Tweechol Botanical Garden is a spacious and well-manicured landscape that offers various activities such as walking, riding, and boating amidst beautiful flowers and swans. The garden also boasts animal-shaped hedges, making it an ideal location for families to enjoy a peaceful retreat. Despite the slightly challenging drive to get there, visitors are warmly welcomed by the attentive staff who offer excellent service. Each room in the northern-style hotel is generously sized for families to comfortably stay in.
Here is the best for family to stay . Because of the space is very huge to explore with everyone to enjoy it. It's a very good location if you come from main road . During the hotel area is very beautiful and peaceful . The staff is very good service and warm welcome to visitors . Each room is like a northern style . Room size is quite big for family . Anything in here is super cool.

I stayed with the family at the hotel/convention center on the property. This was an amazing 1 stop perfect family trip.
The gardens are beautifully well kept and constantly evolving. The bike trails are well marked, the animals generally well cared for and healthy, and there are numerous play areas to stop, stretch and run around with the kids.
Bike rental is reasonable (2hr rental) or you can bring your own bike for a small fee and ride all day. There is food, coffee, and snacks all on the grounds making the stay a simple one.
Did I mention the main pool has a water slide? We will be returning for sure!

Lovely variety of plants to walk or cycle around. We went in the morning and stayed all day. There is a nice swimming pool that you pay to use. When we were there we had the pool to ourselves for the whole afternoon. Definitely worth a visit and nice to get out of Chaing Mai for the day. Only 30 minutes on the scooter from the city.

We loved the place. Drive is a bit mental to get there, but worth it. Take your time and walk around the place. Bikes are an option to hire too, but maybe after you've already checked the place out on foot. You'd miss loads otherwise

Such a paradise just outside Chiang Mai. We spent a wonderful day here, a lot of different trees and plants, everything is so well taken care of ❤️. We also enjoyed the swimming pool in the middle of the day, when it was the hottest.
You can rent a bike or a golf car och take a bus in the park - but we just enjoyed the park on foot, so much to see and admire! Recommended for everyone who wants to relax from a city buzz.
When it comes to the animals, they are in a good condition to my mind, not worse and not better than in any other zoo.. However, they shouldn't be kept in cages of course. But this is rather a question to the world, not this specific zoo. Deers are kind, rabbits are fluffy, buffalos were clapped by the man who took hand of their cages. Parrots and other birds can be released into a wild ❤️.

I visited the park twice! The entrance is around 85THB and you can spent the hole day there.
There are multiple toilets and you can find some playgrounds for children.
It looks stunning and is nice to walk around.
Also there are buses who drive you around if you want and you can rent a bicycle.

It’s great here. We can see many plants that we don’t know. We recommend children to come and play. It’s fun, boating, horse feeding, etc. Even though the botanical garden can be called a zoo.

A tiny bit expensive by Thai standards but worth spending a few hours walking, biking or catching the bus. You can also get a guided tour in a gold cart by a knowledgeable and friendly driver.
The whole place is child and family friendly but enjoyable for adults looking for a quiet afternoon.
The cafe and restaurant is good and reasonably priced.

The gardens are very lovely with some cute playgrounds. We hired 2 bikes as it was hot and it is quite large. But way too expensive!!! We finally found a restaurant for a drink and foid. Service was super slow, but food was nice. I don't think I would ever go again. Why they charge for admission I don't understand!!!

A beautiful botanical garden with a small zoo. It’s worth renting a bike (75 baht), cause it’s a large place. A great place for plant lovers. There are also a few traditional Lanna style wooden houses you can visit.

Just beautiful place to spend lovely day surrounded by natural beauty of tropical paradise. It’s big and you can walk or pay for the rent of bike of tour car. The part of the botanical garden is also a small zoo with different kinds of birds but also deers, bulls, ponies and camel.

