Lichtentaler Allee park in Baden-Baden is a popular destination for tourists, known for its verdant gardens and landmark riverside walkway. The trail features oak and lime trees, as well as seasonal azaleas that add to the park's charm. Visitors can enjoy the calming sounds of the nearby stream and take in stunning views of historical structures located along the path.
Beautiful scenery. Totally love it.
I came in in winter, so it's obviously cold. I think it's better to come here in summer so that you can have a small picnic with your family.

I love Baden-Baden.
Lichtentaler Allee is such a charming trail along the little stream in the park
historical and magnificent structures are located beside it.
You will never be tired keeping walking on it.
I always wonder where it leads and how far it is.
apparently,one-night stay isn’t enough.
I wish I would go back to find the answer some day!

A long stretch of park in the middle of a city; what a luxury. Great to walk, relax, enjoy the plants or watch the expensive houses and hotels.

A beautiful calm place to visit. During Spring you can see alot of beautiful Flowers. During Summer we can feel cooler as there is a lot of green.

An absolutely beautiful, serene stretch of park along the Oos river! This is a must experience while in Baden-Baden. This tranquil part is so relaxing, calming and enjoyable, probably on any day but especially on a sunny warm weather afternoon. You should plan at least a couple of hours, walking the whole stretch or parts of it with so many spots to sit and take breaks. Hopefully these pictures do some justice to the beauty of the place!

So beautiful. This is a tree-lined “street” for pedestrians, carriages and bikes along the shallow Oos River. There are several hotels along one side of this alley. And to the other side the park extents to a bowling green. Huge trees, fountains, and statues. Hard to tell where one garden begins and another one ends. The Oos river is lined which is interesting, crystal clear and shallow with several picturesque waterfalls. The city museum is along this allee. I stopped there for their gift shop which was small but the staff spoke excellent English and encouraged me to visit the Gonneranlage as well since the allee led to it. Free to enter the allee. Great for all ages. ADA accessible. Shady on a warm day. Enjoy as a stroll or exercise walk.

One of the nicest river walks in Germany. Well kept gardens, beautiful buildings and picturesque bridges decorated with flowers and greenery.

The Merkur Funicular Railway takes visitors to the summit of Merkur, a peak that also offers stunning views of the region. The cable car is one of the coolest things in town, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Baden-Baden.
Amazing experience. The Funicular is so we'll designed and the view from the cabin is fabulous. One ride every six minutes like clockwork. A must do when you visit Baden Baden

A cool tram you can take up the mountain for just 4.50 per person. The cashier accepts cash, but there are also some automated machines you can use.
Restrooms available for free.
Snacks available as well.
Ramp for baby carriages and wheelchairs.
Elevators at the top, make it handicap friendly.

Train to the top of the mountain. Buying a ticket was easy at the ticket machine, cash or card. Wait for the next car was no longer than ten minutes, really. Room for about 12 people on there, we only had 6 on our trip up. Parasailers were on our ride, with their equipment, and there was still plenty of room. Lovely views through large windows both up and down trip.

I've taken this funicular countless times as I've grown up in this town. The newly built cars are a nice upgrade and I do like the vintage look. Take the cable car up and hike down, fun activity to kill time, even in winter. Prices are very reasonable for this historic funicular, probably one of the most reasonably priced in Europe!

Wonderful day out. A bit of a scramble after a 205 bus load of people try to cram in the ticket hall waiting to go up! No queues or organisation, just pushing and jostling! My advice would be - wait until the majority have gone up!! However, truly spectacular views are your reward after the remarkable and amazing trip up. Do try the tasty Goulash Soup! Friendly and very efficient staff work so hard up in the restaurant cafe. Well worth a visit!

It's a nice place for different activities. 1.if you like views, then it's the place to be. 2.mountain bike riding it's also recommended 3.if you want to go for a walk then that is the right place. For the train we paid 17.50 euros. Two adults and a 10year old, that is for to and from. There is also a restraunt there where you can eat as you enjoy the view.

This is an excellent place to visit as a family. There is the excitement of the funicular railway itself, then amazing views when you reach the top. There is a high tower to climb for even more amazing panoramic views.
As well as the nice restaurant at the top, there is a children's play area and trails for walking.

