A beautiful beach where you can see Nusa Penida Island. Grey sandy beach, visiting preferred when sunrise. Many locals will gather here during Galungan, Kuningan or other Hindu's public holiday in Bali, they sells local products, foods, souvenirs ect.

Pura Silayukti is a Hindu temple located in the east of Padangbai, Bali which dates back to the 11th century. This sacred temple is believed to be the final resting place of Mpu Kuturan who had a significant influence on Balinese religious and cultural traditions. Perched on a hill plateau that stands about 50 meters above sea level, Pura Silayukti features stunning sculptures and stonework that make it an essential destination for visitors.
Silayukti Temple, perched gracefully on Bali's southern coast, emanates a serene charm that beckons both history enthusiasts and spiritual seekers. The seaside setting offers a picturesque view, creating a tranquil ambiance for contemplation. The ancient stone carvings and remnants tell tales of Balinese cultural heritage, inviting visitors to delve into the island's rich past. Though smaller in scale, Silayukti Temple holds a unique allure, blending spirituality with coastal beauty. The absence of crowds enhances the meditative atmosphere, allowing for a more intimate connection with Bali's historical roots. Silayukti Temple stands as a hidden gem, unveiling the island's cultural tapestry.

The Silayukti Temple in Padangbai bay is something amazing. The statue of Empu Baradah is facing the Sea. There are several ceremonies conducted here in traditional way which attracts lots of local citizens.
What I could observe is the temple, it premises, streets all are littered. Garbage is thrown around everywhere.
I'm sure it's not the tourists, but the devotees who visit the temple be responsible.
Normally, Balinese people are very particular about garbage disposal and Go Green, Save the Earth principles are followed. But here it's not seen
May I request you all locals to take care of Padangbai .

Great surounding near the beach. The sound of the wave is peaceful. Sometimes monkeys peep when we are praying. But they are manageable.
The Ekajaya Fast Boat may cause delay of an hour due to petrol issues, inconveniencing passengers. They advise arriving an hour early, but 15 minutes prior may suffice. The boat offers beer for sale and scenic views. Bikers can store their bikes on the boat for IDR 10k per night. Passengers must pay a separate IDR 10k retribution fee in Padang Bai and another IDR 10k entrance fee upon arrival at Gili Trawangan.
Expect this:
They will be late for an hour because “petrol” reason. Crazy that the passengers have to wait another hour for that!
They will ask you to come an hour before departure but seriously just come 15 minutes then.
The boat is actually quite nice.
They are selling Beer on the boat and you can get one.
The views are amazing though
If you bring a bike, you will be able to put your bike there and they have a place for that. You only need to pay IDR 10k per night for your bike.
You will need to pay retribution to the village in Padang Bai IDR 10k before you get to the boat. This is separate from your ticket. Once you get to Gili Trawangan, you will also (again) need to pay another IDR 10k for entrance fee just to come to the island. So please bring more cash!

Our boat from Bali to Ekajaya was good. No issues with the service. The boat was almost on time. The staff was polite and helpful. They did not handled the luggage roughly, so that was a relief.
Definitely recommend their service while traveling between the islands.

I can finally say that Ekajaya Fast Boat was the best fast boat in Bali. I bought the ticket to Gili Air island directly from the sales through WhatsApp. Bought the ticket include the pick up and drop off package from Ubud to Padang Bai harbour, for roundtrip. It was worth it 👍🏼
The fast boat was big, driver and staff was super helpful and they also sell beers and other drinks on board! 👍🏼

Air-conditioned ferry effortlessly transported me from Padang Bai to Nusa Lembongan and back. The trip was easy, and I appreciated the comfort of the ship. Crew members were decent, and I felt like there was a little bit ridicule, but I didn't speak the language. It's not a huge deal, though. I got to my destinations safely. Would be nice if they had an actual port at Nusa Lembongan instead of transferring to a beach for those with disabilities. For me, it was fine.

Respect to the staff, due the bad weather in Bali, we can't accros to Lombok, the staff of Eka Jaya contact me and asked to reschedule or cancel the trip the night before the trip, me asked to reschedule. The Eka Jaya staff really profesional and on time the ferry depart from Padangbai.

