Beautiful scenery on this sunny January day. Nice little cafe serving a good selection of food and drink. Toilets needed a good clean and restocking of toilet roll and hand soap.

A lovely space to walk, cycle, watch the boats, by yourself, with children or your dog. The dog poo isn't a problem as people generally pick it up, but the geese poo can whiff in the summer! Big enough to ensure peace and quiet. A nice place to roam or pause.

Excellent park for rest, walk, run. Pure and fresh air

Such a lovely park and lake. Plenty to see and do from the huge cafe, sailing, fishing, kids play area to the lovely walks. The dogs loved it here and my friend's dog loved trying to go and say hello to the ducks. Plenty of car parking and signs around the park to tell you where everything is.
Can't wait to go back.

Lovely place to go for a walk, enjoy or coffee and walk the dog. Plenty of activities for the kids, could easily spend a day here.

Great place to go with kids. The splash park is fantastic fun for every age. Nice cafe with toilets. You can buy bird food to feed the ducks and geese. There are two playgrounds. Good paths all around the lake. Lovely place to spend a few hours or a day.

Fairlands Valley lakes is a beautiful place to go either on your own or with friends and family. We're very lucky because it was designed and made for pedestrians in mind with the foot paths .

A large really well kept. There's lot's of space to go for a walk, run, or just to chill out. Free car parking is an added bonus. There's some lovely views across the lakes.

It's lovely here. Very spacious and room for everyone and their different activities, dog walking, scooter, cycling etc and it is kept very clean and tidy. The cafe could do with a refurbishment.

This is the best place to spend your time relaxing in a pleasant environment. The location is awesome and the walking path will cover the lake, where you will experience the best views of the park and the lake .kids will enjoy the place, and the best suitable place for walking, jogging, playing, and spending the best time with your closest one.

Park is lovely, however the cleaners for the disabled loos like to rip up signs someone puts saying not to tie the red cord up. They keep making sure the cord is not reachable. This is a health and safety issue. So there's no regards for the safety of disabled visitors in this regard, if you're disabled please be aware of this.
Lorna Evans-Smith — Google review
It's a nice park. Very scenic indeed. But a long queue at that cafe just to get some water on a warm day. Plus nothing else around that sells drinks.
darren vernon — Google review
A lovely lake surrounded by greenery, ducks, trees & undisturbed view is what greets you when you enter the park. As you explore the area further you will discover walk-through woods & peace. Visiting is a must

A place of amazing beauty considering its man made. The lakes are gorgeous and the wildlife is abundant.
A great place to take photos. There's a cafe along the walk, that serves ice cream and standard cafe food at a fairly reasonable price. You can rent boats to go on the lake along with other activities.
The Gordon Craig Theatre is a mid-sized performing arts venue that hosts drama, variety, comedy, and music shows. In addition to the main stage area, it also features a gallery and bistro/cafe for visitors to enjoy. While there is easy access from the train station and the theatre itself is clean and well-maintained, some customers have noted that there could be improved amenities such as an open hot drink cafe for early arrivals.
Saw the penultimate show on 23rd Jan 22! Aladdin was so much fun to watch. Booked these tickets 2 years ago!! Worth the wait. Aidan O'Neill as Wishy-Washy was as always an absolute blast! Was sad not to see Paul Laidlaw as Gordon Craig's golden oldie dame BUT Stuart Nurse did a cracking job! Looking forward to next year! Tickets already booked!

I am from Stevenage and although I mostly trawl to London, Sometimes lts a door step something to do. l went to see an enthusiastic Motown on tour show . People enjoyed the performance , Packed out all seats first come first served for 35 quid . Facilities clean and tidy , Bar ok prices friendly staff . I am glad the council stepped in and prevented this Theatre from being demolished before another is built .

Easy access from train station. Lovely clean theatre. They missed a trick with early customers to a show as there was no hot drink cafe open. They open half an hour before a performance. We walked back to the train station for coffees and Danish.
Otherwise very happy. As normal not enough female toilet cunicles

This is my favourite local theatre. There is no bad seat in the house, and tickets are very reasonable comparatively to most places. Not only that but they do the BEST panto every year. It's on our not-to-be-missed annual calendar. We look forward to seeing the same hilarious cast every year - the jokes are brilliant, the music, songs and dancing are contemporary and I always leave with face ache from laughing so much. Keep up the good work, all!

