Ton Chong Fa waterfall is located in a National Park and can be reached by a steep hike from the car park. The falls are quite high with good swimming possible at the lower pool, but care must be taken for hidden rocks.
Been here already before (once some years ago in November when water levels were higher) and returned again, because it's a great place to visit nearby Khao Lak.
Just be aware:
- by wearing flip flops you put your health on risk, because some paths are extremely steep and might be slippery (depending on water levels and rainfall
- walking uphill can be exhausting, but when it's humid, even more
- currently all shops at the gate are closed, therefore bring your own water
- there is a toilet... but... 😬
Pros:
If you want to go on a tour on your own, enjoy nature, a bit of jungle and sit and swim under a waterfall... go there
Cons:
Paths were not well maintained (we can discuss now if it's good or a bad thing), if you want to get to the higher levels of the falls you have to be fit, wear proper shoes and find your way up.
General: you can get there easily by (motor) bike or car. Fee for foreigners is THB200, for Thai people THB 20 (includes then free entry to another park the same day)
Duration: 2-4 hours (with taking swimming & photo breaks) - we went up to level 4 (4 hours in total)

Beautiful nature and beautiful little waterfalls.
It's definitely worth going to escape the Crowds and having a relaxing and chilled time in nature:)
Especially if you go in the morning to the other National park nearby you will buy a entry ticket for 100 THB which you can use on the same day for the waterfalls. So you pay just once entry but can enter 2 parks :)

The waterfall is hidden in the jungle after an very easy walk (flip flop level) cleared by the forest guards, and the locals going there for a fun swim. We were only the two of us when we went there and it was very nice and quiet. Us and the jungle sounds. You can swim in the water, I do recommend. It feels nice. The entrance fee for a foreigner is 200 THB . It is worth it, knowing you can access all national parks gems during the same day ; better to be motorized, as the different places can be far away from each other. I do recommend to go in the morning, after a nice swim ; the little white sand beach for example.

A beautiful natural treat to enjoy and photograph. Free access after buying a ticket to the national park earlier in the day.

Watch that you bring money because there is an entre of 100 bath a person. If there is much rain there is too much water to get to the top. The path is small and can be slippery but definitely a beautiful waterfall. Watch out for the fish that nibble on you.

Amazing waterfalls! It has 4 stages. To get to the 1st and the 2nd it is kind of easy. To the 3rd and the 4th you gotta climb. Take your tracking shoes with you. We really liked the 2nd since one can go directly under the waterfal and there are lots of little fish who loves to clean people and thus nibble on their feet and bodies when submerged. Do not panic and enjoy.

Natural forest waterfalls
Trek up the mountain and see the amazing forest vegetation and spectacular waterfalls. No concrete paths here, the tree roots provide steps and the vines a hand up the mountain. Unspoilt and not commercialized.
Well worth a visit!

Definitely worth to visit. The entry fee is 100 baht and there were no piece of trash on the paths. 4 levels of waterfall, refreshing water and free fish spa is a bonus.

Beautiful waterfall and on different levels, a bit of a work out to climb all the way up but so worth it! Also really nice to stop and take a swim on the way down ☺️

We don’t need to book in advance, just park there and buy a ticket for 100thb
Scenery is perfect and cool, not very hot
But watch out we met a snake at the 4th waterfall
I highly recommend you guys to wear sports shoes and pants,a swimsuit inside because you can swim with the little fishes, they are really cute

Nice walk in the rain forest for about 1 kilometres to reach the first middle sized water fall.
The entrance fee of 100 bath is more than acceptable.

I really loved Ton Chong Fa, there are multiple waterfalls… you have to do a bit of jungle tracking to reach them, you’d have to be reasonably fit, but not super difficult
There are spa fish at the first cascade
100baht entrance, parking
Highly recommend taking some time out here to be In the nature! 3 hrs is good 👍 can do in 1.5 if your rushing

Highlight of our trip to khao lak. Its about 200 bath per person and you get to see the hidden beach as well. Its a 15 min trek to the top of the waterfalls which come at different levels. It is beautiful and it wasnt very crowded.
Gam Shot — Google review
Great excursion will keep you occupied in nature for ~90mins. Entry fee was 100Bht for adults, 50Bht for kids and well worth it. We went early(ish) and there weren’t many people there, although it got busier as we were coming down. The first ‘Ton Maliton’ was an easy walk and is the best to swim in. Fish nibbling at your feet feels odd, but they don’t do any harm. The walk to ‘falls further up was more challenging, but 9yo managed fine! Sneakers are fine, I think you could struggle beyond the first fall in thongs. There are a couple of bathrooms, but we didn’t use them, so can’t comment on cleanliness. Didn’t observe any food/drink for sale. Yes, if you’re not local, you will be 5x the entry price, but let’s face it, locals are hardly oozing wealth and if you’re here on hols, you can afford it!