Nice to go up with the railway! Nice view on top! Recommend when you are in Baden Baden. We went on a regular week day, so it was not busy at all. When you go on a weekend or public holiday I recommend to buy tickets in advance

Impressive 360 view. You can either go there for hiking, biking, or just enjoy the view over the radio station.
Very easy with reduced mobility, with lifts.
The casino is a beautiful and luxurious place with baccarat and roulette tables. It's frequented by famous people like Dostoyevsky and Marlene Dietrich. The basement has slot machines for losers only, but it's still classy and stylish. The barman is also very cool.
We were here for a surprise 3 course Menu. The food was very tasty, portions not big, but big enough at the end of the evening.
Quite evening when we were there and they reserved a nice table for us.
Non alcoholic cocktail for my partner was surprisingly good.
Good place to stop before the evening in the casino itself.

Reputed as the most beautiful casino outside of Monaco, so something we had to visit when in Baden Baden. It certainly is amazing! Very pretty. The service is also incredible, a really luxurious feel about it all. We went over the Christmas period, so it was quite quiet, but still a very good atmosphere. Also highly recommend the restaurant inside; The Grill

Faaaantastic! We went to the Christmas Market and was probably in our top 10 markets purely because it had less crowds than the big city markets and the stores were more upmarket and not the usual same old, same old. Definitely worth a visit

Why it lost one start- Entrance fees are ridiculous for a casino- house wins plus drinks are properly priced so not needed if a dress code is enforced (to keep out no players or keep it classy)
Why 4 stars? Great building. Tables are nice and clean and well run. Table mins are fully reasonable (10€ for blackjack and 2€ for roulette). Bar has quality drinks.
Surprisingly on a Saturday was able to get on a blackjack table as well as a roulette table without a wait.

Beautiful casino which was an awesome setting for the company dinner. The game area itself had a slightly weird mix, some yuppies who seemed overly eager to show their wealth or show off in some way and some who looked quite miserable and were probably gambling addicts.
So the place itself was very clean, friendly and alert staff. The prices are very much adjusted and it felt like in Switzerland with 17€ for a longdrink seems like a lot for germany.

Impressive and beautiful historical casino. Stumbled across the casino tour by accident and we were glad we visited. Got to see the splendour of the lavishly designed casino which underwent renovations in 2016 and 2019. Retain their historical splendour. Having visited Monte Carlo was very impressed with gem of a casino. The restaurant inside the casino looked very nice although we didn't try it.

One of a kind casino. It is an art gallery with casino in it. Very well kept and maintained. I am not sure why they charge so much but I like the dress code

They will ask you to rent jacket if you are a man hist with a coat. For women they are flexible. So 10 euros the rented jacket 2 euros wardrobe, 5 euros entrance t start with. Roulette tables don't have chairs and you have to pay to drinks. So there is a negative vibe before you start betting. On the other side it's a magnificent building, nice atmosphere and playing in such a palace its an experience to live.

I came to the casino to meet someone awesome on what ended up being a very memorable date.
We went to the casino restaurant where we enjoyed various impressive courses including perfectly cooked steak with gold flakes, grilled veggies, sushi, tar tar, and some exquisite wine.
The location is very nice, and the people are very friendly.
Later on we went to the bar and joined a party and drank champagne with some very fun strangers.
Was an unexpected awesome night that I’ll fondly remember.

The Architecture of this Casino is gorgeous. You are playing with an amazemement on your surroundings. It's so classy. Must wear formal if you go there. No jeans or shorts. You can take pictures of the ceilings or walls but not when there are people on your way..They are strict on that.
The Merkur is a mountain in the Northern Black Forest, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. It is 668 meters above sea level and is well-known for its great views of Baden-Baden and the Murg Valley. There are hiking trails available up to the summit, as well as a funicular railway that takes visitors up to the top. There is also a summit restaurant, an observation tower, and a playground on the peak.
What a great, spectacular mountain!
Don’t forget to climb the tower that is on top of the hill! ( it even features an elevator) and is completely free of charge!! 360^ panoramic view from its’ top. Monoculars can be used for only 50 cents.
The hike up there is quite steep ( coming from Stauffenberg). It is however a great walking path right through the forest and once up there, you’re rewarded with a spectacular view!
You can also reach the mountain via car or cable car!

A cable operated train pulls you up the Merkur mountain overlooking Baden-Baden-Baden.
At the summit you have a wonderful 360o Panorama of The Rhine valley across to Alsace, France down to Strasbourg, further to the Voges mountains and you can see a huge chunk of the Black Forest below. Climb the tower or take the elevator then relax at the restaurant and take the trail and walk down to the city.

