Stover Country Park is a nature reserve encompassing 114 acres of varied habitats such as forest, grass, heathland, lake and marsh. Visitors pay for parking to gain access to the park where they can explore and enjoy the aerial boardwalk and bird hide. Although the visitor center may be closed in 2021, there are toilets available for use. The park features easy-to-follow routes that are suitable for pushchairs and trampers with a flat heritage route.
A beautiful Country Park to visit that has easy routes to follow. Car parking charges apply but very reasonable for staying all day. The heritage route we followed was mainly flat and suitable for pushchairs and trampers. Theirs a beautiful pond and interesting poems to read, lots of nature to see. You won't be disappointed! A small van to buy tea, coffee and yummy cakes and also a small visitors centre with toilets attached.

Lovely sunny 🌞 morning, arrived at the park before 7am our favourite time to be there as lovely and quiet. To be honest now is not the best time to visit as there's a lot of work going on restoring the lake and woodlands so not as pretty as usual and I think a lot of the wildlife have retreated away from the main lake to quieter and more secluded parts of the park but it was still a lovely walk and very interesting to see what was talking place.

Really great winters day walk. Stover Country Park is lovely, you can choose the distance that you want to walk, most people choose to walk around the lake. There you'll see numerous wild fowl such as Mandarin Ducks, Mallard ducks, Coots, Moorhens, Swans and Grebes.
Dogs are welcome but remember to keep them on a lead when around the lake. There are other off shoots here and there, such as a trail leading to a WW1 memorial to the Canadian lumberjacks who worked in Stover to supply wood to the allied troops.

Beautiful park. Clean toilets, plenty of outsider space to run about and explore. Children can make dens in the woods and feed the ducks.
There are regular activities organised by the rangers: we did a Halloween hunt yesterday.
Car parking is plentiful, but it does get busy. There is usually a coffee van at the weekend and during school holidays.

This is our go to area for a walk, it’s great in all seasons. Wildlife is ripe, and the ducks and squirrels are very tame. Has its own live in swans who regularly have signets with them each year. Children love exploring, and there’s recently been a mobile coffee shop pop up in the car park which makes for a nice hot drink on an autumnal day

Fully accessible beautiful walk around a lake, including an aerial walkway. Walk can be extended by taking the heritage trail up to a Canadian memorial sculpture (this section would not be wheelchair suitable). Interesting information boards (covering nature and history dotted around). Parking £1.75 for 2 hours or £3.50 for the whole day. We spent about 2.5 hours. Decent toilets, picnic area and whilst we were there, a high-end coffee van selling homemade tray bakes too.

Very small car parks! Some building work happening which i think one car park closed. Disabled friendly? If you have an all terrain chair maybe. Otherwise proceed with caution. That said, very nice place. Lots of wildlife, lakes, trees and plants. Maybe 5 stars when work is done....
Anthony Barnett — Google review
Very relaxing place to get some fresh air. Plenty of place to sit and chill. Squirrels everywhere, good place to take photos of birds with good cameras. A lot of people bringing their dogs for walks which was really nice to see.
Andrea Blakemore — Google review
Really tranquil place to walk the dog. A large woodland walk is set around a grand lake. With many species of birds and wildlife. The squirrels have become quite used to people here and will quite happily scurry around your feet foraging. There have been adaptations for all ages around the area such as information boards, carved sculptures, miniature trails and memorial statues. There has been a lot of beneficial, ecological , deforestation which can look a bit jarring if you're not used to it, at least until the new vegetation grows. You do have to wander with the large commercial outlet just round the corner how much really was necessary and how much may help future development. But for now it's a really relaxing couple of hours stroll.

Lovely place for a walk. Maybe take a picnic etc. Nice walks. Also a cycle track. Lots of wildlife, many many birds. Very very scenic.
Also plenty of well laid out parking and reasonable charges. £1.90 for 2 hours

Stover country park is beautiful.
Great walks around the lake and woods.
Dogs love it too.
Also a treat in the car park fantastic coffee van and nice cakes just to finish off your day.

