SM City Bacolod Northwing is a vast shopping center that features an array of renowned international brand outlets and dining options, along with additional amenities such as cinemas and bowling alleys. The mall offers a diverse range of retail stores to suit everyone's preferences. Visitors can also enjoy the mini zoo with animal statues inside the mall. SM City Bacolod Northwing is an ideal place for those who love shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment under one roof.
We've been to Miniso to buy some stuff and I love how their Lady Guard guided us since we don't know much of the place. SM Bacolod in general has a wide variety of stores to choose from. I thought they would ask for our Vaccine cards at the entrance but they're not. And also we're bringing our toddler. She enjoyed the mini zoo with statues of some animals inside the mall.

We were here today before the mall opened. There were benches nearby but after some time it was too hot to stay exposed in the sun. We started to queue up at around 9:15. At around 3 minutes before 10:00, there was an opening prayer aired via the mall’s sound system and then, the Philippine National anthem was played. Prior to this, the guard asked us to form one line as there were many people who wanted to enter the mall.

A place where you can buy almost everything. From necessities to wants! There are sooo much choices! It is a great place to shop. The downside is, they do not have enough wash room/toilets for all the shoppers. I hope they will improve in this area soon.

By far the widest mall in Bacolod. Nice to walk around. There is space even if there would be many people. So many boutiques of renowned brands. Always well decorated. There are also many restaurants with nice settings and good cuisine for those, like me, who do not like fast food. Be careful there is risk for shopping addicts!

I recently visited SM North wing and was overall quite impressed. It's a great place to go for food, as there are many different restaurants and fast food options to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for Filipino cuisine, fast food, or something a little more upscale, you're sure to find something that suits your taste.
The department store is also very convenient, as it has a wide selection of products at reasonable prices. From clothing and accessories to home goods and electronics, there's something for everyone at the department store.
I also appreciated the presence of the cybercenter, which is a great place to buy electronic goods and tech gadgets. It has a wide selection of products at reasonable prices, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Whether you're looking for a new laptop, phone, or other tech product, you're sure to find what you need at the cybercenter.
In addition to its shopping and dining options, SM North wing is also a great place to go for entertainment. There are often events and performances happening at the mall, ranging from live music and dance performances to movie screenings and other activities. It's a great place to go if you're looking for something to do on a rainy day or just want to pass the time.
Overall, I would rate my experience at SM North wing 4 out of 5 stars. It's a great place to go for food, shopping, and entertainment, and I would definitely recommend it to others. The only downside was that it was a bit crowded at times, which made it difficult to navigate. However, that's to be expected at a popular mall like this. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again in the future.

. SM City Bacolod Northwing is typical SM mall, however one thing that stands out the most are the people (cashiers, staffs, etc.) .They are all incredibly nice, accommodating, and always smilling.
. For travelers & tourists you can buy souvenirs and pasalubongs inside

Coming here for the first time I was, first of all, quite amazed that this mall has two buildings: the North wing and the South wing, connected by two bridges: the East gateway and the West gateway. There are also shops along the bridges. On the East gateway shoppers can have a view of the city, while on the West gateway offers a view of the seaport and new condominiums being built. The entire mall is surrounded by plentiful free parking; although there’s no underground or multi-level parking here.

As a first timer in Bacolod (Tuesday night on June), I thought SM City Bacolod was so small that it only had a supermarket and some small pasalubong shops. Five days later, I went back to Bacolod on a Sunday afternoon, I found out that there are two parts of SM City Bacolod - the North wing and the South wing. So it was my first night in Bacolod when I was able to explore the Southwing. And because it was night, I've never noticed yet the Northwing Part of the mall. During my last day in Bacolod, I've explored what's inside the mall. I was able to go to Paglaum (a souvenir shop), the Supermarket, I've also been to Starbucks and McDonalds. I love also how the two parts of the mall connect each other, and there's a lounge area for travelers. All you have to do is to pay almost a dollar so that you can leave your things for a while. Of course, it's still best to bring all the valuables with you when you leave your baggages in the traveler's lounge area of SM Bacolod. Also, there's a taxi stop nearby if you need a quick cab ride.

It has everything you need even bank! It's also a great location and in the downtown area. Only downside is the flood when there's heavy rain. Not sure if it has been fixed. They also need to have a bigger parking area, it's so hard to find one on the weekend.

I was impressed the first time I went. Since I wasn’t prepared for my review, I decided to tag along with friends for their photo shoot. This time, my intention is to do my self-promised review of the place.
I love nature, and if you do, this is the right place for you. There are parts of the area that you can just sit down and enjoy the beauty of nature, watching the animals around or simply relax under the tree reading your favorite book. Food they served are ok and prices are reasonable. You can do any parties, horseback riding, boating, fishing, biking, buggy rides, swimming and a good place for nature’s pictorial.
However, I was very disappointed when we arrived, we are forced to pay a fee on top of the other services that we intend to do, not to mention entrance fee and lunch. The fee is for a cottage that we don’t need (in fact we didn’t use it) and for their staff to assist us (there’s no one). But they insisted that we pay because we’re doing a photo shoot. We don’t need anything or any help because this is a very straightforward pictorial as we explained. Just like going inside and take a selfie or a group photo. In fact, we can provide them free advertisement of their place because of the photos we took. So disappointing and it ruined the mood. Their management should look into this and reconsider, but it’s up to you to decide.

