The Audi Forum Ingolstadt is a museum located beside the Audi factory, showcasing a range of cars and motorcycles along with restaurants and an arthouse cinema. The tour begins on the top floor and covers the entire history of the car manufacturer, including its role during World War II. A rotating elevator featuring various Audi motorsport cars is one of the highlights of the museum. Factory tours are not part of the ticket but can be booked in advance during weekdays.
This was great to add to my collection of museum experiences. So far I've been to the BMW, Mercedes and Porsche museums so this was the cherry on top. I spent 5 hours here just like I did the others and enjoyed every moment of it. The front desk staff was helpful when I had a question regarding my rental car's refueling and parking. Did I mention the onsite restaurant is amazing? Well, believe it. It is. It wasn't your cheap restaurant menu it had a FULL buffet of healthy foods. Great way to refuel after a long day of informative adventures past and present. They have so many cars on display along with the history of the formation of Audi. That revolving elevator of cars is really cool. I'm excited to see what awaits as I got a glimpse of the future of automotive technology provided by one of the finest car manufacturers on the planet. Will I ever be able to afford one? I can't say for sure, but it's worth a try!

Not that big museum if you are expecting to see a lot of items inside (only two floors) but pretty enough for getting the first impression about Audi and its history. 2G+ is mandatory in these days.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Audi Ingolstadt facility on a midweek Wednesday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The museum, housing a remarkable collection of vintage automobiles, provided a captivating journey through the rich history of the Audi brand. Upon my visit, the museum exhibited a serene ambiance, as it was surprisingly devoid of a large crowd, enhancing the overall experience. The opportunity to explore the extensive collection of very old cars in such a tranquil setting added a unique charm to my visit.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the factory tour, which left me awe-inspired by the cutting-edge technology employed in the automotive industry. The precision and efficiency witnessed during the tour underscored Audi's commitment to excellence. The knowledgeable guides provided insightful commentary, enriching the tour with valuable information about the manufacturing processes and technological innovations.
The hospitality extended by the staff at Audi Ingolstadt further heightened the overall experience. The personnel were not only courteous but also demonstrated a genuine passion for the brand and its heritage. Their willingness to share information and answer queries contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere surrounding the visit.
I wholeheartedly recommend both the museum and the factory tour to enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
The combination of historic charm, state-of-the-art technology, and exceptional hospitality makes this destination a must-visit for anyone interested in the world of automobiles. Audi Ingolstadt truly exemplifies excellence in every aspect of its offerings.

The museum is next to the Audi factory. The tour starts at the top floor and it's walking through the entire history of the car manufacturer, especially the agitated period during the second world war. The highlight of the museum is a rotating elevator with different Audi motorsport cars. Factory tours are not included in the museum ticket. It's possible only during the week and booking in advance is recommended.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The museum offers a unique and fascinating insight into the history of this iconic automotive brand, and I was thoroughly impressed with everything on display.
The exhibits at the Audi Museum are both informative and engaging, with an impressive collection of historic vehicles and interactive displays. The attention to detail in every aspect of the museum is truly impressive, and it's clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating this world-class facility.
One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to see some of Audi's most famous cars up close and personal, including some of the iconic racing cars that have helped to cement the brand's reputation over the years.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt to anyone with an interest in cars or automotive history. The museum is truly world-class, and the experience is one that I will not soon forget. Thank you to everyone at the Audi Museum for providing such an incredible experience!

Quite a small museum by comparison, but they do have a couple of cool cars. They have a detailed history laid out with the exhibition, and would recommend taking the guided tour.

For an Audi enthusiast this is definitely a place to visit. It may not be a big museum but it does capture the history of the cars and surprisingly it wasn’t that busy. A few downsizes the gift shop I think is small than your average shop. If you want to do your the factory is better to book online as the tours get fill quickly. Don’t forget to present your parking card to receive free parking.

The museum is very interesting. From future to the past, from newest cars to concept cars and even the old ones. Everything is great and you can get inside even in wheelchair because there is ramp and inside is an elevator. Price for adult is only 5 euros for whole day.

