Andino Aparts El Chalten is a very comfortable and well-equipped accommodation in the picturesque parkland of El Chalten. It is ideally situated for guests wanting to visit the area's popular attractions.
Amazing accommodations and lovey property. Love the breakfast they provided!!

Great apartment, very nice setup, fully equipped, location was great for hiking being right next to the trail head for multiple different hikes, and the front desk team was very helpful. There was also a nice cat there. We highly recommend it.

We stayed here for two days during a stay in El Chalten. The host Alejandro was super accommodating to our many requests. The room was nice and clean, had two floors including a second floor queen-sized bed, and a main floor bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is modern with a glass shower. There was also a kitchenette which was great. When we asked for more eggs for breakfast, the host brought it to us within a few minutes, along with a quart of milk and some additional slices of bread. Would highly recommend.

Very comfortable and clean apartment with everything needed for a good stay. We stayed in a ground floor apartment and ended up cooking all of our meals there during our 4 day stay since the apartment was so great! It also has 2 large tvs that play English movies all day.

Great apartments. Immaculate and clean. All amenities. Stayed in the 2 bedroom ones. Beautiful view of the mountains from upstairs. Perfect base for trekking. On the edge of town but only a 12min walk to the main street. We loved it.

Not on main street but lovely apartments. Nice breakfast given. Only problem was noisy neighbors. Walls must be thin.

Clean but no view.
One of the better apartments in El Chalten. The bed was very comfortable and the entire apartment unit is clean. Comes with a kitchen, bathroom and a bed room with plenty of storage.
It is located a few paces from the del tores 4 hr hike. And a few minutes walk away from the main street that houses the many restaurants.
The receptionist was very kind and helpful. They bring in a big box if breakfast which was plentiful. Our main door key was a little hard to open but besides that we had no complaints.

The apartments are big, basic but comfortable. I was positively surprised by the daily breakfast and cleaning (kitchen and bathroom mainly). The staff is very nice, always available and helpful. We had an issue with the tyre of our car and they helped us connecting with a local mechanic.

Comfortable rooms. Cleaned daily. Every evening they drop off food for breakfast which is so more food than we could eat! Eggs, fresh bread, yogurts, alfajores, jam, dulce de leche, cream cheese, orange juice and fruit. They also provided a gluten free box for a member of our group who is coeliac. Nice view from the kitchen window. Located in a quiet spot on the edge of the town. Easy to walk everywhere as El Chalten is small. Right next to the start of one of the trails.
Mirador Torre is a picturesque location that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Situated at an elevated point, it provides an unobstructed sight of the scenic beauty in the vicinity. The viewpoint is renowned for its panoramic vistas and attracts numerous visitors seeking to relish nature's splendor. Mirador Torre is a popular spot for photography enthusiasts who capture mesmerizing shots of the breathtaking scenery.
Chorrillo del Salto is a popular tourist attraction that offers short treks and picnics. The waterfall is glacier-fed and surrounded by peaks and woodland, providing an atmospheric walk to a busy area. Visitors can drive on the dirt road or hike for longer to reach the waterfall, which is only 3 kilometers away from El Chalten. It's an easy walk that provides a break from long hikes, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy nature without too much effort.
A nice and short walk to the waterfall. It’s a break from long hikes, this is easy and chilled. The view of the waterfall is also good!

This waterfall provides is a great spot to sit in the water or on the rocks nearby to enjoy the day. It's perfect for a family, a date, or just to enjoy time to yourself. The walk is 500m from the closest parking lot, but there is another parking area about 1km away. Go during the morning to avoid the crowds, the heat, and to find good parking. The dirt road driving in gets very dusty very quickly.

Beautiful waterfall we were able to visit prior to checking into our hotel. Quiet and peaceful and not very busy, great for pictures and just being able to experience the beauty

Amazing Waterfall with a flat path. It's slightly far from the city, but if you're taking a day tour, it's very simple to get to. The path is pretty beautiful with trees with colored leaves. You can cross to the other side of the flowing water, but your feet will get wet as there is not enough stones to cross.
Subash Jagadeesan — Google review
Atmospheric walk to busy waterfall. Drive straight out of El Chat on the dirt road or hike for longer.