A pleasant stopover on the way to Chiang Rai or for something different to do when in Chiang Mai. The gardens are kept very well and so colorful - lovely fern and cacti. It would be nice if beautiful birds were clipped and allowed to roam free in the gardens - sad to see them in cages (but very clean)

A real hidden gem free from the masses of tourists! Super beautiful gardens with a really peaceful vibe situated about half hour away from the center of the city.
The staff were super friendly and it was a true privilege to cycle around this beautiful location.

A really beautiful garden where you can ride around with a bicycle and take cute pictures.
Only 3 stars because the animals are living in small cages.

Really fantastic and vast botanical garden not too far from the city center. So many beautiful displays and little walking paths to explore. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and there was hardly anyone there which is great for those who enjoy solitude. Renting a bike is a must if you want to see all of the grounds in a reasonable amount of time. I though this was way better than Queen Sirikit gardens. Will absolutely come back on my next trip to Chiang Mai.

We hired bikes and had a lovely day just riding around looking at all the different types of plants. There is lots to look at and the place is very big so the bikes are definitely worth hiring
Wat Phra That Doi Saket is a Buddhist temple situated on Doi Saket, a small hill about 30 kilometers outside of Chiang Mai. Legend has it that Lord Buddha once visited the area and offered his hair to the naka for worship. The temple features a golden chedi containing a relic of Lord Buddha, similar to Doi Suthep temple.
Beautiful temple. More spread out than many other places, so be prepared to jump in and out of the car to visit it all.

If you like temples and views, it's a nice place to visit.

The air is good, quiet, food and beverages are inexpensive. How kind. He spread the gospel to them. Although there is a temple, Jesus' love will flow. I visited twice with a evangelist couple from Shanghai, China.
PEACE KIM — Google review
I visited this temple while traveling from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.
Pros
1. I found it unexpectedly big. There are 3 big Buddha statues.
2. The temple is calm and likely used for religious ceremonies and celebrations.
3. Can visit for free
4. Free parking
5. There are a few shops to buy water, soft drinks and snacks
6. Clean toilets
Considerations
1. Please wear full length clothes.
2. It gets really hot and the idols are not in a shady place. Please carry an umbrella and cold water.

Nice place to come and get some exercise while enjoying the sound of nature. Great views during sunset hours. Lovely place to watch the sun rise. This way
Just added a new sky bridge with glass bottom. It was not yet open when I last visited.
Wendi Goo — Google review
A typically fine Thai temple, atop a hill with good views (when pollution is not around).
You can drive up or walk the 350 steps (in both directions) and get some exercise.
Plenty to see and explore whilst there.
chiangmaicharlies — Google review
You can reach the temple passing through Doi Saket town. For bikers, you need to pedal a bit but it’s worth seeing the amazing wall depictions in the Main Temple created by the artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. There is a new very huge reclining Buddha statue construction going on and I wonder how it will look like after completion.

This temple complex is awesome. Many places go visit here. Ended up having a private blessing from Monk as I had fresh fruit offerings for them. We received free lunch from the temple kitchen. Do nice. Buddha statue at the top of the staircase is worth the stair climb for the view of the landscape plus the Buddha. Doi Saket is 35 mins from Chiang Mai centre.

Best view of Doi Saket once you reach the top. Not that difficult of a climb and worth the 200 or so steps up. Expansive temple property with various smaller pagodas and other buildings on this mountaintop Wat.

Even though I wasn't able to enter the Temple buildings, I give this place 5 stars for the sheer variety of beautiful buildings and Buddha images spread along the top of this hillside. The crowning glory is the great views from the top of long flight of steps upto a Buddha Statue. There are some food stalls here to provides for visitors and perhaps more for the community of monks living here. The site is still being developed with the construction of a reclining Buddha in process. Interesting to see how they're building this with a type of concrete/plaster being spread across a shaped metal mesh frame.

