole course which you can use for the price. £7 for the 3 of us and a good 2/3 hours spent there. We will absolutely be back. Thanks for having us!!

Pretty appalled by the conditions of this farm park. The animal welfare seems to be non existent - ducks swimming in dirty water smelling of sewage, the poor llama with what looks to be a disease on its nose doesn’t seem to have much of an enclosure at all and whatever it’s standing in is overgrown weeds and tucked away in a sad corner.
This place could be so much better but I’m Afraid I won’t be returning until it gets a face lift.. cafe and public toilets included.

A lovely little farm, with very friendly and helpful staff. Booking is currently required to limit the numbers, so it isn't too busy. Good social distancing procedures in place and plenty of sanitiser, although I recommend taking your own if you're feeding animals. £3 entry for 3+ and adults and you can get animal food for 50p a bag. Outdoor play area is open and being wiped down by staff. There's also crazy golf which is included in the entry. Indoor play barn currently closed, as is the cafe but there are food and snack available from the outdoor hatch. Great for little ones. We've been before and we'll be going back again. Always a good few hours out.

Lakemore Farm Park, situated on Clay Lane, Haslington, Crewe, is a lovely little farm and an ideal destination for a family day out. Currently you need to book in advance to limit the numbers. There's plenty of outdoor seating with the option of buying food and snacks, aswell as animal feed for a fantastic price of just 50p per bag.
The animals were tame and really friendly and the kids loved getting to feed them, we particularly loved the sheep. They also have an outdoor play area, a playbarn (although currently closed), and a crazy golf area. The crazy golf could do with a little bit of TLC but in no way did it affect our enjoyment of playing the game, which was also included in the £3 per person entry fee. A great value afternoon.
All in all a fantastic experience made even better by the friendliness of the owner. We will certainly be returning again.
When people think of Crewe they inevitably think of the railways or some of the more informed will think of Bentley Motors. Well you can add Offbeat Brewery to that list. A small brewery slap bang in the middle of town, it serves a fine range of beers from IPAs through to Porters. Occasionally there will be something off the beaten track to tempt your taste buds as well. Did I mention that there is also a selection of specialist gins and ciders for the non-beer drinkers? Every first Friday is a special night where you also get to hear live music, and to quote Tom Kerridge "have some right tasty food". In a word superb!
Martin Edwards — Google review
Expect a real little working micro brewing with a bar built in it and that's what you get! It's about time bars brew there own beers that they actually sell on site, and this one does, bearing in mind this was a brewery first lol. If you like gins then you can't beat this place, I think there was 40-50 gins on the other week. Great friendly staff and owner, plus they put good bands/singers on every now and then.
Average Pies 🥧 but lovely main stand. Staff in the ticket office were very friendly. Enjoyed a pint at half time ⚽️

Not a bad ground, with a decent main stand. Quite a low attendance, but the fans behind the goal created a decent atmosphere.

We attended the macc vs congleton game
The atmosphere was good in the main south stand
It was easy to get in, and all stewards were helpful
Food was served quickly with a good selection of pies
Pitch is in terrible condition though, it looks like the south stand means not enough light gets to one half of the pitch.
Good day out thanks Crewe Alex

I was in the away end do as there were quite a few of us meant the queues for pies and toilets were a bit longer than expected. However, I think they had Wright's pies, which were pretty good. No away end will ever get 5☆. Decent close atmosphere.

Arrived in Crewe early after a reasonably easy journey. Good access to Crewe from the M6 from J17. The Stadium was easy to find and get to. Plenty of roadside parking and a number of car parks available including the stadium car park which is reasonably priced. Much of the Stadium is modernised. Away fans end facilities not brilliant and caused a few problems regarding queues. (Steak and Ale pie from the one and only kiosk was👍) 2313 city fans allegedly attended there appeared to be more as many could get their seats and the aisles/steps had many standing on them. I'm ashamed of the City Fans who used flares etc disrupting the game. My encounters with the Stadium Staff, Crewe Fans, and the Police were all favourable.
The Club shop was quite impressive for the size of the club/Stadium, it was well stocked. I have to admit it's the only football club shop where I could purchase a packet of porridge as a pre match snack.

Great little stadium. Always a great view wherever we sit! Staff are lovely and parking is never an issue. I feel like I'm a bad omen as every game I've gone to, Crewe have lost. Crewe draw or win when I don't go, so either a coincidence or maybe I'm a bad luck charm! For the good of the club and fans, I may avoid going to as many games! 😂 Despite this, I love each game I've been to.