Have no idea, why so many negative reviews. None of those was noticed. Booked tickets online on official site, came one hour before, checked in, boat left 10:30 sharp, arrived 1pm, as was mentioned in the ticket. No big queues, boat is super nice (good seats, not overcrowded, upper deck, TV screens, charger sockets), seasick is minimum, evrth went smooth and comfortable. Great company, good service.

Everything works well.
Well organized, comfortable seats and fast ferry.
If you go to the harbor, be aware of the porter.
Why? Because they are external porter and they want a tip of 100k IDR per porter.
How long is the distance from check-in to the harbor? 5min walk --> so in 95% you do not need a porter
Marko — Google review
One of the bigger fast boats at Padangbai. Bought our tickets online with ease and they even had discounts on Fridays.
Just a heads up, the boat ride was rough. It was worse coming back but it really depends on the weather and sea conditions. Highly recommend taking travel sickness tablets at least 30mins before the boat ride. Also, the boat got stuffy during our trip back so I’d suggest wearing light airy clothing as well.
Padangbai > Gili Air - 3.5h
Gili Air > Padangbai - 3h
Things to bring (hand-carry):
* Water
* Snacks
* Lollies (to help w motion sickness)
* Wet wipes
* Ear plugs (if you’re sensitive to the sound of people vomitting)
* Mask/perfume (if you’re sensitive to the smell of vomit)
Things to note:
• You have to register/check-in at the Ekajaya Fast Boat office before boarding. DO NOT head straight to the port with the e-ticket. You won’t be able to board the boat that way.
• Registration opens 1.5h before your boat leaves.
• Once you’ve registered, you’ll be issued a coloured lanyard with your boat number on it. Also, they’ll give you stickers to paste on your clothing indicating your stop. All luggages will be tagged with your intended stop as well.
• You’ll be directed to the port by the staff, here’s where things get confusing. Head straight across the road, through a narrow walkway, keep walking through the open carpark towards the harbour office.
• Purchase one island tax ticket per passenger (IDR 10,000). Hold onto that ticket because they check it.
• For ekajaya fast boats, you won’t miss it. But make sure you’re queueing up for the right boat number. We arrived 1.5h ahead of boarding time and got turned away. Went to have breakfast and came back to chaos (hundreds of tourists crammed into the tiny port).
So I guess its best to arrive early, check-in, purchase island tax ticket, have breakky and wait at the side gate until the port staff allows you to board your boat.
Just wished things would be more organised and for staff to tell us exactly what to do. It was very overwhelming and confusing so hopefully my review helps!🙌🏻

I’m a little bit surprised by the google reviews for this company, at first I’m quite skeptical and worrying about our boat trip to Nusa Penida from Padang Bai. But 7 hours before our trip, we received WhatsApp message from them regarding check in time. Make sure to check in at their office first and the procedure was easy and fast upon check in. Very on time departure for the boat. Staffs are very friendly as well.

We had a very positive experience with this company to and from Gili Air. Plenty of room inside boat with AC. Some empty seats on top too. I get seasick and found the large boat size better for me. Ask questions about the route ahead of time so you understand where it goes. They have to offload the boat onto a transfer boat in the islands, so it adds time. Our 11:30 boat departed at 11:50.

Amazing Experience!! Boat departed from Padang bai on time and arrived in Gili air before time. From gili air to Padang bai departed and arrived 10/15 min late ( but who cares??) I booked everything online, super easy, also with pick up and drop off (best option in my opinion) both drivers texted me the evening before confirming hotel and time. Smooth trip even if the weather was not great from Gili air to Padang bai.
The only thing that I that needs some improvement it’s the lay over from the shuttle boat to the ferry because the people going to gili air are too worry about their luggage and they are on the way and you can’t go in the Ferry.
Please do not book. We paid extra for a direct shuttle bus back into Seminyak and we’re told it was 5 hours to get back via the shuttle bus. We had to get a taxi which was another $60. They also lie and tell you the return tickets on Gili Islands are more expensive so you book the return ticket with them- the tickets in Gili are half the price. Not to mention a missing suitcase!!!! Overall please do not book with this company
all good 5* nornal wait 30min max, boat full full full but no problem you can move Imagine a night club on the water its no business clas airline, they have cold cold beers at decent price, and snacks, we seen delfines and was almost smooth sailing until we hit choppee waves but got there almost in time, our friends chose to come vack with gangari after waiting 1 hour on the pier in the sun on they're way to Gili, it's a local fast transport at local prices you can always take the big night ferry guys don't worrie to much
Valentin Gavril — Google review
I never knew that there is other boat company before I use this company so I must say they are offering cheap tickets for a reason. The fast boats have no AC and it is crucial when you are riding the waves for 2-3 hours duration. You can easily get dehydrated in the heat and easily seasick!!
Beware they only offer shuttle bus transport which means you share the same bus with at least 10-15 others guests and it will take ages for you to get to your destination after disembarked. You will feel sick and there will be loads (literally loads) of people at the harbor trying to convince you pay extra cash to get a private taxi. Hence - cheap - for a reason hidden under the table.
Try find another fastboat company if you are willing to spend more! Would use another company next time when I go to Gili for sure.

