Awaji Hanasajiki is a famous park known for its colorful flower fields, including cherry blossoms and cosmos. There are no trains available on the island, so visitors must rely on buses or taxis for transportation. If taking the bus, it's important to know that the stop at Higashiura IC requires a 1.9km uphill walk through jungle terrain which may not be suitable during summers. Taxi is highly recommended if touring during this season.
The cosmos was in full bloom. The park opens at 9:00 a.m., but on weekends it is full of cars by 9:00! Admission is free, but parking costs 200 yen.
The cosmos seems to be in full bloom in early November.

Worth visiting if you're in the area. It's free! Many many fields of flowering plans with views out across the sea.

Breathtaking view with fields of flowers on top of a mountain. Words can’t really describe it so I’ll let the pictures and videos do the talking. But do bring a jacket as it’s really windy and can get quite cold (went in early Nov). Entry is free, lots of parking available, and there’s also a souvenir shop.

Gorgeous! One of the best places that l have visited in Japan. #Park has an amazing view like a dramatic painting from Monet. l strongly recommend that you give a visit. The entrance was complimentary. There is a free parking space. Also, shuttle service is running from the port to #Awaji Hanasajiki for 500 Yen/one way.

There is no train in awaji island so you need to use bus or taxi for public transportation. If you take bus and stop in Higashiura IC, you need to take a 1,9km walk through uphill jungle. Going there in summer with bus is not a good choice. Taxi is better. There were not much variants of flower either when summer. But it offers a beautiful view of sea, the city, and akashi bridge.

The location on the mountain provides an incredibly beautiful view. You can see Osaka bay, as well as have a panoramic view of Kobe, Osaka, and Kansai airport. However, one drawback is thar accessing the place via public transportation can be challenging. The management office provides a telephone number for calling a taxi.

Hanasajiki was absolutely beautiful in the summer, the Awaji island bus drops you directly in front of it and admission is free. There's also a store near it with some very yummy loquat soft serve. Be sure to check with the bus driver when the last bus back from Hanasajiki is (usually around 17:02, that's what it was when I was there) Overall a very beautiful place to visit. In summer, I also saw many butterflies!

How good your experience is really depends on the season, as each week they have different types of flowers blossoming.
When we were there, there were a few flower beds with flowers, but the rest of the place was quite empty, they were still planting

The Awaji Yumebutai resort hotel is a remarkable facility, showcasing an array of colorful flowers that paint the grounds like a beautiful rainbow. The architecture is stunning, thanks to the brilliant work of Tadao Ando. The smooth concrete structures are an excellent example of how human-made designs can be aesthetically pleasing, making this place truly remarkable. Don't forget to bring your camera and capture some of this beauty for yourself.
Always this place is an amazing fantastic facility. So many types of flowers grow here it is a walking rainbow. Bring your camera to capture some of the beauty.

I knew it was a work by Tadao Ando, but the scale of it was overwhelming.
However, there is no trace of what it looked like when it was first completed, and the flowers that have been planted are withered and there are many weeds growing.I know that it will be difficult to take care of the place on such a scale, but when you look at it up close, you can't say it's very pretty. did.
On the other hand, there were people who were watering and caring for the trees from early in the morning, and I could see and feel their hard work.

The Awaji Farm Park England Hill is a delightful mini-zoo that boasts an array of charming animals such as koalas, wallabies, and wombats. It offers an ideal place to spend quality time with your family while enjoying the relaxing ambiance. The park also features exciting activities like go-karts and swan boats in a serene pond that make it perfect for couples looking to unwind together. The park caters to young visitors with its kid-friendly rides; however, these cost extra yen.
A lovely place for a whole day visit with kids 💕 It's vast and mostly open - too hot for summer and ideal from Autumn to Spring. Under roof: workshops, Koala, rabbits and guinea pigs, green house with 🦎🐢🌴, shuttle train, food. Good for walking, running, playing outside 🏃♀️. Perfect place for special occasions. A bit of everything everywhere: animals 🐎 🐑 🐹 🐇 🐨 🦘 🐢 🦎 and flowers here and there, beautiful views and scenery, workshops: making bread, candles, woolen toys; harvesting 🍓🍅🍆🥔, Swan boats 🦢 (roof protects from sun/ rain), go-karts 🚘 for 2 people (140cm and above can drive themselves, below 140 are passengers only), other amusement activities for little ones and adults; food, drink vending machins, toilets everywhere. Connecting cute shuttle train. The prices are reasonable as it goes to taking care of animals and a vast territory, you can just pick up and pay for what you are interested the most 👍.