Sort your stewards out! Carnage in the away area - serving people pushing in the queue , running out of beer, stewards doing absolutely nothing to split up arguing fans, not ejecting people who are being violent and aggressive, then on the pitch stewards just sitting back and watching fans abusing and throwing stuff at the linesman? Really nice ground but the away end is not safe with the poor security

It's not often that I go to watch Crewe play, but it's a nice stadium and good atmosphere. The rating is for the stadium and not the surrounding roads, which can get busy. Best to wait until a lot of others have gone if going by car.
Funsters Soft Play Centre is an exciting indoor adventure play center for kids during the day and transforms into a thrilling laser arena at night. Conveniently located just half a mile from Chester City Centre, it offers a perfect family day out. The play area is highly praised, especially by parents of toddlers who appreciate the extra activities provided during the week. The staff are commended for their professionalism and helpfulness in organizing private parties and accommodating dietary requirements.
Every single time I take my 2 year old he has the best time. We go on a Wednesday so it isn't very busy and the others that are they are similar age so it's good for him to learn social skills and sharing. The staff mix up the activities every week so he always gets to try something new. I think it can become a bit pricey if your also eating lunch and getting a few coffees but the food and drinks are nice so can't really complain!

Brought my 2 Children there on Tuesday and they had a fabulous time. What a great and well run facility. My daughter brought her drinking bottle which goes everywhere with her. A young lady came to our table and explained very politely that only beverages purchased on site could be drunk. I was happy to put my daughters bottle in my bag as I completely understand the reasons for this rule. The centre is staffed and operated very professionally. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Despite us spending extra money on food and slush drinks it appears the owner Kay is only interested in fleecing people out of every last penny. Another worked present was about to give the kids a glass of water and she grabbed the cup and tipped half away. Utterly disgraceful behaviour I will advising everyone I know not to visit this place and put money in this woman’s pocket

Great play area, best one we’ve been to in the area. My 2 year old loves it here, she really likes the rainbow bridge in the toddler area and making me go down the astra slide! In the week they put out extra activities for the toddlers. Alice was really helpful with booking our private party in Little Funsters and sorting out all the food for our dietary requirements (gluten allergy), they had lots of choice of gluten free food for us which was a surprise as many other play centres don’t accommodate this well

My partner takes our little boy here every Wednesday morning, and has done so for just under two years. Unfortunately, I have only ever been able to attend once or twice during that time, but today I took our lad whilst his mum was busy. The ladies behind the counter made me feel welcome and all took the time out to speak to our child who they've grown to know over the many visits he has had. Great team, great plac! We'll be attending for many more Wednesday's to come!

Lovely staff who told me which table to sit in so I had sight of both children wherever they went in the massive play area. Food is reasonably priced compared to most and was nice! My girls loved it and said its their second favourite (not top favourite sorry haha)!

Tried to charge a 2 yr old £12 for an hour as turned up half way through a session. It would be reduced to 5.75 for 45 mins but would have to stand and wait for 20 mins outside. Totally inflexible. No customer service or common sense. No care for a toddler having to stand and wait for 20 minutes. No parking either. Expensive and too many rules.

I don't often write reviews. However, felt I need too. I attended funsters in Crewe with my 8 month old little girl. Firstly, the bigger children took over the under 4 area with no one monitoring this. The bigger children were taking the toys out the area and throwing things. It wasn't safe on my opinion. Also wasn't very clean. I needed to feed my little girl and waited 40 minutes in the cue for food and drinks. A member of staff said she would bring over our drinks as I had my 10 year old with me. No drinks arrived so waited another 10 minutes in the queue in which time our food was cold. There was a mum screaming at her child. I unfortunately had to leave it was not a great experience.I so hope this review is seen by the company as to improve for childrens play experiences.

Play area is good, customer service is shocking. I concur with the other reviews…
Took my two year old here, she struggles with autism but is usually ok. She was tired today and we’d only been in the facility 10 minutes before she began to get upset, so being responsible I decided to ask politely if we could leave for an hour for her to nap before returning to have a play.
The answer was a cold no even after i explained we’d only been in 10 minutes. ‘I know you’ve only been in ten minutes I took your payment, if you want to come back it will be another £7’.
I’ve visited this centre quite a few times since moving here it’s a genuinely good play area, i’ve just been let down today. It’s hard being a parent, we all struggle sometimes and just require some kindness. It’s never nice knowing not only has your day not gone to plan but you’ve wasted some money.
Thanks Little Funsters, I’ll probably try GoodTime Charlie’s down the road next time. The staff there seemed polite last time i visited.