Due to its close proximity to Khao Lak, it is the most popular waterfall in the national park and is included on several day tours from Khao Lak.
The waterfall cascades down over 5 spectacular levels, the main fall is a 10m high drop. It is possible to swim in some pools, the power and amount of water will depend on the season.
From the parking area it is a 1km walk along a narrow dirt track to the first level of the waterfall. Halfway along this path you will find a fish spa, where you can enjoy the fish nibbling the dead skin cells from your feet in the middle of nature.
Level 1 is achievable for most children and is very beautiful. Beyond the first level, you will need to climb and clamber between 35 and 100m between each level. From the first level it is an extra 1.3m to the highest level.
Most of the levels of the waterfall are moderate and it is worth checking out the higher levels. You can pause at each level to enjoy the scenery, take photographs and swim, the water will be deeper in monsoon season. The second level is the best place to swim during the whole year.
As the waterfall lies within the National Park there are railings or ropes to help you and the area is not ruined with litter. To the highest fifth level is a challenging jungle path but you will be rewarded with the highest drop waterfall. The entire hike from the parking area to the highest tier and back is 4.9km and it took us 1.43 hours, pausing for photographs along the way.
Entrance fee THB100 and this also include the Hat Lek Nature Trail and Samll Sandy Beach on the same day.

Royal Thai Navy Third Fleet Sea Turtle Nursery - Phang Nga
The Royal Thai Navy Third Fleet Sea Turtle Nursery - Phang Nga is a wildlife sanctuary established by Queen Sirikit dedicated to protecting turtles. It is located on a navy base and visitors can easily find it with the help of English-speaking tour guides. The organization rescues injured or trapped turtles and collects baby turtles to keep them safe for six months before releasing them into the wild. This effort aims to prevent up to 90% of young turtle deaths caused by birds or fishing nets.
This was a really good visit, to see the protected turtles.
Admission is 60 THB.
The project consists of a series of holding tanks where turtles range from newly hatched to much larger turtles, some of which had been rescued after being caught in discarded fishing gear or had tried to eat plastic carrier bags, mistaking them for jelly fish. Some were injured and received "care" from one of the volunteers. Although it seemed sad that the turtles are only in tanks and nothing to do, this is still an important work.
Kati Tuomikivi — Google review
Great place to support the Thai Navy’s work with turtles.
Go early and it’s quiet.
Maybe stating the obvious. But there isn’t much to see except turtles at various stages of development.
Go an support their efforts

Hard to find, as google maps might show you weird routes which you can’t take through the military zone. Don’t be put off by the army guys at the entrance of the zone, it’s probably the right place! Leave your passport at the entrance and drive through. The turtles are adorable - however not much information is available in English. I was lucky to have a group of english speaking volunteers working there on the day I visited so got some good information. Still worth the visit as the turtles are ❤️❤️❤️

Good effort shown for conservation effort for the turtle. The overall layout is a little confusing and there are easily a few hundreds turtles inside. All seems clean except some of the pool had filthy water.
Too bad no chance to see the eggs or see them hatch or letting the turtles go. Saw some large ones still in captivity and wondering are they truly into conservation

We visited one afternoon for about an hour. There are several tanks/pools with young turtles (100s). It's very neat to see. There were not very many adult turtles. Just 1 tank with under a dozen. Most were 1-3 months old. It wasn't obvious where one pays. We wandered around before discovering it. It didn't look like they offer tours. There were only a couple other families there.
Cristina Hladish — Google review
We had an amazing few hours here today. As has been said before, the turtles are either rescued due to plastic ingestion or entanglement or the eggs are collected after hatching until tge turtles are the right age for them to realistically survive. We were really fortunate in that we got to the sanctuary early and the man who takes care of the turtles was there and spent a lot of time explaining to us what the purpose of the sanctuary is. He has such passion for what he does and clearly loves his job. It was a real shame as he was letting several back into the ocean later this week but we are going home before then as it would have been amazing to witness.
There's a nice coffee shop and gift shop afterwards and the beach was calm and clean too. There is a tsunami memorial there and plenty to do and watch for a good few hours. We will certainly return one day and recommend a visit.

sea turtle rescue center. workers monitor the moment of laying eggs, collect them, nurse them and then raise the turtles until they can cope with the dangers on their own. then the turtles are released into the sea so that they can continue to live and breed freely. also here contain turtles affected by human impact. the park is small, there are pools with turtles of different ages. beautiful beach with white sand and casuarina. interesting not only for children, but also for adults.

