Loving farm is a cozy guesthouse located in a mountain forest. Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner during their stay, along with rustic accommodations. While the drive to see cherry blossoms may be lengthy, traffic control ensures safe passage on narrow roads. The surrounding area offers picturesque views and food vendors for added convenience. Dining at the on-site restaurant provides family-style meals with scenic outdoor seating options. The only potential downside is small plank sizes for camping enthusiasts.
Decently priced accommodation in the deep mountains of Northern Taiwan. The road leading up here is somewhat nerve-wracking and by the time of our arrival a torrential rain welcomed us, so we were quite vexed. Luckily the sky cleared up later and we could enjoy a truly breathtaking view right from the porch of our bungalows.
Despite the remote location the room had quite a few amenities: TV, AC, hair dryer, electric kettle etc. as well as water dispenser on the balcony. Breakfast and dinner are 500NT/person but it's really recommended to try it, because the fish and the sanbei peach were both great.

Great place to see cherry blossoms less than 3 hours from Taipei! Dinner is completely worth it; the fresh produce shows. You can also walk to some nearby areas to see their blossoms as well, and should also stop by the 巴陵櫻花步道 on your way in or more likely out if you can drive. Just be aware that traffic with all the tourist buses will make driving a hassle you need to be prepared for…

Quite a drive to get here to see the cherry blossoms but good thing there is traffic control so we won’t come head to head with cars coming from the other direction since the roads are super narrow.
Great place to see cherry blossoms with food vendors available. There is also a restaurant that serves family style meals with view outside.
We would camp here is the plank size isn’t so small.

Food is amazing, refreshing with peach. Worth the cost. Only downside is that its hard to get to. Windy narrow mountain roads

Nice view, but hundreds of flies and a few wasps/ hornets (?) in the morning!!! Those wasps were very aggressive, stung my friend.
The luxury options were nice and they have some sort of open buffet I guess, if you wanted to, that was 500nt per person. We didn't have that.
Tent area was 1000NT. They didn't care much about the tent area, things were broken and not maintained well. That didn't bother us much, but flies didn't give us a break...

So lucky to have a big sunny day to come here with some friends.
We came here to spend the weekend together, and luckily, the sun came with us. We did appreciate a lot the beautiful mountains and the scenery along the way. As far as I am concerned, I just love it!
We got there at around noon, and something special is that there is NO MENU in the restaurant. The meal cost each of us NTD$500, and as you can see the pictures, there were A LOT to eat.
The foods is all natural, some are even grown and homemade by the restaurant. We were so satisfied after finishinig the lunch.

Nice B&B 民宿 with great delicious dinner。Beautiful mountain view.
Conveniently located within walking distance of the A19 station of the AirPort Express / Taoyuan MRT. The stadium is clean and modern, with various dining options available during the entire game. The home field atmosphere is excellent too!
As someone who traveled from abroad and finally had the chance to watch a Rakuten Monkeys’ home game in person, I had no issue navigating through the public transportation from Taipei to Taoyuan.

Unique experience apart from what we usually saw in MLB. Cheerleading is a major draw for the baseball patrons. Special events were held throughout the season.

My favourite stadium in the league as an away fan. 7 Eleven close by so take in your booze, good food selection in the infield with a more limited selection (for obvious reasons) in the away section. Easy to get to from Taipei although from TRA at Zhongli/Taoyuan is more difficult. When you arrive by Taoyuan Metro collect a voucher and on presentation of this/match ticket, get your journey back free. Always a fun experience even if the results don't go our way. My favourite game here was Lions 21-5 win over the Monkeys 😁

The best time I ever had at a ball game. If I knew all of the chants, I would have had an even better time. By the way, the monkeys won.

Birthday wish list and one of the buckets listed, watched a baseball game in Taiwan
Very happy and blessed be able to watch my first baseball game in Taiwan with family
What an exciting experience, doing the home team batting, the fans does not stop cheering, dancing, they will keep dancing with the cheerleaders until all three outs, unbelievable experience
So much fun.
High energy! Players have their own songs and cheer routines, the amazing part was the fans even little kids cheered enthusiastically with the routines and only sat when the opposing team was batting. It’s quite a experience for all of us.

Great stadium, great game (monkeys vs brothers). Fans and kids enjoy the game by dancing and cheering. Food choices are available on stalls. Spacious parking area. Bonus fireworks show if Lamigo Monkey wins!

So fun!! Very chill compared to North American games and hilarious and fun!! I think lots of ppl come to watch the qt. Cheerleaders but the game is also so much fun! Food and beer is cheap. Beer is around $2 CAD and food is also cheap!! Tons of fun!!! Such a great experience!!! Our game was action packed and super high scoring for baseball!

