Mayon Volcano the perfect cone!! A beautiful disaster. Even the volcanic activity has resulted in hundreds of people affected and almost billions of peso damages to property it has a great benefit to the country. It has a classic conical shape that I can say one of the PRIDE of the Filipinos ❤️ It's serve as a tourist spot in the Philippines not just because of the place but also because of the activities that Mayon offers. One of the activity is the ATV tour on where you can see the natural beauty of the Mayon. You can also do some side trip like visiting churches and beaches arount the area. It is a such and great experience!!

After getting up at 3am, and then an hour and a half's drive, we were able to observe the beauty and power of nature with lava flows from the Mayon volcano! Much easier to enjoy the moment than to capture it. Once the sun was up at 5.15am, it was hard to see the lava flowing.

Mount Mayon is an active volcano. Even though it was shrouded in clouds, it was an extremely impressive sight to view.
Called the world's most perfect volcanic cone because of the symmetry of its shape, it has a base of 130 km in circumference and rises to 2,462 meters from the shores of Albay Gulf.

It was a dream come for us to see this wonderful piece of Nature. We used to see it in the books and magazines but this time we are able to finally encounter the picturesque Mt. Mayon. The travel was with my Mother and Sister in Law and we did a lot of memorable activities, from more walking, ATV with the volcano side, cave exploring, etc definitely we enjoy so much the opportunity to witness wonderful spots of Legazpi. We will for sure visit again with the kids and many others soon because the place is worth visiting not just once, but several times. Amazing!

Mt. Mayon or Mayon Volcano is captivating! A must-visit!
This volcano is known to have the “perfect cone.” In fact it was regarded as one of the world’s most symmetric volcanic cones!
Mt. Mayon is located at Albay province, Bicol region, Island of Luzon, Philippines.
Went to the municipality of Cagsawa to see it for ourselves and did not disappoint. Mt. Mayon flaunted its beauty. I was captivated. So charming it took us til night to finally depart from the site. I was in awe!
We tried the Bicolanos famous cuisines, laing and bicol express as well as their spicy level 3 ice cream with Mt. Mayon view.
Right at the parking areas are stalls where you can buy pasalubong and souvenir items. Brought home some Pili for the Gods, Chicoli and Sugar Coated Pili.

I went here last year and the view is breathtaking. The Mayon Volcano is truly a wonder. The Mayon Volcano came from the word 'magayon', a Bicolano word that means beautiful which is more than appropriate to describe how stunning this natural scenery is from every angle. I will definitely come back here.

As a Bikolana, I strongly recommend for everyone to visit the Mayon Volcano when you get the chance. The locals are friendly , food are yummy and cheap accomodations as well. The great spots to view the Mayon Volcano would be the Cagsawa Ruins. A visit to Bicol won't be complete without a glimpse of this masterpiece of nature.

Mayon Volcano is one of the tourist spot in the Philippines.Towering at a height of 2,462 meters above sea level, it is known for its perfectly conical shape whose natural beauty has inspired a number of legends and art.
The Cagsawa Ruins is a popular tourist destination that showcases the tower of a 16th-century Franciscan church with stunning views of the Mayon Volcano. There is limited parking available inside, but pay parking can be found outside. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as ATV riding and purchase souvenirs and food from stalls inside and outside the gate. Although there are gazebos and tree cover, visitors are advised to bring umbrellas in case of rain or sun exposure.
A must stop for some photos. You can ask some local who offers photo shoots using your own phone. You just need to give a tip and you won't regret it.

A must visit place in Albay with its magnificent view of Mayon Volcano. It was really a jaw-dropping experience to witness the historical ruins of Cagsawa. Historical landmark in Albay for its perfect cone. This is the first place to go for me before you go to anywhere spots in Albay for you to get perfect spot and view. They have also parking and restaurant to offer foods coming from long trips. from the back of the ruins they have also garden where you can buy plants and flowers. You don't have to worry for the parking. you can park in pasalubong area, and park also in front of ruins (limited). And try their sili flavored ice cream.

Fascinating to know the history behind the ruins and the remaining bell tower of the church. The place is quite serene but no shades could be found. It is atill quite humid there so bring an umbrella. We also eat there and it is quite delicious for a reasonable price.