We attended the Halloween party which was amazing. Caring staff, clean environment. The only downside was food took a while and was a bit pricy! It hasn't stopped us though and we are going to the Christmas party too!

Kids had so much fun, place it’s really big and warm, food was lovely and fresh, smoothie was tasty and staff was friendly. Highly recommended
I had a wonderful visit to Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum, which provided a unique and interesting experience. The guide was both friendly and informative, allowing me enough space to explore on my own. The museum offered a good selection of intriguing objects and historical information, striking a perfect balance without overwhelming visitors with excessive reading material. Additionally, I enjoyed indulging in a delicious cup of tea accompanied by a crumpet while sitting in the garden. There was even an amusing photo opportunity in the restroom!
Great place to learn a bit about Primitive Methodism. We received a warm welcome with coffee, tea, and cookies. The guides were so friendly, showing us around the church and the collection of treasures in storage across the street.

I went, but there was a messy church service for children. I was able to go around before the messy church service began, thanks to the welcoming staff. I spoke Truth on my visit and unfortunately I upset a beautiful soul. I apologised but I know I cannot return here with my Wesleyan Revival, as times have changed. The Holy Spirit is in and around me, I am in the body of Christ Jesus, with the Saints, Martyrs and Angels, and the only God that exists (the God of the Christians and Jews) is above me. Jesus never preached tact and tolerance. Truth before unity! The Saints go marching on - to Zion!

I really enjoyed my visit to Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum. I was visiting the local area & like to visit somewhere different & interesting, this place is both.
The guide was friendly & informative, she then gave me space to explore for myself.
There was a good balance of interesting information without having too much to read. There is a good selection of interesting objects & history to view.
I enjoyed a nice cup of tea with a crumpet in the garden.
Fun photo opt in the toilet!!

Took the children from school today. They had a great time dressing up and playing with the old games and making dragons. Staff very helpful and fun. Lots of knowledge to share.

I use the main swimming pool facilities on a regular basis and enjoy very much.
During the school holidays is a concern where
family's with children, adult swimmers and learners are all crammed at busy periods.
Ideally an hour's slot chosen between 11am-1pm for adults would be good during school holidays and gives everyone a chance to enjoy the swimming facilities.

Visited the pool for the first time on Saturday with the person I assist as a support worker. While the facility seemed promising, the initial experience was marred by the cashier's lack of friendliness and understanding, especially for newcomers. After changing and showering, we were informed that the pool was closed for lessons, causing disappointment for my mentee, who has intellectual disabilities. I recommend improved customer service, including better communication about pool closures before admitting customers.

I would rate it higher if I didn't have children,
Unfortunately I feel although there isn't enough for families.
Only 4 family changing rooms. Locks don't work probably, when you have an anxious 2 year this makes it very difficult. The pool is good and clean and the staff are friendly, Highley recommended toddler splash

I go to Aquafit classes on a Monday and Wednesday. The class is well attended and the instructor is really enthusiastic and encouraging. The class lasts for 45 minutes and is well worth a try. Very refreshing in the warm weather too.

This place has rude staff, not to mention its Website is completely off the mark. This morning Sat, 16th March 2024. Lane swim from 7-7.45...General Swim starts at 12. So is the pool closed for 4 hours. Why not elaborate. Really bad overpriced leisure centre

Gym is fine bit small and gets quite busy. The larger blonde woman on reception is really rude and has zero customer service skills. I have been using the gym for a while and didnt know I had to scan in as I saw other people just walk in. This woman then randomly proceeded to screech EXCUSE ME you need to scan in! The second time round I did scan in but she had a queue of people and again she screeched "ER EXCUSE ME you have to wait im not on the right screen" i am not going to stand in the queue to use the gym?! No one actually has showed me how to scan in or use the barriers or tell me that it was essential to do so. The woman on reception is one of the most rudest unpleasant person I have come across and has a serious attitude problem. The way she speaks to people is vile. I was also once using the studios whilst it was empty and a lad said " can you get out as there is a class in here soon" i would obviously leave if a class was on. Thats just common sense.