For those seeking a stunning view of the Onaruto Bridge, the うずしおレストラン is a great place to visit. This restaurant offers their famous Fugu meal course, made from farm-grown Fugu matured for three years in Naruto. With three different set courses available, visitors can choose their preferred option. The friendly staff provide guidance on how to eat and pair the dish with provided sauces.
Another beautiful spot on Awaji Island. People tend to stay on the tollway to get on the bridge, but why not take a break here, enjoy the views and the good dishes?

Has a nice walk down to the sea under the Naruto bridge. Also is home to the famous Awaji burger shop which has won several, national awards. Was incredibly busy when we visited during Golden Week so the line for the burgers was long which kind of soured me against them. They were good but not great. The shop offers a lot of souvenir choice for local produce but is all quite expensive (as all michinoeki are). Nice place to stop off for a quick look around if you're in the area and a good place to leave your car and go for a bike ride.
The Uzu no Oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum is a hilltop complex that boasts stunning views of the Naruto Strait and a large onion sculpture. The establishment features a restaurant and gift shop, with the latter dedicated to onions. One of its biggest draws is taking a selfie with the giant onion, which visitors can do while wearing fake wigs for added humor. Aside from this amusing activity, guests can also try their tasty onion soup.
A hilltop where can oversee the bridge from a distance. Free parking. The souvenir shop sells lots of “awaji onion” related products. Onions planted in this area are more sweet and less spicy. The hamburger booth next to the parking lot is famous in Japan, so I had to wait in a line for 20 mins to enjoy this gourmet. Overall it’s worth to spend few hours at here if you never came before.

I promise you this is one the best and hilarious photo of your life! each time my family look at this photo we laughed. This Japanese humor at its finest. I usually had to climb stairs to get to the shrine, which was great exercise.
Although the island is small, the brochures are well-prepared, and I wondered if they were putting a lot of effort into tourism...
In the last photo, more than half of the 2-hour recommended course (roads marked A to E) were poorly maintained and there was no sign of people, so it was really scary (2nd and 3rd from the end) photo) If you were not careful because there were so many spider webs, they would cover your face and body. It's full of weeds and there are some ups and downs where you can't see the ground. There is a boar trap (it was empty when I saw it, but someone who saw the boar trap said he got scared and turned back).
I think it's quite natural.
It's a good place for people who are used to it, but it's definitely not a place you can go to if you're dressed up and looking like a normal tourist.
It may have been a seasonal coincidence, but I wish they could improve it a little or write something like that in the pamphlet. I look forward to improvement.

One thing that is noteworthy is that even though it is such a small island, there is a ``Numashima Village Road Signpost''.
It's also fun to imagine where the nearest road marker would have been from this original marker as the starting point.
Also, it was impressive to see a couple of ospreys building a nest on the top of Kamikandate Rock, which is one of the status quo of this island. Some have no trace of nests.

However, there was a musty smell the whole time I was on the escalator. And in the summer, the sun can be harsh and it can be quite hot. That's all I was concerned about.

The Izanagi Shrine, a renowned place of worship in Japan, pays homage to the Shinto spirits of Izanagi and Izanami. It is believed to be one of the oldest shrines in Japan and has been around for almost 1500 years. The shrine boasts an ancient Japanese cedar tree that is over 900 years old, but unfortunately only two trees remain from what used to be a forest.
A must see! Large, beautiful temple grounds.

Dating back to the beginning, an original basic destination.
The partially restored remnants of a stone fortress complex, thought to have originated in the 16th century, sits atop a rocky crag. Although relatively small in size now, the ruins suggest that it was once an expansive castle that overlooked the surrounding area. The sturdy old stone foundations and lovely trees add to the charm of this historical site. Climbing up may prove challenging but is worth it for breathtaking views and sunsets against the castle backdrop which make for picture-perfect memories.

The ruins of a castle on the summit of Mt. Mikuma in Sumoto City. The stone wall is a designated historic site, but the castle tower is a mock tower made of concrete. It is the oldest of the mock castle towers, and was built in 1925 as an observation deck to commemorate the enthronement of Emperor Showa. (Refers to something that was built in a place) There were several places within the castle where the stone walls had collapsed and were covered with blue tarpaulins.
From here, you can see a panoramic view of Sumoto City, and the view is spectacular. Onokorojima Shrine is a splendid shrine located on a small hilltop surrounded by rice paddies and trees, renowned for its enormous torii gate. The bright red Odorii stands out from afar among the three major torii gates in Japan. An unmanned vegetable sales office can be found at the front parking lot near Otorii, offering low-priced Awaji onions during their season.

