Las Acacias Coffee Farm boasts a stunning location that is definitely worth visiting. The farm can be reached by taking a scenic walk from Salento or by riding in a jeep. English-speaking guides are available to provide visitors with an introduction to coffee production and processing, making it an ideal starting point for those interested in learning more about the industry in the region. In addition, the picturesque views surrounding the farm are a sight to behold. Visitors are encouraged to try their coffee, as personal preferences vary widely.
Really enjoyed our tour. This is one of the smaller farms around here. They literally only sell their coffee on site, so it's a proper artisan operation. The guide was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the surprisingly interesting coffee growing process, and a bit about some of the other plants they grow here. Got two free cups of very good coffee too!

We did the coffee tour with Alvaro and had a great experience. He gave us a very thorough explanation of the coffee process and how the farm operates, and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend!

Lovely place to visit. Enjoyed the walk from Salento to the small farm. Mr. Alvaro was my English speaking guide. I think I kind of derailed him with all sorts of questions. My curiousity got the better of me. lol
Got the fundamentals of the coffee plantation from him. Good starting point if one is interested to learn more about coffee growing in the region & coffee processing.
Preference of coffee is something I have always found personal. Go ahead and try theirs ! P.s. the views surrounding the farm are gorgeous. you can also take a ride in the jeep to & from Salento.

Curious to know all the secrets of coffee? Las Acacias and our incredible guide Cristhian welcomed us in their beatiful farm and coffee plantation. In a humorous yet professional and passionate way he transmitted us all his knowledge about coffee, from bean to cup. We highly appreciated the genuine and traditional flair of the farm in a region where coffee tours are becoming extremely touristy. We couldn’t recommend Las Acacias enough.

Amazing tour. Our guide Natalia was excellent, one of the best guides we've had. Very genuine, knowledgeable and frank. Made for a refreshing experience. The tour itself is very informative. Not just about coffee but also the flora and Fauna that grow in the region to support the overall environment. You get a coffee before and after. Get to see chickens rabbits and dogs and cats play around. Someone noted the rabbits are caged and I asked about that, it's because to protect them from predators like snakes.l, so it's for a good reason. Highly recommend and hope the farm continues its presence in its current form.

Went there for a coffee tour because it was recommended by our hostel and we were not disappointed. You can do the tour in English or in Spanish. It lasts around 1 hour. You learn about the history of the farm, about the geography and the country, and of course coffee. We even got to pick up some coffee. We saw the process from the farm to your mug and got to taste some at the end.
We would definitely recommend doing it with them. We paid 20 000 COP per person. You can chill a bit when you drink your coffee and observe some pretty birds.

We had a really nice tour here with Christian. He was easy to chat to and answered our questions about everything and anything.
Not far from town, about 20-25 mins walking.
It cost 25k per person and we got a nice cup of coffee at the end. No need to book, they seem to do tours every hour and you can sit and enjoy a coffee and the views if you have to wait.

The tour guide named Christian, absolutely sweet person who is very knowledgeable about the whole coffee process. The guide was hands on especially picking out coffee beans, putting them in soil for them to grow and even brew them! Also had some coffee from the place and have to say, it was perfectly brewed and absolutely worth your time. I would highly recommend to come to this tour all about coffee!

The tour was fun and had the right depth to understand the process of coffee. Camillo was a great guide! You don’t need to book in advance, the tour starts when there are enough people. A coffee (with great view) is included in the tour, so enjoy!

A very informative tour (25k) on a beautiful small family coffee farm with a good english speaking guide. Learnt so much about the coffee growing and farm to bag process. The coffee was delicious, even to someone who doesn't usually like it. Very smooth and perfect with just milk and no sugar. The walk here was quite nice too.

Having done tours of both this finca and the much bigger El Ocaso I can't recommend enough at least considering adding this family-run farm to your itinerary. The finca is gorgeous and the tour feels very hands-on, plus you can't get the coffee outside of Colombia

We had a tour with Cristian. He speaks perfectly English and knows also some German words. He explained everything very well and was an awesome guide! We can recommend him! Furthermore the tour is not only a tour about coffee. It’s also about agricultural situation of Salento and what else they produce there. You can walk there in 45/60 mins from Salento depending on where you stay or you take a bike/horse!
Mirador Alto de la Cruz is a sightseeing spot that offers a decent view of the town's layout and the surrounding mountains. Though not spectacular, it only takes minimal effort to reach the viewpoint, making it an enjoyable 20-minute activity. Visitors can also explore nearby shops, including a ceramics shop with high-quality souvenirs made on-site. The area has several vegetarian and vegan restaurant options available as well. It may be worth visiting during sunset if one has spare time.
6 flight of stairs, 242 steps to the top for the view of Salento. The Salento 3D letter signage is no longer there.

Nice viewpoint with a couple of stalls to purchase snacks and drinks. This viewpoint primarily looks over the town

Just ok, not very spectacular, but as it will only take you 5 min max its also a small effort. Go here if you have some spare time during sunset.

For the low amount of effort it takes to get to the view point there's really no reason not to do it. Is it the most spectacular view? No.
You'll spend an enjoyable 20 minutes up there and move on. It also gives you a good image of how the town is laid out.
Instead of going down the stairs to get back go left down a little side trail. There are a few shops including an amazing ceramics shop that actually has high quality souvenirs made right there.

Definitely worth all the stairs. Once you have your photos from the top, follow the path down through the play area to the north to get to the second view point which is better. Then you can also follow the road down from there and avoid the stairs.

Great place to overlook the city. Also nice for sunset, but the sun hides behind some trees, so you will just see reflection on the city and surrounding mountains.

If you go to this lookout, dont forget to go directly right when you got op from the stairs. The main lookout is OK but if you follow the small path for 100 meters there is a wooden lookout which was way nicer.

Great place for sightseeing. You can see a lot of the mountains here. The restaurants around here have several vegetarian and vegan options. It's a bit of a hike to get up here, but it's worth it.

A moderate hike up to the top but a very nice view of Salento and surrounding mountains. The top is very simple and a little run down.

If you visiting Salento you must watch the sunset from here, it's just amazing. Besides climbing the stairs will help you burn the calories you probably would have eaten on the way up.

I can't recommend Salento enough! The views, the people and the food were all very memorable!! I will definitely be visiting this place again! Small Town, great weather,
