Jogasaki Coast is a stunning natural attraction in Izu, offering a serene escape from the city. The coastline, formed by volcanic activity, spans about 5.6 miles and features a picturesque hiking trail with seasonal flowers and breathtaking ocean views. Visitors can traverse the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, which stretches 157 feet above the water and provides an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers.
Breathtakingly beautiful. The coast is super rocky and can get very windy, but the color of the water is just beautiful. Lots to explore and see, including rocky areas that you can climb around on and find hidden rock pools. Be sure to wear proper shoes because it’s very easy to trip over.

An absolute breath taking view. The coast and even the nature around it are all stunning. There is a lighthouse which you can climb up and a suspension bridge. The cliff coastline is made of volcanic rock, which in itself is a marvel. Parking does cost, but it is only ¥500 which goes towards taking care of the coast.

Awesome place.
So this was not in my initial plan, I thought it will be okay however we visited this place out of surprise to ourself🤣
Real Destination- New York Lamp Museum
Forest path out side of NYLM, now there are two ways of you want some extra stress on your leg and want to just on rocks near the ocean then take the long route, if you are just looking for forest walk and direct reach to the destination then go for the small path- I personally liked the small path it's peaceful but may be teens and kids will like the long one.
Walk is good so have your camera with you.
Now there are three things to see one is the suspension bridge second is the rocky coat ( long route) next is the light house view.
Parking area is big 2 parking is available.
Not sure about the charges.
It's nice place to visit. Fresh air and blue sky beautiful scenery.

Breathtaking views. Beautiful drive. Easy access. 500 yen parking. Good for photo shoots and a stop along the way of a trip. But not enough to make a day of.

Nice location, parking costs 500. Lighthouse closes at 4pm, so be early. Other than that, not much to be seen, but it is a great place to relax.

Really pretty bridge, cliffs, seas views, there are even places rock climbing. But it is mostly trad climbing and you gotta bring your own gear. Just FYI. Great date spot too. 😉💕

From Jogasaki-Kaigan Station, I came walking to this wonderful viewpoint. The impact of the waves to the rocks gives such a wonderful atmosphere to this place that really feels like an adventure. There are some nice shops around to spend around half a day. This place was a surprise during my Ito visit, highly recommended to come here and take a look, it does really feel like an adventure!

This place is lush green and has rocky beach. To reach the coast you will need to do a short trek. The place seems to be end of land. It is a beautiful place to go any time around the year. Highly recommended for people sorting peace and a little adventure.

Decent coastal views, nearest parking lot has ¥500 parking fee for the entire day.

Nice coastal walk. There is a light house with free access to the top enroute. The suspension bridge made a great photo point esp if take from shore.
Colin K — Google review
The trail is fairly easy with proper shoes and offers breathtaking views of the sea and uniquely shaped cliffs. Went on a Monday, so it was not crowded at all. Unfortunately, the Kadowaki Lighthouse was not open to the public at that time. Be careful when taking pictures at the cliff edge since there are almost no barriers.

Beautiful place with stunning views of the coast and the place is not crowded which is a blessing ✨️. There's no entrance fees to enter here and the parking is 500¥ per entry.

It's surprisingly beautiful, and the suspension bridge is not too long. I was able to cross the other side without having a nervous breakdown😆👍✔️💯

Mt. Omuro, an extinct volcano located in the eastern coast of Izu Peninsula, boasts a distinct shape resembling an inverted rice bowl that can be seen from afar. This peak is popular for its unique appearance and offers visitors exciting paragliding adventures, archery range inside the crater, and a zoo at its foot.
Nice view.
A must-visit place around here.
You can take a "bowl tour" up here.
Walking around the crater.
Mt. Fuji is always a good thing to see from anywhere.
You can find Izu islands.
You can even see Bousou Peninsula, the other side of Tokyo bay.
If you go by car, you should go early so you can park easily.
Dai Shimura — Google review
The place is not too big and you can stay for about 15 to 20 minutes. You can see the scenery of Izu City and Sagami Bay. Izu Shaboten Zoo is next to it and you can reserve an afternoon to visit two spots. Keep this ticket you can enjoy discount ticket for the zoo.