We went to see the current pantomime, sleeping beauty and it was excellent. The whole family went, all different ages and everyone loved it. We were at the front and my 4yr old neice was called up on stage with Chester who made her feel very special. The story telling, acting, dancing, music and set were brilliant and would totally recommend. The only downside was the increased ticket prices from previous years. We did go in between Christmas and New Year though so may have paid more

Brilliant show from Emil Dale part time.
Great staff at venue always helpful. Love this place. Seen many shows here.

It's a decent mid sized venue. View is good from every seat I have been in. Acoustics and lighting fine and a decent sized stage. On the downside the refreshment kiosk had only one staff member and there were large queues at the main bar. Car parks close by, pay as you leave.

Sleeping beauty proved to be a great pantomime. Superb cast with Chester playing to the kids in the audience and Nurse Nellie playing to the adults. Fast paced with lots of colour, effects and great choreography. Sleeping beauty hit all the right notes too. Kids loved it. Recommended.

We went as a whole family to see the Cinderella pantomime, and everyone absolutely loved it. The acting was so funny and amazing that it made us laugh so much. We loved how the actors also involved the audience during the performance, and overall, we had a great time. The theatre itself is very clean and spacious, and the seats are very comfortable.

Great theatre, lots of leg room which is a real bonus! Not sure there's a bad seat to be had- no restricted views. Coffee shop on entry, a bar and a small area for sodas and ice cream near the rear entry door. Really enjoying every visit.

Never enough bar staff, both halls in use and 2 staff, queued half hr never got a drink before the show or during. Said they would shut doors at 7.30 so left the queue then didn't shut them until 7.45 - what's the point????
Love the shows , good value, but rest a nightmare

Benington Lordship Gardens is a serene and peaceful park situated in the countryside, renowned for its picturesque landscape, castle ruins and contemporary sculptures. The estate boasts an 18th-century manor house with historic roots tracing back to Saxon times. Visitors can explore the medieval motte and bailey castle earthworks as well as remnants of a Norman keep within the grounds. The gardens are meticulously maintained with various species of snowdrops creating a delightful spectacle for visitors during springtime.
Bennington Lordship Snowdrops. We didn't pick the best day to visit for weather, however the gardens were well worth the visit, the village is a lovely English village and visit on a Sunday to get the benefit of the concert. Don't forget to get your cream tea just to put the cream on top of your visit.
Stuart Lindsey — Google review
Pleasant enough to wander around in February but I was expecting drifts of snowdrops everywhere! Having paid £9 entry on a Sunday I don't think it represents value for money. A better venue in summer I suspect.
Debbie Laws — Google review
Really beautiful gardens. Snowdrops were in full bloom. Would like to see the garden in summer too.
Julie Hannah — Google review
Lovely setting to wander amongst many varieties of snowdrops.
Dom Kirby — Google review
Beautiful place. It was an honest mistake that we walked to the gardens, thinking they were open. One of the staff told us they were closed, but let us see the rest of the place after paying. So yes, it was just us in the whole garden. After the walk, we headed to the Village Hall Cafe and had one of the most delicious scones. Next to it is their mini library.

Snowdrops are absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit in February. When you look closely there are so many varieties. They are a sight to behold.
Plenty of parking. Lovely tea room serving delightful cakes.

Snowdrops still worth visiting today though past their best. Beware the toilet facilities could be nicer!

Chilli festival was great. Good selection chilli but other products were available. Great for kids, clowns, puppets, face painting and live show. Grounds and hall very nice. Entrance price very reasonable.
Sadly no dogs allowed but for a good reason as some of the passages are a little narrow.
Aaron AG — Google review
We went there to see snowdrops. The place is quite well maintained and pretty. There are a few gardens which should look attractive in a few weeks. The on site restaurant was closed but the community centre nearby was open serving drinks, sandwiches and cakes. Parking was free, big enough. Dogs not welcome.

Stevenage Museum is an often overlooked attraction that provides visitors with a comprehensive overview of the town's history. The exhibits span from ancient times to present day, featuring interactive displays and films that allow for an immersive experience. A highly underrated place. From wildlife and ancient times to present, it offers a great time-journey of the Stevenage area with a lot of interactive features as well as movies.
Staff is really friendly and it is admission free.