If you're a fan of modern art, you'll love the Museum Frieder Burda – it's an innovative and stylish museum that showcases the private collection of Frieder Burda. The impressive collection includes works by Picasso, Richter and more. There's also a sculpture by Joan Miro at the entrance.
Great and colourful exhibition of Margaret and Christine Wertheim.

The museum is immersed in nature and it has been an amazing setting to discover the work of Nicolas Party, which is pretty much rooted in nature. The synergy with his natural landscapes and the contrast with the apocalypse and the decay of things that is a focal point of the artist has been quite magnificent. I did feel that the exhibition is rather small and restricted for the price of the ticket - although admittedly Nicolas Party created a lot of murals specifically for this museum, and I didn’t love the museum shop. I wish there were items on sale that matched the exhibition and the modern spirit of it, there were classic things on sale that you could find in any store out of this museum. I didn’t have coins with me and I couldn’t leave my jacket in the garderobe for 1 euro. I wish in the future this kind of details will be modernized. All in all a pleasant Sunday experience and I would recommend visiting if you have the chance.

The two buildings are connected via a covered corridor with many windows. The ancient building is today a cafeteria. The modern building is the actual place where exhibitions take place. Very interesting architectural volumes in the modern building. Surroundings are the park of the city.

A very fine exhibition with some very fine pieces to see - a mix of modern art. The Transformers exhibition is also quite moving as you can talk to the AI robot in the main hall.

Being Scottish and therefore an English speaker - we would have enjoyed either a catalogue in English to read about the exhibition or a link in English to our Smartphones for the whole exhibition! 😏

This small modern art museum is worth a visit in Baden Baden. There’s always something new on. I saw the Transformers exhibition here, which was particularly interesting (robots!). You can buy a joint ticket for this and the more traditional art museum next door.
Jess Shanahan — Google review
We visited the 'impossible' themed exhibition. We bought the tickets online and received information of two guided tours at 11 am and 3 pm. Price for the tour were additional 4€ per person. Luckily we went there early enough (30min before start) as they had only limited places and we got the last ones.
The exhibition itself was not to interesting. Obviously every piece should present some effect how the observer is tricked. Still the single pieces had no connection and the guide tried hard to make it interesting but sadly failed to highlight or explain the interesting details. Topic on the otherside is also hard with visitors being used to all kind of tricks by social media. With a technical backround I'd say ten year old methods now sold as art.
The museum itself is a nice open building on three floors with a shared restaurant. It has no parking lots or signs for direction. Neighbors seem to be used to turning vehicles that notice the lack of parking space only when navigation tells them about arrival.
C. P. — Google review
What a fabulous little museum. Just beautiful. The staff spoke German, French, and English, and the permanent collection is very impressive to say the least. The standard-bearers of modern art are all there, from Pollack to Warhol, and in a way, it seems as if the Frieder Burda could be the sister museum to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

A beautiful and well-known waterfall located in southern Baden-Baden, Germany. The scenic cascade is surrounded by rhododendrons in early spring. The hike to the waterfall is quite short and easy, but boots are recommended as the trail can get muddy.
Excellent place. A nice circular hike in nature and surrounded by greenery and water. The view, experience and the feel is outstanding. Great walk with kids as well. You stop at many points to rest and enjoy the beauty. A must visit if u like nature.

Relatively easy hike with nice teils that follow the river up to the waterfall. Not too busy, even on a Saturday. There’s a little place to stop for some food and drink just past the waterfall before you head back on the Rundweg (circular trail) - though it doesn’t open until 12pm!
Lots more paths you can take if you want a longer walk too.
Easy to get to on the bus from Baden Baden. We used it to get there then walked to the waterfall then all the way back into town via the Panoramaweg.

Good place to walk for an afternoon stroll. I drove to the very top to park and walked about 12 mins to the waterfall.
The waterfall is small but beautiful. The walking paths were not steep (many families were out with small children) and relatively clear (a few slippery parts from the runoff from the hills.
I was able to get down to the bottom and actually get in the waterfall. Be cautious, there are a few sharp rocks once at the bottom. I would visit again, a good way to spend ~2hrs and just relax.

If you're a fan of old castles, then Hohenbaden is definitely worth a visit! The castle features beautiful views and a restaurant, as well as a wind harp.
Our family had a blast exploring and could have stayed here all day. This is our favorite castle hike. We parked at the base of the castle and still got a great hike in because of all of the trails, stairs, & mossy boulders to climb on. My tween boys loved adventuring through the tree lined trails and boulders. The views were stunning and the Hohenbaden castle was impressive & beautiful. Highly recommend for all ages.