We visit Stover regularly and absolutely love the place. Have the opportunity to get so close , and interact with, nature is such a great privilege and clears away any stress etc in a flash.
The lake is being dredged and the ensuing silt being used to help with the current landscaping and replanting project that is underway so be prepared for slightly less access than normal. It doesn't, however lessen the amazingly positive impact a visit will have on your mental wellbeing.
Mino Taur — Google review
We really enjoy visits here. All the kids like to wander around the lake as well. The walkway above the squirrels is great and so many different birds to see.
Paul Morris — Google review
Lots of regenerative work going on around the park at the moment, but the wildlife is still there. We saw cygnets and moorhen chicks around the lake, lots of friendly squirrels (and the odd rat) about the place. Everywhere was clean and with lots of bins dotted around the picnic areas. Very level for wheelchair users around the lake, the path is compressed hardcore, tarmac and wooden bridges. The car park however is very uneven, pot holed, broken tarmac from root poking through. Not very comfortable or easy for wheelchair users, although there are disabled parking bays available. There are toilets but I'm unsure of their facilities disabled visitors.
Tori Brooker — Google review
Its an ideal place for a stroll around. We were not seeing it at its best due to renovation work. Its dog friendly, wheelchair friendly and you can hire a trampa there too. Other facilities were closed due to the renovation.

Lovely park and lake to walk around. A lovely way to spend a relaxing afternoon with the kids with plenty there to keep them interested in the wildlife.
Made a nice change from the beach. Will definitely be going back when they've finished the building work.

We found this place by accident after coming back from Trago Mills. (Two minutes away) It was a brilliant find. There are lots to walking tails and a massive lake full of wildfowl. You could spend hours here exploring. You have to pay to park and there are a couple of machines as you go in. There is a visitor center but was closed on the day we went. It's a good idea to grab a map from the stand by the centre to help you navigate your way around.
Dave Tyler — Google review
A lovely tree filled country park full of bird life and a large lake with a good wide path all around that takes about 30 mins to walk . A car park (pay and display), toilets, picnic areas and a small indoor area with displays.
There is a network of paths throughout the park which are accessible with children buggys and wheelchairs. There is a raised walkway into an area of trees and birdfeeders. There is also a hide that overlooks the lake.
Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leads around the water courses due to the abundance of bird life, especially in the breeding season.
It's a fabulous spot to visit and great for young ones to feed the ducks and resident swans and watch throughout the changing seasons.
Update: March 2024: There is some works going on at the park to improve the visitor centre and to dredge the lake to remove some of the silt build up. Still worth a visit with plenty of bird life and lovely walks.
Alan Pewsey — Google review
This is truly an amazing spot to observe birds and animals in their natural habitat. There are a variety of walks and trails around the park, with prominent boards displaying the wildlife to be found in that area. Often, go here with an individual I support, and he really does enjoy walking around here.
George Jope — Google review
Great park with a lot of birds around. The wooden sculptures are also lovely.
The only down side was the not so friendly tourist information centre dude that seemed to be very concerned that we may try to use his public toilets out of hours.

Lovely country park. Lots if walks. Parking not too pricey. Dog friendly. Loads of wildlife to see. Coffee van on site and toilets.
This family-friendly country park has a small lake, playground, visitor centre and sports pitches. There's also an adventure playground with a splash pad and lots of attractive play items for kids. Parking is easy to find.
A great day out for all generations. It has woodland walks and nature trails surrounding a well maintained lake. There’s a childrens playground, which is enclosed where dogs are not permitted for health and safety reasons. A large playing field is also open. Small fee car parking, and public toilets along with a kiosk selling snacks and drinks. Opening times depend on the season.

A very popular woodland park in Newton Abbot situated to the south west of the town. Parking was adequate at 80p for two hours, £1.60 for four hours, payable by cash or contactless at the machine.
There are public toilets, a kiosk selling hot pasties, snacks, drinks and icecreams etc.
There is a huge lake with wildfowl in residence and a footpath that encircles it which has climbing frames and wooden obstacles to keep the kids entertained.
There is a large children's playground with soft flooring and sports fields.
I would say 2 hours is plenty for a visit with the kids.

Dona George — Google review
Lovely park, wooded area to walk around, a few different trails to explore, and some gym equipment like pull up/dips/monkey bars, perfect for a dog walk. There's a playing field and a play ground for the kids with a water play in the summer. There is a little coffee/ice cream hut and toilets, it is paid parking but you can sometimes find on street parking just outside. The paths can get muddy at times.

