Not huge, but a lovely place to walk with several looped trails, both woodland and open/water settings. Gorgeous and ever-changing views. Many dog walkers. Park at the back of the golf club car park or walk up through the hotel entrance from town.

A beautiful and magical walk around amazing woodland. Fairy hunt with your children or just enjoy the views. My little girl loved it and we came back many times to see the fairies before we had to fly home

Park hidden behind hotel and golf ⛳️ yard.
Public parking 🅿️ available by entering golf yard (no signs whatsoever).

This park is nice but I won’t be recommending it to friends.
From the photos here online, it appears much bigger and more beautiful than I found it. (Of course, time of year is a factor here!) but I just found it to be a bit dull and much like many other walks. It is somewhat difficult to find, hidden behind a golf club without clear signage.
If I lived locally, I would likely come here for a walk but, as someone who came travelling through the area, it felt more like a mistake to have redirected to come here as it was nothing particularly special for me.
Lover’s walk is quite sweet and probably the highlight.

A really great walk and very easy to follow the signs inside the park. The views are serene. However, the entrance to the woodlands for cars is wrong on google maps. It instructs you to drive through the hotel carpark. The woodland itself is behind the hotel area, but you will have to park elsewhere outside. Pedestrian access is available through the golf course, but is also available behind the hotel. The attendants at the hotel are very friendly and are aware of the Google maps error so they will be able to assist further.

Very beautiful big park with woodland walks and riverwalks... Very safe ! There's an old boathouse that's used as bat sanctuary.

A most pleasantly peaceful perambulation... Alone, or with your dog/friend/partner/family/etc... plenty of nature's bounty to be discovered and appreciated :-)

This is like stepping off the main Street in modern Kenmare into ancient times. Totally unspoiled, almost untouched by modernity it is a peaceful walk where nature alone rules with some very careful help from the local community.

Very pretty park and nice walk, quite a bit of it through woodland and some uneven paths.
I actually found this little bridge to be quite fascinating. A mysterious structure just in the back of a neighborhood. There is a pleasant little green space around it and a bench. But the bench area was a bit messy, and again, you are sort of in peoples back yard to some extent. Despite some of the litter, I found the whole scene very peaceful, and the bridge itself very interesting.

Cromwell's bridge was supposed to be called "cromael" meaning moustache in gaelic. Supposedly build by Augustine monks in the 11 century.

Awesome stop to stretch and rest at a historic site.

Lovely setting, with an amazingly well-preserved arched bridge over the river on the western edge of Kenmare. The spot is easily accessible, yet feels secluded. We were the only visitors during our 20 minute stop, and it was refreshing to feel solitude in an otherwise busy area.
The name, Cromwell, refers to the shape of the bridge, not to Lord Cromwell. In Irish, cromwell roughly translates to 'moustache', and is a reference to the bridge's distinctive shape.

Beautiful old bridge dating back to the 17th Century.
Stopped in today and was blown away by the quality of work! The composition and sophistication were top notch - I'm exited to start following Norman's work.

Visiting the gallery was worth it for the amazing photography, but what we will never forget is how welcoming Lorraine was. We’ve never felt more at home browsing in a gallery. Maybe it’s an extension of how welcoming we found Ireland on our first trip, in general, but it also had to do with how uniquely warm and welcoming Lorraine was. Our framed photo and book was packed with care and shipped home for us. We’ll be back.

I have two amazing pieces of Norman. And are a foucal point within my home. Visitors call and are immediately drawn to Norman's work. My plan is to purchase many more..

We were mesmerized in Norman's gallery as we viewed exquisite works of art created through heart-felt photographs that reflect Ireland's landscapes. We ordered our favorite image to be sent to our US home. We recommend that you do the same and you will enjoy Ireland's beauty as we do every day. Thank you Norman for capturing the beauty of your lovely country and seaside. We will return for another visit as soon as we can!

Norman was our wedding photographer when we got married in Kenmare and subsequently we've bought a couple of pieces from him for ourselves and as gifts. We love our wedding shots but his photography of some of Ireland's most iconic landscapes is just so beautiful and unique. His gallery in Kenmare is lovely and really adds to the town - Really recommend dropping in for a browse!

We bought a wonderful picture of the healy pass at sunrise and the whole shopping experience was a real pleasure. Lorraine was extremely friendly and helpful and delivered the treasured artwork nicely and securely wrapped right to our holidayhome. We sure will be back at our next visit, thank you so much for everything.

Beautiful photography and Norman is so giving with his time. He talked us through different options suiting our spaces and is doing a mock up to help visualise the best pieces for us. His work is stunning and really captures the beauty of the wild Irish countryside. Would be the perfect gift for anyone interested in photography or Irish landscapes. Cannot recommend highly enough.

First spotted the artwork Norman had to offer while at an art fair in the RDS. His work caught our eye instantly. After viewing other pieces we circled back to Norman knowing that his art would be great for our home. Norman emailed us with a mock up of what the picture would look like on our wall and provided top service throughout the process. Our picture is hanging proudly in our home & completely recommended Norman and his work.!
This was a beautiful place! Very peaceful and we'll kept. It is a great place for prayer and reflection. I had a very difficult time finding it. The entrance is marked by a small sign right next to the entrance of Limestone Guest House. There is also a back entrance accessible from the car park of the funeral home.