Wish they would start asking for people to pay for entry, because of some people disrespecting the ruins by climbing on things and leaving trash outside of the bins. Aside from that, it's incredibly beautiful to wander around and take in the environment and peaceful atmosphere at the end of the day.

Amazing castle even though it has deteriorated. You can just imagine what it was like hundreds of years ago. The hiking trails leading out are amazing and if you pay attention you can see the history all around and with the way the roads were built. Beautiful Rock formations all around the trails. As an American visiting this place, it was an amazing experience. I walked/hiked/jogged from Baden-Baden and had no issues with the signage in German nor the maps online to find this area. This place was public/free access… aka no fees/charges for entry. I highly recommend going in the morning so you can look out over the area and see the mist, clouds, hear the bells from Baden-Baden, etc. There’s also food carts near the entrance with food and beverages, as well as a play area for children. The hike from Baden-Baden wasn’t that bad either. I went solo and had no difficulty finding the place nor did I feel like I was lost or anything like that. It did get rather quiet along the gravel path between the town and the area leading up to the castle ruins, but it was very peaceful. I would go back in a heartbeat. I went super early in the morning before anything was open/attended and had no problems or issues getting in as it appeared to be open regardless in the morning hours. If going here from town on foot like me, I recommend bringing water.

There are also toilets. These were also in very good condition.
From the castle you can take a hike to the Battert Rock or a short walk to the Bernhardus Chapel, which is located a little below the Old Castle. It is suitable for a family trip. Although I would recommend it for slightly older children and you shouldn't be afraid of heights.

Awesome Ruins, made a bit safer with railings so you can climb to the top.
Walk from BadenBaden is an effort, 3km, 50min, 230m rise & not the clearest to follow on Google maps :-(
The Festspielhaus Baden-Baden is a 2,500-seat concert hall located in the historical train station of Baden-Baden. It is a lavish tribute to Baden-Baden's musical heritage and has hosted opera, ballet, jazz, and musical events ranging from classical to pop. The acoustic quality of the venue is very good, which makes it ideal for enjoying concerts.
I am grateful for the theater's benefits for young people, and I have heard many impressive concerts here.

As a frequent visitor/ fan of the Stuttgart opera house/ the Stuttgart Ballet I had a high expectation on my visit to the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden. Yes… the ballet show „ The sleeping beauty „ on 8. Oct. by John Neumeier and his Hamburg Ballett was excellent( not perfect because some dancers of the corps did make technical mistakes), but the commercial and staff services didn’t match the cost itself. The brochure is a combination of all shows during the whole John Neumeier Festival, which means that the visitors have to pay 10 Euro to buy irrelevant information beside the attended show. Even for the attended show itself the references are also insufficient. Only the dancers on 7. and 10. Okt. are listed in the brochure and the visitors on 8. like me (and a lot) tried to search online or asked the staffs but in vain. One young staff claimed that somewhere should be a program introduction but it was a lie. Another old lady staff also had no idea about the dancers for that day and tried to asked her chef. But her chef was busy talking to the celebrity guests in the lounge (only who held invitation cards could enter in) and said he would come to us later but in the end NOT! Well, finally I understand that here is not really a place for folks and ordinary ballet lovers who only pay the ticket price. I would rather stay in Stuttgart - at least the dancers will be published on the wall on the show time, no matter if the visitors buy the extra (but can be less informative) brochure or not.

I‘ve attended an excursion around the building and was truly fascinated, can’t wait to experience an opera evening there.

The hall is a masterpiece itself. The sound is gentle and transparent; therefore, working here is an honor for every professional sound producer and recording engineer. The Germans definitely know how to calculate ideal space to play music. The reverberation time is not long; thus, the audience enjoys all nuances of the performer.

The inside feels modernised; it is comfortable, but it lost the essence of theatre. It feels more like a conference room. The sound is in point for performances and the inclination of the room is perfect. Seats have a proper cushion and the personnel are friendly. Would come back for another show.
The Kurhaus, a luxurious spa resort in Baden Baden, houses a casino and concert hall. The KHR Gastronomie GmbH is a German restaurant that offers dining options inside and outside the building, as well as an impressive array of features, such as a bar with lounge area Bernstein nightclub and lounge bar.
Beautiful place for a stroll , tour of the casino, gambling, amazing restaurant The Grill, Bernstein nightclub and lounge bar, great shops inside and outside the building and of course it’s also a theatre! Don’t miss it. Inside there are some hidden gems!