What a fun mall! Although the building itself seems a bit dated, the design is eye-catching, and it is a great place to shop, browse, or just walk and talk. There are food options for every budget, from lower-end options in the basement to more pricey ones on the fourth floor. It seems like it would be a great place to escape the summer heat. The FREE parking is icing on the cake!

So pretty inside! It’s also very clean! They have multiple levels
There’s lots of shops inside and some that I was familiar with like Zara, nike , h&m etc! All the shops are very neat inside. Be considerate when flipping through things. They love helping you look for items so ask if needed!
Bathrooms: very difficult to find. I couldn’t find one for a while and had to ask my way around. Just ask and don’t look for one. It’ll be quicker.

Gloria Outlets is a high-end shopping center filled with internationally renowned luxury brand outlets, as well as various restaurants and cafes. The retail space is immaculate, and signage throughout the mall is clear and easy to follow. The parking lot utilizes light indicators to show available spaces, making it simple for customers to navigate. Staff members are knowledgeable and friendly, providing excellent customer service. Weekdays are recommended for visiting due to the overcrowding during weekends and holidays.
All the big brands are here. I had the luck to visit it in the morning with few people. Spaces are really clean and directions are well displayed. Parking lot is easy to go around and they use the light indicators to show which parkings are available. Staff is helpful and well trained. I had fun.

There isn’t that many stores here but the usual brands you will be able to find.
I picked up some cool pouches as last min shopping at great prices.
There is also a food court where you can get some food and the ATM there I managed to cash some last minute dollars for spending and it is a convenient facility.

Easily accessible via Airport Metro. It takes about an hour from Taipei Main to get here. This outlet mall is the closest you can get to experiencing a North American styled mall in the Taipei area.

Lots and lots of brands are represented here, not all are massively discounted. Still, many bargains can be found especially where sneakers are concerned! This is a good pitstop for food, if you've just arrived from the airport, or when you're headed towards the airport after touring Taichung.

A mall with outdoor concept
It's located nearby the High Speed Train Station
If you want to find and buy branded products, here is the best choice to go
Most of the shops here are luxury brand shops
deagisti yoriska — Google review
It's an American Style Outdoor Mall with hundreds of stores separated into three sections. You'll need a few hours to explore everything. Most of the stores are high end or luxury brands. However, there are a few discount brands available. There are play areas for kids so definitely a family friendly experience. There's also a huge cinema available to watch movies. There's underground parking available but it's convenient located next to the HSR station for Taoyuan which is only 2 stops from Taipei. You can also take the Huanbei line from Taipei which passes by the airport and then stops at the Taoyuan HSR station. There's a huge IKEA located on the other side of the Train Station.

Like most outlet malls, this is one big OUTDOOR non-ending rows of shops. Probably not a good idea to visit during summer but if you brave the heat to visit, it is one of the biggest that I been to. The discount here doesn't seems as good as those outlets at US or Japan but at least there are discount on practically everything that is sold here.

I think this is one of the biggest branded outlets in Taiwan, the perfect place to explore local and international brands at a special price.
Access to this place was very easy, we could take the HSR train from Taipei main station to Taoyuan HSR station, or we could go directly to this place from the airport, the location just 700 m beside the Taoyuan airport.
For foreigners, we can claim a tax refund for a minimum purchase of TWD 2000, and we can get a 5% return in cash.
The layout and store display were amazing, and the public facility was very clean.

Some brands offer quite big discounts, plus there are additional discounts if you buy several items at the same store. I’ve been there on a weekend and it was very very crowded but on a weekday (Tuesday 12March), it was very quiet and there were no lines at all. Enter any of the brands at will.

This is a place that I have visited as a child more than 30 years ago and it was a nice nostalgic place to bring my kids to now.
It was fun to explore the miniature worlds and find places I had seen when I was a child, not much has changed in a good way!
Then we spent majority of the time since it was hot and humid at the water park area and indoor play area (playground, merry go round and dining).
The water park was pretty vast and had many areas of play for different ages of kids.
As foreign visitors, we did not know prior to going but it is required to wear swim caps so stock up before you go or you can purchase at their gift shop as well which we did for about $70NT - $120NT.
There was plenty to keep small ones occupied for the day and they did not want to leave, great place for some water play in the hot humid summer. Also they have stroller rentals for reasonable prices which made the visit easier with small ones and toddlers.
Highlights were the big water ride and train ride to the water park.
We went on a summer week day which was not too crowded at all.
Also, it’s not super easy to get to by public transportation, we took car service/taxi to get there.