Took the fast boat from Lombok to a Padang Bai. We paid 350K which was supposed to include a shuttle bus to Seminyak. Our boat was 2h late and was already full from other islands when it arrived so we had to stand in the alley the entire trip. Once we finally got to Padang Bai, they said there was an hour’s wait for the shuttle and that we were the last to be dropped off after going to Ubud and Canggu first, totalling an additional delay of more than 5h. Avoid if you can!!
Maegan Mitchell — Google review
First, they cram more people than seats in the mini-bus for a 2 hour ride. Miserable. They oversell their fast boat by nearly double, leaving it standing room only inside, and others forced to sit on the roof getting pounded by waves for another 2 hours. I stood for the 2 hour trip. Not enough seats. The boarding process was complete chaos - with no direction or communication. Absolutely never again!

You get what you pay for! It was the cheapest we found from Bali to Gili Air (400k return incl. shuttle), but probably also the worst organized. That said, the boat was new and the transport itself was alright. The only thing that bothered us was that there's no emergency exit on the boat.
Nobody coordinates the boarding, even though there's so much staff around everything needs forever and you end up always being in the last boat that leaves the harbour.
Worst thing was the shuttle service. They don't run a own service, but give it to freelance drivers. Some are okay, some just overload and squeeze you into their vans. Also the drivers wait for you on the harbour trying to get you as a customer. You can imagine how packed and messy the harbour is, which results in long waiting times and slow service. They also don't drive you to your hotel but just kick you out at random streets.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT BOOK. AVOID Dodok company as well. Scammers and I was COMPLETELY overcharged. I was told I would be on Eka Jaya or Golden Queen then after they took my money which I was charged 577.000 each way which is almost double than the rate of Eka Jaya @ 365.000 each way. Then Dodok put me on Ganggari and said I hadn't paid enough money for the other 2 nicer boats then lied to me saying Golden Queen was broken even though the boat pulled up and loaded with people. They are liars! Although the crew of Gangarri were fun and nice guys the boat was almost 90 min late and the luggage situation is a complete cluster. Everything is just thrown in the hull with no system so getting your bags is a mess.
Stay away and you tell them what you will pay. Others on my same boat paid as little as 200.000
Kat Grumet — Google review
I gets you from A to B. And the staff at the harbor is really friendly. BUT luggage is not handled nicely (both suitcases were damaged on transport), the boat is usually overbooked and the last 30 persons can choose between roof (sunburn?) and standing. If you can afford, try others (e.g. Golden Queen, Gili Gili, Wahana according to Harbor Staff, I asked). If price is priority, you might have the right choice (2 other companies I compared were more expensive)
Fabian Lührs — Google review
The experience with this company was horrible, the boat arrived almost an hour late, they made us wait in the sun while the other passengers got off the boat. The ship's bathrooms were very dirty, the air conditioners did not work. Imagine what it is like to travel with the movement of the sea and, on top of that, to be inside a greenhouse.
When we arrived in Bali we were surprised that the bus did not take us to our hotel, WHICH THEY HAD TOLD US WHEN PURCHASING THE TICKET. We complained, along with other people who had been scammed in the same way.
They told us that they would drop us off 100 meters from the hotel at a roundabout. That never happened, they dropped us off at the airport and we had to take a taxi to our hotel.
Added to that, I saw how a male worker yelled at a female tourist who was demanding the same thing as us... she had to asked please don’t yell me. Incredible, tourists are only money for them, not people.
I don't recommend it to absolutely anyone!