Great parking for young and old alike. Great kiddies play ground, nice for a picnic and a flattish walk around the lake thar doesn't get too muddy.

This really was a majestic find for us! My wife and I enjoyed the scenery and autumnal foliage as well as the critters bounding about! The park offers some tremendous views of nature, very welcoming trails, and plenty of practical space for games and playgrounds for all ages. Most arresting to us were the swans that graced the lake. They and the ducks were very reasonably friendly and great for adding more tranquil ambience to the park. Pleasant people and gorgeous nature, we were right at home! Highly recommended!

Here you can create some of life's great memories. From pushing a buggy and prams around in the woodland area, then exploring with the family. The safe play area is superb to let the young ones let off some steam. A quaint refreshment koisk for all ages. Bathrooms are close at hand, generous car park. It's fabulous to watch your whole family enjoy a day out. 10/10

On top of a hill sits Plant World. Stunning views over the valley. Lots of parking and easy access. I took my three year old to enjoy the trial 'around the world' to see a variety of plants and we both enjoyed exploring. We both enjoyed pulling the lever to discover a surprise. The cafe capitalises on the views and had a great range of cakes. Being Plant World it doesn't disappoint with a wide range of plants I haven't seen elsewhere. For a further star, it would just need to update the trail as it did cost £3 for an adult and some of the residents were a little bit weathered.

If you're looking for an all too typical garden centre cum departmental store, this ain't it.! Here you will find quality plants from across the world, the opportunity to take a " walk around the world " and see plants, shrubs and trees growing in natural conditions. And interesting things for the kids to find.
You won't find racks of clothing, toys, books and all the rest of the paraphernalia found in most garden centres
The cafe is a must to visit..Great food and drinks at affordable prices
Staff, both in the cafe and the nursery are both friendly and very knowledgeable.
Highly recommended if you rake an interest in plants

We ended with a cup of tea in the cafe, and picked up some seeds that they harvest from their plants.

I am very sad that I only add one star because I really love this store. This shop is well stocked, it's beautiful, the seeds are in great condition. Entering this store you can feel the amazing atmosphere and smells. Unfortunately, everything is ruined by one person, Helen
Admin Clerk. she is rude, not nice and behaves reprehensibly. I got some nasty emails from her and I hope her boss will look into this situation. I don't know how a customer can be treated like this. I'm really very sad because this store is wonderful, but with such service, unfortunately, you lose a lot. I wish this store great success and better employees who will not spoil the opinion of this wonderful place.

Really great little hideaway. Much bigger than it appears from the road!
Great views with picnic tables and a nursery you can access for free. Or pay £3 ticket for the World of plants walk. Took us a very casual hour to walk it, and we would have sat with a sandwich if we'd known about the picnic spot.
Nice afternoon activity with a good supply of plants to buy also.

Plant World is a regular haunt for me and my less mobile mother, for a snack and a cuppa. The patio/terrace part of the café has shaded seating, offering respite from our oppressive summer heat.
The café staff never seem organised. Getting served and getting your order takes time. So relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food is fine; it's not a diverse or special menu, but good, fresh café dining.
And, oh! The views. The placement of Plant World provides some of the most stunning views you will find at a Teignbridge café... the grounds, with their exotic plants arranged to recreate the continents of our planet are fascinating and beautiful, together with rural and coastal views across Dawlish and beyond.
But I know what you're thinking, because you've read my reviews before... "What about the toilets, Debs??".
Ah, café toilets fill me with dread, so it's so beautiful to visit a bathroom which is clean, well-lit and a decent size. Someone takes a real pride in the cleanliness of these loos. It is greatly appreciated!
And finally, there's Mollie the collie. She's two. She has a ball. She wants you to throw the ball. Look her in the eyes and say no - I challenge you.