Went to a lunch time lecture by a local author:
Local author Gemma Hollman's new book is out. Two of the most influential women at the court of King Edward III were his wife, Philippa of Hainault, and his mistress, Alice Perrers. Find out how they wielded their power and used their femininity to control those around them.
Very interesting and informative.

Took grandson to see the miniature trains. It was raining all day, so perfect for this event. He absolutely loved it and asked so many questions, which of course opened the flood gate of the miniature railway club members lol. He decided it was time to go after an hour and a half. Quaint little museum.

Went to a craft activity, the staff were very friendly & understanding as my son has additional needs. The museum itself is laid out well and user friendly but a few things weren't working that was a shame.

Cromer Windmill is a historical landmark that was constructed in 1681 and renovated in the late 1900s. It is open seasonally to the public and offers an excellent opportunity to learn about Hertfordshire's past. The volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and provide insightful information about the windmill's history. Visitors should check opening times before arriving, but parking across the road is free.
Excellent and informative tour of the windmill provided by Peter. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Free parking available.

Great for adults and children; the video helps to put the story into context and the personal guide is really helpful! The windmill is 4 storeys, so very exciting to see what happens on each floor! There is a trial to find the mice hiding away, and this is good to keep young and old interested! Only £2 to get in - a really worthwhile visit!

Look the place up on the internet before visiting. It does not open all day (from memory - bank holidays, Sundays, 2nd & 4th Saturdays). We turned up when it was closed - hence did not see the inside. Impressive to see something as large and old still preserved. Parking is limited (in the fields next to the windmill - unsure if it's legal).

Very pretty windmill on the side of the road, small car park in field.

Nice little gem in the middle of nowhere. Only a couple of pounds to get in (and 50p for the children). The 2 volunteers were both very helpful and informative. Shame it's not open very regularly, so definitely check their opening hours before you leave!
Lamex Stadium is a compact and superb stadium that has seen Stevenage progress from League 2 to League 1. The seating offers great views without obstructions, making it a comfortable place to watch football. Despite some downsides like congested coffee stands during pre-season games and limited beer availability in the away end, the stadium provides a nice environment for young supporters and ample parking across the road. The professional stewards add to the overall positive experience of watching games at Lamex Stadium.
Watched Boro v Portsmouth. Staff friendly and helpful. Can't wait to get back for future matches.

Neat stadium not so much as clean but respectable really, recommend a boro burger, good atmosphere one of the best in league two

Modernish stadium. League 1 standard I'd say. Poor game when Bolton visited but place was loud enough. Stand Facing where the players come out brought the most atmosphere.

Nice little stadium and a massive 3 points here.
Burgers average but chips ok 👍

Small ground, but adequate for EFL2. Broomhall bar facility was good. Friendly staff and opposition support. Stewards were extremely friendly and ultra helpful. In the ground the toilets weren't what you'd expect in the 21st century.
Ian Forrester — Google review
Excellent stadium for a League 2, then promoted to a League 1. The Downside was that it was a pre season game, but not all coffee stands open, so the 2 that were was very congested.
Excellent game, Stevenage won 4 - 0. Seats were very good and could see the whole game without any obstruction. I'm looking forward to the coming season.

away day - not a bad little stadium as an away fan, not great facilities however, limited toilets and places to eat and drink at the ground it’s self, a burger station and that was it. during the game a fan collapsed in our away end and poor organisation by marshals meant that medical staff couldn’t get into the stand to help the person. Also not great organisation after leaving the ground as away fans have to walk with home fans to the car park

Apart from the football, the Broadhall stadium is a neat ,clean little stadium with some good facilities for fans. Better then some other well known clubs in higher leagues. Good visual areas from the stands for fans. 8/10

This is a great stadium for league two, still very basic with good concessions which include burgers, chips, hot chocolate and nice sweets. Home fans have a good voice adds to it whenever the away stand is full aswell recommend going to any stadium you find but this is great too.

Stewarding ruined the experience. Fans in the aisle, fans standing 3 to a seat, fans smoking and not a steward to be seen. Will not be surprised if the next footballing disaster is at this stadium. Health and Safety need to have a very good look