Very nice place but due to GW line is always long however there are some nice snacks point you can try while waiting in line. I tried WASABI ICE CREAM - oh god that was something.. if you are there just try that. They also have other flavors like aloe Vera and stuff.
Now good stuff --
1- there are three car parking and one bus parking. Just park it in the first one I saw people rushing for the other two parking which is in front of the Gate. So this can save some time.
2- this place is wheelchair accessible.
3- toilet on the side of Mt Omuro, is again too busy better to use toilet across the road.
4- near buy places are also cool 19 min. Drive to NEW YORK LAMP MUSEUM which is awesome see my review for that..
And soba shop is also near by 13 min drive. And yes amusement park is also close by so full day trip for that area will do.
And most importantly-
enjoy your self and your vacation, you earned it.

If you are around you should definitely stop by. (Only when it’s good weather)
¥1000 for the lift.

Amazing. Definitely a re-visit. Do try the archery as it quite enjoyable, especially in such a wide and spacious area. Also, a very photogenic site.
Phoenix H. — Google review
Once a volcano, Mt. Omuro is now covered with grass and features a circular trail with a 360-degree view of the Izu Kogen area and beyond (you can see Mt. Fuji when visibility is good). The chairlift costs 700 yen and is a pleasant 5-minute ride to the top. Once at the top, it takes about 15-30 minutes to walk around the crater. You will find a small Shinto shrine, jizo statues, souvenir shops and food stalls. At the bottom of the crater, you can also try your hand at archery. It’s a must-see!

Went to Mt. Omuro on 04/05/2023. We went to the top at the late afternoon, so had the sunset experience which was magical, beyond expectations.. one thing f the must visited place if anyone visits izu and should go there at afternoon not before that..

Great view to feel the famous Kimi No Na Wa crater scene.
The cable car ride is a bit exciting as you practically jump up and down from your seat when you mount and dismount, while the car itself continues its uninterrupted travel.

Mandy Kung — Google review
The ride up the mountain was one of the most memorable moments of our vacation this summer. The kids absolutely loved it! The 360view was spectacular! Everywhere you turn, you’re engulfed in a sea of lush matcha green. Viewed from above, the meticulously manicured grass plain on the crater seemed mellow and soft, primarily veiled in a thin smoke of morning fog, then unraveled by the golden touch of sunlight as the hours pass by, sheer joy.

Mt. Omuro 大室山 ~ #extinctvolcano
- one of the most interesting attractions in Ito & Izu peninsula with a scenic chair lift that takes you to the summit of the lush green mountain. Once on the top, you can enjoy a round track with amazing views of other mountains and the sea. There is also a restaurant/food shop and activities like archery on top of the mountain. This is truly a unique experience. There are restrooms on the top as well. They usually block your photos on the way up and then you have a choice to either buy them or not.

Good view of Fuji San. You can climb there on a cable car. The safety measurement was not tight but enough. You can enjoy buying some souvenirs on the top the mountain. Do not be surprised If you see archery inside the volcano. :)
Izu Shaboten Zoo is a unique combination of botanical garden and zoo, featuring 1,500 different types of cactus and succulent plants from around the world. Visitors can learn about cactus cultivation and even take part in a cactus caring course. The zoo area is home to approximately 140 species of animals, including spider monkeys, parrots, and capybaras that roam freely and can be fed and petted by visitors.
Highly recommend this zoo for everyone!!!
All the animals and plants are so cute. You can feed the animals, some of them will let
you pet them. I love cactus plants , the mini cactus farm and the Hinamatsuri cactus are beautiful.
Mandy Choy — Google review
I visited on a very wet and cold spring day, but I still managed to enjoy it. There were some places under cover, there were free umbrellas to borrow and even an outdoor heater to gather around. However, I recommend taking warm, waterproof clothing with you as the zoo is on a mountain. There is a lot to see, and many animals to feed but it is a bit expensive at 2800 yen per adult. Public transport too and from the site is available but isn't very frequent. So, plan your bus times and stick to them.
Paul Thomas — Google review
Lots of animals that you can feed!
But it's quite expensive and the bit of food costs 200¥
Huge variety of cacti, and there was a capybara onsen!

The animals were adorable here. Especially the capybara hot spring. I think the entry fee is fairly priced as well as the food. Which exceeded my expectations, I got udon for lunch it was delicious. I will say that the gift shop however is a bit too over priced in my opinion.