This campsite is so clean and welcoming, the showers and toilets are so warm and clean. The people who own it are so friendly and helpful too. They have 2 cats who just love a fuss, the laundry room is also clean and tidy. The area has a lot to offer as well. Dogs welcome too even though it is on a working farm.
Hallie Andrew — Google review
We have had 4 stays at this campsite, but the most recent will be the last. There are not enough facilities to cope with peak season; the shower block was permanently wet and mucky; too often there was no hot water and no toilet paper.
There were cats (feral I think) in the shower block, the washing up room and the shop.
One morning a herd of cows stampeded through the park, in panic. Luckily nobody was hurt but they left behind loads of cow pats
My husband found dogs mess on the pitch next to ours so went to tell Andrew, who thought it had probably been left by his own dog which had recently been wandering around the park.
When the majority of the pitches are occupied, there is not enough room to park the vehicles

Located near the Cornwall border in Devon, Family Fun Park - Trago Mills offers a variety of attractions for families. The park features bumper boats, eagle karts, swan boats, trampolines, crazy golf, and a bouncy castle. While some visitors have noted that not all attractions may be open at times, the rides are affordable and keep children entertained.
Lots of fun things going on when I went on this day. Food was really good and shops were busy.

I always enjoy a day out in the Trago family fun park, provided there are enough things open. Quite often you will only see a couple of attractions running, which is disappointing. But the rides are affordable and keep children entertained very well.

Very tired and way past its best and in need of refurbishment.
The photos were from the play frame in best condition. Look out for sharp objects in the bark on the floor as we found some spikes which would have caused an injury had we not seen them first.
Rhys Heavens — Google review
It's not for an all day out with kids as most rides are broken and definitely all areas are in need for an upgrade! But if you want a couple of hours fun with the kids then it's ok I guess. The train ride and the model train it's the main attraction for my son.
Ádám Jenei — Google review
I hate to give it a 2 as have fond memories from when I was a kid. But it hasn't changed since I was a kid about 27 years ago and that means the place is falling to pieces, its in need of serious refurbishment. If it got the TLC it needs it can be great for kids again. So Trago pull your finger out and sort it.

Bristolian Days Out — Google review
First of all it was a fun day out for the kids. The second good thing is there was plenty of free parking.
Unfortunately the place isn't being looked after, everything looked out dated or old and dirty. The was staff nowhere to be seen except for a few places like the go karts.
The machine that you get token from were mainly broken and one gave me extra tokens.
Ibn Abd Al-Khāliq — Google review
Ok, practically every machine is in need of repairs, but the machines that still work seem pretty fun for the kids, especially the train. But if you are going there just for the games then I wouldn't advise it

Kids mostly enjoyed there day out, was a shame that there wasn't many animals to see as normal. Many attractions could do with being updated/repaired. We had a few issues with different games that didn't work, the staff were brilliant though and refunded all tokens we lost on them. We ate in the restaurant which was great portion sizes, and good value especially with the children being able to have a free meal with every adult meal.

Visited on 12th June. Only 3 of us there. Left on our own. 5 staff on duty. Only interaction was when we actually spoke to staff when they were weighing birds which we initiated .No flying display as advertised. Birds fantastic and information on boards good. All in all not a very satisfactory visit as felt staff could have made an effort as they were not busy.

We had a wonderful day with our seven year old grandson. Karen and Amber made us feel welcome and intoduced us to these amazing birds. We arrived at midday and had a tour, then went to the farm shop for lunch next door and came back at 2pm and were treated to an amazing flying display. Our Grandson hasn't stopped talking about it, (so much better for him than a video game). It was a real experience, the birds were up close and interactive.
The entrance fee is too low, and the conservation and educational work that they do here is inspirational. Karen and her team have a real passion and connection with these noble creatures. My wife and I cannot recommend this enough.

Didn't even know this was here, happened by it when visiting the garden centre. It's a nice little place, didn't get to see much of the birds out as it started raining but the birds seem happy and content, plenty of staff tending to them.
There's probably around 20 birds, interesting to see, shame about the weather.
Cost £5 an adult and £3 a child, there's discounts for larger families and OAP. Was nice to be able to go in, viist the garden centre then go back in after.
Free parking.

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant it was clean and the staff were really friendly, helpful and above all very professional towards everyone.
We then went across to the kitchen department and unfortunately the staff were not up to the standard of the restaurant team they seemed more interested in selling us a carrier bag to put our purchase in than actually showing us where the item was that we wanted, perhaps they were just having a bad day so we will be back to give them a second chance.