That's not a nice beach for foreigners for sure. But two stars because I guess it might be a bit nicer in summer. When I went, it was dirty, the sand was dark, an old guy was training at golf and there was balls all over the place while others were flying dangerously. Then there was this awful dilapidated building in the middle of the beach. They could make it nicer, unfortunately Japan doesn't care about its seaside much.
Visitors who have an affinity for dolphins should definitely pay a visit to the Janohire Dolphin Farm. The staff are hospitable and obliging, making one's stay all the more enjoyable. The dolphin encounter is a highlight of the experience, with Sakura and Kaede as delightful aquatic companions.
Highly recommended for people who like dolphins! People are very nice and helpful! We enjoyed a great time swimming with Sakura and Kaede!

I wanted to do it because it is closer to the dolphins than the aquarium.

(Translated by Google) This is a photo taken from the road near the entrance to Dolphin Farm and Auto Campground. The road is a dead end at the auto campsite. You can't go to the other side without returning. The auto campsite was quite busy and full of cars and tents. It seems that the facilities are well equipped. You can see the sailing ship of "Whirlpools Cruise" in the distance, and you can play on the rocky shore, which seems to be very good for families.
This time, I didn't use it directly, I just came to preview the place, so I will leave the evaluation as normal.

(Translated by Google) You can interact with dolphins up close. The fee is 500 yen for just the tour, and 5,000 yen per person for the contact course (reservation required). You can have a contact experience as if you have received a lecture in advance. The staff is very friendly and even small children can enjoy it. The contact experience lasts about 10 minutes, so I thought that if the price was made a little more reasonable, more customers would apply for the contact experience. However, the children who actually participated were satisfied that they had a very good experience.

The time for the experience goes by quickly and I think it's a little expensive, but if you're worried about that, I highly recommend you give it a try. It's so cute that I think it will be soothing to both adults and children. The staff are very kind and I think you will enjoy learning from the lectures (trivia about dolphins) beforehand.

(Translated by Google) You can see dolphins up close for 500 yen per person. He was very friendly, and stayed by his side for a long time, curious about his master's movements as he beckoned. I thought it was so cute that I watched it for about 30 minutes, then it started feeding and training, and I was able to watch it jump, say goodbye, and kick the ball right next to it. The trainer was also very easy to talk to and told me many stories about dolphins. Training seems to be held four times a day, and our time started around 11:30. If I go to Minami-Awaji again, I will definitely go there.

(Translated by Google) I came here because I wanted to interact with dolphins at the dolphin farm. Looking at the menu, the tour costs 500 yen, the 30-minute interaction course costs 5,000 yen, and the swim course costs 7,000 yen.
After the typhoon, there was a lot of garbage floating on the sea surface, so I participated in the interaction course.
Before interacting with the dolphins, we listened to a 10-minute explanation about the characteristics of the dolphins and precautions to take when participating, and then moved to the dolphin's location.
Due to the movement of the dolphins, the upper body may get a little splashed with water, so if you are concerned about this, it is better to wear a jacket that you don't mind getting dirty (Rental of rubber pants with boots that go up to the waist is included in the price)
It was my first time to see and touch it up close, so I was impressed by how close it felt!
Smartphone photography was also OK. Next time I would like to try the swim course.

Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park offers several recreational areas, such as a water park and spots with scenic sea views. Visitors can enjoy various activities like Naruto Land, Godzilla, Crayon Shinchan, and Dragon Quest. However, the vastness of the park requires considerable walking or payment of 500 yen for a buggy car for the whole day. The maze stamp collection game and stencil matching course offer ample entertainment for both adults and children alike.
So much fun! The Japanese name in English translates to Anime forest, quite appropriate, the location is beautiful and literally set into a hillside forest. We took part in 3 of the 6 available activities and had an absolutely fantastic day. Not the easiest place to get to but the website provides a travel itenary in English traveling from Kobe and Osaka so that was very helpful.

Love the place, a lot of activity like: naruto land, godzilla, crayon shinchan, and dragon quest.
The down side you need to walk a lot i mean alot because the place is huge or you can pay 500 yen(for the whole day)for buggy car that will take you to the place you want to go.