Must visit if you aroud this area. I would say is better than mt omuro which just beside it. U can really touch the animals and all of them are cute. Not the mainstream lion tiger animal here, but all lovely cute animals. Definitely worth it. Spend around 2hours to walk whole park and photos . Remember to keep your cable car ticket for discount!

We have been to a lot of zoos, so this one was a little disappointing. The entire place could use fresh coats of paint and some cleaning- especially the penguin enclosure and the Prarie dog enclosure. With that being said, there are many opportunities to feed and pet the animals, which my daughter especially enjoyed. We really loved the red panda area- you can get a great look at them as they explore around you. The area has plenty of shaded walkways, and several really good food areas. There is a huge variety of cactus growing throughout the zoo- pretty impressive! There is an icecream shop at the entrance that has cactus icecream. The bird paradise is also a rat paradise, so be on the lookout because they are everywhere. If you are looking for a small animal, hands on zoo, this is an ok option.
Brandy Roberts — Google review
One of the most interactive animal experiences I have done in Japan.
Not only can you pet and feed numerous types of animals but the wide open layout of the zoo is a refreshing sight compared to seeing many animals enclosed.

It's not the easiest place to get to if you don't drive. Otherwise, the zoo has gorgeous views at the mountain and ocean. The capybaras are definitely the highlight of the zoo! Make sure you check the zoo's website for the capybara bath schedule and don't miss it!
Ray Chu — Google review
If you want to see the capybaras in their iconic hot tub setting make sure to come during bathing season. It starts in November and runs till spring. Otherwise you’ll only encounter them in the petting zoo area, which is however also quite cool.
Marlene Ronstedt — Google review
The best zoo ever! Lots of opportunities to pet and feed capybaras, baby goats, llamas and more. Loved feeding little fishes to the otters. Birds including peacocks roam free. Capybara spa says it is only open in winter, but was still open when we went in late April.
Ruby Walker — Google review
A zoo that lets you pet many of the animals and let them roam freely around you. Famous for it's Capybara onsen during the winter season. Able to see Mt Fuji on clear days!

🦆 Duck. Their honks are hilarious
🦚 Peacocks randomly roam too
🦊 Fennec foxes

Musho Pea — Google review
Quite a sizeable zoo with many different areas and animals. The charm of the zoo is that they don’t have any large animals, but they showcase a lot of other medium and smaller sized animals that are just as interesting.
The capybara onsen bath only occurs during the winter months and is definitely one of the highlights of the zoo. For most of the exhibits, they also allow you to purchase food so that you can feed the animals yourself. You could definitely spend a few hours here strolling through all the exhibits.
Ong Yihao — Google review
They have Capybera onsen everyday during the winter. Be sure to check the official website for the schedule. It's only between 1:30-2:30 PM for weekdays when we went. There was a big crowd that died down after 20 minutes. Plenty of other cute animals to see but be aware the zoo chains up all the owls so not the best treatments like most Asian zoos. From Ito station, taxi cost about 4000-5000 yen while bus is 880 yen per person.
Wei Li — Google review
We visited Izu zoo on a windy Sunday. The weather was cold and windy but clear sky so we could see the Mount Fuji - through small entrance ( Pedestrian gate) near the Mount Omuro. Zoo was recommended by local friend and it was great visit. There are many animals move around freely in open air and you can feed/ pet them. Many collections of cactus 🌵- as if you are in deserts. Animals food can be bought mostly 200 Yens. We enjoyed the visit very much. Highly recommended place for family fun.
Tips - make sure bring warm jacket for windy weather and cameras 📷 for memorable shots.