An amazingly adorable place to visit! During my visit, there was a huge promotion for the ticket, made the visit even more worth it! If you have kids, definitely bring them over here. Lots of attractions to see and to experience. During summer time is better because they open their water park on July and August only.
Keep in mind during these months the park can be crowded even on weekdays, and the sun shines so bright! So don't forget to pack water, sunscreen, and wear jackets if needed. Also don't forget to bring swimsuit and umbrella as well.
The employees all are very friendly and cheerful, really recommended for a family visit, or even a date!

Pretty nice leisurely experience in this reservoir! We have been there both during weekend (morning around 9am) and weekdays (morning around 10am), it was not so busy in both occasions. We could find parking easily and it wasn’t crowded on the hiking path. It’s perfect to take a walk there now in late April for the hot climate since there are shades from the trees! It is pretty well maintained and most of the path are on pedestrian walk so you don’t have to walk on car lane. Not so many shops open there so make sure to bring your own water or snack if needed. Fugang Old Street is a notable location that served as a hub for street and railway transportation, as well as a marketplace. This area features an impressive landmark building from the 1930s period. The site is conveniently located near the station, popular traditional markets, and even boasts a branch of the Touyan library. Despite its small size, visitors can experience an authentic sense of tradition while exploring this historic locale.
Small, but could go easily. Feeling traditional.

The Fullon Hotel Taoyuan is a stylish and elegant accommodation option that provides guests with a complimentary breakfast, dining options, an inviting pool, and access to a hot spring spa. Despite some negative reviews, the hotel boasts sophisticated quarters that are cozy and well-maintained. The staff members are friendly and accommodating, making for an overall relaxing experience. Located centrally in Taoyuan, the hotel offers decent-sized rooms with above-average quality amenities such as saunas.
Room is very clean and with fresh indoor air. Bed is comfortable. Receptionists are friendly and helpful, especially thank front desk manager Cassandra for her help and her passion and dedication to the work. Great city view from room. 15-20 min away from airport. Free breakfast is amazing with variety of tasty foods. Highly recommended.

All well. Indians may struggle to find out the right choice during breakfast if you are in urgency. Take time, you can find your choice.

Bad hotel experience. Horrible breakfast served, the bacon is very hard to chew. And the scallion Taiwanese pancake is tough and tasteless. Please get your chef to improve their cooking skills. The swimming pool is closed for maintenance during the weekend, so we're not able to utilise it

The Fullon Taoyaun is adequate. It is easy to see that it was very nice at one time. The quality of the marble and granite in the rooms has stood the test of time. The room was clean. Like many hotels the air-conditioning turns off at night so the room is warm and stuffy. Service was very good, staff are excellent. Biggest disappointment was breakfast. Not the variety usually seen at a business hotel and they ran out of many items, which reduced choice even more. I would rank this hotel as just OK overall. Good if you have business nearby. The price is good. But if you do not mind traveling a bit further or paying more, then there are better choices.

Approximately 15-20 minutes ride away from the airport. Not a particular luxurious hotel. Room interior has a rather old design. Room is equipped with a refrigerator and a kettle etc. Other basic amenities are also provided like bottled waters.
Convenience stores are downstairs across the road and there is a supermarket nearby.

Don’t really understand why it’s rated so poorly. I though the dim sum at the fullon hotel was delicious. I loved the radish cakes and the sweet and sour ribs. I think it’s one of the best dim sum places I’ve been to in Taoyuan

We stay at the Fullon Hotel because our flight was delayed but is very happy with the hospitality. The hotel is clean, and the room is spacious and comfortable.

This hotel is very centrally located for Taoyuan business. The staff is excellent and the service fantastic. The food is fine (not great; but fine). The breakfast buffet is adequate for all tastes and cuisines. Again, not the best, but very adequate - nothing in which to complain.
The rooms are all dated and in much need of refurbishment; particularly the carpets (we had two rooms for two colleagues). The carpets are very worn and very dirty (filthy in fact). The beds and baths are very clean. If the carpets and floors were clean, I would rate the property much higher.

Decent place for a walk. Has a small pond/ river type of water body near it. Didn't find any nice place to take pictures as you can see...
Personally I love walking near Tamsui and this comes nowhere near it. Well of course the ocean is way prettier than a small lake.
I feel really at peace near the ocean water but lol there's just a dirty pond here. Nothing much to look at really, just a lot of open space for walking.
Don't think I would go back again.

