The museum complex at Dmitrovskiy Kreml' is situated on a historic site that showcases an array of regional art, artifacts, books and weapons. The Old Russian fortress, which was made of wood and only partly survived, is now a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage with its ancient Uspensky sobor, originally constructed in 1512 but later reconstructed and renovated. The city itself boasts numerous hills that offer excellent photo opportunities.
According to legend, Dmitry Donskoy with an army in 1380. on his way to Kulikovo field. At the site of the future monastery, they stopped for a halt, and here the icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker appeared to him. He reacted to the icon with the phrase: "This is all sinning my heart." After these words, the place began to be called Ugresha, and the holy monastery received the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker.
The development of the monastery was facilitated by the royal dynasty of the Romanovs. They regularly came here to pray. Before the resumption of the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, the infrastructure of the village of Dzerzhinsky was located on the territory of the monastery: a school, a clinic for children, a maternity hospital, a health camp, a market, a skin and venereal clinic, private houses with gardens and communal apartments, workshops and greenhouses. After the transfer of the monastery to the jurisdiction of the Russian Orthodox Church, many buildings were restored, new churches were erected, a theological seminary was opened.

Historical place. Dmitrov's kremlin is a small one. Merchant's houses are getting fired. Somebody would like to build there trading centers. GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE CARE ABOUT THAT!

The museums may be small, but there is something to see. I especially liked the icons, porcelain, the skeleton of an old hut and the entire hut, moved one log at a time.

The museum Dom-Muzey P.A. Kropotkina may be small in size, but it is filled with captivating exhibits centered around the life and political ideologies of Peter Kropotkin. Visitors can explore his written works, original drawings pertaining to geographical endeavors, and other intriguing artifacts. Despite its limited space as a two-story house, the museum efficiently serves its purpose. Additionally, on the second floor, there is a reconstructed local history exhibition that Kropotkin once participated in.
(Translated by Google) The museum has a very small area, but it is full of interesting exhibits, both related to the life of Peter Kropotkin and his political views. You can familiarize yourself with some of the articles that he wrote during his lifetime, his drawings related to geographical activities, and so on. Of course, you shouldn’t expect too much from the museum; after all, it’s a small two-story house, but for its size it copes with the function of a museum very well. On the second floor there is a reconstruction of the local history exhibition in which Kropotkin once took part.

The museum is very interesting. One of the few museums of anarchists in the whole world. Would be just great to have more attention from administration.

(Translated by Google) I really liked the museum, the exhibits were collected with love and carefully preserved. The employees are two very nice women, despite the fact that we didn’t take the excursion, they answered our questions with great enthusiasm. The cost of entrance ticket without excursion is 50 rubles per person. They offered to watch a film about Kropotkin’s life in Dmitrov (about 15 minutes), in this case the ticket cost 100 rubles per person. On the 2nd floor there is a private collection of minerals and a retro museum (the museum as it was originally under Kropotkin himself). The museum in its modern form opened 5 years ago, in 2014. Across the road from the museum is a monument to Kropotkin, opened in 2004.

(Translated by Google) Of course, it’s more interesting on the 2nd floor, but on the 1st floor there are living rooms, antique cupboards, a piano, and most importantly, an awesome old Russian stove. On the 2nd floor there are many stuffed animals and birds, as well as stones brought from various expeditions. There is definitely something to see here!!!