Would have loved to have taken the full tour. I highly recommend booking it early so you are sure to get a spot. But just the walking tour was exceptional. Really enjoyed the layout and thorough presentation of all the facts and information. There are some great interactive videos and tutorials that describe the Audi automobiles. Again very informative and would have loved to get the full tour experience.

Small but with a nice collection of historical and racing Audi cars and motorcycles. The people there are friendly except near the closing hour they can’t wait any minute to throw you out of the museum as well as the shop. The Avus restaurant is highly recommended—food is great and pricing is reasonable, and the service there is great.

I would recommend visiting in the end of September or later, because the first floor, where the modern automobiles are, is closed until then.
There are not only automobiles, but also motorcycles and bicycles. You can also see how the different details of automobiles work.
You should schedule at least two hours to spend there, however it could easily turn into 3-4 hours. The entry costs 5 euros for adults.

It's a bit crowded around. Hard to find the entrance, and ticket office... But everybody is polite, nice and helpful!
The exhibition is exciting and interesting especially if you find a guide who tells the story behind the individual subject.
Good experience. Suggested for everyone who has the taste, love the fashion, oldies and technology.

Average museum especially in comparison with Mercedes and BMW. But still there are enough interesting models of Audi and Horch. Makes sense to visit in case you're a fan of cars, for the rest it may be not much fun. Also there is a shop with new cars next to the museum.

Brilliant day out, would highly recommend, something for everyone.
Factory tour was excellent, walking the entire production line and the gentleman giving the four rings history tour made the museum really interesting.
Staff very friendly and helpful, all in all, a great experience.

Great museum, different from any other car museum with the crane that keeps turning and showing different cars. It’s easy to follow, explanstions are brief and there are some amazing cars. Unfortunatley there’s a lack of modern cars and it is a bit small in comparison to Porsche museum, for example. But it is really worth it. I recommend to check the website first, since first floor usually has temporary exhibitions and you might find it closed. I highly recommend the museum if you are in Bavaria (Bayern).

The Church of St Mary of Victory is a Rococo masterpiece built by the Asam Brothers in 1736. I have been on a quest to see all of the Asam Brothers' churches, which are mostly in Bavaria.
The interior is lavishly adorned with carved stucco, marquetry woodwork, and gilding. The use of light colors and shapes inspired by nature are typical of the Rococo style.
The ceiling has the largest flat ceiling fresco in the world, and depicts Mary as Queen of Heaven and mediator of divine grace. Each corner portrays one of the four continents paying homage to Mary.
The Lepanto monstrance was created by Augsburg goldsmith Johann Zeckl in 1708 to commemorate the victory of the Christians over the Turks in the naval battle of Lepanto.
A sinking Turkish ship, the fleeing Sultan, and drowning harem ladies are depicted in intricate detail.
A monstrance is a vessel to display the consecrated host. The word 'monstrance' comes from the Latin 'monstrare', which is also the root for the word 'demonstrate'.

Amazing church with beautiful colors. Highly recommended if you visit Ingolstadt. It can be easily found due to its location which is in the city center. You can see how it looks from the outside in the photographs below and also there are some photographs from the inside. The cost to enter is 3 euros which is cheap for what you are about to see. I am sure that you are going to be happily surprised by it.

Needless to say that the touch of the Asams brothers leave you surprised every time you see their works. the entrance is 3.5€ cash. but its worth more the exterior os very simple but once i stepped foot inside, the 490 m2 painting on the ceiling with its meaning is more than impressive, of course the main aisle is something from another level. a vey astoniching church to the Holy Maru lady of Victory. A Baroque church from the 1700's.
david antoun — Google review
This church it's quite beautiful... From the outside it seems a little simple but on the inside its wonderful... Though a bit small.
Still, I really like the many paintings on the wall and the big one on the ceiling...
They also have some interesting relics and other religious stuff. The entrance cost about 3€ but I think it's worth it just for the beauty of its interior.