Last week we had a nice snack at Baden Baden Kurhaus. One enters the restaurant in a beautiful old classical setting. Nice staff. We opted for the typical German sausage salad served by hot buttered toast. A little culinary experience. Must try, recommended

In my opinion the top casino in the world. It fits perfectly with the little, beautiful city of Baden Baden.
In weekdays there are not many players. In weekends it gets more lively. The service is good. But the reason I give it 5 starts is its pure beauty. The playing rooms ooze history (Dostoyevski has played here). I don't think there is a more beautiful casino in the world. I don't mean architecturally (from outside) but decoratively (from inside).

The Trinkhalle is a historic building in the center of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, that was built in the 1840s. It is an elegant, sheltered promenade with Corinthian columns lining one side and ornate murals on the other.
Free and neat to look at. Didn't go inside or too close. Cute little "lock bridge" near it as well. Parking can be found sort of easily if you loop around for a little.

Former Trinkhalle (drinking cure hall/pump room) from 1839-42. Today an info center on the hall and other spas on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The fountain features non-potable water. Stunning artwork featuring subjects from mythology and local folklore on the veranda walls flanking the entrance. Spa-goer recommended.

I think it would be strange to come to Baden-Baden and not visit this complementary architectural style building.
Trinkhalle means (pump house) is located in the Kurhaus spa complex as the main building of the spa. The 90-metre-long corridors are lined with frescoes and benches.
Very nice experience indeed.

Trinkhalle in Baden-Baden is an exquisite gem that should not be missed by any traveler.
This stunning historic building exudes elegance and charm, offering a unique blend of architecture and natural beauty. As you stroll through its grand colonnade, you'll be captivated by the ornate frescoes and the soothing sound of the mineral-rich waters flowing beneath.
Whether you're seeking a leisurely walk, cultural experience, or simply a moment of tranquility, Trinkhalle delivers an unforgettable journey into the heart of Baden-Baden's rich history and healing waters.
Alejandro Arellano — Google review
Rising majestically above a perfectly manicured park, the Trinkhalle was built in 1839 in neoclassical style, an attractive addition to the Kurhaus.
It boasts a 90 m long portico adorned with 19th-century frescoes that refer to local myths and legends.
The healing mineral water flows from a tap that draws directly from the Friedrichsbad spring.

The Faberge Museum is a museum dedicated to famed jeweler Carl Peter Faberge, displaying his opulent works of jewelry, clocks and other items. The museum offers a romantic experience of time travel, transporting visitors back to a bygone golden age.
Overall pretty impressive history evoking experience, lots of interesting pieces to see. Only one or 2 Faberge eggs displayed, however lots of intricately done figurines to analyse. The exposition is manly localized on a single floor.
Entry tickets are 20€ (16€ for students) for the constant exposition and more for additional ones, which is possibly a bit on the pricey range given the size of the collection.
You apparently must leave your bulkier belongings (backpack) in lockers before entering, and there's also a cloakroom. Toilets available as well. Can get (mostly) kitschy eggs from the gift shop, if that's your thing!

