The Atatürk Pavilion, once the luxurious residence of the Turkish leader, is now a historical landmark that offers visitors an opportunity to tour its interiors and grounds. The palace has been well-preserved over time and visitors can purchase tickets on-spot to explore this exquisite piece of history. The tranquil atmosphere of the garden and picturesque second-floor balcony makes it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll.
Nice! But little thing to do: It would be neccesary to have more historical info in the house

A lovely building in a great location. There are lots of rooms filled with different furniture for different functions but not sure why it was felt necessary to fill so many with a table and chairs. Leave them empty or put some information on the original owner or Atatürk rather than - oh, another table and chair!

Normal place , garden is only nice the Ataturk Pavilion Museum or Ataturk Palace, visitors can wander around and discover what this house contains of amazing and interesting things and collectibles. This pavilion is owned by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the modern Turkish Republic. And its collections room, which contains many impressive things, in addition, they can wander in the dazzling outdoor garden that contains a water pool and picturesque wooded paths, and visitors come to this museum also to take wonderful pictures of this luxurious house.

This building that was a four-story was built in 1913, after the declaration of the Republic the ownership was passed to the Private administration. After Ataturk arriving in Trabzon in 1924, the villa was purchased by the Trabzon municipality for a gift to Ataturk. Then, the municipality was open the Atatürk Lodge to the public as a museum. This lodge is located between many pine trees and a spectacular view of the hill. Furthermore, it presents many memories belonging to Ataturk...

Small but a nice pavillion to visit. There was a man selling silver jewellery outside called 'Silverman' which was pretty cool and cheaper than the big store outside.

With a well-designed food court that caters to all tastes, Forum Trabzon offers a unique shopping experience where visitors can indulge in gastronomic delights while enjoying their shopping spree.
Such a wonderful mall , the outside seating area is nice , sea front , with the cargo ships visible from there .
There you will find different brands with reasonable prices and a decent variety of coffee shops .
While I'm not sure if they provide a space with no smoking allowed this might be the only downside for this place as the outside area is full of smokers , and as a nonsmoker myself it was annoying.
Still would recommend the place it's not far and you can get there easily.its currently 8pm and 25 degrees... Just perfect.
Just remember your gate as there is few different gates there .

Nice big clean mall in the city.
Free parking. Clean toilets.
Big food court area.
Good view of the sea from the Terrace area, but unfortunately, too many people, including youngsters in Turkey, smoke cigarettes, and I couldn't sit outdoors to enjoy my coffee and breathe clean fresh air.
The Mall should make a separate area for non-smokers.

The mall includes a lot of Turkish and global brands especially the sport brands like sketchers /adidas and other popular brands. If you are looking for such brands but the brands price are same as the brand original price or bit cheaper . Has a big supermarket with small bakery . An exchange money office / restaurants are few .

Good mall. Lots of authentic branded shops. Good food court. Polite staff and security.
We use a taxi service outside, in the parking lot, and it can be expensive 200 TL (11 $) for a 10 km, 10 minute drive. And it was a Dacia Logan in very poor condition, rumpled, without seat belts. We had to try to bargain.

Hagia Sophia in Trabzon has a rich history, having transitioned from a Greek Orthodox church to a mosque and then to a museum. The building is renowned for its stunning New Testament-themed frescoes, high central dome, and opus sectile pavement made of brightly-colored stones. Situated on a hill overlooking the Black Sea, it attracts thousands of tourists annually.
Zagnos Valley Park is a sunken city park that boasts several features such as an amphitheater, duck ponds, gardens and a restaurant. The park is beautifully designed and situated within a valley bordered by old retaining walls, potentially old city walls, and buildings overlooking the area. Alongside the river are pavilions, benches and wide tiled areas for children to play. Additionally, there are plenty of greenspaces with numerous trees making it ideal for picnics with family or friends.

It was a good experience. The only issue is that the written words are only in the Turkish language. So to understand what's going on, you will need some audio devices or someone to explain. The museum does provide you with these facilities.

I decided to visit the museum and walked through it with the help of an audio guide. The labels in the museum are all only in Turkish, that's why without a guide visiting it would be useless. The audio guide had some tricky headphones but after some time I finally understood how to put them on. The range of topics was really good: from historical themes to current economy, traditions, and nature--everything related to the Trabzon region. The place has a really rich history so it's advisable to get a dive in it if you happen to be here. Unfortunately my audio guide device got discharged closer to the end of my audio tour. The staff don't seem to speak English.

(Translated by Google) In November 2023 we visited this ancient Greek Orthodox church, admission is free. There are no people. A security guard came in after us, looked at what we were doing, smiled at us and left. The frescoes have been restored, the edges have been coated with a special solution to prevent them from chipping. The building is more of a museum, a historical landmark rather than a functioning church, but that’s in my opinion. I don't dare say so. A must visit to this antiquity.

Фрески реставрированы, края промазаны специальным раствором, чтобы не откалывались. Здание скорее музей, историческая достопримечательность нежели действующая церковь, но это на мой взгляд. Не берусь утверждать. Обязательно к посещению этой старины.

The masjid is as tranquil as one can expect from a place of worship. It is definitely worth the visit. I had prayed the afternoon prayer. During this time, it was not too busy. Parking can be tricky, I advise you to be patient and to drive slowly. I had missed the parking entrance a few times. I was grateful to have found it and had the pleasure of praying in this beautiful masjid. For non-muslims, avoid entering during the prayer times. Also, be sure to dress modestly. Women are expected to be fully covered, including a head scarf. Also, you have to remove your shoes before entering the masjid. You will mostly marvel in its beauty but won't spend too long in there.

