Laodicea, an ancient city dating back to the 3rd century BC, has been reconstructed and is currently undergoing excavations. The archeological site is extensive and impressive, taking about 2-3 hours to visit with an entrance fee of 25 TL. Guides may be available during peak season but are not guaranteed. A guide would enhance the experience significantly for visitors. Laodicea's historical significance makes it a must-see destination that will not disappoint.
Laodicea, "The poor rich church", is a place that, if you like ruins, biblical places and history, will be perfect. It is an ancient city discovered relatively recently, and the temple is completely rebuilt, you can even walk inside it. From Laodicea you can see Pamukkale, so it is advisable to take two days to visit both.

It’s a really interesting place to go. There is still a lot to discover but there are multiple areas with columns and structures that make you understand the intensity of the buildings. Moreover, there is what is considered the oldest church which is interesting to see and which is the main attraction. The theaters are impressive as well. There good thing is that it’s not crowded as most of the tourism only goes to the hierapolis.

The archeological site is very large and impressive, we enjoyed our visit even with the rain coming down. It takes about 2 - 3 hours to visit, I'm not sure if there are guides at the site for hire, I would assume during better weather and time of year that there would be. I think that a guide here would enhance the experience incredibly so. The cost to enter is 25 TL, loved this place for so many reasons. You have to see this place as it will not disappoint.

This ancient city is huge. We walked through large part of it and it is really amazing. Especially the theatre is breathtaking. Unfortunately it is very hot there and no green. But is worth visiting!

The place was much more beautiful than i expected. Historical ruins impressed me. It's great to know that in every single structure man made many years ago.

It is an amazing site to see !!! And they’re still excavating more of it … went just before sunset
Wish we had more time . Give your self at least 2 hours to explore the site .
Word from the wise . Do not wear soft soled shoes or open toed shoes as there are little sharp seed pods every where that lodged themselves in the soles of your shoes .

Great place to visit from Denizli in a taxi if you are looking for historical places near the city and want to explore something that’s not very common or popular. There was no crowd and we were mostly the only people there. The weather was great and the whole city is very nicely preserved and looks just as good as the ruins I’ve seen in Italy, Lebanon, Jordan and Greece. The information is very interesting and the church and amphitheater is definitely worth checking out when visiting this place. If you have a museum card then it’s great but otherwise the ticket was for 150 tl when we visited.

That’s one of our favorite ancient cities this far. It is located on a flat ground, so it is easy to access for those who have some disabilities. Laodikeia is huge and beautiful, very quiet and you can walk for hours there listening to the birds and enjoying the nature views and ancient rocks. This place absolutely worths a visit!

While the site is significant given its prominence in Biblical history, the ruins themselves are comparatively underwhelming to other ancient sites in Anatolia. Worth seeing to experience firsthand, but can easily be visited with a brisk 2-3 hour walk. Highlights are the theatres.

Historical sight. Worth the visit. They have nice full wall of fresco paintings, one fountain with a sculpture. We are noticed they might have theatrical events in their Roman theater (ancient design with good acoustics).

Buying the tickets was a bit hectic. You should buy it down at the edge of the hill from your car. Apart from that, this place is magical and a hidden gem especially late afternoon. Barely no one.

I'm glad they promoted Laodicea at Pamukkale. This is an incredible site. I liked seeing the Agora and the partially restored church. You should try and walk along the Roman streets to get a feeling for what it was like.

It’s an excellent archaeological site. Extremely large so wear your walking boots. Very interesting mosaics and many drainage pipes. Some interesting columns also
jeremy kalous — Google review
The site is a must see, although not advertised much. For a small extra to the price of the Pamukkale ticket you can visit the site in about 15 driving distance. The excavation area is a huge flat hilltop.
On the vide area you see many remains from late antiquity, 2 theaters, a Stadion, a well preserved fountain of Emperor Trajan. Mona columns of the peristylum around the agora and in several temples are still standing. The monuments are connected by two antique column flanked roads. There us also a new excavation of a byzantine Basilika und smaller churches.
Due to the wide area and ruggedness of the antique roads that are also used by the visitor the sight is not adequate for people that are not good on foot.

We enjoyed visiting here. There were very few tourists and you could take your time and feel what it might have been like in ancient times. The amphitheater was not completely exposed, giving it a more natural look.