From Tokyo (Ikebukuro Station) there are many transfers but it is easy to go to. Then from Ito Station, you can ride a bus or taxi to Izu Shaboten Zoo. The Entrance fee to the zoo is 2,700+ yen.
Edith — Google review
Because they are not ferocious beasts, most animals can run around and interact with people. For 200 yen, you can buy a small amount of food to feed. Reserve minimum 2 hours if you like enjoying all spots.
Mic Mic (little_micmic) — Google review
Really cool place to see Capybara take a nice bath. You are really close to the animals and even though there are many signs which say not to touch the animals, many visitors do so anyway. Some of the exhibits were quite small enclosures for the animals and it seemed like they would be happier with more space. The chimpanzees were outside in 10°C weather and were visibly cold. I would hope that they are able to keep the animals warm enough even during the winter season. I think it was a little too depressing to fully enjoy the trip to this zoo.
Izu Granpal Park is a large amusement park with attractions such as a 3D maze, zip lines and walk-on-water balls. It's great for families with kids and is close to Tokyo.
Playground areas are great for many ages. Our toddler grandson enjoyed this area and we didn’t pay extra for rides. The entrance fee is cheaper if you buy online unless you are 70 or older. I paid the reduced rate close to 1000 yen at the gate. My son and his wife paid online. There are many rides and you pay extra for each. There weren’t many for under 3 years old, we stayed in the playground area where there were picnic tables and restrooms nearby. My daughter-in-law took the toddler down the very big, long slide on her lap. It was not too fast and free. The dinosaur area was fun. There are steps to go over the go carts, so it is not stroller friendly.

Nice Illumination. But all park eating establishments are closed because it's not peak season.

Very good for younger kids. But the zip line is only for kids over 30kg. You have to pay for all rides plus entry fee. There are a couple of restaurants in inside for lunch too.

An authentic theme park in Izu, recommended to families with children aged between preschoolers to single digit ages. Access is a bit remote for non-drivers due to lack of returning bus transportation between Izu-Kogen station, so better access with your own car. The park itself is nice and fond of inexpensive or free attractions, but it may be pricey as a whole if you let your kids go wild. The 400m zip line is really cool.

Thanks for many prior reviews. Big help.
Parking is free for Illumination hours. Parking lot looks big too. You’re supposed to retrieve paper ticket at ticket counter by showing the e-mail sent to you when you buy ticket online. Rebate is available online.
Many fun attractions, separate charge - cycling, cart, balloon, flying chair and children's playground (FOC) and many others.
Restaurants choices and food stalls are available too.
Chairs, swings and benches are available here and there.
Lavatories are located near restaurants area and entrance.
The park is compact but the walk is very entertaining. Very much recommended. Even children will have lots of fun from day time.
Entrance and exit is through the same wicket.
Even visiting solo is fun.

We have been there on a Golden week this year with our kids and found it very attractive and amazing. The part has lots of both paid and free of charge attractions for everyone even for adults.
The food area also has enough shops where you can eat taste food and of course desserts.
Very recommended for families with kids and couples as well.

An absolute must do, even for an overnight stay as a short get away from Tokyo. Allow around 2 hours to explore everything and bring a battery pack for your phone - you'll take a lot of pictures. If you're relying on public transfer check the bus timetables before you go in so you can get back home! It's a magical place with lots to see.
Maria Baker — Google review
You pay to get in but you still have to pay for most of the rides. But there is also a long slide and huge trampolines that kids can enjoy for free. My kids were hopping on trampolines almost the whole time. They have different kinds of restaurants inside such as Korean, Japanese and American but I guess they are all open during the weekends and busy season. My kids wanted to go on the zip line but they weren’t tall or heavy enough for the ride. Getting in zip line and seeing the view is definitely something!
It’s also nice to go at night and see the illustrations.

Mount Omuro Climbing Chairlifts is a picturesque destination located on the flank of an inactive volcano, where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of Mount Fuji and the sea on clear weather days. The 530-metre-high peak provides breathtaking panoramic sights that can be reached via a safe and thrilling chairlift ride. A 20-minute trail at the summit offers an opportunity to explore further, while archery adds to the excitement.
It's only 530 metres high, but the views are magnificent. The ride up and down in the chairlift is totally safe and fun, but exciting too as it feels a little scary. Wrap up warm as it's exposed at the top.

Visited at 9 am on a weekday in early July. The moment I see Mt. Omuro while driving, my tension rises. We parked in the free parking lot No. 2 where the lift can be seen from the front. There were few tourists, probably because it was first thing in the morning. The lift fee is 1000 yen. The lift is close to the ground, so even those with a fear of heights are fine. You can take a picture just before the summit. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day, so the view was disappointing, but I challenged the bowl tour. Exactly the view of your name.
The road is paved, so it's easy to walk, but it's still scary.
I managed to go around without going back halfway. The 🚻 at the top is so beautiful. I ate the famous dumplings at the shop, but they bake them after you order them, so you can eat them hot. The return lift wasn't scary at all. It is a must-see that you can experience a 360° panoramic view in about 20 minutes. I would like to see the field burning that takes place every February someday.