We've travelled on several different boat companies and found this one to be the best.. it was a pretty new boat and inside was spacious compared to others..
In regards to ticket price.. Yes you normally have to go through your hotel or third parties and this causes price disparities... Welcome to Asia.
Probably worth noting that when returning back to Bali it is more of a shuttle service not hotel drop off despite what you have been informed.. Luckily for us we were travelling to another part of Bali from the port so it didn't affect us.

They Will Scam you!! And soooo overprised.
They tried to make us pay 800 k/ per person for one way to Gili, and they told us the boat was full but they could manage to get seat for us. So We Then beacuse We was in a hurry We wanted one way ticket to Gili, but Then they changed their offer and said We had to pay 1,5 million for 2 way. So We argued for a little bit. Then We Said no We dont want tickets and went to the next place. The girl in the counter was nice at first and Said that We could get tickets. But Then the Guy from the other place screamed something to her and she turned to me and Said ”full”. Nothing else. All stum and dead.
Then We booked online for the next day 215 k for one way.

Worst experience ever on a boat!
I would advise anyone to book somewhere else, unless you really want to experience how it is to be cattle.
The boat seats a 150 maximum, but these guys don't care so they crammed 250 on it easily. The boat was leaking donwstairs in the seats, people on the top deck were absolutely soaking wet.
Book elsewhere if you still can, if not, good luck to you.

When I read the reviews, I was pretty scared that I booked this one via 124goasia.
However, the experience was actually good. I asked in the office if we could sit on top on the boat, because my girlfriend was not feeling well. No problem!
Yes the boat did not leave on time, but that seems to be always the case. But we saw that the boats before were creating delays.
On the pier, it was a bit of a mess but that was mostly because tourist from other boats were waiting on the pier. While their boat did not arrive yet.
Once we got on the boat, a guy immediately brought us to the top deck. And we had a pleasant experience!

Honestly, it was fine. I was a bit worried after reading other reviews but I think people are comparing it to a western ferry service and forget that they're island hopping in Indonesia. Ive certainly experienced much, much worse journeys than this one.
We made it along with our luggage at roughly the expected time. The boat was fine, a bit old but it did the job. It is what it is. I'm sure there are better fast boat services but you get what you pay for and this one did the job.

First : all companies (except Golden Bees which is the best) are the same. Don’t consider the reviews you find here, you will find exactly the same for all.
This one is not worst than another, it’s you and your luck depending on weather, number of people, delay, etc.
BUT, they are some tips to enjoy your trip anyways :
- best place to seat is outside the boat at the bottom of it(go through the cabin and take the back door). You have shadow, air, and it’s where to boat is moving the least. But you have the engine noise so bring earplugs.
- it’s really warm inside so if you want to still have a seat inside, look at the wind to chose your seat. It’s usually coming south/south west so, if you’re coming from Bali, you should seat left side (right for the other way). You’ll be able to keep your window open and not get wet thanks to that.
- If you see they are putting bags on the roof, try to keep it with you (it will certainly get wet)
- Good price with shuttle in Bali is 300k (you rarely can get less, try not to get more). It could be 350k in peak season.
Anyways, remember that you are in Indonesia, that you didn’t pay a lot for this trip and that you can’t expect a western country service. They live here day-to-day, and if you are feared to be late, just take a boat earlier.
Cyriaque de Beaumont — Google review
No better yet no worse than any other boat company, the 11:30 am ferry didn’t depart till 12:30, boat took 1.5 hours longer than expected and the air con was switched off 15 mins in. Windows could be opened but meant getting soaked. To finish we paid for the shuttle service with ticket, this was a 4.5 hour bus (1.5 hour journey) with no air con- we would also have to wait around for more passengers so the bus could be full. Of course we could upgrade to private for a phenomenal fee, we left and used a local taxi instead.