A Serene Oasis: Bade Pond Ecology Park is a Must-Visit in Taiwan!
Visiting Bade Pond Ecology Park in Taiwan felt like stepping into a tranquil sanctuary nestled within the bustling city. This hidden gem exceeded my expectations with its stunning beauty, delightful wildlife, and educational experience.
First and foremost, the sight of free-range ducks, geese, and roosters roaming around the park added a whimsical touch to the entire visit. Their graceful presence truly set the tone for a peaceful and serene atmosphere. As I strolled along the park's pathways, the harmonious quacks and gentle honks were a soothing soundtrack to my exploration.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the remarkable diversity of wildlife within the park's shimmering waters. Families of turtles gracefully glided through the pond, their heads occasionally poking above the surface, as if inviting visitors to marvel at their elegance. The sight of vibrant carp gracefully swimming amongst the lily pads added a touch of color to the already picturesque scenery.
One of the standout qualities of Bade Pond Ecology Park is the thoughtful integration of education. The park boasts easy-to-find signs, providing valuable insights into the various plant and animal species residing within its boundaries. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or a parent seeking a hands-on learning experience for children, this park is a treasure trove of knowledge waiting to be discovered.
Aside from its educational value and breathtaking allure, the park itself is meticulously maintained. Walking paths wind their way through lush greenery, inviting visitors to wander and explore at their own pace. The inclusion of seating areas along the banks of the pond allowed for peaceful reflection, making it an ideal spot to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Bade Pond Ecology Park is truly a hidden wonder that deserves to be on everyone's itinerary while visiting Taiwan. Whether you're an avid wildlife enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a serene retreat, this park offers an unforgettable experience. Prepare to be captivated by the majestic free-range ducks, geese, and roosters, charmed by the graceful turtles and lively carp, and enlightened by the readily available educational resources. Love this place. It’s great for a casual walk surrounded by nature, has a nice, big open field great for all sorts of fun games and other activities with family, including picnicking, has free parking, features a Tina cafe right there in the middle of it all, and throughout the park there’s lots of small wildlife. There are even filtered water dispensers outside the restrooms.

The Daxi Tea Factory is a historic attraction that dates back to the 1920s and provides tours, tastings, and a shop selling tea-related products. Situated in an area with numerous other tourist destinations, visitors must drive to the factory and pay a NT$100 per person entrance fee. The entrance hall showcases various tea-related products on shelves, while the processing side of the display features photos, history, and old machines for visitors to explore.
Good place to understand the history of Taiwanese tea. Japanese and English pamphlets are also available but Mandarin tour guide is really interesting.
Ka-li?p Chu — Google review
I wouldn't particularly recommend a visit to this tea factory. While it does offer some insights into tea-making processes and a glimpse into the history, along with a chance to view the old machinery, the 150 NTD (~5 USD) ticket price feels somewhat excessive. The factory doesn't offer an extensive array of things to explore or see. If you're eager to delve deeper into the world of tea, I'd strongly suggest considering the one near Sun Moon Lake (free entrance); it offers a far more enriching experience.
As for the ticket, they do allow you to redeem 100 NTD for purchasing souvenirs, but even with this benefit, I still find it somewhat overpriced, given the rates of the souvenirs available.
Monica Yang Yang — Google review
Unless you are really interested in all of the details of tea production, this place is not for you.
First of all, be warned that the location is incredibly difficult to get to by public transportation, Second of all, the ticket price is way too much (150NTD) when you are essentially entering into a glorified gift shop with a very small "museum" attached. The upstairs is kind of interesting, but overall how everything is displayed (outside of the git shop + cafe) is very sloppy. There also aren't many places on the grounds which make for interesting photo opportunities.
Unless you are a middle-aged person who is opressed with tea and a big disposable budget to spend on it, I wouldn't recommend visiting.

If you have never visited the tea factory, you would probably miss to make a turn into the lane. Admission tickets can be used as vouchers in the shops inside.
It is a great place to feel the magic of light and time.
I must say, the tea egg in the cafe really amazed me. Strongly recommended!

There are a lot of attraction in the region. One needs to drive to the old tea processing factory. It costs NT$100 per person entrance fee. It is nicely display with shelfs of tea related products at the entrance hall. One then enters the processing side of the display with photos, history, and old machines. One could also watch a short video of the place. We visited the place in the last day of 2020, a bit cold and drizzling afternoon, not too many visitors. The place was quit and nice to walk around. The entrance fee could also be used to purchase cash equivalent of merchandise. It is a nice place to visit.
C. Thomas Chao — Google review
Admission is 100NTD but you can use it towards any purchase inside the factory. It’s a pretty cool and Instagram-worthy tea factory. There are a lot of tea selections if you’re into that. It gets pretty packed on the weekends and parking is very limited.