What a view!
This is a beautiful place to get 360 degree views of the Izu peninsula.
The cost at 1,000 yen round trip per person for the chairlift is a little steep but given that it's the only way up or down, they get to charge what they want.
At the top, definitely grab yourself some Dango (mochi sweets) main the main store to the right if the lift exit. There is also a classic glass coke machine to try out!
It's recommended to wear sneakers as the 1km walk around the summit can be quite steep. I also would avoid taking children younger than 12 due to the lack of any safety fences at the top. It's quite steep and would be a serious fall.
Make sure to grab some souvenirs on the way out at the gift shop near the bottom of the lift on your way out!

What a wonderful experience! We had to queue about 20-30 minutes to buy our ticket and get on the chair lift. It’s quite a quick ride up. Once you made it up, there’s a little shop and you can walk around the crater in a loop which takes about 30 minutes. I’m scared of heights but it felt fine. They also offer archery on certain days /times inside the crater. It was probaly the highlight of our time in Izu! Obviously, this activity is good only on good weather days. I’d recommend going either as soon as they open to beat the crowds, or about one our before the lift closes to see the sunset. If you have an electric bike, just cycle up to the ropeway ticket counter to save yourself the parking fees and make sure you don’t get stuck as the bus is irregular!

About 10 minutes from this free parking lot, there is a suspension bridge beyond the top!
I parked at this parking lot, which has a clean toilet, crossed the road, and walked for about 5 minutes along a beautiful narrow path next to a private house.
It suddenly appears after walking for 5 minutes on a dirt road with bumpy rocks.
Along the way, there is a place called Oyodo-Koyodo, where you can descend to a rocky area near the sea surface. There are many columnar joints.
Is the suspension bridge about 70m long?
It was pretty scenic and fun.
The parking lot gets quite crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.
Only about 10 cars can be parked, so if you don't want to wait, get there early. It's probably open 24 hours.

The Izu Oceanic Park Diving Center, or I.O.P., is a fantastic diving location with excellent amenities. Although there are no restaurants on site, divers can bring their own food and enjoy the diverse array of fish and natural life in the waters, which reach depths of up to 27 meters. The center offers fully-rented equipment as well as hot showers, charged cylinders, and tables for assembling gear. English-speaking dive master guides are available to lead dives.
As a dedicated diver, I have dove the IOP site almost 500 times. The set up of the tanks and the ability to easily gear up with a short walk to the entrance makes the diving easy to enjoy. There is only shore diving and the site is sometimes closed when the swell comes in from the north east. There are 2 guide ropes which makes entering and exiting much easier (even with cameras) and usually the entrance is from the right side and exit from the left. There is a shop,, shaded (or unshaded) picnic benches and a microwave area to heat up any food. The only down side is the 1 minute walk back to the benches from the entrance which is slightly uphill and if weighed down by your equipment.
Once in the water, head to the buoy marker and descend in about 3-5m water. There is about a 2 minute swim to where the boulders slope down to the sandy area (directly in front). The sandy area is about 18m and then continues to gradually drop off. The sandy area is quite wide and you can often find the buried Angle Shark (see pictures) or Stargazers. On the right side, there is a large pinnacle beginning in about 5m and continues down to about 15m and then a nice wall down to 35m where there are often resting/hiding fish. There is also a large rock outcropping (its called "Point 1" by the dive shop).
Best season is August (25C) through November (21-22C) where the visibility and fish life is best. If a typhoon passes near the Tokyo area, it will usually take a week before the sand and waves settle down. Winter season (Dec-Feb) brings best visibility (25m+) but cold temperatures (19C-14C). Some of the key diving attractions during the winter season can include the dumpling fish ("dango wo) or the bat fish (akagutsu - lit - red boots) I believe May-July are the poorest seasons as although the water is still cold (17C-19C) the visibility is also poor (3m-5m). However, July - when water temperatures can begin to improve 20C+ by month end, this is the squid mating season where you can easily approach large squid (they are usually very skittish around divers) where they are mating and laying eggs on a group of cut trees/branches set up by the dive shop.