A majestic place, a must see if you visit the El Chaltén region. Only a short walk from the city.

Nice easy walk. Suitable for everyone. The road is bad (ripio), if you go by car. You can also walk 3km from El Chaltén.

I have never been experienced like that before.l in my life. I walked in the forest near the river for hours. I didn't understand time passed fast. It should be stayed at least few days for feeling nature soul. Unbelievable an experience.

Lovely scenic spot. Wrap up warm and try to get there before the crowds as it can get very busy in the early afternoon.
Ed Hopewell — Google review
Easy walk from the parking lot (500 meters). If you drive here, keep in mind the road is all gravel/rocks. You can hike here from El Chaltén but it can be a little dusty from the cars driving by.
The waterfall is impressive. A nice place to sit on the rocks and relax.
Axxley — Google review
A mild walk will take you to the waterfall. There is a small detour available to a toilet. Water is crystal clear and as cold as it can be. Access with dogs is not allowed.
If you go by car, there is a small parking that takes you closer to the waterfall - inside the park, on a parallel road to what goes to the Fitz Roy hike. Shortens the walk by about 3km / 2mi.
Orsi S — Google review
Very easy flat 500 m stroll through forest on an easy path from the parking lot to the pretty waterfall. This trail can be done easily by anyone in very little time. Probably also can be done in a wheelchair.
Phil McC — Google review
Very easy walk to see beautiful falls within the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The trail is accessible directly from El Chaltén. At the end of the main street stay to the right to access the trail. You can either walk or drive the 2.2km to the trail head.

(Translated by Google) Experience necessary to know the history of Patagonia in all its rawness.
In the middle of nowhere and with nothing more than his bravery and cunning, Andreas Madsen left his mark in this beautiful corner. A heartfelt story from the guide Gerónimo that moves at times while still transmitting a message of solidarity and harmony with nature and the native peoples. The walk only prepares you to empathize with the sacrifice of these pioneers, also reflected in the simplicity and precariousness of the house.
How lucky we went!!

(Translated by Google) Very good experience to take advantage of a free afternoon in El Chaltén, for example on a rainy day or bad weather that prevents you from doing the classic walks.
The visit must be booked in advance at the travel agency that organizes it (Walk Patagonia) and in April 2023 it cost $4,500 per person.
The price does not include transportation to Casa Madsen. You must go in your own vehicle, on foot or in a truck. From the bridge that crosses the Río de las Vueltas the road is dirt and with wells. When you book the visit, the agency shows a map of how to get there and you have to photograph it and PAY ATTENTION TO THE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED, since the path lacks signage.
In our case we shared the tour with an English-speaking couple and the guide Gero gave us the explanation in Spanish and English, separating the story into sections in such a way that it was enjoyable and continuity or interest was not lost at any time.
The entire story revolves around the life of Andreas Madsen, the first non-native settler of the area, his wife Fanny and their descendants.
The visit includes a snack with tea or coffee and pastries and concludes with a tour of the graves of deceased family members.

The Tourist Information Center, Centro de Informes Turisticos, is known for its amicable and knowledgeable staff who provide visitors with comprehensive guidance about the region. Visitors praise the center's informative personnel who willingly offer recommendations and maps to help make their stay more enjoyable. However, some tourists express a desire for topographical maps of the area that are not available at the center. Overall, this information hub has a reputation for providing courteous assistance without relying too heavily on repetitive language.
The park rangers help you a lot with all the info about the trails, a nice museum, they have videos of all the trekks and seal of the park for your passport

(Translated by Google) Excellent option to eat in El Chalten and within all a good price in relation to the quality. The place is small, 10 tables and closes early at 11:30 p.m. We went for dinner (April 2024), had a glass of wine for $3500 and ate trout sorrentinos and lamb ravioli. Approximately the dishes between $11,000 and $16,000. Soft drinks $2500.
We spent $42,000 for two people, but the food was very good and the service was excellent. It really is to recommend. The flavor of the trout and the lamb really make a difference. Desserts are less than $5,000.
It is ideal to indulge in the last night of Chalten.