Recommend Booking a tour, tsunami museum, turtle conservation, 4 wheel drive and jungle trek to a waterfall, then lunch and the bamboo river rafting and a visit to a beach. It makes for a great day.

An awesome place to visit if you are interested in wildlife. This turtle sanctuary was set up by Queen Sirikit some years ago. This is on the Royal Thai navy base but we found it easily. A navy guy gave us a tour and his English was good. Normally up to 90% of young turtles die or are killed mainly by birds. So this group collect the turtles as they hatch when they are about 3cm long and keep them for about 6 months when that are released. They also rescue turtles which have been injured or trapped in fishing nets.
Kevin Gove — Google review
This center helps for sea turtles, they raised them from born till the age when they become more independent. There are several swimming pools each swimming pool has it is own group of turtle which are divided by age. U can see from 1 month till several years. Center located close to the Andaman sea, cause when turtles become independent people release them to the nature. Recommended to visit this center if like animals.
The Moo Moo Cabaret Show & Bar offers an enjoyable evening of entertainment with a variety of singers and dancers. The admission fee, which includes a drink, is reasonable for the length of the performance. The venue has air conditioning and provides a great atmosphere for guests to relax in. While drinks may be slightly expensive, it is worth paying for the two hours of entertainment provided. Additionally, patrons have the opportunity to dance with performers during special occasions such as birthdays.
Cheap and tacky but that what makes the show good
A good old belly laugh

A very enjoyable night. The queens all work so hard and the show was a lot of fun. However, the venue is filthy, and the lighting is awful (argggh, rope lights!). Still go, it's a great night out, but please MooMoo, sort out your lights. These amazing performers deserve a better space to work in.

An absolutely stunning show given the cost of entry which includes a free drink. The overall experience was so good from the moment you enter through the bar, into the auditorium and throughout the show. The costume design work is superb. The whole cast captures your imagination and you just have to sit back and enjoy yourself. A show not to be missed!

6 Stars!!! Show is now daily at 8:30/45pm. Make reservation, its extremely popular and full always. One of the best dragshows & cabarets i have ever seen (i have seen many around the globe-) Maybe even better than the worldfamous Tropicana Show in Havanna Cuba. Music awesome, big party time, crazy highend costumes and great atmosphere. Show is top nodge. From outside you would not believe that there is such a hidden gem inside. One advice: Take very light clothing (no AC, only fans),it can get quiet hot (Temperature)..give appropriate tipps to artists since there is no entrance fee please what they deserve, just drinks a lil higher (120-250Baht) Thank you sooo much for your hospitality and this lovely evening. The International Tsunami Museum is a place where people can learn about past tsunamis, the timeline of the disaster, and post-tsunami history. There are also exhibits and photos related to the 2004 tsunami in Thailand. The museum is open to the public and it is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about this devastating event.
Interesting yet sad display commemorating the 2004 Tsunami that devastated Khao Lak.
Worth a visit while you're visiting this area.
300฿ entrance fee for foreigners. Free for locals. The fee goes towards maintaining this non-profit museum.

Lots of photos but feels a bit worn down. The picture on the TV on the upper floor is almost not visible and the audio is too low to hear anything. Not worth the 300 baht entrance fee. Go to the local guy behind near the boat instead, you can look at some photos for free and but a drink or a souvenir from the local shop
Magnus W — Google review
A simple place, the police boat being the main exhibit. There is a “museum” but we weren’t sure if it was an official one, looks more like a shop front. There is a small shack that hands out books of photos from the tsunami to look at and sells little souvenirs. This could be so much better, maybe could have names of lost souls on plaques around the grounds.
Manx Crusader — Google review
I went there because it is near my hostel. However, there aren't nothing much there.
But if you go there, you can read and see the 813 boat and some information.

