The Dom zu Fulda is a stunning cathedral with impressive architecture and a Baroque facade topped by a dome. Built in 1712, this former abbey church also boasts a crypt that serves as the final resting place of St. Boniface. It's an excellent tourist destination, particularly during summer, and makes for an enjoyable day trip in the beautiful city of Fulda.
Exquisite architecture and a feeling of inner peace. Would love to see a Christmas concert here.

Baroque church in the city center of Fulda. Nice light and details. Spacious, golden and not crowded. Accessible for disabled/wheelchairs. No entrance, no online tickets required unless you want a tour.

One of the best examples of baroque churches in Germany.
Stadtschloss Fulda is an extravagant palace that served as the residence for the Prince-Abbots and Prince-Bishops who once governed the diocese of Fulda. This historic site in Fulda, Germany boasts stunning architecture with a rich cultural heritage, making it a popular tourist attraction. The castle's audio guides provide insight into its origins and add to visitors' understanding of this magnificent structure. It is also a sought-after location for weddings.
Amazing! Just a beautiful Castle, with the perfect garden! It's really fantastic!

Well worth a visit if you happen to visit Fulda. Well restored baroque palace of the former Prince-Abbott, now serving as city council compound. Includes a wonderful porcelain collection from the Fulda Manufactory. They have a leaflet with a map in English but the rest is in German; I guess most Baroque art can be enjoyed without reading the captions.

The yard of the castel is wunderbare, the gardens lovely, sorry ,i went monday and the museum is closed, in french ,belle balade and till octobre an exibition of small geants sculpture

Given the position and importance of the former prince-abbots of Fulda, I expected something more grandiose. There we’re occupied offices where staff worked throughout. The rooms and decor were at times austere. The price of admission was very low less than 4E.

Outstanding palace both inside and outside. Definitely enjoying visiting it.
Misfit — Google review
Lovely palace. Well-preserved. I'm basing my review not on the beauty of the palace but on the functionality as a museum. Since the building houses city hall and office workers, you have to weave through some office space to see certain sites. There are no descriptions of the rooms or the very few items in the rooms. Not in English. Not in German. None. So I just wander about with a map in my hand to see pretty rooms. Otherwise I really learn nothing. They need to get a real museum curator in there to address the best way to turn a pretty palace into a real museum.

Great place to visit in Fulda Deutschland, it has allot of history and the audio guides helps you understand the origen of this beautiful Castle. It is also use for wedding.

Nice smaller baroque era palace. € 2.3 student ticket. Took me about 1 hour to walk relaxed through the whole place. Though, unfortunately not much info is given about the rooms or displayed pieces, and none at all in english. Still very nice to visit.

nice and very interesting, beautiful culture and mistic arhitecture
Simple and very humble dark-ages era church in Fulda. Really humbling to visit . The basement is preserved and has existed for a millennium untouched by wars. Really an important 15 minute must-see!

Very interesting church from the 800’s Carolingian style architecture. Mass Sundays at 7 o’clock

As one of the most important Romanesque monuments in Germany, the Church of St. Michael is a beautiful example of 11th century architecture. The church rotunda is already fairly unique, based one the holy sepulcher in Jerusalem, as is the cathedral in Aachen. The capitals and frescos point to its medieval past. Make sure to visit the crypt which dates to 820, one of the oldest pieces of architecture in Germany.

Unique ancient church, well restored and maintained. Small but really a must visit in Fulda
Alexander Perel — Google review
Beautiful church, sadly no photos allowed inside. It's not that often you see a church in the round, so it was a good place to explore for a bit.

A small Church that is quite old.
If you do go I suggest you check out the crypt.

Mainly catering. Nice to have been but not really recommended.
It has loads of artefacts from fulda and surroundings. Rich of local history. As a tourist
I was surprised to see that a museum doesn't have a description of the objects in another language than German and some of the artefacts don't have a year/century attached.
From maps is hard to see the entrance and we asked 2 people where it could be, being directed wrongly, it will be nice if the museum could add a sign on the street to point tourists to the correct direction.

(Translated by Google) Nice museum about the city's history in the historic building. The exhibits are attractively presented and it is not too packed. I particularly liked the scientific area. There are, among other things, research stations where children in particular can get active, and microscopes with which you can look at various specimens. The many dioramas are also great!
Tip: Free entry on the first Sunday of every month!

Kinder-Akademie Fulda, Werkraum-Museum gemeinnützige GmbH is an educational museum that showcases hands-on science and art exhibits. One of its main attractions is a human heart model that visitors can walk through. The museum offers informative exhibits and has a variety of cool activities for kids, including original handmade puzzles, toys, and riddles.
Interesting activities for kids and even Adults. It is quite small but enough to be pre occupied. We didn't see the big heart figure but it's okay.

Informative and educational exhibits. Both of our kids (1 and 6) loved it. It's too bad, though, that the "open heart" can only be visited with a tour and that tours have limited availability.

Die Abtei St. Maria des Benediktinerklosters ist eine schlichte, sehr überschaubar große Kirche am Rande des Barockviertels in Fulda und nur einen Besuch Wert, wenn man sowieso in der Altstadt unterwegs ist. A beautiful cathedral in a magnificent little city in the heart of Germany. I was so touched being able to visit the tomb of Saint Boniface, Apostle of the German speaking lands! The crypt church downstairs is where you can find his blessed final resting place.

Small but impressive displays in this museum. You can see everything in about 15 minutes. Weird price of €2,10. Only drawback: Photos are not allowed (so I was told).

Located at the Cathedral of Fulda. The Cathedral itself reflects the status of the city as a Baroque city. The architecture is a bit different from those of majority Gothic style churches in Germany. The museum is beautiful, contains only basic things you can find in many other churches. What so special is the building itself.

In Fulda, Germany, there is an outdoor swimming pool called Freibad Rosenau. Along with two indoor pools, this pool contributes to Fulda's reputation as a city of bathing. It offers a substantial range of swimming facilities for all ages and is popular among adults and children alike. Other nearby swimming options include Freibad Waidesgrund, SVK Schwimmschule Kunzell-Fulda-Petersberg-Eichenzell, and Sieben Welten water park.
A simple and recreation fit place for all ages in the middle of Fulda Germany