This was a good experience. The archeologists have done a pretty good job, because in one place we saw the ground 2.5m high up in the air, and that means they've dug that much.
The ancient city contains a lot of hidden treasures, like houses, a church and gardens.
The most important part is, never wander around without a bottle of water per person if it's daytime. It was around 38 degrees Celsius and we almost melted to the floor.
After all, it was a good experience and we advise you to see it.
Nice, large park with a good-sized picnic area. The Karaçay creek runs through it. The name of the park is taken from the valley of the Karcı Mountain that the park is in. The park was renovated in 2018. There are many picnic tables scattered around, and a few gazebos or raised platforms. There are grills available as well but training might be needed to use those grills since a few people smoked up the whole place while we were there. There were multiple cafes though if you're not too keen on grilling yourself. We saw only one playground area and I think at least one other playground is needed. There is also a lookout tower a bit of walk up from the entrance. Finally, this is a great place for some walking either on the paved portion or in the forest area.
Edit: The pictures are from end of October, not recent.

One of the beautiful valleys of Karcı Mountain in Denizli, going into deeps up to the peak, the Ornaz Valley, a nature beauty is filled with creeks and waterfalls surrounded by large magestic trees mostly pine. An ideal trekking trail of moderate to hard difficulty, Ornaz presents an opportunity to be within the wild nature very close to City Center. If you dare to follow the difficult trail path which will take you up to Karababa, the highest peak of snowy Karcı Mountain as its name implies, up where the views are unforgettable. By the way, down at the entrance of the valley, close to the village of Başkarcı, there is a beautiful Park by the water stream with recreational facilities; picnic area, cafes, etc run by Merkezefendi Municipality of Denizli...

A very nice and lovely valley which is a couple of minutes away from Denizli city center. The area is big and there are many benches and small huts for picnic with family and friends. It looks like a bit of Europe and the place is well-maintained.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Çamlık Park is a picturesque pine tree-covered park offering various activities for visitors. It features play areas, fountains, and walking paths, as well as a small zoo and picnic facilities. The park also includes amenities such as public bathrooms, arcade games, a restaurant, snack shop, grills, and benches throughout the area. With beautiful mountain views and convenient city access, it's an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature.
Beautiful park with a tiny zoo at the top of the hill. Clear clean paths to walk on, plenty of rougher trails for hiking, several playgrounds for kids, a large patio for food and drinks with servers or a snack shop. Definitely a must go to place if you're in Denzili.

The Forum Çamlık shopping mall in Denizli is a lively and expansive retail center with two floors of well-known brand-name stores, as well as an extensive food court and cinema. It offers a wide range of products, from clothing to groceries to home appliances. The food court is particularly notable for its size and diverse selection of cuisine, though traditional Lokanta foods are not available.
I would like to call it the biggest and the best mall in Denizli. You can find whatever you need from clothes to groceries to home appliances here. The food court is quite big and offers variety of food. The common Lokanta foods are missing here. You can buy coffee from Mc Donald, Burger King and two cafes. There's a big Migris downstairs.
Very Important:
These days, regarding special Covid-19 regulations, you cannot enter the place without your HES code.

The security gives less to no information. We did not know that there were 2 (or maybe more) entrances. The entrance we took did not have an elevator because we were with a buggy. When I asked they just said that I might carry the baby and the buggy apart. Well good luck.. when I got angry, then they explained there is another entrance WITH elevator. Thank you!
The mall is very clean, covered parking lot is very nice and wide. But the signs in the mall are to small and has also lack of information. There is no sign for the elevator. The baby care room is amazing! Wow what a space, what a facility, what an organization! You clearly have everything there!

The Horoz Heykeli, a vibrant and peculiar statue of a rooster, serves as the centerpiece of a cozy urban square in Denizli. This emblematic structure, which represents the city's pride, is frequently visited by both locals and tourists. Although the area surrounding it has lost some of its liveliness recently, it remains an excellent location for socializing. The Horoz Square offers visitors a chance to connect with the heart and soul of Denizli through its beauty and charm.
For me this is the best place to hangout in Denizli! Not only for the youngster tho... but everyone! You can find basically anything here. Any kind of stores like accessories, clothing, perfumery... anything you can tell. The restaurants, cafe, and corners sell various kind of foods and beverages. Not only Turkish but also Asian foods are here too. You guys must quickly come here if you haven't😁 Have fun!