Went in with my Dad to buy some shirts and shoes for my brothers wedding. We were looking for two tailored shirts each, and a set of brown shoes each. The chap asked me about budget and we said it does not really matter to, its more important to be right for my brothers wedding. I think as we were wearing our scruffs as being doing some jobs this morning he suggested that we go to shoezone! So instead we went to next and bought some really nice shoes, amazing service, and then to m&s where they fitted us some shirts, and we bought two each. So all in all you should not judge a book my its cover as we happily spent over £300 in other stores. For me personally, I will never be stepping foot in there again.

This is a good, old-fashioned department store. It's in 2 separate buildings.

The store is situated in a pedestrian area so you can only park nearby & walk to it. It's very close to the clock tower.

First visit ever and very pleasantly surprised, how professional the staff were, felt like Harrods.
Well done to everyone, and thank you for making our visit memorable. 😊

So lucky to have Austins... I've just moved here from Hadleigh in Essex. This is a must to Newton Abbot. We had nothing like this from where I came from. Have used lots since I've been here. It has everything you need. X

If the store security man didn't follow me around like I'm a criminal maybe I would feel happier to shop in the main department. When I was browsing for Christmas ideas for my family today he followed me contastntly and watched my every move until I felt so uncomfortable I walked out. I've often shopped in all of the departments of Austins but having been made to feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome like I was going to steal I will gladly spend my hard earned money elsewhere instead of the town I live in. I've always found the homeware/toyshop/mens wear department's very friendly and helpful such a shame the main store let's the rest down!
To the security man - you should never judge a book by its cover, I might not have been dressed to impress but my money is as good as the next person's.
Newton Abbot Races Ltd is a popular oval-shaped horse racecourse that hosts events from March to October. The circuit contains seven fences, adding to the excitement of the races. The staff are known for their friendly and welcoming demeanor, making it an excellent destination for a day out. Additionally, they take extra care to cater to the needs of disabled guests. Overall, Newton Abbot Races is a reputable venue that attracts both locals and visitors alike.
Brilliant country racecourse.
Lovely people working there who make you very welcome.
Decent standard of National Hunt racing.
The Paddock Restaurant was lovely.
Definitely recommend.

A really fun day out and definitely a good experience. There's lots to be offered while you are there such as bars, a restaurant, ice cream vans and at times there is a tent that does pull pork rolls.
Out of the different meets I've been to myself Fridays are definitely the busiest and mid week ones are quietest; by this I mean if you like a drink it's definitely easier to go on a wednesday.
There is a dress code of smart casual and if you want to go to the restaurant you're not allowed to wear ripped jeans only smart and no trainers, only smart shoes.
It is pricey there and can get more expensive depending on how many bets you lose.

Train & toy fair. Great stalls, great variety & good prices. Only £3 to get in & grabbed some great bargains. Only reason for 4 stars is because it needed to be a slightly bigger venue with more display area for vendors & more room for buyers, but on the whole very good & i will be going back

Attended the Xmas Market/ faye. Parking was easy and free. There was a small queue to get in the fee for adults was £3.00 Great variety of stools something for everyone. All local stool holds, which was great to see. The upstairs canteen was open and serving hot food and drinks. Over all a very pleasant couple of hours.

Excellent day out racing a little expensive for a small course but still very enjoyable. Great views you can chat to trainers and jockeys if you get a chance and even the locals are friendly. I would highly recommend. They also do antiques fairs here several times a year. Plenty of stalls and plenty of antiques and collectibles for sale.