A one of the kind church, starting with the name, inspired not by a patron saint and closing with the stuccos. It worth a visit despite the lack of heating in winter and the limited visit time. The marquetry is splendid and I won't say a word about the unique ceiling and stuccos. Enjoy, 3 euros well spent!

Ingolstadt Village is one of the many Bicester Collection shopping villages in Europe. You can reach this place by taking a train from Munich. A return train ticket cost EUR29. From the Ingolstadt train station, you can take a bus to the village. The bus ride takes approximately 15mins. At Ingolstadt Village, you can find many luxury brands here...from Gucci, Prada, Bally, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Armani, Coach, Kate Spade, Burberry and many others. The retail price of products sold here is between 20% to 50% off the normal price depending on the season. Good place for chillax with friends and family or simply for some shopping therapy. One can spend 4 hours or more just to explore the village and to discover the bargains offered by the many retail outlets here. A must visit place if you're in Munich be it for business or leisure.
Danny Tham — Google review
Was a very great shopping experience! The place is actually worth the visit. It has a bit over one-hundred different brands which is good enough even if some brands like Adidas, Skechers, LV were not available. For sure it had amazing discounts like how an outlet is supposed to be and the staff in every store were very helpful and kind. It also has a very huge parking lot for people bringing their own cars. Too bad they dont have a lot of indoor restaurants for the people who come here and the food available were like currywurst and other german snack like food and they were like in stalls which had no chairs/tables. You can seat on the public seats around there but if it’s packed then you have to eat while standing… even if this is normal for german people, it is not for international customers who come here… so definitely have to work on that. Another very unfortunate thing is that going back and forth from Ingolstadt Hbf/Nord to the village there were only two buses in one hour and these two buses had like two minutes difference in departure time so if you miss these two you gotta wait for an hour which is quite long for these kinds of places. Although overall… great outlet for shopping!

Take a train from Munich central station to Ingolstadt NORD station, around 1 hour + 10 minutes with bus no.20, you will be there. A lot of shops with reasonable prices, cheaper than Munich central Marienplatz twice. Recommend for weekend short trip.

General outlet stuff, if you’re interested in a specific brand, ok but not worth the trip, hard to find sizes and not so many stores actually. Burberry have their outlet merchandise, not high quality like the regular store; Gucci has all logos and kitch stuff; Balenciaga staff are very rude (i saw they have speed and some nano city bags); Loewe has very old and really the last remaining stuff; at Tod’s you can find cute stuff; Jimmy Choo also have nice shoes options plus the girls are really nice; Ralph Lauren has selection but the store is a mess and staff rude; Nike is the saddest store ever.
There are one coffee shop, one champagne bar (which is actually more of a kiosk) and i think 2 restaurants, one “Italian” with pizza & pasta only and i don’t remember the other.

Really great park for morning and evening walks or jogging or running if you wish. There is an ample amount of space to do all kinds of outdoor activities for you and for the kids. For the kids you have to be involved as there is no kids activities area but an open space but big enough to make them run for long, play football or bring your dogs and play chase games with them. A beautiful park with a good amount of flowers. Overall a good evening hideout.
The Bavarian Army Museum, located in an old castle, showcases medieval armor and weapons, WWII artifacts, and other historical items. The exhibits effectively demonstrate the evolution of warfare in a Bavarian context. The museum gives ample space to each item on display, allowing for proper focus. While there is room for more exhibits within the existing space, the toy soldier section was particularly interesting and well-crafted. It is worth noting that a tank exhibit would enhance the experience for visitors.
This is a really interesting museum, it has a really nice exhibit starting from knights up to the world War...
I really like it, I was even available to wear a knights helmet replica and chain shirt... I had lot of fun and was amazed by the quality of the exhibition.. Everything is well preserved and with lots of interesting information...