We had booked a 13:00 ferry to Gili T. Arrived at the ticket office very early and they made everyone head to the port at 12:50. At the port they make you pay an extra 10k per person as a “donation” to Padang Bai (although not optional). We saw lots of people who hadn’t come prepared for the hidden fees and had to get cash out. Then we were ushered onto the pier and had to wait here in the midday sun until 14:30 which is when our boat finally left (an hour and half later than we originally thought). There was no organisation or instruction while on the pier and many people ended up sunburnt and sunstroked due to the limited shelter. There were several other boats taking passengers which made the whole pier chaotic and potentially dangerous, with people climbing around the edge of the pier to get through the crowd. The boarding process was extremely dangerous and a complete free-for-all with people all trying to climb on board at one time and pushing others. It’s a surprise no one was seriously injured. Then once on board it became clear that they had oversold the boat. It was packed like sardines, very hot and claustrophobic. Once the boat started they allowed people to move upstairs (with no shelter) but it was still packed and sticky both upstairs and down. We arrived on Gili T around 17:00 and were very keen to get off.

Took the boat from gili air to bali.
It a scam with many hidden costs. The trip would take about 3 hours for 300k per person which included everything. They told us to be the port at 11:45. The boat arrived at 13:00. When the boat came our ticket was not sufficient and had the pay an additional 20k per person for the port fee.
Then, after after an trip in an overloaded boat with no AC we arrived at the port and a guy from the company told us the transfer would take 4 to 5 hours, UNLESS we paid a total of 300K extra to get a direct transfer.
So the total cost was 30% higher than expected. Please look at alternative companies!

Live report from the pier, total mismanagement and chaos.
- No time management (boat left 2 hours late)
- No crowd management (leaving everyone wait on the super crowded pier in the sun for these two hours)
It was so much worse than expected, and most of the problems could have been easily solved by managing their service and the crowds better.
We booked the boat of 13:00 and even though the company was very aware that the boat was going to be delayed a lot, they chose to let everyone go to the pier at 12:50.
The pier was extremely chaotic with many other boating companies arriving and unloading passengers and luggage.
We had to wait here in the middle of the crowd in the midday sun for another two hours, at 15:00 we finally left. There was no organisation or instruction while on the pier and many people ended up sunburnt and sunstroked due to the limited shelter.

Don't use this company. No idea if any of the others are any better though.
The actual port experience was what we expected; disorganised, hot, extorted for every penny. The boat itself is very uncomfortable and left about an hour late.
The main issue was coming back to Pandang from Gili T. I booked a private car through the Ganggari website, because I know from reading the reviews you can't use Grab and there's a "taxi mafia".
We contacted the taxi driver once we arrived and he said he'd come meet us. 45 minutes later no sign of him and he stopped answering his phone.
A random man comes up to us and says our taxi driver can no longer do the job but they can take us for twice the price (£60!)
Absolutely insane. We ended up taking it because we'd waited so long all the others had gone.
Ganggari should be ashamed of this service. Don't offer something you can't actually do.

Worst trip ever. The boat was 2,5h late and trip to Gilli was not 1h, but 2,5h... No fresh air inside, very bumpy. Upon arrival in Gilli T, there was a collision with another boat, which resulted in a glass windows shattering on the passengers inside. On our way back we booked Wijaya, which was a totally different quality for the same price.

We went with their fast boat from Padangbai to Gili T on 20/02/24. We've read the reviews here the night before, and got a little bit nervous. However the experience was overall good and not as dramatic as some of the reviews suggest.
The boat was about more than half full and the crew was very nice (as it is usual on Bali). Even though the AC was fully working, it got hot inside the boat during waiting for departure from the port. But that is completely understandable as it's still just a thinly-insulated metal box standing on a direct near-equatorial sun. The temperature was much better once we got moving and the wind provided natural ventilation.
I'd say the ride was smooth for a fast-going boat. Meaning it was a little bit bumpy (as it is still a boat), so if you know you get sick on a boat or in a car, take some pill before the journey.
Our departure was scheduled for 9:30, ATD was around 10:00, as we were waiting for some passengers.
We've expected the 10000 IRD/person fee for entering the Gili T as it was written in the confirmation e-mail. And there was also a mention about the 10000 IRD/person Padangbai port fee, but we overlooked it and found about it in the port just before entering. Even though there was a lot of people there, the staff managed to process everyone very quickly. Nevertheless, you should always have some spare cash on you here, and if you don't, it's more a you-problem.
Was it the most pleasant travelling experience we've encountered? Quite frankly, no. But it wasn't bad either. The main point is that it gets the job done and gets you from Bali to Gili. Just expect a boat in tropical climate and not a Swiss train.
I'm giving 5 stars to countweight some of the reviews here, to support the locals here.