Very nice little independent track, well spaced out with plenty of access for viewing. Sadly 01-07-22 can only be three stars, no big screen for viewing the races from the Grandstand made it a poor experience. (The contract wasn’t being fulfilled and notice was given) the biggest negative was the shear lack of bar staff on a busy Friday in summer, nice weather encouraging walk up trade no doubt. Totally inept at times with incompetent workers. The prices all round were fair but sadly when finally served, beer was constantly warm from the tap! Poor effort Newton Abbot, and with a bar not even being used available. The carvery at the racetrack looked and smelled very nice and was popular but the outside offering of Pork rolls and stuffing was awful. Dry stale bun with very little filling. Price was fine, quality was not. Racing side here is good, sadly the hospitality side is dreadful. Lots of punters left well before the last race, not hard to see why. Why do events like these get let down with inefficient teams working with small numbers constantly? Trying to save money on labour and it’s not just here. 😞

Great cycle trail from Bovey Tracy to Newton Abbot... though the trail ends effectively just on outskirts of Newton Abbot which left last 1/4 mile navigating busy traffic into town centre... also we did meet the group on the route re-establishing the working canal which was interesting...
The boys (11 years old) both loved it. It's a great atmosphere there. Comfy sofas and really clean toilets.

Get your pads on and have a zoom around Newton Abbott's indoor skate park - it's good for all skill levels. I took my daughter there during the week and we were the only ones there! Talk about a free ride on all the ramps! I guess it's busy on the weekends when mums and dads drop off their teenagers to burn off some energy - if you're going to sit around and wait, grab a coffee from #1 Coffee before you arrive. The coffee area here is pretty average but you're not going here for a good caffeine hit or tasty cream bun. My daughter had lots of fun, but it would get hectic with 15 - 20 skaters thrashing it around the smallish place - great for a rainy day excursion!

This place is truly incredible. I started to learn to skate at the age of 31 and The Lodge is so welcoming to beginners. I would like to especially call out Chris Leeds, I highly recommend booking in 1:1 sessions with him. Thanks for all your help Chris!

Took my nephew down to an open session on a Saturday, he goes down regularly. Great set up, kids just go off for 2 hours and have fun! Feels very safe. The staff member was really friendly. The only 'downside' is the waiting area for parents...just a bit chilly! And would be great if hot drinks were available. But otherwise what a great community project

Great customer service. Holds events like The Devon Delight for clubs like MDCC. The Lodge has a great indoor skatepark which is well used and gives people something positive to do. Also has a cycle shop which a variety of items for many different bikes. Good quality workshop. Has a little car park, restrooms and a relaxing area.

Fabulous place and well run! Cheap couple of hours spent with my boy and his mates burning off some Xmas calories and learning some new tricks. Everyone using the facility were treating it and each other with respect and it was safe and fun. Bit of music would have been good at a low volume to add to the ambience and parking is limited but 100% recommend! Seemed to be picking up when we left at 11.30 so guess early or later is quieter and great communication on fb too 👍👌
The Stover Canal, a historic waterway, offers an enjoyable walking and cycling route along the Templer Way. The canal is regularly maintained by volunteers who are frequently spotted repairing banks and cutting trees. The formation of the Stover Canal Society in 1999 has contributed greatly to the preservation and interest surrounding this noteworthy site.
Really pleasant walk along historic Stover Canal and the Templer Way...Great for walking and cycling 🚲.

A carefully restored remnant of the Stover (Templar) trail. The canal is mostly silted up but still can be seen flowing in heavy weather.
A popular spot for dog walkers and cyclists as the Stover canal connects kingsteignton with Teigngrace and on to Heathfield. As such it provides a flat quick way to get to Bovey Tracy without a car.

The Newton Abbot Town Museum is a lovely place to visit with lots of information about the town and the railway. There are also some fun activities for children to do, thanks to Lottery funding. The old St Leanords Church has been transformed and is now an excellent interactive museum for young children.
We really enjoyed this museum, beautifully restored and laid out well, informative and interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will be going back.......

Small but well presented local museum situated in a renovated church at Newton Place. It is a short walk from the town centre and a local council pay and display car park is adjacent.
The book of condolence was here to sign prior to the Queen's funeral,
The museum featured very interesting local history and ex GWR railway items on display including signals and a lever frame from Newton Abbot West Junction signal Box.
Local books and souvenirs were available as well as a reception desk and toilets.
There is no charge for entry however there is a donation box if you wish to help the museum upkeep.

This museum is a great asset to this town and it should be more advertised. The building itself is a fantastic place to admire. The exhibition is a wide ranged topic from railway, through insects to the Polish community in the town. A nice place to visit, would definitely benefit from a cosy cafe and a better range of handcrafted gifts.