Capitol Park and Lagoon is a tranquil green space adorned with complementary sculptures that's favored by visitors for unwinding and community events. The location is conveniently situated near the national road, offers ample parking spaces, has mini stores in the vicinity, but suffers from excessive noise pollution from vehicles. Sadly, its once teeming pond now harbors moss instead of fish. Nonetheless, it has a playground and a small cafe on-site. Furthermore, it's just a short walk away from Ayala mall.
A fresh and open area where you can do picnic and have a nice chats with your friends and family in an open field.
Some have their usual exercise, jogging, walking, drawing.
It would be nic also if you can bring your dogs and pack walk :)

It’s a great place to spend time, relax, and just be! There’s usually a good selection of street foods right outside the fences, and convenience stores and fast food places are just nearby. My only complaint is that only two gates are open at a time, and it can be frustrating to get inside if you didn’t know. Nice park though!

Very clean and relaxing. Your kids can enjoy and have fun at the playground for free. Feeding the fishes is also very enjoyable not only for kids but also for us adults. This place can also be spectacular during evening with lightings turn on but this is the only schedule that suits me for a visit. The place is wide and huge. It accommodates a children park, a practice area, Zumba area, picnic area. There are lot of things to do here. One symbolic sight I got to observe is a Filipino man and a Filipino woman with a carabao in each side facing toward each other and were placed opposite side of the pond. It seems that they have to meet in the middle of the pond.

This is a very unique museum made up of Vintage depression era glasses. We actually went on a whim on a monday only to find the museum closed. It was a good thing that we were able to contact the owner and curator of the museum, Mr. Tomico Casiano. He graciously opened the museum for us even on his day-off since we came from Manila and already on our way home that day. He toured us and gave very detailed explanation of his glass collection. He is so passionate in sharing his love for vintage glasses that we were also encouraged to do the same. This is the only museum that not only allows you to touch the displays but he actually encourages visitors to touch them to appreciate the art. The museum is his baby and you must really set an appointment to visit the place. It is a MUST SEE when you go to Bacolod.

The Negros Museum is a modest display of cultural and historical artifacts, as well as vintage regional toys and artwork. The arrangement of the exhibits is creatively done, with well-lit and ventilated spaces for visitors to explore. Photography is allowed without flash. Despite closing time being 5:30 pm, the staff was accommodating to visitors from other regions, such as Bicol.

When we went there, there were no other tourists around. There were mostly paintings inside the museum. At that time, the air-conditioning system wasn’t turned on (or prolly wasn’t working). When I went to the museum, it was already closing time like 5:30 but when they asked me asked me where I came from and I told them that i am from Bicol, they let me in still. I am really thankful because of that. So I went around the museum a bit quickly. It was nice and the pieces where really old already. I was only able to see the ground floor because the second floor was under renovation then.

This is an interesting place to stop when visiting the area. It seems the lower floor is dedicated to a rotating collection of local art and the upper floor holds the permanent, more historical collection. For our visit, the lower floor had an excellent collection of mostly modern art, all of it excellent. The historical artifacts were fascinating as well. Make sure you stop by the restaurant, as it is fantastic as well.

The museum primarily highlights the rich history of Negros Island and the growth of the sugar industry, from the Spanish colonial era to sugar cane farming to the independent revolution. In the exhibition hall, you can view reconstructions of a sugar cane train and a cargo ship.
The museum building is also a historical landmark, having been constructed in the mid-1920s and it is located in the heart of Bacolod City.
Entrance fee is Php 100 for general admission, Php 80 for senior citizen and PWD while Php 70 for students.
The museum is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

When we visited, the first floor featured artworks while the second floor featured historical items. The 1st floor is essentially a gallery while the 2nd floor is the museum. If it's your first time, there is a lot to see, but allocating an hour and a half would do. We visited it quickly for about 40 minutes but we still enjoyed. The front desk staff was kind enough to offer a tour, but we declined as we were in a bit of a hurry. Fee for the visit is Php 100 / person.

This place a must visit when in Bacolod. An underrated place, needs more promotion and awareness. Since, the entrance doesn't give you the feel that this place is open to the public and has animals in it. The government should help maintain this place.
This is not your typical zoo. For this place only houses endemic and endangered species that can only be found in the Visayas region. It's an animal conservation site and you can adopt animals. The place is bigger than what I have expected.
For a 100 pesos, you do not only see these animals but you also contributed in maintaining their home and feeding them as well.

Do include this place when you visit Bacolod. Entrance fee is Php 100.00 per person (I think its used to maintain the place and its a way to help the animals adopted and taken care here). You can see different species of birds (mostly), from different parts of the Philippines, there are also other animals such as variants of lizards, wild pig, monkey, deer, and others.
This a non-stock, non-profit corporation, so let’s help them, and help them spread the word, that they are indeed in need of help.

