The Rote Strasse is a charming pedestrian thoroughfare in historic surroundings, boasting numerous boutiques and art galleries. It offers a pleasant space for walking, shopping and dining, with a variety of options available. The street also features small shops that add to its old-world charm. Its beauty lies in the fact that it is a long pedestrian street where one can find everything they need from delicious food to beer or even bubble tea.
Classic Germany city atmosphere, clean, historic, quiet. It's a bit small, unfortunately there aren't many eating and drinking options.

Great museum!
If you are a student the entrance price is 3€ but if you want to go to this museum plus the one in the harbour you can pay 4€ and go any time in the next 3 months 😊
The exhibitions are great and I think you can see everything in one hour, maybe a bit more.
Karol Giraldo — Google review
It was way better than expected! Very well maintained and small so i would say perfect with small kids as they don’t have a long attention span! The price was really low
Entry 8€ for adults, kids free
sjc — Google review
Start at Flensburger Schifffahrtsmuseum, and instead of an €8 ticket there, buy a €10 ticket, which *also* includes entrances to both museum buildings at Museumsberg, viable for 3 months (ie you have 3 months in which to visit all 3 establishments). Value for money👍Museumsburg is in 2 adjacent buildings, the first houses the both the natural history museum and the Flensburg history museum, the second houses the Art museum. All are interesting for adults, although I would say the natural history exhibition is good for kids, but the other two (history & art) might be a bit dry for kids. My advice is to visit the original Schifffahrtsmuseum, and for (only) an extra €2 you can't go wrong with these exhibitions as well, located a short walk further downtown. A good value add.

We were practically the only two people to visit the museum. Of course it was a nice experience for us, but it is such a pity that not many wants to learn about the history and art of the city while a nicely prepared and well-kept museum offers such an opportunity.
We have skipped the first floor where the natural life and history of the area is exhibited, although it looked rather nice and detailed.
The floors upstairs have several small rooms where housing and furniture in the area from 17th-19th centuries can be observed, as well as a historical overview of the city can be read about.
The entrance prices are really moderate, the staff is nice, and the corona-rules are followed nicely.

Nice museum for a little Price. Différent things can be seen: painting (19th,20th), zoology, old house interior and furniture (16th) , it was interesting to see all of that but I wish i had more explanations in english
The Flensburger Schifffahrtsmuseum is an impressive maritime museum that offers visitors a variety of interactive exhibits, guided tours, lectures and a café. The museum showcases old ships and their parts, as well as an interesting rum machine. This highly recommended attraction is both informative and enjoyable with an informative movie available in English. It's a great place to explore for people of all ages, especially children who will love the hands-on experiences on offer.
It's fantastic. I enjoyed it and was surprised with all the old ships and there parts. Also the Rum machine. This museum comes highly recommend.

Very interesting local history museum, recounting how Flensburg grew with trade including the Rum & Sugar trades with the Caribbean, and how slavery was in the picture. There is a very entertaining 20 minute movie (also narrated in English), which really is interesting and well presented, as well as the static displays showing, for instance, how the town has grown over the centuries. Note that the entrance fee is €8, but for an extra €2 you can get a ticket which also gets you into the 3 Museumsburgs exhibits (History, Natural History and Art) a bit further downtown, also well worth visiting 👍

It is a quite interesting place where you can get info on the history of city and its marine heritage. The building is divided into three sections, each tells a story of the great sailor of Flensburg or their huge ships and mashines.
The CITTI-PARK Flensburg is a lively shopping mall that attracts customers with its retail stores, fast-food outlets, grocery store and boutiques. It is a spacious and tidy place but prices are steep compared to Norway where sport clothing costs less. The mall offers a diverse range of products for all your needs, including an impressive selection of beer and wine. Despite being busy, it remains a popular destination for shoppers looking for variety in their shopping experience.
This is by far the best place to shop near the Danish border.
I will happily drive from middle of Denmark to Citti to shop once a month.
- Very nice service!
- Clean and well sorted
- An amazing array of products in all categories.
Two thumbs up!