Indescribable how holy this place where we had an opportunity to visit for the first time was to us. Upon arrival, after climbing step by step to the temple area, all of us suddenly felt the sacred serenity permeating all over the place. At first we expected the major crowd because of the weekend, but it’s surprisingly desolate and silent. Blissful for me and my entourage to get inside the golden pagoda to pay respect to the Buddha’s relics peacefully. Thankfully, once in a lifetime.

(Translated by Google) I heard that it is the largest farm in Chiang Mai, so I asked about it. It is a facility worth seeing, with beautiful historical buildings, a farm, a workshop, objects, and a restaurant. There is a wide selection of items, from reasonably priced celadon ware to antiques, making it a good choice for sightseeing. When I sent a message on Facebook to confirm the business, I received a polite reply. Thank you very much for welcoming me. I'm lucky to be able to purchase a very good Celadon grill.

Doi Saket Hot Spring offers a variety of experiences for visitors. While there are free activities such as soaking your feet and enjoying the serene atmosphere, the option to contribute through donation boxes is available. Paid services include private baths, massages, and access to bathing pools. Additionally, visitors can purchase eggs to cook in the hot springs.
Great small hot springs with nice view on mountains and rice fields. In our opinion its better than San Kamphaeng hot springs because more intimacy, beautiful surrounding and few people. Great place to go after cycling or trekking in the mountains around.

A nice place to sit and soak your feet. There are some things you can do that don't cost money. They do have donation boxes placed around if you want to help out.
They also have paid services available, like private baths, massages or bathing pool.
They have eggs you can buy and cook in some of the really hot springs as well.
The few times I've been there it's been quiet and laid back and the other people visiting have mostly been locals and very friendly.

Several options are available: dip your feet in the communal hot water channel, boil some eggs or go for a swim. The VIP private room is 100 baht each, where you can luxuriate in the hot sulphurous waters.

We love hot springs so came to explore the hot springs here.
There is cafe here and even a spectacles shop.
Free for resting your feet in the natural hot spring water. Alternatively you can pay to enjoy the hot spring in a more private room.
There is also traditional Thai massage treatments available on site.
Here u can buy some eggs and make your own onsen eggs.

The place only has a handful of visitors on weekdays. We opt for VIP Zone (300B) which is a huge private semi outdoor bath facing the paddy field. The room is a bit rundown, but we still find it comfortable and enjoyable. There are 70B and 100B private room options, or 50B for the public pool. 10B for towel rental. Or you can boil your own hot spring eggs for 40B. Most of the eateries are not open on weekdays.

This place has been upgraded since few years ago that I’ve been there . It is around 30 minutes outside of Chiangmai and well managed and super clean . They have got public pool as well as private baths . If your going out with your family they’ve got small and medium sized room average 150 baht per hour which are very celan and sanitary . There are also massage options right in front of the office . There are few local restaurants ( very yummy ) as well as coffee shops and fruits vendors at very reasonable prices. If you go party of 5+ people you can always rent their big bathtub that can easily holds up to 10 people at 150 baht per head . There are 2 hot springs in Chiangmai area and this one is the newest one and there is no entrance fees where as the old one you must pay a foreigner price . It is a must seen place if your up to hot spring bath . During high season shouldn’t choose Sundays as it can be a bit crowded.

I went to this hot spring a few weeks ago. The new VIP room costs only 100 baht per person for 30 minutes. The workers there looks kind and friendly. When I was there, there are many people and there are some tourists from Japan. I guess it was due to year end peak season. There are many restaurants/stalls that you may buy food and drink. There is also a performance stage. There might be some performances at certain dates/timings

Totally Gross . not possible to put 0 stars ?
I have travelled developing countries all my life and am Not a travel snob .
I love to see the Reality of each country .
However this place is a virtual Garbage Can with running hot water .
V.I.P. ROOMS ??!!
Virtually ( mold) INFESTED PIGSTYE ?
Over 80%of the facilities are shut down ...the other 20% are filthy ,mouldy and Run down but should be shut down .
it is a real shame .
I wouldn't return if you paid me and apologized to my wife for bringing her .
Like my( dear departed) Father said , " You don't have to be rich to be clean"
Not exaggerating , steer clear of this place until they clean it up .