This place is a great way to spend the day with family and friends. Suitable for youth and up there are some physically demanding tasks to play. Give yourself between 3 to 5 hours to experience the whole park.

Don’t k ow why people have high rating to this place! The parking is free and entry to the area is free but each theme park area are very expensive! Very expensive in fact.

Enjoyed the island and park a lot, however, 3300 yen to enter a poorly put together Naruto Park isn't worth it, I'd recommend any of the other parks over the naruto one which is mostly 2d cutouts of characters on rocks. But Godzilla was a lot of fun and for pretty cheap.
Josh Sanders — Google review
Theme park filled with multiple attractions. Only went to the Godzilla attraction and it is quite impressive in terms of size and looks. The largest downside to the entire park is that for each attraction you pay separately and what you get for what you pay isn’t that much. 3,800¥ for a zip-line through Godzillas mouth and a small museum visit isn’t worth it. To visit all attractions in the park it costs about ¥14,000…. At this point you are better off visiting Universal Studios in Osaka for ¥6,000 less. Would only recommend this park for true fanatics of the specific attractions (eg. Naruto, Godzilla).

Nijigen no Mori (lit. 2D Forest) is quite a huge park with popular characters like Naruto, Shinchan, Demon Slayer, Godzilla. It's like a pilgrimage for fans of these popular Anime.
The basic ticket to enter the Naruto area is 3300 Yen. The tickets for Shinchan area varies by activities; I selected Nonbiri Nohara set for 1800 Yen. The Demon Slayer area is free to see, tickets are only needed for participating. The Godzilla is huge enough to be seen without entering the game area. Participating in the games can take more time than expected.
Access to the park can be an issue for first time visitors due to lack of clear information. There are no train lines going to Awaji Island; the nearest station is Maiko station in the mainland. After exiting the ticket gates, one needs to turn right and go up to the expressway bridge to find the bus that goes to Awaji Island. Beware that the buses at ground level do not go there. Taxi fare is above 10,000 Yen from Maiko so not recommended. There are expressway buses from Kobe as well as per Google Maps. However, the timings of these expressway buses are not regular and one needs to wait an hour for the next bus.
Note that there are no taxi or regular bus services in the island like the cities, so be prepared accordingly. It is advised to arrive early if one's coming from Osaka or Kyoto. If you're staying in Tokyo, seeing this place and returning in a day is nearby impossible. Best option would be to stay in Kōbe and visit here dedicating one day.

Even though I only went to try out one attraction, I would still give it a 5/5.
I went solely for the Naruto x Boruto attraction and man it did not disappoint! The lifesized statues made me feel like I was a ninja of somesort too, and the quests made the experience more fun. I wish there were english captions on the scrolls and the activity sheets because I, or not everyone can read Japanese. I also commend the staff for being extremely helpful and friendly! A staff assisted me with one quest sheet because I told her I could not read the text.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

A kid friendly #theme park for anime lovers. It is a huge park with lots of activities. Some of the parks are quite expensive. However, even if you do not join these activities it is still a nice place to visit and enjoy nature since it is a huge green park with a nice playground. It has a small pond for kids to play and enjoy hot summer days. For parents, l recommend you to bring a small tent or chairs with parasol. Although vending machines are available, l suggest for you to bring your own drinks. There was not an entrance fee, and there was plenty of parking space. Also, you can access there by complimentary shuttle service.

Kid friendly. Also good for adults who are still kids at heart.
Swung by for the demon slayer attraction. Didn't purchase tickets as they were abit pricey, and also insufficient time to do a 2 hour adventure hunt.

It's really a good experience. I thought I won't enjoy it that much since I went alone, but it turns out you can still have fun even by yourself. The missions are somewhat tricky, but even not a hardcore fan of Naruto can enjoy this. I hope they change the missions periodically so that people will be urged to come back again.

Is a must go place if you are a huge naruto fan! This is the bigger theme park compared to the one in tokyo. A full outdoor active experience, great for old to young people.
It's english friendly and most workers can communicate in english which is really nice.
Tickets are reasonably priced and there are quite a few interesting spots to take pictures. The tickets have different prices based on packages (varies of "missions" you can do and prizes to win).
I will suggest purchasing tickets online so you can get a freebie merch.
Another interesting feature is that you can download an app called nijigen where it allows u to scan AR codes in the park to have some surprising activities to participate in.
Overall, its worth the money and time to visit!