Crewe Lifestyle Centre - Absolutely garbage staff. Refusing to cooperate and give full name to Confront issue. This is the second time they have made a big mistake which wasted my time by having poor communication with system management. The first time they stated I haven't paid however quickly apologised when I showed a bank statement and they gave me a extra free month in April. However, due to this today they Complained about not paying on April when they had given me that month for free and they even called me rude when confronting this issue, when I was calling my brother on the phone who oversaw all payments. One particular staff member refused to give me her name and cooperate she was blonde and particularly large. She even made me and my friends check our cards as if we're some shady individuals. After maybe 30 minutes the manager came out and sorted the issue which the particular staff member could not. I'm fuming and will not be using this gym again after this month. I forgot to mention this staff member who I do not know the name of. Laughed and giggled whilst giving me weird looks as I was walking outside calling my brother. I know this as a group of friends who were inside watched as she and a couple other members laughed behind my back. Therefore beware of the staff when joining this gym.

The male gym changing rooms are always full of 'kids' hanging out and they don't move when trying to get to the lockers. Regular checks should be carried out to move them out. Out of the two showers one has been out of order for 6 months and the one that is available the water just puddles where you stand as it does not drain away
Update
I felt the need to update my review after my locker (in the men's gym) was attempted to be broken into yesterday. This happened whilst I was in the shower less than 3m away and I was only in their for 4 mins max. I did receive a reply to my previous review and I can confirm that BOTH showers are now working but the issue with the teenagers still remains

Excellent service by Sue who helped us get my daughter into swimming lessons. My son also really enjoys learning swimming from Kim. Previous issue on buying certain activities at very specific times seemed to be down to an individual and this has been resolved with the manger.

Love my Aqua aerobics with Alicia on a Monday and Wednesday, Friday's it's Ann, both are amazing and make it fun. Tuesday it's Move it or loose it with Ann, this help keep your joints ect moving especially good if you have aches and pains. With both activities I do you get to meet different people and have a laugh. Best thing I've done since retirement.
Amazing pair in there today -solo visit on Sunday 19th. Extremely knowledgeable and passed on so much information about the box. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this, inside the heritage centre. Thanks to both for your insights and sharing your experience. Made the trip extremely worthwhile. Congratulations on restoring this box and the significant attention to detail. Keep up good work.
The Crewe War Memorial, revealed in 1924, showcases a bronze statue of Britannia on a stand. It is currently positioned in a better location and was well-maintained over the years. The 2019 remembrance parade was successful with numerous attendees who took time to honor those who perished in war. The landmark serves as an educational tool for children to learn about the First World War while enjoying refreshments at its vicinity.
In my opinion this is a really magnificent memorial monument which show how much it is worth for the people who live now. This Knife Angel was made from cold iron to blend with the knives which were used in the past crime scenes picked up from all streets in the UK and family members will never forget 🥹❤️

The Crewe War Memorial is a prominent landmark located in the town of Crewe, Cheshire, UK. The memorial was unveiled on 29th October 1921, and it stands at the center of the town's main square.
The memorial is a tall, ornate structure made of Portland stone, and it is dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. It features a large column topped with a bronze statue of a soldier, with a sword in hand and looking out towards the town. The statue represents the spirit of the soldiers who fought and died for their country, and it serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifice made by so many.
In addition to honoring those who fought in World War I, the memorial also bears plaques that commemorate the lives of soldiers who died in World War II, as well as other conflicts since then.
The Crewe War Memorial is an important symbol of remembrance and a place where people can come to pay their respects and reflect on the sacrifices made by so many. It is a significant landmark in the town and a reminder of the bravery and courage of those who fought for their country.

In my view as a Crewe, the Memorial is better in its current position and as you will see from the pictures, the 2019 remembrance parade was a beautiful day. Lots turned out and it's so important to take time out to remember those who are not with us today!

Hardly any snow about but main paths had been gritted. Lovely to see the birds on the partially frozen lake. Good to get out for some fresh crisp winters air.

£1 per person is a bit cheeky to walk around a lake. Bins full of rubbish, so the money is not being used for that. Next time we will walk around the myriad of free lakes in Cheshire.
All very clear and very up to date, lost to eat and drink, from pizza to coffee

A small mall but pleasant enough. I would say the prices are better at Sandbach Market on Thursdays and with being a big market lots of choices. Not really sure if I like the revamped Crewe Market and the steps near the piazza are lethal for anyone not terribly mobile.

Oh dear Crewe! Seriously needs two bulldozers either side of Crewe, flatten it and start again. Why build a bloody big multi storey car park? No one goes into Crewe anymore there is nothing there but aload of drunk Polish and pound shop

I have been working in the area and wandered through the shopping centte not for any specific shop but found as most small town centres now there was nothing of interest and may shops vacant. Most of the big stores were just on a retail park out of town