Something special. A few pools with warm and very hot water. Opened late and free. It's not possible to enter the pools. You just pour water on your body using what you can as dish. Nice to see locals making it.
jean-claude Bresson — Google review
Pros: Friendly and clean environment. No entry fee nor extra surcharge for foreigners. Private bathroom charge of 70/100 baht.
Cons: Cold water shower only. It’s a fair bit of drive from the city. The massage area is a common and open area, so no privacy. Therefore foot massage is fine but not Thai massage.
The Thai/ foot massage cost 200 baht per hour, while Thai massage with oil cost 250 baht per hour.

The hot springs fell short of our expectations. They're pricey, lack hot water!, air conditioning in the large private rooms, and the sofas are tiny. Additionally, we only received one towel despite paying for two. In conclusion, I can't recommend these springs when there are much better options around Chiang Mai.

The place is really decadent
The color of the water
The shape of pools
The maintenance...
Was really looking forward to seeing the place

The Mae Kuang Dam Lookout Point is a picturesque location that offers stunning views of a man-made lake surrounded by mountains. This area is popular for fishing and features a suspension bridge that adds to the allure of this scenic spot. Visitors can take in the breathtaking landscape and enjoy the natural beauty of their surroundings. This lookout point provides an ideal setting for those who appreciate nature's splendor, with its tranquil ambiance and captivating scenery.
Nice little hike up to see the water reservoir (google map took us to a dead end so we ended up walking the stairs to the viewpoint). Beautiful outlook! Definitely worth the drive for a quick visit but not an all day stay.

It's beautiful beyond words and definitely worth visiting! There are no tourists at all, and the scenery is very shocking! However, there will be some problems with Google's navigation. It took us a long way, and when we found it impassable, we spared ourselves a long way to find our way. In short, here, you can enjoy the most beautiful scenery in Chiang Mai!

On a fine day you get great views across the lake to the mountains beyond as the sun shines from behind you as you face the Dam. Views into the valley not so good as you face into the sun. Beware if following Google Maps as will ring you to a closed off road on the West side of the Dam. I had to double back and found the correct route through the National Park entrance on the East Side. Water level is quite low at the moment as you can see clearly from Drone photo.

Arrived at the man-made lake surrounded by mountains and natural beauty, only to find more pollution and destruction.
A drill rig had been set up on top of the dam, and no barriers placed between the workspace and the lake. Oil and hazardous waste was just flowing freely into the water. Look at the discoloration caused by the pollutants entering the water. Damaged oil drums strewn about.
Disgusting and shameful.

Nice view point from the top of the dam. Please note that the google navigation might lead you to a wrong location. To get there, you will need to pass through a gated area with green sign showing “Man Dam & view point”.

Nice views of the reservoir. Coming here on Google Maps was confusing. You encounter a formidable gate when walking that is trying to keep you from entering the area you are already in, not from entering the building area.

Fuengfah Gallery is an exceptional art institution showcasing the work of unmatched artists who possess extraordinary talent and skill. The gallery leaves a lasting impression on visitors, impressing them with its remarkable display of artistic brilliance.
This is a one of a kind art gallery- the artist N.Jay has been a good friend of my grandmother for many years. This is my second visit to his studio and I am still amazed by his property. His paintings are full of life, and the gallery is very peaceful. N.Jay also has a wonderful collection of model cars and figurines from all sorts of popular culture like Kamen rider, Pokémon, many anime and western cartoons.
My pictures of his art pale in comparison to seeing it in person! If you are planning to go to Doi Saket while visiting Chiang Mai, you must go here as well!! For any local Chiang Mai residents also, this is a hidden gem outside the city. Big thanks to N. Jay for being so gracious to my grandmother 🙏