Yo, so I totally got to check out the 813 ship that got hit by that crazy tsunami in Phang Nga, Khao Lak zone this morning. Bummer that the museum was closed, but guess what? I still snagged a pic with the 813 warship, the one that's all responsible for looking after Khun Phum Jensen's stuff. 📸🚢 #Adventures #813Ship #KhaoLakVibes

Weird place, there was only one building with a few paintings and the police boat, not much more information other than a shack outside the gate owned by others that had lots of photos, I expected to be moved and informed but came away disappointed.
Edit : we did see that building but nobody was around, obviously just a lack of direction or signs as others were doing the same as us, glad there’s a proper exhibition and the money goes to good causes

Great place to visit. Even if it is very simple, visit this place to honor all People died over here is à must to do. To see this boat at 2km from the beach show the strength of the tsunami. In the movie, we see the boat jist before the wave.
Fabrice1973 — Google review
The actual please with the museum seems closed. There is a visitors center from a non-profit Organisation outside of the actual place, with photos and films about the tragedy. 300TBH entry per person, which is ok. Take some time to watch the documentaries at the first floor (there is a room for English and another for German). Then go out and check out the boat, which has been thrown inside the land 2km during the first two tsunami waves. Around the corner, there is a private shack, they have some additional photos in a photo-book. Those pictures might not be suitable for all audiences, some are hard to swallow. They don’t charge, but expect that you buy some souvenir or donate.
Richard Bretzger — Google review
A little depressing, but worth a visit. Understand how high the wave was and what it caused. The name of the monument comes from the number of the patrol ship that washed ashore 2 km from the sea.
Kati Tuomikivi — Google review
Could have done so much more with this, a Monument with the names of those affected as somewhere to go and remember them. Instead it's 4 rooms with photos and video of the survivors played on a loop. The boat outside is fairly interesting but again not enough information about it and nothing else there. It is fairly interesting but you cannot hear the TVs a and the building is basically a converted convenience store. I would give this a miss and donate directly to one of the Tsunami charities and foundations.

My heart goes out to the victims of this tragic event. Love that the entrance fee is given as charity for local kids. Took my kids around and shared some learnings with them too. Nice boat, can be seen from outside the museum.

A sobering reminder of the strength of nature. It's FREE and will give an eye-opening insight into the tragedy that happened here.
We spent about 45 minutes to 1 hour here, and that was sufficient. There are a few close by cafés, shops, and taxi services.
Simon — Google review
Unfortunately the place has been let go quite a bit. Hope it's just because of Covid, but empty buildings & overgrown in places. A real shame. However a small display as you walk in with lots of photos (a lot very hard to look at with dead bodies, but you have to look at them because it's part of history and see exactly what these humble Thai people went through. Truly shocking and terrible.) A local man there who luckily survived tells his story & got the scars both externally (and internally). It's an emotional place. Worth a visit. It's free entry but you can buy souvenirs there & money goes to a Tsunami fund. They are very overpriced so hopefully the money goes in the right direction!

Beautiful part of this coastline very private beach unknown by most visitors. The water is very nice to swim also the beach is great for walking north to south. Our favourite beach of our month long visit to Thailand. Most other beaches that we went to were really busy which is not our cup of tea at all.
This beach was always very quiet and is ideal for walking for miles in either direction, which we did every time that we visited. We were staying in Khao Lak but it worth the 10 - 15 minute journey heading north to get away from the crowds.
The sea was always calm and ideal for swimming.
We always used The Golden Teak restaurant and bar which is one of the first that you come to as the food and drink were excellent and the staff were brilliant. ( See my review )
We would spend all day there which was so relaxing.

My introduction to this beach was a gentleman by the name of Mr Eak saying welcome to paradise. He was not wrong, this place is staggering, even in the rain it is beyond beautiful.
The little cluster of traditional beachside huts only adds to it’s magic.
The Sun is the first open hut, run by the inimitable Mr Ex, a wonderfully robust character who’s only desire appears to be to make you as comfortable, safe & secure as possible, offering free beach chairs with a vista that is unparalleled. The cocktails here are unsurpassed.

Such a beautiful beach and good exploration walking north and south.
Due to covid craziness all businesses that were on this beach are closed. The hotel here still operates and food at their beachfront pool restaurant is very reasonably priced.
We ate and used their pool and facilities. Spent a total of 4 hours at this beach.

A clean stretch of sandy beach with some rocks scatters here and there.
There are many restaurants, bars, massage huts, all very reasonably priced.
I do recommend Mr Eak’s crew for the massages and Boom Boom restaurant for the food and service.
This year the food on the beach’s restaurant was much better than at the TUI resort (and much cheaper too), apart from the Talay Thai restaurant.
Worth knowing: snorkelling here is not good; the sea floor being sandy makes for 20cm of visibility. No fishes could be seen.
For snorkelling, book a trip to the Simillan or Surin islands; this was amazing!