Komuroyama Park is a stunning attraction that features seasonal flowers such as azaleas and camellias. Visitors can access the lookout point either by foot or using a lift, which offers breathtaking views of both the mountains and the sea. The park also boasts an amusement area for kids, making it a great place for families to visit.
The main attraction of this park is the lift to the top of the hill which costs only 800 yen round trip. The view from the hill is indeed amazing. There’s a cafe at the top which serves popular yoghurt frape. If the weather allows, you might see the Fuji-san. One of the most beautiful and unique stretches of coastline in Japan! The Jogasaki Kaigan (coast) Picnical Course begins near Boranaya, a 400 year old fishing hut turned into a restaurant, and ends near the New York Lamp Museum and Flower Garden.

The Kadowaki Suspension Bridge is a humble pedestrian pathway that spans 48 meters between two cliffs. It was originally built in the 1980s and replaced in 1997 due to deterioration. The bridge connects a picnic area on one side with a lighthouse on the other, overlooking a narrow inlet along the Jogasaki Coast. Despite being part of the Izu Peninsula UNESCO Global Geopark, nearby rock formations catch more attention than the sturdy and stable suspension bridge itself.
Serene place! Have to walk more than 20 min to reach at suspension bridge from parking! Nice walkway! View of the Pacific is just eye soothing!
R.MA. — Google review
The first time I crossed the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge (門脇吊橋 / Kadowaki-tsuribashi) was back in the 1980s. At that time, the bridge would vibrate and swing quite a bit, especially if people tried jumping up and down on it. The bridge deteriorated and was completely replaced in 1997 and is extremely rigid now. The bridge straddles coastal cliffs with a small picnic area on the northern side of a deep, narrow inlet and a lighthouse on the southern side. The bridge is also part of the Izu Peninsula UNESCO Global Geopark. I shot a video of the visit to the Jogasaki Coast can be found on the Pix4Japan YouTube channel.

Breathtaking, stunning, wonderful. Honestly speaking, I have seen some cliffs, hanging over the sea, and they never failed to leave me awestruck. But this one, especially, at the end of the coastline forming a triangle, is awe-inspiring. The roaring sound of waves crashing on the rocks, the sheer height, yet the skills of the engineers who built the suspension bridge, all are something special. It would be great if the place were a bit less crowded, but you cannot have it all, and everyone has the right to enjoy the beauty.
AZM Farhan Daud — Google review
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Kadowaki suspension bridge, and I was genuinely impressed by its remarkable structural integrity. Walking across this bridge, you can't help but feel the sturdiness that's been built into it. It offers a sense of security that's essential for such a unique and thrilling experience.
The views from the Kadowaki suspension bridge are nothing short of breathtaking. The bridge spans over the ocean and provides a stunning vantage point to admire the waves crashing against the rocks below. It's a picture-perfect location for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.
However, I must admit that the height and the transparent flooring made it a bit scary to look down. If you have a fear of heights, be prepared for an adrenaline rush! The combination of excitement and awe-inspiring beauty makes the Kadowaki suspension bridge an unforgettable experience.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting this bridge for an adventure that will leave you with lasting memories. It's a testament to engineering and offers a unique perspective of the natural world.

火山から流れ出た溶岩の堰止湖らしいですが、周辺は木々に囲まれ、秋は紅葉でとてもキレイです。
私が訪れた時も風のない湖面に青空と紅葉が映り込んでとても素敵でした!(*^_^*)

(Translated by Google) I went on December 1st.
When I came here a few years ago, I saw a squirrel in the forest by the smaller lake, so I went there hoping to see it again.
However, I got there late and it was just before sunset, so I only got to enjoy the autumn leaves a little bit by the larger lake. I would like to go there again sometime.

The New York Lamp Museum & Flower Garden is a tranquil attraction that showcases stunning Tiffany lamps and boasts a seasonal flower garden. This venue is perfect for those looking to unwind after hiking the nearby Jogasaki Coast trail, especially on hot summer days. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, the park has made necessary adjustments to ensure visitors' safety. While admission may be expensive, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea from the café.
Love being able to see colorful cosmos in the autumn, next to the seaside. The cafe serves good pudding as well, and you can enjoy a chill time eating sweets and listening to piano backed by sea waves sounds 🩷

Very unique and very beautiful place. It's open Garden, you can go with your Family and friends. Ocean view from the top is clear and mind relaxing. For visitors camera stands are available so everyone can take perfect photos. Also there are different areas of the park with different look, I liked the sky of umbrellas, actually everything is perfect. Lamps are so antique and unique all the details are clear and specific it is work of dedication and perfection.
For pet they have so many cute options for photoshoot must explore that.
Restaurant inside have some decent options however I personally felt it was costly.
1km walk to Jogasaki coast was beautiful experience. We took the Jungle path so it was easy and suggested for elderly and parents.
Enjoy your time. I visited this place in Golden week. 30April2022.