The facility provided by Citti Park is great for free. Can’t fault the huge number of spaces and it’s surprisingly quiet at night. The dump station is very awkward to use as opening is tiny. The main issue however is the clientele. Loads of motorhomes parked horizontally across 4-5 parking spaces. This is hugely frustrating and means that those parking appropriately are tightly packed.
Chris Fieldsend — Google review

Decent sized Mall - bigger than, but similar to, Forde Park, except the big catch-all supermarket here is Citti Markt, (whereas in Forde Park it's Kaufland). Bus stop directly outside (route 11, directly to & from downtown Flensburg), huge carpark, a couple of very big bicycle stores in the nearby vicinity. All the mall shops you'd expect, a decent eating area - plus the Citti Markt superstore is a very good and extensive supermarket, with 2 floors and a very good fish restaurant in-house (Gosch Sylt, also reviewed). Great produce and wine & beer selections, especially if you're looking for some *good* beer rather than the standard canned/bottled generic stuff. Recommended 👍oh - and the shopping trolleys are free, no need to hunt around for that €1 coin. Sweet as.

PHÄNOMENTA is a science museum that offers interactive experiments and optical illusions, as well as public lectures. It's an enjoyable experience for people of all ages, with a particular focus on children. The exhibition has many scientific experiments that arouse both wonder and curiosity in kids. If you're in the area looking for something meaningful and fun to do with your children, PHÄNOMENTA is definitely worth visiting.
Great fun for the kids and very interesting for adults. Opens up for a lot of talk and enjoyment, not only during the hours spent there, but also much later as the kids reflect over what they saw and tried. We spent 5 hours and didn’t manage to try everything.

The museum is a lot of fun and very hands on. We even had to take a break and come back because there is so much to see. Small remark: it would be fun to be able to read some more information about the scientific processes. Overall great experience

A fun filled experience for all ages, but for children especially. The exhibition with several scientific experiments not only make the kids wonder, but also curious. It is definitely a must go if you are in the area and want to something meaningful and fun with your kids. And do plan at least 3-4 hours for the visit. Stay curious and have fun.
Ankur Malik — Google review
Nice funny place to bring children. Not the biggest place, so you won’t end up having children, who gives up on the last part of the museum.
Normally not too full of people, but it’s a popular place in Flensburg, so if you’re planning a visit in the busy season, be prepared for some waiting time. Luckily it’s an easy place to navigate, and there’s lots of different things to play with, so if one things occupied you can easily walk ahead and then return later.
There’s a little place where you can buy ice cream, and enjoy food you brought. But don’t expect to be able to eat an actual meal, it’s mostly snacks you can buy.
Julie Tjalve — Google review
This place is great and definitely worth a visit if you have children. The exhibits are all hands on and give the opportunity to discuss various laws of physics with your child. The only thing that I think would be nice is the opportunity for a little more education/explanation the way a science and technology museum would.

Lots of fun stuff in there! The only problem is that there is SOOOOO little explanation of what’s going on. The signs basically just pose questions like “can you do this”. But then do nothing to explain the effect. Such a shame, this would be such an easy fix for them and would make the leaning experience so much better.

Bird calls, for example, would be great given the large number of birds on display. A combination of both would be the best (e.g.: Tirpitz Museum in DK, that was really impressive). Wide corridors, lots of space. There are also other interesting exhibitions.

(Translated by Google) Minus point because you don't find out beforehand in the information that you have to lock your bag. Minus point because you are not told that you need €1 for it. You can look at stuffed local animals, old furniture and paintings. There were only a few things that spoke to me personally:
- The lighting effects in the one aquarium where at first you really thought there was water in it. Optical illusions are cool.
- That 2 animals could be touched and - the corner where children were allowed to paint themselves and immortalize themselves on a wall.
Personally, I like “understanding”, participating and experiencing things better than just looking at stupid things.
The last negative point is because I personally don't find enough going on there.