Rawai Muay Thai is a remarkable gym in Khao Lak that has been around for quite some time, particularly catering to women enthusiasts of the sport. The gym boasts a vast open-air space with top-of-the-line equipment and trainers who are exceptional in their craft. It is an excellent place to learn Muay Thai and offers individual attention to all participants, even during large group sessions.
We had one session at Rawai Muay Thai gym. The location is convenient. We stayed around the beach, and it took us around 15 minutes on a scooter to get to the gym. We paid 300 per person for the morning session (8AM - 10AM). They let us use their gloves (we had our own wraps). You can also purchase wraps in their shop.
We did a little warm up run around the gym, skipping, stretched. Then half of the people went one-on-one with coaches for four rounds of pad work, and the rest of us did the rounds on the heavy bags. Then we switched. After that we sparred and practiced technique with a partner. We finished with conditioning our abs and a stretch. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I had four amazing rounds of pad work with a coach where we did two first rounds of only boxing, then he changed the pads and we included kicks in the last two rounds.
I def recommend this gym for anyone, regardless of the experience, to come and train here.

Rawai Muay Thai is really a gem in the south of Thailand! I could only stay for two weeks but would suggest anybody to stay at least a month. The two daily sessions provide plenty of exercise, training and coaching. They include running, skipping, stretching, shadowboxing, pad work (five rounds with one of the very skilled and patient Thai coaches), punching bag (five rounds), a little bit of technique and sparring. That sound much for two hours but I can promise you that the time just flies by. I would recommend everybody to book in private sessions on top: You will learn so much! From the very beginning you will experience a pleasant "family feeling" on the camp, I have rarely before meet so kind and helpful people as at Rawai Muay Thai. For those who don´t feel like riding to the wonderful beaches all the time, the well kept local pool is a very good alternative. Two restaurants nearby provide excellent meals at a low price. Your fellow boxers come from all over the world! So what more can you wish for?

Superb Muay Thai Gym In Khao Lak!
One of the first gyms in Phuket, especially for women! The owners were here during our visit, and we loved the story of how they opened this gym to cater to female Muay Thai enthusiasts back in the day when it was more common for only men to learn Muay Thai! We had a blast training here, and my kids were completely safe playing around as we trained! The open-air gym is very spacious and equipped with top-notch equipment. There were large groups during our session, but we received individual attention as we trained- without anyone losing out. The trainers are phenomenal! I would totally recommend this gym to anyone looking to learn Muay Thai in Khao Lak!

Amazing muay thai camp, for all levels! Very encouraging and positive atmosphere. I felt like being part of the family with the trainers, the camp staff and the other students from day 1 on. I was a beginner to muay thai but had a great trainer being specialised on the beginners, who spoke very well English by the way. At the same time there were specialized trainers focusing on those who prepared fights. Further, the camp is very well organized and provides everything you need, e.g. they have a little shop, great laundry service or airport transfer. The area is perfect to complement the training: a small village with great food, nature and closeby beaches, where students often recover and spend their time together between the trainings.
I already miss the camp and the people there and can't wait to come back again!

Brilliant muay thai gym with a fun and family orientated way towards training.
Diana, Tuk and the trainers have done an amazing job with establishing a friendly environment regardless of fitness level or previous muay thai experience.
I trained here for a month as a total beginner, and really picked up the sport thanks to the team.
The gym is great for:
- Learning muay thai with a respect towards its traditional roots and origins
- Family approach. Local kids and pets sometimes come in to train and say hello. The team celebrate successes and invite trainees for BBQs and events
- Low ego training from both trainers and trainees. Everyone is just here to learn, improve and have a laugh
- Challenging and sweaty sessions that are well capped to your capabilities
- Being in a quieter part of Thailand (away from Phuket partying)
Ps: For post training massages, try Didi Massages. She's a serious expert in her craft, and was a life saver for me.

A great experience and a fantastic community. I've been for a training with two boys 15 yo and 16 yo. They loved the training and I was impressed by the school and the people, students, trainers and staff. Bang Sak Beach is a serene and less crowded beach in Khao Lak that is frequented by locals for relaxation. Occasionally, some western tourists visit the place on rented motorbikes. Unlike other touristy beaches, this one does not have deckchairs and umbrellas cluttering the sand. There are several restaurants and bars lined up along the Long Beach where visitors can indulge in great food and drinks served on straw mats under the woods. The sunset views are breathtakingly beautiful here.
Lovely beach. Lots of shells, corals and rocks so wear boat shoes when wading into the water. There are jelly fish and sea lice so take care

Nice beach, my caution to others is the quantity of shells and corals to dodge on much of the beach itself and as you are entering the ocean. There seems to be a meter wide area full of hard corals that your poor feet need to dodge. And today we saw a jellyfish washed on shore.
The beach is frequented by locals on the weekends and the row of restaurants behind and to the side of this Google map designated beach is busy. Try them out! Support local.