Gülbaharhatun Mosque was built in a social complex near the Zağnos Bridge, to the west of Orta Hisar, for the memory of Gülbahar Hatun, the mother of Yavuz Sultan Selim. The mosque and the tomb survived from the complex; soup kitchen, madrasah, bath and school were destroyed. Sources indicate that this work was built in 1514. The mosque does not have a construction inscription. The mosque is included in the Zaviyeli Mosques group, which constitutes a separate plan type in early Ottoman architecture. The masonry is meticulous. Dark gray and yellowish white stone are used in the windows, narthex, arches and minaret. The mihrab is made of marble. The border borders are plain and the hill is vegetal ornamented. The pentagonal niche ends with a stalactite kavsara. There are two hobnails (rose decoration) motifs on their corners. The pulpit is marble and left plain. The classical period decorations of the mosque have been damaged. Today's decorations were made during the last repairs.

I was a bachelor student in Trabzon 10 years ago and this mall had newly opened. When I visited here later on I saw that many stores were closed and looks like it is a ghost town.

Third shopping mall of Trabzon is located in Atapark. It is smaller than Forum shopping mall. However it is cute and boutique. Furthermore, it is near to historical sides. Many historical places is located in here. Gulbahar hatun mosque, castlewood, castlemont, fascinating houses especially Kanuni House and Fatih mosque and park. Besides , Zagnos valley is in near that. I advice to tourists for visiting that area not only for shopping mall but also go around that area.

The worst mall I have ever seen. The electrical stairs not working, there is no working elevator, and the baby shop is at the top floor. How can you go to the top floor with a baby. The information ladies are so impolite and disrespectful and always talking to phone.

A small mall that used to be quite nice, but unfortunately now the place looks like a run down shopping place. Many stores have closed. Mado left too. Has good free parking in the basement.

Famous shopping center in downtown. Not big like others but it's easy to access in city center. Food court has local foods , fastfoods and cafes. Many minibuses pass it.

In the centre of Trabzon with good shops, Belediye next door. Nice to get warm in the winter and cool in the summer with some food or drink if you are walking around.

Old mall, need better maintenance. Many shops are closed. Limited parking
Trabzon is ironically known for it's natural beauty. The gardens showcase a wide variety of plants and fruit, vegetables and herbs growing in there. It is well-maintained and one can definitely see the green hands of the staff by the vivid colours that catch your eye as you stroll through the garden. It is undoubtedly one of the safest little spots for kids to play in or for a lovely stroll. It was quite chilly, since it is early spring. I would advise you to dress warm. Apart from the wonderous assortment of plants, there's a spacious pen housing a small variety of animals. Children will enjoy the play area. The cute cafe tucked in the garden makes for a wonderful afternoon. I loved the vivid tulips. The play area is spacious and will definitely have the kids entertained and excited for the day in the park.

A peaceful place to relax in the centre of Trabzon. It's green, fresh flowers a small enclosure for deer, some beautiful fountains and ponds. Refreshments and toilet facilities are also available. A good place to visit with the kids. There is a bus that takes you to the centre of Trabzon but finding a taxi can be difficult

Nice place to spend some break time after visiting Ataturk palace, you’ll see many kinds of plants and flowers that grows in Turkey specially in Tarabzon.
there was a restaurant and cafe as well as open area cafe that you need to find the guys to help you in your order 🫠.. I was annoyed by a guy that has deep wet cough and heavy smoking (3 cigarettes in a row🤢) I wish they assign special area for smokers far from this area where a lot of children and none smokers are there enjoying the fresh air and nice weather.

We visited in Feb when the garden wasn't as colorful due to the winter season. But it was a nice place to visit and would be even better during summer or spring

Good place to be in, have a nice time walking and running around.
The car parking is at the top, you should go all the way down walking till you reach the observation tower, the Cafe and the restaurant, although there are many entrances in the lower part next to the Cafe and restaurants.
The fountains were not working.
Being there in the morning is better than in the evening.
Didn't find toilets nor a mosque, I don't know if there are available somewhere.
There is a small playground for kids, but I would rather like it if it's next to a seating area for parents.
In general it's a good place to visit but not the best in Trabzon, it can be better

Trabzon Castle, a ruined fortress located in the heart of Trabzon, boasts defensive stone walls dating back to the Roman Empire era. While lacking detail due to its state of disrepair, it offers a magnificent and majestic view from its position near the valley. The castle is best experienced by wandering around with friends or family.
Perfectly good place. According to to document sources, the history of Trabzon goes back to fifth century BC. Most of the towers which are the oldest monuments of the city still survive today. The oldest part of the day's towers date back to 5th century AC in Roman period.

It’s a ruined castle, so do not expect much of details.
However, being close to the valley and in the heart of Trabzon gives this castle a magnificent majestic view.
Best thing to do there is to wonder around and walk with friends or family.

Please save yourself time and effort and don't come to here please. There is literally nothing to do or to read. Nice place to take pictures though (hence the 2 starts 😂)

Better view from further away. Less castle, more wall. A quick drive-by is sufficient.
Danielle Ceylan — Google review
There was no entrance for visitors to go inside
Sadra Heidari — Google review
There is “NOTHING” here except outer walls! Waste of time - Entrance was hard to find as there were so signage! But we could not enter into the castle as it was dirty and difficult to proceed due to unmaintained plants blocking the way! No Information displayed about the castle!
**Tourism ministry within Trabzon should restore such a historical asset and turn it into an attraction!

This castle is composed by three regions such as Yukarihisar, Ortahisar and Asagihisar. Its stones were precious and mysterious because they were come from the temple in about BC 2000 times. Besides there were many hidden tunnels and gates through the castle to the Blacksea. Many historical heroes lived there and now their souls still live there...