Quite expensive for a very small garden and museum. The garden was nice but walked around the entire place in 15 min and the museum had beautiful lamps but minimal detail about each lamp.

A slow paced and relaxing place to visit after hiking the Jogasaki Coast trail, especially on a hot summer day. There is additionally a beautiful botanical garden and a cafe with a gorgeous view of the sea. The venue has made the various adjustments to accommodate visitors despite COVID19.

Pricy admission but they have a beautiful view at the cafe area.
Dog friendly.
They also validate your parking ticket if you park there.
Short 1km walk from Jogasaki coast lighthouse.

Entrance fee a bit pricey but worth to find the good spot to enjoy the sea. Not that too many people you can easily manage distance with others.

Ikeda 20 Seiki Museum is a charming art museum located in a tranquil setting, showcasing an impressive collection primarily focused on 20th-century artworks. Visitors can admire works by renowned artists such as French classics, Picasso, Dali, and Miro. It offers a unique experience as it's often less crowded compared to museums in Tokyo, making it an ideal destination for art enthusiasts seeking a peaceful and enriching cultural excursion.
Unbelievable density of the 20th century's finest artists: Dali, Picasso, Matisse, Lichtenstein, Warhol... and the building itself is super cool.

Good little art museum, collection hold mostly artworks from the 20th century, including French classic, Picasso, Dali, Miro...
We went there late on a Sunday afternoon and were the sole visitors. Definitely a change from museums at Tokyo!

Only needed about 45 minutes to go through the whole museum. A good place to go if you have spare time.

Small contemporary art museum in a very inaccessible location
It is one of my favorite hot springs ♨️ in Izu! Very affordable price as cheap as 1000 yen or 900 yen if you have a coupon! The free clay experience makes of it one of the most popular Onsens in Izu area!

Hummmm if you are with a big group of people, kids or younger crowd, it’s a fun place to go. Personally, I could smell the chlorine from the hot spring so I wouldn’t recommend if you wanna enjoy good quality hot spring in a calm place. I guess they put extra chlorine for Covid reasons…But my kids love this place since they have muddy mask thing and different types of bathtubs.

Nice local onsen with 5 or 6 outdoor baths. Lots of people reading books in the warm onsens designed for long sitting.
It’s a bit dated but for 1,000 yen it’s local, close and easy to get to and fits the Bill for a get out of the house and enjoy and onsen afternoon or evening.
No tattoos so please be aware. Gave 4 stars for general condition is a tad run down in the locker room and in some areas. That said will go happily go back many times again.

Mostly outside bathes, including mud bathes. Despite accessible right from a large road, the green surroundings make feel in a forest. Customers might be noisy and common amenities aren't available becaue of probably stealing them. You can read manga after you bath.

It's good hot spring for kids and mom. One day hot spring charge ¥1200, you can stay one or two hours here, so relaxing after going ocean park.

Orange Beach was a terrific sandy beach ⛱ I live the palm trees. 🌴🌴There weren't many people when I visited in early April even though it was a hot sunshiny🌞 day. Easy access from the Ito train station 🚉

Such a peaceful place with no crowds if you want to enjoy only the sea and waves without any distractions it’s very good and I love this place as I have stayed just in front of this beach just love to stay again 😍

Small beach, but if you like skipping rocks I highly recommend. There are two showers to wash yourself off + an outdoor restroom.

Its quite peaceful but lonely. Not much sand. No water sports. View of the sea and small mountains is good. It is just 5 min walk from Ito station.

I think this beach would be really nice in summer and for the sunsets. During winter it is a little untidy and doesn't look very inviting.
Karl Chong — Google review
Good beach that's walking distance from a number of hotels. A bit dirty in the shallows but a good place to escape/enjoy the summer heat.

Black sand, so very hot when it's sunny. Wide beach, but zero services around. The area seems not very interested to attract turists.

Nice beach, clean water, no waves. We brought our tent and slept near "Maria".