Endless stretch of white sand.and rolling waves.
Go towards the end near Sentido Resort where it is really quiet.
You can also walk all the way to Ban Thap Tawan Beach
The Ton Pling Waterfall is a magnificent destination that offers peaceful and soothing surroundings, crystal clear water and breathtaking views. Admission to the waterfall is free, making it an affordable attraction for visitors. The best time to visit the waterfall is during the monsoon season when there is abundant flow of water and lush greenery surrounding it. Activities such as swimming and hiking can be enjoyed by visitors.
Ton Pling Waterfall is a great little waterfall at the South end of Khao Lak. The best thing about this waterfall is that it is very easily accessible right next to the parking area without the need for a hike through the rainforest to get there. We walked from The Merlin Hotel, a distance of 1km.
Once you cross the highway the road is small and quiet and there are lots of different types of flowers and birds to enjoy as the road gently ascends to the waterfall.
There is a small waterfall drop and cool clear water cascading over numerous boulders. You can take a dip in the water and climb over the rock for photographs. We recommend wearing water shoes and be careful as the rocks are slippery.
It is quiet and peaceful here with lots of lush greenery all around.

Lovely waterfall. Good for a swim if you can get down to the bottom of the steps. Really need a hand rail to ensure safety! Very slippy steps down!

Lovely little waterfall. Worth a visit, but you will not spend a lot of time here, unless you want to go for a dip in the water.

Small ponds but several of them in the sry season. The fish are curious if you are patient. The cicadas sounded like turbines. Very refreshing dip.

Small nice waterfall, ready for a bath. It is easy to reach with a parking opportunity right beside.

Nice place and waterfall with easy access (you can literally drive there). Interesting walk further up the paved road and then after the (closed) restaurant walk into nature and enjoy nice views towards the sea.
You can also have a fresh juice or smoothie from a very kind lady just opposite of the car parking.

Worth a stop if you’re in the area.
We stopped on the way back from a bamboo river trip. Great if you’re early as it’s small and you wouldn’t want to be there with lots of people as it’s quite small.
Best bit
It’s free

Very accessible small waterfall. Too bad water flow was too fast due to the rain and we didn’t prepare any change of cloths to enjoy the nice water.

This is a wonderful waterfall to have a nice refreshing swim in. The water isn’t deep and the temperature is just right. It’s a natural waterfall so you have to be reasonably agile to get to it.
Justin Mitchell — Google review
Beautiful waterfall. It’s worth it to see. The last days we had much rain so we had a lot of water but not that much tourists.
From the road and parking place to the spot is like 1 min walking. In case you expect hiking, you don’t need to.
We enjoyed it there. (60 min max.)
Deniz Bul — Google review
Really nice waterfall. It has many small fishes living in and they are very curious when you stand still for a little while. The water is clean, not deep and refreshing. I went to the second layer down where I can find a lot of spots to sit and enjoy the sound and the sun. I came in December so the water wasn’t high, a lot of rocks to sit.
Nittra Nam — Google review
Such a nice place but no one really took care of this beautiful waterfalls.
Better you go in raining season because have more water whoever they have quite enough water to swim in hot season.
You better bring towel to help you when you changing the clothes and swimming we a.
Bring your own drink and food because there I no shop near by.
AND BEWARE OF YOURSELF AND PLEASE KEEP THIS WATERFALLS BEAUTIFUL with keep/bring your own rubbish away from here.

Amazing 1 on 1 hour session, trainer instantly picked up on flaws in my technique and corrected them - even gave a brief massage at the end. Brilliant for advanced fighters and beginners.

Decent personal session for three. Out priced though - 1500 bht for an hour, which is extortionate for the country.
Certainly a place to discover Thai boxing with kids, but don’t expect the real thing.