Gorgeous place! Sad to see how this church got destroyed due to a volcano eruption. It’s great that they managed to preserve some parts. They should think of a solution for all the lingering garbage around though. It’s taking away the charm of the place

It is best to visit the place during weekdays. There's a lot of people during holidays. It has a nice view of the Mt. Mayon, but there are days where you can't really see the Mt. Mayon, even if it's a sunny day.

Remnants of Cagsawa church lies on this area. Only the bell tower is still standing (approximately 30ft high?) but visitors are not allowed to go inside as it may collapse.
There is so much history and beauty here.
I was most captured by the huge, smooth and beautiful lava rock which lies in front of the church.

There's an admission charge of 20 PHP for the site. The foundations of the church are visible. Because of the heavy overnight downpour, the sections looked like ponds. The tower ruins is a stark reminder of the great eruptions in yesteryears. The site museum is a new building that explains the volcanic activities in the Bicol region. The museum is free. There is an enchanting butterfly garden beside the museum, also free of charge.

Despite the unpredictable weather dampening our hopes to witness the majestic beauty of Mount Mayon, my experience at Cagsawa Ruins was still memorable. The ATV ride provided an exhilarating adventure, adding an extra layer of excitement to the trip. While Magayon remained hidden behind the clouds, the warmth of Filipino hospitality and delicious local cuisine made up for it. The Laing and ubod with smoked gata were absolute delights, tantalizing the taste buds with their rich flavors. Despite the weather setback, Cagsawa Ruins still offers a remarkable blend of history, adventure, and gastronomic delights.

Albay Park & Wildlife is a charming urban park that is home to a diverse range of animals, including crocodiles, pigs, and eagles. Although parking can be hard to come by when it gets crowded, this attraction is an ideal location for families with children looking for a fun time. The park offers bike and boat rentals as well as a jungle gym for kids to enjoy. However, some of the animals may not be in good condition, and restrooms are difficult to locate.
Totally bang for the buck!
Entrance is at ₱50.00 per head and parking is ₱20.00. PWD and students come in for FREE! Animals were neat and clean and the cages were not smelly. Proud that Albay has maintained this very well. Nice also that they have playground for kids.

Not Quite A Zoo...
As others mentioned before, parking spaces are limited and have a fee of ₱25 at this time of writing. The admission fees are 12 years and below is ₱30, adults (13 yrs & above) is ₱50, and students and seniors have a 20% discount if IDs are presented. Once you enter the park, there are many amenities, such as horseback riding, pedal boating, etc. One thing I disapprove of is the detestable condition of the wildlife - especially the reptilian and avian section - since its cages aren't well-maintain filled with muck and stains. Other than that, it is a decent place to get a breather.

The park cages need updating and they need to put some activity on like feeding times. The lion and tiger cages seen new or they can be a new addition to the park and that was the best part of this park. Take your own food as the hygiene in the food court is terrible. The park is clean

This is a good shopping center. It gets crowded when there are events in Legazpi City like Magayon festival or Ibalong festival or when there are visitors like actors and actresses. This is at the city center, walking distance from UST-Legazpi Peñaranda campus or Tanchauling College, or from St. Jude Parish and St. Raphael parish. There are good choices of restaurants from the 1st to 3rd floor.
The movie house is really good compared to SM City Legazpi's. The LCC department store and supermarket are attached to it, so it is very convenient to do the shopping here.
At the 4th floor or rooftop, you can enjoy the majestic view of Mayon Volcano (when the whether permits 😅).

The Franciscan missionaries established established themselves in this area around 1587. The original wooden structure of the church stood here around 1635 only did it become concrete in 1834. The previous structures were destroyed by fire and war. Today i stands as the seat of the arch diocese and the cathedral of Legazpi. Located in the old district near the plaza and government offices. Beside this area is a fast food chain, milling around this area is save and a good jump off point if your on your way to Cagsawa. #RP

This is a small parish of the Chinese-Filipino community in Legazpi City.
Since it is small, intimate (when the Holy Mass is celebrated), clean, organized, and airconditioned, we used to come to this for Sunday services. The present pastor Fr. Pau is very accommodating and he is instrumental to make the Masses live on Facebook. Hence, even here in Japan, I could still hear Masses.
This is close to my heart since I used to do my intense prayers when I was preparing for LET.
St. Jude is really a patron of the impossible.
I even prayed through him to Jesus the approval of my work here in Japan.
Thank you St. Jude Parish (I am from Camarines Norte but I felt at home in your parish). Dios mabalos po sa St. Jude parish!