Very interesting museum with a lot of different things to see. The settings were nice and pictured the use of items and the transformation of warfare, in a Bavarian context, well. My favourite part were undoubtfully the knights and 16th century weapons.
The exibitions were given a lot of room, which gave every single item the right kind of space and focus. As I see it, there's probably room to exibit more items in the existing space.
The toy soldier section, for all it seemed to never end, was very interesting and well made.
The only thing I missed was a tank. To me, being a foreigner, a german army museum without a tank is like a ship museum without ships 😉

It is not a monastery but the name refers to the majestic size. built and completed in 100 years. though the Two Towers were never finished with 62 and 69 m high. the Church kept its original architecture dated to the medieval ages and the interior with the main aisle and the altars surrounding it will leave you speechles. theres a small museum at the left end of the church for old valuables from the 1500's. a screen is installed with buttons to show you the levels of construction with the buildings part built and the date that took each to be completed.Impressive.

The seven-tower Kreuztor is part of the second Ingolstadt city wall built in 1363 . It is the only one of the original four main gates Feldkirchnertor , Hardertor , Kreuztor and Donautor that has been preserved. Very rude receptionist. When asked if we can communicate in English, we were presented with a single "nein", even though she was greeted in German, was politely asked about the language, obviously understood enough to answer, and there is very prominent visitor information in English right beside her.
Now, the museum itself is great. The ticket price (5 for a regular, 3 for reduced) is a steal for what you get: satisfyingly big and varied exhibitions of medical curiosities, art, history, artefacts etc. There is a useful audio guide in English but the scarcely translated texts on the displays leave a bit to be desired.

An excellent museum for those interested in medicine and anatomy and would definitely recommend visiting the museum if you are in Ingolstadt. There is an audio guide in both German and English, which is easy to follow. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It was really nice but definetly not what I expected. Maybe I misunderstood the concept but where I am from, medicine museums have cadavers for you to look into the body from the inside and to look into certain conditions and how they affect us. Westpark is a massive shopping destination located in Ingolstadt that attracts visitors with its wide range of retail shops, dining options, supermarket, casino and movie theater. The mall boasts numerous cafes and stores catering to mass-market interests while also offering free toilets and friendly staff. Visitors can take advantage of the huge parking facilities as well as additional amenities such as a gym and cinema.
Great place for family and friends with wide range of options - shopping, food, cinema, etc.

Fantastic sort of food choice. Specially recommended small craft bakeries with delicious coffee and great selection of pastries. Enjoy it while My Love explores clothing shops. At first floor on the left - Photograph Shop with very friendly and helpful staff. They are speaking English so not problems if you want some extra details about services.

Perfect complex shopping. Easy to find brands, promotion of clothes, perfume, cosmetic, shoes...

Shopping mall!! Good for an outing takes around 2-3 hrs if roaming around, majority of clothes shop, few restaurants and brand outlets. Go in season end to get some serious discounts.

Run of the mill indoor shopping centre, really. Too narrow in places which doesn't allow much distancing. Lot's of chain stores, far too highly priced for mostly made-in-China quality.
I did like the handful of individual boutiques though...Some are well worth being discovered.
I also liked the casual bars and cafés strewn in between the shops.

Good shopping complex in Ingolstadt with variety of sjops

Parking on site is for free and there's plenty of space. Also has decent public transport connections. The centre itself is clean. Nothing too fancy, but there is a nice variety of shops (stationery, cosmetics, electronics, restaurants, clothes etc.).
The Bayerisches Polizeimuseum in Ingolstadt is a captivating attraction that forms part of the Kombi ticket, offering access to two other museums as well. The museum staff are proficient in English and exhibit exceptional levels of friendliness and politeness. It is a highly recommended destination for visitors due to its remarkable qualities. However, it is worth noting that all the descriptions within the museum are exclusively presented in German.
The museum is really interesting and part of the Kombi ticket (7€) with 2 other museums. The staff spoke English and were very friendly and polite. Very good place to visit. Sadly all the descriptions were only in German.

entrance is 1€ on Sunday, small museum, around 40 min you will be finished. it is about the history evolution of Bavarian police since late 1800 till now, with different materials representing the daily police life. lockers are also with 2 euro and the museum is small.