It was really nice time there. For 1.5h we were feeding, washing and putting mud on skin of elephant for 2000 baths (2 adults + child). After all activities there was also fruit dessert +water. Owners are not speaking English, but with hands and images we showed what we want. Elephant seems to have there good conditions to live. From minuses owners are offering riding (that we didn't take)
Mateusz Pryczkowski — Google review
Please please don’t visit these kinds of “sanctuaries”. They’re not actually real and the elephants are not treated right here. You should not ride, bathe or touch them. Please this is animal cruelty for money.
Flower — Google review
Unfortunately they allow riding, which should NEVER BE ALLOWED and mudding and bathing which unless the elephant want/needs it, could make them uncomfortable. AVOID, poor practices!!!

Absolutelly amazing time. Run by super friendly and honest family. Had a ride on 2 elephants hagled and got for 2000 baht for 2 kids and 2 adults for about 40 min ride. And extra 50baht for feeding (basket of bannanas) (Other camp next door asked 3500baht just for 20min ride). This camp have 2 elephants one of them named Tongdee, both as owner said about 40 years old and clever, have not seen to be touched with stick, they listen to voice commands and do as asked. Owner very friendly told a lot things about camp and elephants, like grown up ones eats 300kg daily and cost quite a lot to keep them. Not crowded place, feels like private tour. We got there by rented car. Even got picture together with his family. Verry recomended. While wated for elephants to be ready we were offered some fruits, pineaple, cofe, cold water, bisquits. Amazing 5* service. Kids loved so much, we had such amazing time. Would give even more stars if could :)

Great people, pretty elephants. Bargain with them a little of you can. IMO all these elephant places are charging a little much, but it's worth the experience.

Had a great time. Elephants are well looked after and I licked that you only swam with them and didn't ride them.

Highly recommend. Nice and clean, great hosts and the most wonderful friendly elephant 😊
Pakarang Cape is a beautiful secluded spot on the east coast of Khao Lak with stunning views of the seashore and lined up boats. It is a popular spot among couples, especially as it offers lovely sunsets. However, it can be quite rugged and not the best beach to sunbathe on due to its shells and coral.
Great place , I love today with low tide.
To walk , to see the locals…
Sonia Givray — Google review
Nice place to watch the sunset.
Really quiet when we were there
Kez To the B — Google review
Laid back and peaceful and at the right time of the year some decent waves can be surfed here. The cape itself was torn off by the 2004 Tsunami and the whole place has never really bounced back from it. Used to be a nice parking area at the end of the road with local Thai restaurants. It was a great place to stop for a snack and a few drinks mid journey. No tourists!!
Gregory John — Google review
Quiet place with a stony beach at the end of the road. Looks pretty wild and lost since the tsunami incident.
Uberkinger Dojo — Google review
It’s a place for local fishing boats.
Nothing there. No beach or beach bars.
You would be better off going to Memories beach : beautiful sand / bars and food. Same sunsets
Jonathan Williams — Google review
Not sure if I come at the right time, but there's nothing here. Don't waste your time.
Ruxo Zheng — Google review
If you're a tourist dork, yes there is no bar
If you need to be hassled while trying to enjoy nature, yea go to memories. But at sunset with the protruding rocks, this place is great - don't read the other reviews by tourists who have no idea what they're talking about
Felipe Gonzalez Noguchi — Google review

very nice and unique place to watch the sunset. we were totally alone.
there are no bars or restaurants nearby. thats. probably why there are no tourists.
very impressive on low tide as you can walk quite a bit out in the shallow beach. also impressiv on incoming tide.