What a surprising visit! Our travel plans were canceled when we arrived in Newton Abbot so instead of waisting the trip I found this museum on Google and decided to walk in the rain to it. It was a lot of fun for the kids with a ton of history on the town and the rail line. I recommend taking the time to check it out as we spent a good deal of time looking and reading. They have interactive games and history hunts for the kids as well.

Enjoyed looking around. Despite buildings outward appearance doesn't seem to have as much on display as the old venue. Well laid out with lots of space. Things to do and interesting.
The Bear Feet Playcentre Newton Abbot is a fun place for the children to stay entertained. It has a wide variety of games and activities to keep them amused, and the staff are always happy to help.
A lovely, fun play centre. Visited whilst on holiday in the local area with my 2 year old and 5 year old. They both had a great time! The play equipment is good and suitable sections for all ages. We turned up at 11.30am and it wasn’t too busy. Ordered food which was good and very reasonable price. I had a nice baked potato and the kids meals were only £3.50 which was good. The owner was nice and helpful when my child spilt her drink everywhere. Would recommend this place!

I have taken my son to two birthday parties at Newton Abbot and although the play area is great and the kids loved it, each time the food has been pretty rubbish and nowhere near enough for the amount of children. The one we went to yesterday, there was about 30 children but food barely enough for 10 so some of the children didn't get to have anything as by the time they sat down it had all gone. Also when we arrived, we were all shoved down one end of the seating area so we were all squashed together. I believed this was so they didn't have to clean as much at the end, however if the place is hired exclusively, then you should be able to use the whole place, especially as it says on the door that they practise 1m social distancing which wasn't possible! Maybe they should consider allowing people to cater for their own parties.
Victoria Walley — Google review
Horrified….extremely dirty! Almost didn’t go in when I arrived as there seemed to be a homemade staff ashtray full of cigarettes right at the door. Not really what you want to see entering a children’s facility. However as we had walked 40 minutes to get there decided to go in.
Place was extremely dirty! Almost to the point of disgusting. Old food (and what looked like months of dirt) all over the corners and edges of the toy carpets. My little one is under 1and not yet walking, was so concerned about him crawling around we left after 20 minutes. Would never return and by the sounds of other reviews, it’s company wide so won’t use the other ones.
With so many reviews on how dirty the place is I’m baffled as to why a facility is even allowed to run when it caters to such little children in the condition.
Leanne Taylor — Google review
The kids had fun…. That is the end of the positive comments unfortunately!
Upon entry we were incorrectly charged - this was rectified after we pointed it out. I have no doubt the staff were trying their best but they appeared to be running around all over the place to try and get things sorted; this was highly inefficient and lead to a poor experience.
The food, well - “food”.
Oh wow, we ordered food and waited for 45 minutes to an hour for most of the food to arrive. We gave up asking for the food we didn’t receive!
Importantly the food we did receive was cold and just inedible. The gammon egg and chips was cold and undercooked plus the “gammon” was nothing more than cheap see-through processed ham (ham being a generous noun for what I received). It was actually grey, and see-through!
One of the meals ordered did not arrive, because after 1 hour 15 minutes, the staff told us “the chef is off and said they left some in the freezer but we don’t have any” this was after the rest of the table had received their food - not eaten, because it was poor quality and cold but the point being we were not told they couldn’t produce the meal until after the wait and some food had arrived.
I really hope the staff are recognised for trying their best but I know that I will not be returning to find out if anything improves.

Nice coffee but lack of vegan milks. Only had Almond milk. We were the first ones to arrive and the floor was really dirty like it hadn't even been hoovered. I took two toddlers in and cost £8. It was £2.60 for a coffee with a splash of almond milk. It was £1.50 for a bottle of Diet Coke. It was so cold inside I would recommend taking a jumper as I suppose it would cost loads to heat as it's such a big room. The play equipment was ideal seemed quite clean and lots to go on for all different ages. There is teddy bears scattered around for the children to play with and some large balls. There's a large slide that seats 4 people. Would go again my toddler loved it. Only giving it 1 star less as there wasn't so many vegan options. And because of the dirtiness of the floors. Plenty of free parking.