(Translated by Google) Very nice museum, well done. Staff was friendly, no pockets with clean, but there are lockers. Toilets very clean.
Go to content. Are many interesting stories and exhibits. The last case was a bit disappointing for me, as the murder of Hinterkaifeck was never cleared up. There is tension over several rooms and then the case is not solved. Too bad. But should not deter from a visit. Alone the location is very cool.
For physicians, the autopsy kits and reports are very interesting.

(Translated by Google) The Bavarian Police Museum is located in the Tiva tower of Ingolstadt Fortress. It largely deals with the period from the First World War and the reconstruction of the Bavarian police after 1944. Unfortunately, you don't see anything really new. Modern criminology or the equipment of a modern police vehicle - none. But lots of old uniforms and old paperwork. The WAA Wackersdorf protests are the last events to be covered. The concept of the museum should be reconsidered.
Given the entry price, 1 euro on Sundays, children and young people up to 18 free, you can plan a visit on a rainy day (but you don't have to!)
You can also combine the visit: In the nearby Reduit Tilly is the very interesting Museum of the First World War. Across the pedestrian bridge in the nearby castle is the collection of the Bavarian Army Museum from the Middle Ages to 1914.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, the museum is completely outdated, the timeline of the exhibits is completely mixed up. RAF posters from the 1970s hang next to an Audi from 1997. Important sub-areas such as forensics, means of communication and, above all, the transformation into a modern protection authority are missing. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. The worst thing about the museum is the security staff who follow you wherever you go. You feel persecuted.
You want to read the description of the exhibits and are schooled in the worst possible way.
When you approach a VW Beetle with the description in tiny writing barely stuck on the windshield. We were there once and that was enough. We felt extremely badly treated, please replace the security staff or send them on a kindness course!

Loads to see, but the information boards are all in German only. A couple of the interactive displays are in a choice of German or English. The desk clerk had a guide in English that she lent to me, which was very thorough and informative, however, I believe there was only one copy. 6.50 Euro entrance fee was very good value.

(Translated by Google) Museum in a historic fortress ... uninteresting. I'm sorry, but despite the quite rich exposure it is ... boring. The 80s. Display cases, very long descriptions, only in German. Admission is more expensive than the Audi museum. 6 euro for an adult. Children for free. There is a souvenir ticket. Exhibitions behind showcases. Few can be touched, the child will get bored there. On the plus side, he gets a painting book at the checkout, etc. The service is very nice, he makes sure not to damage anything. There is also a section of the TOYS MUSEUM ... but ... there are only a few things behind the glass, everything you can touch is hidden because the corona ........ makes no sense. On the plus side, you can buy a Roman grinder for 7 euros. this is a cool thing. The building of the old fortress itself makes a gloomy impression inside ... some revitalization is needed there.

Muzeum w zabytkowej fortecy... nieciekawe. Wstep drozszy niz do muzeum Audi. 6 euro od doroslego. Dzieci gratis. Sam budynek starej twierdzy robi wewnatrz ponure wrazenie... potrzebna tam jakas rewitalizacja.

(Translated by Google) Tells the story of Ingolstadt and the region from Stone Age excavations to modern times. The tour is chronological, the presentation is more "classic" - exhibits with descriptions, hardly anything interactive. So a bit "dry", but a lot to learn there. Also includes a small toy museum consisting mostly of model trains and tin toys. Changing special exhibition.
Overall quite big, you should plan 3 hours. In summer the fortress is wonderfully cool 🙂

Wechselnde Sonderausstellung.
Insgesamt ziemlich groß, 3 Stunden sollte man schon einplanen. Im Sommer ist der Festungsbau herrlich kühl 🙂

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately a very bad experience. We spontaneously decided to visit the museum. There is an absolute ban on photos, that's really not acceptable for me. The reference to this occurs only after paying, very vehemently by the overseers. You can get a permit from any woman, was emphasized several times. Clearly, as tourists who spontaneously visit a museum, you get a stupid permit beforehand. Not recommendable!

Opinions differ on this topic, I prefer the traditional presentation practiced here without multimedia, without sound installations, with rather less text.
I prefer to look at the museum, not read too much, and prefer to do some research myself afterwards.
In this sense: everything was done right, dear city museum, just keep it up!