Pakarang Cape is a nice place to watch the sunset. There is a big parking lot just in front of it and the way to the beach is short. Unfortunately we were only there for one evening and only experienced the beach at low tide. For swimming it seems to me clearly unsuitable. But for the first time we saw surfers in Thailand who used this place to shoot a video of themselves. At dusk we were attacked by hordes of mosquitoes despite the Insect repellent we used just a short time ago. Some locals made a campfire here in the evening and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Holger Stridde — Google review
Not a lot to see. A lot of fishing boats. Fisherman searching for crab and lobster etc. It was off season and the place looked a little abandoned and unmaintained
Namtok Sai Rung is a beautiful waterfall in a shady forest grove with a small pool for swimming and a waterside cafe. It is an easy spot to spend time if you're visiting Khao Lak, particularly with a picnic, and it's Admission Free!
Beautiful waterfall. One of the better ones in this area. Early morning there was no one there.
We tried to get all the way to the top. But we had to stop halfway because the road was nor clear and looked inaccessible to us. Because if rainseaon less tourists and the path less traveled and less maintained. But still a beautifully place! Also great for a swim. After hiking we had a refreshing drink and fruit. And saw arme turtles in the creek.
Viviane Bronkhorst — Google review
Beautiful ride to the waterfall, easy to find and easy road.
Walking to waterfall from parking is 2 min.
It is possible to go to the upper waterfall (same waterfall but on a upper level), but it is very steep and not any good way and when on the top there is not much to see really.
It is possible to take a bath and swim, aprox 130cm deep
Jacob Widtfeldt — Google review
Nice smaller waterfall just outside of Khao Lak easy scooter ride. You can bathe in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. It was small when l was there in January but changes if it rains. Nice little cafe there The food is ok they make smoothies from fresh fruit. 20 bht parking fee don't know why it's like a donation
David Hasnip — Google review
Nice place to take a dip in the water. We got their on rented scooters. There is a small restaurant at the base where you will need to pay for parking. Thier food and drinks are nice as well.
Amanda Northcross — Google review
Accessible via motorcycle or car, a really quiet place and cozy little water fall. In comparison with Tong Chong Fa, I’d say this is much preferred, as it is very quiet and free. To avoid other tourists, you can plan to arrive in the early morning, likely you’ll have rhe water fall for yourself.

Rocky cascade in a shady forest grove, with a small pool for swimming & a waterside cafe.
Very amazing waterfall. Short Trek to reach it. Not many people. Very calm and serene.
You can swim as well at the base of the waterfall. Small cafe for quick snacks and drinks. Definitely recommend visiting the waterfall.
The path to the waterfall is safe and not too challenging.

Took a ride with a bicycle. Accessibility is good even though it's raining quite hard.
Part of the road is a bit muddy.
I suggest asking Google Maps for a walking trail to streamline the ride, as riding is not an option here.
20 Baht parking charge is still mandatory.

Parking 20 Baht only.
Good path to 1 waterfall.
There was 1 big tree with bad access.
Should be easy tidy around.

Smaller waterfall but easier to find and shorter walking distance. Make sure to wear proper shoes, no flip flops, as the terrain gets very slippery and uneven. It’s a nice activity and very peaceful surroundings.

An Absolutely Gorgeous And Refreshing Waterfall!
This is one of the best waterfalls I’ve been to in Khao Lak! The running water is so clean and inviting. You can sit by the water or shower in it to completely unwind. Amazing place to connect with nature and become rejuvenated. The path to the waterfall is safe and was not too challenging even with 3 kids! It's right by Suan Rim Naam which is a restaurant and bar, so you can indulge in some great food after enjoying the lovely water from the fall!

Worth a visit, be patient about finding it because the signs are not too good. The owner has improved the gardens a lot over the years, the butterfly farm has new nets and there are plenty of butterflies flying around in the mornings. Orchids are also nice, the price is 250Baht but she has to put a lot of effort into the upkeep, so thats fine. Great for taking photos.
martin warren — Google review
Really nice for a quick visit. We spent about an hour here. The garden is dedicated to the conservation of native Thai orchids, so it's not so much an ornamental orchid garden but more of a collection of different species. It still has many interesting orchids though, and the butterfly garden is awesome. Beautiful tropical plants and lots of different butterfly species. The outdoor garden is also really good. The garden is privately owned by a mother and daughter who are both lovely and very accommodating. Gave us lots of information, mosquito repellent, and some water when we were done. Great place to visit!
Benjamin Ridley — Google review
Had a wonderful morning at the garden. We got a taxi from our hotel and the taxi driver waited for us at the gardens. We grow orchids at home so loved seeing native Thai orchids. The hybrid varieties were also very beautiful. The butterfly area was great. There was a huge atlas moth which had hatched and then lots of other species with a book available to spot what they were. The orchid garden was a hidden gem. Don't expect manicured gardens and everything in flower - this is a natural environment to help preserve native species and so is rustic but well cared for. We loved it
Faye Heaps — Google review
Beautiful butterflies but most of the orchids were not blooming. I guess they flower at some other time. Worth a visit if you enjoy butterflies. Entrance fee 250 baht.
Ville Hiltunen — Google review
Literally nothing to see there. Everything dry and horrible... Much nicer flowers you can see by any hotel in khao lak. Zero information to use anti mosquito before you go inside. Paid 400 baht (for 2) been there for 10 mins and got more bites than for previous two weeks in Thailand...
M.Maciejewski — Google review
A very long way out (we made the mistake of thinking we could walk-don't trust tourist map) and very low key when you get there. Not cheap either. Not really worth the trip I'm afraid.