i went to a birthday party today, to the Newton Abbott location, where the staff were rude, didn't communicate with the parents, and were generally unhelpful.
It started when i walked in and my child's name was put down incorrectly, i gently told her the correct spelling to be told in a rude tone that her name doesn't matter. A small mistake, which would have been fine, if not for the dismissive tone. She also rolled her eyes at another parent when she spelt another name incorrectly too.
Then we were led to a table that wasn't made very clear, and wasn't very accessible.
later, I had to ask for another jug of juice, when i received it, the jug was dirty with black bits floating on it, and we noticed some of the cups provided on the table weren't clean.
there was no communication between the staff, who were clearly overworked as they had a rude attitude for our duration.
The biggest issue for me, apart from the rudeness, was the lunch part. It was NOT made clear that there was a jelly OR ice pole option for the kids, and we received a stern word from staff, even though it was their mistake. The lunch was cleared away while children were still eating, and we were rushed out.
i wouldn't bring my children here again. i hope they can take on extra staff to relieve the bare team they have now. i cant even begin to imagine how the parent who paid for the party must feel.

Great place for the kids. Really nice lady that kept herself so busy cleaning and tidying while it was busy. Younger girl just sat at reception biting her nails! I went in some of the soft play and it's not the cleanest. Lots of cobwebs and dust. Could do with a good deep clean. But overall lovely place to kill a few hours

Great for small children. Adults free when paying for one child only two adults and one child is £ 4.80. Cafe available cost of coffee £2.40 per cup soft drinks is fruit shoot £1.50,range of cakes available from £1.50 - £1.95 each, menu for hot food available see photo of menu for price and choice ranges. Our grandson spent 5 hours at bear feet and absolutely loved it. He went home tired and happy. Toilets clean and tidy low toilets and basins for children. Very safe for young children to play in and entertaining, separate areas for over 4's and under 4's but in over 4's large enough for a parentt to play on with them. Children's parties catered for. Wheelchair access. Large free parking area. You are not allowed to bring your own food unless it's for specific dietary requirements that cafe don't cater for ie gluten intolerance . Staff helpful but child supervision is parents responsibility. Would suggest jumpers worn as can be cold inside, children playing and running around don't get cold but parents in the cafe and seating area might feel chilly.

New owners taken over. Prices gone up. Looks like they are busy decorating the place. Hopefully they will also concentrate on a bit of cleaning too. The baby changing which is the one I used needed cleaning and I had to wipe the food table before I used it unfortunately no hot drinks available today either. But let's give them a chance and hopefully next time I visit it will be a 5 star.

Took my 11 month old here for the first time today and we loved it. It cost £2 for the pair of us due to her being under 1 which was great. So much for different age ranges and plenty of room to explore, cheap food and drink and the two girls working were very friendly, will definitely be returning

Wanted to try this place out for our toddler, looked beyond the ratings to judge for are selfs. First impressions incredibly dim, with some lights not on. Two members of staff are doing nothing(on their phones and leaning on the side)while the tables, floor, and sides are filthy. Felt like I couldn't let my baby touch much. Thank god I had eaten before going 🤮🤮🤮🤮 such a shame definitely has more potential

Absolute shambles! If I could put zero stars I would.
Staff had no clue what they were doing, personal hygiene of one member of staff was shocking; the children complained he smelled. The "manned disco" was not staffed. The area the children ate in was depressing and cold. We had to clean the cutlery in the bathroom before the children could eat because the staff were nowhere to be seen. Chairs and tables were dirty, and the sofa's and carpet a disgrace. When staff were asked for anything it was like it was a chore, there was eye rolling and some attitude when I ordered a second coffee and it wasn't busy at the desk. While we were giving out party bags and cake, the staff went around telling everyone "we close at 4pm, so if you could hurry things up...." while all of this was going on/not going on there was an older woman just sat at a table by the desk talking to the staff when they would appear, having a conversation. As we left, another party arrived. So despite the disappointment, staff had also lied to many parents from our party to say it was closing at 4pm, when in actual fact there was another party coming in. On top of all of this, there were mix ups with the food and staff openly admitted to each other in front of parents that none of them had handover regarding this party.
We will not be returning and will not recommend this place for parties. Which is a shame as there is so much potential there.