It's a nice place with historical ambience. The orientation perfectly bring the audience back to the old days. Highly recommend to listen there introduction of this factory.
Daxi Old Street is a historic location in Taoyuan that is known for its specialty shops, cafes, and traditional food stalls. The street features many ancient snack and eatery shops, such as shaved ice, peanut powder candy, and rice crackers. Additionally, there are antique sculptures on display throughout the area. This famous tourism spot culminates in a large garden at the end with a small pond where visitors can observe old wells dating back to the 80s.
On the banks of Dahan river, a beautiful old street with many cultural artifacts and shops. Many choices for street foods here. The scenery around is quite appealing. A good place for family picnics during the weekends or holidays. Can drive or ride since there is enough place for parking.

Nice casual place for a walk, there's some stores and restaurants. I went on a weekday and most of the stores were closed, not sure if it's better on weekends. A bit too quiet on weekdays in my opinion. there's also a suspension bridge you can check out. There's also a couple of temples to see if that your thing. The buildings styles there are mostly traditional. you can probably spend around an afternoon there.
Jeff Huang — Google review
Some interesting facades make a photogenic backdrop for the mix of food and souvenir shops that dominate this well known area.
The street is known for its rare treats including malted peanut candy - peanut flour coated maltose - a low sweetness laminated confection that is made before your eyes.
Our midweek visit was free of crowds but it also meant some of the shops were closed.
There were plenty of street food vendors so you can graze as you stroll.
There’s a riverside park with a suspension bridge nearby if you want something else to do.

It is an old street with some historical old Japanese designed buildings and some interesting snack like sak ke ma ( egg pastry) which has no added sugar and is not fried with different almond, coconut, garlic and osmanthus flavour. At the end of the street, you can walk down some winding stone steps to the Daxi bridge. Near the bridge, there is a lift to the park where there is toilet and a small viewing tower.

Just down the stairs to go to the Daxi Bridge, or take the lift.
There is a museum too, you can have several stamps there for your stamp's collections.
One thing to point out, they provide a bidet in the restroom which is very useful for me that never get used to toilet paper only.

The Zhongli Tourist Night Market is a lively marketplace that offers an array of street food, clothing, and hardware for visitors to enjoy. This well-organized and hygienic market provides a great variety of food choices, including fried boneless pork ribs and sweet potato balls, while also offering sit-down options for those seeking a proper meal. The stall owners are welcoming and cordial with reasonable prices that won't break the bank.
Pretty comprehensive night Market, with the usual local eats spoiled with lots of choices, games and bargain clothes shopping. A must go if you're in Taoyuan, as quite a big night Market as the rest of the town is rather dead otherwise. There are a few stores here that had really long queues, like the springroll, stinky tofu and takoyaki balls. So follow the crowd if youd like to try some of the locals favourite.

I had the opportunity to visit Zhongli's night market during a layover and found it to be a well-organized and clean market with a good variety of food options.
Visiting on a Monday, the market wasn't too crowded, making it easy to navigate. I enjoyed trying the fried boneless pork ribs and sweet potato balls, which were both delicious. For those who prefer a sit-down meal, there were also stalls that offered rice dishes.
The stall owners were friendly and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable.
Overall, Zhongli's night market is a recommended stop for anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable food experience.

Usually I avoid going to night market during weekends but I was just staying opposite for a Sunday without much other dining options nearby except here so I came.

It's a fairly large night market, with not only a lot of food stalls, but also miscellaneous goods, smartphone-related goods, stuffed animals, and games for kids, making it feel like a night market that the whole family can enjoy.
There aren't many food stalls with permanent tables, so simple counters are fine, so I felt like it would be nice to have them at strategic points at this night market.
It's reassuring to know that there is a nice toilet around the middle.
The nearest new MRT Laojiakei Station is a 30-minute direct train ride from Taoyuan Airport, making it a very accessible night market, so it's a great place to enjoy sightseeing in Taiwan as well as in Taipei.
Perhaps because of this, there are many hotels, massage shops, and breakfast shops.

We visited this night market twice over a week long recent trip. We liked the hot pipping wonton noodles soup near the entrance, operated by a young and friendly couple. Especially in the cold evening. 👍👍We ate twice at the stall. Special mention on the 广东猪肠粉 shop. It was so good 💯. You can choose to dine in or take away. The fresh oysters on eggs was quite yummy too.😋

One of the better and more popular (with locals) night markets in Taoyuan. The stalls are mostly packed in a sealed street with some lining the adjacent main road.

A lot of stalls offering entertainment as well - mahjong, fishing etc