The Lime Tree Restaurant is a rustic-style restaurant in an 1832 building that specialises in locally sourced dishes. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. The area can be busy, so it is advisable to book.
Everything about this restaurant was gorgeous - from the cozy, fire lit atmosphere in the old schoolhouse to the warm welcome from our server Lisa. Our group of eight chose the prix fix menu and enjoyed a variety of gorgeous dishes prepared by chef - sweet, seared scallops, and flavour packed duck croquettes; followed by the hake, steak and lamb two ways, each one of us finished their meal with a smile on their faces. Big thanks to Lisa for accommodating our post wedding group’s reservation day of, and thanks to you and chef for the lovely hospitality!

Loved this place. Scallops for starters amazing. Sea bass main superb. Nice pinot Grigio and excellent Italian Red. Finished off with a tasty cheese board. Best restaurant in Kenmare.

My fiancé and myself went for dinner about 3 weeks ago looking for something special to celebrate her birthday and unfortunately it didn't meet the expectations. I thought for the price, the presentation of the plates and the good reviews from the other customers I was picking the best restaurant in Kenmare but don't think I was right. The service was very friendly and the place is lovely but the food was very average and not well cooked. For a menu of 2 plates for 47,5€, you would expect much more.
We ordered a prawn cocktail which was extremely plain and smoked salmon which was also nothing outstanding. As a main course we ordered two hakes, presentation was great, but one of them was overcooked and killed all the flavour. At that stage we decided to go somewhere to take the dessert as weren't happy at all.

Great service and fantastic food. Black pudding starter was worth the visit alone. Seafood chowder very tasty, Fillet steak cooked perfectly as ordered. Busy little area and would advise to book

This was an unfortunate experience for us. While travelling to Black Valley for an overnight stay, we made a pit stop in Kenmare. The name and the reviews for the place were tempting so we went in with great expectations. The staff was nice enough to find us a place in their upstairs dinning area even though the place was close to full. And they were okay with us ordering ala carte from their set-menu. that is where the nice part of the story ends. We got a seafood chowder, which was pretty average - so not fitting the mage of the place. The dish that killed the mood was the chicken wings. It was supposed to be sweet and spicy but the sauce was just sickly sweet. When we asked if we get some chili sauce, the staff said yes, then took about 20 minutes and brought out more of the same sickly sweet stuff. I can understand if chicken wings are not too spicy to cater to local palettes but who is this sickly sweet goo serving? This was quite unexpected, especially when staff repeated it a second time after making us wait.

A perfect with a beautiful and fantastic menu. Definitely stands out in itself. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The food taste and presentation is absolutely exquisite.

The group had early supper here on a banking holiday. The upstairs room was mildly claustrophobic. The wait staff was patient and efficient. The vegetarian selections were limited and tilted to vegan

Fantastic food and wonderful staff.
A very warm and welcoming atmosphere on top of fantastic food makes this place a must if you visiting Kenmare.
Can’t be faulted when it comes to Covid 19 measures. Staff wearing face shields and good spacing between tables.
Food and wine selection is a winner and very reasonable prices for the quality.
Highly recommend and will visit again.
Pictures are of the scallops and lamb.

This place is so incredible - I think this is the first review I've ever written, its's that good. I was just meant to be driving through Kenmare but I was quite behind and going to be late for a work call I needed to take on wifi - and I was hungry too. I called this place up based on just proximity and the brief google description, and asked if I could take an hour-long work call which would go past their opening hours. They were SO accommodating - putting me in the empty upstairs area and logging me on their wifi. They knew my name when i walked in the door, I think 3 or 4 women offered to help with whatever I needed and put in my order right away. The food was incredible, and they even offered my extra food when I asked if they thought my order would be enough. I just never would have expected such kindness, on top of the already-renowned food. And the atmosphere... So cozy with the fireplace and light music. This was such a respite after a day of touristic driving and worry about the work appointment. Thank you so much!!

The food is delightful, the staff is friendly, kind, warm and outgoing. The owner has obvious pride in his creation.
The building is a little off the road, you'll need to keep an eye out for the signs on the roadside.
Limited parking.
A refreshing change of pubgrubs in the near vicinity, I very much recommend going here.

Lovely place for a special occasion, food was nice and well presented, good choices on the menu. I'd definitely recommend the lamb and crepe for dessert, not something I would normally get but it was a hit. Really nice location, downstairs probably has more character than upstairs but the building + garden are beautiful.
Wonderful intimate theatre with a small exhibition space. There is a weekly film showing and a variety of local performances and visiting artists. The Carnegie is another of Kenmares' hidden gems, run by a wonderful group of volunteers. Well worth a visit

We just loved this place. We saw several plays, and a concert here. The people were amazing and the talent was fun and interesting. The fees to get in were nominal. I think maybe $2.00 and $5.00. You could donate also. The building was originally Carnegie's donation in the late 19th century and early 20th century, when he was giving away his money.