James J (Just James) — Google review
Outstanding nice collection for those familiar with Fabergé and history.
In context of the ticketprice is reasonable too.
One⭐ less due to the lack of information.
Its too little, somewhat unstructered and often only in Russian.
Paco Ha — Google review
Expensive (€24 per person) for such a small collection (I'm used to giant London museums). However, this wasn't really unexpected given how rare and expensive the items are, and that this is a private collection. An unexpected, and wonderful bonus, was the personal guided tour we got by the lovely and knowledgeable guide.
I'm not the least interested in knick knacks but my daughter wanted to go, and to miss such a rare opportunity would be ridiculous. I'm glad we did, as the pieces do exhibit incredible craftsmanship, which is always a pleasure to see, although I do prefer the Japanese netsuke, ojime, and inrō from which Fabergé clearly drew inspiration.
Given contemporary events, I was also very aware of the parallels with pre-WWI / pre-Revolution Europe/Russia...Each item in the collection is a totem of the frivolous lives led by a class of people totally isolated/insulated from the suffering their parasitism created. Sadly, that class remains a problem, and continues tossing their money away on trinkets when it could be used to make the world a better place...The B&W photos of the Fabergé workshops and workers provide a very stark contrast - what thoughts must those impoverished craftsmen have had, as they toiled on golden pencil holders? Revolution, perhaps?
Z Z — Google review
Small museum full of pretty things. Nice QR code system in different languages. I imagine this is great if you’re already interested in Faberge but I wish there had been more history of the company to give some context to the items.
The history of the museum is worth looking up. It’s owned by a Russian private collector. Interesting stuff with a fair bit of scandal!
Jess Shanahan — Google review
First they don't accept ICOM members cards, the reduced price is 16 Euro. 95% of the descriptions are in Russians. A few objects of real interests but they are curated as at the flea market. Finally I found offensive the description of the pre-columbian gold pieces as "Aztec, Maya and Inca" origin. These gold pieces (which are wonderful) are clearly from Tayrona (Indian culture of the North Colombian Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia), not Aztec, not Maya and not even Inca. A museum can't afford to be so ignorant about the pieces they show. Last thing which bothered me was the desperate attempt to sell me something in the museum shop.

interesting museum that exhibits a beautiful collection of Fabergé's masterpieces, for the uninitiated he was a tour court jeweler and not only created the famous "Fabergé eggs"; for this very reason, in this museum there are tiaras, various jewels, silver wine decanters... in addition to the famous eggs.
The museum was born thanks to the works collected over the years by Mr. Ivanov.
Alina, an employee of the museum, speaks Russian, English and French and is very willing to tell about the exhibited collection.
This was the first museum dedicated to the works of Fabergé, then the one in St. Petersburg was created.

Expensive but worth every bit of the entry fee. I wanted to see the Imperial Eggs on display and I was not disappointed. There were only a couple of other visitors so I could take my time and study all the exquisite details. The breadth of the collection is amazing and I really enjoyed seeing examples of the work done by the Faberge artisans. If your phone has plenty of battery life, you can scan and learn about what you are seeing in multiple languages. Unfortunately, my phone was almost out of battery life at the time.

An incredibly huge and unique collection of Faberge eggs. Some of the easter eggs exhibited are the ones made for the Tsar's family.
Interestingly enough those were made in single units as a gift to either his wife or his mother. The degree of luxury is unseen.
You can see the very first as well as the very last Easter egg made by the Faberge family. Aside from the eggs it's also possible to see all of the other items made by the company.
Lastly, the museum guides are very knowledgeable about every exhibition item and will tell you the history and context behind it.
If you're in the area it is highly recommended.

The imposing church of Stiftskirche features an eclectic mix of Romanesque, Gothic, and baroque styles on its impressive architecture. The foundations date back to the former Roman baths and there are tombs inside the apse that are very interesting to see. The center of town is great for walking around and taking in all the beautiful architecture.
Nice church, it was closed for construction unfortunately
Attila Dóri — Google review
This beautiful Romaneqsue-style church dates back to the 15th century though there are records of a church in Baden-Baden as early as 987 AD. The structure was built by Margrave Hermann V (the Pious, 1160-1243). It experienced a significant reconstruction in 1867 that added a Gothic theme and more updates and remodels since.
I did not tour the cemetery (too cold today!) but this is the final resting place of the Markgrafschaft Baden from when Baden was a territory of the Holy Roman Empire in 1112 and eventually unified with the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1806.
The church is well worth a visit and a tour. It is open during the daytime.

I absolutely loved my experience in this museum. From the beginning until the end I was enchanted by the building and rooms...the exhibit is found with two rooms of a sort of artists’ loft, with other handcrafters and artists in the same building. The attention to detail in the exhibit is amazing and put together with so much love and attention. Even the bathroom facilities are decorated with a mural, beautiful furniture and plenty of Frida photos and memorabilia. I wish we had had a little more time, we arrived at 14:30 and left at closing (17:00). The booklet which accompanies the visit is very well written and I couldn’t stop reading. I will definitely be back for another visit to dive even deeper into Frida’s world. Thank you so much to the lovely man at the museum.

Pretty site that is worth a visit if you're in the area. I would recommend visiting this before or after the Merkur as it is a short distance from the Merkurbergbahn parking lot. We walked up the steep hill from the city center and it wasn't necessarily worth the strenuous climb. That being said, it is very pretty and relaxing. The fountains are as big as I was expecting, but rather a gentle flow of water. Great location for a picnic.