The food court offers a selection of ok options, but the overall atmosphere is not particularly inviting. It is worth noting that the cleanliness of the facility could be improved, as it has not been kept up to the same standards as other shopping centers. Despite these issues, 888 Chinatown Square remains a go-to destination for those in search of a good deal.

I had a wonderful experience at 888 Shopping Centre! The variety of shops and dining options cater to every need. The mall is spacious, well-organised, and clean. The staff are courteous and helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. Parking was hassle-free, and the security measures provided peace of mind. Whether you're shopping for essentials or indulging in retail therapy, 888 Shopping Centre is the place to be. Highly recommended for a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience!"

We arrived at Bacolod during the night on March 2017. We went to this plaza and the church. This place is magical. It's giving me an English vibe. We then strolled around the city and tried their barbecue. Yum!

One of the best parks I have been to. Though this place is a little bit crowded, people tend to distance themselves.

The shady tree areas, green park, people's seats need to be improved. Plants have to be cultivated and propagated. A lot of areas smell pee. Some pet poops along way too. Need proper maintenance and cleaning.

This park is one of the best parks I've ever visited in Bacolod, even in the Philippines. It is greatly maintained and public works keep cleaning it. It is a crowded place and is a great place to hang out with friends. There are several chess players here that might be gambling though. During fiestas and significant events in the city, at nights there are small stalls that are established here like food stalls, souvenir shops, etc. It holds other concerts too. A place fit to be called a park.

I wish we have this in our city. 😞
Bacolod Public Plaza has everything! You can have a whole body massage here! A Mani-Pedi for only 180 pesos! And you can have your shoes 👞 sandals 👡 repaired here. In one corner, you can see elder people conversing/debating about different religious topics. In the other, kids are playing and having so much fun. Just a simple fun place to People-Watch.❤️

The guards here are very strict and annoying.
There should be rules and guidelines posted at every entrance to state what is not allowed in the place. I have been kicked out multiple times for different reasons that seem to not make sense (playing with a ball, bringing a dog in, and not being able to place your bag in the resting areas). You can't enjoy most types of recreation except for walking and biking. Honestly a disappointing and irritating place and deserves something below than 1 star.

The Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol, situated in Bacolod City, is a historic government building renowned for its impressive neoclassical and neo-Romanesque architecture. Serving as the seat of the provincial government, it stands as an iconic landmark in the region. Adjacent to the capitol is a large public park featuring a picturesque lagoon where visitors can enjoy boating and picnicking.
Great place to relax especially in the morning when you walk around exercising yourself. Great view of the Capitol and appreciate its architecture.

The provincial capitol building is already a century old. You can see the beauty of its architecture is influenced by our colonizers. Aside from this, in front of it is their park where there is a huge lagoon-like water. Around it, in the early morning, people do jogging and own exercises.

Pope John Paul II Tower stands as a pilgrimage center in Bacolod City, commemorating the historic visit of Pope John Paul II to the area in February 20, 1981. Located near BREDCO, this impressive eight-story building offers panoramic views of Bacolod City and Guimaras Strait. It serves as a significant landmark honoring the late Pope's visit and provides visitors with an opportunity to reflect on his legacy.
They renovate it into White Hotel.
Combination of antiquity and contemporary beauty. Love this place and will definitely come back.

Ayala Mall Capitol Central in my opinion is the top tier mall in Bacolod City. It’s not the biggest but it’s the classiest. The location is very central to what’s currently happening in Bacolod, right near the Capitol Park and Lagoon, close to all the hip bars, restaurants, nightspots, and hotels.
I’m not saying that it’s on par with but it reminds me of the Greenbelt Malls of Makati. This is my favorite Mall in Negros Occidental for sure.

Not as big or popular as SM, but Ayala has a charm of its own. It's much easier to get a seat at a restaurant and has a few of the same shops as SM. There is also a good OTOP shop on the first floor for handmade Filipino souvenirs, including local coffee beans/grounds.

Great mall to visit. Located centrally in the city, it has a Fiesta Market where you can find most of the Bacolod must try food stores from pasalubong to restaurants here. There’s also a lot of play places for kids.

A very good well designed mall in Bacolod. The level is of a very high standard
The composition of the different shops in the mall is quite equilibrated. In the food and beverages sector there not only fast food but also good restaurants like an Italian restaurant of high level.
The Mall is vast and enlighten. It is very clean even at the services!
The supermarket is very well organized and offers a good assortment of products.
The employees are very polite and sympathetic.
In the same compound just outside the main building there is a kind of market of local products and some food and beverage section.
The mall entrance offers a welcoming square with well designed landscape architecture

Beautiful mall! It’s location is very central which makes it very accessible.
There are still lots of vacant stores which hopefully will open up soon so it will be lovelier.
Their Christmas decors are amazing and that add up to the charm of this place.
Lots of parking slots outside the mall and also within their own parking space.
